Abstract
Description
Imaging device, grip arm
[0001] The present technology relates to an imaging device and a grip arm, and more particularly to an imaging device and a grip arm that allow the angle of the grip arm to be easily changed.
[0002] Professional video cameras used in the production of TV shows, movies, and other video content are large and heavy. For this reason, a grip arm can be attached to the video camera body so that it can be operated even when carried on the shoulder. The grip section at the end of the grip arm, which extends forward, is equipped with various controls such as the start / end button and zoom lever.
[0003] JP 2016-051001 A
[0004] To change the angle of the grip arm attached to the main body, you have to turn the male threaded knob on the attachment to loosen the screw, then, while holding the grip arm at the desired angle, turn the male threaded knob again to retighten it. This makes changing the angle time-consuming and difficult to do with one hand.
[0005] The present technology has been made in view of such circumstances, and makes it possible to easily change the angle of the grip arm.
[0006] An imaging device according to a first aspect of the present technology includes a grip arm provided with a fastening portion on the arm body, the fastening portion having a first fixing portion fixed to the device body at an arbitrary angle around the shaft portion when an operating component is not being rotated and a second fixing portion that releases the fixation of the arm body when the rotation operation is being performed, and the device body having an attachment portion for the grip arm.
[0007] A grip arm according to a second aspect of the present technology is a grip arm that is detachable from the device body of an imaging device, and has a fastening portion provided on the arm body, the fastening portion having a first fixing portion that is fixed to the device body at any angle around the shaft portion when no rotation operation of an operating component is being performed, and a second fixing portion that fixes the arm body at any angle around the shaft portion when the rotation operation is being performed, and releases the fixation of the arm body when the rotation operation is being performed.

[0009] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present technology will be described. The description will be made in the following order: 1. External configuration of an imaging device 2. Conventional grip arm mounting mechanism 3. Grip arm mounting structure according to an embodiment of the present technology 4. Other
[0010] <<External Configuration of Imaging Device>> FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing an example of the external appearance of an imaging device according to an embodiment of the present technology.
[0011] An imaging device 1 according to an embodiment of the present technology is a professional video camera. A lens mount 11 is provided on the front surface of a substantially rectangular parallelepiped device body 2. The imaging device 1 is a video camera with a detachable lens.
[0012] A circular grip attachment portion 12 is provided on the left side of the device body 2 at a position lower and closer to the front. As shown by arrow A1, a grip arm 3 is attached to the grip attachment portion 12. The grip arm 3 is a device that can be attached to and detached from the device body 2. A fastening portion 21A, which serves as an attachment mechanism to the device body 2, is provided at the rear end of the arm portion 21 of the grip arm 3.
[0013] The grip arm 3 is configured by providing a grip section 22 at the tip of an extendable arm section 21. The grip section 22 is provided with various operation sections such as a shooting START / END button and a zoom lever.
[0014] The shooting style of the imaging device 1 is to place the device body 2, with a shoulder adapter or the like attached, on the right shoulder and hold the grip part 22 at the tip of the grip arm 3, which extends forward, with the right hand. The photographer changes the length and angle of the grip arm 3 before taking a picture.
[0015] <<Conventional Grip Arm Mounting Mechanism>> FIG. 2 is a diagram showing a conventional grip arm mounting mechanism.
[0016] As shown enlarged on the right side of Figure 2, the conventional grip arm attachment mechanism is realized by providing a circular rosette ring on each side of the image capture device body and the grip arm. The rosette ring has radial grooves. A female threaded hole 501A is provided at the center of the rosette ring 501 on the body side. Meanwhile, a male threaded knob 512, which has a male thread 512A at its tip that meshes with the female threaded hole 501A, is attached to the rosette ring 511 on the grip arm side.
[0017] When the photographer turns knob 512B (Fig. 3) while the male thread 512A on the grip arm is in contact with the female thread 501A on the main body, the grip arm is pulled into the main body, and when it is fully tightened, the concave and convex grooves of the rosette rings engage with each other. Fig. 3 shows a cross section of the fastening portion when the concave and convex grooves of rosette ring 501 on the main body and rosette ring 511 on the grip arm are engaged. By performing this operation, the photographer can fix the grip arm to the main body at any angle.
