Description

Detection component mounting structure and vehicle

[0001] This disclosure claims priority to Chinese patent application No. 202322053784.1, filed on July 31, 2023, and entitled “Detection Component Mounting Structure and Vehicle,” the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. Technical Field

[0002] The present disclosure relates to the field of vehicle technology, and in particular to a detection component mounting structure and a vehicle. Background Art

[0003] Roof-mounted detection components (such as lidar) are key components of autonomous driving systems. To ensure their functionality, they must be accurately positioned within the vehicle's coordinate system and ensure long-term connection reliability. Furthermore, as they are exterior components, they must also meet certain cosmetic matching requirements with their decorative panels.

[0004] To meet the first requirement, the roof detection assembly needs to be connected to the roof crossbar, and to meet the second requirement, the detection assembly needs to be connected to the trim panel, which is fixed to the roof crossbar.

[0005] The detector assembly is connected to both the roof rail and the trim panel, which can lead to over-positioning of the detector assembly. Due to errors in the manufacturing and installation of the roof rail and trim panel, the relative position of the roof rail and trim panel is not fixed. This causes the trim panel and roof rail to pull on the detector assembly during installation, resulting in poor positioning of the detector assembly and poor visual matching between the detector assembly and the trim panel.

[0006] Summary of the Invention

[0007] The present disclosure provides a detection assembly mounting structure and a vehicle. The detection assembly of the detection assembly mounting structure is connected to the trim panel, and the detection assembly is connected to the roof crossbar via a tolerance adjuster. The technical solutions of the detection assembly mounting structure and vehicle are as follows:

[0008] In a first aspect, the present disclosure provides a detection assembly mounting structure, comprising a roof crossbar, a trim panel, a detection assembly, and a tolerance adjuster. The trim panel is connected to the roof crossbar, the detection assembly is connected to the trim panel, and the detection assembly is connected to the roof crossbar via the tolerance adjuster.

[0009] The detection component may be a laser radar component, and the trim plate may be a radar trim plate. The tolerance adjuster may also be called an adaptive nut.

[0010] The technical solution provided by the present disclosure is that when installing the detection assembly, the detection assembly is first connected to the trim panel, and then the trim panel is connected to the roof crossbar. At this time, the detection assembly has been positioned, but has not yet been directly connected to the roof crossbar. Due to manufacturing errors and other reasons, the relative position relationship between the detection assembly and the roof crossbar may not be the design value. For example, the height of the installation space between the detection assembly and the roof crossbar is not necessarily the set value. Since the tolerance adjuster can adapt to the height change of the installation space within a certain range, the present disclosure uses the tolerance adjuster to connect the detection assembly to the roof crossbar, which can adapt to the deviation of the detection assembly and the roof crossbar. During the installation process, there is no pulling effect on the detection assembly, so that the posture of the detection assembly and the appearance matching accuracy of the detection assembly and the trim panel are in a better state.

[0011] In one possible implementation, the tolerance adjuster includes an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder, the outer cylinder being threadedly connected to the inner cylinder and positioned between the detection assembly and the roof crossbar. The detection assembly mounting structure also includes a bolt (or screw) that passes through the roof crossbar, the inner cylinder, and the outer cylinder and is threadedly connected to the detection assembly.

[0012] The outer and inner cylinders are located in the mounting space between the detection assembly and the roof crossbar, supporting the detection assembly and preventing it from moving toward the roof crossbar. Furthermore, as the inner cylinder rotates relative to the outer cylinder, the combined length of the inner and outer cylinders changes, allowing the tolerance adjuster to accommodate installation spaces of varying heights. After a bolt passes through the roof crossbar, inner and outer cylinders, and is threadedly connected to the detection assembly, the bolt prevents the detection assembly from moving away from the roof crossbar, thereby limiting the detection assembly's position by the roof crossbar.

[0013] In a possible implementation, the direction of rotation of the threads between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder is opposite to the direction of rotation of the threads of the bolt. The bolt and the inner cylinder are interference fit.

