[0019] The following will describe the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application in conjunction with the drawings in the embodiments of the present application. The described embodiments are only used to explain and illustrate the ideas of the present application and should not be regarded as limiting the scope of protection of the present application.
[0020] The embodiments of the present application provide a display device that can prevent indentations and damage to a flexible circuit board caused by external forces, thereby effectively improving product quality.
[0021] Referring to Figures 1 and 2, an embodiment of the present application provides a display device 100, comprising: a display panel 10, at least two flexible circuit boards 20, a front frame 30, and a spacer 40. The display panel 10 includes a display area AA and a binding area BA, wherein the binding area BA is located on at least one side of the display area AA. One end of the flexible circuit board 20 is provided in the binding area BA, and the other end of the flexible circuit board 20 is bent from the binding area BA toward the side surface of the display panel 10, that is, the other end of the flexible circuit board 20 is in contact with the side surface of the display panel or the side surface of the backlight module of the display device 100. The front frame 30 covers the flexible circuit board 20. The spacer 40 is provided on the side of the flexible circuit board 20, and the spacer 40 is at least partially located between the display panel 10 and the front frame 30.
[0022] The display device provided in the present application forms a certain buffer space between the flexible circuit board 20 and the front frame 30 by arranging a spacer 40 between two adjacent flexible circuit boards 20, and the spacer 40 is at least partially located between the display panel 10 and the front frame 30, thereby preventing the flexible circuit board 20 from being indented and damaged by external forces, thereby effectively improving product quality.
[0023] As shown in FIG3 , among the multiple spaced-apart flexible circuit boards 20 , only some adjacent two flexible circuit boards 20 are provided with spacers 40 , thereby ensuring a certain buffer space between the flexible circuit boards 20 and the front frame 30 while reducing the process steps.
[0024] In this embodiment of the present application, a spacer 40 is provided on the side surface of the display panel 10 facing the front frame 30. Specifically, the spacer 40 is provided on the side surface of the first substrate 101 on the side where the binding area BA is provided. The spacer 40 exerts an outward force on the inwardly locked front frame 30, creating a buffer space between the flexible circuit board 20 and the front frame 30. This prevents the flexible circuit board 20 from being indented or damaged by external forces, effectively improving product quality.
[0025] In the embodiment of the present application, an adhesive layer may be provided between the spacer 40 and the side surface of the first substrate 101 facing the front frame 30. The adhesive layer secures the spacer 40 to the side surface of the first substrate 101 facing the front frame 30. This layer not only positions the spacer 40 due to its adhesive properties, but also further enhances the support strength of the spacer 40 on the front frame 30. The adhesive layer may be double-sided tape.
[0026] In the embodiment of the present application, the binding area BA can be provided on two adjacent sides of the display area AA, that is, the binding area B can be located on one side along the width direction of the first substrate 101 and on one side along the length direction of the first substrate 101. Multiple flexible circuit boards 20 are spaced apart in the binding area BA along the width direction of the first substrate 101, and multiple flexible circuit boards 20 are spaced apart in the binding area BA along the length direction of the first substrate 101. The flexible circuit boards 20 are provided with gate drive circuits or source drive circuits.
[0027] In the embodiment of the present application, to ensure good support performance of the spacer 40 and prevent severe deformation of the spacer 40 during use that would affect its support effectiveness, the cross-sectional width of the spacer 40 along the self-binding area BA in the direction away from the display panel 10 is between 0.1 mm and 0.5 mm. Specifically, the cross-sectional width of the spacer 40 along the self-binding area BA in the direction away from the display panel 10 can be 0.1 mm, 0.2 mm, 0.3 mm, 0.4 mm, and 0.5 mm. Preferably, the cross-sectional width of the spacer 40 along the direction away from the display panel 10 is 0.3 mm.
