Abstract
Description
Fire extinguishing material, fire extinguishing material roll, and method for manufacturing fire extinguishing material
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a fire extinguishing material, a fire extinguishing material roll, and a method for manufacturing the fire extinguishing material.
[0002] From the viewpoint of minimizing damage caused by a fire, it is desirable to perform some kind of fire extinguishing operation (initial fire extinguishing) shortly after the fire breaks out. By placing a fire extinguishing material containing a fire extinguishing agent such as an organic salt or an inorganic salt near an object at risk of catching fire, it is expected that the fire will be extinguished before a person senses that the object has caught fire. From this viewpoint, fire extinguishing materials in which a fire extinguishing agent is sealed in a packaging bag have been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1). In such fire extinguishing materials, when a fire breaks out, the fire extinguishing agent reacts, dissolving the packaging bag on the side facing the fire and creating a large hole, and the reacted fire extinguishing agent is forcefully released toward the fire, extinguishing the fire.
[0003] International Publication No. 2023 / 277040
[0004] Depending on the type of fire, there is a possibility that fires may break out in multiple locations or over a wide area, resulting in a chain reaction and a multi-stage fire. In particular, in a fire inside a distribution panel, the resulting flames may travel along the wiring, making a multi-stage fire more likely to occur. However, with the conventional fire extinguishing materials described above, all or most of the material is consumed in a single reaction, making it difficult to react again. As a result, there is a possibility that they will not be able to respond to a multi-stage fire.
[0005] Therefore, it is conceivable to install a large-area fire extinguishing material so that even if a part of the fire extinguishing agent reacts, an area of unreacted fire extinguishing agent remains. However, with the above-mentioned conventional fire extinguishing material, a hole is made in the packaging bag during the first fire extinguishing, and by the time of the second or subsequent reaction, the packaging bag is already in a hole state, so the directionality of the fire extinguishing agent is lost and the fire extinguishing performance may be significantly reduced.
[0006] The present disclosure has been made to solve such problems, and aims to provide a fire extinguishing material, a fire extinguishing material roll, and a method for manufacturing a fire extinguishing material that can respond to multi-stage fires.
[0007] [1] A fire extinguishing material according to the present disclosure includes a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers each containing a fire extinguishing agent and spaced apart from one another, and a packaging material that individually encloses the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers.
[0008] In this fire extinguishing material, multiple extinguishing agent layers arranged at a distance from each other are individually enclosed in a packaging material, thereby preventing a chain reaction of the extinguishing agents between the multiple extinguishing agent layers. In other words, even if one extinguishing agent layer reacts and is consumed, the other extinguishing agent layers can remain unreacted. Furthermore, even if a portion of the packaging material enclosing one extinguishing agent layer dissolves and forms a hole, the other extinguishing agent layers can remain enclosed in the packaging material. This allows the multiple extinguishing agent layers to react in multiple stages, making it possible to respond to multistage fires. In other words, fires can be extinguished in multiple stages.
[0009] [2] In the fire extinguishing material according to [1], the fire extinguishing agent may contain at least one of an organic salt and an inorganic salt. Since the fire extinguishing material contains at least one of an organic salt and an inorganic salt, it is possible to obtain appropriate fire extinguishing performance.
[0010] [3] In the fire extinguishing material according to [2], the fire extinguishing agent may contain a compound having an oxidizing action. In this fire extinguishing material, since the fire extinguishing agent contains a compound having an oxidizing action, it is possible to generate an aerosol by receiving thermal energy from a fire.
[0011] [4] In the fire extinguishing material according to any one of [1] to [3], the fire extinguishing agent may contain potassium citrate and potassium chlorate. In this fire extinguishing material, since the fire extinguishing agent contains potassium citrate and potassium chlorate, appropriate fire extinguishing performance can be obtained.
[0012] [5] In the fire extinguishing material according to any one of [1] to [4], each of the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers may contain a binder. In this fire extinguishing material, since each of the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers contains a binder, the properties of the fire extinguishing agent are easily maintained, and the replacement frequency of the fire extinguishing material can be reduced.
[0013] [6] In the fire extinguishing material according to any one of [1] to [5], the content of the fire extinguishing agent in the fire extinguishing agent layer may be 70% by mass or more and 97% by mass or less. Since the content of the fire extinguishing agent in the fire extinguishing agent layer is 70% by mass or more, this fire extinguishing material is likely to achieve excellent fire extinguishing performance. Furthermore, since the content of the fire extinguishing agent in the fire extinguishing agent layer is 97% by mass or less, it is likely to suppress deliquescence of the fire extinguishing agent and to form a homogeneous fire extinguishing agent layer.
[0014] [7] In the fire extinguishing material according to any one of [1] to [6], the packaging material may be formed in a long shape, and the plurality of extinguishing agent layers may be arranged in the longitudinal direction of the packaging material. Since the plurality of extinguishing agent layers are arranged in the longitudinal direction of the packaging material, this fire extinguishing material can respond to multi-stage fires in the longitudinal direction of the packaging material. Furthermore, since the fire extinguishing material can be cut so as to be divided in the longitudinal direction and used, the fire extinguishing material can be formed into various shapes, and the degree of freedom in installation is improved.
[0015] [8] In the fire extinguishing material described in [7], the plurality of extinguishing agent layers may also be arranged in the width direction of the packaging material, which is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. In this fire extinguishing material, the extinguishing agent layers are also arranged in the width direction of the packaging material, so that it is possible to respond to multi-stage fires in the width direction of the packaging material. Furthermore, since the fire extinguishing material can be cut so as to be divided in the width direction and used, the fire extinguishing material can be made into various shapes, and the degree of freedom in installation is also improved.
[0016] [9] In the fire extinguishing material according to any one of [1] to [8], the shortest distance between adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers may be 10 mm or more. In this fire extinguishing material, since the shortest distance between adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers is 10 mm or more, mutual reaction between adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers can be suppressed. Furthermore, when the fire extinguishing material is cut between adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers, the arrival of moisture permeating from the cut surface to the fire extinguishing agent layer can be delayed. In particular, by cutting the fire extinguishing material in the center between adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers, the distance from the cut surface to the fire extinguishing agent layer can be set to 5 mm or more, further delaying the arrival of moisture permeating from the cut surface to the fire extinguishing agent layer. Therefore, even when a deliquescent fire extinguishing agent is used, deterioration of the performance of the fire extinguishing agent layer can be suppressed over a long period of time.
