[0022] Embodiments of the Invention
[0023] The present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the accompanying figures.
[0024] As shown in Figures 1-7, a welding mask with an optical waveguide assembly based on the Internet of Things welding system is provided. The welding mask includes a wireless signal receiver 1, an optical waveguide component 2, a welding mask body 4, a fixing housing 5, wires 7, and screws 9. The welding mask body 4 is provided with a mounting hole for the wireless signal receiver and two mounting holes for the fixing housing. The welding mask body 4 has a mask protective color change function.
[0025] Figure 4 shows the wireless signal receiver and operation control circuit PCB board. The operation control circuit PCB board has two mounting holes. The operation control circuit PCB board 14 is fixedly arranged in the fixing housing 5. The wireless signal receiver 1 is mounted in the fixing housing 5 and is connected to the operation control circuit PCB board 14 for signal transmission, and can transmit the received signals to the operation control circuit PCB board. The top of the wireless signal receiver 1 passes through the mounting hole for the wireless signal receiver on the welding mask body 4 and is exposed to the outside of the welding mask body 4.
[0026] As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the fixing housing 5 is a plastic box-shaped structure and is opened at its upper end. Two mounting studs of the fixing housing 6 are provided inside the fixed housing 5. The two mounting studs of the fixing housing 6 pass through the two mounting holes on the PCB board and two corresponding mounting holes for the fixed housing on the welding mask body 4 and mount the fixing housing 5 inside the welding mask body 4 via fixed connection by the screws 9.
[0027] The optical waveguide assembly shown in Figure 6 comprises a micro display 13, a fixed cover 12, and an optical waveguide lens 11. The micro display 13 is mounted in one piece by the fixing cover 12 fixed to one end of the optical waveguide lens 11. The information displayed on the micro display 13 is magnified on an outcoupling display window 16 at the other end of the optical waveguide lens 11 by the optical waveguide lens 11. The optical waveguide assembly 2 is integrally bonded and fixed inside the welding mask body 4 by adhesive. The location of bonding can be on the liquid crystal glass of the welding mask, through transparent adhesive, or on the side of the liquid crystal glass. The bonding standard is: the outcoupling display window 16 of the optical waveguide lens 11 is located within the liquid crystal glass area, and the fixing cover 12 is located outside the liquid crystal glass area. Because the fixing cover 12 must not enter the liquid crystal glass area of the welding mask to avoid affecting the welder's sight.
[0028] The wires on the operation control circuit PCB pass through the U-shaped notch 15 of the fixing housing. The optical waveguide assembly 2, the power supply of the welding mask body and the welding control circuit 8 is connected. The signals received by the operation control circuit PCB board are transmitted to the optical waveguide assembly over the wires 7 for magnified display.
[0029] Figure 7 shows the principle of the optical waveguide assembly: the micro display 13 displays corresponding voltages, currents, alarm signals, etc. shown in the figures according to different signal information. The light 19 shown in the figure enters the optical waveguide assembly through the incoupling window 17 on the optical waveguide assembly. The light shown in the figure is transmitted inside the optical waveguide assembly since a coating 18 portion of the optical waveguide assembly will propagate the light according to certain rules until it is transmitted from the outcoupling display window 16 of the optical waveguide assembly and projected to the human eye. The entire optical waveguide assembly is transparent with good line-of-sight light transmittance, which does not affect the observation of objects in the area covered by the optical waveguide assembly.
[0030] During installation, as shown in Figure 5, the wireless signal receiver is installed inside the welding mask body, and a hole for the wireless signal receiver is drilled on the top of the welding mask body (or other suitable location). The diameter of the hole can be determined by the exposed part of the wireless receiver. Then, two mounting holes for the fixing housing are drilled. The two mounting holes are sized according to the two screws of the fixing housing, and then the wireless signal receiver and the operation control circuit PCB board are placed into the fixing housing, and the wires are placed into the U-shaped notch of the fixing housing. The fixing housing is mounted to the welding mask by the screws.
[0031] The wireless signal receiver receives sent wireless signals (including but not limited to welding current, voltage, shielding gas pressure, wire feed rate, alarm signal, etc.) from a welding device paired therewith. The signals then are transmitted to the operation control circuit PCB board, and the operation control circuit PCB board transmits the received signals over the wires to the optical waveguide assembly, and the optical waveguide assembly magnifiedly displays the corresponding welding parameter or alarm information. The optical waveguide assembly has good light transmission capacity and the normal viewing and protective function of the welding mask body is not affected. The welding mask can intuitively present the relevant parameters through the optical waveguide assembly while protecting the welder such that makes welding more convenient.
[0032] Described above is merely the preferred embodiments of the present invention, and it should be noted that modifications and improvements can be made by those skilled in the art without departing from the principles of the invention, which are also to be regarded as within the scope of the invention.