[0028] In the embodiment of the present application, the width of the longitudinal section of the spacer 40 along the thickness direction of the display panel 10 is less than or equal to the thickness of the first substrate 101. Preferably, the width of the longitudinal section of the spacer 40 along the thickness direction of the display panel 10 is equal to the thickness of the first substrate 101. By increasing the contact area between the spacer 40 and the side surface of the first substrate 101, the supporting performance is improved.
[0029] In the embodiment of the present application, the spacer 40 comprises at least one of a block or a gasket. Specifically, the spacer 40 may include a first spacer portion, a second spacer portion, and a third spacer portion. The first spacer portion is arranged parallel to the second spacer portion, and the third spacer portion is arranged perpendicularly between the first and third spacer portions. Specifically, the spacer portion 40 may be shaped like an I to enhance the support strength of the spacer 40.
[0030] In the embodiment of the present application, the spacer 40 is made of rubber and includes at least one of a rubber pad, a rubber block, and a rubber strip.
[0031] In the embodiment of the present application, the spacer 40 may also be made of polyethylene foam. Polyethylene foam is produced by extruding low-density polyethylene (LDPE). LDPE offers numerous advantages, including water and moisture resistance, shock resistance, high toughness, and strong impact resistance. This ensures that the spacer 40 provides excellent support and prevents severe deformation during use that could affect its support effectiveness.
[0032] As shown in Figure 4 , at least one spacer 40 is positioned between each pair of adjacent flexible circuit boards 20. Specifically, one spacer 40, two spacers 40, three spacers 40, or more spacers 40 may be positioned between each pair of adjacent flexible circuit boards 20. In Figure 4 , a binding area BA is defined on both sides of the first substrate 101 outside the display area AA. At least one spacer 40 is positioned between each pair of adjacent flexible circuit boards 20 to enhance their support strength and ensure a buffer space between the flexible circuit boards 20 and the front frame 30, protecting the flexible circuit boards 20 from damage due to external forces.
[0033] As shown in Figure 5 , a spacer 40 is provided on the side surface of the front frame 30 facing the display panel 10. Specifically, when the front frame 30 and the display panel 10 are locked, the spacer 40 is located between two adjacent flexible circuit boards 20, and the end of the spacer 40 facing the display panel 10 is flush with the first substrate 101. The provision of the spacer 40 applies an outward force to the inwardly locked front frame 30, creating a buffer space between the flexible circuit boards 20 and the front frame 30. This prevents the flexible circuit boards 20 from being indented or damaged by external forces, effectively improving product quality. In Figure 5 , a binding area BA is provided on a side surface of the first substrate 101 outside the display area AA. A spacer 40 is provided between each of the two adjacent flexible circuit boards 20 to enhance the spacer's support performance and ensure a buffer space between the flexible circuit boards 20 and the front frame 30, preventing damage to the flexible circuit boards 20 from external forces.
[0034] In an embodiment of the present application, an adhesive layer may be provided between the spacer 40 and the front frame 30. The adhesive layer secures the spacer 40 to the side surface of the front frame 30 facing the display panel 10. This layer can, on the one hand, position the spacer 40 through the adhesive properties of the adhesive layer, and on the other hand, further enhance the support strength of the spacer 40 on the front frame 30. The adhesive layer may be double-sided tape. In an embodiment of the present application, a backing adhesive may also be provided on the side of the spacer 40 facing the front frame 30, so that the adhesive properties of the backing adhesive secure the spacer 40 to the front frame 30.
[0035] As shown in FIG6 , a plurality of spacers 40 are respectively disposed on the side surface of the display panel 10 facing the front frame 30 and the side surface of the front frame 30 facing the display panel 10. Specifically, two adjacent spacers 40 located on the same side of the display panel 10 may be respectively disposed on the side surface of the display panel 10 facing the front frame 30 and the side surface of the front frame 30 facing the display panel 10. Alternatively, a plurality of spacers 40 may be disposed at intervals on the same side of the display panel 10, with some spacers disposed on the side surface of the display panel 10 facing the front frame 30 and others on the side surface of the front frame 30 facing the display panel 10. Alternatively, a plurality of spacers 40 may be disposed at intervals on different sides of the display panel 10, with the plurality of spacers 40 located on one side of the display panel 10 disposed on the side surface of the display panel 10 facing the front frame 30 and the plurality of spacers 40 located on the other side disposed on the side surface of the front frame 30 facing the display panel 10.
