[0049] In optical communication technology, to establish information transmission between information processing devices, it is necessary to load the information onto light and use the propagation of light to achieve information transmission. Here, the light loaded with information is an optical signal. When transmitting optical signals within information transmission equipment, they can reduce optical power loss, thereby enabling high-speed, long-distance, and low-cost information transmission. The signals that information processing equipment can recognize and process are electrical signals. Information processing equipment typically includes optical network units (ONUs), gateways, routers, switches, mobile phones, computers, servers, tablets, televisions, etc., and information transmission equipment typically includes optical fibers and optical waveguides.

[0050] Optical modules can convert optical signals into electrical signals between information processing devices and information transmission devices. For example, at least one of the optical signal input or output ends of an optical module is connected to an optical fiber, and at least one of the electrical signal input or output ends of the optical module is connected to an optical network terminal. A first optical signal from the optical fiber is transmitted to the optical module, which converts the first optical signal into a first electrical signal and transmits the first electrical signal to the optical network terminal. A second electrical signal from the optical network terminal is transmitted to the optical module, which converts the second electrical signal into a second optical signal and transmits the second optical signal to the optical fiber. Because multiple information processing devices can transmit information via electrical signals, at least one of the multiple information processing devices needs to be directly connected to the optical module, rather than all of them. Here, the information processing device directly connected to the optical module is referred to as the optical module's host computer. Furthermore, the optical signal input or output end of the optical module can be referred to as an optical port, and the electrical signal input or output end of the optical module can be referred to as an electrical port.

[0051] Figure 1 is a partial structural diagram of an optical communication system according to some embodiments. As shown in Figure 1 , the optical communication system mainly includes a remote information processing device 1000, a local information processing device 2000, a host computer 100, an optical module 200, an external optical fiber 101, and a network cable 103.

[0052] One end of the external optical fiber 101 extends toward the remote information processing device 1000, and the other end of the external optical fiber 101 is connected to the optical module 200 through the optical port of the optical module 200. The optical signal can be totally reflected in the external optical fiber 101, and the propagation of the optical signal in the direction of total reflection can almost maintain the original optical power. The optical signal undergoes multiple total reflections in the external optical fiber 101 to transmit the optical signal from the remote information processing device 1000 to the optical module 200, and vice versa, thereby achieving long-distance, low-power information transmission.

[0053] The optical communication system may include one or more external optical fibers 101, and the external optical fibers 101 may be detachably connected or fixedly connected to the optical module 200. The host computer 100 is configured to provide data signals to the optical module 200, receive data signals from the optical module 200, or monitor or control the operating status of the optical module 200.

[0054] The host computer 100 includes a substantially rectangular housing and an optical module interface 102 disposed on the housing. The optical module interface 102 is configured to connect to the optical module 200 to establish a unidirectional or bidirectional electrical signal connection between the host computer 100 and the optical module 200.

[0055] The host computer 100 also includes an external electrical interface that can access an electrical signal network. For example, the external electrical interface includes a Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface or a network cable interface 104. The network cable interface 104 is configured to access a network cable 103 so that the host computer 100 establishes a unidirectional or bidirectional electrical signal connection with the network cable 103. One end of the network cable 103 is connected to the local information processing device 2000, and the other end of the network cable 103 is connected to the host computer 100, so that an electrical signal connection is established between the local information processing device 2000 and the host computer 100 via the network cable 103. For example, a third electrical signal emitted by the local information processing device 2000 is transmitted to the host computer 100 via the network cable 103. The host computer 100 generates a second electrical signal based on the third electrical signal. The second electrical signal from the host computer 100 is transmitted to the optical module 200. The optical module 200 converts the second electrical signal into a second optical signal and transmits the second optical signal to the external optical fiber 101. The second optical signal is then transmitted to the remote information processing device 1000 via the external optical fiber 101. For example, a first optical signal from the remote information processing device 1000 is transmitted through the external optical fiber 101. The first optical signal from the external optical fiber 101 is transmitted to the optical module 200. The optical module 200 converts the first optical signal into a first electrical signal. The optical module 200 transmits the first electrical signal to the host computer 100. The host computer 100 generates a fourth electrical signal based on the first electrical signal and transmits the fourth electrical signal to the local information processing device 2000. It should be noted that optical modules are tools for converting optical signals into electrical signals. During this conversion process, the information does not change, but the encoding and decoding methods of the information can change.

[0056] In addition to the optical network terminal, the host computer 100 also includes an optical line terminal (OLT), an optical network device (ONT), or a data center server.

[0057] Figure 2 is a partial structural diagram of a host computer according to some embodiments. To clearly illustrate the connection between the optical module 200 and the host computer 100, Figure 2 only shows the structure of the host computer 100 related to the optical module 200. As shown in Figure 2, the host computer 100 also includes a PCB circuit board 105 disposed within the housing, a cage 106 disposed on the surface of the PCB circuit board 105, a heat sink 107 disposed on the cage 106, and an electrical connector disposed within the cage 106. The electrical connector is configured to connect to the electrical port of the optical module 200; the heat sink 107 has raised structures such as fins to increase the heat dissipation area.

[0058] The optical module 200 is inserted into the cage 106 of the host computer 100. The cage 106 secures the optical module 200. Heat generated by the optical module 200 is transferred to the cage 106 and then dissipated through the heat sink 107. After the optical module 200 is inserted into the cage 106, the electrical port of the optical module 200 connects to the electrical connector inside the cage 106, thereby establishing a bidirectional electrical signal connection between the optical module 200 and the host computer 100. Furthermore, the optical port of the optical module 200 connects to the external optical fiber 101, thereby establishing a bidirectional optical signal connection between the optical module 200 and the external optical fiber 101.

[0059] Figure 3 is a structural diagram of an optical module according to some embodiments, and Figure 4 is an exploded view of an optical module according to some embodiments. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the optical module 200 includes a housing, a circuit board 300 disposed within the housing, optical components, and a fiber optic adapter 700. The fiber optic adapter 700 can be connected to the optical components via a fiber optic ribbon.

[0060] The housing includes an upper housing 201 and a lower housing 202 . The upper housing 201 covers the lower housing 202 to form the housing having two openings 204 and 205 . The outer contour of the housing is generally a square.

[0061] In some embodiments, the lower shell 202 includes a base plate 2021 and two lower side plates 2022 located on both sides of the base plate 2021 and arranged perpendicular to the base plate 2021; the upper shell 201 includes an upper cover plate 2011, and the upper cover plate 2011 covers the two lower side plates 2022 of the lower shell 202 to form the above-mentioned shell.

[0062] In some embodiments, the lower shell 202 includes a base plate 2021 and two lower side plates 2022 located on both sides of the base plate 2021 and arranged perpendicularly to the base plate 2021; the upper shell 201 includes an upper cover plate 2011 and two upper side plates located on both sides of the upper cover plate 2011 and arranged perpendicularly to the upper cover plate 2011. The two upper side plates are combined with the two lower side plates 2022 to achieve the upper shell 201 covering the lower shell 202.

[0063] The direction of the line connecting the two openings 204 and 205 can be consistent with the length of the optical module 200, or it can be inconsistent with the length of the optical module 200. For example, opening 204 is located at the end of the optical module 200 (the right end in Figure 3), and opening 205 is also located at the end of the optical module 200 (the left end in Figure 3). Alternatively, opening 204 is located at the end of the optical module 200, while opening 205 is located on the side of the optical module 200. Opening 204 is an electrical port, from which the gold finger 301 of the circuit board 300 extends and is inserted into the electrical connector of the host computer 100; opening 205 is an optical port, configured to receive an external optical fiber 101, so that the external optical fiber 101 can connect to the optical components in the optical module 200.

[0064] The combined assembly of the upper and lower housings 201 and 202 facilitates the installation of the circuit board 300, optical components, and the optical fiber adapter 700 within the housing, with the upper and lower housings 201 and 202 providing encapsulation and protection for these components. Furthermore, when assembling the circuit board 300, optical components, and the optical fiber adapter 700, the combined assembly of the upper and lower housings 201 and 202 facilitates the placement of positioning components, heat dissipation components, and electromagnetic shielding components for these components, facilitating automated production.

[0065] In some embodiments, the upper shell 201 and the lower shell 202 are made of metal materials, which facilitates electromagnetic shielding and heat dissipation.

[0066] In some embodiments, the optical module 200 further includes an unlocking component 600 located outside its housing. The unlocking component 600 is configured to achieve a fixed connection between the optical module 200 and the host computer 100, or to release the fixed connection between the optical module 200 and the host computer 100.

[0067] For example, the unlocking component 600 is located on the outside of the two lower side panels 2022 of the lower housing 202 and includes a snap-fit component that mates with the cage 106 of the host computer 100. When the optical module 200 is inserted into the cage 106, the snap-fit component of the unlocking component 600 secures the optical module 200 in the cage 106. When the unlocking component 600 is pulled, the snap-fit component of the unlocking component 600 moves accordingly, thereby changing the connection between the snap-fit component and the host computer, thereby releasing the optical module 200 from the cage 106 and allowing the optical module 200 to be removed from the cage 106.

[0068] The circuit board 300 includes circuit traces, electronic components, and chips. The electronic components and chips are connected according to the circuit design through the circuit traces to achieve functions such as power supply, electrical signal transmission, and grounding. Electronic components may include, for example, capacitors, resistors, transistors, and metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs). Chips may include, for example, microcontroller units (MCUs), laser driver chips, transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs), limiting amplifiers (LAs), clock and data recovery chips (CDRs), power management chips, and digital signal processing (DSP) chips.

[0069] The circuit board 300 is generally a rigid circuit board. Due to its relatively hard material, the rigid circuit board can also realize the load-bearing function. For example, the rigid circuit board can stably carry the above-mentioned electronic components and chips; the rigid circuit board can also be inserted into the electrical connector in the cage 106 of the host computer 100.

[0070] The circuit board 300 also includes a gold finger 301 formed on its end surface, and the gold finger 301 is composed of a plurality of independent pins. The circuit board 300 is inserted into the cage 106, and the gold finger 301 is connected to the electrical connector in the cage 106. The gold finger 301 can be set only on the surface of one side of the circuit board 300 (for example, the upper surface shown in Figure 4), or it can be set on the upper and lower surfaces of the circuit board 300 to provide a larger number of pins, thereby adapting to occasions where a large number of pins are required. The gold finger 301 is configured to establish an electrical connection with the host computer to achieve power supply, grounding, two-wire synchronous serial (Inter-Integrated Circuit, I2C) signal transmission, data signal transmission, etc. Of course, flexible circuit boards are also used in some optical modules. Flexible circuit boards are generally used in conjunction with rigid circuit boards to supplement rigid circuit boards.

