[0097] In addition, in order to solve the above-described problem, the present invention provides a battery module including a plurality of the battery cells.
[0098] In one embodiment, the battery module may include a housing (20) and an ICB (Inter Connected Board, 30).
[0099] The above housing (20) can accommodate the plurality of battery cells.
[0100] The above ICB can be combined with the housing (20) or the plurality of battery cells.
[0101] The above ICB (30) is connected to the conductor (220) of the leakage sensor (200) of each battery cell and can apply current to the electric circuit.
[0102] The above ICB (30) can measure or detect at least one of the resistance, current, and voltage of the electric circuit.
[0103] According to embodiments of the present invention, a battery cell (10) capable of detecting electrolyte leakage may include: an electrode assembly; an electrolyte; a case (100) including a first portion (P1) and a second portion (P2) spaced apart from each other by a predetermined distance, wherein the electrode assembly is accommodated and the electrolyte is injected; and a leakage sensor (200) coupled to the case (100) and configured to detect the electrolyte leaking to the outside through the first portion (P1) and the second portion (P2). The leakage sensor (200) may include a conductor (220) formed to surround the first portion (P1) and the second portion (P2) and constituting an electric circuit. When the leaking electrolyte comes into contact with the conductor (220), at least one of resistance, current, and voltage of the electric circuit may change. The conductor (220) may include a first conductive portion (222) formed to surround the first portion (P1), a second conductive portion (224) formed to surround the second portion (P2), and a third conductive portion (226) formed to connect the first conductive portion (222) and the second conductive portion (224). The first conductive portion (222), the second conductive portion (224), and the third conductive portion (226) may constitute the electric circuit.
[0104] Accordingly, a battery cell (10) that detects electrolyte leakage at two locations (P1, P2) of a battery cell (10) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration. In addition, electrolyte leakage at two locations of the battery cell (10) can be detected in real time.
[0105] In addition, when the electrolyte leaks mainly through the first part (P1) and the second part (P2), the conductor (220) of the leakage sensor (200) is formed to surround the first part (P1) and the second part (P2), so that the leakage sensor (200) can quickly, accurately, reliably, and effectively detect the leakage of the electrolyte. Accordingly, accidents such as fire can be prevented in advance.
[0106] In addition, since the third conductive portion (226) connects the first conductive portion (222) and the second conductive portion (224) and forms an electric circuit like the first conductive portion (222) and the second conductive portion (224), the leakage sensor (200) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration. For example, if any one of the first conductive portion (222), the second conductive portion (224), and the third conductive portion (226) is connected to the + pole of an external power source, and any one of the first conductive portion (222), the second conductive portion (224), and the third conductive portion (226) is connected to the - pole of the same external power source, the leakage sensor (200) can detect all electrolyte leaking through the first portion (P1) and the second portion (P2). That is, the first conductive part (222) and the second conductive part (224) do not need to be individually connected to an external power source.
[0107] In addition, the performance of the leakage sensor (200) can be improved because it can detect not only the electrolyte in contact with the first conductive part (222) or the second conductive part (224), but also the electrolyte in contact with the third conductive part (226).
[0108] According to embodiments of the present invention, the first portion (P1) may be a liquid injection portion (110) used for injecting an electrolyte and sealed after the electrolyte is injected, or the second portion (P2) may be a vent portion (120) that is opened by internal pressure.
[0109] Accordingly, the conductor (220) of the leakage sensor (200) is formed to surround the main liquid portion (110) and / or the vent portion (120) where electrolyte leakage primarily occurs, so that the leakage sensor (200) can quickly, accurately, reliably, and effectively detect electrolyte leakage. Accordingly, accidents such as fire can be prevented in advance.
[0110] According to embodiments of the present invention, the first portion (P1) or the second portion (P2) may include the entire area of a predetermined hole formed or to be formed in the case (100). Accordingly, the first conductive portion (222) or the second conductive portion (224) may surround the outer side of the predetermined hole.
[0111] Accordingly, when the internal pressure of the case (100) increases, the internal material of the case (100) can be quickly and easily discharged to the outside through a predetermined hole without being obstructed by the leakage sensor (200). Accordingly, accidents such as explosion or fire can be prevented.
[0112] According to embodiments of the present invention, the leakage sensor (200) may further include a substrate (210) coupled to the case (100) and having the conductor (220) formed thereon. The substrate (210) may include a first hole (H1) formed to correspond to the first portion (P1) and a second hole (H2) formed to correspond to the second portion (P2). The first conductive portion (222) may be formed to surround the first hole (H1). The second conductive portion (224) may be formed to surround the second hole (H2).
[0113] Accordingly, a leakage sensor (200) that detects electrolyte leakage in two parts of a battery cell (10) can be formed with a single substrate (210). Accordingly, the leakage sensor (200) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration, and the manufacturing and maintenance of a battery cell (10) capable of detecting electrolyte leakage can be facilitated.
[0114] According to embodiments of the present invention, the third conductive portion (226) may be formed between the first conductive portion (222) and the second conductive portion (224).
[0115] Accordingly, since the third conductive portion (226) is positioned between the first conductive portion (222) and the second conductive portion (224) where there is a high probability of the presence of leaked electrolyte, the leakage detection performance can be improved.
