[0001] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the State Intellectual Property Office of China on June 30, 2023, with application number 202310803309.3, and priority to the Chinese patent application entitled “An interface display method and electronic device”, all contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field

[0002] The embodiments of the present application relate to the field of electronic technology, and in particular to an interface display method and an electronic device. Background Art

[0003] Currently, terminal devices have the function of multi-interface display, such as displaying different interfaces of the same application through parallel vision split-screen, and displaying application windows of different applications through smart multi-screen.

[0004] However, when users want to operate multiple interfaces displayed on a terminal device, they often need to perform cumbersome user operations on multiple interfaces. For example, when an electronic device displays the shopping cart interface and order interface of a shopping app through a parallel view split screen, if the user wants to change the order, they need to check the items in the shopping cart interface and then click the checkout control, which requires multiple steps. For another example, when the electronic device displays the comment interface of a sports video website or entertainment forum, the user needs to manually refresh the content of the comment interface.

[0005] The above interface display method requires tedious user operations and has a poor user experience.

[0006] Summary of the Invention

[0007] This application provides an interface display method and electronic device. In this method, the electronic device can display at least two display interfaces; the at least two display interfaces include a first display interface and a second display interface. In response to detecting a user operation on the first display interface, the electronic device updates the display content of the first display interface and the second display interface, or updates the display content of the first display interface in real time when the content displayed on the first display interface is a comment on the content displayed on the second display interface. In this method, the user can control the display of multiple interfaces without tedious user operations, simplifying user operations and improving the user experience.

[0008] In a first aspect, an embodiment of the present application provides an interface display method, applied to an electronic device, the method comprising:

[0009] The electronic device displays a first display interface and a second display interface;

[0010] The electronic device updates display content of the first display interface and the second display interface in response to detecting a user operation acting on the first display interface.

[0011] In the embodiment of the present application, the user only needs to perform user operations in the first display interface to simultaneously update the display content of the first display interface and the second display interface, without having to perform further operations on the second display interface. In this method, the user can control the display of multiple interfaces without tedious user operations, which can effectively improve the user experience.

[0012] In combination with the first aspect, in a possible implementation, the first display interface and the second display interface are display interfaces of different sub-functions of the first application.

[0013] In an embodiment of the present application, an electronic device can display different sub-function display interfaces of the same application. A user can perform a user operation on one of the different sub-function display interfaces, causing the electronic device to simultaneously update the display content of the different sub-function display interfaces. In this method, the user can control the display of different sub-function display interfaces of the same application without tedious user operations, which can effectively improve the user experience.

[0014] In conjunction with the first aspect, in a possible implementation, the electronic device simultaneously displays a first display interface and a second display interface; the first display interface includes a first control, and the first control is used to determine the first information;

[0015] When the electronic device detects a user operation acting on the first control in the first display interface, it updates the display content of the first display interface and the second display interface. The updated second display interface includes second information, and the second information is determined based on the first information.

[0016] Optionally, the first application is a shopping application, the first display interface is a shopping cart interface corresponding to the purchase function of the shopping application, and the second display interface is an order interface corresponding to the settlement function of the shopping application; the first control is a check control, which is used to determine the product status of the product, and the first information can be the product status of the product, which can include a selected state and an unselected state; the second information is order information, for example, the order information can include product information and order amount in the order.

[0017] In an embodiment of the present application, the electronic device can simultaneously update the display content of the first display interface and the second display interface based solely on the user's operation of a checkbox control, for example, updating the product status on the first display interface and updating the order information on the second display interface. In this method, the user does not need to click the checkbox control and then the checkout control to update the second display interface, which facilitates more convenient and faster order placement for the user.

[0018] In conjunction with the first aspect, in one possible implementation, the first application is a shopping application, the first display interface is a shopping cart interface corresponding to a purchase function of the shopping application, and the second display interface is an order interface corresponding to a checkout function of the shopping application; the electronic device, in response to detecting a user operation on the first display interface, updates display content on the first display interface and the second display interface, including:

[0019] In response to detecting a user operation instructing to cancel the first item in the shopping cart interface, the electronic device displays the first item in the shopping cart interface from a selected state to an unselected state;

[0020] The electronic device deletes the product information of the first product in the order interface, and changes the order amount in the order interface from the total amount when the first product is included to the total amount when the first product is not included.

[0021] In an embodiment of the present application, an electronic device displays the shopping cart interface and order interface of a shopping application through a parallel view split screen. Users can select items in the shopping cart to simultaneously change the item status on the shopping cart interface and the item information on the order interface, as well as calculate the order amount in real time. This eliminates the need to click on a checkout control, facilitating more convenient and rapid order placement. In this method, users only need to change the item's selected status to see updates to both the shopping cart and order interfaces simultaneously, simplifying user operations and effectively improving the user experience.

