Abstract
Description
Hybrid drive module
[0001] This application claims the benefit of priority from Republic of Korea Patent Application No. 10-2023-0099224, dated July 28, 2023, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.
[0002] The present invention relates to a hybrid drive module capable of improving the cooling performance of a stator.
[0003] A drive module used in a hybrid vehicle has a structure that transmits the power of a motor and engine to a transmission. The hybrid drive module includes a main housing that houses a motor, an input member that is rotatably installed in the main housing and receives the output of the engine, and an output member that is rotatably installed in the main housing and transmits the output of the engine and motor to the transmission.
[0004] The above motor includes a stator fixed to the main housing and a rotor installed in a rotor hub rotatably installed in the main housing.
[0005] The above input member is selectively connected to the rotor hub via an engine clutch. The engine clutch constrains the rotation of the input member and the rotor hub when the engine power is transmitted to the rotor hub, and releases the rotation of the input member and the rotor hub when the engine is not to act as a load on the rotor hub.
[0006] The above rotor hub is connected to the output member through a power transmission unit. The power transmission unit may have a structure that directly connects the rotor hub and the output member, or a structure that includes a torque converter and a lock-up clutch.
[0007] Compared to the standard powertrain connecting the engine and transmission, the hybrid drive module incorporates an additional motor and, consequently, requires a greater number of components, taking up significant space. Therefore, ongoing efforts are being made to design hybrid drive modules more compactly.
[0008] Since the hybrid drive module is a component that generates and transmits rotational power, if it is designed to be compact in the radial direction, it will have a structure that is disadvantageous for its original function of generating and transmitting torque.
[0009] On the other hand, if a compact design is made in the axial direction, the original function of generating and transmitting torque can be sufficiently exerted, but it is difficult to secure the axial dimension compared to the radial dimension of each part, so there is a high possibility that each part will be deformed by the force applied in the axial direction.
[0010] Especially in rotating structures like hybrid drive modules, power connections and disconnections often occur axially. Therefore, each component must be sufficiently strong to prevent axial sagging due to these forces.
[0011] In particular, the turbine plate of the torque converter or the piston plate of the lock-up clutch provided in the power transmission unit is advantageous in securing transmission torque as the radial dimension is larger, but there is a concern that large deformation may occur due to the pressure of the fluid flowing through the torus or the pressure of the fluid pressing the piston plate being applied to it.
[0012] In addition, the motor rotates the rotor as power is applied to the stator. A bobbin with a coil wound around it is arranged along the circumference of the rotor of the stator. The bobbin (15) is the part of the stator that has the highest temperature due to the electrical resistance of the coil. In order to cool the stator, a cooling device is installed in which a cooling channel through which a coolant flows is formed on the outer surface of the stator. However, although the cooling device cools the outer surface of the stator, it may be difficult to sufficiently cool the bobbins arranged on both axial sides of the stator.
[0013] To improve the cooling performance of the stator, a plurality of cooling fins may be formed protrudingly in the cooling channel of the cooling device. While the cooling performance of the stator is improved as the plurality of cooling fins exchange heat with the cooling medium, it may be difficult to sufficiently cool the bobbin.
[0014] Additionally, when the rotor rotates, a fluid medium such as air or oil flows radially around the rotor. While this fluid medium can cool the stator bobbin slightly as it flows radially due to the centrifugal force of the rotor, most fluids flow radially and do little to cool the stator. Consequently, there is a limit to sufficiently enhancing cooling performance by the fluid medium flowing due to the rotational force of the rotor.
[0015] The background technology of the present invention is disclosed in Korean Patent Publication No. 2023-0100813 (published on July 6, 2023).
[0016] The present invention has been devised to solve the above-described problems, and aims to provide a hybrid drive module.
[0017] The present invention aims to provide a hybrid drive module in which the driving efficiency of a motor can be improved as the cooling performance of a stator is improved.
[0018] The present invention aims to provide a hybrid drive module in which a fluid medium in a fluid space can be cooled by directly contacting a plurality of bobbins having the highest temperature in a stator.
[0019] The present invention aims to provide a hybrid drive module capable of reducing the resistance of a fluid medium applied to a blade and reducing the flow noise of the fluid medium.
[0020] The technical objectives of the present invention are not limited to the purposes mentioned above. Other objectives and advantages of the present invention not mentioned above can be understood through the following description and will be more clearly understood through the embodiments of the present invention. Furthermore, it will be readily apparent that the objectives and advantages of the present invention can be realized by the means and combinations thereof set forth in the claims.
[0021] In order to solve the above-described problem, the hybrid drive module of the present invention includes: a torque converter including a turbine that rotates together with a cover and an impeller facing the turbine; a rotor hub connected to the cover so as to rotate together with the cover; a rotor installed in the rotor hub; a stator installed in a main housing so as to surround the rotor; and a fluid guide unit installed in at least one of the cover and the main housing and diverting a fluid medium flowing by the rotational force of the rotor toward the stator to cool the stator.