[0014] The technical solution provided by this disclosure features an interference fit between the bolt and the inner barrel. Therefore, tightening the bolt drives the inner barrel to rotate synchronously. Furthermore, because the threads between the inner and outer barrels rotate in the opposite direction to the bolt's threads, the combined length of the inner and outer barrels increases as the bolt is tightened. This allows the tolerance adjuster to automatically adapt to the installation space between the detection assembly and the roof rail.

[0015] In addition, if the bolt needs to be tightened after the inner tube and outer tube respectively support the detection component and the roof beam, the inner tube will be blocked by the detection component or the roof beam, so the inner tube cannot continue to rotate, and the bolt will rotate alone. At this time, the rotation of the bolt needs to overcome the friction between the bolt and the inner tube, that is, the bolt will slide axially relative to the inner tube and rotate circumferentially.

[0016] In a possible implementation, the outer cylinder has a claw, which is engaged with the roof crossbar or the detection assembly.

[0017] The technical solution provided by the present disclosure provides a claw on the outer cylinder, so that the claw can achieve the initial fixation of the tolerance adjuster, facilitating the installation of the tolerance adjuster. In addition, the presence of the claw can also prevent the outer cylinder from rotating with the inner cylinder.

[0018] In one possible implementation, the detection assembly includes a detector connected to the trim panel, and the detector is connected to the roof crossbar via a tolerance adjuster. The detector has a threaded hole, and a bolt of the tolerance adjuster extends into the threaded hole.

[0019] In one possible implementation, the tolerance adjuster includes an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder, the outer cylinder being threadedly connected to the inner cylinder and positioned between the detector and the roof rail. The outer cylinder has a latch that engages the roof rail. The detector assembly mounting structure also includes a bolt that passes through the roof rail, the outer cylinder, and the inner cylinder and is threadedly connected to the detector. The roof rail has a latch hole for the latch to pass through. The latch hole is more convenient for positioning on the roof rail than on the detector.

[0020] In a possible implementation, the detection assembly includes a detector and a bracket, wherein the detector is fixed to the bracket, the detector is connected to the trim panel, and the bracket is connected to the roof crossbar via a tolerance adjuster.

[0021] In a possible implementation, the detection assembly includes a detector and a bracket, wherein the detector is fixed to the bracket, the bracket is connected to the trim panel, and the bracket is connected to the roof crossbar via a tolerance adjuster.

[0022] In one possible implementation, the tolerance adjuster includes an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder, the outer cylinder being threadedly connected to the inner cylinder and positioned between the bracket and the roof rail. The outer cylinder has a claw that engages the bracket. The detection assembly mounting structure also includes a bolt that passes through the roof rail, the inner cylinder, and the outer cylinder, and is threadedly connected to the bracket. The bracket has a claw hole for the claw to pass through. Compared to the roof rail, the bracket is more convenient for installing the claw hole.

[0023] In a possible implementation, a projection welding nut is welded to the bracket, and the bolt of the tolerance adjuster is threadedly connected to the projection welding nut.

[0024] In a possible implementation, there is a gap between the bracket and the bottom wall of the detector, and the claw passes through the bracket and extends into the gap.

[0025] In a possible implementation, the bottom wall of the detector has a plurality of bosses, and the plurality of bosses are fixedly connected to the bracket, so that a gap is formed between the bracket and the bottom wall of the detector for the claws to extend into.

[0026] In a possible implementation, there are four bosses, which are respectively located at the four corners of the bottom wall of the detector.

[0027] In one possible implementation, the side wall of the detector has multiple mounting feet. The bracket includes a first support plate, a connecting plate, and a second support plate connected in sequence. The first support plate is fixedly connected to the multiple mounting feet. The connecting plate faces the side wall of the detector. The second support plate faces the bottom wall of the detector, and a gap is formed between the second support plate and the bottom wall of the detector to allow the claw to extend into.

[0028] In a possible implementation, there are multiple tolerance adjusters, and the multiple tolerance adjusters include at least three tolerance adjusters distributed in a triangle.

