Abstract
Description
exhaust pipe with reduced exhaust gas
[0001] The present invention relates to an exhaust gas reduction type exhaust pipe, and more particularly, to an exhaust gas reduction type exhaust pipe capable of reducing the amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and sulfur oxides (SOx) contained in exhaust gas generated from a combustion chamber of a vehicle.
[0002] Generally, soot refers to fine particulate matter, mainly composed of free carbon, generated when fuel or other substances are burned. In particular, when fuel or other substances are incompletely combusted, the main component of black smoke is mostly carbon powder, which exists as residual matter. Due to the nature of diesel fuel, the main fuel for diesel vehicles, particulate matter is naturally generated after combustion in the combustion chamber, which appears as soot.
[0003] Additionally, sulfur oxides and other particulate matter are emitted into the atmosphere through the exhaust pipes of automobiles after combustion, causing air pollution.
[0004] Exhaust gas regulations are becoming increasingly stricter worldwide to preserve the atmospheric environment, and regulations on harmful substances such as particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen oxides (NOX) in automobiles are becoming increasingly stricter.
[0005] Nitrogen oxides (NOX) are formed when nitrogen molecules and oxygen combine at high temperatures in the air. They then react with various hydrocarbons in the atmosphere in a photochemical reaction with sunlight, creating ozone and destroying the ozone layer. To minimize these pollutants and preserve the atmospheric environment, diesel-powered vehicles are equipped with exhaust gas reduction devices.
[0006] In an exhaust gas reduction device according to conventional technology, a CPF (Catalyzed Particulate Filter) that removes PM (Particulate Matters) contained in exhaust gas and an SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) catalyst (140) that removes nitrogen oxides (NOX) are installed in an exhaust pipe connected to an engine through which exhaust gas passes.
[0007] Here, the CPF (Catalyzed Particulate Filter) is a device that physically captures all particulate matter (PM) in the exhaust gas of a diesel engine in a catalytic filter, and after driving a certain distance, increases the temperature of the exhaust gas to a PM ignition temperature of 550°C or higher to combust and remove PM. The SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) catalyst (140) is mainly used to remove nitrogen oxides (NOX) from diesel engines.
[0008] However, the exhaust gas reduction device according to the conventional technology has a complex structure and is relatively expensive, which poses a significant economic burden.
[0009] Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop a product that can reduce exhaust gas emissions at low cost and with a simplified structure.
[0010] As for prior art, Patent Publication No. 10-0569482 is disclosed.
[0011] The present invention has been devised to solve the problems of the above-mentioned prior art, and the purpose of the present invention is to provide an exhaust gas reduction type exhaust pipe that can efficiently reduce the amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and sulfur oxides (SOx) emitted by providing an exhaust passage for exhausting exhaust gas generated from a combustion chamber of a vehicle, and forming a plurality of water film layers in the exhaust passage for capturing exhaust gas.
[0012] The present invention comprises: an exhaust main body having an exhaust passage formed along a longitudinal direction for exhausting exhaust gas therein; a water tank disposed in the passage of the exhaust main body; a film forming material that fills the internal space of the water tank and is provided to form a film on the exhaust passage; and a disk part having a certain area accommodated in the water tank and a remaining area protruding to the outside of the water tank, and having at least one film forming means formed through the disk part to form a film layer with the film forming material and to allow the exhaust gas to pass therethrough, and exposing the film layer to the outside of the water tank by a rotational operation to act on the exhaust gas.
[0013] The present invention comprises: an exhaust main body having an exhaust passage formed along a longitudinal direction for exhausting exhaust gas therein; a tank having partition walls arranged to face each other on an inner bottom surface of the exhaust passage, and an empty space formed between the partition walls; a film forming material filled in the empty space of the tank and provided to form a film on the exhaust passage; and a disk part having a certain area accommodated in the empty space of the tank part, the remaining area protruding out of the tank part, and having at least one film forming means formed through which the exhaust gas passes while forming a film layer with the film forming material, and which exposes the film layer to the outside of the tank part by a rotational operation to act on the exhaust gas.
[0014] In the present invention, the film-forming material forms a film layer including water and a surfactant mixed with the water.
[0015] In the present invention, the disk portions are applied in multiple units and arranged to be spaced apart from each other at a predetermined interval, and further include a connecting shaft that integrally connects the disk portions; and a rotating driving unit that is arranged to be spaced apart from the water tank portion and rotates the connecting shaft in place so that a film is formed on the film forming means by the film forming material.
