[0011] Embodiment 1. An example of an air conditioning control device mounting structure for mounting an air conditioning control device on a wall according to embodiment 1 will be described. First, an example of an air conditioning control device to be mounted on a wall will be described.

[0012] 1, 2, and 3, the display panel 3 and a main board 27 serving as a control unit are housed within the housing 7 of the air conditioning control device 1. The housing 7 includes a front cover member 9 and a rear cover member 21. The front cover member 9 includes a front cover member 11a and a side cover member 11b.

[0013] The front cover member 11a is located at the front when the air conditioning control device 1 is viewed from the front, and is arranged to cover the outer periphery of the display panel 3. The side cover member 11b is located between the front cover member 11a and the wall 31, and is arranged to cover the air conditioning control device 1 that protrudes from the wall 31 (see FIG. 5). The side cover member 11b includes a lower side cover member 11ba and an upper side cover member 11bb that face each other in the vertical direction.

[0014] The rear cover member 21 has a back cover member 23 a and a service cover member 23 b. The back cover member 23 a is arranged to cover a main board 27 serving as a control unit. The service cover member 23 b is arranged to cover a power supply board section 25 that supplies power to the main board 27.

[0015] 2 and 4, the air conditioning control device 1 has a recessed portion 13 on the lower side cover member 11ba of the front cover member 9 that is recessed toward the display panel 3. A mounting portion 14 (see FIG. 6) for mounting the air conditioning control device 1 on a wall is disposed in the recessed portion 13. As will be described later, the mounting portion 14 includes a support member 43, a mounting metal plate 17a, and a fixing screw 19 (see FIG. 6).

[0016] Next, an example of a state (mounting structure) in which the above-mentioned air conditioning control device 1 is mounted on a wall will be described. Here, as shown in Fig. 5, a wall 31 having a wall main body 35 and a front board 33 will be described as an example of the wall 31 to which the air conditioning control device 1 is mounted. The front board 33 is disposed with a gap between it and the wall main body 35. The air conditioning control device 1 is mounted to the front board 33 by the mounting parts 14 in a manner that it is embedded in an opening 37 (see Fig. 6) formed in the front board 33.

[0017] When the air conditioning control device 1 attached to the front board 33 (wall 31) is viewed from the front, the mounting portion 14 is located behind the front cover member 11a. The mounting portion 14 is positioned so as not to be visible when the air conditioning control device 1 is viewed from the front. As shown in Fig. 6, the mounting portion 14 is located in a recessed portion 13 provided in the lower side cover member 11ba. The mounting portion 14 includes a support member 43, a mounting metal plate 17a as a supported member, and a fixing screw 19 as a fastening member.

[0018] The support member 43 is provided on a first wall-mounting metal plate 41 attached to the front side of the front board 33. The support member 43 has openings (not shown) through which fixing screws are inserted. The mounting metal plate 17a is an example of a mounting metal plate 17 supported by the support member 43, and is provided on the air conditioning control device 1. The support member 43 is attached to the front board 33 (wall 31) so as to slope upward from the wall. The mounting metal plate 17a is formed so as to slope upward in a manner supported by the support member 43. Screw holes (not shown) are formed in the mounting metal plate 17a. Fixing screws 19 fix the mounting metal plate 17a to the support member 43.

[0019] Next, an example of a process for attaching the air conditioning control device 1 to the wall 31 will be described. As shown in Figure 7, first, an opening 37 penetrating the front board 33 is formed in the front board 33. Next, a first wall-mounting metal plate 41, a second wall-mounting metal plate 49, and screws 51 are prepared. The first wall-mounting metal plate 41 is formed to fit along the opening 37. The first wall-mounting metal plate 41 is provided with a support member 43 and a hook portion 45. The second wall-mounting metal plate 49 is formed to fit along the opening 37.

[0020] Next, the first wall-mounting metal plate 41 and the second wall-mounting metal plate 49 are attached to the front board 33. The first wall-mounting metal plate 41 is placed on the front side of the front board 33. The second wall-mounting metal plate 49 is placed on the rear side of the front board 33. Next, as shown in Figures 8 and 9, the first wall-mounting metal plate 41 and the second wall-mounting metal plate 49 are fixed to the front board 33 with screws 51 so that the front board 33 is sandwiched between them. As shown in Figure 10, with the first wall-mounting metal plate 41 attached to the front board 33, the support member 43 is placed in a position corresponding to the recessed portion 13 (see Figure 6).

