Description

Herb rack and plant handling system including the same

[0001] [Cross-reference with related applications]

[0002] This application claims the benefit of priority from Korean Patent Application No. 10-2023-0105808, filed August 11, 2023, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.

[0003] The present invention relates to a hub rack and a plant treatment system including the same.

[0004] In order to automate the transport of plants to the cultivation tray or cultivation bed (tank) where plants are planted and grown, conveyors or chains were used to transport the plants. However, when using such equipment, the initial investment cost for the mechanical equipment is very high.

[0005] When using a method of transporting plants by robots such as AMR / AGV without using a conveyor or chain, an intermediate holding space (buffer space) is required to store the plants before harvesting or transplanting the transported cultivation tray / cultivation bed (tank) or performing other post-processing operations on the plants.

[0006] This intermediate space can be placed between the space where the plants are planted and the space where the plants are post-treated. However, the cultivation space where the plants are planted is vulnerable to pests and diseases, so it needs to be isolated from the outside space.

[0007] Additionally, because the growing trays stored in these buffer spaces contain plants whose roots retain nutrients, managing the water (nutrient solution) dripping from the roots is crucial. If nutrient solution drips onto the plants below, the plants' marketability may decline.

[0008] The background technology described above is technology that the inventor possessed or acquired in the process of deriving the disclosure of the present application, and cannot necessarily be said to be publicly known technology disclosed to the general public prior to the present application.

[0009] The present invention has been devised to solve the above problems,

[0012] The above cover portion may be provided to cover at least one opening of the compartment space that is open in both directions.

[0013] The above cover portion may include a cover that is arranged to cover or be rolled up at least a portion of the frame portion by being unfolded, a driving unit that provides power to roll up or unfold the cover, and a housing that is arranged to be rolled up and received by the cover.

[0014] The housing may be positioned at the upper end of the frame portion, and the cover may be arranged to slide and unfold from the housing toward the lower end of the frame portion.

[0015] The above cover part may further include a guide rail provided on the frame part along the sliding direction of the cover to guide sliding of the cover.

[0016] The above guide rail may be provided with a sealing unit that is provided in close contact with the cover so as to block air from the working space toward the cultivation space.

[0017] The above cover part may further include a lighting part that indicates the presence or absence of the cultivation plate inside the compartment space.

[0018] The above driving unit may be provided inside the housing.

[0019] The above frame portion may include a plurality of base frames extending in the vertical direction and positioned spaced apart from each other, and a plurality of guide frames coupled to the base frames so that the cultivation plate is secured and supported.

[0020] The above frame portion may further include a support plate disposed below each of the plurality of guide frames to support water falling from the cultivation plate mounted on the guide frame.

[0021] The above guide frame may include a recessed element that is arranged to engage with at least a portion of the cultivation plate so that the settled cultivation plate is aligned at a preset position.

[0022] The above support plate is formed so that at least one portion thereof is inclined with respect to the ground so that water falling from the cultivation plate flows toward the base frame, and a flow path may be provided inside the base frame so that water flowing from the support plate flows toward the ground.

[0023] The hub rack according to the present invention may further include a movable portion coupled to a portion of the frame portion so that the frame portion can move relative to the ground.

[0024] A plant treatment system according to the present invention includes a work space in which plants planted in the cultivation space are post-treated, and a hub rack arranged between the cultivation space and the work space to allow the plants transferred from the cultivation space to be placed thereon, wherein the hub rack may include a frame portion arranged to accommodate a plurality of cultivation plates on which plants are planted, and a cover portion provided in the frame portion and arranged to cover at least a portion of the frame portion to separate the cultivation space from the work space.

[0025] The herb rack and plant treatment system including the same according to the present invention can hold plants from a cultivation space where plants are grown to a work space where plants are post-treated, while isolating the cultivation space and the work space as necessary to prevent outside air from flowing into the cultivation space.

[0079] Figures 9 and 10 illustrate a frame portion (31) of a hub rack (30) according to one embodiment of the present invention. Figure 9 is a perspective view of the frame portion (31) of the hub rack (30) according to one embodiment of the present invention, and Figure 10 is a schematic diagram of a guide frame (313) of the frame portion (31).