[0018] To change the angle of the grip arm once it has been fixed in place, the photographer must first loosen the screw by rotating the knob 512B until the concave and convex grooves on the rosette rings disengage, then, with the grip arm held at the desired angle, rotate the knob 512B again to retighten it. This makes changing the angle time-consuming and difficult to do with one hand.
[0019] Some commercially available grip arms have a mechanism that allows the angle of the grip arm to be freely changed while pressing a cylindrical button on the side of the grip arm. A mechanism inside the arm using a compression coil spring allows the angle of the arm to be fixed when the button is released.
[0020] The button for changing the angle is provided at the joint where the angle change mechanism is provided. By providing the joint where the angle change mechanism is provided separately from the joint where the attachment mechanism for the main body of the imaging device and the grip arm is provided, the grip arm becomes a device with two joints. Having two joints makes the grip arm larger and more difficult to handle.
[0021] <<Attachment structure of grip arm according to one embodiment of the present technology>> <Outline of the present technology> FIG. 4 is a diagram showing the appearance of the grip arm 3 attached to the device body 2. As shown in FIG.
[0022] In this technology, an additional mechanism is provided in the fastening portion 21A at the rear end of the grip arm 3, thereby enabling angle change by lever operation.
[0023] Furthermore, the angle change mechanism and the attachment mechanism are realized in the fastening portion 21A as a single joint portion, which allows the grip arm 3 to be made smaller and easier to handle than a grip arm having two joint portions, one for realizing the angle change mechanism and the other for realizing the attachment mechanism, which are provided separately.
[0024] As shown in Fig. 4, a lever 32 is provided on the fastening portion 21A. The lever 32 is an operating component that can be pushed up as indicated by arrow A11 in Fig. 5 around the rotation axis of the fastening portion 21A. While the photographer is pushing up the lever 32, the grip arm 3 can be freely rotated in a vertical plane around the fastening portion 21A. When the photographer stops pushing up the lever 32 by, for example, releasing his / her finger, the angle of the grip arm 3 is fixed. When the pushing up is stopped, the state of the lever 32 returns to the state shown in Fig. 4 before the pushing up operation.
[0025] This allows the angle of the grip arm 3 to be changed with a single operation, such as a lever. In other words, there is no need to turn a male-threaded knob to loosen it, change the angle, and then retighten it. Compared to changing the angle while pressing a cylindrical button on the side of the grip arm, the photographer can easily change the angle even when carrying the main body on their shoulder.
[0026] 6 is an exploded perspective view showing an example of the configuration of the operation surface side of the fastening portion 21A. The surface on which the lever 32, which is an operation component, is provided is the operation surface of the fastening portion 21A.
[0027] As shown in Figure 6, a cylindrical hole (hole) 41A is formed at the rear end of the arm main body 41. A torsion coil spring 51 is fitted into an annular groove 41B formed around the hole 41A, and a cylindrical portion 52B of a rotating shaft part 52 is fitted into the torsion coil spring 51 so as to pass through the annular portion 32A of the lever 32 (arrow A21). Figure 7 shows the cross-sectional configuration of the fastening part 21A when the parts are combined.
[0028] The lever 32 is an operating part that is integrally formed with an annular part 32A having a ring-shaped wall surface and a knob part 32B that is an L-shaped thin plate member. The rotating shaft part 52 is a part that has a flange part 52A formed on the upper end of a cylindrical part 52B.
[0029] 8 and 9 are diagrams showing examples of how the torsion coil spring 51 is attached.
[0030] Small protruding end portions 51A and 51B are formed by bending both ends of torsion coil spring 51, which is made by bending a thin metal wire into a spiral shape. As shown by the circle #1 in Figure 8, end portion 51A, which is one end portion, is inserted into circular hole portion 41C formed in groove portion 41B of arm body 41.
[0031] 9, the other end 51B is inserted into a circular hole 32D formed in a groove 32C on the back surface of the lever 32. A groove 32C is formed on the back surface of the annular portion 32A of the lever 32 so as to surround the central hole.
[0032] FIG. 10 is a diagram showing the positions of the cams formed on the arm body 41 and the lever 32. As shown in FIG.
[0033] 10A, narrow cams 41D-1 to 41D-3 are formed at equal intervals on the inner wall of groove 41B of arm body 41. The upper surfaces (shown in color) of cams 41D-1 to 41D-3 are gently inclined.
