[0047] The following describes in detail embodiments of the present disclosure, examples of which are shown in the accompanying drawings, wherein the same or similar reference numerals throughout represent the same or similar elements or elements having the same or similar functions. The embodiments described below with reference to the accompanying drawings are exemplary and are intended to be used to explain the present disclosure, and should not be construed as limiting the present disclosure.
[0048] The following describes, with reference to the accompanying drawings, a design method, system, storage medium, electronic device, computer program product, and computer program for photovoltaic modules that facilitate recycling, according to embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0049] FIG1 is a flow chart of a method for designing a photovoltaic module for facilitating recycling and disposal, according to an embodiment of the first aspect of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG1 , the method includes the following steps S101 to S103 .
[0050] Step S101: Determine the cell laying area in the photovoltaic module.
[0051] Among them, the cell laying area refers to the area on the back panel or glass cover of the photovoltaic module where multiple cells are arranged and wired, which is determined according to the application requirements and packaging method of the photovoltaic module.
[0052] Specifically, the overall area required to lay the cell structure on the backsheet or glass cover of the PV module, known as the cell laying area, is determined based on factors such as the PV module production plan and the operating requirements of the PV module in different application scenarios. This area includes the area occupied by the individual cells and other components in the cell structure, as well as the gaps between these components. The specific cell structure will be described later.
[0053] Furthermore, on the surface of the back plate or the glass cover plate, the area other than the cell laying area is the non-cell area where the cell structure does not need to be laid.
[0054] Step S102: with the goal of reducing the area where the cell laying area is bonded to the encapsulation film, a strategy for arranging the encapsulation film in the cell laying area is determined, and the encapsulation film is arranged in the corresponding area according to the strategy.
[0055] The packaging film used in the embodiments of the present disclosure may be made of various materials including, but not limited to, ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) and ethylene octene copolymer (POE).
[0056] Specifically, the photovoltaic modules designed in the disclosed embodiments achieve the goal of facilitating disassembly and reducing recycling costs during recycling by reducing the amount of encapsulating film used during the module packaging process and the bonding area between the encapsulating film and components such as solar cells. During implementation, a strategy for placing the encapsulating film in the solar cell placement area can be determined based on actual circumstances, and then the encapsulating film can be placed in the solar cell placement area and / or non-solar cell areas based on the determined strategy. Several of these embodiments are described below as examples.
[0057] As a first example, a strategy for arranging the encapsulation film in the cell laying area is determined, and the encapsulation film is arranged on the corresponding area according to the strategy, including: determining the non-cell area other than the cell laying area in the photovoltaic module, and arranging the encapsulation film only in the non-cell area to reduce the area to zero.
[0058] Specifically, in some embodiments, the total area of the top surface of the photovoltaic module's backsheet or glass cover is first subtracted from the cell-laying area determined in the above step to obtain a non-cell area where the cell structure is not laid. Then, as shown in FIG2 , EVA encapsulant film is applied only to the non-cell area 12 of the panel or glass cover 10 in the module, while no EVA encapsulant film is applied to the cell-laying area 11.
[0059] In some embodiments, a cell structure is laid in the cell laying area, the cell structure including: multiple rows of cells, multiple bus bars and multiple welding strips corresponding to each row of cells; the laid photovoltaic components are laminated so that the encapsulation film is bonded to the corresponding area.
[0060] Specifically, after arranging the encapsulation film, the cell arrangement is completed in the cell laying area, that is, the cell structure is laid in the cell laying area. As shown in Figure 3, the cell structure includes multiple rows of cells, each row of cells includes multiple cells 21, and each row of cells corresponds to multiple welding ribbons 22. Figure 3 uses two rows as an example for illustration. The welding ribbons 22 are used to connect the multiple cells 21 in the corresponding rows together. Multiple rows of cells can correspond to a bus bar 23, that is, multiple rows of cells are connected to a corresponding bus bar 23. Figure 3 uses two rows of cells connected to a bus bar 23 as an example for illustration. The bus bar 23 is used to converge and output the current output by the multiple rows of cells.
