[0036] With the continuous development of technology, the functions of electronic devices are becoming increasingly diverse. Since users frequently come into contact with electronic devices during use, which may be contaminated with bacteria, antibacterial treatment is required for the safety of users.

[0037] In particular, with the popularity of touch screens, users often need to click, slide, and perform other operations on the screens of electronic devices, which makes the screens more susceptible to bacteria. If there are too many bacteria on the screens, it will affect the health of users.

[0038] Referring to Figure 1 , electronic device 100 includes a body 10 and a display 20. The body is the main component of the electronic device, including control circuitry, various sensors, a battery, an antenna, a housing, and other hardware. In some embodiments, the electronic device may be a smartphone, a smart tablet, a laptop computer, a smart screen, or the like, without any limitation herein.

[0039] Taking a smartphone as an example, the smartphone's main body includes a processor, external memory interface, internal memory, charging management module, power management module, battery, antenna 1, antenna 2, RF module, communication module, audio module, speaker, receiver, microphone, headphone jack, sensor module, buttons, motor, indicator, camera, display, and SIM card interface. The sensor module may include pressure sensors, gyroscope sensors, air pressure sensors, magnetic sensors, acceleration sensors, distance sensors, proximity sensors, fingerprint sensors, temperature sensors, touch sensors, ambient light sensors, and bone conduction sensors. The actual number and types of sensors may vary based on different manufacturers' costs and application scenarios.

[0040] The display screen 20 is located on one side of the body 10. The back cover (housing) and the display screen 20 encapsulate the hardware of the electronic device 100. The display screen 20 is the primary interface of the electronic device 100, used to present various information such as text, images, and videos to the user in a visual form. In some embodiments, the display screen 20 is a touch screen display and can also be used to input commands, such as by clicking virtual buttons or using gestures.

[0041] In some embodiments, referring to FIG2 , display screen 20 includes a substrate layer 21, a light-transmitting layer 22, a sensing layer 23, a display layer 24, a backlight layer 25, and a glass panel 26, which are stacked sequentially from the inside to the outside. It should be understood that "from the inside to the outside" here refers to the interior to the exterior surface of electronic device 100.

[0042] The base layer 21 is the base material layer of the display screen 20, used to support the functional layers above. The light-transmitting layer 22 is located above the base layer, allowing light to pass through and be transmitted to other layers. The sensing layer 23 is used to recognize user touch input. The display layer 24 is used to display images and content, and can be a liquid crystal display (LCD) or an organic light-emitting diode (OLED). The backlight layer 25 is located above the display layer 24 and is used to provide background lighting to enable images to be displayed on the display screen 20. The glass panel 26 is the outermost layer of the display screen 20, used to protect the display screen 20 from scratches, dirt, and other damage.

[0043] It is understood that the glass panel 26 often comes into direct contact with the user's fingers. For example, when the user clicks, slides, or types text on the glass panel 26, its surface is more susceptible to bacterial contamination. Furthermore, the glass panel 26 is in direct contact with the external environment, and the electronic device 100 may be placed haphazardly, making its surface more susceptible to bacterial contamination. Therefore, an antibacterial glass is needed for the glass panel 26. Because antibacterial glass has antibacterial properties, it can reduce bacterial colonies on the surface of the glass panel 26, thus providing the display screen 20 of the electronic device 100 with antibacterial properties.

[0044] The inventors of this application are aware of some antibacterial glasses coated with silver ions. As can be understood, silver ions can interfere with bacterial cell wall synthesis, damage bacterial cell membranes, inhibit bacterial protein synthesis, and interfere with bacterial nucleic acid synthesis. In this way, silver ions can affect bacterial growth and reproduction, ultimately killing them, ultimately achieving their antibacterial properties.