[0071] The optical component is directly disposed on the circuit board 300 , and is located on a side of the circuit board 300 away from the gold finger 301 .

[0072] In some embodiments, the optical component includes at least one of a light emitting component and a light receiving component, and at least one of the light emitting component and the light receiving component can be directly disposed on the circuit board 300. For example, at least one of the light emitting component and the light receiving component can be disposed on a surface of the circuit board 300 or on a side of the circuit board 300.

[0073] In some embodiments, the optical component is physically separated from the circuit board 300 and then electrically connected to the circuit board 300 through a corresponding flexible circuit board or electrical connector.

[0074] Figure 5 is a partial structural diagram of an optical module provided according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, and Figure 6 is a partial exploded diagram of an optical module provided according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figures 5 and 6, the optical component includes a first optical component 400 and a second optical component 500. The first optical component 400 and the second optical component 500 can have both transmitting and receiving functions to achieve two sets of light transmission and two sets of light reception. However, the present disclosure is not limited to this. In some embodiments, the first optical component 400 and the second optical component 500 have either a light transmission function or a light reception function.

[0075] In some embodiments, when the first optical component 400 and the second optical component 500 have both light transmitting and light receiving functions, the light beam emitted by the first optical component 400 is transmitted via the first optical fiber ribbon 410 and the optical fiber adapter 700 to the external optical fiber 101 to achieve the transmission of one set of light; the light beam emitted by the second optical component 500 is transmitted via the second optical fiber ribbon 510 and the optical fiber adapter 700 to the external optical fiber 101 to achieve the transmission of another set of light. The received light beam transmitted by the external optical fiber 101 is transmitted via the optical fiber adapter 700 and the first optical fiber ribbon 410 to the first optical component 400 to achieve the reception of one set of light; the received light beam transmitted by the external optical fiber 101 is transmitted via the optical fiber adapter 700 and the second optical fiber ribbon 510 to the second optical component 500 to achieve the reception of another set of light. In this way, two sets of light transmission and two sets of light reception are achieved for the optical module 200.

[0076] In some embodiments, a fiber optic plug is provided at one end of the external optical fiber 101 that is inserted into the fiber optic adapter 700. The fiber optic plug is inserted into the fiber optic adapter 600 when in use, so that the optical signal transmitted by the optical fiber ribbon is coupled to the external optical fiber through the fiber optic adapter 700, and the received optical signal transmitted by the external optical fiber is transmitted to the first optical component 400 and the second optical component 500 through the fiber optic adapter 700.

[0077] In some embodiments, the optical port of the optical module 200 can be inserted not only into the external optical fiber 101, but also into an active optical cable (AOC). As the main transmission medium for high-performance computing and data centers in the big data era, AOC has the advantages of high bandwidth, anti-electromagnetic interference, long transmission distance, low power consumption, small cable size and ease of use, and compatibility with dense wiring in computer rooms. When the optical port of the optical module 200 is inserted into the optical cable, the optical cable and the optical module 200 constitute an AOC optical module.

[0078] When the optical port of the optical module 200 is inserted into the external optical fiber 101 or the AOC optical cable, the optical module 200 corresponds to two optical port structures respectively. Therefore, the production of the optical module 200 requires the opening of two production lines, and the two production lines require two sets of molds respectively, resulting in high production costs of the optical modules and low switching efficiency of the two optical modules.

[0079] In order to facilitate the switching of the optical port of the optical module to insert the external optical fiber 101 and the AOC optical cable, the optical module provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure can realize the functions of the optical transceiver module and the AOC optical module. It is only necessary to generate the optical transceiver module TRX. When needed, the non-AOC optical module can be converted into an AOC optical module by fixing the optical cable plug through a set of anti-disassembly structures, thereby realizing mutual switching between the non-AOC optical module and the AOC optical module.

[0080] Figure 7 is an exploded view of an optical cable plug and an optical fiber adapter in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figure 7, the optical fiber adapter 700 includes a clamping claw 710 and an optical fiber plug 720. The clamping claw 710 has a through-hole formed therein. The optical fiber plug 720 is inserted into one end of the through-hole and connected to the first optical component 400 and the second optical component 500 via an optical fiber ribbon. The external optical fiber 101 is inserted into the other end of the through-hole and coupled to the optical fiber plug 720, thereby achieving a coupling connection between the optical fiber adapter 700 and the external optical fiber 101.

[0081] The external optical fiber 101 is separated from the optical fiber adapter 700, and the active optical cable 1100 is inserted into the other end of the light-through hole through the optical cable plug 900. The active optical cable 1100 is coupled and connected to the optical fiber plug 720 through the claw 710 to achieve the coupling connection between the active optical cable 1100 and the optical fiber adapter 700, thereby converting the non-AOC optical module into an AOC optical module.

[0082] Figure 8 is a structural diagram of an optical cable plug in an optical module provided according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, Figure 9 is a structural diagram of a clamping claw in an optical module provided according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, and Figure 10 is a structural diagram of a clamping claw in an optical module provided according to some embodiments of the present disclosure from another perspective. As shown in Figures 8, 9, and 10, the optical cable plug 900 includes a base and an annular sleeve 905. The base includes a plug-in portion 901 and a connecting portion 906. The two ends of the connecting portion 906 are fixedly connected to the plug-in portion 901 and the active optical cable 1100 respectively. The plug-in portion 901 can be inserted into the optical port of the optical module to convert the optical module into an AOC optical module.

[0083] The annular sleeve 905 is sleeved on the connecting portion 906 and can slide left and right on the connecting portion 906. When the plug-in portion 901 is inserted to the right into the optical fiber adapter 700, the annular sleeve 905 is located on the left side of the connecting portion 906 to enable the plug-in portion 901 to be engaged with the optical fiber adapter 700. Then, the annular sleeve 905 is moved to the right to lock the optical cable plug 900 and the optical fiber adapter 700 through the annular sleeve 905 to prevent the optical cable plug 900 from detaching.

[0084] In some embodiments, when the operator unplugs the optical cable 1100 , the operator presses the annular sleeve 905 to move leftward, and then unplugs the plug 901 from the optical fiber adapter 700 to separate the optical cable plug 900 from the optical fiber adapter 700 .

[0085] In some embodiments, a sliding arrow may be provided on the top surface of the annular sleeve 905, and the operator can identify the forward direction of the optical cable plug 900 according to the sliding arrow. When the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the optical fiber adapter 700 in the forward direction, the sliding arrow on the annular sleeve 905 faces the upper shell 201, thereby preventing the optical cable plug 900 from being inserted into the optical fiber adapter 700 in the reverse direction, thereby ensuring the optical coupling effect between the optical cable plug 900 and the optical fiber adapter 700.

[0086] In some embodiments, a protrusion 902 is formed on the top surface of the plug-in portion 901, and the protrusion 902 extends from the right side of the plug-in portion 901 to the right side of the connecting portion 906. The protrusion 902 is arranged in the left and right directions, and there is a gap between the two opposite side surfaces of the protrusion 902 and the two opposite side surfaces of the plug-in portion 901, that is, the protrusion 902 is not located on the side edge of the plug-in portion 901, so as to ensure the installation stability of the optical fiber plug 900.

[0087] A first card slot 904 is formed on the side surfaces opposite to the plug-in portion 901 (the two side surfaces connected to the top surface). The first card slot 904 extends from the right side surface of the plug-in portion 901 to the right side surface of the connecting portion 906. The first card slot 904 is recessed in the side surface of the plug-in portion 901, and an opening is provided on the right side of the first card slot 904 to facilitate the insertion of the buckle of the optical fiber adapter 700 into the first card slot 904, thereby realizing the coupling connection between the optical cable plug 900 and the optical fiber adapter 700.

[0088] In some embodiments, a second slot 908 is provided on the side opposite the connecting portion 906. The second slot 908 is located on the right side of the connecting portion 906 and can communicate with the first slot 904. When the annular sleeve 905 is located on the left side of the connecting portion 906, the second slot 908 is exposed. When the annular sleeve 905 slides to the right, the second slot 908 is located within the annular sleeve 905. When the plug-in portion 901 is inserted into the fiber optic adapter 700, the annular sleeve 905 is slid to the left. The fastener of the fiber optic adapter 700 can be inserted into the second slot 908 via the first slot 904. The annular sleeve 905 is then slid to the right so that the annular sleeve 905 clamps the fastener of the fiber optic adapter 700, thereby achieving a locked fixation between the optical cable plug 900 and the fiber optic adapter 700.

[0089] In some embodiments, the second card slot 908 and the first card slot 904 may also be disconnected. When the plug-in portion 901 is inserted into the optical fiber adapter 700, the annular sleeve 905 is slid to the left, and the left end of the buckle of the optical fiber adapter 700 is snapped into the second card slot 908, and the middle part of the buckle is snapped into the first card slot 904, so as to clamp the optical cable plug 900 and the optical fiber adapter 700 through the buckle.

[0090] 9 , a through-hole 7103 is formed in the claw 710. Two opposite sides of the claw 710 are formed with a slot, one end of which is open. A first buckle 7101 is disposed within the slot. One end of the first buckle 7101 is fixedly connected to the claw 710. This allows the first buckle 7101 to rotate within the slot to a predetermined angle, allowing it to be supported outward or clamped inward. For example, the first buckle 7101 may be an elastic buckle or a non-elastic buckle, which is not limited in this disclosure.

[0091] A guide groove 7102 is formed on the inner side wall of the top surface of the claw 710, and the guide groove 7102 extends from the left side of the claw 710 to the right side. The guide groove 7102 is configured to guide the optical cable plug 900 to be inserted into the light-through hole 7103, that is, when the plug-in portion 901 is inserted into the light-through hole 7103 of the claw 710, the protrusion 902 on the plug-in portion 901 is inserted into the claw 710 along the guide groove 7102, and the optical cable plug 900 is fixed by the first buckle 7101 on the claw 710, so as to realize the fixed connection between the optical cable plug 900 and the claw 710.

[0092] In some embodiments, when the plug-in portion 901 is inserted into the light-through hole 7103, the first buckle 7101 is inserted into the first slot 904 and the second slot 908, and the optical cable plug 900 inserted into the claw 710 is fixedly connected by the first buckle 7101. Then, the annular sleeve 905 is slid to the right, and the first buckle 7101 is clamped by the annular sleeve 905 to fix the optical cable plug 900 and the claw 710 through the first buckle 7101.

