Description

Laparoscopic specimen recovery pack with easy-to-recover pattern structure

[0001] The present invention relates to a laparoscopic specimen recovery pack having a pattern structure that facilitates specimen recovery by allowing a bag containing a specimen collected during laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery to be easily recovered outside the abdominal cavity through a small hole of a laparoscope.

[0002] In minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic and robotic surgery), specimens of various sizes are obtained after surgery for benign and malignant diseases.

[0003] To remove these specimens from the body, a general laparotomy is performed by using surgical instruments through the laparotomy.

[0004] However, in the case of minimally invasive surgery, the surgery is performed through a small hole measuring 0.5 to 1.2 cm in size, so if the sample collected is large, it cannot be removed through the small hole made in the abdomen.

[0005] In this case, a removal device was inserted into the abdominal cavity together with a bag, and the sample was placed in the bag that was advanced into the laparoscope. The sample was then removed little by little with forceps or by tearing the hole of the laparoscope wider.

[0006] To this end, a device for removing resected tissue, including an auger screw for recovering a specimen removed during laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery from the abdominal cavity and transporting the resected tissue for easy removal outside the abdominal cavity, a grinding blade that rotates integrally with the auger screw and crushes the resected tissue, a cover part that accommodates the auger screw and the grinding blade, and a motor that drives the auger screw and the grinding blade, and in which the crushed resected tissue is transported by the auger screw and removed to the outside, has been disclosed by the Korean Intellectual Property Office as Patent Publication No. 10-2020-0097163 (hereinafter referred to as “Selection No. 1”).

[0007] In addition, an endo-bag device for recovering a specimen removed during laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery from the abdominal cavity and easily removing it from the abdominal cavity has been applied for at the Korean Intellectual Property Office and published as Patent Publication No. 10-2011-0086219 (hereinafter referred to as “Selection No. 2”).

[0008] The invention relates to an endobag that is inserted into the abdominal cavity through a trocar (1; Trocar) used in laparoscopic surgery, and that can contain tumors or internal organs removed during the surgical procedure and then be taken out of the abdominal cavity again, and that has an inlet (21) open on the upper surface using a transparent vinyl material that is harmless to the human body.

[0009] A vinyl bag (2) having a wire receiving portion (22) formed along the circumference of the above inlet portion (21) and one side thereof is formed to be inserted into the wire receiving portion (22) and then to be formed to go around the circumference once and then pass through the ring (31) so that the inlet portion (21) of the vinyl bag (2) can be tightened or opened.

[0010] The other side is connected to a fixture (32) made of a ball or ring with a diameter smaller than the insertion hole (11) of the trocar (1), and has a shape of a wire (3) having elastic restoring force against bending and a pipe with an outer diameter smaller than the insertion hole (11) of the trocar (1) and larger than the fixture (32).

[0011] The above vinyl bag (2) is composed of a protective cover (4) that is folded long and inserted so that both sides are in close contact with the ring (31) of the above wire (3).

[0012] The invention has the effect of making it easy to contain tumors, intestines, etc. (hereinafter referred to as specimens) by automatically opening the entrance of an endobag inserted into the abdominal cavity due to the elasticity of the wire when it comes out of the trocar.

[0013] The elastic wire, which is a component for expanding the entrance, is simpler and less bulky than the existing spring structure such as a plate spring or coil spring, making it easily applicable to one-port surgery.

[0014] However, the previous invention had a problem in that when a specimen is placed in an endo bag, the outer diameter of the plastic bag expands due to the volume and weight of the specimen, so that it cannot escape through the minimally invasive opening, and thus the minimally invasive opening is incised larger to provide a minimally invasive effect.

[0015] The purpose of the present invention is to facilitate specimen recovery by positioning a specimen collected through a small hole of a laparoscope in a longitudinal position within a recovery pack.

[0016] The present invention comprises a recovery pack having an inlet through which a specimen collected from a laparoscope is introduced, and a collection hole for containing the specimen, the space being formed such that the diameter of the inlet is gradually narrower; a check hole having a collection dome formed with a volume smaller than the volume of the collection hole and receiving the specimen in a vertical position when the recovery pack is recovered through the laparoscope; and pattern lines arranged at regular intervals on the outer surface of the check hole such that the length of the receiving hole of the collection dome is extended by the specimen being erected in a vertical position when the laparoscope passes through it.

[0017] In a configuration in which the purpose of the present invention is achieved, the recovery pack is made of a transparent material containing elasticity and flexibility, and a collection hole is formed in a funnel shape with a volume that gradually narrows from the inlet, and a check hole formed at the bottom of the collection hole with a volume smaller than the collection hole is preferably made of a transparent material having a smaller elasticity and flexibility than the recovery pack, and is formed repeatedly at regular intervals.