[0045] The process usually used to apply silver ion coating includes: first pre-processing the glass (pre-processing includes shape processing and cleaning, etc.), then tempering and post-processing (post-processing includes silk screen printing on the inner surface of the glass and cleaning). Finally, spray the silver ion coating, bake, clean, etc. Specifically, during spraying, the nozzle pressure is controlled to 3Mpa-7Mpa, the flow rate is 15g / min-30g / min, and the silver ion coating needs to be baked for 30min-60min. The main materials of the silver ion coating include: fluoride: 2%-5%, polytetrafluoroethylene: 5%-10%, silica: 60%-70%, alkyd resin 10%-20%, and silver ions 1%-3%.

[0046] However, these antimicrobial glasses offer suboptimal antimicrobial effects, lack durability, and exhibit poor wear resistance. Users frequently tap and swipe on touchscreens, causing the silver ion coating to flake off over time, depleting the electronic device's antimicrobial properties.

[0047] Other embodiments of the present application provide a method for preparing antibacterial glass, which comprises spraying a coating including an antibacterial component on the first surface of a glass body, wherein the antibacterial component has a hydrophobic group; after the spraying is completed, the glass body is tempered to sinter the antibacterial component on the first surface of the glass body to form an antibacterial layer, thereby obtaining antibacterial glass.

[0048] In this embodiment, because the antimicrobial component contains hydrophobic groups, when the antimicrobial layer of the glass comes into contact with bacteria, the hydrophobic groups can penetrate into the bacterial lipid layer, altering the permeability of the bacterial cell membrane, disrupting the cell membrane structure, and affecting bacterial metabolism, thereby killing the bacteria and achieving a sterilizing and antibacterial effect. Furthermore, the antimicrobial component is tempered and sintered onto the glass body to form an antimicrobial layer, resulting in high adhesion of the antimicrobial layer. This results in excellent wear resistance and long-lasting antimicrobial properties for the antimicrobial glass. Furthermore, the simultaneous sintering of the antimicrobial component during the tempering process to form the antimicrobial layer simplifies the process and reduces costs.

[0049] The following describes a method for preparing antibacterial glass provided by some embodiments of the present application. Referring to FIG. 3 , the method S100 includes but is not limited to the following steps:

[0050] S20: spraying a coating including an antibacterial component on the first surface of the glass body, where the antibacterial component has a hydrophobic group.

[0051] The glass body is a transparent sheet material with a certain strength. The glass body is typically formed by melting an amorphous silicate material at high temperature and then rapidly cooling it. In some embodiments, the glass body can be tempered glass or flexible glass. It is understood that when the glass body is flexible glass, it can be used to manufacture flexible displays.

[0052] As the outermost layer of the display screen, the glass body requires high transparency to ensure clear images and content. Furthermore, the glass body should possess sufficient hardness, strength, impact resistance, and transmittance. It is understood that those skilled in the art can select or manufacture a glass body that meets the required performance requirements based on actual product needs. This document does not impose any limitations on the glass body.

[0053] It's understood that since the glass body is a sheet, it has two opposing surfaces (side A and side B), with the surface along the thickness direction being negligible. The first surface of the glass body is any one of its two opposing surfaces. When side A is the first surface, side B is the second surface; conversely, when side B is the first surface, side A is the second surface. In practical applications, the first surface is the side of the glass body that faces away from the other layers of the display. In other words, the first surface is the outer surface of the display, frequently in contact with the user or the external environment.

[0054] Therefore, the first surface needs to be treated with an antimicrobial agent to impart antimicrobial properties to the glass body. In this embodiment, a coating comprising an antimicrobial component is sprayed onto the first surface of the glass body. The antimicrobial component has a hydrophobic group. The antimicrobial mechanism of the antimicrobial component is that the hydrophobic group inserts into the lipid layer of bacteria, altering the permeability of the bacterial cell membrane, disrupting the cell membrane structure, and affecting bacterial metabolism, thereby killing the bacteria and achieving a sterilizing and antibacterial effect.

[0055] After the solvent in the coating evaporates, the antibacterial component is dried and fixed on the first surface of the glass body, thereby making the first surface of the glass body have antibacterial properties. The specific drying and fixing method will be described in the subsequent step S40 and will not be described in detail here.

