Description

[0001] Puzzle game

[0002] DESCRIPTIVE MEMORY

[0003] OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

[0004] The purpose of this application is to register a puzzle game for the composition of multiple puzzles, comprising a support for multiple puzzle compositions on different spatial planes.

[0005] The invention has its field of application within the industry dedicated to the manufacture of games for all ages.

[0006] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0007] There is currently a wide variety of puzzles that take on a wide variety of shapes and arrangements to entertain users of all ages.

[0008] Nowadays, it's possible to find puzzles with a two-dimensional layout, as well as three-dimensional ones simulating a 3D object. In relation to the classic two-dimensional layout, boards and supports have been developed for puzzle assembly, allowing for the ability to manipulate the puzzle once it's completed. However, most supports are designed to make and subsequently hold the puzzle in a horizontal plane.

[0009] There are ways to keep a puzzle composition vertical. While there are adhesives to keep puzzle pieces attached to each other, they have the disadvantage that they cannot be manipulated by young children and, once applied, the adhesive cannot be removed. Furthermore, the known supports are designed to make one or only a few puzzles on the same plane, which limits the play possibilities, especially for children.

[0010] Known in the state of the art is document GB 2129312 which describes a puzzle game for the composition of multiple puzzles with a general polyhedral shape, whose common characteristics form part of the preamble of claim 1.

[0011] Other similar puzzle games are also known from documents US 20060033271 and DE 29907235.

[0012] Furthermore, the applicant is not currently aware of an invention that has all of the features described herein.

[0013] DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0014] The present invention has been developed in order to provide a puzzle game that is configured as a novelty within the field of application and solves the aforementioned drawbacks, also providing other additional advantages that will be evident from the description that follows.

[0015] It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a puzzle game for composing multiple puzzles, comprising an internally hollow support with a polyhedral shape defining multiple faces in different orientations intended to define multiple images from a plurality of individual puzzle pieces, in which mechanically freely coupling means are provided to fix the individual pieces on the outer surface of the faces.

[0016] Thanks to these features, the resulting puzzle game is easy to manufacture and use, suitable for all ages. It allows for the creation of a multitude of puzzles on a single board or support, both horizontally and vertically. Furthermore, there is no risk of individual puzzle pieces positioned vertically depending on the support's placement, falling due to the effects of gravity, thanks to the freely adjustable coupling means for securing the individual puzzle pieces. Thus, it is advantageous to place the support in any position without the risk of the puzzle pieces becoming detached and without the need for adhesives.

[0017] Preferably, the aforementioned mechanically released coupling means comprise a plurality of through holes present on the multiple faces, and in which each of the individual puzzle pieces comprise on the rear face (which corresponds to the face not visible when the piece is mounted on the support) a projecting stud with dimensions such that it can be fitted into the aforementioned through hole.

[0018] According to the invention, the mechanically releasable coupling means may also include an arcuate path groove arranged at least partially around each of the through holes, where the groove has an extension that ends in the hole, thus acting as an elastic means that facilitates the placement and / or extraction of the individual puzzle pieces.

[0019] According to the invention, it has a peripheral projection around each through hole that projects internally on the inner surface of the faces, the projection defining a loop not closed by the presence of the slot extension.

[0020] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the support of the puzzle game may have a cubic shape, such that it defines six faces (panels) intended to allow the formation of six equal or different puzzle compositions, that is, one composition for each of the faces.

[0021] Advantageously, the puzzle pieces intended to be placed in the edge area of each of the faces can have at least one straight side or edge beveled, so as to allow an effect of continuity between panels and increase the overall dimensions of the compositions made up of multiple individual puzzle pieces.

[0022] Additionally, the various panels comprising the support include a positioning device for coupling adjacent panels together, maintaining the parallel and / or perpendicularity between panels, which provides rigidity to the entire cubic support. It is worth noting that the fact that the panels can be easily assembled / disassembled allows, for example, the puzzle game to be sold in disassembled form, i.e., the panels are decoupled from each other so that the assembly takes up less space.

[0023] According to the invention, the positioning means consists of a linear rib extending parallel to one of the edges of the panel, which is configured to be joined by a snap-fit relationship to a guide rail provided in an adjacent panel.

[0024] The puzzle game described represents, therefore, an innovative structure with structural and constitutive characteristics unknown until now for the purpose for which it is intended, reasons which, together with its practical usefulness, provide it with sufficient grounds to obtain the exclusive privilege that is requested.

[0025] Other features and advantages of the puzzle game object of the present invention will become evident from the description of a preferred, but not exclusive, embodiment, which is illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings, in which:

[0031] DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0032] In view of the aforementioned figures and, in accordance with the numbering adopted, one can observe in them an example of a preferred embodiment of the invention, which comprises the parts and elements indicated and described in detail below.

[0033] Furthermore, the terms first, second, third, and the like in the description and claims are used to distinguish between similar elements and not necessarily to describe a sequential or chronological order. The terms may be used interchangeably in appropriate circumstances, and embodiments of the invention may operate in sequences other than those described or illustrated herein.

[0034] Furthermore, the terms upper, lower, above, below and the like in the description and claims are used for descriptive purposes and not necessarily to describe relative positions.

[0035] As can be seen in the figures, an embodiment of a puzzle game for composing multiple puzzles comprises a support, made of plastic material, generally indicated by reference (1), hollow inside with a polyhedral shape defining multiple faces intended to define multiple images from a plurality of individual puzzle pieces (2) that fit together, being of the type comprising a laminar body provided with recesses and projections for fitting (22, 23), preferably curved, for joining puzzle pieces together. Means for freely mechanical coupling are provided that are configured to fix said individual puzzle pieces (2) on the outer surface of the faces.

[0036] The support (1) has a cubic shape, such that it defines six faces intended to form six equal or different puzzle compositions, that is, it comprises six panels (3) with a quadrangular layout that form each of the faces, said panels (3) being coupled together in a removable manner in a manner that will be detailed later.

[0037] With particular reference to the mechanical free coupling means, they comprise a plurality of through holes (4) present on the multiple faces in a matrix arrangement, and in which each of the individual puzzle pieces (2) comprise on the rear face (which corresponds to the face not visible when the piece is mounted on the support) a stud (20) located in a substantially centered manner and with dimensions such that it can be fitted into the through hole (4).

[0038] In addition, an arcuate path slot (5) is provided arranged around each of the through holes (4), where the slot (5) has an extension that ends in the through hole (4).

[0039] As can be seen in Figure 3, it also has a perimeter projection (6) located around each through hole (4) that protrudes internally on the inner surface of the faces, the projection defining a loop not closed by the presence of the slot extension.

[0040] In order to couple adjacent panels (3) to one another, the panels include a positioning means which essentially consists of a rib (7) with a linear path and which extends parallel to one of the edges of the panel (3). Thus, this rib (7) is configured to be connected by means of snap-fitting into a guide rail (8) made in an adjacent panel, as can be seen more clearly in figures 2 and 3. On the other hand, the individual puzzle pieces (2) which are specially designed to be placed in the edge area of each of the faces have at least one straight beveled side (21) (see figure 5), so that they coincide with adjacent individual puzzle pieces (2) of other panels.

[0041] In this embodiment, the support (1) described above, as well as the individual puzzle pieces (2) are made of a relatively rigid plastic material that provides rigidity to the game arrangement formed by the support itself (1) and the individual puzzle pieces (2).

[0042] The details, shapes, dimensions and other accessory elements used in the manufacture of the puzzle game of the invention may be conveniently replaced by others that do not deviate from the scope defined by the claims included below.
