Technical Field
[0002] The present application relates to the field of display technology, and in particular to a display screen, a display module, and an electronic device. Background Art
[0003] Currently, users are paying more and more attention to the display effects of electronic devices, and screen contrast is an important indicator for evaluating display effects.
[0004] Existing technology improves screen contrast by resetting the anodes of the photodiodes in the display pixel circuit multiple times within a single frame scan. However, due to the presence of front and back porch regions when the screen is driven, during multiple resets of the anodes of the photodiodes in the display pixel circuit, some of the resets may occur in the front and back porch regions and not actually drive the screen. Consequently, this reset method can cause uneven screen brightness.
[0005] Summary of the Invention
[0006] The present application provides a display screen, a display module and an electronic device, which can effectively avoid the problem of uneven brightness display when the display screen resets the photodiode multiple times within each frame scanning time, thereby improving the display effect of the display screen, the display module and the electronic device.
[0007] In a first aspect, an embodiment of the present application provides a display screen, which includes a display pixel circuit and a controller. The display pixel circuit is arranged in an array in the display area of the display screen, the display pixel circuit includes a photodiode, and the display pixel circuit includes a first display pixel circuit and a second display pixel circuit. During each frame scan time of the display screen, the controller is used to control the input voltage parameter value of the first display pixel circuit to be a first voltage when any current scan line among multiple current scan lines is located in the non-display area, the reset current value of the photodiode in the first display pixel circuit to be a first current value, the first display pixel circuit is the display pixel circuit corresponding to the current scan line located in the display area, and when multiple current scan lines are all located in the display area, the input voltage parameter value of the second display pixel circuit is controlled to be a second voltage, the reset current value of the photodiode in the second display pixel circuit to be a second current value, the deviation between the second current value and the first current value is less than a preset threshold value, and the second display pixel circuit is the display pixel circuit corresponding to multiple current scan lines.
[0008] In this embodiment, since the number of photodiodes that need to be reset when any current scanning row among multiple current scanning rows is located in the non-display area is different from the number of photodiodes that need to be reset when multiple current scanning rows are all located in the display area, the input voltage parameter value of the first display pixel circuit and the input voltage parameter value of the second display pixel circuit can be controlled differently so that the deviation between the first current value and the second current value is less than a preset threshold value, thereby effectively avoiding the problem of uneven brightness display when the display screen resets the photodiode multiple times within each frame scanning time, thereby improving the display effect of the display screen.
[0009] In combination with the first aspect, in a first possible implementation, the display pixel circuit further includes a reset switch tube and an initial voltage input terminal, and the initial voltage input terminal is connected to the anode of the photodiode through the reset switch tube; the input voltage parameter value of the display pixel circuit is the anode voltage value of the photodiode.
[0010] In this embodiment, the display screen controls the reset current value of the photodiode by controlling the anode voltage value of the photodiode, so that the deviation between the first current value and the second current value is less than the preset threshold value, thereby effectively avoiding the problem of uneven brightness display when the display screen resets the photodiode multiple times within each frame scanning time, thereby improving the display effect of the display screen.
[0011] In combination with the first possible implementation of the first aspect, in a second possible implementation, the controller is used to control the voltage value of the initial voltage input terminal of the first display pixel circuit to be the first voltage when any current scanning row in the current scanning row is located in the non-display area, and control the reset switch tube of the first display pixel circuit to be turned on; when multiple current scanning rows are all located in the display area, control the voltage value of the initial voltage input terminal of the second display pixel circuit to be the second voltage, and control the reset switch tube of the second display pixel circuit to be turned on.
[0012] In combination with the first aspect, in a third possible implementation, the display pixel circuit further includes a reset switch tube and an initial voltage input terminal, and the initial voltage input terminal is connected to the cathode of the photodiode through the reset switch tube; the input voltage parameter value of the display pixel circuit is the cathode voltage value of the photodiode.
[0013] In this embodiment, the display screen controls the magnitude of the photodiode's reset current by controlling the cathode voltage of the photodiode, thereby ensuring that the deviation between the first current value and the second current value is less than a preset threshold. This effectively avoids the problem of uneven brightness display caused by the display screen resetting the photodiode multiple times within each frame scan time, thereby improving the display quality. Furthermore, the display screen has a variety of ways to control the reset current value of the photodiode, providing high flexibility.
[0014] In combination with the third possible implementation of the first aspect, in a fourth possible implementation, the controller is used to, when any current scanning row in the current scanning row is located in the non-display area, control the voltage value of the initial voltage input terminal of the first display pixel circuit to be the first voltage, and control the reset switch tube of the first display pixel circuit to be turned on; when multiple current scanning rows are all located in the display area, control the voltage value of the initial voltage input terminal of the second display pixel circuit to be the second voltage, and control the reset switch tube of the second display pixel circuit to be turned on.
[0015] In combination with the first aspect, in a fifth possible implementation, the display pixel circuit further includes a driving switch tube, a storage capacitor, a data transmission switch tube, a data input end and a power supply end, the first end of the driving switch tube is connected to the power supply end, the second end of the driving switch tube is connected to the anode of the photodiode, the control end of the driving switch tube is connected to the data input end through the data transmission switch tube, and the storage capacitor is connected between the first end and the control end of the driving switch tube; the input voltage parameter value of the display pixel circuit is the voltage value of the storage capacitor.