[0022] In conjunction with the first aspect, in one possible implementation, the first application is a shopping application, the first display interface is a shopping cart interface corresponding to a purchase function of the shopping application, and the second display interface is an order interface corresponding to a checkout function of the shopping application; the electronic device, in response to detecting a user operation on the first display interface, updates display content on the first display interface and the second display interface, including:

[0023] In response to detecting a user operation indicating selection of a second item in the shopping cart interface, the electronic device displays the second item in the shopping cart interface from an unselected state to a selected state;

[0024] The electronic device displays the product information of the second product in the order interface, and changes the order amount in the order interface from the total amount when the second product is not included to the total amount when the second product is included.

[0025] Optionally, the first product and the second product may be the same product or two different products.

[0026] In combination with the first aspect, in a possible implementation, the first display interface is the interface displayed by the first window corresponding to the second application, and the second display interface is the interface displayed by the second window corresponding to the third application; the second application and the third application are different applications.

[0109] The 3D graphics processing library is used to implement 3C graphics drawing, image rendering, synthesis, and layer processing.

[0110] A 2D graphics engine is a drawing engine for 2D drawings.

[0111] The kernel layer is the layer between hardware and software. The kernel layer may include display drivers, camera drivers, audio drivers, sensor drivers, virtual card drivers, etc.

[0112] The following describes the workflow of the software and hardware of the electronic device 100 in conjunction with capturing a photo scene.

[0113] When the touch sensor 180K receives a touch operation, the corresponding hardware interrupt is sent to the kernel layer. The kernel layer processes the touch operation into a raw input event (including touch coordinates, touch operation timestamp, and other information). The raw input event is stored in the kernel layer. The application framework layer obtains the raw input event from the kernel layer and identifies the control corresponding to the input event. For example, if the touch operation is a touch single-click operation and the control corresponding to the single-click operation is the control of the camera application icon, the camera application calls the interface of the application framework layer to start the camera application, and then starts the camera driver by calling the kernel layer to capture a still image or video through the camera 193.

[0114] The interface display method is described below in conjunction with a user interface implemented on an electronic device provided in an embodiment of the present application.

[0115] In an embodiment of the present application, the electronic device can display at least two display interfaces; the at least two display interfaces include a first display interface and a second display interface; the electronic device updates the display content of the first display interface and the second display interface in response to detecting a user operation acting on the first display interface, or updates the display content of the first display interface in real time when the content displayed on the first display interface is a comment on the content displayed on the second display interface.

[0116] Optionally, the at least two display interfaces may display display interfaces of different sub-functions of the same application, or the at least two display interfaces may display display interfaces of different applications. For example, the at least two display interfaces are at least two display interfaces of a first application displayed by the electronic device via parallel fields of view; or, for another example, the at least two display interfaces are display interfaces of application windows of different applications displayed by the electronic device via a split-screen function and / or a floating window function. For ease of description, in the following embodiments, an application window opened via the split-screen function is referred to as a split-screen window, and an application window opened via the floating window function is referred to as a floating window.

[0117] Among them, parallel vision is an in-application split-screen display function that can display multiple application pages of the same application in multiple display areas on the display screen of an electronic device.

[0118] Optionally, when the electronic device displays display interfaces of different applications, at least two display interfaces may be display interfaces of applications of different application types, or at least two display interfaces may be display interfaces of applications of the same application type. For details, please refer to the relevant embodiments of Figures 8A to 10B below.

[0119] It should be noted that in the embodiments of the present application, the user operation can be a touch operation (such as a click operation, a long press operation, an upward swipe operation, a downward swipe operation, or a side swipe operation) of the user, or a contactless operation (such as an air gesture or a mouse operation), or a user's voice command, and the embodiments of the present application do not impose specific restrictions on this. For the convenience of description, the following embodiments are described using the user's mouse operation as an example.

[0120] Implementing the embodiments of the present application can meet users' growing demand for timely and convenient information acquisition. For example, an electronic device can display the shopping cart interface and order interface of a shopping application through a parallel view split screen. Users can modify the order information on the order page and calculate the order amount in real time by selecting items in the shopping cart, without having to click the checkout control, which facilitates users to check out and place orders more conveniently and quickly. For another example, for comments on competitive video websites and entertainment forums, users do not need to manually click. The electronic device can automatically refresh the comments on the comment interface in real time, facilitating convenient and quick information acquisition and reducing user operations.

[0121] First, an embodiment of updating an interface when an electronic device displays multiple interfaces through parallel fields of view is introduced.

[0122] In some embodiments, the electronic device may display at least two display interfaces of the first application in a parallel field of view manner, and the at least two display interfaces may include a first display interface and a second display interface; when the electronic device detects a user operation on the first display interface, it updates the display content of the first display interface and the second display interface respectively.