[0029] The technical solution provided by the present disclosure can make the detection assembly more stable by providing a detection assembly mounting structure including at least three tolerance adjusters distributed in a triangle, based on the principle of determining a plane by three points.

[0030] In a possible implementation, there are three tolerance adjusters distributed in a triangle.

[0031] In a second aspect, the present disclosure provides a vehicle, comprising a detection assembly mounting structure as described in any one of the first aspects.

[0032] The vehicle may be a sedan, a sport utility vehicle (SUV), a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), etc. The vehicle may implement an automatic driving function or other detection functions through the detection component in the detection component mounting structure. [0055] With the development of autonomous driving technology, the application of roof detection components (such as lidar components) is increasing. As one of the important functional parts in the autonomous driving system, to ensure the function of the detection component, the installation and positioning of the detection component in the vehicle coordinate system must meet high installation accuracy (generally, the angular deviation from the vehicle's X, Y, and Z axes cannot exceed a certain threshold, such as 0.5°), as well as long-term connection reliability (such as ensuring the stability of the detection component's position under different road conditions). In addition, the detection component is also one of the appearance parts. The window and trim of the detection component must meet certain appearance matching accuracy requirements, that is, the gap requirements and face difference requirements between the window and trim of the detection component must be met. For example, the gap should meet 1.0±0.5mm.

[0056] To meet the first requirement, the roof detection assembly generally needs to be connected to the roof rails. To meet the second requirement, the detection assembly also needs to be connected to the trim panel, which is fixed to the roof rails.

[0057] Because the detection assembly is connected to both the roof crossbar and the trim, it's actually over-positioned. Due to errors in the manufacturing and installation of the roof crossbar and trim, the relative position of the two panels may not be as designed. This causes the trim and roof crossbar to pull on the detection assembly during installation, resulting in poor alignment and poor visual matching between the detection assembly and the trim.

[0058] For example, as shown in Figures 1 and 2, when installing the detector assembly, first, the detector assembly 3 is connected to the trim panel 2 using the second fastener 9. Then, the trim panel 2 is connected to the roof crossbar 1 using the third fastener 10. At this point, the detector assembly 3 has been positioned, but has not yet been directly connected to the roof crossbar 1. As shown in Figure 1, under ideal conditions, the position of the detector assembly 3 is the designed position. Therefore, during the connection of the detector assembly 3 to the roof crossbar 1 using the fourth fastener 11, the position and posture of the detector assembly 3 remain unchanged.

[0059] However, as shown in FIG2 , in actual application, the position of the detection component 3 may not be the designed position. Then, during the connection of the detection component 3 to the roof crossbar 1 through the fourth fastener 11, the roof crossbar 1 and the trim panel 2 will exert a pulling effect on the detection component 3 (as shown by the arrows in FIG2 ), resulting in a poor posture of the detection component 3 and poor appearance matching accuracy between the detection component 3 and the trim panel 2.

[0060] To address the aforementioned technical issues, related art connects the detection assembly 3 only to the trim panel 2, rather than to the roof crossbar 1. However, since the trim panel 2 is typically made of plastic, it may deform due to factors such as temperature and sunlight over the vehicle's long lifespan. This can cause the posture and position of the detection assembly 3 to change, affecting its detection function and resulting in poor long-term reliability.

[0061] In view of the above technical problems, the present disclosure provides a detection assembly mounting structure, as shown in Figures 3, 11, or 16. The detection assembly mounting structure includes a roof crossbar 1, a trim panel 2, a detection assembly 3, and a tolerance adjuster 4. The trim panel 2 is connected to the roof crossbar 1. The detection assembly 3 is connected to the trim panel 2, and the detection assembly 3 is connected to the roof crossbar 1 via the tolerance adjuster 4.

[0062] The detection assembly 3 may be a laser radar assembly, and the trim panel 2 may be a radar trim panel. The detection assembly 3 includes at least a detector 31 and may also include a bracket 32 for assisting in the installation of the detector 31. The detector 31 may be a laser radar. The tolerance adjuster 4 may also be referred to as an adaptive nut.