[0036] In Figure 6 , a binding area BA is provided on both sides of the first substrate 101 outside the display area AA. A spacer 40 is provided between each adjacent flexible circuit board 20. The spacers 40 on one side of the display panel 10 are provided on the side of the display panel 10 facing the front frame 30, while the spacers 40 on the other side are provided on the side of the front frame 30 facing the display panel 10.
[0037] As shown in Figure 7, one end of the spacer 40 is provided in the binding area BA. The other end of the spacer 40 extends in the direction from the binding area BA away from the display panel 10. In Figure 7, the binding area BA is provided on both sides outside the display area AA of the first substrate 101. Among them, a spacer 40 is provided between two adjacent flexible circuit boards 20. One end of the spacer 40 is provided in the binding area BA. The other end of the spacer 40 extends in the direction from the binding area BA away from the display panel 10. Specifically, an adhesive layer can be provided between the spacer 40 and the binding area BA of the first substrate 101 to fix the spacer 40 to the binding area BA on the upper surface of the first substrate 101 through the adhesive layer. On the one hand, the spacer 40 can be positioned by the viscosity of the adhesive layer, and the cross-sectional width of the spacer 40 in the direction away from the display panel 10 can be appropriately increased to further improve the supporting strength of the spacer 40 on the front frame 30. Among them, the adhesive layer can be a double-sided adhesive. Adhesive may also be provided on the side of the spacer 40 facing the binding area BA, so that the spacer 40 can be fixed on the binding area BA by the viscosity of the adhesive.
[0038] As shown in FIG8 , the display device 100 further includes a backlight module 50. The display panel 10 is disposed on the backlight module 50 and is located on the light-emitting side of the backlight module 50. The display panel 10 includes a first substrate 101, a liquid crystal layer 102, and a second substrate 103. The liquid crystal layer 102 is located between the first substrate 101 and the second substrate 103 in the display area AA.
[0039] In the embodiment of the present application, the first substrate 101 may be an array substrate, and correspondingly, the second substrate 103 may be a color filter substrate. Alternatively, the display panel may be a COA (Color-Filter On Array, where the color filter layer is disposed on the array side) panel.
[0040] In this embodiment of the present application, the first substrate 101 has a display area AA and a bonding area BA. One end of the flexible circuit board 20 is connected to the driving circuit located in the bonding area BA. The other end of the flexible circuit board 20 extends from the bonding area BA toward the backlight module 50 and is connected to the printed circuit board. The orthographic projection of the bonding area BA of the first substrate 101 does not overlap with the orthographic projection of the second substrate 103 / color filter layer. That is, the bonding area BA of the first substrate 101 protrudes horizontally from the second substrate 103 / color filter layer.
[0041] In the embodiment of the present application, the first substrate 101 is located above the backlight module 50 , and the binding area BA is provided on a surface of the first substrate 101 on a side away from the backlight module 50 .
[0042] As shown in Figure 8, the backlight module 50 includes a back plate 51, a diaphragm 52, a diffuser 53, a backlight source 54, a reflector 55, a support structure 56, a middle frame 57 and a fixing part 58. Among them, the diaphragm 52 is located below the first substrate 101, and the back plate 51 is used to support the diaphragm 52. Specifically, the back plate 51 includes a main body and a plurality of panel portions arranged on the periphery of the main body, and the plurality of panel portions are fixedly connected to the main body, for example, the main body and the plurality of panel portions are an integrally formed structure. The main body and the plurality of panel portions form a receiving groove, and other components of the backlight module 50, such as the diffuser 53, the backlight source 54, etc., can be accommodated in the receiving groove. The diffuser plate 53 is arranged in the receiving groove, and the diffuser plate 53 may include a plurality of side portions. The shape of the diffuser plate 53 may be the same as that of the main body.