[0123] In the embodiments of the present application, the display mode of parallel horizons can be understood as an application split-screen function that supports multiple screen displays of one application. For example, a user can display the same application in two windows on an available terminal, operate and watch at the same time without delay. For example, when a user uses a chat software in the horizontal screen state of the terminal, the system can enter the parallel horizon mode, and the user can easily reply to chat messages while browsing the circle of friends or public account articles; or when shopping online, you can view the product details of your favorite product while continuing to browse other product lists.

[0124] Optionally, the electronic device may be a foldable device. For example, the first display interface and the second display interface may be displayed in different display areas of the same screen on the foldable device. For example, the screen may be divided into a first area and a second area along a foldable edge, and the first display interface may be displayed in the first area, while the second display interface may be displayed in the second area.

[0125] The following is an illustrative example of using an electronic device to perform shopping settlement in a shopping scenario.

[0126] In some embodiments, the electronic device displays the shopping cart interface and the order interface of the shopping software through parallel vision split screen; when the electronic device detects user operations on the shopping cart interface, it updates the shopping cart interface and the order interface.

[0127] Please refer to Figures 3A to 3C, which are relevant user interfaces implemented on an electronic device when performing shopping settlement in a shopping scenario, as exemplarily provided in an embodiment of the present application.

[0128] Figure 3A illustrates a user interface 31 on an electronic device, exemplarily provided in an embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 3A , user interface 31 includes an application interface 311 and an application interface 312. Application interface 311 is the shopping cart interface corresponding to a shopping app; application interface 312 is any display interface of the shopping app, not limited herein. Application interface 311 may be the first display interface described above; application interface 312 may be the second display interface described above.

[0129] Among them, the application interface 311 may include multiple product information, such as the product name, price and quantity of the product in Picture 1, and a check control corresponding to each product, such as the check control 311a corresponding to the product in Picture 1, the check control 311b corresponding to the product in Picture 2, and the check control 311c corresponding to the product in Picture 3; the application interface 311 also includes a settlement control 311d.

[0130] In the embodiment of the present application, the color of the check control is used to represent the product status of the product. If the check control is gray, it means that the product status of the product corresponding to the check control is selected. For example, the three products displayed in the application interface 311 are all selected.

[0131] It should be understood that the above-mentioned user interface 31 is only an example provided in the embodiment of the present application. The shopping cart interface in the present application may also include more or fewer controls than the above-mentioned user interface 31, and the embodiment of the present application does not limit this.

[0132] As shown in FIG3A , upon detecting a user operation on a checkout control 311d, the electronic device may display a user interface 32 as shown in FIG3B in response to the user operation. The user interface 32 includes an application interface 311 and an application interface 320. Application interface 320 is the order interface of the shopping app. For example, the order interface may include address information, information about the items selected in the shopping cart interface (i.e., order item information), and the order amount.

[0133] For ease of understanding in the embodiments of the present application, the order amount is set to the sum of the unit prices of all the goods on the order. In other embodiments of the present application, the order amount may not be equal to the sum of the unit prices of all the goods on the order, and may be changed according to the actual application scenario, such as when the order amount is less than the sum of the unit prices of all the goods on the order due to a full-discount activity.

[0134] In one implementation, the user can select or cancel the product in the application interface 311 by checking the control.

[0135] Optionally, the user can check one or more products in the application interface 311 at the same time. For example, by clicking the check box corresponding to a store, all products in the shopping cart of the store can be selected at the same time.

[0136] The following uses an example of operating a product. For example, a user can click the checkbox corresponding to Image 3. Correspondingly, the electronic device responds to the user operation by updating the product status of the product in Image 3 from a selected state to an unselected state, and also updates the order information on the order interface.

[0137] As shown in FIG3B , the electronic device detects a user operation on a checkbox control 311c in user interface 32. In response to the user operation, the electronic device may display a user interface 33 as shown in FIG3C , which includes an application interface 331 and an application interface 332. Application interface 331 is an updated shopping cart interface, including a checkbox control 331c updated to an unchecked state, and other controls that have not been updated, such as the checkout control 311d; application interface 332 is an updated order interface, including updated order information, such as order item information and the order amount (updated from ¥542 to ¥387), as well as other content that has not been updated, such as address information.

[0138] Illustratively, the difference between the application interface 331 and the application interface 311 may only be that the check control 311c in the application interface 311 is in a selected state, while the check control 331c in the application interface 331 is in an unselected state.

[0139] Exemplarily, the difference between the above-mentioned application interface 331 and the above-mentioned application interface 311 may only be that: the order information in the application interface 311 includes the product information of picture 3, the application interface 331 does not include the product information of picture 3, and the order amount of the above-mentioned application interface 331 is different from that of the above-mentioned application interface 311.