[0022] The above fluid medium guide unit may be arranged opposite the stator.
[0023] The above fluid medium guide may include a plurality of blades connected to the cover and arranged along the circumference of the cover.
[0024] The above blade may be formed to be inclined in the opposite direction to the rotational direction of the cover.
[0025] The above blade may be formed to have a height that increases from the centripetal direction of the cover to the centrifugal direction.
[0026] The above blade can be formed so that the height of the centrifugal end is 1.5 to 5 times higher than the height of the centripetal end.
[0027] The blade may include a blade connecting portion connected to the cover; a curved portion extending from the blade connecting portion and formed to be rounded in a direction opposite to the rotational direction of the cover; and a pressure surface portion extending from the curved portion and formed to be inclined in a direction opposite to the rotational direction of the cover, the area of which increases as it goes in the centrifugal direction.
[0028] Based on the vertical direction on the surface of the cover, the inclination angle of the pressure surface portion can be formed to be greater than the inclination angle of the blade connection portion.
[0029] The inclination angle of the above fluid medium guide section can be formed to become larger as it goes from the centripetal end to the centrifugal end.
[0030] The above blade can be formed to be inclined with respect to the radius of the cover.
[0031] The above blades may be positioned such that the centrifugal end is further away from the radius of the cover than the centripetal end.
[0032] The above blades may be arranged so that the centrifugal end is closer to the radius of the cover than the centripetal end.
[0033] The above fluid guide unit may include a baffle installed in at least one of the cover and the main housing, formed in an arc shape facing the stator, and having a shape that is bent toward the stator as it goes in the centrifugal direction.
[0034] The above baffle may be formed to be round in the radial direction of the main housing.
[0035] The fluid medium guide may include a plurality of blades installed on the rotor hub so as to rotate together with the rotor hub.
[0036] The above fluid guide unit may include a plurality of blades connected to the cover and arranged along the circumferential direction of the cover; and a baffle connected to the main housing, formed in a ring shape so as to face the stator, and having a shape that bends toward the stator as it goes in the centrifugal direction.
[0037] The above blade may be formed to be inclined in the opposite direction to the rotational direction of the cover.
[0038] The above blade may be formed to have a height that increases from the centripetal direction of the cover to the centrifugal direction.
[0039] The blade may include a blade connecting portion connected to the cover; a curved portion extending from the blade connecting portion and formed to be rounded in a direction opposite to the rotational direction of the cover; and a pressure surface portion extending from the curved portion and formed to be inclined in a direction opposite to the rotational direction of the cover, the area of which increases as it goes in the centrifugal direction.
[0040] The above blade can be formed to be inclined with respect to the radius of the cover.
[0041] The above baffle may be formed to be round in the radial direction of the main housing.
[0042] The above fluid guide portion may include a concave portion formed on the front cover so as to face the stator; and a convex portion protruding toward the stator on the radially outer side of the concave portion.
[0043] According to the present invention, since the fluid medium guide portion diverts the fluid medium in the fluid space flowing by the rotational force of the rotor toward the stator, the stator can be cooled by the fluid medium.
[0044] According to the present invention, since most of the fluid medium flows on both axial sides of the stator, the cooling performance of the stator can be further improved.
[0045]
[0046] *According to the present invention, as the cooling performance of the stator is improved, the driving efficiency of the motor can also be improved.
[0047] According to the present invention, since a plurality of bobbins are exposed on both axial sides of the stator, the fluid medium in the fluid space can be cooled by directly contacting the plurality of bobbins having the highest temperature in the stator.
[0048] According to the present invention, since all of the plurality of blades are inclined in the opposite direction to the rotational direction of the cover, the plurality of blades can push the fluid medium toward the stator while rotating.
[0049] According to the present invention, since the blade is tilted in the opposite direction to the rotational direction of the cover, air resistance applied to the blade can be reduced.
[0050] According to the present invention, since the baffle is arranged in at least one of the front cover and the main housing, the fluid medium flowing in the centrifugal direction when the rotor rotates can be diverted toward the axial end of the stator.
[0051] According to the present invention, since the baffles are formed in a continuous shape on the same radius based on the rotation center of the rotor, the flow noise of the fluid medium can be significantly reduced.

[0101] The hybrid drive module of the embodiment is symmetrical with respect to the axis. In addition, for the convenience of explanation, the direction along the longitudinal direction of the axis forming the center of rotation of the hybrid drive module is called the axial direction. In other words, the front-back direction or axial direction is a direction parallel to the rotation axis, and the front (front) means a direction toward a power source, such as the engine, and the rear (back) means a direction toward another direction, such as the transmission. Therefore, the front (front side) means a surface that faces forward, and the rear (back side) means a surface that faces rearward.
