Description

BACKPACK WITH MULTIMEDIA DEVICE AREA OF TECHNOLOGY [1] This technical solution generally applies to load-carrying products, and more specifically to a backpack with a multimedia device. LEVEL OF TECHNOLOGY [2] Nowadays, wardrobe items for carrying various loads, such as personal items, documents, various things, etc., have become an integral part of the daily life of a large number of people. For example, backpacks are a means of carrying various things, without which a person’s usual life can be uncomfortable, and in certain situations even critical for the sphere of his life. [3] With the development of technology and the increase in the speed of life, some processes have begun to be implemented on portable computing devices. For example, work processes and tasks can be solved by people on the move with only a mobile device or laptop, which is usually located in a means of carrying loads. [4] However, with the growth of human mobility and the ability to use portable devices in everyday life tasks, there has also been a need for portable equipment that can perform and replicate the functions of computing devices, such as the introduction of appropriate portable multimedia equipment that provides the ability to perform work tasks in full-screen mode. [5] Thus, backpacks with multimedia devices implemented in the form of a rigid display attached to the wall of the backpack are known from the state of the art. [6] The disadvantages of these solutions are the low reliability of such displays, due to the high sensitivity of the display to any deformations, which, as a consequence, imposes a number of restrictions on the use of the backpack and the shape of the said backpack. In addition, another disadvantage of such solutions is the low capacity of the backpack. [7] The prior art also includes a solution disclosed in US patent application No. US 2009 / 0314677 Al (EGGATZ ROSS E [US] et al.), published on 24.12.2009. This solution discloses a soft bag with a display integrated on one of the front sides for the ability to display multimedia content. [8] The disadvantage of this solution is the low level of protection of the display and the susceptibility of the display to damage, due to the location of the display, as well as the lack of protective elements of the display. In addition, the display does not provide and does not assume the ability to fully display multimedia content from other computing devices, due to the design features of the display. [9] Common disadvantages of existing solutions in this area include the lack of a backpack with a multimedia device that ensures high reliability of the said device while ensuring the possibility of making the backpack body from easily deformable materials, as well as maintaining the internal volume of the backpack body in the presence of a display. Also, the disadvantages of existing solutions include the inability of existing displays to display the screen of a mobile device or PC or duplicate said screens. In addition, the said backpack must contain peripheral devices that ensure the functionality of standard peripheral devices. ESSENCE OF THE TECHNICAL SOLUTION

[0041] In the following description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of various embodiments of the claimed technical solution. However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that various embodiments of the present technical solution may be practiced without some of these specific details. The following description provides only exemplary embodiments and is not intended to limit the scope or applicability of the disclosure. It should also be appreciated that elements of the claimed solution may be practiced in many ways in addition to the specific details set forth herein.

[0042] The term "backpack" in this solution should be understood as a specialized bag for long-term carrying of various loads on the back. The load may be the user's personal belongings, clothing items, computing equipment, food products, etc. In one particular embodiment, the backpack may be equipped with two straps that go from the neck area to the sides, put on the shoulders. In another particular embodiment, the backpack may be a soft bag with one strap. designed to hold said bag on the back of the user. Thus, the term backpack can be understood as an item of clothing worn on the back for carrying loads, which is secured to the user by at least one shoulder fastening element.

[0043] Fig. 1 shows a schematic side view of a backpack with a multimedia device 100 in an open state. In one embodiment, the backpack 100 comprises a housing HO, a display 120, and a folding protective element 130.

[0044] Backpack 100 may be a back-worn item of clothing for carrying loads. Thus, backpack 100 may be a back bag with shoulder fastening elements, a back bag with one shoulder fastening element, etc. Backpack 100 may be made of both soft textile materials and rigid materials or using a combination of the said materials. Thus, for example, the backpack may be made of textile materials such as polyester, cotton, as well as using natural or synthetic materials such as suede, leather, nylon, etc. Rigid materials may be such materials as plastic, carbon, metal, etc. The said materials may be used both in the elements of the backpack body and in the fastening elements of the backpack.