[0116] According to embodiments of the present invention, the first conductive portion (222) may include a first wrapping portion (WC1) formed to surround the first portion (P1) and a second wrapping portion (WC2) formed to surround the first wrapping portion (WC1) at a predetermined distance from the first wrapping portion (WC1). The second conductive portion (224) may include a fifth wrapping portion (WC5) formed to surround the second portion (P2) and a sixth wrapping portion (WC6) formed to surround the fifth wrapping portion (WC5) at a predetermined distance from the fifth wrapping portion (WC5) or to surround the second portion (P2) while being surrounded by the fifth wrapping portion (WC5) at a predetermined distance from the fifth wrapping portion (WC5). The third conductive portion (226) may include a first connection portion (CC1) formed to connect the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the fifth wrapping portion (WC5), and a second connection portion (CC2) formed to connect the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), but spaced apart from the first connection portion (CC1) by a predetermined distance. The first wrapping portion (WC1), the second wrapping portion (WC2), the fifth wrapping portion (WC5), the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), the first connection portion (CC1), and the second connection portion (CC2) may constitute the electric circuit. When the leaking electrolyte simultaneously contacts the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2), or simultaneously contacts the fifth wrapping portion (WC5) and the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), or simultaneously contacts the first connecting portion (CC1) and the second connecting portion (CC2), and accordingly, the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2), the fifth wrapping portion (WC5) and the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), or the first connecting portion (CC1) and the second connecting portion (CC2) are electrically connected through the leaking electrolyte, at least one of the resistance, current, and voltage of the electric circuit may change.
[0117] Accordingly, a leakage sensor (200) that detects electrolyte leakage in two parts of a battery cell (10) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration.
[0118] According to embodiments of the present invention, the first conductive portion (222) may include a third wrapping portion (WC3) formed to surround the second wrapping portion (WC2) at a predetermined distance from the second wrapping portion (WC2). The second conductive portion (224) may include a seventh wrapping portion (WC7) formed to surround the sixth wrapping portion (WC6) at a predetermined distance from the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), or formed to surround the second portion (P2) at a predetermined distance from the sixth wrapping portion (WC6) and surrounded by the sixth wrapping portion (WC6). The third conductive portion (226) may include a third connecting portion (CC3) formed to connect the third wrapping portion (WC3) and the seventh wrapping portion (WC7), but formed at a predetermined distance from the second connecting portion (CC2). The third wrapping portion (WC3), the seventh wrapping portion (WC7), and the third connecting portion (CC3) may constitute the electric circuit. The leaking electrolyte is in contact with the first wrapping part (WC1) and the second wrapping part (WC2) at the same time, or with the second wrapping part (WC2) and the third wrapping part (WC3) at the same time, or with the fifth wrapping part (WC5) and the sixth wrapping part (WC6) at the same time, or with the sixth wrapping part (WC6) and the seventh wrapping part (WC7) at the same time, or with the first connecting part (CC1) and the second connecting part (CC2) at the same time, or with the second connecting part (CC2) and the third connecting part (CC3) at the same time, and accordingly, the first wrapping part (WC1) and the second wrapping part (WC2), the second wrapping part (WC2) and the third wrapping part (WC3), the fifth wrapping part (WC5) and the sixth wrapping part (WC6), the sixth wrapping part (WC6) and the seventh wrapping part (WC7), and the first connecting part (CC1) and When the second connector (CC2) or the second connector (CC2) and the third connector (CC3) are electrically connected through the leaking electrolyte, at least one of the resistance, current and voltage of the electric circuit may change.
[0119] Accordingly, the leakage detection area or leakage detection width of the leakage sensor (200) can be increased, or the separation distance between the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2), the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the third wrapping portion (WC3), the fifth wrapping portion (WC5) and the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), the sixth wrapping portion (WC6) and the seventh wrapping portion (WC7), the first connecting portion (CC1) and the second connecting portion (CC2), or the second connecting portion (CC2) and the third connecting portion (CC3) can be reduced, so that the performance or sensitivity of the leakage sensor (200) can be improved.

[0121] Accordingly, the leakage sensor (200) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration.

The second conductive portion (224) may include an eighth wrapping portion (WC8) formed to surround the seventh wrapping portion (WC7) at a predetermined distance from the seventh wrapping portion (WC7), or formed to surround the second portion (P2) at a predetermined distance from the seventh wrapping portion (WC7) and surrounded by the seventh wrapping portion (WC7). The third conductive portion (226) may include a fourth connecting portion (CC4) formed to connect the fourth wrapping portion (WC4) and the eighth wrapping portion (WC8), but formed at a predetermined distance from the third connecting portion (CC3). The fourth wrapping portion (WC4), the eighth wrapping portion (WC8), and the fourth connecting portion (CC4) may constitute the electric circuit. The leaking electrolyte contacts the first wrapping part (WC1) and the second wrapping part (WC2) at the same time, or contacts the second wrapping part (WC2) and the third wrapping part (WC3) at the same time, or contacts the third wrapping part (WC3) and the fourth wrapping part (WC4) at the same time, or contacts the fifth wrapping part (WC5) and the sixth wrapping part (WC6) at the same time, or contacts the sixth wrapping part (WC6) and the seventh wrapping part (WC7) at the same time, or contacts the seventh wrapping part (WC7) and the eighth wrapping part (WC8) at the same time, or contacts the first connecting part (CC1) and the second connecting part (CC2) at the same time, or contacts the second connecting part (CC2) and the third connecting part (CC3) at the same time, or contacts the third connecting part (CC3) and the fourth connecting part (CC4) at the same time, and accordingly, the first wrapping part (WC1) and the second wrapping part (WC2), When the second wrapping part (WC2) and the third wrapping part (WC3), the third wrapping part (WC3) and the fourth wrapping part (WC4), the fifth wrapping part (WC5) and the sixth wrapping part (WC6), the sixth wrapping part (WC6) and the seventh wrapping part (WC7), the seventh wrapping part (WC7) and the eighth wrapping part (WC8), the first connecting part (CC1) and the second connecting part (CC2), the second connecting part (CC2) and the third connecting part (CC3), or the third connecting part (CC3) and the fourth connecting part (CC4) are electrically connected through the leaking electrolyte, at least one of the resistance, current, and voltage of the electric circuit may change.