[0018] In a configuration in which the purpose of the present invention is achieved, it is preferable that the pattern line be configured to include a first band made of the same material as the recovery pack but thicker than the thickness of the recovery pack and thus having lower tensile strength than the recovery pack, and a second band made of a tough material and having higher tensile strength than the recovery pack material at a certain distance from the first band.

[0019] In a configuration in which the purpose of the present invention is achieved, it is preferable that the pattern line be configured to include a first band made of the same material as the recovery pack but thicker than the thickness of the recovery pack and thus having lower tensile strength than the recovery pack, and a second band made of a tough material and having higher tensile strength than the recovery pack material at a certain distance from the first band.

[0020] In a configuration in which the purpose of the present invention is achieved, it is preferable that the first band is formed with a front and a back surface made of the same material as the recovery pack, and an air layer is formed between the front and back surfaces, so that it is installed at regular intervals on the outer surface of the check hole.

[0021] In a configuration in which the purpose of the present invention is achieved, it is preferable that the first band is configured to be installed at regular intervals on the outer surface of the check hole by selecting one of a rubber material or a synthetic resin material having a lower tensile strength than the recovery pack.

[0022] In a configuration in which the purpose of the present invention is achieved, it is preferable that the recovery pack further be configured to include a tightening member that causes the internal volume from the inlet to the collection hole to be compressed by a pulling line.

[0023] In a configuration in which the purpose of the present invention is achieved, the tightening member is preferably configured to include a compression member installed on the inner surface of the collection hole including the inlet and having guide holes provided at equal intervals, and a tightening line inserted through the guide holes in a zigzag manner and pulled at the inlet, so that when a specimen collected from a laparoscope is removed, the internal volume including the inlet of the recovery pack is reduced by pulling the tightening line.

[0024] In a configuration in which the purpose of the present invention is achieved, the tightening member is preferably configured such that the compression band is installed on the inner surface of the collection hole and has a plurality of guide holes arranged at regular intervals, a pulling cord penetrates through the plurality of guide holes and is exposed at the upper end of the inlet, and the tightening cord located at the inlet of the recovery pack is connected to a remotely controlled surgical tool, and the outer diameter of the collection hole shrinks by pulling the tightening cord by manipulation of the surgical tool when the compression band is removed from the laparoscope.

[0025] The present invention has the advantage of facilitating specimen recovery by allowing specimens collected from within a laparoscope to be positioned vertically within a recovery pack, and by compressing the specimens of medium to large size through a tightening member and a pattern line.

[0026] The present invention can be used in all surgeries requiring the retrieval of small and medium-sized specimens during minimally invasive surgery.

[0036] Specific embodiments in which the present invention may be practiced are described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0037] These embodiments are described in sufficient detail to enable those skilled in the art to practice the present invention, and it should be understood that the various embodiments of the present invention, while different from one another, are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

[0038] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings so that a person having ordinary skill in the art to which the present invention pertains can easily practice the present invention.

[0039]

[0040] Figure 1 shows a perspective view of a specimen recovery pack to which the present invention is applied.

[0041] The laparoscopic specimen recovery pack of the present invention, which has a pattern structure for easy specimen recovery, is equipped with a recovery pack (100) that is mounted on a laparoscopic invasive surgical device (T) and has an inlet (110) through which a laparoscopic specimen (A) is introduced, and a collection hole (130) through which the specimen (A) is guided and contained in a space that gradually becomes narrower than the diameter of the inlet (110).

[0042] It is composed of a collection dome (210) formed in the longitudinal direction at the bottom of the above recovery pack (100) and having a smaller volume than the collection hole (130), and a check hole (200) in which pattern lines (300) with different elasticity are formed at regular intervals on the outer surface of the collection dome (210) so that when a specimen (A) is recovered from a laparoscope, it is gradually compressed left and right and becomes elongated up and down as the specimen (A) is pushed downward.

[0043] The above recovery pack (100) is made of a transparent material containing elasticity and flexibility, and the internal volume of the inlet (110) gradually narrows toward the collection hole (130) to form a funnel shape with a narrow upper and lower side, and the check hole (200) has a diameter with a volume smaller than the diameter of the collection hole (130) and is formed with a length equal to or shorter than the length of the collection hole (130).

[0044]

[0045] Figure 2 shows an enlarged view of a check hole provided in a recovery pack of the present invention.

