Description

[0001] DESCRIPTION

[0002] SYSTEM FOR FIXING A MOTOR-REDUCER ASSEMBLY TO A LOCOMOTIVE BOGIE

[0003] Technical sector

[0004] The present invention is related to the railway industry, and more specifically to motorized locomotive bogies.

[0005] State of the art

[0006] Each locomotive bogie has corresponding traction motors that transmit traction / electric braking forces independently to each axle through a gearbox. Accordingly, the transmission assembly on each axle consists of a traction motor and a gearbox. A mounted axle consists of the wheels, the axle itself, the journal bearings, the traction motor, and the gearbox, preferably of the cannon-box type, which is coupled to the wheel axle through a tube called a "suspension tube."

[0007] The motor-reducer assembly rests on its own wheel axle and is connected to the bogie for support so that the motor is fixed to the bogie and applies traction to the wheel axle.

[0008] An example of this solution is Utility Model CN206856721, which discloses a motor with a lower support that is coupled to an upper support of the bogie by means of a reaction arm or rod that allows a certain movement between the frame of the bogie and the motor, in order to absorb the primary suspension movements of the bogie.

[0009] Currently, the majority of diesel-electric freight locomotive bogies are concentrated in two locomotive families with two different bogie types, representing a significant market share.

[0010] The bogies of these two families of locomotives have different solutions for mounting the reaction rods and the fall-prevention safety devices. This means that the motor-reducer assembly needs to have a different design depending on whether it is used on a type A or type B bogie. For type A bogies, the reaction rod mounting bracket is located on the bottom of the bogie itself, while for type B bogies, the bracket is located on the top of the bogie.

[0011] This situation translates into the fact that, when it is necessary to rehabilitate a locomotive in use, it is necessary to have the appropriate motor-reducer set for that specific locomotive bogie model, requiring at least two different motor-reducer sets, one for locomotives with type A bogie and the other for type B, which increases the complexity of supply, transport, storage, higher costs, etc.

[0012] In view of the described disadvantage or limitation presented by the solutions currently existing, a solution is necessary that allows the integration of the motor-reducer assembly in any of the two families of locomotives previously referenced, both in use and newly manufactured, and whose reaction rods and anti-fall safety means adapt to the configuration, sizing and arrangement of the solutions of those two aforementioned bogie models and others with similar configurations.

[0013] Object of the invention

[0014] In order to meet this objective and solve the technical problems discussed so far, in addition to providing additional advantages that may be derived later, the present invention provides a system for fixing a motor-reducer assembly for its integration into a locomotive bogie by means of a reaction rod fixing one end of the rod to a fixing support for the motor-reducer assembly, and the other end of the rod to a fixing bracket for the bogie, in which the motor-reducer assembly comprises at least one upper fixing support, and a lower fixing support for its fixing to the reaction rod depending on the type of bogie used.

[0015] This configuration offers a significant advantage by providing a versatile motor-reducer assembly system for integration into both Type A bogies, where the mounting bracket is located at the bottom of the bogie, and Type B bogies, where the mounting bracket is located at the top of the bogie. This makes it possible to refurbish an existing locomotive without requiring a different motor for each case. Any dimensional differences that may exist between different bogies can be compensated for by configuring the dimensions of the reaction rod used for their attachment, so that the rod design can be different depending on whether the motor-reducer assembly is mounted on a Type A bogie or a Type B bogie.

[0016] The motor-reducer assembly coupled to the wheel axle can be easily coupled to different bogies thanks to its versatility.

[0017] According to another feature of the invention, the reaction rod has an arched configuration, corresponding to the circular configuration of the motor. This configuration allows for greater flexibility in the attachment, preventing the rod or arm from striking the motor during the bogie's primary suspension movements, impeding its movement and damaging it, even causing the rod to break, as could occur in known solutions in which the attachment rod or arm is straight.

[0018] According to another aspect of the invention, the gearmotor comprises fall-prevention safety means for the hypothetical event of a reaction rod breaking. This is a passive safety element known as a "safety catch." This element would prevent the motor-reducer assembly from falling onto the track and the subsequent derailment of the locomotive by being supported on the bogie by said safety means. In the present invention, said fall-prevention safety means comprise at least one upper fitting slot and a lower fitting slot corresponding to a fitting protrusion of each respective bogie model. Preferably, the motor has three protrusions that form an upper slot and a lower slot, the dimensions of the slot corresponding to the dimensions of the safety protrusions of the bogies. Thus, in the event of failure of the retaining rod, the configuration of the safety means of the gearmotor of the present invention is valid for a type A bogie in which there is an anti-fall safety fitting protrusion on the bogie in correspondence with the lower fitting slot of the safety means in the motor housing; and for the case of a type B bogie in which there is an anti-fall safety fitting protrusion on the bogie in correspondence with the upper fitting slot of the anti-fall safety means. Therefore, the system object of the invention provides versatility of attachment to different bogies and also guarantees a compatible anti-fall safety solution for each bogie. Description of the figures.