[0061] Among them, the battery cell structure in the embodiment of the present disclosure includes parameters such as the number of rows of battery cells, the number of battery cells in each row of battery cells, the number of welding strips, the number of bus bars and the type of battery cells, which can all be set according to actual needs.
[0062] It should be noted that the order of arranging the EVA encapsulation film and laying the battery cell structure in the embodiment can be determined according to actual packaging needs, and this disclosure does not limit this. In some embodiments, the EVA encapsulation film is only arranged in the non-battery cell area 12.
[0063] Thus, the disclosed embodiments reduce the amount of EVA film used during the module packaging process by only applying the EVA film to a portion of the backsheet. This reduces the cost of photovoltaic module packaging and also achieves the following benefits during module recycling: First, during the recycling process, the use of chemical reagents to swell or pyrolyze the EVA film at high temperatures reduces the amount of EVA film used in the module itself, thereby saving on chemical reagents consumed for recycling and shortening the time required for pyrolysis, thereby reducing the cost and time required for module recycling. Second, since the area where the cells are applied is not bonded to the EVA film, the cells will not break during the swelling process, ensuring the integrity of the cells and reducing damage to the cells during the recycling process. Third, since the glass and backsheet of the photovoltaic module are bonded only at the edges, they are easier to disassemble, improving the convenience of module recycling. Fourth, since the damage to the cells is minimal, it is beneficial to achieve high-quality and high-purity recovery of the silicon material and precious metals contained in the cells.
[0064] As a second example, a strategy for arranging the encapsulation film in the battery cell laying area is determined, and the encapsulation film is arranged in the corresponding area according to the strategy, including: cross-linking the encapsulation film pre-planned to be arranged in the battery cell laying area; arranging the encapsulation film that has undergone the cross-linking reaction in the battery cell laying area, and arranging the encapsulation film that has not undergone the cross-linking reaction in the non-battery cell area.
[0065] Specifically, in some embodiments, an EVA encapsulation film is used to cover the entire backplane or glass cover, but the EVA encapsulation film used has the following characteristics: As shown in FIG4 , the encapsulation film corresponding to the cell laying area 11 has completed a cross-linking reaction before the cell laying (i.e., the EVA cross-linked portion 11 shown in the figure), and the encapsulation film in the non-cell area 12 outside the cell coverage area has not undergone a cross-linking reaction (i.e., the EVA uncross-linked portion 12 shown in the figure). The cross-linking reaction is to bond and cross-link the molecules in the EVA encapsulation film to each other to form a relatively stable molecular network structure, thereby increasing the strength of the cross-linked EVA encapsulation film and preventing adhesion.
[0066] In some embodiments, a cell structure is laid in the cell laying area. The composition and laying method of the cell structure in the embodiments can refer to the relevant description of the first example above and will not be repeated here. In some embodiments, the assembly after laying the cell structure in the cell laying area is shown in Figure 5, where the cell structure is laid on the area where the EVA encapsulation film has been cross-linked.
[0067] Therefore, with the design approach of the second example, after the photovoltaic module is subsequently laminated, the encapsulant films above and below the cell-laying area 11 are not bonded to the individual cells in that area, but only serve as support and cushioning. The encapsulant films outside the non-cell area 12, however, bond the glass cover and backsheet together, ensuring the module's airtightness.
[0068] Therefore, the disclosed embodiment can achieve the following effects during the component recycling process by cross-linking the encapsulation film in the cell laying area: First, since the cell laying area is not bonded to the EVA encapsulation film, the cell will not be broken during the swelling process of the EVA encapsulation film, thereby ensuring the integrity of the cell and reducing the damage to the cell caused by the recycling process. Second, since only the edge areas of the glass and back panel of the photovoltaic module are bonded together, they are easier to disassemble, which improves the convenience of component recycling. Third, since the damage to the cell is relatively small, it is conducive to the high-quality and high-purity recovery of the silicon material and precious metals contained in the cell.