[0017]
[10] In the fire extinguishing material according to any one of [1] to [9], the shortest distance from the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers to the edge of the packaging material may be 5 mm or more. In this fire extinguishing material, since the shortest distance from the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers to the edge of the packaging material is 5 mm or more, moisture that has permeated from the edge of the packaging material is less likely to reach the fire extinguishing agent layer. Therefore, even when a deliquescent fire extinguishing agent is used, deterioration in the performance of the fire extinguishing agent layer can be suppressed over a long period of time.
[0018]
[11] In the fire extinguishing material according to any one of [1] to
[10] , the packaging material may have perforations formed between adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers. In this fire extinguishing material, since the packaging material has perforations formed between adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers, the fire extinguishing material can be easily cut between the adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers.
[0019]
[12] In the fire extinguishing material described in
[11] , the shortest distance from the fire extinguishing agent layer closest to the perforation to the perforation may be 5 mm or more. In this fire extinguishing material, since the shortest distance from the fire extinguishing agent layer closest to the perforation to the perforation is 5 mm or more, when the fire extinguishing material is cut along the perforation, it is possible to slow the arrival of moisture that has permeated from the cut surface to the fire extinguishing agent layer. Therefore, even when a deliquescent fire extinguishing agent is used, it is possible to suppress a deterioration in the performance of the fire extinguishing agent layer over a long period of time.
[0020]
[13] The fire extinguishing material according to any one of [1] to
[12] may further comprise a plurality of substrates laminated on each of the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers. This fire extinguishing material includes a plurality of substrates laminated on each of the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers, thereby improving the ease of handling of the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers when individually sealing them in a packaging material.
[0021]
[14] The fire extinguishing material according to any one of [1] to
[12] may further comprise a substrate on which the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers are laminated. In this fire extinguishing material, the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers are laminated on the substrate, which improves the ease of handling of the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers when individually encapsulating them in a packaging material. Furthermore, it is possible to prevent the positional relationship of the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers from shifting when individually encapsulating them in a packaging material.
[0022]
[15] In the fire extinguishing material according to any one of [1] to
[14] , the packaging material may have a first film and a second film welded to the first film so as to sandwich the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers. Since the packaging material has the first film and the second film welded to the first film so as to sandwich the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers, the fire extinguishing material can be easily produced.
[0023]
[16] In the fire extinguishing material according to
[15] , the water vapor permeability of the first film and the second film is 10 g / m 2 In this fire extinguishing material, the water vapor permeability of the first film and the second film may be 10 g / m or less. 2 / day or less, even when a deliquescent fire extinguishing agent is used, deterioration in the performance of the fire extinguishing agent layer can be suppressed for a long period of time.
[0024]
[17] A fire extinguishing material roll according to the present disclosure is formed by winding the fire extinguishing material according to any one of [1] to
[16] into a roll. Since the fire extinguishing material roll is formed by winding the fire extinguishing material into a roll, the storage and handling properties of the fire extinguishing material are improved.
[0025]
[18] A method for producing a fire extinguishing material according to the present disclosure includes a fire extinguishing agent layer forming step of forming a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers each containing an extinguishing agent, and an encapsulating step of individually encapsulating the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers in a packaging material while separating the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers from one another. In this fire extinguishing material producing method, by forming a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers each containing an extinguishing agent and encapsulating the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers in a packaging material while separating the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers from one another, a fire extinguishing material that can respond to multi-stage fires can be produced.
[0026]
[19] In the method for producing a fire extinguishing material according to
[18] , the fire extinguishing layer-forming step may include applying a fire extinguishing layer-forming composition to a substrate, and then cutting the substrate and the fire extinguishing layer-forming composition. In this method for producing a fire extinguishing material, applying the fire extinguishing layer-forming composition to the substrate and cutting the fire extinguishing layer-forming composition and the substrate makes it possible to easily form multiple fire extinguishing layers.
[0027]
[20] In the method for producing a fire extinguishing material according to
[19] , the packaging material may have a first film and a second film, and in the encapsulating step, the first film and the second film may be welded together so as to sandwich a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers between them. In this method for producing a fire extinguishing material, by welding the first film and the second film together so as to sandwich the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers between them, the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers can be easily enclosed individually.
[0028]
[21] In the method for producing a fire extinguishant material according to
[18] , the fire extinguishant layer-forming step may involve intermittently applying a fire extinguishant layer-forming composition that forms a fire extinguishant layer onto a substrate, and the encapsulating step may involve encapsulating the substrate intermittently coated with the fire extinguishant layer-forming composition in a packaging material. In this method for producing a fire extinguishant material, multiple fire extinguishant layers can be formed by intermittently applying the fire extinguishant layer-forming composition onto the substrate. Then, by encapsulating the substrate intermittently coated with the fire extinguishant layer-forming composition in a packaging material, multiple fire extinguishant layers can be easily encapsulated individually.
[0029]
[22] In the method for producing a fire extinguishing material according to
[21] , the packaging material may have a first film and a second film, and in the encapsulating step, the first film and the second film may be welded together so as to sandwich the substrate intermittently coated with the composition for forming a fire extinguishing agent layer. In this method for producing a fire extinguishing material, by welding the first film and the second film together so as to sandwich the substrate intermittently coated with the composition for forming a fire extinguishing agent layer, it is possible to easily encapsulate multiple fire extinguishing agent layers individually.
[0030]
[23] The method for producing a fire extinguishing material according to any one of
[18] to
[22] may further include a winding step of winding the fire extinguishing material into a roll. In this method for producing a fire extinguishing material, a fire extinguishing material roll can be produced by winding the fire extinguishing material into a roll.
[0031] According to the present disclosure, it is possible to respond to a multi-stage fire.