[0102] The term "radial direction" refers to a direction approaching the center or moving away from the center along a straight line passing through the center of the rotational axis on a plane perpendicular to the rotational axis. The direction moving away from the center in the radial direction is called the centrifugal direction, and the direction moving closer to the center is called the centripetal direction.
[0103] The term "circumferential direction" or "circumferential direction" refers to the direction surrounding the axis of rotation. The term "outer circumference" refers to the outer circumference, and the term "inner circumference" refers to the inner circumference. Therefore, the outer circumference refers to the surface facing away from the axis of rotation, and the term "inner circumference" refers to the surface facing the axis of rotation.
[0104] A circumferential side surface refers to a surface whose normal faces in the circumferential direction.
[0105] [Overall structure of the hybrid drive module]
[0106] The overall structure of a preferred embodiment of a hybrid drive module according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3 below.
[0107] FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view schematically illustrating a first embodiment of a hybrid drive module according to the present invention, FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view schematically illustrating about half of the first embodiment of a hybrid drive module according to the present invention based on the center of rotation, and FIG. 3 is a perspective view schematically illustrating a rotor and a fluid medium guide in a hybrid drive module according to the present invention.
[0108] The hybrid drive module includes a drive shaft (22) which is an input member (22) that receives power from an engine, a motor (12) including a stator (14) and a rotor (16), a main housing (10) in which the stator (14) is installed, a rotor hub (20) in which the rotor (16) is installed and rotates together with the rotor (16), an engine clutch (24) that selectively connects the drive shaft (22) and the rotor hub (20) so that the power of the drive shaft (22) is transmitted to the rotor hub (20), and a power transmission unit that is disposed between the rotor hub (20) and an output member (50) and transmits the rotational power of the rotor hub (20) to the output member (50). The above hybrid drive module is installed in at least one of the cover (26) and the main housing (10), and includes a fluid guide (100) that diverts the fluid medium flowing by the rotational force of the rotor (16) toward the stator (14) to cool the stator (14).
[0109] The above rotor hub (20) includes a radial extension portion (20a) extending radially, and an axial extension portion (20b) extending axially from the centrifugal side of the radial extension portion (20a). The rotor (16) is installed on the outer periphery of the axial extension portion (20b).
[0110] The above drive shaft (22) extends axially from the front center of the hybrid drive module and is rotatably connected to the center of the radial extension (20a) of the rotor hub (20).
[0111] The above rotor hub (20) and drive shaft (22) are rotatably supported on the main housing (10) via bearings (23).
[0112] An engine clutch (24) is installed between the drive shaft (22) and the rotor hub (20) in the radial direction. Accordingly, the drive shaft (22) and the rotor hub (20) may be a one-way clutch (34) that allows relative rotation in one direction but does not allow relative rotation in the other direction. If the drive shaft (22) rotates in one direction and transmits power to the rotor hub (20), the one-way clutch (34) does not allow the drive shaft (22) to rotate relative to the rotor hub (20) in the one direction but allows it to rotate in the other direction.
[0113] A cover (26) is integrally connected to the rotor hub (20). The cover (26) includes a front cover (27) whose diameter increases toward the rear, and a rear cover (28) connected to the front cover (27) whose diameter decreases toward the rear.
[0114] The front cover (27) is joined to a portion of the radial extension (20a) of the rotor hub (20), forms a portion of the axial extension (20b) of the rotor hub (20), and extends rearward. In addition, it extends radially and rearwardly from the rear of the rotor (16). The front cover (27) extends radially not only to the rotor (16) but also to the vicinity of or beyond the outer circumference of the stator (14).
[0115] The inner wall surface of the front cover (27) provides a surface capable of friction coupling with the friction member (63) of the lock-up clutch (60). This surface is preferably positioned radially away from the rotation axis. In an embodiment, the surface is provided at the outermost side in the radial direction.
[0116] The rear cover (28) may be manufactured in a shell shape that is rearwardly facing and has a reduced radius and is suitable for installing the blades (110) of the impeller (31). In addition, a pump drive hub (29) is connected to the center of the rear cover (28) and extends rearward. The pump drive hub (29) may provide power to operate a fluid pump (not shown) of the transmission to circulate transmission oil into the space inside the cover (26).
[0117] The above power transmission unit is arranged in an internal space defined by the rotor hub (20) and cover (26). The internal space is provided at the rear of the rotor hub (20).
[0118] The power transmission unit includes a torus that transmits the rotational force transmitted from the rotor hub (20) through the cover (26) to the output member (50), and a lock-up clutch (60) that directly transmits the rotational force transmitted from the rotor hub (20) to the output member (50).
[0119] The above torus may be a torque converter (30) including an impeller (31), a turbine (32), and a reactor (33). However, the present invention does not exclude the case where the torus is a fluid clutch including an impeller (31) and a turbine (32) without a reactor (33).
[0120] The above torque converter (30) includes an impeller (31) installed on the front of the rear cover (28), a turbine (32) positioned in front of the impeller (31) and facing the impeller (31), and a reactor (33) positioned between the impeller (31) and the turbine (32).
