Abstract
Description
[0001] DESCRIPTION
[0002] PROTECTIVE ELEMENT FOR URBAN AND COMMERCIAL AREAS
[0003] OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0004] The invention, as the title of this specification establishes, is a protective element for urban and commercial areas on train or subway tracks, protecting different establishments from smash-and-grab attacks or protecting pedestrian walkways from potential vehicle collisions.
[0005] TECHNICAL SECTOR
[0006] Therefore, this invention is limited to the field of manufacturing furniture for public roads and protective elements against falls, impacts or accidents.
[0007] STATE OF THE ART
[0008] In the constant quest to ensure citizen safety, it is crucial to address and find effective solutions to the dangers that lurk in urban environments.
[0009] One of these latent risks is the danger of falling on train tracks, a threat that can arise from dizziness, stumbling, or even malicious acts. The consequences can be devastating, with victims run over and families permanently affected.
[0010] Along with this problem, the "ram-raiding" technique used by criminals to rob establishments stands out, leading to the installation of unsightly pivots that affect the aesthetics of commercial areas and impair the visibility of shop windows. An innovative response to these difficulties is presented in a modular solution that addresses both security on railway tracks and in commercial environments. This solution combines active and passive security elements to provide comprehensive defense in urban areas.
[0011] Furthermore, this solution can also be adapted to prevent vehicle-based terrorist attacks in pedestrian areas.
[0012] This comprehensive, modular approach offers a tailored solution for various urban threats, combining security with functionality and aesthetics. By adopting advanced detection technologies and control systems, a safer and more reliable urban environment is created for everyone. Ultimately, the implementation of this solution not only protects citizens but also fosters trust in public and commercial spaces, thus promoting a more vibrant and safer urban environment for all.
[0013] In order to solve the detailed problems, the current invention is presented.
[0014] The existence of any product with the same technical characteristics as the invention presented here is unknown.
[0015] DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0016] The object of the present invention is the creation of a protective element for urban and commercial areas that provides a notable innovation within its field of application in the current state of the art, the characterizing details that make it possible being conveniently included in the final claims that accompany this description.
[0017] The protective element protects various spaces, whether establishments, pedestrian walkways, or railways, from falls or even vehicle impacts, preventing vehicles from entering different spaces.
[0018] To this end, the protective element for urban and commercial areas comprises at least one barrier that moves from a folded position in which it is hidden in the pavement, to a raised position in which it protrudes from the pavement.
[0019] When not in use, or to allow vehicle passage, the barrier can be folded away and hidden in the pavement.
[0020] In addition, the barrier has a series of telescopic elements inside that move from a folded position, in which they are inserted into the body of the barrier, to an unfolded position in which they are extended vertically above the barrier.
[0021] This configuration has several advantages. The first is that installing the barrier eliminates the need for a very deep excavation, as the total height of the assembly when folded is reduced. Furthermore, when deployed, the protective element is at a height suitable for fulfilling the described objectives of preventing people from falling onto the platform, preventing vehicles from accessing different establishments or roads, and so on.
[0022] This is especially important in locations where deep excavations cannot be carried out for various reasons.
[0023] Both the barrier and the telescopic elements will be moved by a drive controlled by a control module.
[0024] EXPLANATION OF THE FIGURES
[0025] To complete the description being made and in order to help better understand the characteristics of the invention, this specification is accompanied, as an integral part thereof, by some figures in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented.
[0026] Figure 1 corresponds to a perspective view of the protective element in its deployed position.
[0027] Figure 2 corresponds to a perspective view of the protective element in its folded position.
[0028] PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
[0029] The protective element for urban and commercial areas comprises a barrier (1) that has the ability to move from a folded position, hidden in the pavement, to a raised position where it emerges from the pavement.
[0030] This barrier (1) incorporates in its structure a series of telescopic elements (2), which can be deployed from a folded position, in which they are housed within the body of the barrier (1), to an unfolded position, where they extend vertically over the barrier (2).
[0031] The action of raising both the barrier (1) and the telescopic elements (2) is carried out by a driving means that responds to a control module.
[0032] This drive system can be implemented through a hydraulic circuit, allowing for smooth and efficient movement control. Alternatively, a motor with a pinion on its shaft can also be used, which meshes with racks located on both the barrier (1) and the telescopic elements (2), ensuring synchronized and safe movement.
[0033] Ease of use and accessibility are key elements of this innovative design. The system's built-in control module offers various operating options. A push button allows the barrier (1) and telescopic elements (2) to be raised with a simple touch, resulting in a practical and convenient solution.
[0034] There is also another option, in which the control module is equipped with cameras that capture images and analyze the data using artificial intelligence. This provides an additional level of security by enabling early detection of abnormal situations and automatic activation of the protective element.
[0035] Versatility and adaptability are intrinsic features of this protective element. Its application in urban and commercial environments results in an elegant and effective security solution. When it comes to maintaining the integrity of pedestrian zones, shopping areas, and establishments, this system presents a cutting-edge protection option.
[0036] Having sufficiently described the nature of the present invention, as well as the manner of putting it into practice, it is not considered necessary to explain it further so that any expert in the field may understand its scope and the advantages derived from it, stating that, within its essence, it may be put into practice in other embodiments that differ in detail from that indicated by way of example, and to which it will also achieve the protection sought provided that its fundamental principle is not altered, changed or modified.