[0063] According to the technical solution provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, when installing the detection assembly 3, first, the detection assembly 3 is connected to the decorative panel 2, and then the decorative panel 2 is connected to the roof crossbar 1. At this time, the detection assembly 3 has been positioned, but has not yet been directly connected to the roof crossbar 1. Due to manufacturing errors and other reasons, the relative position relationship between the detection assembly 3 and the roof crossbar 1 may not be the design value. Specifically, the height of the installation space between the detection assembly 3 and the roof crossbar 1 is not necessarily the set value. Since the tolerance adjuster 4 can adapt to the height change of the installation space within a certain range, the detection assembly 3 is connected to the roof crossbar 1 by setting the tolerance adjuster 4. It can adapt to the deviation between the detection assembly 3 and the roof crossbar 1. During the installation process, there is no pulling effect on the detection assembly 3, so that the posture of the detection assembly 3 and the appearance matching accuracy of the detection assembly 3 and the decorative panel 2 are better.

[0064] The following describes an exemplary embodiment of the tolerance adjuster 4 provided in the present disclosure. In some examples, as shown in Figures 4-7 , the tolerance adjuster 4 includes an outer cylinder 41 and an inner cylinder 42. The outer cylinder 41 is threadedly connected to the inner cylinder 42, and the outer cylinder 41 and the inner cylinder 42 are positioned between the detection assembly 3 and the roof crossbar 1. The detection assembly mounting structure also includes a bolt 5, which passes through the roof crossbar 1, the inner cylinder 42, and the outer cylinder 41, and is connected to the detection assembly 3.

[0065] As shown in Figures 5 and 6, the outer cylinder 41 and inner cylinder 42 are located in the installation space between the detection assembly 3 and the roof crossbar 1, supporting the detection assembly 3 and preventing it from moving toward the roof crossbar 1. Furthermore, when the inner cylinder 42 rotates relative to the outer cylinder 41, the combined length of the inner and outer cylinders 42 and 41 changes, allowing the tolerance adjuster 4 to adapt to installation spaces of varying heights. After the bolt 5 passes through the roof crossbar 1, the inner cylinder 42, and the outer cylinder 41 and is threadedly connected to the detection assembly 3, the bolt 5 prevents the detection assembly 3 from moving away from the roof crossbar 1, thereby limiting the detection assembly 3's position by the roof crossbar 1.

[0066] In some examples, the direction of rotation of the threads between the inner cylinder 42 and the outer cylinder 41 is opposite to the direction of rotation of the threads of the bolt 5. The bolt 5 and the inner cylinder 42 are interference fit.

[0067] The technical solution provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure utilizes an interference fit between the bolt 5 and the inner cylinder 42. Therefore, as shown in FIG6 , when the bolt 5 is tightened, it drives the inner cylinder 42 to rotate synchronously. Furthermore, because the direction of rotation of the threads between the inner cylinder 42 and the outer cylinder 41 is opposite to that of the bolt 5, the total length of the inner cylinder 42 and the outer cylinder 41 increases when the bolt 5 is tightened. As a result, the tolerance adjuster 4 can automatically adapt to the installation space between the roof crossbar 1 and the detection assembly 3. This arrangement is particularly suitable for installation scenarios of the detection assembly 3 provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, where operating space is limited. This arrangement can reduce the requirements for operating space.

[0068] In addition, if the bolt 5 needs to be tightened further after the inner cylinder 42 and the outer cylinder 41 respectively press against the roof crossbar 1 and the detection assembly 3, the inner cylinder 42 will be blocked by the detection assembly 3, so the inner cylinder 42 cannot continue to rotate, and the bolt 5 will rotate alone. At this time, the rotation of the bolt 5 needs to overcome the friction between the bolt 5 and the inner cylinder 42, that is, the bolt 5 will undergo axial and circumferential movement relative to the inner cylinder 42.