[0045] The body 110 may be a structure that forms at least one hollow compartment inside the walls of the body. Thus, in one particular embodiment, the body 110 comprises a front wall, two side walls, a bottom, a back wall, and at least one shoulder strap. As indicated above, the walls may be made of both soft materials and hard materials, or a combination of both. In addition, in another particular embodiment, the backpack may comprise pockets located, for example, on the side walls of the body 110, connecting elements such as fasteners that provide access to at least one compartment (a hollow compartment inside the body 110) of the backpack 100 and / or access to the pockets of the backpack. Thus, for example, the fastener may be located on the front wall of the body 110 and be a zipper that provides access to the interior of the backpack 100 formed by the walls of the body 110.In another particular embodiment, the interior space of the backpack may be divided into compartments, for example, by means of textile partitions and / or contain pockets both with and without connecting elements such as fasteners.

[0046] The display 120 of the multimedia input-output device is designed to display information (content) in high quality. The display 120 can be located on one of the sides of the housing 110, for example, in a compartment. In one In a particular embodiment, the display 120 can be placed in a pocket of said compartment. The walls of the pocket can be made in such a way as to frame the display 120 and have a convex shape relative to the plane of the display 120. In one particular embodiment, the compartment is an area on one of the walls of the housing 110, formed between the wall of the housing 110 and the protective flap 130. In another particular embodiment, the pocket for placing the display 120 can be covered with a transparent material, for example, a film, providing additional protection.

[0047] In addition, the display 120 housing compartment may also accommodate input / output devices, such as a camera, microphone, speakers, keyboard, manipulator, touchpad, trackpad, penmouse, mousepoint, joystick, gamepad or trackball. Also, the display 120 housing compartment may contain areas for accommodating external portable devices connected to said display 120, such as pockets, device holders (cradle, etc.).

[0048] In one particular embodiment, the compartment for placing the display 120 contains at least one speaker, microphone, camera. Also, under the display 120, a pocket for installing a smartphone or portable game console can be made.

[0049] In addition, in one particular embodiment, the display 120 is configured to display the screen of a mobile device or PC or to operate in the auxiliary screen mode. For example, this capability can be implemented in a computing unit connected to the display 120 via a screen mirroring function, such as Wi-Fi Direct, Airplay, etc. In addition, in another particular embodiment, the expansion of the auxiliary screen for a PC or wearable mobile device can be performed via Samsung DeX or Miracast technology.

[0050] The display 120 may be a liquid crystal system, such as a thin-film transistor (TFT) display, IPS screens, OLED displays (Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) displays), AMOLED displays, a flexible display, etc. In addition, in another particular embodiment, the display 120 may be touch-sensitive, have one or more physical buttons, and / or other interactive components to facilitate user interaction with the display 120.

[0051] Thus, in one particular embodiment, the display 120 may be a flexible roll-up type screen that can be housed in a tube and can be stretched (pulled out) and secured in an open position for use.

[0052] For example, a flexible roll-type screen may be a flexible display panel consisting of a first substrate, a display unit, a passivation layer, and a second substrate. The first substrate may include a transparent polyimide material. The first substrate may be formed by curing a polyimide resin that is applied with a certain thickness to the front surface of the separation layer applied to the carrier glass substrate. The display unit may include a pixel array layer that is located in the region of the first substrate. A passivation layer may be located around the display unit. The passivation layer prevents oxygen or water from penetrating into the light-emitting device layer. The second substrate may be located on the passivation layer and may include a first surface adjacent to the passivation layer and a second surface opposite the first surface. The second substrate may primarily prevent oxygen or water from penetrating into the light-emitting device layer. The second substrate may be made, for example, of metal foil.It is obvious to a specialist in this technical field that any flexible roll-type screen known from the state of the art can be used and the present technical solution is not limited to the given embodiment. Thus, in another particular embodiment, flexible roll-type screens from Huawei, Samsung, LG, etc. can be used.