[0033] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In the following description, the same or equivalent elements will be denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant description will be omitted.
[0034] [First embodiment] <Fire extinguishing material roll> Fig. 1 is a schematic perspective view showing a fire extinguishing material roll according to the first embodiment. As shown in Fig. 1, the fire extinguishing material roll 1 according to this embodiment is formed by winding a fire extinguishing material 2 in a roll shape. The fire extinguishing material roll 1 may be formed by winding the fire extinguishing material 2 around a winding core 3, for example.
[0035] <Fire Extinguishing Material> Fig. 2 is a schematic plan view showing a fire extinguishing material according to a first embodiment. Fig. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view taken along line III-III in Fig. 2. As shown in Figs. 1 to 3, a fire extinguishing material 2 according to this embodiment includes a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 arranged at a distance from one another, a plurality of substrates 5 laminated on each of the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4, and a packaging material 6 that individually encloses the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4. "Individually enclosing the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4" means that the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are individually sealed. Therefore, in the fire extinguishing material 2, each of the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 is enclosed (sealed) separately (independently) from the other fire extinguishing agent layers 4 by the packaging material 6.
[0036] (Fire extinguishing agent layer) Each of the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 (hereinafter simply referred to as "fire extinguishing agent layer 4") is formed by molding a composition (fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition) containing a fire extinguishing agent and a binder resin. Use of the binder resin makes it easier to maintain the properties of the fire extinguishing agent, thereby reducing the frequency of replacing the fire extinguishing material 2. The fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition may further contain a liquid medium in addition to the fire extinguishing agent and the binder resin.
[0037] As the fire extinguishing agent, various organic salts and inorganic salts can be used alone or in combination. Examples of organic salts include potassium salts, sodium salts, and ammonium salts. Potassium salts can be used as the organic salt. Examples of organic potassium salts include potassium carboxylates such as potassium acetate, potassium citrate (monopotassium citrate, dipotassium citrate, and tripotassium citrate), potassium tartrate, potassium lactate, potassium oxalate, and potassium maleate. Of these, potassium acetate or potassium citrate can be used from the viewpoint of their usefulness in the negative catalytic effect of combustion. Potassium citrate can be selected from monopotassium citrate, dipotassium citrate, tripotassium citrate, and the like, and their hydrates can also be used.
[0038] Examples of inorganic salts include potassium salts and sodium salts. Potassium salts can be used as the inorganic salt. Examples of inorganic potassium salts include potassium tetraborate, potassium carbonate, potassium bicarbonate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, and dipotassium hydrogen phosphate. Of these, potassium bicarbonate can be used from the viewpoint of its usefulness in the negative catalytic effect of combustion.
[0039] The extinguishing agent may contain an oxidizing compound, such as a chlorate salt, such as potassium chlorate, sodium chlorate, strontium chlorate, ammonium chlorate, or magnesium chlorate, which can generate an aerosol from the potassium salts when exposed to the heat of a fire.
[0040] Thermoplastic resins and thermosetting resins can be used as the binder resin. Examples of the thermoplastic resin include polyolefin resins such as polypropylene resins, polyethylene resins, poly(1-)butene resins, and polypentene resins, polystyrene resins, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene resins, methyl methacrylate-butadiene-styrene resins, ethylene-vinyl acetate resins, ethylene-propylene resins, polycarbonate resins, polyphenylene ether resins, acrylic resins, polyamide resins, polyvinyl chloride resins, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), and polyvinyl butyral (PVB). Examples of thermosetting resins include rubbers such as natural rubber (NR), isoprene rubber (IR), butadiene rubber (BR), 1,2-polybutadiene rubber (1,2-BR), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), chloroprene rubber (CR), nitrile rubber (NBR), butyl rubber (IIR), ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR, EPDM), chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSM), acrylic rubber (ACM, ANM), epichlorohydrin rubber (CO, ECO), multi-vulcanized rubber (T), silicone rubber (Q), fluororubber (FKM, FZ), and urethane rubber (U), as well as polyurethane resins, phenolic resins, epoxy resins, and polyvinyl ether (PMVE)-maleic anhydride resins. The binder resin may contain a curing agent component.
[0041] The fire extinguishing agent layer 4 may contain a colorant, an antioxidant, a flame retardant, an inorganic filler, etc., and from the viewpoint of property stability, may contain additives such as a surfactant, a silane coupling agent, an antiblocking agent, etc. These components can be appropriately selected depending on the composition of the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 and the type of binder resin.
[0042] The content of the extinguishing agent in the extinguishing agent layer 4 (based on the total mass of the extinguishing agent layer 4) can be 70% by mass or more and 97% by mass or less, or may be 80% by mass or more and 95% by mass or more, or 85% by mass or more and 92% by mass or less. When the content of the extinguishing agent is 70% by mass or more, excellent fire extinguishing performance can be easily achieved. When the content of the extinguishing agent is 97% by mass or less, deliquescence of the salt can be easily suppressed and a homogeneous extinguishing agent layer can be easily formed.
[0043] The thickness of the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 can be appropriately set depending on the amount of fire extinguishing agent to be blended. The thickness of the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 can be, for example, 1 mm or less, and may be 30 to 1000 μm, 100 to 500 μm, or 150 to 500 μm.
[0044] Examples of the liquid medium include organic solvents. Examples of the organic solvent include water-soluble solvents, such as alcohols such as methanol, ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, and n-propyl alcohol; ketones such as acetone and methyl ethyl ketone; glycols such as ethylene glycol and diethylene glycol; and glycol ethers such as N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP), tetrahydrofuran, and butyl cellosolve. In view of the deliquescent properties of the fire extinguishing agent, the liquid medium may be an alcohol-based solvent, specifically isopropyl alcohol.
[0045] The amount of the liquid medium may be adjusted appropriately depending on the method of use of the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition, but can be 40% by mass or more and 95% by mass or less based on the total amount of the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition.