[0069] It should be supplemented that the tolerance adjuster 4 in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6 can also be used in reverse, that is, the outer cylinder 41 abuts against the roof crossbar 1 , and the inner cylinder 42 abuts against the detection assembly 3 .

[0070] In some examples, as shown in FIG5 , inner cylinder 42 includes an inner cylinder body 421 and a bushing 422. Bushing 422 is located within inner cylinder body 421 and is circumferentially fixed to inner cylinder body 421 (e.g., by an interference fit). Bushing 422 also forms an interference fit with bolt 5. When bolt 5 rotates, bushing 422 and inner cylinder body 421 rotate together. Bushing 422 may be a plastic bushing.

[0071] In some examples, the direction of rotation of the threads between the inner cylinder 42 and the outer cylinder 41 can also be set to be the same as the direction of rotation of the threads of the bolt 5. In this case, when the bolt 5 is rotated, the length between the inner cylinder 42 and the outer cylinder 41 cannot automatically extend, that is, the gap cannot be automatically adapted. In this case, it is necessary to adjust the total length of the inner cylinder 42 and the outer cylinder 41 to an appropriate position and support the detection assembly 3 before rotating the bolt 5. In addition, the bolt 5 does not have an interference fit with the inner cylinder 42 (for example, the bolt 5 can have a clearance fit with the inner cylinder 42) to prevent the total length of the inner cylinder 42 and the outer cylinder 41 from changing when the bolt 5 is rotated.

[0072] In some examples, as shown in Figures 4 to 6, the outer cylinder 41 has a claw 411, which is engaged with the roof beam 1 or the detection assembly 3. The claw 411 can be an elastic claw.

[0073] The technical solution provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure is to provide the outer cylinder 41 with a claw 411, so that the claw 411 can achieve the initial fixation of the tolerance adjuster 4, thereby facilitating the installation of the tolerance adjuster 4. In addition, the presence of the claw 411 can also prevent the outer cylinder 41 from rotating with the inner cylinder 42.

[0074] In other examples, as shown in FIG7 , the outer cylinder 41 may not have the claws 411 . In this case, when using the tolerance adjuster 4 shown in FIG7 , other methods are required to perform preliminary fixation of the outer cylinder 41 to prevent the outer cylinder 41 from rotating with the inner cylinder 42 .

[0075] In some examples, as shown in FIG. 4 to FIG. 7 , the tolerance adjuster 4 further includes a sealing ring 43 , and the sealing ring 43 is encircled by the inner cylinder 42 .

[0076] In some examples, as shown in FIG. 4 to FIG. 7 , the tolerance adjuster 4 further includes a shim 6 , which is located between the roof crossbar 1 and the head of the bolt 5 .

[0077] Below, three possible implementations of the detection assembly installation structure provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure are exemplarily described:

[0078] (1) In some examples, as shown in FIG3 and FIG8-FIG10 , the detection assembly 3 includes a detector 31 . The detector 31 is connected to the trim panel 2 , and the detector 31 is connected to the roof crossbar 1 through the tolerance adjuster 4 .

[0079] In some examples, as shown in Figures 9 and 10, in the case where the tolerance adjuster 4 has a claw 411, it is necessary to provide a claw hole on the detector 31 or the roof crossbar 1, and the claw hole is used for the claw 411 to pass through. For example, as shown in Figures 9 and 10, since the roof crossbar 1 is more convenient for setting a claw hole than the detector 31, a claw hole can be provided on the roof crossbar 1. The claw hole on the roof crossbar 1 can be referred to as a first claw hole 100. In addition, as shown in Figures 9 and 10, a through hole for the bolt 5 to pass through should also be provided on the roof crossbar 1, and each through hole has a first claw hole 100 on both sides.

[0080] The following is an exemplary description of the installation process and implementation of the detector 31.

[0081] In the first step, as shown in Figure 3 , the detector 31 is positioned on the trim panel 2 using a tool or self-positioning components, and then connected using a second fastener 9 . For example, as shown in Figures 9 and 10 , the detector 31 has multiple mounting feet 3121 . The second fastener 9 then passes through the through-holes in the mounting feet 3121 and is fixedly connected to the trim panel 2 . There can be four mounting feet 3121 .