[0140] It should be understood that the embodiments of the present application are illustratively described using the example of a user canceling an item from the shopping cart interface; in other embodiments of the present application, when a user selects a new item from the shopping cart interface, the electronic device can also respond to the user operation, update the shopping cart interface and update the order interface, for example, the electronic device displays the user interface 33 shown in Figure 3C, and when a user operation on the check control 331c is detected, it displays the user interface 32 shown in Figure 3B.

[0141] In other embodiments, when the electronic device detects a user operation on a check control in the shopping cart interface, the electronic device will only update the shopping cart interface and will not update the order interface. For example, in response to a user operation on a check control 311c in the user interface 32, the electronic device may display an application interface 331 as shown in FIG3C and an application interface 320 as shown in FIG3B . Furthermore, when the electronic device receives a user operation on a settlement control 311d in the application interface 331, the electronic device will update the application interface 320 to the above-mentioned application interface 331.

[0142] In the embodiment of the present application, the electronic device can update the product status on the shopping cart interface and the order information on the order interface in response to the check-in operation on the product on the shopping cart interface. In this method, the order information on the order interface automatically updates with the product status in the shopping cart, and the user does not need to check the product on the shopping cart interface before proceeding to checkout. This method can reduce user operations and improve user experience.

[0143] In forums and video sites where comments are displayed, electronic devices typically refresh the forum content by retrieving the information at the time the user clicks on it. For example, when displaying live sports content, due to the large volume of current events and the need for timely updates, the user often exits the current interface and re-enters it to refresh. This method prevents the user from quickly and in real time refreshing the comments displayed on the electronic device, resulting in a lack of timely updates.

[0144] In an embodiment of the present application, an electronic device can display at least two display interfaces of a first application, including a first display interface and a second display interface. The content displayed on the first display interface is comments on the second display interface, and the electronic device can update the content displayed on the first display interface in real time. In this method, the electronic device can update comments such as game reviews and current events in real time without exiting the interface and re-entering the refresh function or clicking refresh. This method allows users to quickly and conveniently access information, improving user efficiency.

[0145] The specific implementation of the above electronic device updating the first display interface in real time is introduced through the following two scenarios as examples.

[0146] The first scenario: real-time comment scenario.

[0147] In some embodiments, the electronic device displays two display interfaces of the comment application through parallel perspectives, the display interfaces including a main interface and a comment interface corresponding to the main interface; the electronic device can update the content of the comment interface in real time.

[0148] The comment application may be an application where users can post comments, such as a video application or a posting application. For example, if the main interface is news, the comment interface corresponding to the main interface is the comment area of the news; for example, if the main interface is video, the comment interface corresponding to the main interface is the comment area of the video.

[0149] Optionally, when the electronic device does not display the review application through the parallel horizon, the content of the main interface and the review interface corresponding to the main interface can be the content of the same display interface of the review application.

[0150] 4A and 4B illustrate some user interfaces implemented on an electronic device in a real-time comment scenario according to an embodiment of the present application.

[0151] Figure 4A illustrates a user interface 41 on an electronic device provided by way of example in an embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 4A , user interface 41 includes an application interface 411 of a first application and an application interface 412. Application interface 411 may be the primary interface, while application interface 412 may be the comment interface of application interface 411, which is used to display comments posted by users. Application interface 411 may be the aforementioned first display interface, while application interface 412 may be the aforementioned second display interface.

[0152] For example, a user opens the display interface of a first application on a foldable device and clicks on a control related to "Live Broadcast of Men's Singles Table Tennis Match" within that display interface. Accordingly, the foldable device, in response to the user operation, displays user interface 41 as shown in FIG4A , wherein user interface 41 includes application interface 411 and application interface 412. Application interface 411 is used to display the main content of "Live Broadcast of Men's Singles Table Tennis Match," and application interface 412 is used to display comments posted by users in the comment section of "Live Broadcast of Men's Singles Table Tennis Match." For example, the foldable device may display application interface 411 on the first screen of the foldable screen and application interface 412 on the second screen, wherein the first screen and the second screen may be two screens divided along the folding edge of the foldable screen.

[0153] FIG4A exemplarily shows that the current time is “Beijing time 2023 / 4 / 20 10:16”. At this time, the comment interface (ie) is also updated to the comment content at the current time.

[0154] For example, after two minutes, the electronic device may display user interface 42 as shown in FIG4B . User interface 41 includes updated application interface 421 and updated application interface 422. The current time is "Beijing time 2023 / 4 / 20 10:18", and the display content of application interface 421 and the comments in application interface 422 are updated to the current time, i.e., "Beijing time 2023 / 4 / 20 10:18".

[0155] In other embodiments of the present application, the content of the main interface of the first application may remain unchanged, that is, the display content of the above-mentioned application interface 411 and application interface 421 may be the same, for example, the main interface of the first application is used to display a popular post or article.