[0123] Accordingly, the leakage detection area or leakage detection width of the leakage sensor (200) can be increased, or the separation distance between the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2), the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the third wrapping portion (WC3), the third wrapping portion (WC3) and the fourth wrapping portion (WC4), the fifth wrapping portion (WC5) and the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), the sixth wrapping portion (WC6) and the seventh wrapping portion (WC7), the seventh wrapping portion (WC7) and the eighth wrapping portion (WC8), the first connecting portion (CC1) and the second connecting portion (CC2), the second connecting portion (CC2) and the third connecting portion (CC3), or the third connecting portion (CC3) and the fourth connecting portion (CC4) can be reduced, so that the performance or sensitivity of the leakage sensor (200) can be improved.
[0124] According to embodiments of the present invention, the first wrapping portion (WC1), the fifth wrapping portion (WC5), and the first connection portion (CC1) and the third wrapping portion (WC3), the seventh wrapping portion (WC7), and the third connection portion (CC3) may be connected to each other. The second wrapping portion (WC2), the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), and the second connection portion (CC2) and the fourth wrapping portion (WC4), the eighth wrapping portion (WC8), and the fourth connection portion (CC4) may be connected to each other.
[0125] Accordingly, the leakage sensor (200) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration.
[0126] According to embodiments of the present invention, a battery cell capable of detecting electrolyte leakage may include: an electrode assembly; an electrolyte; a case (100) that accommodates the electrode assembly, into which the electrolyte is injected, and includes a first portion (P1); and a leakage sensor (200) that is coupled to the case (100) and detects the electrolyte leaking to the outside through the first portion (P1). The leakage sensor (200) may include a conductor (220) formed to surround the first portion (P1) and forming an electric circuit. When the leaking electrolyte comes into contact with the conductor (220), at least one of resistance, current, and voltage of the electric circuit may change. The conductor (220) may include a first wrapping portion (WC1) formed to surround the first portion (P1), a second wrapping portion (WC2) formed to surround the first wrapping portion (WC1) at a predetermined distance from the first wrapping portion (WC1), and a third wrapping portion (WC3) formed to surround the second wrapping portion (WC2) at a predetermined distance from the second wrapping portion (WC2). The first wrapping portion (WC1), the second wrapping portion (WC2), and the third wrapping portion (WC3) may constitute the electric circuit. When the leaking electrolyte comes into contact with the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2) at the same time or with the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the third wrapping portion (WC3) at the same time, and thus the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2) or the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the third wrapping portion (WC3) are electrically connected through the leaking electrolyte, at least one of the resistance, current and voltage of the electric circuit may change.
[0127] Accordingly, the leakage detection area or leakage detection width around the first portion (P1) can be increased, or the separation distance between the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2) or the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the third wrapping portion (WC3) can be reduced. Accordingly, the performance or sensitivity of the leakage sensor (200) can be improved.
[0128] According to embodiments of the present invention, the first portion (P1) may include the entire area of a predetermined hole formed or to be formed in the case (100). Accordingly, the conductor (220) may surround the outer side of the predetermined hole.
[0129] Accordingly, when the internal pressure of the case (100) increases, the internal material of the case (100) can be quickly and easily discharged to the outside through a predetermined hole without being obstructed by the leakage sensor (200). Accordingly, accidents such as explosion or fire can be prevented.
[0130] According to embodiments of the present invention, the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the third wrapping portion (WC3) can be formed to be connected to each other.
[0131] Accordingly, the leakage sensor (200) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration.
[0132] According to embodiments of the present invention, the conductor (220) may further include a fourth wrapping portion (WC4) formed to surround the third wrapping portion (WC3) and spaced apart from the third wrapping portion (WC3) by a predetermined distance and to constitute the electric circuit. When the leaking electrolyte simultaneously contacts the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2), or simultaneously contacts the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the third wrapping portion (WC3), or simultaneously contacts the third wrapping portion (WC3) and the fourth wrapping portion (WC4), and accordingly, when the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2), the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the third wrapping portion (WC3), or the third wrapping portion (WC3) and the fourth wrapping portion (WC4) are electrically connected through the leaking electrolyte, at least one of the resistance, current, and voltage of the electric circuit may change.
[0133] Accordingly, the leakage detection area or leakage detection width around the first portion (P1) can be increased, or the separation distance between the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2), the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the third wrapping portion (WC3), or the third wrapping portion (WC3) and the fourth wrapping portion (WC4) can be reduced, so that the performance or sensitivity of the leakage sensor (200) can be improved.
[0134] According to embodiments of the present invention, the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the third wrapping portion (WC3) may be formed to be connected to each other. The second wrapping portion (WC2) and the fourth wrapping portion (WC4) may be formed to be connected to each other.
[0135] Accordingly, the leakage sensor (200) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration.
[0136] According to embodiments of the present invention, a battery module may include a plurality of battery cells.
[0137] Accordingly, electrolyte leakage can be detected for each battery cell (10) of the battery module (1), enabling rapid and accurate detection of electrolyte leakage. Accordingly, accidents such as fire can be prevented in advance. In addition, electrolyte leakage of the battery module (1) can be detected in real time.
[0138] According to embodiments of the present invention, the battery module may include a housing (20) that accommodates the plurality of battery cells; and an ICB (Inter Connected Board) (30) coupled to the housing (20) or the plurality of battery cells. The ICB (30) is connected to the conductor (220) of the leakage sensor (200) of each of the battery cells to apply current to the electric circuit and measure or detect at least one of resistance, current, and voltage of the electric circuit.
[0139] Accordingly, the leakage sensor (200) can be easily operated at low cost with a simple configuration, and can detect electrolyte leakage of the battery module (1) in real time. For example, the leakage sensor (200) can be operated using a conventional ICB (30) used to measure the voltage of a battery cell (10) or a battery module (1), so the leakage sensor (200) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration.

