[0064] In FIGS. 1 to 4, a handle (10), which is an example of an auxiliary device for a home appliance, is illustrated. The handle (10) is used, for example, in a washing machine, which is a home appliance (1). A door (5) is provided on the front of the main body (3) of the home appliance (1). When the door (5) is opened, a laundry basket (not illustrated) is provided to accommodate laundry. A detergent compartment (7) may be provided on the front of the main body (1) of the home appliance (1). The detergent compartment (7) is installed mostly inside the main body (3), and a detergent compartment door (7') is provided on the front of the main body (3). The detergent compartment door (7') has a handle pocket (8) that a user can hold with his or her hand to remove and insert the detergent compartment (7). Hanging sections (9) are provided on both ends of the inside of the handle pocket (8). A detergent compartment body (not illustrated) is connected to the rear end of the detergent compartment door (7').

[0065] The above handle (10) can be operated by the user by holding it with his / her hand. However, for users with weak hand strength or who cannot use their hands, it can be used by hanging the arm.

[0066] The handle (10) includes a handle body (12) and a mounting hook (16). The handle body (12) and the mounting hook (16) are formed integrally. The handle body (12) may be composed of a body plate (13), a bottom plate (14), and a hanging plate (15). A hanging channel (12') is formed transversely in the handle body (12). That is, the hanging channel (12') is formed by the body plate (13), the bottom plate (14), and the hanging plate (15). A user's arm can be inserted into the hanging channel (12'). The hanging channel (12') is formed across the handle body (12) in one direction. In the present embodiment, when the body plate (13) is viewed from the front, the hanging channel (12') extends in the left and right directions.

[0067] The above main body plate (13) is formed in a plate shape and can be pressed against the front surface of the detergent compartment door (7') and close the handle pocket (8). In this embodiment, the main body plate (13) is in the shape of a rectangular plate. Accordingly, the back surface of the main body plate (13) can be pressed against the front surface of the detergent compartment door (7').

[0068] The above-mentioned floor plate (14) extends forward from the lower portion of the above-mentioned main body plate (13). The above-mentioned floor plate (14) may be in the shape of a rectangular plate. The above-mentioned floor plate (15) is in the shape of a narrow strip and extends long in the same direction as the extension direction of the above-mentioned hanging channel (12').

[0069] A body round portion (13') may be provided between the main body plate (13) and the bottom plate (14). The main body round portion (13') is a curved surface having a predetermined radius of curvature. The main body round portion (13') forms the inner surface of the hanging channel (12'). The purpose of providing the main body round portion (13') in this way is to prevent stress concentration at the portion where the main body plate (13) and the bottom plate (14) are connected. The virtual extension surfaces of the main body plate (13) and the bottom plate (14) may be orthogonal to each other.

[0070] The hook plate (15) extends from the tip of the floor plate (14). The virtual extension surfaces of the floor plate (14) and the hook plate (15) form an obtuse angle. Therefore, the distance between the hook plate (15) and the main body plate (13) gradually increases from the bottom to the top of the hook plate (15). That is, the hook plate (15) is formed to be inclined toward the upper front with respect to the main body plate (13). In other words, since the entrance of the hook channel (12') is relatively wide compared to the inside, it is easy for the user to insert his or her arm into the hook channel (12').

[0071] The width of the above-mentioned hanging plate (15) is relatively smaller than the width of the above-mentioned main body plate (13). This can be clearly seen in Fig. 2. In other words, both ends of the hanging plate (15) are positioned relatively inward compared to both ends of the above-mentioned main body plate (13). This is to ensure that interference between the user's arm and the hanging plate (15) is relatively small.

[0072] The above-mentioned hanging plate (15) has a reinforcing bead (15'). The reinforcing bead (15') may be formed on the inner surface of the hanging plate (15), as can be seen in Fig. 4. The reinforcing bead (15') serves to reinforce the rigidity of the hanging plate (15). The reinforcing bead (15') may be formed across almost the entire width of the hanging plate (15).

[0073] The above-mentioned mounting hook (16) serves to mount the handle (10) to the detergent compartment door (7'). The mounting hook (16) is provided on the back surface of the main body plate (13). The mounting hook (16) has a mounting plate (17). The mounting plate (17) extends in a band shape in the width direction of the main body plate (13). The mounting plate (17) can be inserted into the inside of the handle pocket (8) and hung on the hanging end (9). In addition, the mounting plate (17) can face or be in close contact with the back surface of the detergent compartment door (7').