[0121] The above turbine (32) is installed on the rear side of the turbine plate (40). The turbine plate (40) extends from the turbine (32) in a centripetal direction and is integrally fixed to the output member (50) using a rivet or the like.
[0122] The above reactor (33) is installed in a fixed position (35) so as to be rotatable in one direction and constrained from rotating in the other direction through a one-way clutch (34). The fixed position (35) can be connected to a transmission and maintained in a fixed state.
[0123] A thrust bearing is interposed between the output member (50), the reactor (33), and the rear cover (28) in the axial direction to regulate their axial positions and support relative rotation therebetween.
[0124] The above lock-up clutch (60) is arranged axially between the rotor hub (20) and the output member (50).
[0125] The above lock-up clutch (60) includes a piston plate (61) extending radially and a friction member (63) provided on the piston plate (61).
[0126] In the embodiment, the friction member (63) is exemplified as a single-plate clutch. A single-plate clutch may be disadvantageous compared to a multi-plate clutch in terms of securing a friction surface, but is advantageous in that it can be installed in a compact space in the axial direction.
[0127] The above friction member (63) may be positioned as far radially from the center of rotation as possible to secure transmission torque. In addition, to secure axial force applied to the friction member (63), the radius of the piston plate (61) that presses the friction member (63) may be secured as much as possible.
[0128] According to an embodiment, the piston plate (61) has a long radius extending from the center of rotation to the centrifugal end of the cover (26). In addition, the friction member (63) is arranged at the centrifugal end of the piston plate (61) to maximize the transmission torque.
[0129] The friction surface of the friction member (63) of the above piston plate (61) faces forward and faces the rear surface of the inner wall of the front cover (27).
[0130] The above piston plate (61) is connected to the output member (50) through a torsional damper (70). The torsional damper (70) is axially arranged between the piston plate (61) and the output member (50).
[0131] The above torsional damper (70) includes a damper input member (72) that is fixed to the piston plate (61) and slides and rotates integrally with the piston plate (61), a spring (71) that is compressed or decompressed in the circumferential direction by the damper input member (72), and a damper output member (50) that is connected to the output member (50) and receives the rotational force of the damper input member (72) through the spring (71).
[0132] In the embodiment, the output member (50) functions as a damper output member (50).
[0133] Of course, the rotational force fluctuation is absorbed through the torsional damper (70), but the piston plate (61) actually rotates together with the output member (50).
[0134] In the internal space of the cover (26), if the hydraulic pressure of the space between the piston plate (61) and the rotor hub (20) and the front cover (27), i.e., the space in front of the piston plate (61), is greater than the hydraulic pressure of the space behind it, the piston plate (61) moves rearward, and the friction member (63) is separated from the front cover (27).
[0135] On the other hand, if the hydraulic pressure in the rear space of the piston plate (61) is greater than the hydraulic pressure in the front space, the piston plate (61) moves forward, and the friction member (63) is frictionally coupled with the front cover (27) and rotates as one unit.
[0136] In a situation where the rotational speed (input side speed) of the rotor hub (20) and cover (26) is higher than the rotational speed (output side speed) of the output member (50) and turbine plate (40), such as a situation where acceleration occurs when a stationary vehicle starts, transmission oil is supplied to the hybrid drive module through the space between the rotor hub (20) and the piston plate (61). Accordingly, the pressure in the front space (61a) of the piston plate (61) increases, and the piston plate (61) moves rearward. Accordingly, the lockup clutch (60) maintains the state in which the direct connection between the rotor hub (20) and the output member (50) is released.
[0137] The oil supplied in this way fills the space where the torque converter (30) is provided, and some of it returns to the transmission through the space between the rear cover (28) and the reactor (33).
[0138] Then, the oil flowing through the torus is transmitted to the turbine (32) by the impeller (31) rotating at the input speed, so that the output speed becomes close to the input speed.
[0139] When the output speed approaches the input speed, the transmission supplies oil to the space between the output member (50) and the fixed end (35). Then, the pressure in the rear space (61b) of the piston plate (61) increases, and the piston plate (61) moves forward. Accordingly, the lockup clutch (60) couples the rotor hub (20) and the output member (50) directly.
[0140] Then, the input speed and the output speed become substantially identical. Although there may be some fluctuation in the magnitude of the engine's rotational force, when the rotational force of the rotor hub (20) is transmitted to the output member (50) through the piston plate (61), the torsional damper (70) flattens it and transmits it to the output member (50).
[0141] [Motor and fluid guide]
[0142] The structure of the motor and fluid guide unit constituting the hybrid drive module of the following embodiment is described in detail.
[0143] FIG. 4 is a front view schematically illustrating a fluid medium guide in a hybrid drive module according to the present invention, FIG. 5 is a side view schematically illustrating a fluid medium guide in a hybrid drive module according to the present invention, and FIG. 6 is an enlarged view schematically illustrating a fluid medium guide in a hybrid drive module according to the present invention.