[0034] 10B, narrow cams 32A-1 to 32A-3 are formed at equal intervals on the end of the circumferential wall surface surrounding groove 32C of lever 32. The ends (shown in color) of cams 32A-1 to 32A-3 are gently inclined.
[0035] As will be described later, the shaft portion (shaft portion 31A (FIG. 22)) of the male-threaded knob 31 is inserted into the central through-hole of the rotary shaft part 52 fitted into the annular portion 32A. The wall surfaces that make up the annular portion 32A are wall surfaces that surround the shaft portion. Cams 32A-1 to 32A-3 are cams formed at the lower ends of the wall surfaces that make up the annular portion 32A and surround the shaft portion.
[0036] When the lever 32 is attached to the arm main body 41 as described with reference to Fig. 6, the cams 41D-1 and 32A-1, the cams 41D-2 and 32A-2, and the cams 41D-3 and 32A-3 are respectively in meshing states as shown in Fig. 11. The thick line #21 in Fig. 11A, the thick line #22 in Fig. 11B, and the thick line #23 in Fig. 11C indicate the meshing positions of the cams 41D-1 and 32A-1, the cams 41D-2 and 32A-2, and the cams 41D-3 and 32A-3, respectively. For ease of explanation, the arm main body 41 is shown in a see-through state in Fig. 11.
[0037] 12 is an exploded perspective view showing an example of the configuration of the mounting surface side of the fastening portion 21 A. When the grip arm 3 is mounted to the device body 2, the surface facing the device body 2 becomes the mounting surface of the fastening portion 21 A.
[0038] 12, a circular recess 41E surrounded by a thin wall surface is formed at the rear end of the arm body 41, and a hole 41A is formed at the center of the recess 41E. In Fig. 12, a rotary shaft part 52 is fitted into the hole 41A from the operation surface side.
[0039] As shown by arrow A31, cam ring 101 and double-sided rosette ring 102 are fitted into recess 41E. As shown in Fig. 13, rotating shaft part 52 and double-sided rosette ring 102 are fastened together by screw 103, thereby holding each of the lever 32, torsion coil spring 51, rotating shaft part 52, cam ring 101, and double-sided rosette ring 102 in place on arm main body 41. A threaded hole for screw 103 is formed in the upper surface of flange part 52A of rotating shaft part 52, which appears in the center of recess 41E. Fig. 14 shows a cross-sectional configuration of fastening part 21A when the parts are assembled.
[0040] FIG. 15 is a diagram showing the arm body 41 and the cams formed on the cam ring 101. As shown in FIG.
[0041] 15A, narrow cams 41F-1 to 41F-3 are formed at equal intervals on the inner wall of the recess 41E of the arm body 41. The upper surfaces (shown in color) of the cams 41F-1 to 41F-3 are gently inclined.
[0042] 15B, narrow cams 101A-1 to 101A-3 are formed at equal intervals on the end of the circumferential wall surface that forms the cam ring 101. The cams 101A-1 to 101A-3 have gently sloping surfaces.
[0043] When the cam ring 101 is fitted into the recess 41E of the arm main body 41 as described with reference to Fig. 12, the cams 41F-1 and 101A-1, the cams 41F-2 and 101A-2, and the cams 41F-3 and 101A-3 are respectively engaged with each other as shown in Fig. 16. The thick line #31 in Fig. 16A, the thick line #32 in Fig. 16B, and the thick line #33 in Fig. 16C indicate the engagement positions of the cams 41F-1 and 101A-1, the cams 41F-2 and 101A-2, and the cams 41F-3 and 101A-3, respectively. For ease of explanation, the arm main body 41 is shown in a see-through state in Fig. 16.
[0044] FIG. 17 is a diagram showing the state of the cam ring 101 as viewed from the operation surface side.
[0045] 17, narrow through-holes 41G-1 to 41G-3 are formed along the inner wall of groove portion 41B of arm main body 41. Through-hole 41G-1 is formed between cams 41D-1 and 41D-2, and through-hole 41G-2 is formed between cams 41D-2 and 41D-3. Through-hole 41G-3 is formed between cams 41D-1 and 41D-3. Parts of the wall surface of cam ring 101 are visible from the surface side of arm main body 41 through through-holes 41G-1 to 41G-3.