[0016] In this embodiment, the display screen controls the reset current value of the photodiode by controlling the voltage value of the storage capacitor, thereby ensuring that the deviation between the first current value and the second current value is less than a preset threshold. This effectively avoids the problem of uneven brightness display caused by the display screen resetting the photodiode multiple times within each frame scan time, thereby improving the display quality. In addition, the display screen has a variety of ways to control the reset current value of the photodiode, providing high flexibility.
[0017] In combination with the fifth possible implementation of the first aspect, in a sixth possible implementation, the controller is used to control the conduction duration of the data transmission switch tube in the first display pixel circuit to be a first duration when any current scanning line in the current scanning line is located in the non-display area, and the voltage value of the storage capacitor in the first display pixel circuit to be a first voltage; when multiple current scanning lines are all located in the display area, the controller controls the conduction duration of the data transmission switch tube in the second display pixel circuit to be a second duration, the voltage value of the storage capacitor in the second display pixel circuit to be a second voltage, and the voltage value of the storage capacitor is the first voltage or the second voltage to drive the switch tube to be in the on state.
[0018] In combination with the first aspect, in a seventh possible implementation, the display pixel circuit further includes a data transmission switch tube, a driving switch tube, a data input terminal and a power supply terminal, wherein the first terminal of the driving switch tube is connected to the power supply terminal, the second terminal of the driving switch tube is connected to the anode of the photodiode, and the control terminal of the driving switch tube is connected to the data input terminal through the data transmission switch tube; the input voltage parameter value of the display pixel circuit is the control terminal voltage value of the driving switch tube.
[0019] In this embodiment, the display screen controls the reset current of the photodiode by controlling the voltage at the control terminal of the driving switch tube, thereby ensuring that the deviation between the first current value and the second current value is less than a preset threshold. This effectively avoids the problem of uneven brightness display caused by the display screen resetting the photodiode multiple times within each frame scan time, thereby improving the display quality. In addition, the display screen has a variety of ways to control the reset current of the photodiode, providing high flexibility.
[0020] In combination with the seventh possible implementation of the first aspect, in an eighth possible implementation, the controller is used to, when any current scanning row in the current scanning row is located in the non-display area, control the voltage value of the data input terminal of the first display pixel circuit to be a first voltage, and control the data transmission switch tube of the first display pixel circuit to be turned on; when multiple current scanning rows are all located in the display area, control the voltage value of the data input terminal of the second display pixel circuit to be a second voltage, and control the data transmission switch tube of the second display pixel circuit to be turned on, wherein the first voltage and the second voltage are both greater than the turn-on voltage threshold of the driving switch tube.
[0021] In combination with the first aspect, in a ninth possible implementation, the display pixel circuit further includes a data transmission switch tube, a driving switch tube, a data input terminal and a power supply terminal, wherein the first terminal of the driving switch tube is connected to the power supply terminal, the second terminal of the driving switch tube is connected to the anode of the photodiode, and the control terminal of the driving switch tube is connected to the data input terminal through the data transmission switch tube; and the input voltage parameter value of the display pixel circuit is the control terminal voltage value of the data transmission switch tube.
[0022] In this embodiment, the display screen controls the reset current of the photodiode by controlling the voltage at the control terminal of the data transmission switch tube, thereby ensuring that the deviation between the first current value and the second current value is less than a preset threshold. This effectively avoids the problem of uneven brightness display caused by the display screen resetting the photodiode multiple times within each frame scan time, thereby improving the display quality. Furthermore, the display screen has a variety of ways to control the reset current of the photodiode, providing high flexibility.
[0023] In combination with the ninth possible implementation of the first aspect, in a tenth possible implementation, both the first voltage and the second voltage are less than a turn-on voltage threshold of the data transmission switch tube.
[0024] In this embodiment, the display adjusts the reset current of the photodiode by adjusting the voltage at the control terminal of the data transmission switch when the data transmission switch is in the off state. This adjusts the current flowing from the channel of the data transmission switch, thereby adjusting the reset current of the photodiode. Furthermore, because the deviation between the second current value and the first current value is less than a preset threshold, the display avoids uneven brightness caused by multiple photodiode resets within each frame scan time.
[0025] In combination with the ninth possible implementation of the first aspect, in an eleventh possible implementation, both the first voltage and the second voltage are greater than a turn-on voltage threshold of the data transmission switch tube.
[0026] In this embodiment, the display adjusts the reset current of the photodiode by adjusting the voltage at the control terminal of the data transmission switch when the data transmission switch is in the on state, thereby adjusting the voltage at the control terminal of the driver switch. Furthermore, because the deviation between the second current value and the first current value is less than a preset threshold, uneven brightness caused by multiple photodiode resets within each frame scan time can be avoided.
[0027] In combination with the first aspect to the eleventh possible implementation manner of the first aspect, in a twelfth possible implementation manner, the display pixel circuit further includes a third display pixel circuit and a fourth display pixel circuit. During each frame scan time when the frame rate of the display screen is the first frame rate, the controller is used to, when any current scan line among the multiple current scan lines is located in the non-display area, control the input voltage parameter value of the first display pixel circuit to be the first voltage, and when the multiple current scan lines are all located in the display area, control the input voltage parameter value of the second display pixel circuit to be the second voltage. During each frame scan time after the frame rate of the display screen switches from the first frame rate to the second frame rate, the controller is further used to, when any current scan line among the multiple current scan lines is located in the non-display area, control the input voltage parameter value of the third display pixel circuit to be the first voltage, the reset current value of the photodiode in the third display pixel circuit to be the first current value, and the third display pixel circuit is the display pixel circuit corresponding to the current scan line located in the display area; when the multiple current scan lines are all located in the display area, control the input voltage parameter value of the fourth display pixel circuit to be the second voltage, the reset current value of the photodiode in the fourth display pixel circuit to be the second current value, and the fourth display pixel circuit is the display pixel circuit corresponding to the multiple current scan lines.