[0144] Referring to FIGS. 4 to 6, the motor (12) includes a rotor (16) installed on the radial outer surface of a rotor hub (20) and a stator (14) fixed to a main housing (10) so as to surround the rotor (16). The rotor (16) is installed on the inside of the stator (14) so as to be concentric with the stator (14).
[0145] A mounting portion (27a) having the same radius as the outer surface of the rotor hub (20) is formed on the front cover (26). The mounting portion (27a) may be formed in a ring shape in the circumferential direction. The inner surface of the front side of the rotor (16) may be fixed to the outer surface of the rotor hub (20), and the inner surface of the rear side of the rotor (16) may be fixed to the mounting portion (27a) of the front cover (26).
[0146] The rotor (16) includes a rotor body (16a) that is mounted on the outer surface of the rotor hub (20) and the mounting portion (27a), and a plurality of magnets (16b) that are installed along the circumferential direction of the rotor body (16a). The magnets (16b) may be installed so as to be exposed on the outer surface of the rotor body (16a) or may be embedded in the interior of the rotor body (16a). The magnets (16b) may also be directly magnetized to the rotor body (16a). The magnets (16b) may include N-pole magnets and S-pole magnets that are alternately arranged along the circumferential direction.
[0147] A fixing ring (18) is installed on the outer surface of the rotor hub (20) to fix the axial position of the rotor (16). The fixing ring (18) is in close contact with the front side of the rotor body (16a) and can be fixed to the outer surface of the rotor hub (20).
[0148] The stator (14) is installed to surround the outer circumference of the rotor (16). The stator (14) is fixed to the main housing (10). The stator (14) includes a plurality of bobbins (15) arranged along the circumferential direction and on which coils are wound. The plurality of bobbins (15) may be installed to be exposed on both axial sides of the stator (14). As power is applied to the plurality of bobbins (15), the rotor (16) rotates. The rotor (16) rotates together with the rotor hub (20) and the cover (26).
[0149] A cooling device (19) may be installed on the outer surface of the stator (14) to cool the stator (14). A cooling channel (not shown) may be formed in the cooling device (19) to allow a cooling medium such as coolant to flow. This cooling device (19) may be installed in various forms.
[0150] A flow space (17) is provided on the axial front side of the rotor hub (20) and on both axial sides of the rotor (16) and the stator (14) through which a flow medium can flow. The flow medium may be air flowing in the flow space (17). The flow medium may include oil flowing into the flow space (17). The hybrid drive module may be applied with an air cooling system that substantially cools the stator (14) by flowing air.
[0151] The fluid guide (100) can be installed in at least one of the cover (26) and the main housing (10). That is, the fluid guide (100) can be installed in only one of the cover (26) and the main housing (10), or can be installed in both the cover (26) and the main housing (10). The fluid guide (100) cools the stator (14) by diverting the fluid in the fluid space (17) flowing by the rotational force of the rotor (16) toward the stator (14). At this time, the fluid is diverted toward the stator (14) while flowing along the circumferential direction of the cover (26). Accordingly, since most of the fluid flows to both axial sides of the stator (14), the cooling performance of the stator (14) can be further improved. As the cooling performance of the stator (14) is improved, the driving efficiency of the motor (12) can also be improved.
[0152] FIG. 7 is a front view schematically illustrating one fluid medium guide formed on a front plate in a hybrid drive module according to the present invention, FIGS. 8 and 9 are perspective views schematically illustrating a first embodiment of a fluid medium guide according to the present invention, FIGS. 10 and 11 are perspective views schematically illustrating a state in which blades constituting a fluid medium guide according to the present invention are formed to be inclined with respect to a radius, and FIG. 12 is a six-sided view schematically illustrating blades constituting a fluid medium guide according to the present invention.
[0153] Referring to FIGS. 7 to 12, the fluid guide (100) may be arranged to face one or both axial sides of the stator (14). A structure in which the fluid guide (100) is arranged to face only the axial rear side of the stator (14) will first be described.
[0154] The fluid medium guide (100) is connected to the cover (26) and may include a plurality of blades (110) arranged along the circumference of the cover (26). The stator (14) is fixed to the main housing (10) and does not rotate, and the cover (26) rotates together with the rotor hub (20) when the rotor (16) rotates. Since the plurality of blades (110) are arranged along the circumference of the cover (26), most of the fluid medium flowing in the centrifugal direction in the flow space (17) as the plurality of blades (110) rotate together with the cover (26) can be diverted to one side of the axial direction of the stator (14), thereby cooling the stator (14). In particular, since the plurality of bobbins (15) are exposed on both sides of the axial direction of the stator (14), the fluid medium in the flow space (17) can be cooled by directly contacting the plurality of bobbins (15) that are the highest temperature in the stator (14). Accordingly, Accordingly, the cooling performance of the stator (14) can be improved.