[0046] (Substrate) Each of the multiple substrates 5 (hereinafter simply referred to as "substrate 5") is preferably a resin substrate, considering that the temperature of a flame is generally approximately 700°C to 900°C. Examples of materials for the substrate 5 include polyolefins (LLDPE, PP, COP, CPP, etc.), polyesters (PET, etc.), fluororesins (PTFE, ETFE, EFEP, PFA, FEP, PCTFE, etc.), PVC, PVA, acrylic resins, epoxy resins, polyamides, and polyimides. These resins can be perforated by heat. Furthermore, selecting a transparent material for the substrate 5 facilitates visual inspection of the fire extinguishing material 2 and confirmation of its replacement timing. The substrate 5 may contain the aforementioned fire extinguishing agent. From the viewpoint of adjusting the water vapor permeability, the substrate 5 may be provided with a vapor deposition layer (alumina vapor deposition layer or silica vapor deposition layer) having water vapor barrier properties.
[0047] The thickness and breaking strength of the substrate 5 can be appropriately selected depending on the amount of heat, impact, allowable space, etc., at the time of fire outbreak. For example, a thick substrate 5 can provide strength and rigidity, achieve a highly flat form, and facilitate handling. Furthermore, a thin substrate 5 allows the fire extinguishing material 2 to be provided in a narrow space and, since a hole is formed in a short time, the time to start extinguishing the fire can be shortened. The thickness of the substrate can be, for example, 4.5 μm or more and 100 μm or less, or may be 12 μm or more and 50 μm or less. The substrate 5 may be a laminate of multiple substrates. The substrate 5 and the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 may be bonded by an adhesive layer.
[0048] (Packaging Material) The packaging material 6 is composed of an encapsulating film that individually encapsulates multiple fire extinguishing agent layers 4. The packaging material 6 is formed in a long (tape-like) shape. The direction in which the packaging material 6 extends in a long shape is called the longitudinal direction D1, and the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction D1 is called the width direction D2. The packaging material 6 extends in a sheet shape along the longitudinal direction D1 and the width direction D2.
[0049] The packaging material 6 has a first film 7 and a second film 8. The first film 7 and the second film 8 are welded to each other so as to sandwich the multiple fire extinguishing agent layers 4 and the multiple substrates 5. That is, the first film 7 is arranged on the multiple fire extinguishing agent layer 4 side of the multiple substrates 5 and is welded to the multiple fire extinguishing agent layers 4. The second film 8 is arranged on the multiple substrates 5 side of the multiple fire extinguishing agent layers 4 and is welded to the multiple substrates 5. The first film 7 and the second film 8 are welded to each other between the multiple fire extinguishing agent layers 4 (between the multiple substrates 5) and outside the multiple fire extinguishing agent layers 4 (outside the multiple substrates 5). In this way, the packaging material 6 individually encapsulates the multiple fire extinguishing agent layers 4.
[0050] Any resin film can be used as the first film 7 and the second film 8. Examples of resins used for the first film 7 and the second film 8 include polyolefin resin, polyester resin, fluororesin, vinyl resin, acrylic resin, epoxy resin, polyamide, polyimide, urethane resin, styrene-based resin, polycarbonate, ketone resin, sulfone-based resin, and cellulose-based resin.
[0051] The first film 7 and the second film 8 preferably have water vapor barrier properties, and the water vapor permeability (based on JIS K 7129 under conditions of 40°C / 90% RH) is 10 g / m 2 / day or less, and 2 / day or less. From the viewpoint of adjusting the water vapor permeability, examples of the first film 7 and the second film 8 having water vapor barrier properties include a polyester resin layer (e.g., a PET layer) provided with an inorganic metal oxide vapor-deposited layer such as an alumina vapor-deposited layer or a silica vapor-deposited layer, and a metal foil such as aluminum foil. When the water vapor barrier layer includes a metal oxide vapor-deposited layer, the metal oxide vapor-deposited layer may face the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 side.
[0052] The packaging material 6 individually encloses a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 so that the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are arranged in the longitudinal direction D1 and the width direction D2. That is, the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are arranged in the longitudinal direction D1 and the width direction D2 so as to form a lattice (checkerboard) pattern. The number of arrangements of the fire extinguishing agent layers 4 in the longitudinal direction D1 and the width direction D2 is not particularly limited.
[0053] From the viewpoint of preventing the adjacent extinguishing agent layers 4 from reacting with each other and preventing the performance of the extinguishing agent layers 4 from deteriorating over a long period of time, the packaging material 6 may individually enclose a plurality of extinguishing agent layers 4 so that the shortest distance d1 between adjacent extinguishing agent layers 4 is 10 mm or more. That is, the shortest distance d1 between adjacent extinguishing agent layers 4 can be 10 mm or more. The shortest distance d1 between adjacent extinguishing agent layers 4 may also be 20 mm or more.
[0054] Furthermore, from the viewpoint of suppressing deterioration in the performance of the extinguishing agent layers over a long period of time, the packaging material 6 may individually enclose the plurality of extinguishing agent layers 4 so that the shortest distance d2 from the plurality of extinguishing agent layers 4 to the edge 6a of the packaging material 6 is 5 mm or more. In other words, the shortest distance d2 from the plurality of extinguishing agent layers 4 to the edge 6a of the packaging material 6 may be 5 mm or more. The shortest distance d2 from the plurality of extinguishing agent layers 4 to the edge 6a of the packaging material 6 may also be 10 mm or more.
[0055] <Method for manufacturing fire extinguishing material> Next, a method for manufacturing the fire extinguishing material 2 will be described. The method for manufacturing the fire extinguishing material 2 includes a fire extinguishing agent layer forming step of forming a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 containing a fire extinguishing agent, and an encapsulating step of spacing the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 from one another and individually encapsulating the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 in the packaging material 6. The method for manufacturing the fire extinguishing material 2 may also include a winding step of winding the fire extinguishing material 2, in which the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are individually encapsulated in the packaging material 6, into a roll.