[0028] In this embodiment, before and after the frame rate of the display screen is switched, the difference between the first current value and the second current value is always smaller than the preset threshold value. Therefore, regardless of whether the frame rate of the display screen is switched, the problem of uneven brightness display caused by the display screen resetting the photodiode multiple times within each frame scanning time can be avoided.
[0029] In combination with the twelfth possible implementation of the first aspect, in the thirteenth possible implementation, the first frame rate and the second frame rate are any two preset frame rates among K preset frame rates, where K≥F*x-x+1, the i-th preset frame rate among the K preset frame rates is F*x / (x+i-1), i is a positive integer, F is the maximum frame rate of the display screen, and x is the number of multiple current scanning lines.
[0030] In this embodiment, the preset frame rate values included in a set of Gamma of the display screen are more diverse than the preset frame rate values included in a set of Gamma in the prior art, so that the display screen can complete frame rate switching within the same set of Gamma, thereby avoiding the problem of screen brightness and color flickering when the display screen switches frame rates between different sets of Gamma, thereby improving the display effect of the display screen.
[0031] In a second aspect, embodiments of the present application provide a display module comprising a protective layer, an anti-fingerprint layer, and a display screen provided by any one of the first to thirteenth possible implementations of the first aspect. The protective layer is located on a first surface of the display screen, and the anti-fingerprint layer is located on a surface of the protective layer away from the display screen.
[0032] In this embodiment, since the number of photodiodes that need to be reset when any current scanning row among multiple current scanning rows is located in the non-display area is different from the number of photodiodes that need to be reset when multiple current scanning rows are all located in the display area, the input voltage parameter value of the first display pixel circuit and the input voltage parameter value of the second display pixel circuit can be controlled differently so that the deviation between the first current value and the second current value is less than the preset threshold value, thereby effectively avoiding the problem of uneven brightness display when the display screen resets the photodiode multiple times within each frame scanning time, thereby improving the display effect of the display module.
[0033] In a third aspect, an embodiment of the present application provides an electronic device, which includes a housing and a display module provided in the third aspect connected to the housing.
[0034] In an embodiment of the present application, since the number of photodiodes that need to be reset when any current scanning row among multiple current scanning rows is located in the non-display area is different from the number of photodiodes that need to be reset when multiple current scanning rows are all located in the display area, the input voltage parameter value of the first display pixel circuit and the input voltage parameter value of the second display pixel circuit can be controlled differently, so that the deviation between the first current value and the second current value is less than a preset threshold value, thereby effectively avoiding the problem of uneven brightness display when the display screen resets the photodiode multiple times within each frame scanning time, thereby improving the screen display effect of the electronic device. [0041] The display screen, display module, and electronic device provided in this application are suitable for electronic devices with display screens, such as smartphones, tablet computers, desktop computers, televisions, printers, and wearable devices, and can be used in the electronic equipment, automotive, and aerospace fields. The following uses a smartphone as an example to illustrate the application scenarios of electronic devices.
[0042] Refer to Figure 1, which is a schematic diagram of an application scenario of an electronic device provided in an embodiment of the present application. The electronic device provided in the present application is suitable for the smartphone shown in Figure 1 (a), which includes a display module 1 and a housing 2 connected to the display module 1. As shown in Figure 1 (b), the display module 1 includes a display screen 11, a protective layer 12 and an anti-fingerprint layer 13. Among them, the protective layer 12 is located on the upper surface of the display screen 11 and is used to protect the display screen 11. The anti-fingerprint layer 13 is located on the surface of the protective layer 12 away from the display screen 11, and is used to improve the contact angle of the display module to prevent fingerprints from remaining on the surface of the display module. The display screen 11 includes a display pixel circuit, the number of which is n*m, and the n*m display pixel circuits are arranged in the display area of the display screen 11 in the form of n rows and m columns, and each display pixel circuit includes a photodiode.
[0043] When the smartphone is operating normally, the controller in the display screen 11 controls the multiple scan lines to scan the display screen 1 in a top-down order. During each frame scan time of the display screen 11, when any current scan line among the multiple current scan lines is located in the non-display area, the controller controls the input voltage parameter value of the first display pixel circuit to be a first voltage. The first display pixel circuit is the display pixel circuit corresponding to the current scan line among the n*m display pixel circuits located in the display area. The controller also controls the input voltage parameter value of the second display pixel circuit to be a second voltage. The second display pixel circuit is the display pixel circuit corresponding to the multiple current scan lines among the n*m display pixel circuits. This ensures that the deviation between the reset current value of the photodiode in the first display pixel circuit and the reset current value of the photodiode in the second display pixel circuit is less than a preset threshold value during each frame scan time of the display screen 1. Afterwards, after resetting the photodiode in the display pixel circuit of the current scanning row in the display area, the controller 21 controls the display pixel circuit of the current scanning row in the display area to write the data voltage, and controls the brightness of the photodiode in the display pixel current of the current scanning row in the display area based on the data voltage, thereby realizing the driving of the display screen 11.