[0155] The plurality of blades (110) may be formed to be inclined in the opposite direction to the rotational direction of the cover (26). That is, all of the plurality of blades (110) may be inclined in the opposite direction to the rotational direction of the cover (26). Accordingly, as the blades (110) rotate, the fluid medium may be pushed toward the stator (14). In addition, since the blades (110) are inclined in the opposite direction to the rotational direction of the cover (26), the air resistance applied to the blades (110) may be reduced.
[0156] When a plurality of blades (110) are formed to be inclined toward the rotational direction of the cover (26), the plurality of blades (110) cause the fluid medium to flow toward the cover (26). At this time, the flow rate of the fluid medium that exchanges heat with the stator (14) is significantly reduced, so that most of the fluid medium does not participate in the cooling of the stator (14) and escapes in the circumferential direction.
[0157] The plurality of blades (110) may be formed to have a higher height from the centripetal direction of the cover (26) toward the centrifugal direction (H1>H2: see FIG. 8). At this time, the fluid medium is diverted toward the axial end of the stator (14) by the plurality of blades (110), but tends to spread radially as it moves away from the rotation axis. By forming the height of the plurality of blades (110) to become higher as it moves toward the centrifugal direction, the pressure of the blades (110) can be increased as it moves toward the centrifugal direction. Accordingly, by limiting the radial spread of the fluid medium, the flow rate of the fluid medium flowing toward the axial end of the stator (14) can be further increased.
[0158] The blade (110) may be formed such that the height (H1) of the centrifugal end is 1.5 to 5 times higher than the height (H2) of the centrifugal end. In this case, as the height (H2) of the centrifugal end increases, the height (H1) of the centrifugal end can be decreased. In addition, as the height (H2) of the centrifugal end decreases, the height (H1) of the centrifugal end can be relatively increased.
[0159] The blade (110) includes a blade connecting portion (111), a curved portion (112), and a pressure surface portion (113). The blade connecting portion (111) is connected to the cover (26). The curved portion (112) extends from the blade connecting portion (111) and is formed to be rounded toward the opposite side of the rotational direction of the cover (26). The pressure surface portion (113) extends from the curved portion (112), is formed to be inclined toward the opposite side of the rotational direction of the cover (26), and is formed to have a larger area as it goes in the centrifugal direction.
[0160] The blade connecting portion (111) may be formed parallel to the radius of the cover (26) or slightly inclined. In addition, the blade connecting portion (111) may be formed perpendicular to the surface of the cover (26) or slightly inclined. The height of the blade connecting portion (111) may be the same overall or may be formed to gradually increase in the centrifugal direction. This blade connecting portion (111) is connected to the cover (26) and functions as a fixed end (35) of the blade (110). It performs the function of pushing up and separating the fluid medium near the surface of the cover (26) from the surface of the cover (26).
[0161] The curved portion (112) may be formed parallel to or inclined with respect to the blade connection portion (111). The width of the curved portion (112) may be formed so that the centripetal side is narrow and the centrifugal side is wide. In addition, the width of the curved portion (112) may be formed to have the same width overall. The curved portion (112) guides the fluid medium separated from the blade connection portion (111) to smoothly slide over the pressure surface portion (113). Accordingly, the flow resistance of the fluid medium applied to the blade (110) may be reduced.
[0162] The pressure surface (113) is inclined so that it moves away from the surface of the cover (26) as it goes toward the free end. The pressure surface (113) may be formed in a triangular shape whose area increases as it goes in the centrifugal direction. This pressure surface (113) increases the pressure applied to the fluid medium as it goes in the centrifugal direction.
[0163] With respect to the vertical direction of the surface of the cover (26), the inclination angle of the pressure surface portion (113) can be formed to be greater than the inclination angle of the blade connection portion (111). Accordingly, the flow resistance of the fluid applied to the pressure surface portion (113) can be relatively reduced.
[0164] Referring to FIG. 10, the blade (110) can be formed to be inclined in the radial direction with respect to the radius (R) of the cover (26).
[0165] For example, the blade (110) may have its centrifugal end positioned farther from the radius (R) of the cover (26) than its centrifugal end (116). Since the centrifugal end (116) is positioned relatively close to the radius (R) of the cover (26), when the blade (110) rotates, the centrifugal end (116) slightly precedes the centrifugal end (115) with respect to the radius (R) of the cover (26). Accordingly, with respect to the radius (R) of the cover (26), the fluid medium slides toward the centrifugal end (116) after coming into contact with the preceding centrifugal end (116), thereby allowing the fluid medium to flow more smoothly along the surface of the blade (110), thereby reducing the flow resistance of the fluid medium.