[0082] The second step is to connect the tolerance adjuster 4 to the roof crossbar 1. For example, as shown in Figures 9 and 10, the claw 411 of the tolerance adjuster 4 is inserted into the first claw hole 100 of the roof crossbar 1 to achieve preliminary fixation of the tolerance adjuster 4.

[0083] In the third step, as shown in Figure 3 , the trim panel 2 and roof crossbar 1 are positioned using tooling or self-positioning, and then connected using the third fastener 10 . At this point, the relative position of the detector 31 and the roof crossbar 1 is determined. The trim panel 2 and roof crossbar 1 can be connected on the assembly line. Multiple, evenly distributed connection points (not shown) can be provided between the trim panel 2 and the roof crossbar 1 .

[0084] In the fourth step, as shown in Figures 9 and 10, the detector 31 is connected to the roof rail 1 via the tolerance adjuster 4. When tightened, the tolerance adjuster 4 automatically absorbs the height difference between the detector 31 and the roof rail 1. For example, a bolt 5 is sequentially passed through the roof rail 1, the outer cylinder 41, and the inner cylinder 42, and then tightened into the threaded hole at the bottom of the detector 31. As the bolt 5 is rotated, the outer cylinder 41 and the inner cylinder 42 automatically extend in length, adapting to the installation space between the detector 31 and the roof rail 1.

[0085] (2) In some examples, as shown in FIG8 and FIG11-15, the detection assembly 3 includes a detector 31 and a bracket 32. The detector 31 is fixed to the bracket 32. The detector 31 is connected to the trim panel 2, and the bracket 32 is connected to the roof crossbar 1 through the tolerance adjuster 4.

[0086] In some examples, as shown in Figures 12-15 , when tolerance adjuster 4 has a claw 411, a claw hole may be provided on bracket 32 or roof crossbar 1 for passage of claw 411. For example, as shown in Figure 14 , since bracket 32 is more convenient for providing a claw hole than roof crossbar 1 , a claw hole may be provided on bracket 32. The claw hole on bracket 32 may be referred to as second claw hole 32a.

[0087] In some examples, as shown in FIG14 , to facilitate connection between the bracket 32 and the bolt 5, the bracket 32 is further provided with a nut receiving portion 32b. The nut 7, which may be a projection welding nut, may be disposed in the nut receiving portion 32b. A first mounting hole 32c for the bolt 5 to pass through is provided in the center of the nut receiving portion 32b.

[0088] To avoid interference between the bottom wall 311 of the detector 31 and the claw 411 , in some examples, as shown in FIG. 15 , a gap 30 is provided between the bracket 32 and the bottom wall 311 of the detector 31 , and the claw 411 passes through the bracket 32 and extends into the gap 30 .

[0089] In some examples, as shown in FIG. 15 , the bottom wall 311 of the detector 31 has a plurality of bosses 3111 , and the plurality of bosses 3111 are fixedly connected to the bracket 32 , so that a gap 30 is formed between the bracket 32 and the bottom wall 311 of the detector 31 .

[0090] Of course, in other examples, as shown in FIG11 , the portion through which the claw 411 passes, that is, the portion of the bracket 32 where the second claw hole 32a and the nut receiving portion 32b are provided, is located outside the detector 31, rather than facing the detector 31. In this case, since the bottom wall 311 of the detector 31 will not block the claw 411, the gap 30 between the bottom wall 311 of the detector 31 and the bracket 32 may not be present.

[0091] The following is an exemplary description of the installation process and implementation of the detector 31.

[0092] In the first step, as shown in Figure 14, the detector 31 and bracket 32 are positioned using tooling or self-positioning, and then connected using the first fastener 8. For example, as shown in Figures 12 and 14, the bracket 32 has multiple second mounting holes 32d. The first fastener 8 passes through the second mounting holes 32d and is tightened into a threaded hole on the bottom of the detector 31. The threaded hole can be located on the boss 3111 on the bottom of the detector 31, and there can be four second mounting holes 32d.