[0046] When lever 32 and cam ring 101 are attached to arm main body 41, a convex portion formed at the lower end of the wall surface of annular portion 32A of lever 32 and a concave portion formed at the upper end of the wall surface of cam ring 101 mesh with each other via through holes 41G-1 to 41G-3, as shown in circles #41 to #43 in Fig. 18. Arm main body 41 is not shown in Fig. 18.
[0047] The lever 32 and the cam ring 101 mesh with each other via the through holes 41G-1 to 41G-3, so that the cam ring 101 moves in conjunction with the rotation of the lever 32 as shown by the arrow A41.
[0048] As will be described later, when the lever 32 is pushed up, the cam ring 101 moves in conjunction with the rotation of the lever 32, causing the positions of the cams 101A-1 to 101A-3 to slide, and the arm body 41, which has cams 41F-1 to 41F-3 (FIGS. 15 and 16) that mesh with the cams 101A-1 to 101A-3, is lifted. Lifting the arm body 41 separates the arm body 41 from the double-sided rosette ring 102. The cam ring 101 is a rotating part formed with a cam that rotates in conjunction with the rotation of the lever 32 and separates the arm body 41 from the double-sided rosette ring 102. The cam ring 101 is provided between the arm body 41 and the double-sided rosette ring 102.
[0049] FIG. 19 is a diagram showing the appearance of the double-sided rosette ring 102.
[0050] Fig. 19A shows the appearance of the surface of the double-sided rosette ring 102. When the grip arm 3 is attached to the device main body 2, the surface of the double-sided rosette ring 102 is the surface that comes into contact with the device main body 2. As shown in Fig. 19A, the double-sided rosette ring 102, which is a circular part, has a circular recess 102A formed in its center, and a hole 102B formed in the center of the circular recess 102A. Radial grooves 102C are formed around the recess 102A.
[0051] 19B shows the appearance of the back surface of the double-sided rosette ring 102. When the double-sided rosette ring 102 is fitted into the recess 41E of the arm body 41, the surface that comes into contact with the arm body 41 becomes the back surface of the double-sided rosette ring 102. As shown in FIG. 19B, radial grooves 102D are also formed on the back surface of the double-sided rosette ring 102.
[0052] 20 , radial grooves (rosette shape) are formed on the bottom surface of the recess 41E of the arm body 41. When the double-sided rosette ring 102 is fitted into the recess 41E as indicated by arrow A51, the grooves 102D formed on the back surface of the double-sided rosette ring 102 mesh with the grooves formed on the bottom surface of the recess 41E.
[0053] FIG. 21 is a diagram showing the state in which the arm body 41 and the double-sided rosette ring 102 are engaged with each other.
[0054] As shown by the ellipse #51 in Fig. 21A, the concave-convex groove 102D formed on the back surface of the double-sided rosette ring 102 engages with the concave-convex groove formed on the bottom surface of the recess 41E. Fig. 21B shows the cross-sectional state when the arm body 41 and the double-sided rosette ring 102 are engaged.
[0055] The concave-convex groove 102C on the surface of the double-sided rosette ring 102 engages with the concave-convex groove formed in the grip attachment part 12 of the device body 2. The grip attachment part 12 also has a concave-convex groove (FIG. 1).
[0056] In this way, the double-sided rosette ring 102 is a part having a concave-convex groove 102C formed on its surface, which engages with a concave-convex groove formed in the grip mounting portion 12 of the device main body 2 and serves as a fixing portion (first fixing portion) that fixes the grip arm 3 including the arm main body 41 at any angle.
[0057] Furthermore, the double-sided rosette ring 102 is a component having a concave-convex groove 102D formed on its back surface, which meshes with a concave-convex groove formed in the recess 41E of the arm body 41 to serve as a fixing portion (second fixing portion) that fixes the grip arm 3 including the arm body 41 at an arbitrary angle when the lever 32 is not being operated. The double-sided rosette ring 102 is a fixing component having fixing portions formed on both its front and back surfaces.
[0058] <Attachment of Components> FIG. 22 is a diagram showing an example of attaching the male-threaded knob 31. As shown in FIG.