[0156] In other embodiments, the content of the comment interface of the first application (such as the above-mentioned application interface 412) needs to be updated after user operation. In the embodiment of the present application, the electronic device does not require user operation and can automatically update the comment content on the comment interface of the first application in real time. This method can improve the user experience.

[0157] The second scenario: real-time hotspot scenario.

[0158] Figures 5A and 5B are some user interfaces implemented on an electronic device in a real-time hotspot scenario according to an embodiment of the present application.

[0159] First, Figure 5A illustrates a real-time hotspot scenario. For example, when a user opens a news app, the electronic device may display a user interface 51, as shown in Figure 5A. This user interface 51 exemplifies event information for a news event and current user comments. After displaying user interface 51, the electronic device will update user comments only when the user refreshes the current interface.

[0160] In an embodiment of the present application, the electronic device can display the user interface 51 shown in FIG. 5A above through a parallel field of view. As shown in FIG. 5B , the electronic device can display a user interface 52, which includes an application interface 521 and an application interface 522. Application interface 521 has the same display content and display mechanism as user interface 51. Both interfaces require user operation to update, and are used to display interfaces updated by user operation, such as the interface the user just clicked to enter or the interface updated after the user refreshes. Application interface 522 is used to display updated comments in application interface 521 in real time.

[0161] As shown in Figure 5B, assuming that it is 10:16 when the user opens the relevant interface of the XX news event of the first application, the electronic device displays the user interface 52, which includes the main interface (i.e., application interface 521) and the comment interface (application interface 522); two minutes later (i.e., 10:18), the electronic device does not receive any user operation, the electronic device can keep the main interface unchanged, and update the comment interface. For example, the user interface displayed by the electronic device can be the user interface 53 shown in Figure 5C, the user interface 53 includes the unupdated main interface (i.e., application interface 521) and the updated comment interface (i.e., application interface 530), and the comment content of the application interface 530 has been updated to the latest comments at the current time (i.e., 10:18).

[0162] Next, an embodiment of performing interface update when an electronic device displays multiple application windows is introduced.

[0163] In an embodiment of the present application, an electronic device may display multiple application windows on the same user interface. The multiple application windows may be application windows corresponding to different applications, for example, a first application window (also referred to as a first window) corresponding to a first application and a second application window (also referred to as a second window) corresponding to a second application; when the electronic device detects a first user operation on the first application window, it may update the display content of the first application window and the second application window in response to the first user operation. The multiple application windows may include floating windows and / or split-screen windows. The first application may also be referred to as a second application, and the second application may also be referred to as a third application.

[0164] Optionally, the first user operation may be a user operation for instructing the first application to search for the first search term. In response to the first user operation, the electronic device may search for the first search term through the first application and the second application, and further update the display content of the first application window to an interface including the search results of the first application, and update the display content of the second application window to an interface including the search results of the second application.

[0165] Optionally, the first user operation may be a user operation for instructing the first application to refresh the first application window. Then, the electronic device may refresh the display content of the first application window and the second application window in response to the first user operation.

[0166] In the embodiment of the present application, the first user operation may also be an operation such as clearing the input field, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application. The following embodiment is illustratively described using a search operation as an example.

[0167] In one implementation, the electronic device displaying multiple application windows may be opening multiple applications through a split-screen function (or a smart multi-screen function). Optionally, the electronic device may be a folding device. For example, when the folding screen of the folding device is a two-screen folding screen, the folding device may display the application windows of two applications on the two screens on both sides of the folding edge respectively; for another example, when the folding screen of the folding device is a three-screen folding screen, the folding device may display the application windows of three applications on the three screens respectively.

[0168] In another implementation, the electronic device may display multiple application windows by opening multiple applications through a floating window function. That is, the application windows of multiple applications are all floating window windows. For example, reference may be made to the user interface 60a shown in (A) of FIG6A , which exemplarily shows an interface diagram of the electronic device when the application windows of three applications, application A, application B, and application C, are opened respectively through a floating window function on the desktop of the electronic device. The application windows of these three applications are used to display the display interface of application A, the display interface of application B, and the display interface of application C, respectively. These three application windows are all floating windows.

[0169] Optionally, floating windows can also be associated with each other. As shown in Figure 6A, the floating windows in user interface 60a may further include function controls 601 and 602. Function controls 601 and 602 are used to associate at least two application windows among the application windows of three applications: Application A, Application B, and Application C. For example, when the electronic device detects a user operation on function control 601, it sets the application windows of the three applications to a selectable state so that the user can select the window to be associated. For specific steps on how to control function controls 601 and 602 to achieve window association, please refer to the specific process of using function control 611 in Figures 6B to 6G below.