[0044] It can be understood that since the number of photodiodes that need to be reset when any current scanning row among multiple current scanning rows is located in the non-display area is different from the number of photodiodes that need to be reset when multiple current scanning rows are all located in the display area, the input voltage parameter value of the first display pixel circuit and the input voltage parameter value of the second display pixel circuit can be controlled differently, so that the deviation between the reset current value of the photodiode in the first display pixel circuit and the reset current value of the photodiode in the second display pixel circuit is less than the preset threshold value, thereby effectively avoiding the problem of uneven brightness display when the display screen 11 resets the photodiode multiple times within each frame scanning time, thereby improving the display effect of the display screen 11, the display module 1 and the smart phone.
[0045] The above is only an example of the application scenarios of the electronic device provided in this application, and is not an exhaustive list. This application does not limit the application scenarios.
[0046] For ease of understanding, the following will first use Figure 2 to take the example of resetting the anode of the photodiode three times within one frame scanning time to explain the cause of uneven brightness display of the display screen, and then use Figures 3 to 5 to illustrate the structure and working principle of the display screen provided in this application.
[0047] Referring to Figure 2, Figure 2 is a schematic diagram of a conventional technique for resetting the anode of a photodiode three times within a single frame scan time. As shown in Figure 2, the driving area of the display screen includes the display area and the front and back porch areas. For example, if the display area has 2520 rows and the front and back porch areas have 60 rows, the display screen can be considered to be driven based on 2580 rows. Assuming the photodiode is reset three times with equal time intervals between the three resets, the time interval between the three resets is 2580 / 3 = 860 rows of scanning time. At the start of scanning the display screen, as shown in Figure 2 (a), the first of the three scan lines of the display screen begins scanning downward simultaneously from the first row in the display area, the second scan line begins scanning downward from a position 860 rows below the first scan line in the display area, and the third scan line begins scanning downward from a position 860 rows below the second scan line in the display area. After a scanning time corresponding to 800 rows, as shown in Figure 2 (b), the third scan line enters the front and back porch areas from the display area and remains within the front and back porch areas for the next 60 rows of scanning time. Obviously, after the third scan line enters the front and rear porch areas, the number of rows of display pixel circuits that need to be reset decreases from three to two. Because the reset voltage values of the photodiodes are the same before and after the third scan line enters the front and rear porch areas, but the number of photodiodes that need to be reset is different, the uneven brightness of the display screen shown in Figure 2 (b) will occur. It should be noted that Figure 2 illustrates the uneven brightness of the display screen when the number of rows of display pixel circuits that need to be reset changes from small to large. In reality, the display screen will still experience uneven brightness when the number of rows of display pixel circuits that need to be reset changes from large to small.
[0048] Based on this, the present application provides a display screen, which controls the input voltage parameter value of the display pixel circuit corresponding to the current scanning line located in the display area when any current scanning line among multiple current scanning lines is located in the front or rear porch area, which is different from the input voltage parameter value of the display pixel circuit corresponding to the current scanning line when multiple current scanning lines are all located in the display area. This can avoid the problem of uneven brightness display when the display screen resets the photodiode multiple times within each frame scanning time.
[0049] Referring to FIG3 , FIG3 is a schematic diagram of the structure of a display screen provided in an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG3 , the display screen 11 includes a controller 21 and a display pixel circuit. The number of display pixel circuits is n*m, and the n*m display pixel circuits correspond to the display pixel circuits 111, ..., display pixel circuit 11m; ...; display pixel circuit 1j1, ..., display pixel circuit 1jm; ...; display pixel circuit 1n1, ..., display pixel circuit 1nm shown in FIG3 . The n*m display pixel circuits are arranged in an array within the display area of the display screen 11. Exemplarily, the n*m display pixel circuits are arranged in the display area of the display screen 11 in the form of n rows and m columns. Each display pixel circuit includes a photodiode.
[0050] In one embodiment, after the display screen 11 begins operation, the controller 21 controls multiple scan lines to begin scanning the display screen 11 in a top-to-bottom order. During each frame scan time of the display screen 11, when any of the multiple current scan lines is in the non-display area, that is, during the time period T2 shown in FIG3 , the controller 21 controls the input voltage parameter value Vin of the first display pixel circuit to a first voltage V1, so that the reset current value of the photodiode of the first display pixel circuit is a first current value. The driving area of the display screen 11 during driving includes the display area and the non-display area. The non-display area may be the front and back porch areas. The front and back porch areas do not contain display pixel circuits and do not display the screen. The first display pixel circuit is the display pixel circuit corresponding to the current scan line in the display area among the aforementioned n*m display pixel circuits. Furthermore, when all of the multiple current scan lines are in the display area, that is, during the time period T1 shown in FIG3 , the controller 21 controls the input voltage parameter value Vin of the second display pixel circuit to a second voltage V2, so that the reset current value of the photodiode of the second display pixel circuit is a second current value. Among them, the second display pixel circuit is a display pixel circuit corresponding to multiple current scanning rows in the above-mentioned n*m display pixel circuits, and the deviation between the second current value and the first current value is less than a preset threshold value. In addition, the display screen 11 provided in the present application is to achieve multiple resets of the photodiode within each frame scanning time by controlling the number of times the photodiode is reset within each frame scanning time and the frame rate of the display screen 11 by two separate circuits. The number of multiple current scanning rows within each frame scanning time corresponds to the number of resets of the anode of the photodiode in the display pixel circuit within each frame scanning time. For example, when the number of multiple current scanning rows is 3, it means that the controller 21 resets the anode of the photodiode 3 times within each frame scanning time.