[0176]
[0177] [Battery module]
[0178] Referring to FIG. 1, a battery module (1) according to one embodiment may include a plurality of battery cells (10). The battery module (1) may include a housing (20) and an ICB (Inter Connected Board, 30).
[0179] As described below, each of the plurality of battery cells (10) may include a leakage sensor (200) that detects electrolyte leaking out of the case (100) of the battery cell (10).
[0180] Accordingly, electrolyte leakage can be detected for each battery cell (10) of the battery module (1), enabling rapid and accurate detection of electrolyte leakage. Accordingly, accidents such as fire can be prevented in advance. In addition, electrolyte leakage of the battery module (1) can be detected in real time.
[0181] The housing (20) may have a hollow opening upward and may have a roughly rectangular shape. The housing (20) may accommodate a plurality of battery cells (10).
[0182] An ICB (30, Inter Connected Board) can be combined with a housing (20) or a plurality of battery cells (10). Here, the ICB (30) may refer to a conventional board having at least one element that transmits information between a battery cell (10) and a BMS (not shown). For example, the ICB (30) may be provided with at least one element that transmits information sensed from a terminal (130) of a battery cell (10), such as voltage information, to the BMS.
[0183] Also, here, BMS may mean a system that monitors the state of the battery cell (10), such as temperature, voltage, and current, and controls balancing of the battery cell (10), charging or discharging through SOC (State Of Charge) estimation, etc., based on the state of the monitored battery cell.
[0184] The leakage sensor (200) described below of each battery cell (10) can be connected to the ICB (30). For example, the conductor (220) of the leakage sensor (200) described below of each battery cell (10) can be connected to the ICB (30) through wire welding. Accordingly, the ICB (30) can apply current to the conductor (220) of the leakage sensor (200) and measure or detect at least one of the resistance, current, and voltage of the electric circuit configured by the conductor (220).
[0185] Accordingly, the leakage sensor (200) can be easily operated at low cost with a simple configuration, and can detect electrolyte leakage of the battery module (1) in real time. For example, the leakage sensor (200) can be operated using a conventional ICB (30) used to measure the voltage of a battery cell (10) or a battery module (1), so the leakage sensor (200) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration.
[0186] [First embodiment of battery cell]
[0187] Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, a battery cell (10) according to the first embodiment may include an electrode assembly (not shown), an electrolyte (not shown), a case (100), and a leakage sensor (200).
[0188] The battery cell (10) may be a square battery cell (10) as shown in the drawing. However, it is not limited to this configuration.
[0189] Below, we will look at each component.
[0190] [Electrode assembly, electrolyte, case]
[0191] An electrode assembly (not shown) may include an anode, a cathode, and a separator interposed between the anode and the cathode. The electrode assembly (not shown) may be of a jelly-roll type, a stack type, or a stack / folding type.
[0192] An electrolyte (not shown) can be injected into the case (100) and impregnated into the electrode assembly.
[0193] The case (100) may be a rectangular parallelepiped. An electrode assembly may be accommodated inside the case (100) and an electrolyte may be injected. The case (100) may include a liquid injection portion (110) and a vent portion (120). The case (100) may include a pair of terminals (130).
[0194] The injection unit (110) can be used to inject an electrolyte. The injection unit (110) can be sealed after the electrolyte is injected. For example, the injection unit (110) can include an injection hole into which the electrolyte is injected and a stopper that seals the injection hole after the electrolyte is injected.
[0195] The vent portion (120) can be opened by the internal pressure of the case (100). For example, the vent portion (120) may include a notch so that it can be broken and opened to the outside at a set internal pressure. By opening the vent portion (120) by the internal pressure, a vent hole can be formed in the case (100).
[0196] The main body (110) and the vent body (120) may be located on the upper surface of the case (100).
[0197] A pair of terminals (130) can be connected to the positive and negative poles of the electrode assembly, respectively. A pair of terminals (130) can be in contact with or connected to the ICB (30) described above.
[0198] Meanwhile, the case (100) may include a first portion (P1) and a second portion (P2) spaced apart from each other by a predetermined distance. The first portion (P1) may be a liquid portion (110). The second portion (P2) may be a vent portion (120).
[0199] The first portion (P1) or the second portion (P2) may include the entire area of a predetermined hole formed or to be formed in the case (100). Here, the predetermined hole may be, for example, a liquid injection hole or a vent hole.
[0200] [First embodiment of the leakage sensor]
[0201] The leakage sensor (200) according to the first embodiment can be installed in conjunction with the case (100). The leakage sensor (200) can detect electrolyte leaking to the outside through the first portion (P1) and the second portion (P2).
[0202] Referring further to FIGS. 4 and 5, the leakage sensor (200) according to the first embodiment may include a conductor (220). The leakage sensor (200) according to the first embodiment may include a substrate (210).
[0203] The substrate (210) may be coupled to the case (100). For example, the substrate (210) may be adhered to the case (100). The substrate (210) may be a flexible circuit board or an insulating film. The substrate (210) may be composed of a material including PET, PI, or PEN.
[0204] The substrate (210) may include a first hole (H1) and a second hole (H2). The first hole (H1) may be formed to correspond to the first portion (P1) of the case (100). The second hole (H2) may be formed to correspond to the second portion (P2) of the case (100).
[0205] The conductor (220) can be formed on the substrate (210). The conductor (220) can be formed to surround the first portion (P1) and the second portion (P2) of the case (100).
[0206] For example, the conductor (220) may be a circuit pattern formed on a flexible circuit board (210). Accordingly, the leakage sensor (200) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration. In addition, the weight of the leakage sensor (200) can be reduced. In addition, the leakage sensor (200) can be easily installed because it is bendable.
[0207] The conductor (220) can form an electric circuit. When the leaking electrolyte comes into contact with the conductor (220), at least one of the resistance, current, and voltage of the electric circuit can change.