[0093] When removing the optical cable plug 900 from the optical fiber adapter 700 , the operator slides the annular sleeve 905 to the left, and then moves the first buckle 7101 outward to move the optical cable plug 900 to the left to separate the optical cable plug 900 from the optical fiber adapter 700 .

[0094] In some embodiments, since the claw 710 is an elastic member, if the operator makes an operating error and inserts the optical cable plug 900 into the claw 710 in the reverse direction (rotated 360 degrees), the optical cable plug 900 may also open the claw 710 and successfully insert into the claw 710. This will cause the optical cable plug 900 and the optical fiber plug 720 in the claw 710 to be unable to couple and connect, affecting the optical coupling effect.

[0095] To prevent the optical cable plug 900 from being inserted into the claw 710 in reverse, a guide groove may be formed on the bottom surface of the plug-in portion 901, and a guide post may be formed on the inner side wall of the bottom surface of the claw 710. When the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the claw 710 in the forward direction, the protrusion 902 on the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the guide groove 7102 in the claw 710, and the guide post in the claw 710 is inserted into the guide groove on the optical cable plug 900. When the optical cable plug 900 is reversed (such as flipped 360 degrees), the protrusion 902 on the optical cable plug 900 collides with the guide post in the claw 710, and the guide post blocks the optical cable plug 900 from continuing to move to the right, thereby preventing the optical cable plug 900 from being inserted into the plug 710, thereby warning the operator that the optical cable plug 900 has been inserted in the reverse direction and reminding the operator to insert the optical cable plug 900 correctly.

[0096] In some embodiments, a limiting surface is formed in the light-through hole 7103 of the claw 710, and the diameter of the light-through hole passing through the limiting surface is smaller than the diameter of the light-through hole on the left side of the claw 710. In this way, when the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the light-through hole 7103 of the claw 710, the plug end face of the plug-in part 901 abuts against the limiting surface to limit and fix the optical cable plug 900.

[0097] In some embodiments, a socket 903 is formed on the right side of the plug-in portion 901. The socket 903 extends from the right side of the plug-in portion 901 to the left side. When the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the optical fiber adapter 700, the pin in the optical fiber adapter 700 is inserted into the socket 903 to position the optical cable plug 900 and the optical fiber adapter 700.

[0098] 7 , in order to facilitate the insertion of the optical fiber plug 720 into the claw 710 and the coupling connection of the optical cable plug 900 and the optical fiber plug 720, the optical fiber adapter 700 further includes a fixing member 730 and a pin 740. One end of the fixing member 730 contacts the end face of the optical fiber plug 720, and the other end of the fixing member 730 is engaged and fixed with the claw 710. In this way, the optical fiber plug 720 is fixed in the claw 710 through the fixing member 730.

[0099] As shown in FIG10 , a second buckle 7105 is formed on the end of the claw 710 facing away from the optical cable plug 900. One end of the second buckle 7105 is fixedly connected to the claw 710. Two second buckles 7105 are formed on the claw 710, and the two second buckles 7105 are respectively fixedly connected to the top and bottom surfaces of the claw 710. That is, the two second buckles 7105 are arranged in the vertical direction. For example, the second buckle 7105 can be an elastic buckle or other buckle, which is not limited in this disclosure.

[0100] The second clip 7105 can rotate within a preset angle range, so that the second clip 7105 can be clamped inward to fix the optical fiber plug 720, and can also be bent outward to remove the optical fiber plug 720.

[0101] In some embodiments, a first side surface 7104 is provided at the end of the clamping claw 710 facing away from the optical cable plug 900, and a light-through hole 7103 passes through the first side surface 7104, so that the optical fiber plug 720 can be inserted into the clamping claw 710 through the light-through hole 7103, and the optical fiber plug 720 is limited by the first side surface 7104.

[0102] In some embodiments, the optical fiber plug 720 includes a core and a fixing portion, and the outer wall of the fixing portion protrudes from the outer wall of the core, that is, the width dimension of the fixing portion in the up and down directions is greater than the width dimension of the core in the up and down directions, and the length dimension of the fixing portion in the front and back directions is greater than the length dimension of the core in the front and back directions.

[0103] When the optical fiber plug 720 is inserted into the light-through hole 7103 of the claw 710, the core extends into the light-through hole 7103, and the second side surface connected to the fixing part and the first side surface 7104 of the core abut against each other, so as to limit the optical fiber plug 720 through the first side surface 7104 so that the fixing part is located outside the light-through hole 7103.

[0104] In some embodiments, the second buckle 7105 of the claw 710 protrudes from the first side 7104, and the core of the optical fiber plug 720 is inserted into the light hole 7103 of the claw 710, and the fixing part of the optical fiber plug 720 is located in the gap between the second buckle 7105 and the first side 7104.

[0105] The fixing portion of the optical fiber plug 720 also includes a third side surface facing away from the ferrule, which contacts one end surface of the fixing member 730. When the ferrule of the optical fiber plug 720 is inserted into the light-through hole 7103 of the claw 710, the second side surface of the optical fiber plug 720 is brought into contact with the first side surface 7104 of the claw 710. The fixing member 730 is then placed against the third side surface of the optical fiber plug 720. The second buckle 7105 then presses against the end surface of the fixing member 730 to apply force to the fixing member 730 and the optical fiber plug 720, thereby securing the optical fiber plug 720 and the fixing member 730 within the claw 710.

[0106] In some embodiments, a fiber optic jack is formed on the third side of the fiber optic plug 720, and multiple fiber optic holes are formed on the side where the ferrule is inserted into the light-through hole 7103. The multiple fiber optic holes are connected to the fiber optic jack, so that the fiber optic ribbon is inserted into the fiber optic plug 720 through the fiber optic jack, and each optical fiber in the fiber optic ribbon is placed in a fiber optic hole.

[0107] When the optical fiber is placed in the optical fiber hole, the light-emitting surface of the optical fiber is located outside the optical fiber plug 720. In this way, when the optical fiber plug 720 and the optical cable plug 900 are connected in the claw 710, the optical signal transmitted by the optical fiber is directly coupled to the optical cable plug 900.

[0108] In some embodiments, the optical fiber plug 720 may be an MT male connector, and the optical cable plug 900 may be a corresponding MT female connector. After the pin 740 is fixed to the optical fiber plug 720, the pin 740 protrudes from the optical fiber plug 720 toward one end of the optical cable plug 900. In this way, when the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the claw 710, the protruding pin 740 is inserted into the hole 903 on the end face of the optical cable plug 900, so as to realize the positioning connection between the optical fiber plug 720 and the optical cable plug 900 through the pin 740.

[0109] FIG11 is an assembly diagram of an optical cable plug and an optical fiber adapter in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, and FIG12 is a cross-sectional view of the assembly of an optical cable plug and an optical fiber adapter in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG11 and FIG12, when assembling the optical fiber adapter 700 and the optical cable plug 900, the side surface of the fixing member 730 is first placed against the third side surface of the optical fiber plug 720, and then the pin 740 is inserted through the through hole of the fixing member 730 into the pin hole of the optical fiber plug 720. The pin 740 is fixedly connected to the optical fiber plug 720 through the fixing member 730. The assembled optical fiber plug 720, fixing member 730, and pin 740 are then inserted into the light hole 7103 of the claw 710, so that the second side surface of the optical fiber plug 720 abuts the first side surface 7104 of the claw 710, and the second buckle 7105 abuts the fixing member 730, thereby fixing the optical fiber plug 720 and the fixing member 730 in the claw 710.

[0110] Then, the plug-in portion 901 of the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the other end of the claw 710, and the left end of the pin 740 is inserted into the socket 903 of the optical cable plug 900 until the right side of the plug-in portion 901 abuts against the limit surface in the light-through hole 7103. Then, the first buckle 7101 is snapped into the first slot 904 and the second slot 908. The optical cable plug 900 inserted into the claw 710 is clamped by the first buckle 7101. Then, the annular sleeve 905 is slid to the right to clamp the first buckle 7101. In this way, the optical cable plug 900 is fixed in the claw 710, and the coupling connection between the optical cable plug 900 and the optical fiber adapter 700 is achieved.

[0111] In some embodiments, when locking the plug-in portion 901 and the claw 710 by sliding the annular sleeve 905, the operator may accidentally touch the annular sleeve 905, causing the annular sleeve 905 to slide to the left, so that the optical cable plug 900 and the claw 710 are easily separated, resulting in abnormal detachment of the optical cable plug 900.

[0112] Figure 13 is an exploded view of an optical cable plug and a protective cover in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, and Figure 14 is a structural diagram of a first protective cover in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figures 13 and 14, to prevent the optical cable plug 900 from being abnormally detached, the optical cable plug 900 further includes a protective cover, which includes a first protective cover 910 and a second protective cover 920. The first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 form a pair of protective covers that snap together, with the first protective cover 910 snapped onto the upper side of the optical cable plug 900 and the second protective cover 920 snapped onto the lower side of the optical cable plug 900. The first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 are snap-connected to cover the annular sleeve 905 of the optical cable plug 900, so as to prevent the optical cable plug 900 from being abnormally detached due to accidental contact with the annular sleeve 905.

[0113] In some embodiments, the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 can be designed as upper and lower cover designs, and the design can be distinguished by using design LOGO, font, obvious mark, or asymmetric shape, that is, the structure of the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 is different; the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 can also be designed as indistinguishable designs, and the structure of the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 is exactly the same, and they are designed as the same parts. In this way, the parts are simple, only one set of molds is needed, and the assembly is simple, there is no need to distinguish between the upper and lower covers, the assembly is more user-friendly, and the parts cost and assembly cost are low.

[0114] 14 , in some embodiments, the structures of the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 may be exactly the same. The first protective cover 910 includes a cover plate, a first side plate 913 and a second side plate 917. Both sides of the cover plate are respectively connected to the first side plate 913 and the second side plate 917. The first side plate 913 and the second side plate 917 are arranged opposite to each other. In this way, the cover plate, the first side plate 913 and the second side plate 917 form a U-shaped structure.

[0115] The cover plate includes a first cover plate 911 and a second cover plate 912. The width of the first cover plate 911 is smaller than the width of the second cover plate 912, so that the width of the left side of the first protective cover 910 is smaller than the width of the right side of the first protective cover 910. The first protective cover 910 is designed in a frustum shape.