[0074] The corners of both ends of the mounting plate (17) are rounded. This is to facilitate the mounting plate (17) entering the handle pocket (8). The mounting hook (16) including the mounting plate (17) can be joined to the detergent box (7) by press-fitting or snap-fitting.

[0075] The mounting plate (17) may have mounting protrusions (17') at both ends. The mounting protrusions (17') are formed to protrude at a predetermined distance from one surface of the connecting portion (18) to be described below. The mounting protrusions (17') are hooked onto the hook (9) to prevent the mounting plate (17) from being accidentally removed from the handle pocket (8).

[0076] In addition to the above-described mounting protrusion (17'), or without the mounting protrusion (17'), an elastic coating layer may be formed on the inner surface of the mounting plate (17) and / or the back surface of the main body plate (13). That is, for example, a rubber coating layer may be formed on the inner surface of the mounting channel (18') to be described below. When an elastic coating layer is present, the mounting plate (17) or the main body plate (13) can be more firmly pressed into the detergent compartment door (7').

[0077] The above mounting plate (17) is connected to the main body plate (13) by a connecting portion (18). The connecting portion (18) protrudes perpendicularly to the back surface of the main body plate (13) by a predetermined width. The connecting portion (18) also extends in a long, belt-like shape with a narrower width than the mounting plate (17).

[0078] The above main body plate (13), connecting portion (18), and mounting plate (17) cooperate to form a mounting channel (18'). A portion of the detergent compartment door (7') forming the entrance edge of the handle pocket (8) is inserted into the mounting channel (18'). The mounting channel (18') is opened in the same direction as the hanging channel (12'). The mounting channel (18') extends in the same direction as the hanging channel (12').

[0079] Next, FIGS. 8 to 13 illustrate a handle (20) of another embodiment of the present invention. The handle (20) of this embodiment can be used by being mounted on a door (5) of a washing machine, which is, for example, a home appliance (1), as illustrated in FIG. 5.

[0080] The above handle (20) can be operated by the user by holding it with his / her hand. However, for users with weak hand strength or who cannot use their hands, it can be used by hanging the arm.

[0081] The handle (20) includes a handle body (22) and a mounting hook (26). The handle body (22) and the mounting hook (26) may be formed as one piece. The handle body (22) may be composed of a body plate (23), a bottom plate (24), and a hanging plate (25). A hanging channel (22') is formed transversely in the handle body (22). That is, the hanging channel (22') is formed by the body plate (23), the bottom plate (24), and the hanging plate (25). A user's arm may be inserted into the hanging channel (22'). The hanging channel (22') is formed across the handle body (22) in one direction. In the present embodiment, the hanging channel (22') extends in the direction in which the handle body (22) extends.

[0082] The main body plate (23) is formed in a plate shape and is in close contact with the front surface of the door (5) and can close a portion of the handle pocket (5') (see Fig. 15). The main body plate (23) is in the shape of a rectangular plate in this embodiment, but is formed in the shape of a curved plate having a predetermined radius of curvature so that it can be in close contact with a corresponding portion of the door (5). Accordingly, the back surface of the main body plate (23) can be in close contact with one side of the front surface of the door (5).

[0083] The above-described bottom plate (24) extends forward from one side of the main body plate (23). The bottom plate (24) may have an overall rectangular plate shape. The bottom plate (24) may also have a curved plate shape with a predetermined radius of curvature. In the illustrated embodiment, the bottom plate (24) has a curved plate shape with a predetermined radius of curvature.

[0084] A body round portion (23') may be provided between the main body plate (23) and the bottom plate (24). The main body round portion (23') is a curved surface having a predetermined radius of curvature. The main body round portion (23') forms the inner surface of the hanging channel (22'). The purpose of providing the main body round portion (23') in this way is to prevent stress concentration at the portion where the main body plate (23) and the bottom plate (24) are connected. The virtual extension surfaces of the main body plate (23) and the bottom plate (24) may be orthogonal to each other.

[0085] The hook plate (25) extends from the tip of the bottom plate (24). The virtual extension surfaces of the bottom plate (24) and the hook plate (25) may be perpendicular or form a predetermined obtuse angle. If the virtual extension surfaces of the bottom plate (24) and the hook plate (25) form an obtuse angle, the distance between the hook plate (25) and the main body plate (23) may gradually increase from the bottom to the top of the hook plate (25). That is, the hook plate (25) may be formed to be inclined toward the upper front with respect to the main body plate (23). In other words, since the entrance of the hook channel (22') is relatively wider than the inside, it may be easy for the user to insert his or her arm into the hook channel (22').