[0170] In another implementation, the above-mentioned display of multiple application windows can be to open at least one application through the floating window function, and to open at least one application through the split-screen function. For example, please refer to the user interface b shown in (B) in Figure 6A, which exemplarily shows the application windows of four applications, namely, application A, application B, application C, and application D, wherein the application windows of application A, application B, and application C are split-screen windows opened through the split-screen function; the application window of application D is a floating window opened through the floating window function, and the application window of application D floats above the application windows of application A, application B, and application C, and its position can be moved at will.

[0171] Optionally, floating windows and split-screen windows can also be associated. As shown in Figure 6A, the floating windows in user interface 60a can also include function controls 603 and 604, and application B and application C can also include a function control (not shown). Among them, function controls 603 and 604 are used to associate at least two application windows among the application windows of application A, application B, application C, and application D. For specific steps on how to control function controls 603 and 604 to achieve window association, please refer to the specific process of using function control 611 in Figures 6B to 6G below.

[0172] The second application window may be part or all of the application windows except the first application window among the multiple application windows.

[0173] In one implementation, the second application window is all application windows except the first application window among the multiple application windows. For example, the electronic device can display multiple application windows of different applications on the screen; when the electronic device detects a user operation on any application window, it updates the display content of all application windows displayed on the screen in response to the user operation.

[0174] In another implementation, the second application window is a portion of the multiple application windows excluding the first application window. Optionally, the second application window may be an application window associated with the first application window. For example, an electronic device may display application windows corresponding to M applications on a screen, where N application windows of the M applications are associated with each other, where M and N are both positive integers and N is not greater than M. When the electronic device detects a user operation on any of the N application windows, it updates the display content of the N interfaces in response to the user operation.

[0175] First, two association methods of associated application windows are exemplarily introduced.

[0176] The first association method: The electronic device displays application windows corresponding to multiple applications based on the split-screen function; when an association operation is detected for multiple application windows, the multiple application windows are determined to be associated application windows. It should be noted that the association implementation of the floating window and the split-screen window, as well as the association implementation between floating windows, can refer to the association process provided in the following embodiments, and this embodiment of the application is not limited to this.

[0177] 6B to 6G are some user interfaces for implementing associated application windows on an electronic device provided by an embodiment of the present application.

[0178] Figure 6B is a user interface 61 on an electronic device provided by way of example in an embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 6B, user interface 61 includes an application window for application A, an application window for application B, and an application window for application C, which are used to display the application interface of application A, the application interface of application B, and the application interface of application C, respectively.

[0179] A function control 611 is displayed between the application window of application A and the application window of application B; and a function control 612 is displayed between the application window of application B and the application window of application C.

[0180] As shown in FIG6B , when the electronic device detects a user operation on a function control 611 , it may display a user interface 62 as shown in FIG6C . The user interface 62 includes an associated control 620 .

[0181] It should be noted that when the electronic device detects a user operation on the function control 612, it can also display the user interface 62; the electronic device can also display the user interface 62 in other ways, such as long pressing the application window of application A, the application window of application B, and any application window of application C, etc. The embodiments of the present application do not limit this.

[0182] As shown in FIG6C , when the electronic device detects a user operation on an associated control 620, it may display a user interface 63 as shown in FIG6D . User interface 63 includes three application windows in a selected state. It should be understood that FIG6D exemplarily uses gray to represent a selected state and white to represent an unselected state. In actual applications, a selected state may also be represented by checking a control, etc., and this embodiment of the present application is not limited to this.

[0183] As shown in Figure 6D, when the electronic device detects a user operation on the application interface of application C, the electronic device can display a user interface 64 as shown in Figure 6E, in which the application window of application C is unselected, and the application window of application A and the application window of application B are selected.

[0184] As shown in FIG6E , when the electronic device detects a user operation on the association control 620 , the electronic device determines the application window of application A and the application window of application B as associated application windows.

[0185] For example, assume that the interface displayed by the application window of application A is application interface 651 shown in Figure 6F, the interface displayed by the application window of application B is application interface 652 shown in Figure 6F, and the interface displayed by the application window of application C is application interface 653 shown in Figure 6F.

[0186] Among them, the application interface 651 includes an input bar 651A and a preview area 651B, the input bar 651A includes the search term "children's gifts", the input bar 651A includes a search control 651a, and the preview area 651B is used to display the display data of application A; the application interface 652 includes an input bar 652A and a preview area 652B, the input bar 652A is used to input the search term, and the preview area 652B is used to display the display data of the commercial application B; the application interface 653 includes an input bar 653A and a preview area 653B, the input bar 653A is used to input the search term, and the preview area 653B is used to display the display data of application C.