[0080] Referring to FIGS. 9 and 10, the frame portion (31) of the hub rack (30) according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a base frame (312) and a guide frame (313).

[0081] A plurality of base frames (312) can be arranged to extend in the vertical direction and be spaced apart from each other at preset intervals to form the skeleton of the frame portion (31). The base frame (312) can be provided as a rigid body in the form of a beam.

[0082] A guide frame (313) may be provided to allow a cultivation plate on which plants are planted to be secured. A plurality of guide frames (313) may be coupled to a plurality of base frames (312) and may be formed in pairs in each of the partition spaces to support both sides of the cultivation plate on which plants are planted. In other words, a plurality of base frames (312) and guide frames (313) may define a plurality of partition spaces (311).

[0083] A pair of guide frames (313) can support each of the two sides of the cultivation plate (315). The guide frames (313) can include a protruding element (3131) that engages with at least a portion of the cultivation plate (315) so that the settled cultivation plate (315) can be aligned to a preset position.

[0084] The uneven element (3131) may be formed on each of a pair of guide frames (313) that support both sides of the cultivation plate (315). For example, if a wheel is formed on the lower surface of the cultivation plate (315), the uneven element (3131) may be formed in the shape of a concave groove that accommodates the wheel. Alternatively, if the cultivation plate (315) has a concave groove formed in the lower surface, the uneven element (3131) may be formed in the shape of a protrusion that can be inserted into and engaged with the groove. However, the shape of the uneven element (3131) is not limited to that shown in the drawing.

[0085] The frame portion (31) of the hub rack (30) according to one embodiment of the present invention may further include a support plate (314).

[0086] The support plate (314) may be provided to receive water falling from a cultivation plate (315) mounted on a guide frame (313). A plurality of support plates (314) may be respectively arranged under a plurality of guide frames (313). That is, one support plate (314) may be provided under a pair of guide frames (313) formed in each compartment space (311). When water discharged from a plant planted on a cultivation plate (315) falls downward, the support plate (314) may direct the falling water in a preset direction.

[0087] The shape and function of the support plate (314) will be described in detail in FIGS. 11 to 13 below.

[0088] Figures 11 to 13 are perspective views showing the shape of the support plate (314) of the frame portion (31) of the hub rack (30) according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0089] The support plate (314) can be formed so that at least one portion thereof is inclined at a predetermined angle so that water falling from the cultivation plate (315) mounted on the guide frame (313) flows toward the base frame (312).

[0090] Specifically, the support plate (314) can be formed to be inclined toward the cultivation space or the work space so that water falling from the cultivation plate (315) flows toward two base frames on the cultivation space or work space side among the four base frames (312) surrounding one compartment space.

[0091] For example, water falling from the cultivation plate (315) can flow toward two base frames (312) on the working space (20) side among the four base frames (312) surrounding the compartment space due to the support plate (314) tilted toward the working space (20). In addition, the support plate (314) can be formed in a shape in which the central portion protrudes so that water can flow toward the two base frames (312) described above.

[0092] By adopting this configuration, water falling from the cultivation plate (315) mounted on the guide frame (313) can contact the support plate (314) and flow in a direction toward the two base frames (312) on the support plate (314). A step wall (3141) may be provided at the edge of the support plate (314) to prevent water falling on the support plate (314) from falling in a direction other than the base frame (312).

[0093] At this time, a flow path may be provided inside the base frame (312) so that water flowing from the support plate (314) may flow toward the ground. That is, the base frame (312) may be provided in the form of a beam with a cavity formed inside. In addition, a gap (3121) may be formed at the connection portion between the base frame (312) and the support plate (314) so that water flowing from the support plate (314) may flow into the flow path of the base frame (312).

[0094] By adopting this configuration, water falling from the cultivation plate (315) can flow stably downward through the support plate (314) and the base frame (312), and water falling from the cultivation plate (315) can prevent the marketability of plants from deteriorating toward plants on other cultivation plates (315).