[0116] In some embodiments, the second cover plate 912 is buckled onto the annular sliding sleeve 905 of the optical cable plug 900 , and the first cover plate 911 is buckled onto the tail sleeve on the left side of the optical cable plug 900 , so as to buckle the first protective cover 910 onto the upper side of the optical cable plug 900 .

[0117] A positioning column 915 and a positioning hole 916 may be formed on the first side plate 913 , and the positioning column 915 and the positioning hole 916 are arranged on the first side plate 913 along the left-right direction. For example, the positioning column 915 is located on the right side of the first side plate 913 , and the positioning hole 916 is located on the left side of the first side plate 913 .

[0118] The second side panel 917 may also be formed with a positioning post and a positioning hole, and the positioning post and the positioning hole are arranged on the second side panel 917 along the left-right direction. For example, the positioning post is located on the left side of the second side panel 917, and the positioning hole is located on the right side of the second side panel 917. The positioning hole 916 on the first side panel 913 is arranged opposite to the positioning post on the second side panel 917, and the positioning post 915 on the first side panel 913 is arranged opposite to the positioning hole on the second side panel 917, so that the positioning post on the first protective cover 910 is arranged diagonally and the positioning hole is arranged diagonally.

[0119] Figure 15 is a second structural diagram of a first protective cover in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figure 15 , when the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 have the same structure, a plurality of positioning holes 916 may be formed on the first side plate 913, and a plurality of positioning posts 915 may be formed on the second side plate 917. The positioning posts are arranged opposite the positioning holes, so that the positioning posts on the first protective cover 910 are arranged on a single side with positioning holes on a single side.

[0120] When the first protective cover 910 is snap-connected with the second protective cover 920, the positioning post on the first protective cover 910 is inserted into the positioning hole on the second protective cover 920, and the positioning post on the second protective cover 920 is inserted into the positioning hole on the first protective cover 910, so as to shield the protective annular sleeve 905 through the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920.

[0121] Figure 16 is a third structural diagram of a first protective cover in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, and Figure 17 is a fourth structural diagram of a first protective cover in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figures 16 and 17, the structures of the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 may also be different. For example, the first protective cover 910 is a top cover design, and the second protective cover 920 is a bracket design. The first side panel 913 and the second side panel 917 of the first protective cover 910 may both be provided with positioning hole structures, and the side panels of the second protective cover 920 may both be provided with positioning column structures.

[0122] After the plug-in portion 901 of the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the claw 710, the first protective cover 910 is first buckled onto the upper side of the annular sleeve 905, and the second protective cover 920 is buckled onto the lower side of the annular sleeve 905. The positioning post on the second protective cover 920 is inserted into the positioning hole on the first protective cover 910 to achieve a snap connection between the optical cable plug 900, the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920.

[0123] 17 , in some embodiments, when the structures of the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 are different, the first side plate 913 and the second side plate 917 of the first protective cover 910 may also be provided with positioning column structures, and the side plates of the second protective cover 920 may also be provided with positioning hole structures. After the plug-in portion 901 of the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the claw 710, the first protective cover 910 is first buckled on the upper side of the annular sleeve 905, and the second protective cover 920 is buckled on the lower side of the annular sleeve 905. The positioning columns on the first protective cover 910 are inserted into the positioning holes on the second protective cover 920 to achieve a snap-on connection among the optical cable plug 900, the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920.

[0124] Figure 18 is a structural diagram of a locking boss in an optical module provided according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figures 14 and 18, after the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 are buckled onto the optical cable plug 900, to improve the plugging stability between the optical cable plug 900 and the claw 710, a locking boss can be formed in the first protective cover 910 or the second protective cover 920, or in the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920. The locking boss clamps the annular sliding sleeve 905, thereby achieving the anti-disassembly function of the optical cable plug 900.

[0125] In some embodiments, a locking boss 914 is formed on the inner side of the second cover plate 912, the locking boss 914 is located between the first side plate 913 and the second side plate 917, and the locking boss 914 is arranged along the width direction of the second cover plate 912; a limiting groove 907 is formed on the connecting portion 906 of the optical cable plug 900, and the limiting groove 907 is close to the left side of the connecting portion 906. When the annular sleeve 905 is located on the left side of the connecting portion 906, the annular sleeve 905 blocks the limiting groove 907.

[0126] After the plug-in portion 901 of the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the claw 710, the annular sleeve 905 is moved to the right to lock the optical cable plug 900 and the claw 710. Then, the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 are buckled on the optical cable plug 900 so that the locking boss 914 is embedded in the limiting groove 907. The locking boss 914 can prevent the annular sleeve 905 from sliding left and right on the connecting portion 906, thereby realizing the anti-disassembly function of the optical cable plug 900.

[0127] In some embodiments, two locking bosses 914, namely a first locking boss and a second locking boss, may be formed on the inner side of the second cover plate 912. One locking boss 914, such as the first locking boss, extends from the inner side of the first side plate 913 toward the second side plate 917, and the other locking boss 914, such as the second locking boss, extends from the inner side of the second side plate 917 toward the first side plate 913. A gap is formed between the two locking bosses 914.

[0128] Two limiting grooves 907 may be formed on the connecting portion 906 , and one limiting groove 907 is correspondingly provided with a locking boss 914 . The two locking bosses 914 are respectively embedded in the limiting grooves 907 on the optical cable plug 900 to lock and limit the annular sleeve 905 through the locking bosses 914 .

[0129] A limiting groove 907 can also be formed on the connecting portion 906, and the limiting groove 907 is arranged around the side of the connecting portion 906, that is, the limiting groove 907 is a limiting groove. In this way, the two locking bosses 914 are embedded in a limiting groove, and the annular sleeve 905 is locked and limited by the locking boss 914.

[0130] Referring to Figure 18, in some embodiments, the locking boss 914 may include a first plate 9141, a second plate 9143 and a connecting plate 9142, the two ends of the connecting plate 9142 are respectively connected to the first plate 9141 and the second plate 9143, and the first plate 9141 and the second plate 9143 are arranged opposite to each other. In this way, the first side plate 913, the first plate 9141, the connecting plate 9142 and the second plate 9143 form a U-shape.

[0131] In some embodiments, when the locking boss 914 is a U-shaped rib, for example, the first locking boss and the second locking boss are U-shaped ribs, and the locking boss 914 supports the first side panel 913 and the second side panel 917, so that the outer surface of the second cover plate 912 is not easy to shrink, and the appearance is smooth and beautiful. In addition, the U-shaped rib is strong, which can effectively realize the anti-dismantling function of the optical cable plug 900.

[0132] Figure 19 is a fifth structural diagram of a first protective cover in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figure 19, the locking boss 914 on the second cover plate 912 can also be two ribs. Specifically, an opening is provided at one end of the U-shaped rib to form two parallel ribs. The two ribs are embedded in the limiting groove 907, and one rib abuts the annular sleeve 905, thereby locking and limiting the annular sleeve 905 through the two ribs.

[0133] In some embodiments, two locking bosses 914 are formed on the inner side of the second cover plate 912. Each locking boss includes two ribs arranged on either side. Specifically, the first locking boss includes two ribs, and the second locking boss includes two ribs. A gap is provided between the two ribs. The two ribs provided on the inner side of the second cover plate 912 support the first side panel 913 and the second side panel 917, making the outer surface of the second cover plate 912 less susceptible to shrinkage and maintaining a smooth and attractive appearance.

[0134] FIG20 is a sixth structural diagram of a first protective cover in an optical module provided according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG20 , the locking boss 914 on the second cover plate 912 can also be a boss. Two bosses are formed on the inner side of the second cover plate 912, one boss extending from the first side plate 913 toward the second side plate 917, and the other boss extending from the second side plate 917 toward the first side plate 913, with a certain gap between the two bosses. In this way, when the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 are buckled onto the annular sleeve 905, the boss is embedded in the limiting groove 907, and one side of the boss abuts against the annular sleeve 905, thereby locking and limiting the annular sleeve 905 through the boss.

[0135] When a boss with a certain wall thickness is provided in the second cover plate 912 , the outer side surface of the second cover plate 912 may be easily shrunk due to the thick wall thickness of the boss, resulting in poor appearance.

[0136] Figure 21 is a seventh structural diagram of a first protective cover in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figure 21, the locking boss 914 on the second cover plate 912 can also be designed with two ribs, each extending from the inner side of the first side plate 913 to the inner side of the second side plate 917. The two ribs are arranged in a left-right direction, with a gap between the two ribs. In this way, when the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 are buckled onto the annular sleeve 905, the two ribs engage with the retaining groove 907, locking the annular sleeve 905 in place via the two ribs.

[0137] When two ribs are provided in the second cover plate 912 that run across the first side plate 913 and the second side plate 917 , a limiting groove 907 needs to be formed on the connecting portion 906 that runs across the width direction of the connecting portion 906 . However, the structure of this limiting groove 907 is not applicable to all optical cable plugs 900 , so that the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 of this structure cannot be adapted to all AOC optical cables on the market.

[0138] Figure 22 is a structural diagram eight of a first protective cover in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figure 22, the locking boss 914 on the second cover plate 912 can also be designed as a rib with a certain wall thickness, extending from the inner side of the first side plate 913 to the inner side of the second side plate 917, and the retaining groove 907 on the connecting portion 906 is a retaining groove. In this way, when the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 are buckled onto the annular sleeve 905, the wider rib is embedded in the retaining groove, locking the annular sleeve 905 with the wider rib.

[0139] When a rib is provided in the second cover plate 912 that runs across the first side plate 913 and the second side plate 917, the outer surface of the second cover plate 912 may be easily shrunk due to the thick wall of the rib, resulting in a poor appearance and incompatibility with all AOC optical cables on the market.

[0140] FIG23 is a cross-sectional view of the assembly of an optical cable plug and a protective sleeve in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG23 , the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the optical fiber adapter 700. The optical cable plug 900 is locked and connected to the claw 710 in the optical fiber adapter 900 via the annular sleeve 905. Then, the first protective sleeve 910 and the second protective sleeve 920 are buckled onto the optical cable plug 900. The locking bosses 914 on the first and second protective sleeves 910 and 920 are engaged with the limiting grooves 907 on the optical cable plug 900. The first and second protective sleeves 910 and 920 are snap-fitted together. The locking bosses 914 prevent the annular sleeve 905 on the optical cable plug 900 from sliding on the connecting portion 906 of the optical cable plug 900. The first and second protective sleeves 910 and 920 shield the annular sleeve 905, preventing the operator from accessing the annular sleeve 905 and preventing abnormal disassembly of the optical cable plug 900.