[0053] Thus, in one particular embodiment, the display 120 may be a flexible display, made with the ability to bend under the action of an external load, take a curved shape, including being rolled up. Such displays make it possible to eliminate display breakages from external forces and increase the operational durability of the multimedia device built into the backpack.

[0054] The display 120 is also connected to a computing unit. Thus, the said computing unit can be at least a display control board, a board on a controller or processor, a mini-computer, a single-board computer (SBC), a system on a chip (SoC). The said computing unit is intended to control the elements of the display 120. Thus, for example, in one particular embodiment, the computing unit can control the backlight of pixels for displaying information on the display 120. In another particular embodiment, the computing unit is configured to convert analog signals into digital ones, as well as to scale images in accordance with the resolution and size of the display. In addition, the computing unit is configured to exchange data with an external device, for example, using network interaction means both via a wired and wireless communication channel, such as: Bluetooth and / or BLE module, Wi-Fi module, GSM modem, etc. In addition, as indicated above, the computing unit is also designed with the ability to support screen duplication technologies such as airplay, Miracast, etc. In another particular embodiment, the computing unit may contain input / output interfaces for organizing the operation of external connected devices, for example, PCI, AGP, PS / 2, IrDa, FireWire, LPT, COM, SATA, IDE, Lightning, USB (2.0, 3.0, 3.1, micro, mini, type C), TRS / Audio jack (2.5, 3.5, 6.35), HDMI, DVI, VGA, Display Port, RJ45, RS232, etc.

[0055] In one particular embodiment, in order to organize the operation of the computing unit, the said computing unit is designed with the possibility of connecting to a power supply. Thus, in one particular embodiment, the computing unit may contain a built-in power source, for example, a removable or non-removable battery. In addition, in another particular embodiment, the power source may be a pluggable external device, for example, an external computing device connected to the said computing unit. Thus, for example, in the said embodiment, the computing unit may be supplied with energy from a laptop, for example, by means of Power Over Ethernet (PoE) technology, which allows transmitting electrical energy to a remote device along with data in an Ethernet network. In addition, in another particular embodiment, the power source may be an accumulator, a replaceable battery, a power bank, a solar battery, etc.In another particular embodiment, solar batteries can be placed on the body 110 of the backpack 100, for example, in the side walls of the body 110, in the upper part of the front wall, etc.

[0056] The protective flap element 130 may be a cover, a pad, etc., located on the compartment with the display 120. The element 130 may be made of both hard materials, such as plastic, carbon, and soft materials, for example, textile, nylon, leather, suede, etc. In one particular embodiment, a combination of the above materials may be used. In addition, in another particular embodiment, the element 130 may be made moisture-resistant or moisture-proof and shock-resistant. Also, said element 130 may have several layers that provide reliable protection for the display 120. In one particular embodiment, the element 130 may have two layers: the first is an outer layer made of a soft material, for example, textile, and the second is an inner layer made of an impact-absorbing material that prevents damage to the display 120 in the event of an inadvertent impact on the backpack 100.Shock absorbing materials may be porous materials, such as porous solids or liquids such as foam, polyurethane, pads. gel pads, etc. In addition, in another particular embodiment, a protective layer, for example, made of a hydrogel film, may be additionally located on the inner side of element 130.

[0057] As indicated above, the protective flap element 130 is intended to protect the compartment with the display 120 from mechanical damage and external influences and, accordingly, is the outer wall of the compartment. As indicated above, the element 130 can be a cover. The said cover can be located (fastened) in front of the display 120 on the fastening elements so that in the closed state it completely covers the visible part of the display 120. In one particular embodiment, the element 130 is removable (for example, fixed on skids, buttons, a zipper, etc.). In another particular embodiment, the element 130 is non-removable. Thus, the element 130 can be fastened to the backpack 130 by means of fasteners, for example, a zipper, clips, latches, etc. The element 130 is made in a shape corresponding to the shape of the display. Thus, in one particular embodiment, the element 130 is made of a rectangular or square shape. In the open state, element 130 can be freely positioned below the display.