[0051] It should be noted that as the display pixel circuit structure changes, the magnitude relationship between the first voltage and the second voltage will also change, such as when the second voltage is greater than the first voltage. Based on this, this application only restricts the deviation between the first current value and the second current value to be less than a preset threshold, and does not restrict the magnitude relationship between the first voltage and the second voltage.
[0052] In an embodiment of the present application, since the number of photodiodes that need to be reset when any current scanning row among multiple current scanning rows is located in the non-display area is different from the number of photodiodes that need to be reset when multiple current scanning rows are all located in the display area, the input voltage parameter value of the first display pixel circuit and the input voltage parameter value of the second display pixel circuit can be controlled differently, so that the deviation between the reset current value of the photodiode in the first display pixel circuit and the reset current value of the photodiode in the second display pixel circuit is less than a preset threshold value, thereby effectively avoiding the problem of uneven brightness display when the display screen 11 resets the photodiode multiple times within each frame scanning time, thereby improving the display effect of the display screen 11.
[0053] Since the circuit structures of the display pixel circuits in the display screen 11 are the same, the structure of the display pixel circuit and the working principle of the display screen are introduced below by taking the display pixel circuit 111 as an example.
[0054] Please also refer to Figure 4a, which is a schematic diagram of the structure of a display pixel circuit provided in an embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 4a, the display pixel circuit 111 includes a photodiode PD, a reset switch tube RTFT, a drive switch tube DTFT, a data transmission switch tube STFT, a storage capacitor Cst, an initial voltage input terminal int, a data input terminal data, a power supply terminal ELVDD, and a power supply terminal ELVSS. Among them, the anode of the photodiode PD is connected to the initial voltage input terminal int through the reset switch tube RTFT. Specifically, the source and drain of the reset switch tube RTFT are respectively connected to the anode of the photodiode PD and the initial voltage input terminal int. The cathode of the photodiode PD is connected to the power supply terminal ELVSS. The source of the drive switch tube DTFT is connected to the power supply terminal ELVDD, and the drain of the drive switch tube DTFT is connected to the anode of the photodiode PD. The source of the data transmission switch tube STFT is connected to the data input terminal data, and the drain of the data transmission switch tube STFT is connected to the gate of the drive switch tube DTFT. The storage capacitor Cst is connected between the source and gate of the drive switch tube DTFT. The initial voltage input terminal int, the data input terminal data, the power supply terminal ELVDD, and the power supply terminal ELVSS are connected to voltages Vint, Vdata, VDD, and VSS, respectively.
[0055] Among them, any of the reset switch tube RTFT, the drive switch tube DTFT, and the data transmission switch tube STFT can be a low-temperature polysilicon-thin film transistor (LTPS-TFT), an oxide TFT, or a mixture of LTPS-TFT and oxide TFT. Since the source and drain of the oxide TFT are symmetrical, the source and drain of the oxide TFT can be used interchangeably when any switch tube in the present application is connected. Exemplarily, the drain and source of the reset switch tube RTFT are connected to the anode of the photodiode PD and the initial voltage input terminal int, respectively.
[0056] In one embodiment, during each frame scan time of the display screen 11, the controller 21 controls the input voltage parameter value of a first display pixel circuit to be a first voltage when any current scan line among multiple current scan lines is located in the non-display area. The first display pixel circuit is the display pixel circuit corresponding to the current scan line among the n*m display pixel circuits located in the display area. The controller 21 also controls the input voltage parameter value of a second display pixel circuit to be a second voltage when all current scan lines are located in the display area. The second display pixel circuit is the display pixel circuit corresponding to multiple current scan lines among the n*m display pixel circuits. This ensures that the difference between the reset current value of the photodiode in the first display pixel circuit and the reset current value of the photodiode in the second display pixel circuit is less than a preset threshold. The input voltage parameter value of the display pixel circuit includes at least one of the anode voltage value of the photodiode PD, the cathode voltage value of the photodiode PD, the voltage value of the storage capacitor Cst, the gate voltage value of the drive switch transistor DTFT, and the gate voltage value of the data switch transistor STFT in the display pixel circuit.
[0057] In an optional embodiment, the input voltage parameter value of the display pixel circuit is the anode voltage value of the photodiode PD.
[0058] Specifically, during each frame scan time of the display screen 11, when any of the multiple current scan lines is located in the front or back porch area, the controller 21 controls the voltage value of the initial voltage input terminal int in the first display pixel circuit to be a first voltage, and controls the reset switch transistor RDTD of the first display pixel circuit to be conductive, so that the anode voltage value of the photodiode PD of the first display pixel circuit is the first voltage. When the anode voltage value of the photodiode PD is the first voltage, the reset current value of the photodiode PD is the first current value. Furthermore, when all of the multiple current scan lines are located in the display area, the controller 21 controls the voltage value of the initial voltage input terminal int in the second display pixel circuit to be a second voltage, and controls the reset switch transistor RTFT of the second display pixel circuit to be conductive, so that the anode voltage value of the photodiode PD of the second display pixel circuit is the second voltage. When the anode voltage value of the photodiode PD is the second voltage, the reset current value of the photodiode PD is the second current value, and the deviation between the second current value and the first current value is greater than a preset deviation. This prevents uneven brightness display caused by multiple resets of the photodiode PD by the display screen 11 during each frame scan time.
[0059] In another optional embodiment, the input voltage parameter value of the display pixel circuit is the voltage value of the storage capacitor Cst.