[0016] The present invention further includes a door part that opens and closes an opening formed in the water tank part and has at least one protruding hole for protruding the disk part.
[0017] The present invention further includes a water level detection sensor for detecting the water level of the film-forming material filled in the water tank; and a replenishment unit for replenishing new film-forming material to the water tank.
[0018] In the present invention, the water tank portion is applied in multiple units and is arranged to be spaced apart from each other at a certain interval in the exhaust passage, and further includes a transmission pipe arranged between the water tank portions and installed through a partition wall portion on one side and the other side to transmit the film-forming material.
[0019] The exhaust gas reduction exhaust pipe according to the present invention has an exhaust passage for exhausting exhaust gas generated from a combustion chamber of a vehicle, and forms a plurality of water film layers in the exhaust passage to capture exhaust gas, thereby having the effect of efficiently reducing the amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and sulfur oxides (SOx) emitted.

[0027] (Example 1)
[0028] FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view illustrating an exhaust gas reduction type exhaust pipe according to one embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a combined cross-sectional view illustrating an exhaust gas reduction type exhaust pipe according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 3 is a side view illustrating a supplementary part applied to an exhaust gas reduction type exhaust pipe according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0029] An exhaust gas reduction type exhaust pipe (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention may include at least one of an exhaust main body (10), a water tank (20), a film forming material (30), a disk (40), a connecting shaft (50), a rotary driving part (60), a door part (70), a water level detection sensor (80), and a replenishment part (90).
[0030] The exhaust main body (10) is a component corresponding to the exhaust pipe of a vehicle.
[0031] The exhaust main body (10) can be formed in a tubular shape with both sides open and an empty space formed along the length direction inside. The empty space of the exhaust main body (10) functions as an exhaust passage (10a).
[0032] The exhaust main body (10) is connected to the exhaust pipe of the vehicle. Therefore, when the vehicle is in operation, exhaust gas generated in the combustion chamber is exhausted to the outside through the exhaust passage (10a).
[0033] At this time, the exhaust main body (10) may be configured to correspond to an exhaust pipe instead of the vehicle's exhaust pipe.
[0034] The water tank (20) is placed in the passage of the exhaust main body (10).
[0035] The water tank (20) can be arranged in a form in which the outer surface is in close contact with the inner surface of the exhaust main body (10).
[0036] The tank (20) is structured so that the upper surface is open and a storage space is formed inside where a film-forming material (30) described later is stored.
[0037] The height of the water tank (20) can be formed to have a length that is about 1 / 2 to 1 / 3 shorter than that of the exhaust main body (10).
[0038] And, the water tank part (20) can be formed in a corresponding shape that is identical to the cross-sectional shape of the exhaust main body part (10).
[0039] For example, when the exhaust main body (10) is formed in a circular pipe shape, the water tank (20) can be formed to have a semicircular cross-sectional shape with an open upper surface.
[0040] As another example, when the exhaust main body (10) is formed in a square pipe shape, the water tank (20) can be formed in a “ㄷ” cross-sectional shape.
[0041] Even if the water tank (20) is formed in a semicircular cross-section or a “ㄷ” cross-section shape, it is installed in the exhaust passage (10a) so that the open surface faces the ceiling surface of the exhaust main body (10).
[0042] The exhaust main body (10) has a connection port formed on one side to connect to the exhaust pipe, and an exhaust port formed on the other side to discharge exhaust gas, and the water tank (20) is installed in a position close to the exhaust port so that the film forming material (30) can be easily replenished.
[0043] In addition, a receiving groove (10b) is formed on the bottom surface on the discharge side to prevent the water tank (20) from flowing when the vehicle moves.
[0044] That is, the water tank (20) is accommodated in a lower portion of the receiving groove (10b), so that it can maintain a stable fixed state without moving on the exhaust passage (10a) not only when the vehicle is driving on a flat road but also when driving uphill or downhill.
[0045] A hollow handle (21) is formed on the surface of the water tank (20) facing the discharge port.
[0046] Accordingly, in order to replenish the film forming material (30), hold the handle (21) with a hand or a tool such as a hook and lift it to remove the water tank part (20) from the upper side of the receiving groove (10b), then pull the handle (21) to withdraw the water tank part (20), the disk part (40), and the rotary driving part (60) to the outside of the exhaust main body part (10).