[0187] As shown in Figure 6F , when the electronic device detects a user operation on the search control 651a in the application interface 651, the electronic device can search for the search term "children's gifts" through application A and application B respectively, and then update the interfaces displayed in the application windows of application A and application B. For example, the electronic device displays user interface 66 as shown in Figure 6G , which includes the updated display interface of application A (i.e., application interface 661), the updated display interface of application B (i.e., application interface 662), and the non-updated display interface of application C (i.e., application interface 653).

[0188] Among them, the application interface 661 includes an input bar 651A and a preview area 661B, and the preview area 661B is used to display the search results of application A for "children's gifts"; the application interface 662 includes an input bar 662A and a preview area 662B, and the input bar 662A includes the search term "children's gifts", and the preview area 662B is used to display the search results of application B for "children's gifts".

[0189] The second association method: The electronic device determines the application window of the selected application as the associated application window based on the global search function. The selected application window can be displayed in a split-screen manner or in a floating window, which is not limited in this embodiment of the application.

[0190] 7A to 7D are some user interfaces for implementing associated application windows on an electronic device provided by an embodiment of the present application.

[0191] Figure 7A illustrates a user interface 71 on the negative first screen of an electronic device, exemplarily provided in an embodiment of the present application. For example, the electronic device displays a home screen. In response to a user swiping left on the home screen, the negative first screen, such as user interface 71, is displayed. User interface 71 includes an input field 711 and a display area 712, wherein input field 711 includes an expand control 711a; display area 712 is used to display card information, etc.

[0192] As shown in FIG. 7A , when the electronic device detects a user operation for expanding a control 711 a in an input field 711 , the electronic device may display a user interface 72 as shown in FIG. 7B in response to the user operation.

[0193] FIG7B is an exemplary user interface 72 for a shopping category provided in an embodiment of the present application. The user interface 72 includes category icons, such as an icon 722A for the shopping category, an icon 722B for the video category, an icon 722C for the taxi category, an icon 722D for the browser category, and an icon 722E for a custom application; and an input field 721 including a search control 721a.

[0194] As shown in FIG7B , user interface 72 exemplarily shows that the search scope under the shopping category is App A, App B, and App C. App A, App B, and App C are all shopping apps. If a global search is performed on user interface 72, App A, App B, and App C will all be searched for the content entered in input field 721. In other words, the application windows of App A, App B, and App C are associated application windows.

[0195] For example, the user enters "children's gifts" in the input bar 721 and clicks the search control 721a; the electronic device responds to the above user operation and searches for "children's gifts" through application A, application B and application C respectively, and then the electronic device can display the user interface 73 shown in Figure 7C.

[0196] The user interface 73 may include an application interface 731 of application A, an application interface 732 of application B, and an application interface 733 of application C; wherein, application interface 731, application interface 732, and application interface 733 are respectively used to display the search results of application A, application B, and application C for "children's gifts".

[0197] In other embodiments, the electronic device may provide a function of selecting applications, and further, in response to a user's selection operation on several applications, determine several applications as associated applications.

[0198] For example, a user may click on icon 722E in user interface 72 shown in FIG7B , and accordingly, the electronic device displays user interface 74 shown in FIG7D in response to the user operation. User interface 74 may include category icons, input field 721, and custom scope 741. The category icons include icons 740E corresponding to custom applications.

[0199] Custom range 741 may include several application icons, such as icon 741A for application A, icon 741B for application B, icon 741C for application C, and icon 741D for application D; as well as selection control 741E. Selection control 741E is used to select an application not displayed on the interface. It is understood that the interface area of user interface 74 is limited in size, and if not all application icons can be displayed, the electronic device may, in response to a user operation on selection control 741E, display application icons, including those not displayed on user interface 74, for the user to select.

[0200] For example, the application icon displayed in the custom range 741 in FIG. 7D is in an unselected state. The electronic device may display the application icon in a selected state in response to a user operation on the application icon. For example, the selected state may be represented by the icon being gray or another color. The application of the selected application icon is the application within the search range, and the application window of the selected application icon is the associated application window.

[0201] It should be noted that the application windows in the user interfaces of Figures 8A to 10B below can be application windows based on the two associations mentioned above; or they can be application windows that have not been associated, that is, when the electronic device detects user operations on any application window on the interface, it performs the same operations on the application window displayed on the interface.

[0202] Next, an embodiment of interface updating when displaying multiple application windows is exemplarily introduced.

[0203] Optionally, the multiple application windows may be application windows of the same type of application. Applications of the same type may refer to applications with the same functionality. For example, applications with a shopping function may be of the same type, or applications with a taxi-hailing function may be of the same type. It should be noted that the present embodiment of the application does not limit the classification method of application types.