[0141] When the operator separates the optical cable plug 900 from the optical fiber adapter 700, he first separates the first protective cover 910, the second protective cover 920 and the optical cable plug 900, and then pushes the annular sliding sleeve 905 to the left to facilitate the first buckle 710 to disengage the first card slots 904 and the second card slots 908 on both sides of the optical cable plug 900 from the first buckle 7101 on the claw 710, so as to achieve the separation of the optical cable plug 900 from the optical fiber adapter 700, thereby converting the AOC optical module into a non-AOC optical module.

[0142] In some embodiments, when the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the clamping claw 710, the partial annular sleeve 905 on the optical cable plug 900 can be inserted into the optical port formed by the upper shell 201 and the lower shell 202 to insert the optical cable plug 900 to the bottom, thereby ensuring the stable installation of the optical cable plug 900 and the optical fiber adapter 700.

[0143] Figure 24 is a partial structural diagram of an upper housing in an optical module provided according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. Figure 25 is a partial assembly diagram of an optical cable plug, an upper housing, and an optical fiber adapter in an optical module provided according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. Figure 26 is a cross-sectional view of the assembly of an optical cable plug, an upper housing, and an optical fiber adapter in an optical module provided according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figures 24, 25, and 26, an arc-shaped plate 2013 is formed on the upper side plate 2012 of the upper housing 201, and the arc-shaped plate 2013 extends from the left side of the upper housing 201 to the right side of the upper housing 201. An arc-shaped plate is also formed on the lower side plate 2022 of the lower housing 202, and the arc-shaped plate extends from the left side of the lower housing 202 to the right side of the lower housing 202. When the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the optical fiber adapter 700, the arc plate 2013 contacts the outer arc surface of the annular sleeve 905, so that the annular sleeve 905 of the optical cable plug 900 can be inserted into the optical port of the optical module, so that the optical cable plug 900 is inserted to the bottom, thereby achieving the coupling connection between the optical cable plug 900 and the optical fiber plug 720.

[0144] In some embodiments, a baffle 2014 is formed in the upper cover 2011 of the upper shell 201, and the baffle 2014 is arranged in the left and right directions. There is a gap between the left side of the baffle 2014 and the left side of the upper shell 201. When the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the optical fiber adapter 700, the bottom surface of the annular sleeve 905 of the optical cable plug 900 abuts against the baffle 2014, so that the optical cable plug 900 is limited by the baffle 2014 to ensure that the optical cable plug 900 and the optical fiber plug 720 are connected in the claw 710.

[0145] In some embodiments, the upper housing 201 may be formed with a limiting groove extending from the left side of the upper housing 201 toward the right, and the limiting groove is an arc-shaped groove. A convex shell is formed on the right side of the first protective cover 910 or the second protective cover, and the convex shell protrudes from the right side of the protective cover. When the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 are buckled onto the optical cable plug 900, the convex shell on the protective cover engages with the limiting groove of the upper housing 201, thereby limiting the position of the protective cover through the limiting groove on the housing.

[0146] Figure 27 is a partial cross-sectional view of an optical module provided according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figure 27, the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the claw 710, and a portion of the annular sleeve 905 is inserted into the optical port formed by the upper shell 201 and the lower shell 202. The outer arc surface of the annular sleeve 905 contacts the arc plate 2013 on the upper shell 201 and the arc plate on the lower shell 202. The baffle 2014 on the upper shell 201 limits the annular sleeve 905, so that the right side surfaces of the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 covering the optical cable plug 900 abut against the left side surfaces of the upper shell 201 and the lower shell 202, thereby installing the optical cable plug 900 in place and converting the non-AOC optical module into an AOC optical module.

[0147] In some embodiments, a non-AOC optical module is converted into an AOC optical module by plugging the optical cable plug 900 into the optical fiber adapter 700. For optical module manufacturers, they only need to schedule the production of non-AOC optical modules. When they need to produce AOC optical modules, they only need to add relevant cable components. The production conversion is very convenient, which effectively improves the production efficiency of optical modules. Since there is no need to open a new AOC mold, the cost of each set of molds can be reduced by tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands, effectively reducing production costs, while effectively reducing cost inventory and improving turnover efficiency.

[0148] For clients, the use of non-AOC to AOC optical modules reduces their procurement costs and installation fees. It is similar to the separation of a charging head and a charging cable. The non-AOC optical module is equivalent to a charging head. Customers can randomly switch between optical fiber cables of different lengths, such as 1m, 2m, 3m, 5m, and 10m, for different usage scenarios. The switching is very convenient and easy to use.

[0149] In some embodiments, since an unlocking component 600 is provided on the outside of the housing of the optical module 200, the unlocking component 600 of a conventional optical module is a sheet metal-encapsulated rubber-coated integrated structure and cannot rotate. Therefore, when the optical cable plug 900 is inserted into the optical fiber adapter 700 and the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 are wrapped around the optical cable plug 900, the first protective cover 910 is buckled onto the optical cable plug 900 from top to bottom, and the second protective cover 920 is buckled onto the optical cable plug 900 from bottom to top. At this time, the unlocking component 600 will hinder the installation of the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920. To this end, the optical module provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure is designed with a rotatable structure in the unlocking component 600. When the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 are buckled onto the optical cable plug 900, the handle of the unlocking component 600 is rotated to prevent the handle from interfering with the installation of the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920, thereby realizing the AOC optical module's function of preventing accidental removal of the optical cable.

[0150] FIG28 is a structural diagram of an unlocking component in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, FIG29 is an exploded view of an unlocking component in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, and FIG30 is a rotational assembly diagram of an unlocking component in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG28, FIG29 and FIG30, the unlocking component 600 includes a handle 610 and an unlocker. The unlocker includes a cross arm 620, a first unlocking arm 630 and a second unlocking arm 640. The cross arm 620 is connected to the first unlocking arm 630 and the second unlocking arm 640 on both sides, respectively. The first unlocking arm 630 and the second unlocking arm 640 are arranged opposite each other, and the cross arm 620 is located on the outer surface of the upper cover 2011. The first unlocking arm 630 and the second unlocking arm 640 are respectively engaged with the upper side plates 2012 on both sides of the upper housing 201, so that the optical module and the cage 106 of the host computer 100 can be unlocked by the unlocking component 600.

[0151] In some embodiments, to achieve the rotatability of the unlocking component 600, a rotating shaft may be provided on the handle 610 or on the unlocker. For example, when a rotating shaft is provided on the handle 610, a clearance groove 6101 is formed at one end of the handle 610 facing the unlocker. The width of the clearance groove 6101 is smaller than the width of the handle 610. A rotating shaft 6102 may be provided within the clearance groove 6101. The two ends of the rotating shaft 6102 are respectively connected to the opposite side walls of the clearance groove 6101 to fix the rotating shaft 6102 within the clearance groove 6101, and a gap is formed between the left side surface of the rotating shaft 6102 and the left side wall of the clearance groove 6101.

[0152] A shaft sleeve 6201 is formed on the cross arm 620, and the shaft sleeve 6201 can pass through the avoidance groove 6101 and be sleeved on the rotating shaft 6102. The rotating shaft 6102 can rotate around the shaft sleeve 6201, and the rotating shaft 6102 drives the handle 610 to rotate around the shaft sleeve 6201, so that the handle 610 rotates clockwise to the top of the upper shell 201, so as to facilitate the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 to be buckled on the optical cable plug 900.

[0153] In some embodiments, two rotating shafts 6102 may also be provided in the avoidance groove 6101, one rotating shaft 6102 extends from one side wall of the avoidance groove 6101 along the width dimension of the handle 610, and the other rotating shaft 6102 extends from the other side wall of the avoidance groove 6101 along the width dimension of the handle 610, and there is a gap between the two rotating shafts 6102 on the width dimension of the handle 610.

[0154] For example, when a rotating shaft is provided on the receiver, the rotating shaft is provided at the end of the cross arm 620 , and the handle 610 is provided with a rotating groove adapted to the rotating shaft, so that the rotating shaft on the cross arm 620 rotates along the rotating groove.

[0155] The sleeve 6201 is embedded in the avoidance groove 6101 , a rotating shaft 6102 on the avoidance groove 6101 is inserted into one end of the sleeve 6201 , and another rotating shaft 6102 of the avoidance groove 6101 is inserted into the other end of the sleeve 6201 to realize the rotational connection between the handle 610 and the cross arm 620 .

[0156] 30 , in some embodiments, when an operator converts a non-AOC optical module to an AOC optical module, the operator grasps the handle 610 and rotates it clockwise, moving the handle 610 above the upper housing 201. The rotated handle 610 is perpendicular to the upper housing 201 to expose the optical port of the optical module. The operator then inserts the optical cable plug 900 into the optical fiber adapter 700. The first protective cover 910 is buckled onto the optical cable plug 900 from top to bottom, and the second protective cover 920 is buckled onto the optical cable plug 900 from bottom to top, with the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 shielding the annular sliding sleeve 905. In some embodiments, the handle 610 can be rotated clockwise between 0° and 180°.

[0157] After the operator converts the non-AOC optical module into an AOC optical module, the operator grasps the handle 610 and rotates it counterclockwise to reset the handle 610 .

[0158] When the operator converts the AOC optical module into a non-AOC optical module, the operator grasps the handle 610 and rotates it clockwise, bends the handle 610 to the top of the upper shell 201 to expose the optical port of the optical module, then disassembles the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920, pulls out the optical cable plug 900 from the optical fiber adapter 700, and then inserts the external optical fiber 101 into the optical fiber adapter 700, and finally rotates the handle 610 counterclockwise to reset the handle 610, thereby realizing the conversion between the AOC optical module and the non-AOC optical module.

[0159] The optical module provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure is designed with an unlocking component 600 as a rotatable structure. The handle 610 in the unlocking component 600 can be rotated around the unlocking device to expose the optical port of the optical module. When switching from a non-AOC optical module to an AOC optical module, the external optical fiber 101 at the optical port is pulled out, the optical cable plug 900 at one end of the optical cable 1100 is inserted into the claw 710 in the optical fiber adapter 700, and the first protective cover 910 and the second protective cover 920 are buckled on the optical cable plug 900. The annular sleeve 905 is locked with the locking boss in the second protective cover 920 to prevent abnormal disassembly of the optical cable plug 900 and the optical fiber adapter 700; finally, the handle 610 is turned counterclockwise to reset, thereby converting the non-AOC optical module into an AOC optical module. The manufacturer only needs to produce non-AOC optical modules, and when needed, the non-AOC optical module can be converted into an AOC optical module by fixing the optical cable plug 900 through a set of anti-disassembly structures, thereby improving the switching efficiency between non-AOC optical modules and AOC optical modules.