[0060] During each frame scan time of the display screen 11, when any of the multiple current scan lines is located in the front or back porch area, the controller 21 controls the data transmission switch transistor STFT of the first display pixel circuit to be on for a first duration, thereby charging the storage capacitor Cst so that the voltage value of the storage capacitor Cst reaches a first voltage. When the voltage value of the storage capacitor Cst reaches the first voltage, the switch transistor DTFT is driven to be in an on state, and the reset current value of the photodiode is a first current value. The controller 21 also controls the data transmission switch transistor STFT of the second display pixel circuit to be on for a second duration, when all of the multiple current scan lines are located in the display area, thereby charging the storage capacitor Cst so that the voltage value of the storage capacitor Cst reaches a second voltage. When the voltage value of the storage capacitor Cst reaches the second voltage, the switch transistor DTFT is driven to be in an on state, and the reset current value of the photodiode is a second current value. Furthermore, the deviation between the second current value and the first current value is less than a preset threshold value. This can avoid the problem of uneven brightness display caused by the display screen 11 resetting the photodiode PD multiple times during each frame scan time.
[0061] In another optional embodiment, the input voltage parameter value of the display pixel circuit is the gate voltage value of the driving switch tube DTFT.
[0062] During each frame scan time of the display screen 11, when any of the multiple current scan lines is located in the front or back porch area, the controller 21 controls the voltage value of the data input terminal data of the first display pixel circuit to be a first voltage, and controls the data transmission switch transistor STFT of the first display pixel circuit to be conductive, so that the gate voltage value of the driving switch transistor DTFT in the first display pixel circuit is the first voltage. When the gate voltage of the driving switch transistor DTFT is the first voltage, the reset current value of the photodiode PD is the first current value. The controller 21 also controls the voltage value of the data input terminal data of the second display pixel circuit to be a second voltage, and controls the data transmission switch transistor STFT of the second display pixel circuit to be conductive, so that the gate voltage value of the driving switch transistor DTFT in the second display pixel circuit is the second voltage. When the gate voltage of the driving switch transistor DTFT is the second voltage, the reset current value of the photodiode PD is the second current value, and the deviation between the second current value and the first current value is less than a preset threshold. This can avoid the problem of uneven brightness display caused by the display screen 11 resetting the photodiode PD multiple times during each frame scan time.
[0063] In another optional embodiment, the input voltage parameter value of the display pixel circuit is the gate voltage value of the data transmission switch tube STFT.
[0064] Specifically, during each frame scan time of the display screen 11, when any of the multiple current scan lines is located in the front or back porch area, the controller 21 controls the gate voltage of the data transmission switch transistor (STFT) in the first display pixel circuit to be a first voltage, the first voltage being less than the on-voltage threshold of the data transmission switch transistor (STFT), and the reset current of the photodiode to be a first current value when the control terminal voltage of the data transmission switch transistor (STFT) is at the first voltage. Furthermore, when all of the multiple current scan lines are located in the display area, the controller 21 controls the gate voltage of the data transmission switch transistor (STFT) in the second display pixel circuit to be a second voltage, the second voltage being less than the on-voltage threshold of the data transmission switch transistor (STFT), and the reset current of the photodiode to be a second current value when the off-voltage of the data transmission switch transistor (STFT) is at the second voltage, and the deviation between the second current value and the first current value is less than a preset threshold. It is understood that the display screen 11 adjusts the current flowing out of the channel of the data transmission switch transistor (STFT) by adjusting the gate voltage of the data transmission switch transistor (STFT) when the data transmission switch transistor (STFT) is in the off state, thereby adjusting the reset current of the photodiode (PD). Furthermore, since the deviation between the second current value and the first current value is smaller than the preset threshold, the problem of uneven brightness display caused by the display screen 11 resetting the photodiode PD multiple times within each frame scanning time can be avoided.
[0065] Optionally, during each frame scan time of the display screen 11, when any of the multiple current scan lines is located in the front or back porch area, the controller 21 controls the gate voltage of the data transmission switch transistor (STFT) in the first display pixel circuit to be a first voltage, the first voltage being greater than the on-voltage threshold of the data transmission switch transistor (STFT), and the reset current of the photodiode to be a first current value when the gate voltage of the data transmission switch transistor (STFT) is at the first voltage. The controller 21 also controls the gate voltage of the data transmission switch transistor (STFT) in the second display pixel circuit to be a second voltage, when all of the multiple current scan lines are located in the display area, the second voltage being greater than the on-voltage threshold of the data transmission switch transistor (STFT), and the reset current of the photodiode to be a second current value when the off-voltage of the data transmission switch transistor (STFT) is at the second voltage, and the deviation between the second current value and the first current value is less than a preset threshold. It is understood that the display screen 11 adjusts the gate voltage of the drive switch transistor (DTFT) by adjusting the gate voltage of the data transmission switch transistor (STFT) when the data transmission switch transistor (STFT) is in the on state, thereby adjusting the reset current of the photodiode (PD). Furthermore, since the deviation between the second current value and the first current value is smaller than the preset threshold, the problem of uneven brightness display caused by the display screen 11 resetting the photodiode PD multiple times within each frame scanning time can be avoided.
[0066] In yet another optional embodiment, the input voltage parameter value of the display pixel circuit is the cathode voltage value of the photodiode PD.