[0056] In some embodiments, the antimicrobial component includes a quaternary ammonium compound. It is understood that quaternary ammonium compounds are organic compounds containing quaternary ammonium ions, which are cations with three alkyl or aromatic groups attached to a nitrogen atom. These alkyl or aromatic groups are typically hydrocarbon chains, which have hydrophobic properties and are classified as hydrophobic groups.

[0057] In some achievable embodiments, the quaternary ammonium salt compound includes hexadecyltrimethylammonium chloride, benzyltrimethylammonium chloride, octyltrimethylammonium chloride, behenyltrimethylammonium chloride or octadecyldimethylammonium chloride. Those skilled in the art can select a suitable quaternary ammonium salt compound according to actual conditions.

[0058] Most quaternary ammonium compounds are solid crystals at room temperature and can be dissolved in a solvent under appropriate conditions to form a coating. To facilitate coating, the quaternary ammonium compound is dissolved in a solvent to form a coating. The coating is sprayed onto the first surface of the glass body so that after subsequent solvent evaporation, the quaternary ammonium compound (antimicrobial component) dries to form an antimicrobial layer.

[0059] In some embodiments, the solvent used in the coating is a quick-drying solvent. The volatile components in quick-drying solvents evaporate rapidly from the coating surface, causing the coating to dry quickly. This helps reduce the drying time of the coating during the coating process, improving production efficiency. Furthermore, the quick-drying solvent's ability to evaporate quickly from the coating surface reduces the chance of adhesion of external dust, impurities, etc., helping to prevent contamination or damage to the coating. It also reduces disturbances in the coating during the drying process, reducing surface irregularities and the generation of bubbles, thereby improving the smoothness and quality of the coating.

[0060] For example, the quick-drying solvent may include propylene glycol methyl ether. Propylene glycol methyl ether is an organic solvent with a certain volatility, which enables it to act as a quick-drying solvent in the coating, helping the coating to dry quickly after coating.

[0061] In this embodiment, since the quick-drying solvent in the coating can evaporate quickly, the coating can solidify into particles in a short time (for example, within 1 minute) after leveling, that is, it can be quickly shaped, which is conducive to subsequent rapid drying and fixing through tempering treatment, thereby improving production efficiency, avoiding coating contamination, and improving the surface quality of the coating.

[0062] In some embodiments, the coating also includes a crosslinking agent that helps form a hard polymer network and improves the wear and chemical resistance of the coating. For example, the crosslinking agent can be 3-propyl trimethacrylate (TMPTA). 3-propyl trimethacrylate can also act as a diluent to adjust the viscosity and fluidity of the coating, helping to control the coating process.

[0063] In some embodiments, the coating further comprises a lubricant. The lubricant is used to improve the feel and smoothness of the surface. Exemplarily, the lubricant may comprise polysiloxane, polyvinyl alcohol, polytetrafluoroethylene, polydimethylsiloxane, or polyether.

[0064] In some embodiments, the coating further includes a small amount of acid, such as nitric acid, for cleaning the first surface of the glass body to remove an oxide layer or dirt.

[0065] It is understood that those skilled in the art may select the type and content of the quaternary ammonium salt compound, quick-drying solvent, cross-linking agent, lubricant or acid according to actual conditions.

[0066] Exemplarily, the coating includes the following components: polysiloxane: 2%-5%, 3-propyltrimethacrylate: 5%-10%, propylene glycol methyl ether: 20%-30%, water: 2%-10%, nitric acid: 0.5%-2%, and quaternary ammonium salt compound: 40%-60%.

[0067] In this embodiment, the quaternary ammonium salt compound accounts for a high proportion and is used for sterilization. Propylene glycol methyl ether accounts for a moderate proportion and is used as a fast-drying solvent. A small amount of polysiloxane is used as a lubricant to increase adhesion and impart a smooth feel to the first surface of the glass body. A small amount of nitric acid facilitates cleaning the first surface of the glass body. In other words, the coating composed of the above components can provide a coating with excellent antibacterial properties and surface quality.