[0208] For example, a weak current may constantly flow through the conductor (220) of the electric circuit, and when a leaking electrolyte comes into contact with the conductor (220), the resistance of the electric circuit may decrease. As another example, a current may not constantly flow through the conductor (220), and when a leaking electrolyte comes into contact with the conductor (220), a current may flow through the conductor (220).
[0209] The above electric circuit composed of a conductor (220) can be connected to the ICB (30) described above. When the resistance of the above electric circuit changes, the ICB (30) can detect this and transmit an electric signal to the BMS.
[0210] The conductor (220) may include a first conductive portion (222), a second conductive portion (224), and a third conductive portion (226). The conductor (220) may further include a terminal portion (228). The conductor (220) may further include a first link portion (LC1) and / or a second link portion (LC2).
[0211] The first conductive portion (222) may be formed to surround the first portion (P1) of the case (100). For example, the first conductive portion (222) may be formed to surround the first hole (H1) of the substrate (210).
[0212] The second conductive portion (224) may be formed to surround the second portion (P2). For example, the second conductive portion (224) may be formed to surround the second hole (H2) of the substrate (210).
[0213] In this way, the first conductive portion (222) can be formed to surround the first hole (H1) of the substrate (210), and the second conductive portion (224) can be formed to surround the second hole (H2) of the substrate (210).
[0214] Accordingly, a leakage sensor (200) that detects electrolyte leakage in two parts of a battery cell (10) can be formed with a single substrate (210). Accordingly, the leakage sensor (200) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration, and the manufacturing and maintenance of a battery cell (10) capable of detecting electrolyte leakage can be facilitated.
[0215] The third conductive part (226) can be formed to connect the first conductive part (222) and the second conductive part (224).
[0216] The third conductive portion (226) can be formed between the first conductive portion (222) and the second conductive portion (224).
[0217] Accordingly, since the third conductive portion (226) is positioned between the first conductive portion (222) and the second conductive portion (224) where there is a high probability of the presence of leaked electrolyte, the leakage detection performance can be improved.
[0218] The first conductive part (222), the second conductive part (224), and the third conductive part (226) can constitute the above electric circuit.
[0219] Accordingly, a battery cell (10) that detects electrolyte leakage at two locations (P1, P2) of a battery cell (10) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration. In addition, electrolyte leakage at two locations of the battery cell (10) can be detected in real time.
[0220] In addition, when the electrolyte leaks mainly through the first part (P1) and the second part (P2), the conductor (220) of the leakage sensor (200) is formed to surround the first part (P1) and the second part (P2), so that the leakage sensor (200) can quickly, accurately, reliably, and effectively detect the leakage of the electrolyte. Accordingly, accidents such as fire can be prevented in advance.
[0221] In addition, since the third conductive portion (226) connects the first conductive portion (222) and the second conductive portion (224) and forms an electric circuit like the first conductive portion (222) and the second conductive portion (224), the leakage sensor (200) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration. For example, if any one of the first, second, and third conductive portions (222, 224, 226) is connected to the + pole of an external power source and any one of the first, second, and third conductive portions (222, 224, 226) is connected to the - pole of the same external power source, the leakage sensor (200) can detect all electrolyte leaking through the first portion (P1) and the second portion (P2). That is, the first conductive part (222) and the second conductive part (224) do not need to be individually connected to an external power source.
[0222] In addition, the performance of the leakage sensor (200) can be improved because it can detect not only the electrolyte in contact with the first conductive part (222) or the second conductive part (224), but also the electrolyte in contact with the third conductive part (226).
[0223] At this time, the first part (P1) surrounded by the first conductive part (222) may be the main part (110) or the second part (P2) surrounded by the second conductive part (224) may be the vent part (120).
[0224] Accordingly, the conductor (220) of the leakage sensor (200) is formed to surround the main liquid portion (110) and / or the vent portion (120) where electrolyte leakage primarily occurs, so that the leakage sensor (200) can quickly, accurately, reliably, and effectively detect electrolyte leakage. Accordingly, accidents such as fire can be prevented in advance.
[0225] The first conductive portion (222) or the second conductive portion (224) may surround the outside of a predetermined hole (e.g., a liquid hole or a vent hole) formed or to be formed in the case (100).
[0226] Accordingly, when the internal pressure of the case (100) increases, the internal material of the case (100) can be quickly and easily discharged to the outside through a predetermined hole without being obstructed by the leakage sensor (200). Accordingly, accidents such as explosion or fire can be prevented.
[0227] A pair of terminal portions (228) may be formed. The terminal portions (228) may be formed to be connected to the first, second, or third conductive portions (222, 224, 226). The terminal portions (228) may be formed to be extended outward from the first, second, or third conductive portions (222, 224, 226) (Fig. 4, Fig. 5).
[0228] A pair of terminal portions (228) can be connected to the first electrode and the second electrode of an external power source. For example, the above-described ICB (30) can be connected to the external power source, and the terminal portion (228) can be connected to the ICB (30) through wire welding.
[0229] The first link section (LC1) and the second link section (LC2) are described later.
[0230] Below, we will look specifically at the 1st / 2nd / 3rd challenge parts (222, 224, 226).
[0231] The first conductive portion (222) may include a first wrapping portion (WC1) and a second wrapping portion (WC2). The first conductive portion (222) may further include a third wrapping portion (WC3). The first conductive portion (222) may further include a fourth wrapping portion (WC4).
[0232] The first wrapping portion (WC1) may be formed to surround the first portion (P1). For example, the first wrapping portion (WC1) may be formed to surround the first hole (H1) of the substrate (210).
[0233] The second wrapping portion (WC2) can be formed to surround the first wrapping portion (WC1) by being spaced apart from the first wrapping portion (WC1) by a predetermined distance.
[0234] The third wrapping section (WC3) can be formed to surround the second wrapping section (WC2) by being spaced apart from the second wrapping section (WC2) by a predetermined distance.