[0069] As a third example, a strategy for arranging the encapsulation film in the cell laying area is determined, and the encapsulation film is arranged on the corresponding area according to the strategy, including: determining the cell gap in the cell laying area; and arranging the encapsulation film in the cell gap and non-cell area.
[0070] Specifically, in some embodiments, by adopting a packaging process using local EVA packaging film, the packaging film is used to bond the back panel and the front glass of the photovoltaic module together outside the area covered by the cell and in the middle of the gaps between each cell, while the individual cells in the cell laying area and the glass and back panel in the photovoltaic module are not bonded together by the EVA packaging film.
[0071] During implementation, the cell arrangement is pre-defined, and the gaps between adjacent cells in each row are determined. Furthermore, as shown in FIG6 , the non-cell area 12 and the cell gap area 13 on the backplane or glass cover are used as the EVA encapsulation film layout area 14, while the remaining cell-laying area is used as the non-EVA encapsulation film layout area 15.
[0072] In some embodiments, the individual cells in the cell structure are laid in the area 15 where the EVA encapsulation film is not arranged. The composition and laying method of the cell structure in the embodiment can refer to the relevant description in the first example above and will not be repeated here. In some embodiments, the assembly after laying the cell structure in the cell laying area is shown in Figure 7, where the EVA encapsulation film is arranged in the non-cell area 12 and the cell gap area 13, and the individual cells are laid in the area where the EVA encapsulation film is not arranged.
[0073] Therefore, the embodiment of the present disclosure can achieve the following effects during the component recycling process by arranging EVA encapsulation film only at the edge of the back plate or glass cover plate, and in the gaps between each cell: First, since the individual cells in the cell laying area are not bonded to the EVA encapsulation film, the cell will not be broken during the swelling process of the EVA encapsulation film, thereby ensuring the integrity of the cell and reducing the damage to the cell caused by the recycling process. Second, since only local areas such as the edge area and the gap area between the glass and the back plate of the photovoltaic module are bonded together, it is easier to disassemble, which improves the convenience of component recycling. Third, since the damage to the cell is relatively small, it is conducive to the high-quality and high-purity recovery of the silicon material and precious metals contained in the cell.
[0074] As a fourth example, a strategy for arranging the encapsulation film in the battery cell laying area is determined, and the encapsulation film is arranged on the corresponding area according to the strategy, including: determining multiple target areas for arranging the encapsulation film in the battery cell laying area, the total area of the multiple target areas being smaller than the area of the battery cell laying area; and arranging the encapsulation film in the multiple target areas and non-battery cell areas.
[0075] Specifically, in some embodiments, a localized EVA encapsulation film encapsulation process is employed to bond the photovoltaic module backsheet and front glass together using EVA encapsulation film outside the area covered by the cells. Simultaneously, EVA encapsulation film is used to bond localized areas on each cell to the photovoltaic module backsheet and front glass together in multiple localized areas within the cell laying area. The total area of the various areas within the cell laying area where the EVA encapsulation film is applied is smaller than the area of the cell laying area, meaning that the EVA encapsulation film is applied only to a small portion of the cell laying area.
[0076] In specific implementations, in some embodiments, as shown in FIG8 , rectangular areas for placing EVA encapsulating film can be set at the locations occupied by each cell row, thereby generating multiple long, strip-shaped target areas for placing encapsulating film within the cell placement area. This allows the non-cell area 12 and multiple target areas 16 on the backplane or glass cover to serve as areas 17 for placing EVA encapsulating film, while the remaining areas serve as areas 18 where EVA encapsulating film will not be placed. In other embodiments of the present disclosure, target areas of other shapes and sizes can also be set based on actual needs.