[0160] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG6 , when the optical module is a non-AOC optical module, the optical signal emitted by the first optical component 400 in the optical module is coupled to the optical fiber adapter 700 via the first optical fiber ribbon 410. The optical signal is then transmitted to the external optical fiber 101 via the optical fiber adapter 700 to achieve the emission of one group of light. The external optical signal transmitted by the external optical fiber 101 is transmitted to the first optical component 400 via the optical fiber adapter 700 and the first optical fiber ribbon 410 to achieve the reception of one group of light. The optical signal emitted by the second optical component 500 in the optical module is coupled to the optical fiber adapter 700 via the second optical fiber ribbon 510. The optical signal is then transmitted to the external optical fiber 101 via the optical fiber adapter 700 and the second optical fiber ribbon 510 to achieve the reception of another group of light.

[0161] When the optical module is an AOC optical module, the optical signal emitted by the first optical component 400 in the optical module is coupled to the optical fiber adapter 700 via the first optical fiber ribbon 410. The optical signal is then transmitted to the optical cable 1100 via the optical fiber adapter 700 and the optical cable plug 900, thereby transmitting one group of light. The external optical signal transmitted by the optical cable 1100 is transmitted to the first optical component 400 via the optical cable plug 900, the optical fiber adapter 700, and the first optical fiber ribbon 410, thereby receiving one group of light. The optical signal emitted by the second optical component 500 in the optical module is coupled to the optical fiber adapter 700 via the second optical fiber ribbon 510. The optical signal is then transmitted to the optical cable 1100 via the optical fiber adapter 700 and the optical cable plug 900, thereby transmitting another group of light. The external optical signal transmitted by the optical cable 1100 is transmitted to the second optical component 500 via the optical cable plug 900, the optical fiber adapter 700, and the second optical fiber ribbon 510, thereby receiving another group of light.

[0162] In some embodiments, the first optical component 400 and the second optical component 500 have the same structure. The first optical component 400 includes an optical emitting chip, an optical receiving chip, a lens assembly and an optical fiber bracket. The optical emitting chip and the optical receiving chip are mounted on the circuit board 300. The lens assembly cover is disposed on the optical emitting chip and the optical receiving chip. The first optical fiber ribbon 410 is connected to the lens assembly through the optical fiber bracket.

[0163] The lens assembly not only realizes the optical connection between the light emitting chip, the light receiving chip and the first optical fiber ribbon 410, but also protects the light emitting chip and the light receiving chip. However, when making the lens assembly, a precision mold needs to be made. The mold cost is high and the versatility is poor. The lens assembly and the optical fiber ribbon require high precision when assembled, and special assembly jigs need to be developed. In addition, the lens assembly does not protect the optical fiber ribbon.

[0164] Figure 31 is an assembly diagram of a circuit board and a shielding component in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, and Figure 32 is an exploded view of a circuit board and a shielding component in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figures 31 and 32, the optical module provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure also includes a shielding cover 1300 and a shielding bracket 1400. The shielding bracket 1400 is provided on the circuit board 300. The shielding bracket 1400 is provided on the optical transmitter chip and the optical receiver chip of the first optical component 400 and the second optical component 500. The shielding bracket 1400 protects the optical transmitter chip and the optical receiver chip on the circuit board 300, as well as the first optical fiber ribbon 410 connecting the first optical component 400 and the second optical fiber ribbon 510 connecting the second optical component 500.

[0165] The shielding cover 1300 is buckled on the shielding bracket 1400 , and the shielding bracket 1400 supports the shielding cover 1300 , and the shielding cover 1300 completely wraps the shielding bracket 1400 . The combination of the shielding cover 1300 and the shielding bracket 1400 achieves an EMC shielding effect for the optical module.

[0166] Figure 33 is a structural diagram of a circuit board in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, and Figure 34 is a side view of a circuit board in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figures 33 and 34, the first optical component 400 includes a first light emitting chip 401, a first light receiving chip 402, and a first fiber optic support 403. The first light emitting chip 401, the first light receiving chip 402, and the first fiber optic support 403 are directly mounted on the surface of the circuit board 300. The first fiber optic support 403 is located to the left of the first light emitting chip 401. The first light emitting chip 401 and the first light receiving chip 402 are arranged side by side along the width of the circuit board 300.

[0167] A first driver chip 302 is also provided on the surface of the circuit board 300. The first driver chip 302 can be located on the right side of the first light emitting chip 401. The first driver chip 302 is electrically connected to the first light emitting chip 401. The first driver chip 302 sends a driving signal to the first light emitting chip 401 to drive the first light emitting chip 401 to generate an optical signal.

[0168] A first trans-impedance amplifier (TIA) 303 is also provided on the surface of the circuit board 300. The first trans-impedance amplifier 303 can be located on one side of the first optical receiving chip 402. For example, the first trans-impedance amplifier 303 is located on the right side of the first optical receiving chip 402. The first trans-impedance amplifier 303 is electrically connected to the first optical receiving chip 402. The electrical signal output by the first optical receiving chip 402 is amplified by the first trans-impedance amplifier 303 and then transmitted to the gold finger 301. The electrical signal is transmitted to the host computer 100 via the gold finger 301.

[0169] As shown in Figure 34, there is no lens assembly covering the first light emitting chip 401 and the first light receiving chip 402. The first optical fiber ribbon 410 is inserted into the first optical fiber holder 403, and the right end face of the optical fiber in the first optical fiber ribbon 410 protrudes from the right side of the first optical fiber holder 403. The right end face of the optical fiber is an inclined reflection surface, which is located directly above the first light emitting chip 401 or the first light receiving chip 402. In this way, the first light emitting chip 401 emits a light beam perpendicular to the circuit board 300, and the light beam is reflected into the optical fiber through the reflection surface of the optical fiber. The reflected light beam is coupled to the optical fiber adapter 700 through the optical fiber, and the light beam is then transmitted to the external optical fiber 101 or the optical cable 1100 through the optical fiber adapter 700.

[0170] External light transmitted by the external optical fiber 101 or the optical cable 1100 is transmitted to the first optical fiber ribbon 410 via the optical fiber adapter 700 . The external light is reflected by the reflective surfaces of the optical fibers in the first optical fiber ribbon 410 to the first light receiving chip 402 .

[0171] In some embodiments, the second optical component 500 includes a second light emitting chip 501, a second light receiving chip 502 and a second optical fiber holder 503. The second light emitting chip 501, the second light receiving chip 502 and the second optical fiber holder 503 are directly mounted on the surface of the circuit board 300. The second optical fiber holder 503 is located on the left side of the second light emitting chip 501. The second light emitting chip 501 and the second light receiving chip 502 are arranged side by side along the width direction of the circuit board 300.

[0172] A second driver chip 304 is also provided on the surface of the circuit board 300. The second driver chip 304 can be located on the right side of the second light emitting chip 501. The second driver chip 304 is electrically connected to the second light emitting chip 501. The second driver chip 304 sends a driving signal to the second light emitting chip 501 to drive the second light emitting chip 501 to generate an optical signal.

[0173] A second trans-impedance amplifier (TIA) 305 is also provided on the surface of the circuit board 300. The second trans-impedance amplifier 305 can be located on one side of the second optical receiving chip 502. For example, the second trans-impedance amplifier 305 is located on the right side of the second optical receiving chip 502. The second trans-impedance amplifier 305 is electrically connected to the second optical receiving chip 502. The electrical signal output by the second optical receiving chip 502 is amplified by the second trans-impedance amplifier 305 and transmitted to the gold finger 301. The electrical signal is transmitted to the host computer 100 via the gold finger 301.

[0174] In some embodiments, no lens assembly is covered on the second light emitting chip 501 and the second light receiving chip 502, the second optical fiber ribbon 510 is inserted into the second optical fiber holder 503, and the right end face of the optical fiber in the second optical fiber ribbon 510 protrudes from the right side face of the second optical fiber holder 503, the right end face of the optical fiber is an inclined reflection surface, and the reflection surface is located directly above the second light emitting chip 501 or the second light receiving chip 502, so that the second light emitting chip 501 emits a light beam perpendicular to the circuit board 300, the light beam is reflected into the optical fiber by the reflection surface of the optical fiber, the reflected light beam is coupled to the optical fiber adapter 700 via the optical fiber, and the light beam is then transmitted to the external optical fiber 101 or the optical cable 1100 via the optical fiber adapter 700.

[0175] External light transmitted by the external optical fiber 101 or the optical cable 1100 is transmitted to the second optical fiber ribbon 510 via the optical fiber adapter 700 . The external light is reflected by the reflective surfaces of the optical fibers in the second optical fiber ribbon 510 to the second light receiving chip 502 .

[0176] In some embodiments, the light generated by the optical transmitter chip is directly reflected into the optical fiber via the reflective surface of the optical fiber, and the external light transmitted by the optical fiber is directly reflected to the optical receiver chip via the reflective surface of the optical fiber. There is no need to set up a lens assembly. In this way, the mold cost and parts cost are reduced, and the assembly accuracy requirements for the optical fiber, the optical transmitter chip and the optical receiver chip are not high. The assembly is convenient and can be assembled manually by the operator.

[0177] Figure 35 illustrates the structure of a shielding bracket in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, Figure 36 illustrates the assembly of a circuit board and a shielding bracket in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, and Figure 37 illustrates the assembly of a circuit board and a shielding bracket in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure from another perspective. As shown in Figures 35, 36, and 37, shielding bracket 1400 includes a bracket body 1401. A first support arm 1410, a second support arm 1411, and a third support arm 1412 are disposed on the side of bracket body 1401. The first support arm 1410, the second support arm 1411, and the third support arm 1412 extend from bracket body 1401 toward circuit board 300. Bracket body 1401 is connected to the surface of circuit board 300 via the first support arm 1410, the second support arm 1411, and the third support arm 1412, thereby forming a cavity between bracket body 1401 and circuit board 300. This cavity is configured to accommodate an optoelectronic chip on circuit board 300.