[0058] Thus, in one particular embodiment, the protective element 130 is a cover with zippers, located in front of the compartment with the display 120. The zippers can be located along the contour of the element 130. The axis, relative to which the element 130 is closed / opened, can be located on one of the sides of the display 120 and be the fold line of the element 130, i.e. the line relative to which the element 130 is opened / closed, for example, from the bottom of the display, from the side, from the top. To form the said axis, the side of the element 130 adjacent to the housing 110 can be rigidly fixed to the wall of the housing 110, for example, sewn into the housing 110. In yet another particular embodiment, the element 130 can be fixed to the housing 110 on hinges. The hinges can also be located on one of the sides of the display. In another particular embodiment, element 130 may be removable by being connected to body 110 by means of latches, clips, straps, zippers, etc.The said fixing elements may be located, for example, at the corners of element 130.

[0059] In another particular embodiment, the element 130 may be provided with fixing elements for the input device. Thus, the protective flap element 130 may comprise, on the inner side, an area for accommodating information input devices. For example, in one particular embodiment, fixing elements such as pockets, latches, clips, are provided on the inner side of the cover. belts, a cradle, etc., providing the ability to install an input device. Input devices, as indicated above, can be a keyboard, a manipulator, a touchpad, a trackpad, a penmouse, a mousepoint, a joystick, a gamepad, or a trackball. In the open state of the compartment for placing the display 120, the display 120 and the inside of the element 130 essentially imitate the shape of a laptop, i.e. the user has the ability to use the element 130 as an input device, and the display 120 acts as an output device.

[0060] Fig. 2 illustrates a schematic frontal view of a backpack 100 with a multimedia device in an open state. The backpack 100 comprises a housing 110, a display 120, a protective flap 130, an area for placing a telephone 210, a speaker 220, a camera 230, a microphone 240, and an information input device 250.

[0061] The display housing compartment 120 can be located on the front part of the housing 110. The protective flap element 130 can be a cover forming the outer wall of the display housing compartment 120. Inside the compartment, the display 120 can be placed in the display housing area, for example, in a pocket located on the inner wall of the compartment. The element 130 can be secured to the housing 110 by means of fixing elements, and is designed with the possibility of opening / closing, for example, by means of a zipper located along the contour of the element 130. Also, information input / output elements are located inside the compartment. Thus, in one particular embodiment, a camera 230, speakers 220, and a microphone 240 are additionally located in the display housing area. In the open state of the element 130, the inner part of the element 130 contains information input devices 250, secured, for example, by means of fixing elements. In one particular embodiment, the element for fixing the input device 250 may be a pocket for placing the input device. In another particular embodiment, the input device 250 may be flexible and represent the inner layer of the element 130. Thus, the input device 250 may be a flexible keyboard connected to the computing unit or an external device, placed on the inner part of the cover. The said flexible keyboard may be made of rubber and placed on the inner part of the element 130. The compartment also contains an area for placing a telephone 210. The said area 210 may be a pocket placed on one of the walls of the compartment for installing a mobile telephone or a portable computing device.

[0062] In this solution, portable devices are understood to mean any portable communication device capable of transmitting data over a network and containing audio and / or video input / output facilities. Thus, portable devices may be: mobile communication devices such as a cell phone, smartphone, pager, wearable smart devices (e.g. smart watches, fitness bracelets, etc.), tablets or laptops, portable gaming devices, wearable audio or video devices, etc.

[0063] When an external device such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop is connected to the display 120, said devices may be placed in the area 210 and may function as a central (main) computing hub or workstation.

[0064] Fig. 3 illustrates a schematic front view of the backpack 100 with a multimedia device in the closed state.

[0065] As indicated above, the element 130 can be located in front of the display 120 in such a way that in the closed state it completely covers the front part of the display 120 and provides reliable protection for said display 120. In the closed state, the element 130 is fixed to the PO body, for example, by means of fixing elements such as a zipper, a clasp, latches, etc.

[0066] Fig. 4 illustrates a functional block diagram of a backpack 100 with a multimedia device. The backpack 100 contains a computing unit 410, a display 120, a power supply 420, an input device 250, and an input / output device 440. In addition, the backpack 100 is designed with the ability to exchange data with an external device 450.