[0068] In some embodiments, during the spraying process, the nozzle pressure used is 5 MPa-10 MPa, and the nozzle flow rate is 40 g / min-60 g / min.

[0069] Compared to the silver ion coating spraying process known to the inventors of this application (nozzle pressure of 3 MPa-7 MPa, nozzle flow rate of 15 g / min-30 g / min), the nozzle pressure and nozzle flow rate used in the embodiment of the present application are both higher, roughly twice that of the known solution. The higher nozzle pressure and nozzle flow rate allow a large amount of antibacterial component (such as quaternary ammonium salt compound) to quickly cover the first surface of the glass body, thereby achieving more uniform spraying and improving the spraying effect.

[0070] In some embodiments, during the spraying process, the temperature of the environment where the glass body is located is greater than or equal to 40° C., and the humidity of the environment is less than or equal to 50%.

[0071] It can be understood that an ambient temperature greater than or equal to 40°C and an ambient humidity less than or equal to 50% are conducive to rapid volatilization of the solvent, and the coating can solidify into particles in a short time (for example, within 1 minute) after leveling, that is, rapid shaping, which is conducive to subsequent rapid drying and fixing through tempering treatment, thereby improving production efficiency, avoiding coating contamination, and improving the surface quality of the coating.

[0072] As can be seen from the above, in the embodiment of the present application, in the process of spraying the antibacterial coating on the first surface of the glass body, improvements are made in the coating composition, nozzle pressure, nozzle flow rate and spraying environment, so that the antibacterial component is quickly and evenly covered on the first surface of the glass body to form a coating, and the coating has good antibacterial properties and surface quality.

[0073] In some embodiments, before step S20, the method further includes:

[0074] S10: Pre-processing the glass body.

[0075] Pre-treatment refers to a series of steps or processes performed on the glass body before spraying. In some embodiments, pre-treatment includes etching, contour processing or alkaline cleaning.

[0076] Etching refers to creating tiny texture structures on the first surface of the glass body. These texture structures can help scatter light, thereby reducing glare and the visibility of fingerprints on the surface of the glass body.

[0077] Contouring refers to cutting glass sheets into the appropriate shape and size. Contouring can also include edging and chamfering. Grinding smoothes the edges of the glass, while chamfering ensures that the glass meets assembly requirements.

[0078] The glass is then alkaline cleaned. Specifically, an alkaline solution is used to remove impurities such as dirt, grease, fat, and oxides from the surface of the glass. The basic principle of alkaline cleaning is to use the hydroxide ions (OH-) in the alkaline solution to react with the dirt on the surface, thereby breaking down and dissolving the dirt, making it easier to remove.

[0079] It is understandable that the pre-treatment (etching, contour processing and alkaline cleaning) can provide good coating forming conditions for spraying antibacterial coating, which is conducive to the subsequent formation of antibacterial coating with high surface quality.

[0080] S40: After the spraying is completed, the glass body is tempered to sinter the antibacterial component on the first surface of the glass body to form an antibacterial layer, thereby obtaining antibacterial glass.

[0081] Tempering is a heat treatment process designed to increase the strength and hardness of materials (such as glass) to improve durability and wear resistance. The basic principle of tempering is to heat the material to a high temperature and then rapidly cool it to change the material's crystal structure and properties.

[0082] After the glass body sprayed with antibacterial coating undergoes alternating high temperature and cooling, not only the mechanical properties such as strength and hardness are enhanced, but also the antibacterial components (such as quaternary ammonium salt compounds) are sintered on the first surface of the glass body to form an antibacterial layer, thereby obtaining antibacterial glass.

[0083] The antimicrobial component is sintered onto the glass body through tempering to form an antimicrobial layer, resulting in a strong adhesion of the antimicrobial layer. This provides the antimicrobial glass with excellent wear resistance and long-lasting antimicrobial properties. Furthermore, sintering the antimicrobial component during the tempering process simplifies the process and reduces costs.