[0056] 4(a), 4(b), and 4(c) are schematic cross-sectional views illustrating the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming step. As shown in FIG. 4(a), in the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming step, a fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a that forms the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 is applied to a substrate 5a. The fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a can be applied, for example, by a wet coating method. Examples of wet coating methods include comma coating, dip coating, curtain coating, spin coating, and sponge roll coating. After the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a is applied to the substrate 5a, the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a is dried. The drying temperature for the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a is not particularly limited, but can be, for example, 60 to 100°C. After the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a is dried, the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a and the substrate 5a are cut into a desired shape to form multiple sheets, as shown in FIGS. 4(b) and 4(c). The fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a and the substrate 5a can be cut by, for example, slitting, cutting, or punching, thereby forming a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 laminated on a plurality of substrates 5.
[0057] Fig. 5 is a schematic cross-sectional view illustrating the encapsulation step. As shown in Fig. 5, in the encapsulation step, the first film 7 and the second film 8 are fused together so that the plurality of extinguishing agent layers 4 are sandwiched between them while the plurality of extinguishing agent layers 4 are spaced apart from one another. This fusion can be performed, for example, by using a roll-to-roll laminator or the like to sandwich the plurality of extinguishing agent layers 4 between the first film 7 and the second film 8 from both the plurality of extinguishing agent layer 4 side and the plurality of substrates 5 side, and then fusing the first film 7 and the second film 8 by a method such as thermocompression bonding. This results in the formation of a fire extinguishing material 2 in which the plurality of extinguishing agent layers 4 are spaced apart from one another and the plurality of extinguishing agent layers 4 are individually encapsulated in the packaging material 6.
[0058] In the winding step, the fire extinguishing material 2 is wound around the winding core 3 using the roll-to-roll laminator or the like used in the encapsulating step. In this way, the fire extinguishing material roll 1 is formed.
[0059] As described above, in the fire extinguishing material 2 according to this embodiment, the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 arranged at a distance from one another are individually enclosed in the packaging material 6, and therefore, it is possible to prevent a chain reaction of the fire extinguishing agents between the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4. In other words, even if one fire extinguishing agent layer 4 reacts and is consumed, the other fire extinguishing agent layers 4 can remain unreacted. Furthermore, even if a portion of the packaging material 6 enclosing one fire extinguishing agent layer 4 dissolves and forms a hole, the other fire extinguishing agent layers 4 can remain enclosed in the packaging material 6. This allows the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 to react in multiple stages, making it possible to respond to multistage fires. In other words, fires can be extinguished in multiple stages.
[0060] Furthermore, in the fire extinguishing material 2, the fire extinguishing agent contains at least one of an organic salt and an inorganic salt, so that appropriate fire extinguishing performance can be obtained.
[0061] Furthermore, since the fire extinguishing agent of this fire extinguishing material 2 contains a compound having an oxidizing effect, it is possible to generate an aerosol by receiving the thermal energy of a fire.
[0062] Furthermore, since the fire extinguishing material 2 contains potassium citrate and potassium chlorate as its fire extinguishing agent, it can provide appropriate fire extinguishing performance.
[0063] Furthermore, in this fire extinguishing material 2, since the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 contains a binder, the properties of the fire extinguishing agent are easily maintained, and the frequency of replacement of the fire extinguishing material 2 can be reduced.
[0064] Furthermore, in this fire extinguishing material 2, the content of the fire extinguishing agent in the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 is 70% by mass or more, 80% by mass or more, or 85% by mass or more, so that excellent fire extinguishing performance can be easily achieved. Furthermore, the content of the fire extinguishing agent in the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 is 97% by mass or less, 95% by mass or less, or 92% by mass or less, so that deliquescence of the fire extinguishing agent can be easily suppressed and a homogeneous fire extinguishing agent layer 4 can be easily formed.
[0065] Furthermore, in this fire extinguishing material 2, a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are arranged in the longitudinal direction D1 of the packaging material 6, and therefore it is possible to respond to a multi-stage fire in the longitudinal direction D1 of the packaging material 6. Furthermore, since the fire extinguishing material 2 can be cut so as to be divided in the longitudinal direction D1 for use, the fire extinguishing material 2 can be formed into various shapes, and the degree of freedom in installation is also improved.
[0066] Furthermore, in this fire extinguishing material 2, the fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are also arranged in the width direction D2 of the packaging material 6, so that it can respond to multi-stage fires in the width direction D2 of the packaging material 6. Furthermore, since the fire extinguishing material 2 can be cut so as to be divided in the width direction D2 for use, the fire extinguishing material 2 can be formed into various shapes, and the degree of freedom in installation is also improved.
[0067] Furthermore, in this fire extinguishing material 2, the shortest distance d1 between adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers 4 is 10 mm or more or 20 mm or more, so that it is possible to suppress reaction between adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers 4. Furthermore, when the fire extinguishing material 2 is cut between adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers 4, it is possible to delay the arrival of moisture that has permeated from the cut surface to the fire extinguishing agent layer 4. In particular, by cutting the fire extinguishing material 2 in the center between adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers 4, it is possible to set the distance from the cut surface to the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 to 5 mm or more or 10 mm or more, so that it is possible to further delay the arrival of moisture that has permeated from the cut surface to the fire extinguishing agent layer 4. Therefore, even when a deliquescent fire extinguishing agent is used, it is possible to suppress deterioration in the performance of the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 over a long period of time.
[0068] Furthermore, in this fire extinguishing material 2, the shortest distance d2 from the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 to the edge 6a of the packaging material 6 is 5 mm or more or 10 mm or more, so that moisture that has permeated from the edge 6a of the packaging material 6 is less likely to reach the fire extinguishing agent layers 4. Therefore, even when a deliquescent fire extinguishing agent is used, deterioration in the performance of the fire extinguishing agent layers 4 can be suppressed over a long period of time.
[0069] Furthermore, since this fire extinguishing material 2 has a plurality of base materials 5 laminated on each of the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4, the handleability of the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 is improved when the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are individually enclosed in the packaging material 6.
[0070] Furthermore, in this fire extinguishing material 2, the packaging material 6 has a first film 7 and a second film 8 welded to the first film 7 so as to sandwich the multiple fire extinguishing agent layers 4, so that the fire extinguishing material 2 can be easily manufactured.