[0046] The above check hole (200) has a collection dome (210) having a volume that allows the specimens collected inside the laparoscope to be collected in the collection hole (130) and concentrated for removal outside the laparoscope, and pattern lines (300) are installed at regular intervals on the outer surface of the collection dome (210).

[0047] The above pattern line (300) is formed of the same material as the recovery pack (100), but is formed thicker than the thickness of the recovery pack (100), so that a first band (310) having lower tensile strength than the recovery pack (100) and a second band (330) made of a tough material having higher tensile strength than the material of the recovery pack (100) are alternately installed at regular intervals.

[0048] When forming the first band (310), it is preferable to use the same material as the recovery pack (100), but to form an air layer between the front and back surfaces forming the first band (310) so that an tensile strength lower than the tensile strength of the recovery pack (100) is maintained.

[0049] In addition, the second band (330) is formed from a tough material with a lower tensile strength than the recovery pack (100) material and is spaced apart from the first band (310).

[0050]

[0051] Figure 3 is a state in which a specimen is collected from a laparoscope in a recovery pack of the present invention, Figure 4 is a state diagram of a check hole in the case in which the collected specimen is small in size, and a state diagram in which a specimen is introduced into the check hole, and Figure 5 is a state diagram in which a specimen is removed from a laparoscope in a vertical state from the check hole.

[0052]

[0053] The above check hole (200) is formed with a smaller volume than the volume of the collection hole (130) of the recovery pack (100), so that when the sample is recovered, the sample (A) is pushed downwards through the collection hole (130), and the sample (A) collected by the smaller volume is collected vertically within the check hole (200).

[0054] At this time, the outer surface of the collection dome (210) of the check hole (200) is gradually compressed by the elasticity of the first band (310) and the second band (330) through the pattern line (300), so that the check hole (200) becomes elongated upward.

[0055] In this way, the sample (A) collected from the laparoscope is suitable for applying the recovery pack (100) of the present invention when its size is small.

[0056] However, there are cases where the size of the specimen to be collected and removed during laparoscopic surgery is such that it is not easy to remove the specimen (A') through the laparoscope port.

[0057] In cases where the size of the specimen (A') is large, the surgeon has a very difficult time, and when trying to achieve an efficient surgical outcome, the laparoscope may be pierced too widely, causing discomfort to the patient during the postoperative recovery process.

[0058] In case the size of the sample (A') collected in this way is large, a tightening member (400) that tightens the internal volume of the recovery pack (100) of the present invention to form an optimal diameter for passing through the laparoscope can be applied.

[0059]

[0060] Fig. 6 shows a state in which a tightening member is applied to a recovery pack when the size of a sample collected in the present invention is large, and Fig. 7 shows a cross-sectional state taken along line aa of Fig. 6.

[0061] The above recovery pack (100) is further provided with a tightening member (400) that causes the contents from the entrance (110) to the collection hole (130) to be compressed by a pulling string.

[0062] The above tightening member (400) is composed of a pressure band (410) installed on the inner surface of the collection hole (130) and having a plurality of guide holes (430) arranged at equal intervals, and a pulling line (450) that penetrates the plurality of guide holes (430) and is exposed at the upper end of the inlet (110).

[0063] Therefore, when the surgeon collects a large specimen (A') during laparoscopic surgery, the inlet (110) of the collection bag (100) with the tightening member (400) installed is installed in the surgical equipment (T) and the specimen is introduced into the laparoscope. When the large specimen (A') is collected through the collection hole (130), it flows into the collection dome (210) of the check hole (200) connected to the collection hole (130).

[0064] When a large specimen (A') is collected through the check hole (200), the surgeon manipulates the surgical equipment (T) to pull the pull cord (450) exposed at the entrance (110) of the recovery pack (100), and the pull cord (450) is pulled through the penetrated guide hole (430), so that the internal volume of the collection hole (130) and the entrance (110) are reduced simultaneously.

[0065] This reduction in content volume ultimately results in a reduction in the diameter of the recovery pack (100) and an increase in length toward the check hole (200).

[0066] In this way, as the pull cord (450) is pulled, the compression band (410) causes the outer diameter of the collection hole (130) to shrink as much as possible, so that a large specimen (A') can be taken out of the laparoscope without further widening the laparoscope, and the patient can recover according to the planned surgical schedule.

[0067]

[0068] Although the embodiments have been described as above, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, but can be manufactured in various different forms, and a person having ordinary skill in the art to which the present invention pertains will understand that the present invention can be implemented in other specific forms without changing the technical idea or essential features of the present invention.

[0069] Therefore, it should be understood that the embodiments described above are exemplary in all respects and not limiting.