[0084] In some embodiments, the process parameters used for the tempering treatment are: baking temperature 640° C.-750° C., baking time 120 min-160 min, and wind pressure 80 MPa-90 MPa.

[0085] In this embodiment, the baking temperature is high and the baking time is long. Higher baking temperatures and longer baking times can improve the adhesion of the antimicrobial layer (antimicrobial component), reduce the risk of peeling or flaking of the antimicrobial layer, make the structure of the antimicrobial layer more stable, and extend the service life of the antimicrobial layer. This results in the antimicrobial glass having better wear resistance and lasting antimicrobial properties.

[0086] In this embodiment, the use of higher wind pressure can better disperse the cooling medium during the tempering process, thereby achieving a more uniform and rapid cooling effect. This helps to avoid uneven stress distribution and deformation, and is beneficial to the stability of the antibacterial layer.

[0087] In some embodiments, after step S40, the method further includes:

[0088] S60: Post-processing of antibacterial glass.

[0089] Post-treatment refers to a series of steps or processes performed on the antimicrobial glass after the tempering process. In some embodiments, post-treatment includes silk screen printing or alkaline cleaning.

[0090] Silkscreen printing refers to printing a black border (Black Matrix, BM area) on the second surface (back surface) of the antimicrobial glass. Those skilled in the art will understand that the BM area is used to prevent light leakage from the screen and also serves as a routing for data and scan signals.

[0091] Then, the antibacterial glass is subjected to alkaline cleaning. Specifically, an alkaline solution is used to remove impurities such as dirt, grease, fat, oxides, etc. on the surface of the antibacterial glass.

[0092] In this embodiment, by post-processing the antibacterial glass, the antibacterial glass can be applied to electronic devices as the outermost layer of the electronic device display screen.

[0093] It is understandable that different post-treatment methods are required for different applications of antibacterial glass, and detailed examples are not given here.

[0094] In summary, the method for preparing antibacterial glass provided in the embodiment of the present application is to spray a coating including an antibacterial component on the first surface of the glass body, wherein the antibacterial component has a hydrophobic group; after the spraying is completed, the glass body is tempered to sinter the antibacterial component on the first surface of the glass body to form an antibacterial layer, thereby obtaining antibacterial glass.

[0095] In these embodiments, because the antimicrobial component contains hydrophobic groups, when the antimicrobial layer of glass comes into contact with bacteria, the hydrophobic groups can penetrate into the bacterial lipid layer, altering the permeability of the bacterial cell membrane, disrupting the cell membrane structure, and affecting bacterial metabolism, thereby killing the bacteria and achieving a sterilizing and antibacterial effect. Furthermore, the antimicrobial component is sintered onto the glass body through tempering to form an antimicrobial layer, resulting in high adhesion of the antimicrobial layer. This results in excellent wear resistance and long-lasting antimicrobial properties for the antimicrobial glass. Furthermore, sintering the antimicrobial component during the tempering process to form the antimicrobial layer simplifies the process and reduces costs.

[0096] Some embodiments of the present application further provide an antibacterial glass prepared by any one of the above-mentioned preparation method embodiments. For example, the antibacterial glass is prepared by the following steps:

[0097] (1) Pre-treat the glass body.

[0098] Pre-treatment processes include etching, contouring, or alkaline cleaning. Specifically, the first surface of the glass sheet is etched to create a microscopic texture. The glass itself is then contoured, cut to the desired shape and size, and edge-ground and chamfered. Finally, the glass is alkaline cleaned to remove surface stains.

[0099] It is understandable that the processes and functions of etching, contour processing and alkaline cleaning have been described in detail in step S10 above and will not be described in detail here.

[0100] (2) A coating including an antibacterial component having a hydrophobic group is sprayed on the first surface of the glass body.