[0071] In addition, in this fire extinguishing material 2, the water vapor permeability of the first film 7 and the second film 8 is 10 g / m 2 / day or less or 1g / m 2 / day or less, even when a deliquescent fire extinguishing agent is used, deterioration in the performance of the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 can be suppressed for a long period of time.
[0072] In the fire extinguishing material roll 1 according to this embodiment, the above-mentioned fire extinguishing material 2 is wound into a roll, and therefore the storage and handling properties of the fire extinguishing material 2 are improved.
[0073] In the method for producing a fire extinguishing material according to this embodiment, a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 containing a fire extinguishing agent are formed, and the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are spaced apart from one another and individually enclosed in a packaging material 6, thereby producing a fire extinguishing material 2 that can respond to multi-stage fires.
[0074] Furthermore, in this method for manufacturing a fire extinguishing material, a plurality of fire extinguishing layers 4 can be easily formed by applying the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a onto the substrate 5a and cutting the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a and the substrate 5a.
[0075] Furthermore, in this method for manufacturing the fire extinguishing material, the first film 7 and the second film 8 are welded together so that the first film 7 and the second film 8 sandwich the multiple fire extinguishing agent layers 4, making it possible to easily encapsulate the multiple fire extinguishing agent layers 4 individually.
[0076] In addition, in this method for producing a fire extinguishing material, the fire extinguishing material roll 1 can be produced by winding the fire extinguishing material 2 into a roll.
[0077] [Second embodiment] Next, a second embodiment will be described. The second embodiment is basically the same as the first embodiment, and differs from the first embodiment only in a part of the structure of the fire extinguishing material and a part of the manufacturing method of the fire extinguishing material. Therefore, only the differences from the first embodiment will be described below, and a description of the same matters as the first embodiment will be omitted.
[0078] <Fire Extinguishing Material> Fig. 6 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a fire extinguishing material according to a second embodiment. As shown in Fig. 6, a fire extinguishing material 2A according to this embodiment includes a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 arranged at a distance from one another, a substrate 5A laminated on the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4, and a packaging material 6 that individually encloses the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4. That is, in the fire extinguishing material 2A, a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are laminated on a single substrate 5A, and the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are maintained in a state of being spaced from one another on the single substrate 5A.
[0079] <Method for manufacturing fire extinguishing material> Next, a method for manufacturing the fire extinguishing material 2A will be described. The method for manufacturing the fire extinguishing material 2A includes a fire extinguishing agent layer forming step of forming a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 containing a fire extinguishing agent, and an encapsulating step of spacing the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 from one another and individually encapsulating the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 in the packaging material 6. The method for manufacturing the fire extinguishing material 2A may also include a winding step of winding the fire extinguishing material 2A, in which the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are individually encapsulated in the packaging material 6, into a roll.
[0080] FIG. 7 is a schematic cross-sectional view illustrating the fire extinguishant layer-forming step. As shown in FIG. 7, in the fire extinguishant layer-forming step, a fire extinguishant layer-forming composition 4a that forms a fire extinguishant layer 4 is intermittently applied to a substrate 5A. Intermittent application of the fire extinguishant layer-forming composition 4a can be performed, for example, by controlling the application port using a die coater, intermittent operation of a die coater to feed the liquid, gravure printing, screen printing, or the like. After intermittently applying the fire extinguishant layer-forming composition 4a to the substrate 5A, the fire extinguishant layer-forming composition 4a is dried. The drying temperature for the fire extinguishant layer-forming composition 4a is not particularly limited, but can be, for example, 60 to 100°C. As a result, a plurality of fire extinguishant layers 4 of any shape that are spaced apart from one another are formed on the substrate 5A.
[0081] Fig. 8 is a schematic cross-sectional view illustrating the encapsulation step. As shown in Fig. 8, in the encapsulation step, a substrate 5A intermittently coated with a fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a is encapsulated in a packaging material 6. That is, a first film 7 and a second film 8 are welded together so that the substrate 5A intermittently coated with a fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a 4b is sandwiched between the first film 7 and the second film 8. This welding can be performed, for example, using a roll-to-roll laminator or the like to sandwich the multiple fire extinguishing agent layers 4 and the substrate 5A between the first film 7 and the second film 8 from both the multiple fire extinguishing agent layer 4 side and the substrate 5A side, and then welding the first film 7 and the second film 8 together by a method such as thermocompression bonding. As a result, the multiple fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are spaced from one another, and a fire extinguishing material 2A in which the multiple fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are individually encapsulated in the packaging material 6 is formed.
[0082] As described above, in the fire extinguishing material 2A according to this embodiment, the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are laminated on the base material 5A, which improves the ease of handling of the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 when the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are individually enclosed in the packaging material 6. Furthermore, when the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are individually enclosed in the packaging material 6, it is possible to prevent the positional relationship of the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 from shifting.
[0083] In the method for producing a fire extinguishing material according to this embodiment, the fire extinguishing layer-forming composition 4a is intermittently applied to the substrate 5A, thereby forming a plurality of fire extinguishing layer 4. Then, the substrate 5A intermittently coated with the fire extinguishing layer-forming composition 4a is enclosed in a packaging material 6, whereby the plurality of fire extinguishing layer 4 can be easily enclosed individually.
[0084] Furthermore, in this method for manufacturing a fire extinguishing material, the first film 7 and the second film 8 are welded together so as to sandwich the substrate 5A, to which the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a has been intermittently coated, thereby easily encapsulating multiple fire extinguishing agent layers 4 individually.
[0085] [Third Embodiment] Next, a third embodiment will be described. The third embodiment is basically the same as the first embodiment, and differs from the first embodiment only in a part of the structure of the fire extinguishing material and a part of the manufacturing method of the fire extinguishing material. Therefore, only the differences from the first embodiment will be described below, and a description of the same things as in the first embodiment will be omitted.
[0086] <Fire Extinguishing Material> Fig. 9 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a fire extinguishing material according to a third embodiment. As shown in Fig. 9, a fire extinguishing material 2B according to this embodiment includes a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 arranged at a distance from one another, and a packaging material 6 that individually encloses the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4. That is, in the fire extinguishing material 2B, no substrate is provided, and the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are directly enclosed in the packaging material 6.