[0026] Detailed description of the invention

[0027] In view of the aforementioned figures, and in accordance with the adopted numbering, one can observe in them a non-limiting example of a preferred embodiment of the invention, which comprises the parts and elements indicated and described in detail below.

[0028] For the rehabilitation of locomotives, the traction motor-reducer assembly is changed and the bogie is maintained so that it can continue to be used with minimal modifications. Thus, as can be seen in figure 1, in this case it is a bogie (3) with three axles (5) of wheels (6) of a locomotive in which each of the motor-reducer assemblies (1) coupled to the axle (6) of wheels (5) and fixed to the bogie (3) can be seen.

[0029] The most commonly used bogies (3, 3') being those corresponding to type A according to the bogie (3), and those of type B according to the bogie (3'), the present invention presents a versatility of fixing to both models.

[0030] In figures 2, 5 and 6 an example of fixing a motor-reducer assembly (1) of the invention can be seen for its integration into a bogie (3) of type A. As seen in figure 5 prior to assembly, the bogie (3) has its fixing support (3.1) in the lower part of the bogie (3) itself. Thus, in this case the motor-reducer assembly (1) is fixed to the bogie (3), first fixing the upper part (4.1) of a reaction rod (4) to an upper fixing support (2.1) of the housing (2) of the motor-reducer (1), and then fixing the lower part (4.2) of the reaction rod (4) to a lower fixing bracket (3.1) of the bogie (3). In this way, with the reaction rod (4) dimensionally configured to adapt to the dimensions of the bogie (3), the assembly of the corresponding motor-reducer assembly (1) is achieved in the manner that has been conventionally carried out. But, in addition, the fixing system object of the invention allows said motor-reducer assembly (1) to also be fixed to a bogie (3') of type B without modifications, or without more modifications than that of the corresponding reaction rod (4).

[0031] As can be seen in Figures 7 and 8 of an example of fixing a motor-reducer assembly (1) of the invention to a bogie (3') of the type B, in this case the bogie (3') has its fixing support (3.T) in the upper part of the bogie (3') itself. Thus, in this other case the motor-reducer (1) is fixed to the bogie (3'), first fixing the lower part (4.2') of a reaction rod (4') to a lower fixing support (2.2) of the housing (2) of the motor-reducer (1), and then fixing the upper part (4.T) of the reaction rod (4') to an upper fixing bracket (3.1') of the bogie (3'). Likewise, the reaction rod (4') must be dimensionally configured to adapt to the dimensions of the bogie (3'), but the motor-reducer assembly (1) will not suffer alterations.

[0032] Preferably, the fixing supports (2.1, 2.2) of the motor-reducer assembly (1) are arranged in the housing (2) of the motor-reducer assembly (1).

[0033] Preferably, the reaction rod (4, 4') has an arched configuration such that, as can be seen in figures 4 and 6, once assembled it does not come into contact with its surface against the casing (2) of the motor-reducer assembly (1), the concave part of the rod (4) being oriented towards the motor-reducer assembly (1), thus avoiding interference of this element with the casing (2) of the motor-reducer assembly (1) during operation.

[0034] According to an alternative of the invention, it is provided that the housing (2) of the motor-reducer assembly (1) comprises anti-fall safety means (2.3) as can be seen in figures 3 and 4.

[0035] Thus, in the event of a hypothetical structural failure of the reaction rod (4), as can be seen in figure 9, and in relation to the fixing of the motor-reducer assembly (1) to the bogie (3), a safety projection (3.2) of the bogie (3) will fit into a lower fitting slot (2.3.2) of the casing (2), leaving the motor-reducer (1) suspended without the risk of it falling and causing an accident.

[0036] These safety means (2.3) will also be valid for the case of fixing the motor-reducer assembly (1) to the bogie (3'), such that a safety projection (3.2') of the bogie (3') will fit into a lower fitting slot (2.3.2) of the casing (2), leaving the motor-reducer (1) secured against its fall.

[0037] Therefore, the fixing system object of the invention provides a versatile solution for fixing a motor-reducer assembly (1) to different types of bogies without requiring a complete modification of the motor, or having different types of motor for each type of bogie.