[0067] Optionally, the reset switch tube RTFT shown in FIG4a may also be connected to the cathode of the photodiode PD. For details, please refer to the display pixel circuit shown in FIG4b. As shown in FIG4b, the cathode of the photodiode PD is connected to the initial voltage input terminal int via the reset switch tube RTFT. Specifically, the source and drain of the reset switch tube RTFT are connected to the cathode of the photodiode PD and the initial voltage input terminal int, respectively.
[0068] During each frame scan time of the display screen 11, when any of the multiple current scan lines is located in the front or back porch area, the controller 21 controls the voltage value of the initial voltage input terminal int in the first display pixel circuit to be a first voltage, and controls the reset switch transistor RDTD of the first display pixel circuit to be conductive, so that the cathode voltage value of the photodiode PD of the first display pixel circuit is the first voltage, and the anode voltage value of the photodiode PD is the first voltage, and the reset current value of the photodiode PD is the first current value. The controller 21 also controls the voltage value of the initial voltage input terminal int in the second display pixel circuit to be a second voltage, and controls the reset switch transistor RTFT of the second display pixel circuit to be conductive, so that the cathode voltage value of the photodiode PD of the second display pixel circuit is the second voltage, and the anode voltage value of the photodiode PD is the second voltage, and the reset current value of the photodiode PD is the second current value, when all the multiple current scan lines are located in the display area. Furthermore, when all the multiple current scan lines are located in the display area, the controller 21 controls the voltage value of the initial voltage input terminal int in the second display pixel circuit to be a second voltage, and controls the reset switch transistor RTFT of the second display pixel circuit to be conductive, so that the cathode voltage value of the photodiode PD of the second display pixel circuit is the second voltage, and the anode voltage value of the photodiode PD is the second voltage, and the reset current value of the photodiode PD is the second current value, and the deviation between the second current value and the first current value is greater than a preset deviation. This can thereby avoid the problem of uneven brightness display caused by the display screen 11 resetting the photodiode PD multiple times during each frame scan time.
[0069] Furthermore, the display screen 11 can also achieve seamless switching between high and low frame rates by resetting the photodiode multiple times within each frame scanning time, avoiding the problem of screen brightness and color flickering when switching frame rates between different sets of Gamma.
[0070] During each frame scanning time of the display screen 11 having a frame rate of the first frame rate, the controller 21 controls the input voltage parameter value of the first display pixel circuit to be the first voltage when any current scanning row among multiple current scanning rows is located in the non-display area, and controls the input voltage parameter value of the second display pixel circuit to be the second voltage when all multiple current scanning rows are located in the display area.
[0071] Afterwards, the controller 21 controls the frame rate of the display screen 11 to switch from the first frame rate to the second frame rate. During each frame scan time after the frame rate of the display screen switches from the first frame rate to the second frame rate, when any current scan line among the multiple current scan lines is located in the non-display area, the controller 21 controls the input voltage parameter value of the third display pixel circuit to be the first voltage, so that the reset current value of the photodiode in the third display pixel circuit is the first current value. The third display pixel circuit is the display pixel circuit corresponding to the current scan line among the aforementioned n*m display pixel circuits located in the display area. The controller 21 also controls the input voltage parameter value of the fourth display pixel circuit to be the second voltage, so that the reset current value of the photodiode in the fourth display pixel circuit is the second current value, when all multiple current scan lines are located in the display area. The fourth display pixel circuit is the display pixel circuit corresponding to multiple current scan lines among the aforementioned n*m display pixel circuits. For the specific method for controlling the input voltage parameter value of the display pixel circuit by the display screen 11 during each frame scan time before and after the frame rate switch, please refer to the description of the above embodiment and will not be repeated here.
[0072] The first frame rate and the second frame rate are any two preset frame rates from K preset frame rates, where K ≥ F*x-x+1. The i-th preset frame rate from the K preset frame rates is F*x / (x+i-1), where i is a positive integer, F is the maximum frame rate of the display screen 11, and x is the number of the plurality of current scan lines. It will be appreciated that the K preset frame rates are the frame rates included in a set of gammas. Since i is a positive integer, the number of frame rates achievable within a set of gammas provided in this application can be infinite.
[0073] For example, assuming that the maximum frame rate F of the display screen 11 is 120Hz, the number of resets of the photodiode within each frame scan time is 3, that is, the number of multiple current scan lines within each frame scan time is 3, then the at least 358 preset frame rates contained in a set of Gamma of the display screen 11 are 120*3 / (3+1-1)=120Hz, 120*3 / (3+2-1)=90Hz, 120*3 / (3+3-1)=72Hz, 120*3 / (3+4-1)=60Hz, 120*3 / (3+5-1)=51.4Hz, ..., 120*3 / (3+358-1)=1Hz. Please refer to Figure 5 for details. Figure 5 is a waveform diagram of the input voltage parameters of the display pixel circuit before and after the frame rate switching of the display screen provided in an embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 5, the frame rate of the display screen 11 can be any one of 120Hz, 90Hz, 72Hz, 60Hz, ..., 1Hz. When the frame rate of the display screen 11 is 120 Hz, the three working cycles T of the display screen 11 constitute one frame scan time of the display screen 11 when the frame rate is 120 Hz, i.e., 1-frame as shown in FIG5 . Here, one working cycle T of the display screen 11 = T1 + T2, where T1 represents the time period corresponding to when the three current scan lines of the display screen 11 are all located in the display area, and T2 represents the time period corresponding to when any of the three current scan lines of the display screen 11 is located in the front or rear porch area. When the frame rate of the display screen 11 is 90 Hz, the four working cycles T of the display screen 11 constitute one frame scan time of the display screen 11; when the frame rate of the display screen 11 is 72 Hz, the five working cycles T of the display screen 11 constitute one frame scan time of the display screen 11; and when the frame rate of the display screen 11 is 60 Hz, the six working cycles T of the display screen 11 constitute one frame scan time of the display screen 11.