[0043] In an embodiment of the present application, the backlight source 54 can be disposed at the bottom of the receiving groove and located between the diffuser plate 53 and the main body. Specifically, the backlight source 54 can be attached to the side of the main body facing the diffuser plate 53. The backlight source 54 can include a plurality of spaced-apart light strips, each of which can include a plurality of spaced-apart lamp beads. The reflective sheet 55 can be disposed at the bottom of the receiving groove. Specifically, the reflective sheet 55 can be attached to the main body. An adhesive layer 59 can be provided between the reflective sheet 55 and the enclosure portion to fix the reflective sheet 55 to the enclosure portion through the viscosity of the adhesive layer 59. The adhesive layer 59 can be a double-sided tape.
[0044] In the embodiment of the present application, the diaphragm 52 may include two layers of diaphragms, which are stacked sequentially on the side of the diffuser 53 away from the main body. The diaphragm 52 can mix the light passing through the diffuser 53, making the light more uniform. The support structure 56 may include a support platform and support columns. The support platform is connected to the bottom of the receiving tank, that is, the support platform is fixedly connected to the side of the main body facing the receiving tank by screws. The support columns are connected to the support platform, and the ends of the support columns away from the support platform abut against the diffuser 53, thereby supporting the diffuser 53 through the support structure 56.
[0045] In the embodiment of the present application, the front frame 30 includes a first frame portion 31 and a second frame portion 32. The first frame portion 31 and the second frame portion 32 are arranged perpendicular to each other. The first frame portion 31 is located in the non-display area AA of the display panel 10 and is adhered to the second substrate 103. The orthographic projection of the first frame portion 31 covers the orthographic projection of the binding area BA. The second frame portion 32 covers the flexible circuit board 20, the middle frame 57, and the surrounding plate portion of the back panel 51.
[0046] In the embodiment of the present application, the middle frame 57 is provided between the back plate 51 and the front frame 30 to provide support for the diffuser 53. The other end of the flexible circuit board 20 is located between the front frame 30 and the middle frame 57. A second screw hole is provided on the middle frame 57, and the second screw hole is provided corresponding to the first screw hole 33. The fixing member 58 is provided in the first screw hole 33 and the second screw hole, and the front frame 30 is connected to the middle frame 57 through the fixing member 58. Specifically, the fixing member 58 can be a screw, which is inserted into the first screw hole 33 and the second screw hole to fix the front frame 30 to the middle frame 57. Furthermore, a third screw hole corresponding to the first screw hole 33 and the second screw hole is provided on the enclosure portion of the back plate 51. The screw is screwed into the first screw hole 33, the second screw hole, and the third screw hole to achieve a fixed connection between the front frame 30, the middle frame 57, and the back plate 51.
[0047] As shown in FIG9 , a first screw hole 33 is defined on the second frame portion 32 of the front frame 30 . The first screw hole 33 is located between two adjacent flexible circuit boards 20 and on a side of the spacer 40 away from the light emitting surface of the display panel.
[0048] As shown in Figure 10, the front frame 30 is further provided with an opening 34. This opening 34 is located on the side of the first screw hole 33 that is closer to the light-emitting surface of the display panel. That is, the opening 34 is located above the first screw hole 33. Providing the opening 34 above the first screw hole 33 prevents the locking force generated by the screws locking into the first screw holes 33, which is directed from the front frame 30 toward the display panel, from being transmitted to the upper side of the front frame 30 corresponding to the flexible circuit board 20. This reduces the external pressure on the flexible circuit board 20, preventing display image abnormalities caused by indentations or damage to the flexible circuit board 20 due to direct or indirect external pressure, and effectively improves product quality.