[0178] In some embodiments, the first support arm 1410, the second support arm 1411 and the third support arm 1412 are arranged along the left and right directions (such as the light transmission direction of the optical module), and the second support arm 1411 and the third support arm 1412 are located on the same vertical plane. At this time, the second support arm 1411 and the third support arm 1412 are flush with each other; the second support arm 1411 protrudes from the first support arm 1410 to increase the width of the right side of the shielding bracket 1400, so that the cavity formed by the shielding bracket 1400 and the circuit board 300 can accommodate more optoelectronic chips, thereby increasing the protection area of the shielding bracket 1400.

[0179] A shielding plate 1402 is provided on the left side of the bracket body 1401. The top surface of the shielding plate 1402 is fixedly connected to the bracket body 1401. The bottom surface of the shielding plate 1402 can be flush with the bottom surface of the circuit board 300, and the shielding plate 1402 is mounted on the left side of the circuit board 300 to realize the positioning of the shielding bracket 1400 on the circuit board 300 through the shielding plate 1402.

[0180] In some embodiments, bending plates 1403 are provided on both sides of the shielding plate 1402, and the bending plates 1403 extend from the shielding plate 1402 to the right side of the circuit board 300. The inner side of the bending plate 1403 is mounted on the side of the circuit board 300, so that the shielding plate 1402 wraps the left side of the circuit board 300 to achieve close contact between the shielding plate 1402 and the end face of the circuit board 300.

[0181] 36 , a first avoidance hole 1409 and a second avoidance hole 1404 are formed on the bracket body 1401, and the first light emitting chip 401, the first light receiving chip 402 and the first optical fiber bracket 403 are located in the first avoidance hole 1409, so that the light emitted by the first light emitting chip 401 is reflected through the reflective surface of the optical fiber into the optical fiber in the first optical fiber ribbon 410, and the light transmitted by the optical fiber in the first optical fiber ribbon 410 is reflected through the reflective surface of the optical fiber to the first light receiving chip 402; the second light emitting chip 501, the second light receiving chip 502 and the second optical fiber bracket 503 are located in the second avoidance hole 1404, so that the light emitted by the second light emitting chip 501 is reflected through the reflective surface of the optical fiber into the optical fiber in the second optical fiber ribbon 510, and the light transmitted by the optical fiber in the second optical fiber ribbon 510 is reflected through the reflective surface of the optical fiber to the second light receiving chip 502.

[0182] In some embodiments, the first light emitting chip 401 and the first light receiving chip 402 are located in the first avoidance hole 1409, and the first driver chip 302 and the first transimpedance amplifier 303 on the circuit board 300 are located in the cavity formed by the bracket body 1401 and the circuit board 300 to protect the first driver chip 302, the first transimpedance amplifier 303, the gold wire connecting the first light emitting chip 401 and the first driver chip 302, and the gold wire connecting the first light receiving chip 402 and the first transimpedance amplifier 303, to avoid damage to the optoelectronic chip and gold wire on the circuit board 300 during the production process.

[0183] A first protective wall 1415 is provided on the edge of one end of the first avoidance hole 1409. The first protective wall 1415 extends from the bracket body 1401 toward the upper shell body 201. After the first optical fiber bracket 403 is placed in the first avoidance hole 1409, the optical fiber reflective surface protruding from the first optical fiber bracket 403 can be against the first protective wall 1415. The first protective wall 1415 can limit and protect the first optical fiber bracket 403 and the first optical fiber ribbon 410 protruding from the first optical fiber bracket 403, so as to prevent damage to the first optical fiber bracket 403 during the production process, or poor assembly caused by displacement of the first optical fiber bracket 403.

[0184] A first limiting wall 1413 and a second limiting wall 1414 are respectively provided on the two side walls at the other end of the first avoidance hole 1409. The first limiting wall 1413 and the second limiting wall 1414 extend from the bracket body 1401 toward the upper shell body 201, and the first limiting wall 1413 and the first protective wall 1415 are located on both sides of the first optical fiber bracket 403.

[0185] In some embodiments, the width between the first limiting wall 1413 and the second limiting wall 1414 is smaller than the width of the right side of the first avoidance hole 1409. For example, the width between the first limiting wall 1413 and the second limiting wall 1414 is smaller than the width of the first optical fiber holder 403. Thus, when the first optical fiber holder 403 is placed in the first avoidance hole 1409, the first optical fiber ribbon 410 inserted into the first optical fiber holder 403 is placed between the first limiting wall 1413 and the second limiting wall 1414. This allows the first optical fiber ribbon 410 to be protected and avoided by the first limiting wall 1413 and the second limiting wall 1414, preventing it from being crushed or damaged when assembled with the upper housing 201.

[0186] In some embodiments, the second light emitting chip 501 and the second light receiving chip 502 are located in the second avoidance hole 1404, and the second driver chip 304 and the second transimpedance amplifier 305 on the circuit board 300 are located in the cavity formed by the bracket body 1401 and the circuit board 300 to protect the second driver chip 304, the second transimpedance amplifier 305, the gold wire connecting the second light emitting chip 501 and the second driver chip 304, and the gold wire connecting the second light receiving chip 502 and the second transimpedance amplifier 305, to avoid damage to the optoelectronic chip and gold wire on the circuit board 300 during the production process.

[0187] The second avoidance hole 1404 extends from the shielding plate 1402 toward the first avoidance hole 1409. A first support plate 1405 and a second support plate 1406 are arranged between the shielding plate 1402 and the bracket body 1401. The two ends of the first support plate 1405 are fixedly connected to the bracket body 1401 and the shielding plate 1402 respectively. The two ends of the second support plate 1406 are fixedly connected to the bracket body 1401 and the shielding plate 1402 respectively. The first support plate 1405 and the second support plate 1406 are located on both sides of the second avoidance hole 1404.

[0188] In some embodiments, the first support plate 1405 and the second support plate 1406 can be flush with the bracket body 1401, and the first support plate 1405 and the second support plate 1406 can also protrude from the bracket body 1401, that is, the distance between the first support plate 1405 and the second support plate 1406 and the circuit board 300 is greater than the distance between the bracket body 1401 and the circuit board 300, so that electrical components with a higher mounting height can be placed under the first support plate 1405 and the second support plate 1406.

[0189] A fourth support arm 1407 is provided on one side of the first support plate 1405 and extends from the first support plate 1405 toward the circuit board 300. A fifth support arm is provided on one side of the second support plate 1406 and extends from the second support plate 1406 toward the circuit board 300. The fourth and fifth support arms 1407 and 1405 are located on either side of the second avoidance hole 1404. Thus, when the shielding bracket 1400 is buckled onto the circuit board 300, the fourth and fifth support arms support the shielding bracket 1400.

[0190] In some embodiments, electrical components are provided on the circuit board 300 below the first support plate 1405 and the second support plate 1406 , and the height of the left side of the shielding bracket 1400 is raised by the fourth support arm 1407 and the fifth support arm, so that the shielding bracket 1400 can avoid the electrical components on the circuit board 300 to protect the electrical components on the circuit board 300 .

[0191] In some embodiments, the fourth support arm 1407 and the fifth support arm are used to raise the left side of the shielding bracket 1400 , and the shielding bracket 1400 is designed to have different heights to avoid electrical components at different heights on the circuit board 300 .

[0192] When the second optical fiber holder 503 is placed in the second avoidance hole 1404, the heights of the fourth support arm 1407 and the fifth support arm can be higher than the installation height of the second optical fiber holder 503. The second optical fiber ribbon 510 inserted into the second optical fiber holder 503 is placed between the fourth support arm 1407 and the fifth support arm, and the first optical fiber ribbon 410 is placed between the fourth support arm 1407 and the fifth support arm after passing over the second optical fiber holder 503. In this way, when the upper housing 201 is assembled, the fourth support arm 1407 and the fifth support arm can support the upper housing 201, thereby protecting and avoiding the first optical fiber ribbon 410 and the second optical fiber ribbon 510, and preventing the first optical fiber ribbon 410 and the second optical fiber ribbon 510 from being crushed or damaged during assembly of the upper housing 201.

[0193] 37 , in some embodiments, a second protective wall 1408 is provided on the edge of one end of the second avoidance hole 1404. The second protective wall 1408 extends from the bracket body 1401 toward the upper housing 201, and the second protective wall 1408 and the shielding plate 1402 are located at both ends of the second avoidance hole 1404. After the second optical fiber bracket 503 is placed in the second avoidance hole 1404, the optical fiber reflective surface protruding from the second optical fiber bracket 503 can abut against the second protective wall 1408. The second protective wall 1408 can limit and protect the second optical fiber bracket 503 and the second optical fiber ribbon 510 protruding from the second optical fiber bracket 503, preventing damage to the second optical fiber bracket 503 and the second optical fiber ribbon 510 during the production process, or preventing assembly defects caused by displacement of the second optical fiber bracket 503.

[0194] In some embodiments, the shielding bracket 1400 can be a sheet metal spring, and the shielding bracket 1400 can be used to protect the optoelectronic chip and gold wire on the circuit board 300. The mold cost and parts cost of the shielding bracket 1400 are very low, and the product precision requirements are not high. The shielding bracket 1400 is easy to assemble with the circuit board 300 and can be assembled manually by the operator.

[0195] In some embodiments, the optoelectronic chip on the circuit board 300 may have various electromagnetic wave radiation problems during operation, which may easily cause the electromagnetic interference (EMI) of the optical module to exceed the standard. However, the shielding bracket 1400 cannot achieve the electromagnetic shielding effect. Therefore, a shielding cover is required to shield the optoelectronic chip and other major radiation devices through the shielding cover to effectively solve the electromagnetic interference problem of the optical module.

[0196] Figure 38 is a structural diagram of a shielding cover in an optical module provided according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, Figure 39 is an assembly cross-sectional view of a circuit board and a shielding component in an optical module provided according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, and Figure 40 is an assembly diagram of a circuit board and a shielding component in an optical module provided according to some embodiments of the present disclosure at another angle. As shown in Figures 38, 39 and 40, the shielding cover 1300 includes a top plate 1301 and a first side wall 1302, a second side wall 1303, a third side wall 1304 and a fourth side wall 1312 fixedly connected to the top plate 1301. The first side wall 1302 and the second side wall 1303 are arranged opposite to each other, and the third side wall 1304 and the fourth side wall 1312 are arranged opposite to each other. The two ends of the third side wall 1304 and the fourth side wall 1312 are fixedly connected to the first side wall 1302 and the second side wall 1303 respectively. In this way, the top plate 1301, the first side wall 1302, the second side wall 1303, the third side wall 1304 and the fourth side wall 1312 form a shielding cover with an open lower end.