[0204] For example, in a shopping scenario, a user can open multiple shopping applications, so the electronic device can simultaneously display the application windows of multiple shopping applications on the user interface; for another example, in a web search scenario, a user can open multiple browsers or question-and-answer applications, so the electronic device can simultaneously display the application windows of multiple browsers or question-and-answer applications on the user interface; for another example, in a video watching scenario, a user can open multiple video software, so the electronic device can simultaneously display the application windows of multiple video applications on the user interface; for another example, in a taxi-hailing scenario, a user can open multiple taxi-hailing applications, so the electronic device can simultaneously display the application windows of multiple taxi-hailing applications. It should be understood that the above examples of application scenarios provided for the embodiments of the present application should not constitute a limitation of the present application, and the present application can also be applied to other application scenarios.

[0205] The following exemplifies an embodiment of interface display when an application of the same type uses a search engine.

[0206] The following is an illustrative example of an embodiment of searching in a shopping scenario.

[0207] In some embodiments, the electronic device can display the display interfaces of at least two shopping applications; the electronic device can search through the at least two shopping applications in response to a user operation acting on the display interface of one of the at least two shopping applications; and then, the search results obtained by the at least two shopping applications are respectively displayed on their corresponding display interfaces.

[0208] The following is an illustrative introduction using three shopping applications as examples. Figures 8A and 8B are some user interfaces for searching in a shopping scenario on an electronic device provided by an embodiment of the present application.

[0209] Figure 8A is a user interface 81 on an electronic device provided by an example embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 8A, the user interface 81 includes an application interface 811 corresponding to shopping application A, an application interface 812 corresponding to shopping application B, and an application interface 813 corresponding to shopping application C.

[0210] Among them, the application interface 811 includes an input bar 811A and a preview area 811B, the input bar 811A is used to input search terms, the input bar 811A includes a search control 811a, and the preview area 811B is used to display product information, etc.; the application interface 812 includes an input bar 812A and a preview area 812B, the input bar 812A is used to input search terms, and the preview area 812B is used to display product information, etc.; the application interface 813 includes an input bar 813A and a preview area 813B, the input bar 813A is used to input search terms, and the preview area 813B is used to display product information, etc.

[0211] For example, the input bar 812A and the input bar 813A in Figure 8A contain blank content. In other embodiments of the present application, the input content of the input bar 812A and the input bar 813A may still be the input content of the user's last operation; the input content of the input bar 812A and the input bar 813A may be the same or different, which is not limited here.

[0212] In one possible implementation, the user enters the search word "clothing" in the input bar 811A of the application interface 811 and clicks the search control 811a. Accordingly, the electronic device responds to the user operation and displays the user interface 82 as shown in Figure 8B. The user interface 82 includes an application interface 821 corresponding to shopping application A, an application interface 822 corresponding to shopping application B, and an application interface 823 corresponding to shopping application C.

[0213] Among them, the application interface 822 includes an input bar 811A and a preview area 821B, and the preview area 821B is used to display the product information after the search, etc.; the application interface 822 includes an input bar 822A and a preview area 822B, and the input bar 822A displays the search word "clothing", and the preview area 822B is used to display the product information after the search, etc.; the application interface 823 includes an input bar 823A and a preview area 823B, and the input bar 823A displays the search word "clothing", and the preview area 823B is used to display the product information after the search, etc.

[0214] As shown in Figures 8A and 8B, the electronic device responds to the search operation for the search word "clothing" acting on the application interface 811, and searches for the search word "clothing" through shopping application A, shopping application B and shopping application C at the same time, and displays the display interface after the search through the application windows of shopping application A, shopping application B and shopping application C respectively. The display interface after the search of shopping application A is application interface 821, the display interface after the search of shopping application B is application interface 822, and the display interface after the search of shopping application C is application interface 823.

[0215] In other embodiments, when the electronic device detects a search operation for the search word "clothing" on the application interface 811 shown in Figure 8A, in response to the user operation, the electronic device will only search for the search word "clothing" through the shopping application A, and then only update the display content of the application window of the shopping application A, and will not update the display content of other application windows. For example, in response to the user operation, the electronic device displays an interface including the display interface of the application window of the updated shopping application A (such as application interface 821) and the display interfaces of other application windows that are not updated (such as application interface 812 and application interface 813).

[0216] In the embodiment of the present application, the electronic device can display multiple shopping application interfaces; in response to a user operation on any of the displayed interfaces, the electronic device can simultaneously search through multiple shopping applications and display search results from multiple shopping applications. This method can meet the needs of users who want to search through multiple shopping applications and effectively improve the user experience.

[0217] The following is an illustrative introduction to an embodiment in a web page search scenario.

[0218] In some embodiments, the electronic device can display application windows of at least two browsers, such as an application window of a first browser and an application window of a second browser; when the electronic device detects a search operation for one of the application windows, it searches through the at least two browsers; and then, the search results obtained by the search are displayed respectively through the application windows of the at least two browsers.