[0087] <Method of Manufacturing Fire Extinguisher> Fig. 10 is a schematic cross-sectional view illustrating the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming step. As shown in Fig. 10, in the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming step, a fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a that forms the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 is intermittently coated onto the second film 8. Intermittent coating of the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a can be performed, for example, by controlling the coating port using a die coater, intermittent operation of liquid delivery using a die coater, gravure printing, screen printing, or the like. After intermittently coating the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a onto the second film 8, the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a is dried. The drying temperature for the fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a is not particularly limited, but can be, for example, 60 to 100°C. As a result, a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 of any shape that are spaced apart from one another are formed on the second film 8.
[0088] Fig. 11 is a schematic cross-sectional view illustrating the encapsulation step. As shown in Fig. 11 , in the encapsulation step, a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are individually encapsulated between a first film 7 and a second film 8 to which a fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition 4a has been intermittently applied. That is, the first film 7 and the second film 8 are welded together so that the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 formed on the second film 8 are sandwiched between the first film 7 and the second film 8. This welding can be performed, for example, by using a roll-to-roll laminator or the like to overlap the first film 7 on the surface of the second film 8 that faces the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4, and then welding the first film 7 and the second film 8 together by a method such as thermocompression bonding. This results in a fire extinguishing material 2B in which the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 are spaced from one another and individually encapsulated by the packaging material 6.
[0089] [Fourth embodiment] Next, a fourth embodiment will be described. The fourth embodiment is basically the same as the first embodiment, and differs from the first embodiment only in that perforations are formed in the fire extinguishing material. Therefore, only the differences from the first embodiment will be described below, and a description of the same aspects as the first embodiment will be omitted.
[0090] <Fire Extinguishing Material> Fig. 12 is a schematic plan view of a fire extinguishing material according to a fourth embodiment. As shown in Fig. 12, a fire extinguishing material 2C according to this embodiment includes a plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4 arranged at a distance from one another, a plurality of substrates 5 (see Fig. 3) laminated on each of the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4, and a packaging material 6C that individually encloses the plurality of fire extinguishing agent layers 4. The packaging material 6C has perforations 9C formed between adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers 4. The perforations 9C are cut lines that intermittently cut the packaging material 6C and serve as auxiliary lines when cutting the fire extinguishing material 2C. The perforations 9C are formed so as to pass through the centers of adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers 4. The shortest distance d3 from the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 closest to the perforation 9C to the perforation 9C can be, for example, 5 mm or more, and may be 10 mm or more.
[0091] The perforations 9C may be formed between all adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers 4, or may be formed between some of adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers 4. The packaging material 6C may have one or more perforations 9C extending in the longitudinal direction D1, one or more perforations 9C extending in the width direction D2, or both. When the perforations are applied to the fire extinguishing material 2A of the second embodiment, the perforations may be formed not only in the packaging material 6 but also in the substrate 5A.
[0092] When producing the fire extinguishing material 2C, for example, the perforations 9C can be formed in the packaging material 6C after the fire extinguishing agent layer forming step and the encapsulating step and before the winding step.
[0093] As described above, in the fire extinguishing material 2C of this embodiment, the packaging material 6C has perforations 9C formed between adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers 4, making it easier to cut the fire extinguishing material 2C between adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers 4.
[0094] Furthermore, since the shortest distance d3 from the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 closest to the perforation 9C to the perforation 9C is 5 mm or more or 10 mm or more, when the fire extinguishing material 2C is cut along the perforation 9C, it is possible to slow down the arrival of moisture that has permeated from the cut surface to the fire extinguishing agent layer 4. Therefore, even when a deliquescent fire extinguishing agent is used, it is possible to suppress deterioration in the performance of the fire extinguishing agent layer 4 over a long period of time.
[0095] The above describes the embodiments of the present disclosure, but the present disclosure is not limited to the above embodiments and may be modified or applied to other things within the scope that does not change the gist of the claims.
[0096] For example, in the above embodiment, the plurality of extinguishing agent layers are described as being arranged in both the longitudinal direction D1 and the width direction D2, but the arrangement of the plurality of extinguishing agent layers is not particularly limited. For example, as in a fire extinguishing material 2D shown in Fig. 13, a plurality of extinguishing agent layers 4D may be arranged only in the longitudinal direction D1. Furthermore, as in a fire extinguishing material 2E shown in Fig. 14, a plurality of extinguishing agent layers 4E may be arranged in a staggered pattern. Figs. 13 and 14 are schematic plan views of modified fire extinguishing materials.
[0097] In the above embodiment, the fire extinguishing agent layer is formed in a rectangular shape. However, the shape of the fire extinguishing agent layer is not particularly limited. For example, as in the fire extinguishing material 2E shown in FIG. 14, the fire extinguishing agent layer 4E may be formed in a circular shape.
[0098] The present disclosure will be explained in more detail by the following examples, but the present disclosure is not limited to these examples.
[0099] Example 1 (Fire Extinguishing Agent Layer) A fire extinguishing agent was prepared by crushing potassium chlorate and tripotassium citrate in an agate mortar to an average particle size D50 of 12 μm or less. This fire extinguishing agent was mixed with various materials in the following blending ratios to obtain a composition for forming a fire extinguishing agent layer. Fire extinguishing agent component: 87 parts by mass of a mixture of potassium chlorate and tripotassium citrate Binder resin: 81 parts by mass of a polyvinyl butyral resin solution (a solution obtained by dissolving 11 parts by mass of polyvinyl butyral resin in 80 parts by mass of ethanol and 9 parts by mass of isopropyl alcohol) Silane coupling agent: X-12-1287A (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.) 4 parts by mass Liquid medium: 87 parts by mass of ethanol
[0100] The composition for forming a fire extinguishing agent layer was coated on the entire surface of one side of a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate (product name: E7002, manufactured by Toyobo Co., Ltd., thickness: 50 μm) using a comma coater so that the dry film thickness would be 150 μm, and then processed into a sheet of 85 mm × 128 mm using a slitter and a cutter.