[0093] In the second step, as shown in Figure 11, the detector 31 and the trim panel 2 are positioned using tooling or self-positioning, and then connected using the second fastener 9. For example, as shown in Figures 12-15, the detector 31 has multiple mounting feet 3121. The second fastener 9 then passes through the through holes of the multiple mounting feet 3121 and is fixedly connected to the trim panel 2. There can be four mounting feet 3121.

[0094] In the third step, as shown in Figure 15 , the tolerance adjuster 4 is connected to the bracket 32. For example, the claw 411 of the tolerance adjuster 4 is inserted into the second claw hole 32a of the bracket 32 to achieve preliminary fixation of the tolerance adjuster 4.

[0095] In the fourth step, as shown in Figure 11, the trim panel 2 and the roof crossbar 1 are positioned using tooling or self-positioning, and then connected using the third fastener 10. At this point, the relative position of the detector 31 and the roof crossbar 1 is determined. The trim panel 2 and the roof crossbar 1 can be connected on the assembly line. The trim panel 2 and the roof crossbar 1 can have eight connection points for a fixed connection.

[0096] In the fifth step, as shown in FIG15 , the detector bracket 32 is connected to the roof crossbar 1 through the tolerance adjuster 4 . When the tolerance adjuster 4 is tightened, the height deviation between the bracket 32 and the roof crossbar 1 due to manufacturing tolerance can be automatically absorbed.

[0097] For example, as shown in FIG15 , a bolt 5 is sequentially passed through the roof crossbar 1, the inner tube 42, and the outer tube 41, and then tightened into the nut 7 provided on the bracket 32. Furthermore, during the rotation of the bolt 5, the lengths of the outer tube 41 and the inner tube 42 automatically extend and adapt to the gap, or installation space, between the bracket 32 and the roof crossbar 1.

[0098] (3) In some examples, as shown in FIG8 and FIG16-21, the detection assembly 3 includes a detector 31 and a bracket 32. The detector 31 is fixed to the bracket 32. The bracket 32 is connected to the trim panel 2, and the bracket 32 is connected to the roof crossbar 1 through the tolerance adjuster 4.

[0099] In some examples, as shown in Figures 19-20, when tolerance adjuster 4 has a claw 411, a claw hole may be provided on bracket 32 or roof crossbar 1 for passage of claw 411. For example, as shown in Figures 19-20, since bracket 32 is more convenient for providing a claw hole than roof crossbar 1, a claw hole may be provided on bracket 32. The claw hole on bracket 32 may be referred to as second claw hole 32a.

[0100] In some examples, as shown in Figures 19-21, to facilitate connection between the bracket 32 and the bolt 5, the bracket 32 is provided with a nut receiving portion 32b. The nut 7, which may be a projection welding nut, may be disposed in the nut receiving portion 32b. A first mounting hole 32c for the bolt 5 to pass through is provided in the center of the nut receiving portion 32b.

[0101] In order to avoid interference between the bottom wall 311 of the detector 31 and the claw 411 , in some examples, as shown in FIG. 21 , a gap 30 is provided between the bracket 32 and the bottom wall 311 of the detector 31 , and the claw 411 passes through the bracket 32 and extends into the gap 30 .

[0102] In some examples, as shown in Figures 19-21, the bracket 32 includes a first support plate 321, a connecting plate 322, and a second support plate 323, which are connected in sequence. The first support plate 321 is fixedly connected to the plurality of mounting feet 3121 of the detector 31. The connecting plate 322 is opposite the side wall 312 of the detector 31. The second support plate 323 is opposite the bottom wall 311 of the detector 31, and a gap 30 is formed between the second support plate 323 and the bottom wall 311 of the detector 31.

[0103] In some examples, as shown in FIG. 19 , the first support plate 321 and the second support plate 323 are parallel and perpendicular to the connecting plate 322 .