[0197] When the shielding cover 1300 is placed on the circuit board 300, the shielding bracket 1400 is located between the shielding bracket 1400 and the circuit board 300. The shielding cover 1300 is supported and fixed by the shielding bracket 1400, so that the shielding cover 1300 is fully enclosed, which can prevent thermal conductive glue particles or solder particles from damaging the optoelectronic chip or gold wire.

[0198] In some embodiments, the shielding cover 1300 is covered on the circuit board 300, the third side wall 1304 is mounted on the shielding plate 1402 of the shielding bracket 1400, and the first side wall 1302, the second side wall 1303 and the fourth side wall 1312 are supported on the circuit board 300. In this way, the shielding bracket 1400 supports the shielding cover 1300, and the shielding bracket 1400 and the shielding cover 1300 are combined to form a shielding component, which is sealed with the circuit board 300. EMC shielding is achieved through the shielding component to achieve a better shielding effect.

[0199] An avoidance groove 1305 is formed on the third side wall 1304, and the avoidance groove 1305 is extended from the bottom surface of the third side wall 1304 toward the top plate 1301. After the shielding cover 1300 is placed on the shielding bracket 1400, the first optical fiber ribbon 410 and the second optical fiber ribbon 510 pass through the avoidance groove 1305 and are inserted into the optical fiber plug 720.

[0200] Referring to Figure 38 , a receiving groove 1306 is formed on the inner side of top plate 1301. This groove 1306 is recessed into the inner side surface of top plate 1301 and includes a first groove wall 1311 located between third side wall 1304 and fourth side wall 1312. After shield cover 1300 is placed on shield bracket 1400, a first protective wall 1415 on shield bracket 1400 abuts against first groove wall 1311. First groove wall 1311 is located to the right of first protective wall 1415, thereby positioning and limiting shield cover 1300 in the left and right directions.

[0201] 38 and 40 , in some embodiments, a positioning slot 1313 is formed on the fourth sidewall 1312. The positioning slot 1313 extends from the bottom surface of the fourth sidewall 1312 toward the top plate 1301 and is recessed into the inner side surface of the top plate 1301. A third protective wall 1416 is provided on the right side of the bracket body 1401. The third protective wall 1416 extends from the right edge of the bracket body 1401 toward the upper housing 201 and is parallel to the first protective wall 1415. After the shield cover 1300 is placed on the shield bracket 1400, the third protective wall 1416 on the shield bracket 1400 is inserted into the positioning slot 1313, and the shield cover 1300 is positioned by the third protective wall 1416 and the positioning slot 1313.

[0202] In some embodiments, the dimensions of the first protective wall 1415 and the third protective wall 1416 in the left-right direction may be slightly larger than or equal to the dimensions of the first groove wall 1311 and the left side wall of the positioning groove 1313 in the left-right direction, so as to limit the shielding cover 1300 in the left-right direction by the first protective wall 1415 and the third protective wall 1416, thereby avoiding electromagnetic radiation problems caused by the displacement of the shielding cover 1300.

[0203] The accommodating groove 1306 also includes a second groove wall 1308, a third groove wall 1309 and a fourth groove wall 1310. The second groove wall 1308, the third groove wall 1309 and the fourth groove wall 1310 are formed on the first side wall 1302 along the left and right directions. The fourth groove wall 1310 is connected to the first groove wall 1311. The bottom surfaces of the second groove wall 1308, the third groove wall 1309 and the fourth groove wall 1310 are flush.

[0204] A fifth groove wall, a sixth groove wall and a seventh groove wall are formed on the second side wall 1303 in the left-right direction. The bottom surfaces of the fifth groove wall, the sixth groove wall and the seventh groove wall are flush with each other. The second groove wall 1308 is arranged opposite to the fifth groove wall, and the second groove wall 1308 and the fifth groove wall form a first accommodating groove 1314; the third groove wall 1309 is arranged opposite to the sixth groove wall, and the third groove wall 1309 and the sixth groove wall form a second accommodating groove 1315; the fourth groove wall 1310 is arranged opposite to the seventh groove wall, and the fourth groove wall 1310 and the seventh groove wall form a third accommodating groove 1316.

[0205] The first accommodating groove 1314 , the second accommodating groove 1315 and the third accommodating groove 1316 are connected. The first avoidance hole 1409 is located in the third accommodating groove 1316 . The second avoidance hole 1404 is located in the first accommodating groove 1314 . The first optical fiber ribbon 410 is located in the second accommodating groove 1315 .

[0206] In some embodiments, the width dimension of the first accommodating groove 1314 is a first width dimension, the width dimension of the second accommodating groove 1315 is a second width dimension, and the width dimension of the third accommodating groove 1316 is a third width dimension. The first width dimension may be the same as the third width dimension, the first width dimension is greater than the second width dimension, and the first width dimension is smaller than the width dimension between the first side wall 1302 and the second side wall 1303.

[0207] A first contact plate 1307 and a second contact plate are provided in the accommodating groove 1306. The first contact plate 1307 extends from the left side of the second groove wall 1308 to the third side wall 1304, and the second contact plate extends from the left side of the fifth groove wall to the third side wall 1304. After the shielding cover 1300 is placed on the circuit board 300, the height dimension between the first contact plate 1307 and the circuit board 300 is the same as the height dimension between the second contact plate and the circuit board 300, and the height dimension between the first contact plate 1307 and the circuit board 300 is greater than the height dimension between the second groove wall 1308 and the circuit board 300.

[0208] 40 , when the shielding cover 1300 is placed on the circuit board 300 , the first support plate 1405 of the shielding bracket 1400 is supported and connected to the first contact plate 1307 , and the second support plate 1406 is supported and connected to the second contact plate, so that the shielding cover 1300 is supported by the shielding bracket 1400 .

[0209] In the optical module provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, the shielding cover 1300 is placed on the circuit board 300, and the shielding cover 1300 is supported and fixed by the shielding bracket 1400. In this way, the shielding cover 1300 and the shielding bracket 1400 are combined to fully seal the shielding cover 1300 and the circuit board 300, thereby achieving an excellent EMC shielding effect, preventing dust, and preventing the internal components of the optical module, such as small molecules, sulfur-containing substances, silicone oil, etc. remaining in the thermal conductive material and absorbing material from polluting the optical path.

[0210] In some embodiments, the outer side surface of the shielding cover 1300 is in contact with the inner side surface of the upper shell 201, and the heat of the components in the shielding cover 1300 is conducted to the upper shell 201 through the shielding cover 1300. Since the surface area of the shielding cover 1300 is large, the heat dissipation area is increased, thereby improving the heat dissipation performance of the optical module.

[0211] In some embodiments, when shielding cover 1300 provides electromagnetic shielding for the optoelectronic chip on circuit board 300, some electromagnetic radiation may escape through avoidance slots 1305 on shielding cover 1300, affecting the EMC shielding effectiveness of the optical module. To improve the EMC shielding effectiveness of the optical module, a conductive member may be disposed between upper housing 201 and lower housing 202. This conductive member is in full contact with the inner sides of upper housing 201 and lower housing 202. The optical fiber ribbon passing through shielding cover 1300 passes through the conductive member, thereby achieving EMC shielding through the seal between the conductive member, upper housing 201, and lower housing 202.

[0212] Figure 41 is an assembly diagram of a circuit board, a shielding component, and a lower housing in an optical module according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figures 24 and 41, a first mounting groove 2015 is formed on the upper housing 201. The first mounting groove 2015 has an opening on the side facing the lower housing 202, making the first mounting groove 2015 a U-shaped groove with an opening on the bottom side. A second mounting groove is formed on the lower housing 202. The second mounting groove has an opening on the side facing the upper housing 201, making the second mounting groove a U-shaped groove with an opening on the top side. When the upper housing 201 is covered on the lower housing 202, the first mounting groove 2015 and the second mounting groove form a complete square groove. The conductive member is located within this square groove to achieve a sealed connection between the conductive member, the upper housing 201, and the lower housing 202.

[0213] The conductive part includes a first conductive part 1510 and a second conductive part 1520. The first conductive part 1510 is placed in the first mounting groove 2015. The mounting surface of the first mounting groove 2015 is seamlessly connected to the top surface of the first conductive part 1510. The side wall of the first mounting groove 2015 is seamlessly connected to the side of the first conductive part 1510, so that the first conductive part 1510 is seamlessly connected to the first mounting groove 2015 to ensure sufficient contact between the first conductive part 1510 and the upper shell 201.

[0214] The second conductive member 1520 is placed in the second mounting groove. The mounting surface of the second mounting groove is seamlessly connected to the bottom surface of the second conductive member 1520. The sidewalls of the second mounting groove are seamlessly connected to the side surfaces of the second conductive member 1520. This ensures that the second conductive member 1520 is seamlessly connected to the second mounting groove, thereby ensuring sufficient contact between the second conductive member 1520 and the lower housing 202. For example, the first conductive member 1510 can be a first elastic conductive member, and the second conductive member 1520 can be a second elastic conductive member. Of course, both can also be other types of conductive members, and this is not limited in the present embodiment.

[0215] In some embodiments, the first optical fiber ribbon 410 and the second optical fiber ribbon 510 pass through the connection between the first conductive member 1510 and the second conductive member 1520. The first conductive member 1510 and the second conductive member 1520 can both support the first optical fiber ribbon 410 and the second optical fiber ribbon 510 and fill the gap between the upper shell 201 and the lower shell 202.

[0216] In some embodiments, two third mounting slots 2024 are further formed on the lower housing 202. The two third mounting slots 2024 are located on either side of the second mounting slot and communicate with the second mounting slot. Conductive adhesive strips 1530 are respectively disposed in the two third mounting slots 2024. These conductive adhesive strips 1530 ensure full contact between the upper housing 201 and the lower housing 202 in areas other than the first mounting slot 2015 and the second mounting slot.

[0217] The surface of the second conductive member 1520 is connected to the conductive rubber strip 1530, and the conductive rubber strip 1530 fills the gap between the upper shell 201 and the lower shell 202, so that the upper shell 201 and the lower shell 202 are in full contact, so that the upper shell 201, the first conductive member 1510, the second conductive member 1520, the conductive rubber strip 1530 and the lower shell 202 form a closed cavity. The electromagnetic radiation inside the closed cavity cannot penetrate out, thereby effectively reducing the electromagnetic radiation and playing a role in electromagnetic shielding.

[0218] In some embodiments, the first conductive member 1510 and the second conductive member 1520 may be conductive gaskets or conductive foams.

[0219] Figure 42 is a cross-sectional view of an optical module provided according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