[0101] (Encapsulating film) Epoxy-urethane synthetic adhesives AD-393 and CAT-EP5 manufactured by Toyo Ink Mfg. Co., Ltd., and isopropyl alcohol as a dilution solvent were prepared, and these were mixed in a blending ratio of 15:1:25.7, and then stirred for 1 minute to produce a dry laminating adhesive with a solids content of 20% by mass.
[0102] The above adhesive for dry lamination was applied to the vapor deposition layer side of GL-RD (alumina vapor deposition polyester film manufactured by Toppan Printing Co., Ltd.) using a dry laminator, and dried in a drying oven set at 80°C to a dry coating amount of 2 g / m 2Subsequently, the corona-treated surface of a non-oriented polypropylene film MC-S (manufactured by Mitsui Chemicals Tohcello Inc., thickness 30 μm) was attached to the GL-ARH film from the second paper feed of the dry laminator to prepare an encapsulation film.
[0103] (Encapsulation of Fire Extinguishing Agent Layer) The front and back fire extinguishing agent layer encapsulating films were set on the unwinding section of a laminator (TAISEI LAMINATOR CO., LTD. VA-900 equipped with a roll winding device), and the sheet-shaped substrates coated with the extinguishing agent layer were arranged with a gap of 10 mm between them, and laminated with the encapsulating film under the following conditions, followed by thermocompression lamination to obtain a fire extinguishing material. Laminating roll temperature: 120°C, nip pressure: 0.3 MPa, conveying speed: 3 m / min, encapsulating film unwinding tension: 6.5 N / 100 mm, winding tension: 14 N / 100 mm
[0104] The laminated fire extinguishing material was wound into a roll to obtain a fire extinguishing material roll of Example 1.
[0105] Example 2 Perforations were made using a rotary blade on the fire extinguishing material roll of Example 1. The perforations were formed at positions passing through the center between adjacent fire extinguishing agent layers, with a cut portion 2.7 mm deep and an uncut portion 1 mm deep.
[0106] Example 3 The fire extinguishing agent layer-forming composition of Example 1 was applied to one side of a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate (product name: E7002, manufactured by Toyobo Co., Ltd., thickness: 50 μm) by controlling the coating port with a die coater and using intermittent operation of the liquid feeder, so as to form a fire extinguishing agent layer pattern of 85 mm × 128 mm. The dry coating amount was the same as in Example 1. The pattern was formed so that the uncoated portion around the periphery of the fire extinguishing agent layer was 10 mm wide.
[0107] The fire extinguishing material roll of Example 3 was produced by overlapping the substrate on which the fire extinguishing agent layer was pattern-coated with the front and back films for encapsulating the fire extinguishing agent layer and laminating them using a laminator in the same manner as in Example 1, except that the laminating roll temperature was set to 180°C.
[0108] Example 4 A fire extinguishing material roll of Example 4 was produced in the same manner as in Example 3, except that intermittent coating was performed directly on a film for enclosing a fire extinguishing agent instead of on a substrate.
[0109] Example 5 A fire extinguishing material roll of Example 5 was produced in the same manner as in Example 1, except that the substrates coated with the extinguishing agent layer processed into sheet form were arranged with a gap of 2 mm between them.
[0110] Example 6 A fire extinguishing material roll of Example 6 was produced in the same manner as in Example 1, except that the substrates coated with the extinguishing agent layer processed into sheet form were arranged with a gap of 4 mm between them.
[0111] Example 7 A fire extinguishing material roll of Example 7 was produced in the same manner as in Example 1, except that the substrates coated with the extinguishing agent layer processed into sheet form were arranged with a gap of 8 mm between them.
[0112] Example 8 A fire extinguishing material roll of Example 8 was produced in the same manner as in Example 1, except that the substrates coated with the extinguishing agent layer processed into sheet form were arranged with a gap of 20 mm between them.
[0113] <Comparative Example 1> The substrate coated with the extinguishing agent layer processed into a sheet form in Example 1 was not enclosed in an encapsulating film, and the extinguishing agent layer was left exposed, to form a fire extinguishing material roll in Comparative Example 1.
[0114] <Evaluation of Property Stability> For the fire extinguishing material rolls of Examples 1 to 8 and Comparative Example 1, evaluation samples in which an 85 mm x 128 mm fire extinguishing agent layer was enclosed in an encapsulation film on all four sides were cut from the fire extinguishing material rolls and stored at 85°C / 85% RH for 7 days. The evaluation samples were then stored stationary for 7 days, and the change in total light transmittance Δ was calculated from the difference in total light transmittance of the fire extinguishing agent layer before and after storage. A haze meter (BYK-Gardner Haze-Guard Plus, manufactured by BYK Corporation) was used to measure the total light transmittance. The measurement was performed with the fire extinguishing agent layer fixed so that light entering the integrating sphere from the light source passed through the fire extinguishing agent layer. When moisture absorption (deliquescence) occurs and property stability decreases, the transparency of the fire extinguishing material increases. Therefore, the degree of deliquescence, i.e., property stability, was evaluated by checking this change Δ. Evaluation was performed based on the following criteria. The evaluation results are shown in Table 1. Change Δ = Total light transmittance value after storage - Total light transmittance value before storage A: Change Δ is less than 70 B: Change Δ is less than 70, but transparency was observed at the edge of the fire extinguishing agent layer C: Change Δ is 70 or more
[0115]
[0116] The fire extinguishing material rolls of Examples 1 to 8 and Comparative Example 1 could all be used by cutting out the fire extinguishing agent layer to any size. The fire extinguishing materials of Examples 1 to 8 were all rated A or B, but the fire extinguishing materials of Examples 1 to 4 and 8 had wide spacing between the multiple fire extinguishing agent layers of 10 mm or more. Therefore, when the fire extinguishing material was cut out, the width over which the encapsulating films adhered to each other was wide, making it difficult for water to penetrate under high temperature and high humidity conditions, resulting in particularly excellent property stability. On the other hand, in Comparative Example 1, deliquescence progressed because the extinguishing agent was not encapsulated in the encapsulating film, resulting in significantly poor property stability.