[0077] In some embodiments, a cell structure is laid. The composition and laying method of the cell structure in some embodiments can refer to the relevant description of the first example above and will not be repeated here. In some embodiments, the assembly after laying the cell structure in the cell laying area is shown in FIG9 . EVA encapsulation film is placed on the non-cell area 12 of the backplane or glass cover and the multiple target areas 16, and no EVA encapsulation film is placed on other areas.
[0078] Thus, by placing the EVA encapsulating film only on the edges of the backsheet or glass cover, and in a number of designated localized areas, the disclosed embodiments achieve the following benefits during module recycling: First, compared to conventional designs that place the EVA encapsulating film on the entire backsheet, the disclosed embodiments place the EVA encapsulating film only on these localized areas, resulting in a relatively small amount of EVA encapsulating film used in the module itself. This saves on chemical reagents consumed for recycling, shortens the time required for pyrolysis of the film, and reduces the cost and time required for module recycling. Second, because only a small number of localized areas of each cell in the cell laying area are bonded to the EVA encapsulating film, the swelling of the EVA encapsulating film will essentially prevent the cell from breaking, ensuring the integrity of the cell and reducing damage to the cell during the recycling process. Third, because only localized areas such as the edges and the current area between the glass and backsheet of the photovoltaic module are bonded together, they are easier to disassemble, improving the convenience of module recycling. Fourth, because the damage to the cell is minimal, it is conducive to achieving high-quality, high-purity recovery of the silicon material and precious metals contained in the cell.
[0079] Furthermore, after arranging the packaging film on the corresponding areas through the above-mentioned examples, in order to ensure the normal use of the photovoltaic module, in one embodiment of the present disclosure, after completing the laying of all layers included in the photovoltaic module in sequence, for example, arranging the bus wires on the packaging film, and completing the laying of the final backboard or glass cover, it also includes laminating the laid photovoltaic module to make the packaging film bonded to the corresponding area.
[0080] Specifically, lamination refers to combining the layers of a photovoltaic module that are laid out sequentially into a whole by heating or pressurizing. The disclosed embodiments utilize lamination to directly contact each cell in the module with the busbars in the wiring board to achieve electrical connection. Furthermore, lamination also bonds the arranged encapsulating film to the components on the corresponding areas, such as the edges of the backplane and glass cover in the above-mentioned embodiments, as well as localized areas on each cell, to ensure the airtightness of the module and other application requirements of the module.
[0081] Step S103: filling the area of the photovoltaic module where no encapsulation film is arranged with protective gas.
[0082] Specifically, because the interior of the photovoltaic module designed in the embodiments of the present disclosure is not completely filled with the encapsulant film, in order to ensure the normal application requirements of the photovoltaic module and protect the individual cells within the module to avoid accidents caused by insufficient bonding, the embodiments of the present disclosure also fill the areas of the photovoltaic module where the encapsulant film is not disposed. The areas where the encapsulant film is not disposed are determined according to the several design methods shown in the above embodiments, and the type of protective gas can be selected according to actual needs.
[0083] For example, the protective gas may include an inert gas or hydrogen, and the inert gas includes but is not limited to nitrogen, helium, and argon. It is understood that the filled protective gas will not cause adhesion or other effects on the cells in the module, which is conducive to the recycling of photovoltaic modules.
[0084] Therefore, the embodiment of the present disclosure can ensure the safety and application requirements of the photovoltaic module while facilitating the recycling of the module by filling the protective gas into the area where the packaging film is not arranged in the photovoltaic module.