[0235] The fourth wrapping section (WC4) can be formed to surround the third wrapping section (WC3) by being spaced apart from the third wrapping section (WC3) by a predetermined distance.
[0236] The second conductive portion (224) may include a fifth wrapping portion (WC5) and a sixth wrapping portion (WC6). The second conductive portion (224) may further include a seventh wrapping portion (WC7). The second conductive portion (224) may further include an eighth wrapping portion (WC8).
[0237] The fifth wrapping portion (WC5) may be formed to surround the second portion (P2). For example, the fifth wrapping portion (WC5) may be formed to surround the second hole (H2) of the substrate (210).
[0238] The sixth wrapping section (WC6) can be formed to surround the fifth wrapping section (WC5) by being spaced apart from the fifth wrapping section (WC5) by a predetermined distance.
[0239] The seventh wrapping section (WC7) can be formed to surround the sixth wrapping section (WC6) by being spaced apart from the sixth wrapping section (WC6) by a predetermined distance.
[0240] The eighth wrapping section (WC8) can be formed to surround the seventh wrapping section (WC7) by being spaced apart from the seventh wrapping section (WC7) by a predetermined distance.
[0241] The third conductive portion (226) may include a first connection portion (CC1) and a second connection portion (CC2). The third conductive portion (226) may further include a third connection portion (CC3). The third conductive portion (226) may further include a fourth connection portion (CC4).
[0242] The first connecting portion (CC1) can be formed to connect the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the fifth wrapping portion (WC5).
[0243] The second connecting portion (CC2) is formed to connect the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), but may be formed at a predetermined distance from the first connecting portion (CC1).
[0244] The third connecting portion (CC3) is formed to connect the third wrapping portion (WC3) and the seventh wrapping portion (WC7), but may be formed at a predetermined distance from the second connecting portion (CC2).
[0245] The fourth connecting portion (CC4) is formed to connect the fourth wrapping portion (WC4) and the eighth wrapping portion (WC8), but may be formed at a predetermined distance from the third connecting portion (CC3).
[0246] The first link portion (LC1) may be formed to connect the first wrapping portion (WC1), the fifth wrapping portion (WC5), and the first connection portion (CC1) with the third wrapping portion (WC3), the seventh wrapping portion (WC7), and the third connection portion (CC3). For example, the first link portion (LC1) may be formed to connect an end of the first wrapping portion (WC1) and an end of the third wrapping portion (WC3) (Figs. 4 and 5).
[0247] The second link portion (LC2) may be formed to connect the second wrapping portion (WC2), the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), and the second connection portion (CC2) with the fourth wrapping portion (WC4), the eighth wrapping portion (WC8), and the fourth connection portion (CC4). For example, the second link portion (LC2) may be formed to connect an end of the sixth wrapping portion (WC6) and an end of the eighth wrapping portion (WC8) (Figs. 4 and 5).
[0248] Meanwhile, the first wrapping part (WC1), the second wrapping part (WC2), the fifth wrapping part (WC5), the sixth wrapping part (WC6), the first connecting part (CC1), and the second connecting part (CC2) can form the above electric circuit.
[0249] When the leaking electrolyte simultaneously contacts the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2), or simultaneously contacts the fifth wrapping portion (WC5) and the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), or simultaneously contacts the first connection portion (CC1) and the second connection portion (CC2), and accordingly, the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2), the fifth wrapping portion (WC5) and the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), or the first connection portion (CC1) and the second connection portion (CC2) are electrically connected through the leaking electrolyte, at least one of the resistance, current, and voltage of the electric circuit may change.
[0250] Accordingly, a leakage sensor (200) that detects electrolyte leakage in two parts of a battery cell (10) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration.
[0251] In a case where the first conductive portion (222) further includes a third wrapping portion (WC3), the second conductive portion (224) further includes a seventh wrapping portion (WC7), and the third conductive portion (226) further includes a third connection portion (CC3), the third wrapping portion (WC3), the seventh wrapping portion (WC7), and the third connection portion (CC3) can also form the electric circuit.
[0252] At this time, the leaking electrolyte contacts the first wrapping part (WC1) and the second wrapping part (WC2) at the same time, or contacts the second wrapping part (WC2) and the third wrapping part (WC3) at the same time, or contacts the fifth wrapping part (WC5) and the sixth wrapping part (WC6) at the same time, or contacts the sixth wrapping part (WC6) and the seventh wrapping part (WC7) at the same time, or contacts the first connecting part (CC1) and the second connecting part (CC2) at the same time, or contacts the second connecting part (CC2) and the third connecting part (CC3) at the same time, and accordingly, the first wrapping part (WC1) and the second wrapping part (WC2), the second wrapping part (WC2) and the third wrapping part (WC3), the fifth wrapping part (WC5) and the sixth wrapping part (WC6), the sixth wrapping part (WC6) and the seventh wrapping part (WC7), the first connecting part (CC1) and the second connecting part (CC2), or When the second connector (CC2) and the third connector (CC3) are electrically connected through the leaking electrolyte, at least one of the resistance, current, and voltage of the electric circuit can change.
[0253] Accordingly, the leakage detection area or leakage detection width of the leakage sensor (200) can be increased, or the separation distance between the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2), the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the third wrapping portion (WC3), the fifth wrapping portion (WC5) and the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), the sixth wrapping portion (WC6) and the seventh wrapping portion (WC7), the first connecting portion (CC1) and the second connecting portion (CC2), or the second connecting portion (CC2) and the third connecting portion (CC3) can be reduced, so that the performance or sensitivity of the leakage sensor (200) can be improved.