[0049] In the embodiment of the present application, the opening 34 comprises a narrow, straight-line hole. That is, the opening 34 can be in the shape of an elongated strip. The horizontal cross-sectional width of the opening 34 is greater than or equal to the diameter of the first screw hole 33. Specifically, the horizontal direction can be the width of the display panel or the length of the display panel. Preferably, the cross-sectional width of the opening 34 along the direction from the flexible printed circuit board 20 toward the spacer 40 located on the same side is greater than the diameter of the first screw hole 33, which can more effectively reduce the impact of the locking force on the flexible printed circuit board 20.
[0050] As shown in Figure 11, the opening 34 is shaped like an arc. To ensure the stability of the front frame 30 while minimizing the locking force applied to the flexible circuit board when the screw is screwed into the first screw hole 33, thereby preventing damage to the flexible circuit board from external forces, the angle of the arc-shaped opening 34 is preferably between 90 degrees and 180 degrees. The angles of the arc-shaped opening 34 include 90 degrees, 100 degrees, 110 degrees, 120 degrees, 130 degrees, 140 degrees, 150 degrees, 160 degrees, 170 degrees, and 180 degrees.
[0051] As shown in FIG12 , the opening 34 includes a first sub-opening 341 and a second sub-opening 342. The ends of the first sub-opening 341 and the second sub-opening 342 are cross-connected, and the angle between the first sub-opening 341 and the second sub-opening 342 is between 60 degrees and 150 degrees. The angles of the opening 34 include 60 degrees, 70 degrees, 80 degrees, 90 degrees, 100 degrees, 110 degrees, 120 degrees, 130 degrees, 140 degrees, and 150 degrees. The "V" shape of the opening 34 helps reduce the locking force of the screw when it is screwed into the first screw hole 33 and is transmitted to the two adjacent flexible circuit boards above the first screw hole 33, thereby preventing the two adjacent flexible circuit boards above the first screw hole 33 from being damaged by external forces.
[0052] In the embodiment of the present application, the length of the opening 34 is negatively correlated with the angle between the first sub-opening 341 and the second sub-opening 342. That is, the larger the angle of the opening 34, the smaller the length of the opening 34. For example, the length of the opening 34 when the angle is 60 degrees is greater than the length of the opening 34 when the angle is 120 degrees. The length of the opening 34 is negatively correlated with the angle between the first sub-opening 341 and the second sub-opening 342, which can better release the locking force when the screw is screwed to the first screw hole 33, and prevent the two adjacent flexible circuit boards 20 above the first screw hole 33 from being damaged by external forces.
[0053] The present application provides a display device comprising: a display panel 10, a flexible circuit board 20, a front frame 30, and a spacer 40. The display panel 10 includes a display area AA and a binding area BA, the binding area BA being located on at least one side of the display area AA. One end of the flexible circuit board 20 is disposed in the binding area BA, and the other end of the flexible circuit board 20 is bent below the display panel 10 from the binding area BA. The front frame 30 covers a plurality of flexible circuit boards 20. The spacer 40 is disposed between two adjacent flexible circuit boards 20, and at least partially located between the display panel 10 and the front frame 30. By providing the spacer 40 between the display panel 10 and the front frame 30, the display device forms a buffer space between the flexible circuit board 20 and the front frame 30, thereby preventing the flexible circuit board 20 from being indented or damaged by external forces, thereby effectively improving product quality.
[0054] The display device can be applied to any product with a display function, such as electronic paper, mobile phones, tablet computers, televisions, monitors, notebook computers, digital photo frames, and navigators.
[0055] The above is a detailed introduction to a display device provided in an embodiment of the present application. The description of the above embodiment is only used to help understand the core idea of the present application, and the content of this specification should not be understood as limiting the scope of protection of the present application.