[0047] At this time, the handle (21) may be pulled slightly to pull only the water tank part (20) out of the exhaust main body part (10).
[0048] A door part (70) can be installed on the upper surface of the water tank part (20).
[0049] The door part (70) closes the upper opening of the water tank part (20) to prevent the film-forming material (30) from leaking out.
[0050] Although not shown in the drawing, a plurality of insertion protrusions may be formed at regular intervals on the bottom surface of the door portion (70), and a fixing groove may be formed on the top surface of the water tank portion (20) into which the insertion protrusions are each inserted and fixed.
[0051] The door part (70) can be stably fixed to the water tank part (20) through these insertion protrusions and fixing grooves.
[0052] At this time, packing (not shown) for maintaining confidentiality may be installed between the water tank (20) and the door (70).
[0053] Since the upper part of the tank (20) is formed in a square frame shape, the packing can also be formed in a square frame shape.
[0054] Additionally, a through hole is formed in the packing to allow each insertion protrusion to pass through.
[0055] Additionally, a plurality of protruding holes (70a) are formed at regular intervals along the longitudinal direction of the door portion (70) to protrude a certain area of the disk portion (40) described later.
[0056] The film forming material (30) is filled into the internal space of the tank (20) to form a film layer on the exhaust passage (10a).
[0057] The film forming material (30) can be formed from water and a surfactant mixed with water.
[0058] That is, the film forming material (30) is formed from a type of soapy water and forms a film on the film forming means (41) of the disk portion (40).
[0059] The disk portion (40) is configured to form multiple films on itself through the film forming material (30).
[0060] The disk portion (40) can be formed in a roughly circular shape, and a through hole (40a) is formed in the central portion through which a connecting shaft (50) is installed.
[0061] A certain area of the disk portion (40) is received in the tank portion (20) and is immersed in the film forming material (30), and the remaining area protrudes toward the upper side of the tank portion (20).
[0062] A plurality of film forming means (41) are formed at regular intervals in the disk portion (40).
[0063] The film forming means (41) is a hole formed by perforating the disk portion (40) at regular intervals to form a film layer through the film forming material (30) while allowing exhaust gas to pass through.
[0064] Although not necessarily so, the film forming means (41) may be formed to have the same diameter or may be formed to have different diameters.
[0065] These disk sections (40) can be applied in multiple numbers and placed at regular intervals from each other in the tank section (20).
[0066] And, the disk parts (40) are connected as one through a single connecting shaft (50) and rotate in place by the power of the rotary drive part (60) to form a film layer on the film forming means (41).
[0067] Furthermore, the aforementioned water tank portions (20) may be applied in multiple units and arranged to be spaced apart from each other at a certain interval in the exhaust passage (10a) of the main body, and as described above, the disk portions (40) may be applied in multiple units to each of the water tank portions (20) at a certain interval.
[0068] At this time, the connecting shaft (50) can be positioned at a predetermined interval above the door section (70), and all disk sections (40) can be connected through one connecting shaft (50).
[0069] The rotary drive unit (60) is configured to simultaneously rotate the aforementioned disk units (40) in place.
[0070] For this purpose, the rotary drive unit (60) can be formed as an AC motor or DC motor whose motor shaft rotates in the forward or reverse direction.
[0071] The rotary drive unit (60) is connected to the upper surface of a fixed block (not shown) that is mounted on the inner bottom surface of the exhaust pipe through a bolt or piece, and operates at a certain distance from the bottom surface of the exhaust pipe.
[0072] A number of passage holes are formed at regular intervals in the fixed block to allow exhaust gas to pass through.
[0073] For example, the rotary drive unit (60) can be connected to the vehicle's start program and programmed to operate together when the vehicle is started.
[0074] As another example, the rotary drive unit (60) can be controlled by a smart key or a separate remote control carried by the vehicle owner.
[0075] The motor shaft of the rotary drive unit (60) is connected to the connecting shaft (50) through a coupling (C).
[0076] That is, when the rotary drive unit (60) operates, the connecting shaft (50) and all disk units (40) rotate in place in the same direction.
[0077] At this time, the rotary drive unit (60) can be programmed to rotate the disk unit (40) once for about 3 to 10 seconds.
[0078] The aforementioned disk portions (40) are rotated by the rotary drive portion (60), so that the portion immersed in the film forming material (30) and the portion protruding toward the upper side of the water tank portion (20) are repeatedly changed.