[0104] Of course, in other examples, the portion through which the claw 411 passes, that is, the portion of the bracket 32 where the second claw hole 32a and the nut receiving portion 32b are provided, may be located outside the detector 31, rather than facing the detector 31. In this case, since the bottom wall 311 of the detector 31 will not block the claw 411, the gap 30 may not be provided between the bottom wall 311 of the detector 31 and the bracket 32.

[0105] The following is an exemplary description of the installation process and implementation of the detector 31.

[0106] In the first step, as shown in FIG16 , the detector 31 and the bracket 32 are positioned using a tool or self-positioning by the parts, and then connected using the first fastener 8. For example, as shown in FIG19 and FIG18 , the bracket 32 (first support plate 321) has a plurality (e.g., four) second mounting holes 32d, and the first fastener 8 passes through the second mounting holes 32d and the mounting feet 3121 on the detector 31.

[0107] In some examples, as shown in Figures 18 and 19, the first support plate 321 includes a first sub-support plate 3211 and a second sub-support plate 3212. The first sub-support plate 3211 extends toward the rear side of the detector 31. There are two second sub-support plates 3212, which are located on the left and right sides of the detector 31, and extend toward the outside of the detector 31. The first sub-support plate 3211 may be provided with two second mounting holes 32d, and the two second mounting holes 32d are used to connect with the two mounting feet 3121 extending from the rear side of the detector 31. Each second sub-support plate 3212 has a second mounting hole 32d, and the second mounting hole 32d is used to connect with the mounting foot 3121 extending from the left or right side of the detector 31.

[0108] In the second step, as shown in FIG16 , the bracket 32 and the trim panel 2 are positioned by tooling or self-positioning of parts, and then connected by a second fastener 9 .

[0109] For example, as shown in FIG. 18 to FIG. 20 , a plurality of third mounting holes 32 e are further provided on the bracket 32 (first support plate 321 ), and the second fastener 9 passes through the plurality of third mounting holes 32 e and is fixedly connected to the trim panel 2 .

[0110] For example, as shown in FIG. 18 and FIG. 19 , a third mounting hole 32 e is provided on the first sub-support plate 3211 , and a third mounting hole 32 e is provided on each second sub-support plate 3212 .

[0111] The third step, as shown in Figure 21, is to connect the tolerance adjuster 4 to the bracket 32. For example, as shown in Figures 20 and 21, the claw 411 of the tolerance adjuster 4 is inserted into the second claw hole 32a of the bracket 32 to achieve preliminary fixation of the tolerance adjuster 4.

[0112] Among them, the first to third steps mentioned above can be packaged on the subassembly line in the final assembly workshop, which can reduce the number of operating steps on the final assembly workshop line.

[0113] In the fourth step, as shown in Figure 16 , the trim panel 2 and roof crossbar 1 are positioned using tooling or self-positioning, and then connected using the third fastener 10. At this point, the relative position of the detector 31 and the roof crossbar 1 is determined. The trim panel 2 and roof crossbar 1 can be connected on the assembly line, and the trim panel 2 and roof crossbar 1 can have eight connection points for a fixed connection.

[0114] In the fifth step, as shown in FIG. 21 , the bracket 32 is connected to the roof crossbar 1 through the tolerance adjuster 4 . When the tolerance adjuster 4 is tightened, the height difference between the bracket 32 and the roof crossbar 1 can be automatically absorbed.

[0115] For example, as shown in FIG21 , a bolt 5 is sequentially passed through the roof crossbar 1, the inner tube 42, and the outer tube 41, and then tightened into a nut 7 provided on the bracket 32. During the rotation of the bolt 5, the lengths of the outer tube 41 and the inner tube 42 automatically extend and adapt to the installation space between the bracket 32 and the roof crossbar 1.

[0116] The embodiments of the present disclosure do not limit the number of tolerance adjusters 4. In some examples, as shown in Figures 9, 10, 12, and 17, there are multiple tolerance adjusters 4, and the multiple tolerance adjusters 4 include at least three tolerance adjusters 4 distributed in a triangular shape.