[0166] Referring to FIG. 11, the blade (110) may be arranged so that the centrifugal end (115) is closer to the radius (R) of the cover (26) than the centrifugal end (116). Since the centrifugal end (115) is arranged relatively close to the radius of the cover (26), when the blade (110) rotates, the centrifugal end (115) slightly precedes the centrifugal end (116) with respect to the radius (R) of the cover (26). Accordingly, with respect to the radius (R) of the cover (26), the fluid medium passing from the preceding blade (110) to the succeeding blade (110) can be first pushed from the centrifugal end (115) of the blade (110) toward the stator (14). Accordingly, since the pressure on the centrifugal end (115) side of the blade (110) is preemptively reduced, the inflow of the fluid medium toward the centripetal end (116) side of the blade (110) can be facilitated. That is, when viewed based on the radius (R) of the cover (26), by preemptively reducing the pressure on the centrifugal end (115) side where the fluid medium is discharged from the blade (110), the radial inflow of the fluid medium toward the centripetal end (116) side of the blade (110) can be induced more smoothly.
[0167] Next, a second embodiment of the fluid medium guide according to the present invention will be described.
[0168] FIGS. 13 and 14 are exploded views schematically illustrating a second embodiment of a fluid medium guide in a hybrid drive module according to the present invention, and FIGS. 15 and 16 are exploded views schematically illustrating a second embodiment of a fluid medium guide in a hybrid drive module according to the present invention.
[0169] Referring to FIGS. 13 to 16, the fluid guide (100) is installed in at least one of the cover (26) and the main housing (10), and includes a baffle (120) formed in an arc shape facing the stator (14) and having a shape that bends toward the stator (14) as it goes in the centrifugal direction.
[0170] The baffle (120) is formed to be round in the radial direction of the front cover (26). The baffle (120) can be installed on the front cover (26) so as to rotate together with the cover (26) when the rotor (16) rotates.
[0171] At this time, the baffle (120) can be formed with a width opposite to the radial center of the stator (14) at the axial lower side of the stator (14). Since this baffle (120) is arranged in a form that is inclined while lounging toward the stator (14) from the front cover (26), the fluid medium flowing in the centrifugal direction when the rotor (16) rotates can be diverted toward the axial end of the stator (14). The fluid medium flowing toward the axial end of the stator (14) can cool the bobbin (15) having the highest temperature in the stator (14).
[0172] In addition, since the baffle (120) is formed in a continuous shape on the same radius based on the center of rotation of the rotor (16), it has the characteristic of turning the fluid medium toward the stator (14) while generating almost no flow resistance to the fluid medium even when rotated together with the cover (26). Accordingly, when the baffle (120) is applied as a fluid medium guide (100), it can be advantageous in terms of noise.
[0173] Next, a third embodiment of the fluid medium guide according to the present invention will be described.
[0174] Fig. 17 is a cross-sectional view schematically illustrating a third embodiment of a fluid medium guide according to the present invention.
[0175] Referring to Fig. 17, the fluid guide (100) may include a blade (110) installed on one axial side of the rotor hub (20) so as to rotate together with the rotor hub (20). At this time, the blade (110) may be connected to the front end of the axial extension (20b) of the rotor hub (20). In addition, a plurality of blades (110) may be arranged along the circumferential direction of the rotor hub (20). Accordingly, the blades (110) may cool the front side of the stator (14) while rotating together with the rotor hub (20).
[0176] The above blade (110) can be installed in the axial extension (20b) of the rotor hub (20) in the same or similar form as the blade (110) of the first embodiment except for the installation position, so a detailed description of the blade (110) will be omitted.
[0177] Next, a fourth embodiment of the fluid medium guide according to the present invention will be described.
[0178] Fig. 18 is a cross-sectional view schematically illustrating a fourth embodiment of a fluid medium guide according to the present invention.
[0179] Referring to Fig. 18, the fluid guide (100) may include a baffle (120) installed in the main housing (10). The baffle (120) is formed in a ring shape so as to face the stator (14), and has a shape that is bent toward the stator (14) as it goes in the centrifugal direction.
[0180] The baffle (120) is formed to be round in the radial direction of the main housing (10) and remains stationary when the rotor (16) rotates. At this time, since the stator (14) is formed in a cylindrical shape to surround the outer side of the rotor (16), the fluid medium can flow in the entire circumferential direction of the stator (14) when the rotor (16) rotates. Accordingly, when the baffle (120) is formed in a ring shape to face the circumferential direction of the stator (14), the fluid medium can be supplied to the entire circumferential direction of the stator (14) when the rotor (16) rotates.
[0181] At this time, the width of the baffle (120) can be formed so as to face the radial center of the stator (14) from the axial lower side of the stator (14). Since this baffle (120) is fixed in a form that tilts while lounging toward the stator (14) from the main housing (10), the fluid medium flowing in the centrifugal direction when the rotor (16) rotates can change direction along the linearity of the baffle (120) and flow toward the axial end of the stator (14). The fluid medium flowing toward the axial end of the stator (14) can cool the bobbin (15) that has the highest temperature in the stator (14).