[0059] With each component attached to the arm main body 41, the shaft 31A of the threaded knob 31 is inserted into the through-hole of the rotating shaft component 52 as indicated by arrow A61 to complete the fastening portion 21A. The shaft 31A is a member that serves as the rotation shaft of the fastening portion 21A. A threaded portion is formed at the tip of the shaft 31A, and a knob 31B is provided at the rear end. Figure 23 shows an example of the cross-sectional configuration of the fastening portion 21A. The lever 32 is provided between the knob 31B and the arm main body 41.
[0060] 24 and 25 are diagrams showing examples of how the grip arm 3 is attached.
[0061] As shown by arrow A71 in Fig. 24, by rotating the male threaded knob 31 as shown by arrow A81 in Fig. 25 while the concave-convex groove formed in the grip attachment part 12 of the device body 2 is engaged with the concave-convex groove 102C formed in the double-sided rosette ring 102 of the grip arm 3, the female threaded hole of the grip attachment part 12 and the male threaded part of the male threaded knob 31 are fastened together, and the grip arm 3 is fixed to the device body 2. The male threaded part provided at the tip of the shank 31A of the male threaded knob 31 is a member used for fastening to the female threaded hole of the grip attachment part 12.
[0062] The ellipse #61 in Figure 26 shows the state in which the concave-convex groove 102C formed on the surface of the double-sided rosette ring 102 of the grip arm 3 is engaged with the concave-convex groove of the grip mounting part 12 of the device main body 2.
[0063] The fastening portion 21A, which serves as the attachment mechanism for the grip arm 3, is configured as described above.
[0064] <Operation of Fastening Portion 21A> State in which Lever 32 is not operated FIG. 27 is a diagram showing a state in which the lever 32 is not operated.
[0065] When the lever 32 is not being operated, the reaction force of the torsion coil spring 51 acts on the arm body 41 and the lever 32, causing them to rotate in opposite directions around the rotation axis of the fastening portion 21A.
[0066] A force acting on the arm body 41 to rotate it counterclockwise (left) as indicated by an arrow A91 in Fig. 27. When the fastening portion 21A is viewed from the side, this force corresponds to a force acting in the direction indicated by an arrow A101 in Fig. 28.
[0067] On the other hand, a force acting on the lever 32 tends to rotate it in a clockwise direction as indicated by an arrow A92 in Fig. 27. When the fastening portion 21A is viewed from the side, this force corresponds to a force acting in the direction indicated by an arrow A102 in Fig. 28.
[0068] As explained with reference to Figures 10 and 11, the cams at the three locations where the arm main body 41 and the lever 23 engage are inclined surfaces. The three cams generate a force that moves the arm main body 41 and the lever 23 in a direction separating them, due to the reaction force of the torsion coil spring 51. The thick line #71 in Figure 28 indicates the position where the cam 41D-2 of the arm main body 41 and the cam 32A-2 of the lever 32 engage (the same position as the thick line #22 in Figure 11).
[0069] FIG. 29 is a diagram showing an example of the cross-sectional configuration of the fastening portion 21A.
[0070] Due to the reaction force of the torsion coil spring 51 and the above-described cam structure, a force that pulls the arm main body 41 and the lever 32 apart in the direction of the rotation axis of the fastening portion 21A acts on the arm main body 41 and the lever 32, as shown by the white arrow A111 in Figure 29. The movement of the lever 32 (upward movement) is regulated by the back surface 52A-1 of the flange portion 52A of the rotating shaft part 52.
[0071] Therefore, when the lever 32 is not being operated, the arm body 41 is pressed against the double-sided rosette ring 102, and the concave and convex grooves of the arm body 41 and the double-sided rosette ring 102 are held in an engaged state. Because the front side of the double-sided rosette ring 102 of the grip arm 3 is fixed to the device body 2, the angle of the grip arm 3 is fixed. In this way, the lever 32 is a part formed with a cam that presses the arm body 41 against the double-sided rosette ring 102 when no push-up operation is being performed.
[0072] Lever 32 Pushed Up FIG. 30 is a diagram showing the lever 32 pushed up.
[0073] When the lever 32 is operated and pushed up as shown by arrow A121 in Figure 30, the reaction force of the torsion coil spring 51 is suppressed by the operating force, and the force pressing the uneven grooves of the arm body 41 and the uneven grooves of the double-sided rosette ring 102, as described with reference to Figure 29, disappears.