[0254] At this time, the first wrapping portion (WC1), the fifth wrapping portion (WC5), and the first connection portion (CC1) and the third wrapping portion (WC3), the seventh wrapping portion (WC7), and the third connection portion (CC3) can be connected to each other. For example, as described above, by connecting the end of the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the end of the third wrapping portion (WC3) by the first link portion (LC1), the first wrapping portion (WC1), the fifth wrapping portion (WC5), and the first connection portion (CC1) and the third wrapping portion (WC3), the seventh wrapping portion (WC7), and the third connection portion (CC3) can be connected to each other (Figs. 4 and 5).
[0255] Accordingly, the leakage sensor (200) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration.
[0256] For example, if only one of the first, third, fifth, and seventh wrapping portions (WC1, WC3, WC5, WC7) and the first and third connecting portions (CC1, CC3) (e.g., the fifth wrapping portion) is connected to the first electrode (e.g., the + pole) of an external power source, and only one of the second and sixth wrapping portions (WC2, WC6) and the second connecting portion (CC1, CC2) is connected to the second electrode (e.g., the - pole) of the same external power source, the leakage sensor (200) can detect all electrolytes that come into contact with the first and second wrapping portions, the second and third wrapping portions, the fifth and sixth wrapping portions, the sixth and seventh wrapping portions, the first and second connecting portions, and the second and third connecting portions simultaneously. That is, since only one external power source is required, the electric circuit can be simplified and the cost and installation space can be reduced.
[0257] In a case where the first conductive part (222) further includes a fourth wrapping part (WC4), the second conductive part (224) further includes an eighth wrapping part (WC8), and the third conductive part (226) further includes a fourth connection part (CC4), the fourth wrapping part (WC4), the eighth wrapping part (WC8), and the fourth connection part (CC4) can also form the electric circuit.
[0258] At this time, the leaking electrolyte contacts the first wrapping part (WC1) and the second wrapping part (WC2) at the same time, or contacts the second wrapping part (WC2) and the third wrapping part (WC3) at the same time, or contacts the third wrapping part (WC3) and the fourth wrapping part (WC4) at the same time, or contacts the fifth wrapping part (WC5) and the sixth wrapping part (WC6) at the same time, or contacts the sixth wrapping part (WC6) and the seventh wrapping part (WC7) at the same time, or contacts the seventh wrapping part (WC7) and the eighth wrapping part (WC8) at the same time, or contacts the first connecting part (CC1) and the second connecting part (CC2) at the same time, or contacts the second connecting part (CC2) and the third connecting part (CC3) at the same time, or contacts the third connecting part (CC3) and the fourth connecting part (CC4) at the same time, and accordingly, the first wrapping part (WC1) and the second wrapping part (WC2), the second wrapping part (WC2) and When the third wrapping part (WC3), the third wrapping part (WC3) and the fourth wrapping part (WC4), the fifth wrapping part (WC5) and the sixth wrapping part (WC6), the sixth wrapping part (WC6) and the seventh wrapping part (WC7), the seventh wrapping part (WC7) and the eighth wrapping part (WC8), the first connecting part (CC1) and the second connecting part (CC2), the second connecting part (CC2) and the third connecting part (CC3), or the third connecting part (CC3) and the fourth connecting part (CC4) are electrically connected through the leaking electrolyte, at least one of the resistance, current, and voltage of the electric circuit may change.
[0259] Accordingly, the leakage detection area or leakage detection width of the leakage sensor (200) can be increased, or the separation distance between the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2), the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the third wrapping portion (WC3), the third wrapping portion (WC3) and the fourth wrapping portion (WC4), the fifth wrapping portion (WC5) and the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), the sixth wrapping portion (WC6) and the seventh wrapping portion (WC7), the seventh wrapping portion (WC7) and the eighth wrapping portion (WC8), the first connecting portion (CC1) and the second connecting portion (CC2), the second connecting portion (CC2) and the third connecting portion (CC3), or the third connecting portion (CC3) and the fourth connecting portion (CC4) can be reduced, so that the performance or sensitivity of the leakage sensor (200) can be improved.
[0260] At this time, as described above, the first wrapping portion (WC1), the fifth wrapping portion (WC5), and the first connection portion (CC1) and the third wrapping portion (WC3), the seventh wrapping portion (WC7), and the third connection portion (CC3) can be connected to each other. In addition, the second wrapping portion (WC2), the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), and the second connection portion (CC2) and the fourth wrapping portion (WC4), the eighth wrapping portion (WC8), and the fourth connection portion (CC4) can be connected to each other.
[0261] For example, as described above, by connecting the end of the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the end of the third wrapping portion (WC3) by the first link portion (LC1), the first wrapping portion (WC1), the fifth wrapping portion (WC5), and the first connection portion (CC1) and the third wrapping portion (WC3), the seventh wrapping portion (WC7), and the third connection portion (CC3) can be connected to each other (Figs. 4 and 5). In addition, by connecting the end of the sixth wrapping portion (WC6) and the end of the eighth wrapping portion (WC8) by the second link portion (LC2), the second wrapping portion (WC2), the sixth wrapping portion (WC6), and the second connection portion (CC2) and the fourth wrapping portion (WC4), the eighth wrapping portion (WC8), and the fourth connection portion (CC4) can be connected to each other (Figs. 4 and 5).
[0262] Accordingly, the leakage sensor (200) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration.
[0263] For example, if only one (e.g., the fifth wrapping part) among the first, third, fifth and seventh wrapping parts (WC1, WC3, WC5, WC7) and the first and third connecting parts (CC1, CC3) is connected to the first electrode (e.g., the + pole) of the external power source, and only one (e.g., the fourth wrapping part) among the second, fourth, sixth and eighth wrapping parts (WC2, WC4, WC6, WC8) and the second and fourth connecting parts (CC2, CC4) is connected to the second electrode (e.g., the - pole) of the external power source, then the leakage sensor (200) is connected to the first and second wrapping parts, the second and third wrapping parts, the third and fourth wrapping parts, the fifth and sixth wrapping parts, the sixth and seventh wrapping parts, the seventh and eighth wrapping parts, the first and second connecting parts, the second and third connecting parts, the third and All electrolytes in contact with the fourth connector can be detected simultaneously. This means that only one external power supply is required, simplifying the electrical circuit and reducing costs and installation space.