[0021] Next, the air conditioning control device 1 is attached so that it is embedded in the front board 33 (opening 37). As shown in Figure 11, the air conditioning control device 1 is brought close to the front board 33. The air conditioning control device 1 is positioned so that the hook portion 45 is inserted into the hook insertion portion 15 (see Figure 2). Next, the hook portion 45 is inserted into the hook insertion portion 15. Next, in this state, the air conditioning control device 1 is slid downward.

[0022] By this operation, the upper part of the air conditioning control device 1 is hooked onto the hook portion 45, as shown in Figure 12. The air conditioning control device 1 is also provided with restricting portions 16 that clamp the hook portion 45 from the front and rear. This restricts the movement of the air conditioning control device 1 in the front-to-rear direction (arrow HY). In order to hook the air conditioning control device 1 onto the hook portion 45, the air conditioning control device 1 is provided with clearance in the vertical direction relative to the hook portion 45.

[0023] 13, the mounting metal plate 17a is supported from below by the support member 43. With the mounting metal plate 17a supported by the inclined support member 43, the vertical movement (arrow VY) and the front-rear movement (arrow HY) of the air conditioning control device 1 are restricted. In this way, the air conditioning control device 1 is temporarily fastened to the front board 33.

[0024] Next, the mounting metal plate 17a is fixed to the support member 43. As shown in FIG. 13 , a fixing screw 19 is brought close to the support member 43 from below the air conditioning control device 1. A screw with a cross recess is preferable as the fixing screw 19. Next, as shown in FIG. 14 , the fixing screw 19 is inserted into the opening of the support member 43 and screwed into the threaded hole formed in the mounting metal plate 17a using a screwdriver 61 (Phillips type). Note that a fixing screw with a slot may also be used as the fixing screw 19.

[0025] At this time, the support member 43 and the mounting metal plate 17a are each inclined diagonally upward from the front board 33. This allows the fixing screws 19 to be tightened while tilting the screwdriver 61 so that it approaches the front board 33 diagonally upward from below the air conditioning control device 1. This operation fixes the mounting metal plate 17a to the support member 43. In this way, the series of installation operations is completed, and the air conditioning control device 1 is attached to the wall 31 (front board 33) as shown in Figures 5 and 6.

[0026] In the above-described mounting structure of the air conditioning control device 1 to the wall 31, the mounting portion 14 is located behind the front cover member 11a when the air conditioning control device 1 mounted on the front board 33 (wall 31) is viewed from the front. This means that the air conditioning control device 1 is mounted to the front board 33 (wall 31) such that the mounting portion 14 is not visible when the air conditioning control device 1 is viewed from the front. As a result, the air conditioning control device 1 can be mounted to the front board 33 (wall 31) without compromising the design.

[0027] Furthermore, the support member 43 and the mounting metal plate 17a are each inclined diagonally upward from the front board 33. As a result, when fixing the mounting metal plate 17a to the support member 43, the fixing screws 19 can be tightened with the driver 61 tilted so that it approaches the front board 33 diagonally upward from below the air conditioning control device 1. As a result, the orientation of the driver 61 is uniquely determined, making the fixing work easier than when using a hex wrench for example.

[0028] Furthermore, since the fixing screws 19 can be tightened with the driver 61 tilted diagonally upward relative to the front board 33, it is possible to efficiently attach multiple air conditioning control devices 1 to the front board 33 in the vertical direction. As shown in Figure 15, it is assumed that the air conditioning control devices 1 are an air conditioning control device 1a serving as a first air conditioning control device and another air conditioning control device 1b serving as a second air conditioning control device, and are attached to the front board 33 (wall 31) with a gap between them in the vertical direction.

[0029] In this case, the mounting portion 14 is disposed in the recessed portion 13 provided on the lower side cover member 11ba, which serves as the opposing portion of the first side cover member of the side cover member 11b serving as the first side cover member in the air conditioning control device 1a. When mounting the air conditioning control device 1a above the other air conditioning control device 1b on the front board 33, the fixing screws 19 can be efficiently tightened without the driver 61 coming into contact with the other air conditioning control device 1b.