[0074] Furthermore, assuming that the first frame rate is 120 Hz and the second frame rate is 90 Hz, the frame rate of the display screen 11 is 120 Hz during the time period from t1 to t7, and the frame rate of the display screen 11 switches from 120 Hz to 90 Hz after time t7, then during the time period from t1 to t2, i.e., the time period corresponding to when all three current scan lines of the display screen 11 are located in the display area, the controller 21 controls the input voltage parameter value of the second display pixel circuit to be the second voltage V2. During the time period from t2 to t3, i.e., the time period corresponding to when any one of the three current scan lines of the display screen 11 is located in the display area, the controller 21 controls the input voltage parameter value of the first display pixel circuit to be the first voltage V1. ... During the time period from t6 to t7, i.e., the time period corresponding to when any one of the three current scan lines of the display screen 11 is located in the display area, the controller 21 controls the input voltage parameter value of the first display pixel circuit to be the first voltage V1. After time t7, the frame rate of the display screen 11 switches from 120 Hz to 90 Hz. During the time period from t7 to t8, i.e., the time period corresponding to when all three current scanning lines of the display screen 11 are in the display area, the controller 21 controls the input voltage parameter value of the fourth display pixel circuit to be the second voltage V2. During the time period from t8 to t9, i.e., the time period corresponding to when any of the three current scanning lines of the display screen 11 is in the display area, the controller 21 controls the input voltage parameter value of the third display pixel circuit to be the first voltage V1.
[0075] Based on this, it can be seen that the preset frame rate values included in a set of Gamma for the display screen 11 are more diverse than the preset frame rate values included in a set of Gamma in the prior art. For example, assuming that the maximum frame rate of the display screen 11 is 120Hz, the frame rates included in a set of Gamma in the prior art are 120Hz, 60Hz, 40Hz, 30Hz, 24Hz, 20Hz, ..., 1Hz. Obviously, a set of Gamma in the prior art does not include frame rates such as 90Hz and 72Hz. In addition, based on a set of Gamma in the prior art, if the frame rate of the display screen 11 is to be switched from 120Hz to 90Hz, the control timing output by the driving circuit to the display pixel circuit will change, and it is necessary to switch from the current set of Gamma including 120Hz to another set of Gamma including 72Hz, which will cause the brightness and color of the display screen 11 to flicker. The display screen 11 in the present application can provide a set of Gammas with more diverse preset frame rate values, so that the display screen 11 can complete frame rate switching within the same set of Gammas, thereby avoiding the problem of screen brightness and color flickering when the display screen 11 switches the frame rate between different sets of Gammas, thereby improving the display effect of the display screen 11.
[0076] Based on the display screen 11 shown in Figure 3 and the display pixel circuit shown in Figure 4a or Figure 4b, the present application also provides a display module, which includes a display screen 11, a protective layer and an anti-fingerprint layer. Among them, the protective layer is located on the upper surface of the display screen 11 and is used to protect the display screen 11. The anti-fingerprint layer is located on the surface of the protective layer away from the display screen 11, and is used to improve the contact angle of the display module to prevent fingerprints from remaining on the surface of the display module. Here, the specific structure of the display module can be found in the structural schematic diagram of the display module 1 shown in Figure 1 (b), which will not be repeated here. The display module can also add stacking layers based on actual needs to meet different application scenarios. For example, the display module can also include an antistatic layer, which is located between the anti-fingerprint layer and the protective layer to reduce the frictional static electricity generated on the surface of the display module.
[0077] In an embodiment of the present application, since the number of photodiodes that need to be reset when any current scanning row among multiple current scanning rows is located in the non-display area is different from the number of photodiodes that need to be reset when multiple current scanning rows are all located in the display area, the input voltage parameter value of the first display pixel circuit and the input voltage parameter value of the second display pixel circuit can be controlled differently, so that the deviation between the reset current value of the photodiode in the first display pixel circuit and the reset current value of the photodiode in the second display pixel circuit is less than a preset threshold value, thereby effectively avoiding the problem of uneven brightness display when the display screen 11 resets the photodiode multiple times within each frame scanning time, thereby improving the display effect of the display module.
[0078] Based on the display module in the above embodiment, the present application further provides an electronic device, which includes a display module and a housing connected to the display module. The specific structure of the electronic device can be seen in the schematic diagram of the structure of the electronic device as shown in FIG1 (a) when the electronic device is a smartphone, and will not be described in detail here.
[0079] In an embodiment of the present application, since the number of photodiodes that need to be reset when any current scanning row among multiple current scanning rows is located in the non-display area is different from the number of photodiodes that need to be reset when multiple current scanning rows are all located in the display area, the input voltage parameter value of the first display pixel circuit and the input voltage parameter value of the second display pixel circuit can be controlled differently, so that the deviation between the reset current value of the photodiode in the first display pixel circuit and the reset current value of the photodiode in the second display pixel circuit is less than a preset threshold value, thereby effectively avoiding the problem of uneven brightness display when the display screen 11 resets the photodiode multiple times within each frame scanning time, thereby improving the screen display effect of the electronic device.