[0079] Moreover, a film layer is formed by the film forming material (30) on the film forming means (41) formed in the portion of the entire disk portion (40) that is immersed in the film forming material (30) and then protrudes upward from the water tank portion (20).
[0080] Accordingly, the exhaust gas passing through the exhaust passage (10a) is distributed through the film forming means (41) and moves in the direction of discharge of the exhaust outlet of the exhaust main body (10). In particular, the exhaust gas bursts the film layer in the process of passing through each film forming means (41), and at this time, the film layer composed of water and a surfactant captures a certain amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and sulfur oxides (SOx) of the exhaust gas, thereby reducing the amount of nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides emitted into the atmosphere.
[0081] Furthermore, in the exhaust gas reduction type exhaust pipe (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention, since the water tank portion (20) is applied in multiple units to the exhaust main body portion (10) and the disk portion (40) is applied in multiple units to each water tank portion (20), the exhaust gas sequentially passes through the film forming means (41) of the disk portions (40) and comes into contact with the film layer multiple times, and at this time, the film layer captures nitrogen oxides (NOx) and sulfur oxides (SOx) of the exhaust gas, so that the amount of nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides emitted into the atmosphere can be efficiently reduced.
[0082] Meanwhile, the water level detection sensor (80) is installed on the inner wall surface of the water tank (20) and is configured to detect in real time the amount of film-forming material (30) filled in the water tank (20) hidden in the exhaust passage (10a).
[0083] The water level detection sensor (80) detects the amount of film formation (30) in real time and transmits it to the control unit. At this time, in the exhaust gas reduction exhaust pipe (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention, the control unit may be programmed to display the amount of film formation (30) detected by the water level detection sensor (80) on at least one of the vehicle's interior instrument panel and a user's personal terminal such as a smart phone.
[0084] At this time, the amount of the film forming material (30) can be displayed in ml units or % units.
[0085] Accordingly, the user can accurately check the amount of the film forming material (30) displayed on the instrument panel or smartphone in real time, and if the amount of the film forming material (30) is low, it can be replenished with the replenishment unit (90).
[0086] The supplementary unit (90) is configured to supplement a new film-forming material (30) to the water tank unit (20).
[0087] To this end, the supplementary unit (90) may include at least one of a pump (92) mounted on a bogie and a storage tank (93) for storing a film forming material (30).
[0088] The pump (92) and the storage tank (93), and the pump (92) and the water tank (20) are connected through a connecting line (L).
[0089] The pump (92) supplies the film-forming material (30) in the storage tank (93) to the water tank (20) through pumping operation.
[0090] That is, in order to replenish a new film forming material (30) in the water tank (20), the pump (92) and the storage tank (93) are moved to one side of the exhaust main body (10) via a cart, and then only the water tank (20) is pulled out of the exhaust main body (10) in the manner described above, and then the connecting line (L) is inserted into the filling hole (70b) of the door part (70), and then the pump (92) is operated to replenish a new film forming material (30) in the internal space of the water tank (20).
[0091] At this time, the bogie may be omitted, and the pump (92), storage tank (93), and connecting line (L) may be mounted in the trunk or cargo area of the vehicle. In this case, the water tank (20) may be pulled out to the outside of the exhaust main body (10), and then the connecting line (L) may be connected to the filling hole (70b), and then the pump (92) may be operated to replenish the internal space of the water tank (20) with a new film-forming substance (30).
[0092] (Example 2)
[0093] FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view illustrating a combined exhaust gas reduction exhaust pipe according to another embodiment of the present invention.
[0094] An exhaust gas reduction type exhaust pipe (100) according to another embodiment of the present invention may include at least one of an exhaust main body (110), a water tank (120), a film forming material (130), a disk (140), a connecting shaft (150), a rotary driving part (160), a water level detection sensor (180), a transmission pipe (190), and a supplementary part (not shown).
[0095] The exhaust main body (110), the film forming material (130), the disk part (140), the connecting shaft (150), the rotary driving part (160), the water level detection sensor (180), and the supplementary part (not shown) are the same as the exhaust main body (10), the water tank part (20), the film forming material (30), the disk part (40), the connecting shaft (50), the rotary driving part (60), the water level detection sensor (80), and the supplementary part (90) of the second embodiment described above, so only the water tank part (120) and the transmission pipe (190) will be specifically described below.