[0264] [Second embodiment of the leakage sensor]
[0265] Referring to FIG. 6, the leakage sensor (200) according to the second embodiment may include a conductor (220) similar to the leakage sensor (200) according to the first embodiment. In addition, the leakage sensor (200) according to the second embodiment may include a substrate (210). Hereinafter, the differences from the leakage sensor (200) according to the first embodiment will be examined.
[0266] The sixth wrapping section (WC6) may be formed to be spaced apart from the fifth wrapping section (WC5) by a predetermined distance and surrounded by the fifth wrapping section (WC5), but to surround the second section (P2) (e.g., to surround the second hole).
[0267] The seventh wrapping section (WC7) may be formed to be spaced apart from the sixth wrapping section (WC6) by a predetermined distance and surrounded by the sixth wrapping section (WC6), but to surround the second section (P2) (e.g., to surround the second hole).
[0268] The eighth wrapping section (WC8) may be formed to be spaced apart from the seventh wrapping section (WC7) by a predetermined distance and surrounded by the seventh wrapping section (WC7), but to surround the second section (P2) (e.g., to surround the second hole).
[0269] Matters not mentioned in relation to the leakage sensor (200) according to the second embodiment can be inferred from the leakage sensor (200) according to the first embodiment described above.
[0270] [Battery cell example 2]
[0271] The battery cell (10) according to the second embodiment may include an electrode assembly (not shown), an electrolyte (not shown), a case (100), and a leakage sensor (200), similar to the battery cell (10) according to the first embodiment. Hereinafter, differences from the battery cell (10) according to the first embodiment will be examined.
[0272] The case (100) may include a first portion (P1). The second portion (P2) described above may be omitted.
[0273] The first portion (P1) may include the entire area of a predetermined hole formed or to be formed in the case (100). Here, the predetermined hole may be, for example, a liquid injection hole or a vent hole.
[0274] The leakage sensor (200) can detect electrolyte leaking to the outside through the first portion (P1). The conductor (220) of the leakage sensor (200) can be formed to surround the first portion (P1).
[0275] The conductor (220) may include the first conductive portion (222) described above. The second conductive portion (224) and third conductive portion (226) described above may be omitted.

[0277] The conductor (220) may surround the outside of a predetermined hole (e.g., a liquid hole or a vent hole) formed or to be formed in the case (100).
[0278] Accordingly, when the internal pressure of the case (100) increases, the internal material of the case (100) can be quickly and easily discharged to the outside through a predetermined hole without being obstructed by the leakage sensor (200). Accordingly, accidents such as explosion or fire can be prevented.
[0279] The first wrapping section (WC1), the second wrapping section (WC2), and the third wrapping section (WC3) can form the above electric circuit.
[0280] When the leaking electrolyte comes into contact with the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2) at the same time or with the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the third wrapping portion (WC3) at the same time, and thus the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2) or the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the third wrapping portion (WC3) are electrically connected through the leaking electrolyte, at least one of the resistance, current and voltage of the electric circuit may change.
[0281] Accordingly, the leakage detection area or leakage detection width around the first portion (P1) can be increased, or the separation distance between the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2) or the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the third wrapping portion (WC3) can be reduced. Accordingly, the performance or sensitivity of the leakage sensor (200) can be improved.
[0282] The first wrapping section (WC1) and the third wrapping section (WC3) can be connected to each other.
[0283] For example, as described above, the end of the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the end of the third wrapping portion (WC3) are connected by the first link portion (LC1), so that the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the third wrapping portion (WC3) can be connected to each other.
[0284] Accordingly, the leakage sensor (200) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration.
[0285] In the case where the conductor (220) further includes a fourth wrapping portion (WC4), the fourth wrapping portion (WC4) can also form the electric circuit.
[0286] At this time, if the leaking electrolyte comes into contact with the first wrapping part (WC1) and the second wrapping part (WC2) at the same time, or with the second wrapping part (WC2) and the third wrapping part (WC3) at the same time, or with the third wrapping part (WC3) and the fourth wrapping part (WC4) at the same time, and accordingly, if the first wrapping part (WC1) and the second wrapping part (WC2), the second wrapping part (WC2) and the third wrapping part (WC3), or the third wrapping part (WC3) and the fourth wrapping part (WC4) are electrically connected through the leaking electrolyte, at least one of the resistance, current, and voltage of the electric circuit may change.
[0287] Accordingly, the leakage detection area or leakage detection width around the first portion (P1) can be increased, or the separation distance between the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the second wrapping portion (WC2), the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the third wrapping portion (WC3), or the third wrapping portion (WC3) and the fourth wrapping portion (WC4) can be reduced, so that the performance or sensitivity of the leakage sensor (200) can be improved.
[0288] At this time, as described above, the first wrapping part (WC1) and the third wrapping part (WC3) can be connected to each other. In addition, the second wrapping part (WC2) and the fourth wrapping part (WC4) can be connected to each other.
[0289] For example, as described above, the end of the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the end of the third wrapping portion (WC3) are connected by the first link portion (LC1), so that the first wrapping portion (WC1) and the third wrapping portion (WC3) can be connected to each other. In addition, unlike in FIG. 4, the end of the second wrapping portion (WC2) connected to the second connecting portion (CC2) and the end of the fourth wrapping portion (WC4) connected to the fourth connecting portion (CC4) are connected to each other, so that the second wrapping portion (WC2) and the fourth wrapping portion (WC4) can be connected to each other.
[0290] Accordingly, the leakage sensor (200) can be easily implemented at low cost with a simple configuration.