[0067] The computing unit 410 may be at least a display control board, a board on a controller or processor, a mini-computer, a single-board computer (SBC), a system on a chip (SoC). The specified computing unit 410 is intended to control the elements of the display 120. The unit 410 is connected to the display 120, the unit 420 and is configured to be connected to the devices 250 and 440, and is also configured to be connected to the device 450. Thus, for example, in one particular embodiment, the computing unit can control the backlighting of pixels for displaying information on the display 120. In another particular embodiment, the computing unit is configured to convert analog signals into digital ones, as well as to scale images in accordance with the resolution and size of the display. In addition, the computing unit is configured to exchange data with an external device, such as devices 450, for example, using network interaction means both via a wired and wireless communication channel, such as: Bluetooth and / or BLE module, Wi-Fi module, GSM modem, etc. In addition, as indicated above, the computing unit is also configured to support screen duplication technologies, such as airplay, Miracast, etc. In another particular. In one embodiment, the computing unit may contain input / output interfaces for organizing the operation of external connected devices, for example, PCI, AGP, PS / 2, IrDa, FireWire, LPT, COM, SATA, IDE, Lightning, USB (2.0, 3.0, 3.1, micro, mini, type C), TRS / Audio jack (2.5, 3.5, 6.35), HDMI, DVI, VGA, Display Port, RJ45, RS232, etc.

[0068] In order to organize the operation of the computing unit 410 and the display 120, the backpack 100 also contains or is configured to be connected to a power supply unit 420. Thus, in one particular embodiment, the power supply unit 420 may be a built-in power source, for example, a removable or non-removable battery, such as a lithium-ion battery, located, for example, in the unit 410. In addition, in another particular embodiment, the power source 420 may be a connected external device, for example, an external computing device 450, connected to the said computing unit. Thus, for example, in the said embodiment, the computing unit may be supplied with energy from a laptop, for example, via Power Over Ethernet (PoE) technology, which allows for the transmission of electrical energy to a remote device along with data in an Ethernet network. In addition, in another particular embodiment, the power source 420 may be a battery, a replaceable battery, a power bank, a solar battery, etc. In another particular embodiment, the solar batteries may be placed on the body 110 of the backpack 100, for example, in the side walls of the body 110, in the upper part of the front wall, etc.

[0069] The input device 250 may be, for example, a keyboard, a manipulator, a touchpad, a trackpad, a penmouse, a mousepoint, a joystick, a gamepad or a trackball. In one particular embodiment, the device 250 is placed in the display 120 housing compartment. Thus, the input device 250 may be placed on the inner wall of the element 130, for example, on the fixation elements and / or built into the element 130. The device 250 may be configured to be connected to the unit 410 and the device 450, for example, via a communication interface, both wired and wirelessly.

[0070] The input / output devices 440 may be devices such as a speaker, microphone, camera. The said devices 440 may be placed in the display compartment and perform input / output of information from the user.

[0071] External devices 450 may be understood as portable devices, which are any portable communication device, designed with the ability to transmit data over a network and containing audio and / or video input / output means. Thus, portable devices may be: mobile communication devices, such as a cell phone, smartphone, pager, wearable smart devices (e.g., smart watches, fitness bracelets, etc.), tablets or laptops, portable gaming devices, game consoles, portable computers, wearable audio or video devices, etc. When connecting an external device 450, for example, via a communication interface, to the computing unit 410, the device 450 is designed with the ability to perform the function of a central (main) computing hub or workstation when connected to a multimedia device (display 120 + computing unit 410).

[0072] In order to organize the operation of the multimedia device in the backpack 100, the display 120 is electrically connected to the computing unit 410 located inside the backpack 100, connected or linked to the power supply 420. In turn, the computing unit 410 can be a single-chip Bluetooth controller with a built-in processor, performing the functions of a processor and a signal receiving unit in the wireless communication mode with the external device 450. In addition, the computing unit 410 can also be connected to the devices 250 and 440.