[0085] In summary, the design method of a photovoltaic module that is easy to recycle and process according to the embodiment of the present disclosure is such that the interior of the designed photovoltaic module is not completely filled with the encapsulation film, and the area inside the module that is not filled with the encapsulation film is filled with an inert gas or hydrogen to protect the battery cells. Thus, on the basis of meeting the application requirements of photovoltaic modules, this method improves the convenience and economy of the photovoltaic module in the recycling process by reducing the amount of encapsulation film used and the bonding area during the module packaging process, thereby improving the recycling efficiency of the photovoltaic module. Moreover, the module designed by this method is not likely to cause damage to components such as battery cells during the recycling process, which is conducive to the high-quality and high-purity recovery of precious materials in the module. Furthermore, the consumption of chemical reagents and the waste generated during the recycling process are reduced, thereby reducing the cost of module recycling.
[0086] To implement the above-mentioned embodiments, a second aspect of the present disclosure provides a system for designing photovoltaic modules for easy recycling. FIG10 is a schematic diagram of the structure of a system for designing photovoltaic modules for easy recycling, as provided in an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG10 , the system includes a determination module 100, a placement module 200, and a filling module 300.
[0087] The determination module 100 is used to determine the cell laying area in the photovoltaic module.
[0088] The arrangement module 200 is used to determine a strategy for arranging the encapsulation film in the cell laying area with the goal of reducing the area where the cell laying area is bonded to the encapsulation film, and arrange the encapsulation film in the corresponding area according to the strategy.
[0089] The filling module 300 is used to fill the protective gas into the area of the photovoltaic module where the packaging film is not arranged.
[0090] In some embodiments, in one embodiment of the present disclosure, the arrangement module 200 is specifically used to: determine the non-cell area in the photovoltaic module except the cell laying area, and arrange the packaging film only in the non-cell area to reduce the area to zero.
[0091] In some embodiments, in one embodiment of the present disclosure, the arrangement module 200 is specifically used to: perform a cross-linking reaction on the packaging film pre-planned to be arranged in the battery cell laying area; arrange the packaging film that has undergone the cross-linking reaction in the battery cell laying area, and arrange the packaging film that has not undergone the cross-linking reaction in the non-battery cell area.
[0092] In some embodiments, in one embodiment of the present disclosure, the arrangement module 200 is specifically used to: determine the cell gaps in the cell laying area; and arrange the encapsulation film in the cell gaps and non-cell areas.
[0093] In some embodiments, in one embodiment of the present disclosure, the arrangement module 200 is specifically used to: determine multiple target areas for arranging the encapsulation film in the battery cell laying area, and the sum of the areas of the multiple target areas is smaller than the area of the battery cell laying area; and arrange the encapsulation film in the multiple target areas and non-battery cell areas.
[0094] In some embodiments, in one embodiment of the present disclosure, the system further includes a laying module, which is specifically used to: lay a cell structure in the cell laying area, the cell structure including: multiple rows of cells, multiple bus bars and multiple welding strips corresponding to each row of cells; and laminate the laid photovoltaic modules to bond the encapsulation film to the corresponding area.
[0095] It should be noted that the aforementioned explanation of the embodiment of the design method for photovoltaic components that are easy to recycle and process is also applicable to the system of this embodiment and will not be repeated here.
[0096] In summary, the design system of photovoltaic modules that are easy to recycle and process according to the embodiment of the present disclosure is such that the interior of the designed photovoltaic modules is not completely filled with the encapsulation film, and the areas inside the modules that are not filled with the encapsulation film are filled with inert gas or hydrogen to protect the cells. Thus, on the basis of meeting the application requirements of photovoltaic modules, the system improves the convenience and economy of the photovoltaic modules in the recycling process by reducing the amount of encapsulation film used and the bonding area during the module packaging process, thereby improving the recycling efficiency of photovoltaic modules. Moreover, the modules designed by the system are not prone to damage to components such as cells during the recycling process, which is conducive to the high-quality and high-purity recycling of precious materials in the modules. Furthermore, the consumption of chemical reagents and the waste generated during the recycling process are reduced, thereby reducing the cost of module recycling.
[0097] In order to implement the above embodiments, the third aspect of the present disclosure proposes a non-temporary computer-readable storage medium on which a computer program is stored.