[0030] The angle θ at which the driver 61 is tilted relative to the front board 33 is preferably about 60° (about 60±5° including manufacturing tolerances), but it is desirable to change this angle appropriately depending on the distance between one air conditioning control device 1a and another air conditioning control device 1b and the protruding length. The angle θ is the angle between a perpendicular line (dotted line) to the front board 33 and the center line (dotted line) of the driver 61.

[0031] Embodiment 2. An example of an air conditioning control device mounting structure for mounting the air conditioning control device on a wall according to embodiment 2 will be described. Here, as shown in FIG. 16 , a guide member 47 is used. The guide member 47 has a pair of claws 47b and a pair of protrusions 47c for fixing the guide member 47 to the support member 43. The guide member 47 also has a cylindrical body 47a for guiding a fixing screw. The pair of claws 47b, the pair of protrusions 47c, and the cylindrical body 47a are formed to protrude from a flat plate portion 47d. The remaining configuration is similar to that of the mounting structure of the air conditioning control device 1 described in embodiment 1, and therefore, the same components are designated by the same reference numerals, and their description will not be repeated unless necessary.

[0032] Next, an example of a process for attaching the air conditioning control device 1 to the front board 33 (wall 31) using the guide member 47 will be described. First, after performing the same processes as those shown in Figures 7, 8, and 9, the guide member 47 is fixed to the support member 43 of the first wall-mounting sheet metal 41 as shown in Figures 17 and 18. Here, the support member 43 is formed with a pair of receiving recesses 43b and an opening 43c. The pair of receiving recesses 43b are formed to face each other with a gap in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction in which the support member 43 protrudes from the wall 31. The pair of receiving recesses 43b are recessed in such a way that they approach each other.

[0033] The guide member 47 is attached to the support member 43 by sandwiching the support member 43 between the pair of claws 47b and fitting each of the pair of protrusions 47c into a corresponding pair of receiving recesses 43b. Fixing screws 19 (see FIG. 20) are inserted into the openings 43c. As shown in FIG. 19, the guide member 47 may be fixed to the support member 43 by forming a pair of openings 43a in the support member 43 and fitting each of the pair of claws 47b into each of the pair of openings 43a.

[0034] As a result, the guide member 47 is fixed to the support member 43 so that the cylindrical body 47a faces the opening 43c formed in the support member 43. The guide member 47 is fixed so that the direction in which the cylindrical body 47a extends is approximately perpendicular to the support member 43. Furthermore, the guide member 47 is fixed so that the opening 43c is exposed at the open end of the cylindrical body 47a when viewed from the side where the fixing screw is inserted.

[0035] Furthermore, the surface of the flat plate portion 47d of the guide member 47 opposite to the surface on which the cylindrical body 47a etc. is formed is flush with the lower side cover member 11ba (see FIG. 6 ). As a result, the recessed portion 13 where the support member 43 etc. is arranged is not visible from the outside, and the flat plate portion 47d (guide member 47) made of resin and the lower side cover member 11ba (side cover member 11b) made of resin enhance the sense of unity of the air conditioning control device 1, further improving the design.

[0036] 11 and 12 are performed to temporarily fasten the air conditioning control device 1 to the front board 33. Next, the mounting metal plate 17a is fixed to the support member 43. The fixing screw 19 is moved from below the air conditioning control device 1 toward the guide member 47.

[0037] Next, as shown in Figure 20, the fixing screw 19 is inserted into the cylindrical body 47a of the guide member 47, and after using a driver 61 to push the fixing screw 19 in, the fixing screw 19 is screwed into the screw hole. At this time, the fixing screw 19 is easily guided into the screw hole by the cylindrical body 47a. Furthermore, by inserting the fixing screw 19 into the cylindrical body 47a, the orientation of the fixing screw 19 is uniquely determined. This operation fixes the mounting metal plate 17a to the support member 43. In this way, the series of mounting operations is completed.

[0038] In the above-described mounting structure for the air conditioning control device 1 to the wall 31, the guide member 47 having the cylindrical body 47a is attached to the support member 43. As a result, when the mounting metal plate 17a is fixed to the support member 43, the fixing screw 19 is easily guided into the screw hole by the cylindrical body 47a. Furthermore, by inserting the fixing screw 19 into the cylindrical body 47a, the orientation of the fixing screw 19 is uniquely determined. As a result, the work of screwing the fixing screw 19 into the screw hole using the driver 61 can be easily performed.