[0182] The above baffle (120) has the characteristic of diverting the fluid medium toward the stator (14) while generating almost no flow resistance in the fluid medium in a stationary state. Accordingly, when the baffle (120) fixed to the main housing (10) is applied as a fluid medium guide (100), it can be advantageous in terms of noise reduction.
[0183] Next, a fifth embodiment of the fluid medium guide according to the present invention will be described.
[0184] Fig. 19 is a cross-sectional view schematically illustrating a fifth embodiment of a fluid medium guide according to the present invention.
[0185] Referring to FIG. 19, the fluid guide (100) may include a pair of baffles (120) installed on the front cover (26) and the main housing (10), respectively. The pair of baffles (120) may be arranged to face each other on both axial sides of the stator (14).
[0186] Since the baffle (120) installed on the front cover (26) rotates together with the front cover (26), the baffle (120) installed on the front cover (26) is formed in a ring shape along the circumference of the front cover (26). On the other hand, since the stator (14) and the rotor (16) are formed in a concentric shape, the baffle (120) is installed in a ring shape on the main housing (10) so as to supply a fluid medium to the entire circumference of the stator (14).
[0187] Since a pair of baffles (120) divert the flow medium to both axial sides of the stator (14), the cooling efficiency of the stator (14) can be further improved. In addition, since the bobbins (15) arranged on both axial sides of the stator (14) are cooled by the flow medium, the efficiency of the motor (12) can be further improved.
[0188] Additionally, even if a pair of baffles (120) are installed on both sides of the stator (14), noise may not increase much.
[0189] Next, a sixth embodiment of a fluid medium guide according to the present invention will be described.
[0190] Fig. 20 is a cross-sectional view schematically illustrating a sixth embodiment of a fluid medium guide according to the present invention.
[0191] Referring to FIG. 20, the fluid guide (100) may include a plurality of blades (110) and baffles (120).
[0192] A plurality of blades (110) are connected to the cover (26) so as to face the stator (14) and are arranged along the circumferential direction of the cover (26). The blades (110) may be formed to be inclined in the opposite direction to the rotational direction of the cover (26). In addition, the blades (110) may be formed to have a higher height as they go from the centripetal direction of the cover (26) to the centrifugal direction.
[0193] The baffle (120) is connected to the main housing (10), is formed in a ring shape facing the stator (14), and has a shape that is bent toward the stator (14) as it goes in the centrifugal direction.
[0194] A plurality of blades (110) are arranged along the circumferential direction on the cover (26), and the plurality of blades (110) rotate together with the cover (26) to divert the flow medium toward the rear side of the stator (14). In addition, since the baffle (120) is installed in a ring shape on the main housing (10) so as to face the stator (14), the flow medium flowing when the rotor (16) rotates can be diverted toward the front side of the stator (14) by the baffle (120). Accordingly, both axial sides of the stator (14) can be cooled by the flow medium.
[0195] In this embodiment, the blade (110) is substantially the same as the blade (110) of the first embodiment, and the baffle (120) is substantially the same as the blade (110) of the second embodiment. Therefore, the same drawing reference numerals are given to the blade (110) and the baffle (120), and their descriptions are omitted.
[0196] Next, a seventh embodiment of a fluid medium guide according to the present invention will be described.
[0197] Fig. 21 is a cross-sectional view schematically illustrating a seventh embodiment of a fluid medium guide according to the present invention.
[0198] Referring to Fig. 21, the fluid guide (100) may include a baffle (120a) formed on the front cover (26). The baffle (120a) may include a concave portion (121) formed on the front cover (26) in an opposite portion of the rotor (16), and a convex portion (122) protruding toward the stator on the radially outer side of the concave portion (121). The concave portion (121) is opposite to about half of the radial distance between the rotor and the stator, and the convex portion (122) is formed on a portion facing the stator (14). The concave portion (121) is roundly recessed toward the rear of the rotor (16), and the convex portion (122) is roundly protruded toward the front of the rotor (16). Accordingly, the baffle (120) may be formed integrally on the front cover (26) itself.
[0199] When the above baffle (120a) is manufactured by processing the front cover (26), the shape of the piston plate can be changed so that the friction member (63) of the lock-up clutch (60) can be frictionally coupled to the front cover (26).
[0200] Since the above baffle (120a) is formed integrally with the front cover (26), the number of parts of the hybrid drive module can be reduced while improving the cooling performance of the stator (14). In addition, since the baffle (120a) is formed in a ring shape at a radius facing the stator (14) with the input member (drive shaft) as the center, the flow resistance of the flow medium can be minimized while the flow medium can be diverted toward the stator (14) when the baffle (120a) rotates.
[0201] Although the present invention has been described with reference to the drawings exemplified above, it is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments and drawings disclosed herein, and that various modifications may be made by those skilled in the art within the scope of the technical idea of the present invention. Furthermore, even if the operational effects according to the configuration of the present invention have not been explicitly described while describing the embodiments of the present invention, it is natural that the effects predictable by the corresponding configuration should also be acknowledged.