[0086] According to the drawing of the present embodiment, the hanging plate (25) extends parallel to the main body plate (23). That is, the gap between the hanging plate (25) and the main body plate (23) is formed to be uniform overall. The hanging plate (25) has a reinforcing bead (25'). The reinforcing bead (25') may be formed on the inner surface of the hanging plate (25), as can be seen in Fig. 12. The reinforcing bead (25') serves to reinforce the rigidity of the hanging plate (25). The reinforcing bead (25') may be formed over almost the entire width of the hanging plate (15).

[0087] The above-mentioned mounting hook (26) serves to mount the handle (20) to the door (5). The mounting hook (26) is connected to the main body plate (23). The mounting hook (26) has a mounting plate (27). The mounting plate (27) extends in a band shape in the width direction of the main body plate (23). The mounting plate (27) can be inserted into the inside of the handle pocket (5') and be in close contact with the inner surface of a portion constituting the outer surface of the door (5). The mounting plate (27) is formed to protrude further than both ends of the main body plate (23). This is to ensure that when the mounting plate (27) is mounted on the door (5), the area in which it is in close contact with the door (5) can be secured to the greatest extent possible.

[0088] The mounting hook (26) including the above mounting plate (27) can be joined to the door (5) by press-fitting or snap-fitting.

[0089] The inner surface of the above-mentioned mounting plate (27) may have a protrusion (27'). The protrusion (27') may be combined with a protrusion (not shown) formed on a corresponding portion of the door (5). The protrusion (27') may be formed to extend in the direction in which the above-mentioned mounting plate (27) is inserted into the handle pocket (5') of the door (5).

[0090] In addition, an elastic material coating layer may be formed on the back surface of the main body plate (23) or the inner surface of the mounting plate (27). That is, for example, a rubber material coating layer may be formed on the inner surface of the mounting channel (28') to be described below. When an elastic material coating layer is present, the mounting plate (27) or the main body plate (23) can be more firmly pressed into the door (5).

[0091] The above mounting plate (27) is connected to the main body plate (23) by a connecting portion (28). The connecting portion (28) protrudes perpendicularly to the back surface of the main body plate (23) by a predetermined width. The connecting portion (28) also extends in a long, belt-like shape with a narrower width than the mounting plate (27).

[0092] The above body plate (23), connecting portion (28), and mounting plate (27) cooperate to form a mounting channel (28'). A portion of the door (5) forming the entrance edge of the door pocket (5') is inserted into the mounting channel (28'). The mounting channel (28') is opened in a direction opposite to the direction in which the hanging channel (22') is opened. The mounting channel (28') extends parallel to the hanging channel (22') in the same direction.

[0093] Meanwhile, as a modification of the present embodiment, a bead (not indicated by a drawing symbol) may be formed at the location indicated by the dotted line (A) in Fig. 8, i.e., at both ends of the bottom plate (24). The bead may serve as a reinforcing member, like the bead (25') formed on the hanging plate (25).

[0094] The configuration of a handle (30) for a dial (9), which is another embodiment of the present invention, is illustrated in FIGS. 17 to 19. The handle (30) of this embodiment includes a handle body (32) and a mounting ring (36).

[0095] The handle body (32) includes a grip portion (33) that a user can hold with his / her hand and a connecting portion (34) that connects the mounting ring (36) and the grip portion (33). The grip portion (33) can also serve to check the degree of rotation of the dial (9). The pie portion (33) can have various shapes. In the illustrated embodiment, it has a spherical shape. However, the grip portion (33) may have any shape as long as it is easy for a user to hold with his / her hand and allows the user to accurately point out the location. For example, the grip portion (33) may be formed in a circular or cylindrical shape. The grip portion (33) may be positioned so as to protrude forward from the mounting ring (36). This is to enable a user to easily hold the grip portion (33).

[0096] The above-mentioned mounting ring (36) has a ring-shaped ring body (37) having a predetermined diameter. A mounting hole (37') is formed through the center of the ring body (37). The dial (9) is positioned in the mounting hole (37'). Therefore, the outer diameter of the dial (9) and the inner diameter of the mounting hole (37') are the same or the inner diameter of the mounting hole (37') is slightly smaller so that the mounting ring (36) can be press-fitted into the dial (9).

[0097] There may be a hook (38) surrounding the inner front portion of the ring body (37). The hook (38) may be formed in the entire inlet area of the mounting hole (37'). The hook (38) may regulate the position at which the handle (30) is fitted into the dial (9). That is, the hook (38) prevents the handle (30) from moving further in the insertion direction while fitted into the dial (9). The hook (38) may be formed along the inner front end of the ring body (37), as can be seen in FIG. 19.