[0039] Next, we will explain modified examples of the mounting portion 14 in the mounting structure of the air conditioning control device 1. Note that the same members as those in the mounting structure of the air conditioning control device 1 explained in each embodiment will be given the same reference numerals, and their explanations will not be repeated unless necessary.

[0040] (First Modification) As shown in FIG. 21, in the mounting structure of the air conditioning control device 1 according to the first modification, the mounting portion 14 is disposed in the recessed portion 13 provided in the upper side cover member 11bb.

[0041] The mounting portion 14 includes a support member 43, a mounting metal plate 17b as a supported member, and a fixing screw 53 as a fastening member. The support member 43 is attached to the front board 33 (wall 31) so as to slope downward from the wall 31. The mounting metal plate 17b is formed so as to slope downward in a manner supported by the support member 43.

[0042] In the mounting structure of the air conditioning control device 1 according to the first modification, the mounting portion 14 is also located behind the front cover member 11a when the air conditioning control device 1 mounted on the front board 33 (wall 31) is viewed from the front. This means that the air conditioning control device 1 is mounted on the front board 33 (wall 31) such that the mounting portion 14 is not visible when the air conditioning control device 1 is viewed from the front. As a result, the air conditioning control device 1 can be mounted on the front board 33 (wall 31) without compromising the design.

[0043] Furthermore, the support member 43 and the mounting metal plate 17a are each inclined diagonally downward from the front board 33. This allows the fixing screws 19 to be tightened while tilting the driver 61 (see FIG. 17, for example) so that it approaches the front board 33 diagonally downward from above the air conditioning control device 1 when fixing the mounting metal plate 17a to the support member 43. As a result, the fixing work can be made easier than when using a hex wrench, for example.

[0044] Furthermore, in this case, when multiple air conditioning control devices 1 are attached to the front board 33 in the vertical direction, if the air conditioning control device 1 shown in Fig. 21 is attached to correspond to another air conditioning control device 1b shown in Fig. 15, the attachment portion 14 is located in the recessed portion 13 provided on the upper side cover member 11bb, which serves as the opposing portion of the second side cover member. In this case, the fixing screws 19 can be tightened efficiently without the driver 61 coming into contact with the air conditioning control device attached above.

[0045] (Second Modification) In the mounting structure of the air conditioning control device 1 according to the embodiment described above, the mounting portion 14 is exemplified in which the support member 43 and the mounting metal sheets 17a, 17b are each inclined obliquely upward or downward from the front board 33. The mounting portion 14 is not limited to this, and may have a structure in which the support member 43 and the mounting metal sheets 17a are not inclined.

[0046] As shown in Figures 22 and 23, in the mounting structure of the air conditioning control device 1 relating to the second modified example, the mounting portion 14, in which the support member 43 and the mounting metal plate 17a are each positioned approximately perpendicular to the front board 33, is positioned in the recessed portion 13.

[0047] As shown in Fig. 22 , in the first example, the mounting portion 14 is disposed in the recessed portion 13 provided in the lower side cover member 11ba. The mounting portion 14 includes a support member 43, a mounting metal plate 17c, and a fixing screw 53. As shown in Fig. 23 , in the second example, the mounting portion 14 is disposed in the recessed portion 13 provided in the upper side cover member 11bb. The mounting portion 14 includes a support member 43, a mounting metal plate 17d, and a fixing screw 53.

[0048] In the mounting structure of the air conditioning control device 1 according to the second modification, the mounting portion 14 is also located behind the front cover member 11a when the air conditioning control device 1 mounted on the front board 33 (wall 31) is viewed from the front. This allows the air conditioning control device 1 to be mounted on the front board 33 (wall 31) such that the mounting portion 14 is not visible when the air conditioning control device 1 is viewed from the front. As a result, the air conditioning control device 1 can be mounted on the front board 33 (wall 31) without compromising the design.

[0049] In the mounting structure of the air conditioning control device 1 according to the second modification, when using cross-recessed fixing screws 53, it is desirable to use, for example, an L-shaped screwdriver for fastening. In this case, work efficiency is expected to be somewhat lower than when fastening is performed by tilting the screwdriver 61 (see FIG. 14, etc.), but the design of the air conditioning control device 1 mounted on the wall 31 is not impaired.

[0050] The mounting structures of the air conditioning control device 1 described in each embodiment can be combined in various ways as needed.