[0074] Furthermore, when lever 32 is pushed up, cam ring 101 rotates in conjunction with the rotation of lever 32. As described with reference to Figure 18, lever 32 and cam ring 101 are engaged with each other via through holes 41G-1 to 41G-3 of arm main body 41, and cam ring 101 is interlocked with the rotation of lever 32.
[0075] A force acts on the cam ring 101 in the direction indicated by an arrow A131 in Fig. 31. A force acts on the arm main body 41 in the direction indicated by an arrow A132 in Fig. 31.
[0076] 15 and 16, the cams at the three locations where the arm body 41 and the cam ring 101 engage are inclined. The three cams generate a force that moves the cam in a direction that lifts the arm body 41, that is, in a direction that lifts the arm body 41 and moves the arm body 41 away from the double-sided rosette ring 102.
[0077] FIG. 32 is a diagram showing an example of the cross-sectional configuration of the fastening portion 21A.
[0078] Due to the rotational movement of the cam ring 101 and the above-mentioned cam structure, the cam ring 101 lifts the arm body 41, as shown by arrow A141 in Figure 32, and a force is applied that pulls the arm body 41 away from the double-sided rosette ring 102 in the direction of the rotation axis of the fastening portion 21A.
[0079] As a result, as shown by the circle surrounded by oval #81, the engagement between the concave-convex groove formed in the recess 41E of the arm body 41 and the concave-convex groove 102D formed on the back surface of the double-sided rosette ring 102 is released, allowing the grip arm 3 to be rotated to any angle around the rotation axis of the fastening portion 21A.
[0080] When the pushing up of the lever 32 is stopped by removing the finger from the knob portion 32B, the reaction force of the torsion coil spring 51 again presses the concave-convex groove of the arm body 41 against the concave-convex groove 102D of the double-sided rosette ring 102, and the grip arm 3 is fixed at the angle at the time when the pushing up of the lever 32 was stopped.
[0081] In this way, when the lever 32 is not operated, the concave-convex groove 102D of the double-sided rosette ring 102 engages with the concave-convex groove of the arm body 41 to fix the grip arm 3, and when the lever 32 is operated, the engagement with the concave-convex groove of the arm body 41 is released, releasing the fixation of the grip arm 3.
[0082] As described above, by adopting a double-sided rosette ring 102 having concave and convex grooves formed on both the front and back surfaces, it is possible to integrate the attachment / detachment mechanism for the device main body 2 and the arm angle change mechanism, thereby realizing miniaturization of the grip arm 3.
[0083] Furthermore, by realizing the arm angle change mechanism with a cam having a circumferentially inclined surface and a torsion coil spring 51, the photographer can easily change the angle of the grip arm 3 by simply operating the lever, such as by pushing up the lever 32. The photographer simply changes the angle of the grip arm 3 to the desired angle while the lever 32 is pushed up, and then stops pushing up the lever 32 in that state.
[0084] By employing a cam ring 101 interlocked with the rotational movement of the lever 32, the arm body 41 can be separated from the double-sided rosette ring 102 when changing the angle, preventing the uneven groove surface from rubbing and realizing smooth rotation.
[0085] <<Others>> <Variations> Although the angle is fixed by the meshing of the concave and convex grooves, the angle may be fixed by a method other than the meshing of the concave and convex grooves, such as a method using frictional force between parts.
[0086] At least some of the components of the fastening portion 21A may be molded integrally using a 3D printer, etc. For example, the rotating shaft part 52 and the double-sided rosette ring 102 can be molded integrally.
[0087] The above-described mechanism is used to attach the grip arm 3 of the imaging device 1, which is a professional video camera, but the same mechanism as the fastening portion 21A can also be used when attaching various devices that are detachable from the main body and require changes in angle.
[0088] A fastening portion having the same configuration as the fastening portion 21A may be provided on the device main body 2 side, and an attachment portion having the same configuration as the grip attachment portion 12 may be provided on the grip arm 3 side.
[0089] The effects described in this specification are merely examples and are not limiting, and other effects may also be present.
[0090] The embodiments of the present technology are not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications are possible without departing from the spirit of the present technology.