[0098] A coating layer (not indicated by a drawing symbol) made of a rubber-like material may be formed on the inner surface of the ring body (37). The coating layer is intended to prevent the ring body (37) from being accidentally detached from the dial (9). Due to the presence of the coating layer, a force greater than a certain amount is required for the ring body (37) to be detached from the dial (9).

[0099] The color of the handles (10, 20, 30) of the illustrated embodiments can be made to stand out compared to the colors of the door (5), detergent drawer (7), and dial (9). That is, the handles (10, 20, 30) can be made to have high-contrast colors for people with low vision.

[0100] Next, the embodiments illustrated in FIGS. 23 and 24 are described. This embodiment is a remote control cover (40), which is a part through which a user can hold the remote control (50) with his or her hand.

[0101] The above remote control cover (40) is made of a flexible material. The above remote control comer (40) can be made of a silicone material. The frame of the above remote control cover (40) is formed by a cover body (41). The cover body (41) has a cover inner space (41') formed therein so as to surround the outer surface of the remote control (50) in which the remote control (40) is stored. The cover inner space (41') is formed inside the cover body (41). The shape of the cover inner space (41') corresponds to the shape of the remote control (50). That is, the remote control (50) can be seated in the cover inner space (41'). At this time, the surface of the remote control (50) can be in close contact with the inner surface of the cover inner space (41').

[0102] There is an entrance (42) on the back of the cover body (41). The entrance (42) is a portion through which the remote control (50) can be carried into the cover internal space (41'). The area and shape of the entrance (42) are set so that the remote control (50) can be carried into the cover internal space (41') as the cover body (41) expands. That is, the size of the entrance (42) is slightly smaller than the size of the remote control (50).

[0103] There is a hanging member (43) surrounding the edge of the above entrance (42). The hanging member (43) can be attached to the back surface of the above remote control (50). By attaching the hanging member (43) to the back surface of the above remote control (50), the above remote control (50) is prevented from being accidentally removed from the cover inner space (41').

[0104] The front of the cover body (41) has a display portion (45). The display portion (45) protrudes from the front of the cover body (41). The display portion (45) has a display projection (47). The display projection (57) has a shape similar to various displays formed on the buttons of the remote control (50). That is, each of the plurality of display portions (45) has a display projection (47), and the display projection (47) is located at a position corresponding to what is displayed on the buttons of the remote control (50). What is displayed by the display projection (47) may include various things such as a power button display, an increase display, a movement direction display, a number display, a function display, etc. The display projection (47) may be Braille.

[0105] The cover body (41) corresponds to the shape of the remote control (50), and in the illustrated embodiment, it extends vertically and has a relatively short left-right width compared to the vertical extension length. There is a connecting ring (48) at the top of the cover body (41). A connecting string or another ring can be connected to the connecting ring (48). A communication slot (49) can be formed at the bottom of the cover body (41). The communication slot (49) is, for example, a portion through which a charging terminal passes.

[0106] Hereinafter, the use of an auxiliary device for a home appliance according to the present invention having the configuration described above will be described in detail.

[0107] First, the handle (10) illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 4 can be used by being mounted on a detergent container (7). The bottom plate (14) of the handle (10) is oriented in the direction opposite to gravity, and the mounting plate (17) is inserted into the handle pocket (8) of the detergent container (7). In this way, the main body plate (13) is mounted on the detergent container door (7') of the detergent container (7) so as to block the handle pocket (8).

[0108] At this time, a portion of the detergent compartment door (7') forming the edge of the handle pocket (8) is inserted into the mounting channel (18'). Then, the mounting projections (17') at both ends of the mounting plate (17) are hooked onto the hooks (9) inside the handle pocket (8) as seen in Fig. 6. Of course, the handle (10) is prevented from moving arbitrarily with respect to the detergent compartment (7) by the portion of the detergent compartment door (7') being pressed into the mounting channel (18').

[0109] In this way, as can be seen in Fig. 5, the hanging channel (12') of the handle (10) is opened in the direction opposite to gravity, and also opens in the left and right directions when the handle (10) is viewed from the front.

[0110] Accordingly, the user can place his / her arm on the hanging channel (12'). Fig. 7 illustrates a state where the user places his / her arm on the hanging channel (12') of the handle (10). Of course, a general user or a user capable of applying force by hand can hold the hanging plate (15) of the handle (10) with his / her hand and operate the detergent container (7).