[0096] At this time, the exhaust main body (110) of the second embodiment may have a receiving groove formed on the bottom surface like the exhaust main body (10) of the first embodiment, or the receiving groove (10b) may not be formed.
[0097] The tank part (120) includes a bulkhead part (121) composed of two pairs.
[0098] The bulkheads (121) are arranged at a certain distance from each other on the bottom surface of the exhaust passage (110a).
[0099] The bulkhead (121) can be formed in a semicircular shape when the exhaust main body (110) is formed in a circular pipe shape, and can be formed in a square plate shape with a shorter length than the exhaust passage (110a) when the exhaust main body (110) is formed in a square pipe shape.
[0100] As shown in Fig. 4, the bulkhead (121) may be installed with a constant slope on the bottom surface of the exhaust passage (110a) or may be installed in an upright form.
[0101] The drawing shows an example in which a pair of bulkheads (121) are installed with slopes that gradually move away from each other from the bottom to the top.
[0102] The empty space between these partition walls (121) is filled with a film-forming material (130).
[0103] The connecting shaft (150) penetrates the water tank (120) horizontally.
[0104] A certain area of the connecting shaft (150) is horizontally arranged in the empty space of the water tank (120), and the remaining area is connected to the rotary drive unit (160) by penetrating one of the bulkheads (121).
[0105] At this time, the motor shaft of the rotary drive unit (160) formed by the connecting shaft (150) and the motor are connected to each other through a coupler (C) formed in a cross-sectional shape of approximately the letter “L”.
[0106] At this time, the connecting shaft (150) and the motor shaft of the rotary drive unit (160) can be directly connected, and in this case, the coupler (C) can be omitted.
[0107] Meanwhile, the water tank (120) may be applied in multiple units and placed at a certain distance from each other on the bottom surface of the exhaust passage (110a).
[0108] In addition, a film forming material (130), a disk part (140), a connecting shaft (150), a rotary driving part (160), and a water level detection sensor (180) can be applied to the water tank part (120), respectively. Ultimately, by arranging the disk parts (140) in several sections in the exhaust passage (110a), the exhaust gas can be captured multiple times, thereby more efficiently reducing the amount of nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides emitted into the atmosphere.
[0109] Meanwhile, the transmission pipe (190) is configured to transmit the film-forming material to the empty space of the tanks.
[0110] The transmission pipe (190) can be formed in a tubular shape with both sides open and a passage space formed inside through which a film-forming material passes.
[0111] The transmission pipe (190) is positioned between the water tank sections (120), and is installed to penetrate the different partition walls (121) on one side and the other side, so that the film forming material (130) filled in the empty space of one water tank section (120) is transferred to the empty space of another water tank section (120) positioned on one side, so that it is filled.
[0112] At this time, the transmission pipe (190) can be installed at an angle to one of the partition walls (121) and the partition wall (121) of the other tank (120) to facilitate transmission of the film forming material (130).
[0113] That is, based on Fig. 4, the transmission pipe (190) is installed through the bulkhead (121) of different tanks (120), but the transmission pipe (190) located on the left is installed through the bulkhead so that the left part is higher than the right part.
[0114] Accordingly, when the film forming material (130) is filled in the empty space of the left tank part (120) located on the inlet side of the exhaust main body part (110) with the same replenishment part (not shown) as the replenishment part (90) of the first embodiment, the film forming material (130) rises to a certain level and flows into the passage space through the left open part of the connecting pipe (190) located on the left, and the film forming material that has flowed into the passage space flows down in the right direction due to the inclined surface of the connecting pipe (190) and is filled in the empty space of another tank part (120) located on the right.
[0115] According to another embodiment of the present invention, an exhaust gas reduction type exhaust pipe (100) can reduce the amount of nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides emitted into the atmosphere by capturing a certain amount of nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides of exhaust gas, and has the advantage of being able to sequentially deliver and replenish film-forming substances (130) to a plurality of water tanks (120) installed in an exhaust passage (110a) of an exhaust main body (110) through a connecting pipe (190).
[0116] Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the present invention can be implemented in other specific forms without altering its technical spirit or essential characteristics. Therefore, the embodiments described above should be understood as illustrative in all respects and not restrictive. The scope of the present invention is defined by the claims below rather than the detailed description above, and all changes or modifications derived from the meaning and scope of the claims and their equivalents should be construed as being included within the scope of the present invention.