[0111] The user can manipulate the handle (10) by pushing or pulling the arm in the state of Fig. 7. At this time, the hook plate (15) can be pulled or the main body plate (13) can be pushed by the force applied by the user's arm. In this process, the main body round part (13') and the bottom round part (14') prevent the force applied from being concentrated on a specific area.

[0112] A relatively large load can be applied to the above-mentioned hanging plate (15) compared to other parts. This can be sufficiently withstood by the bead (15') formed on the hanging plate (15) and the beads that can be formed at both ends of the bottom plate (14).

[0113] Next, the use of the handle (20) of the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 8 to FIG. 13 will be described. As illustrated in FIG. 5 or FIG. 14, the handle (20) is inserted into the handle pocket (5') of the door (5) with the mounting plate (27) inserted therein, and a corresponding portion of the door (5) is press-fitted into the mounting channel (28'). At this time, the handle (20) can be firmly mounted to the door (5) by a rubber coating layer formed on the inner surface of the mounting channel (28') or the mounting plate (27). In addition, the protrusions (27') formed on the inner surface of the mounting plate (27) allow the mounting plate (27) to be more firmly fixed to the door (5).

[0114] As can be seen in Fig. 5, the handle (20) is designed so that the hanging channel (22') does not face completely in the direction opposite to gravity, but rather faces upward at an angle. However, the mounting position and direction of the handle (20) may vary depending on the position of the door pocket (5') in the door (5). Alternatively, it may also be related to the position of the hinge (not shown) of the door (5).

[0115] The handle (20) is used by the user by inserting his or her arm into the hanging channel (22'), as shown in Fig. 16. Depending on the direction in which the user moves his or her arm, force is applied to the handle (20), causing the door (5) to open or close.

[0116] In the above handle (20), a lot of force is mainly applied to the hanging plate (25), and the bead (25') is formed to withstand this force, and additional beads can be placed on both ends of the bottom plate (24). In addition, the main body round part (23') and the bottom round part (24') are provided to prevent the force applied to the hanging plate (25) and the like from being concentrated in one place, so that the applied force is distributed and applied.

[0117] In the above handle (20), the shape of the mounting plate (27) corresponds to the shape of the inner surface of the door pocket (5'), so that the handle (20) can be firmly mounted. The inner surface of the mounting plate (27) is also provided with protrusions (27') to conform to the protrusions formed on the inner surface of the door pocket (5'), so that the handle (20) can be more firmly mounted on the door (5).

[0118] Next, the handle (30) illustrated in FIGS. 17 to 19 is mounted on the dial (9) and used. That is, by mounting the handle (30) on the dial (9) formed in a disc shape, the grip portion (33) can be held by hand and the dial (9) can be operated more easily.

[0119] Fig. 20 illustrates a state in which the handle (30) is mounted on the dial (9). That is, the mounting ring (36) is mounted around the outer surface of the dial (9), and the degree to which the mounting ring (36) is inserted into the dial (9) is regulated by the hanging protrusion (38).

[0120] The user can rotate the dial (9) by holding the grip portion (33) of the handle body (32) protruding from the above-mentioned mounting ring (36) with his / her hand. Even if the user cannot hold the grip portion (33) with his / her hand, he / she can operate the dial (9) by pushing the grip portion (33) using his / her arm. For this purpose, the grip portion (33) protrudes relatively forward compared to the mounting ring (36). That is, the grip portion (33) protrudes forward from the front of the dial (9), so that the dial (9) can be operated even if the user does not necessarily hold the grip portion (33) with his / her hand.

[0121] At this time, the grip part (33) may also be a means for indicating the degree to which the dial (9) has been rotated. Depending on the position of the grip part (33), the user can easily check the degree to which the dial (9) has been rotated.

[0122] Meanwhile, the remote control cover (40) illustrated in FIG. 23 surrounds the remote control (50), and the user can hold and operate the remote control cover (40) surrounding the remote control (50) with their hand. At this time, since the remote control cover (40) is made of a flexible material such as silicone, even if a person with weak hand strength drops the remote control (50), the remote control cover (40) can act as a buffer. In addition, since the remote control cover (40) is made of a material such as silicone, it can provide a certain degree of friction. Therefore, even a person with weak hand strength can hold and operate the remote control (50) well.

[0123] The remote control (50) with the above remote control cover (40) attached can be checked by the user with the naked eye or by the user touching the display portion (45) using a finger. In particular, if the above display portion (47) is made in Braille, a person who can check Braille can use the remote control (50) more easily.