[0101] The hydrophobic group can be inserted into the lipid layer of bacteria, change the permeability of the bacterial cell membrane, destroy the structure of the cell membrane, affect the bacterial metabolism, and thus kill the bacteria, achieving the effect of sterilization and antibacterial.

[0102] In some embodiments, the antimicrobial component includes a quaternary ammonium compound. The alkyl or aromatic group on the quaternary ammonium compound is usually a hydrocarbon chain, has hydrophobic properties, and is a hydrophobic group.

[0103] In some embodiments, the coating comprises the following components: polysiloxane: 2%-5%, 3-propyltrimethacrylate: 5%-10%, propylene glycol methyl ether: 20%-30%, water: 2%-10%, nitric acid: 0.5%-2%, and quaternary ammonium salt compound: 40%-60%.

[0104] The quaternary ammonium salt compound is the main antimicrobial component. Propylene glycol methyl ether serves as a fast-drying solvent, polysiloxane serves as a lubricant, and 3-propyl methacrylate tris(meth)acrylate serves as a crosslinker. The roles of the fast-drying solvent, lubricant, and crosslinker in forming the antimicrobial layer have been detailed above in step S20 and will not be repeated here.

[0105] During the spraying process, the nozzle pressure used is 5 MPa-10 MPa, and the nozzle flow rate is 40 g / min-60 g / min. The high nozzle pressure and nozzle flow rate allow a large amount of antimicrobial component (such as the quaternary ammonium salt compound) to quickly cover the first surface of the glass body, thereby achieving more uniform spraying and improving the spraying effect.

[0106] During the spraying process, the ambient temperature of the glass body is greater than or equal to 40°C, and the ambient humidity is less than or equal to 50%. Such a spraying environment is conducive to the rapid volatilization of the solvent, and the coating can solidify into particles in a short time (for example, within 1 minute) after leveling, that is, fast setting, which is conducive to the subsequent rapid drying and fixing through tempering treatment, thereby improving production efficiency, avoiding coating contamination, and improving the surface quality of the coating.

[0107] (3) After the spraying is completed, the glass body is tempered to sinter the antibacterial component on the first surface of the glass body to form an antibacterial layer, thereby obtaining antibacterial glass.

[0108] In some embodiments, the process parameters used for the tempering treatment are: baking temperature 640° C.-750° C., baking time 120 min-160 min, and wind pressure 80 MPa-90 MPa.

[0109] The baking temperature and time can improve the adhesion of the antibacterial layer (antibacterial component), reduce the risk of peeling or flaking of the antibacterial layer, make the antibacterial layer more structurally stable, and extend the service life of the antibacterial layer. This results in antibacterial glass with better wear resistance and lasting antibacterial properties. The wind pressure can better disperse the cooling medium during the tempering process, thereby achieving a more uniform and rapid cooling effect. This helps avoid uneven stress distribution and deformation, and is beneficial to the stability of the antibacterial layer.

[0110] (4) Post-processing of antibacterial glass.

[0111] Post-processing includes screen printing and alkaline cleaning. Through post-processing of antibacterial glass, it can be used in electronic devices as the outermost layer of electronic device display screens.

[0112] The antimicrobial glass produced through the above steps, based on the antimicrobial mechanism of the hydrophobic groups in the antimicrobial component, can eliminate bacteria on the surface of the antimicrobial glass, thereby achieving an antimicrobial effect. Furthermore, the antimicrobial component is tempered and sintered onto the glass body to form an antimicrobial layer, resulting in high adhesion of the antimicrobial layer. This results in excellent wear resistance and long-lasting antimicrobial properties. Furthermore, the simultaneous sintering of the antimicrobial component during the tempering process to form the antimicrobial layer simplifies the process and reduces costs.

[0113] In practical applications, the antimicrobial glass provided by the embodiments of the present application can be used in any scenario where antimicrobial protection is required through a glass plate. For example, the antimicrobial glass can be used on electronic device displays, electronic device casings, display windows, and the like.

[0114] Referring to FIG. 4 , some embodiments of the present application provide an antimicrobial glass 30 comprising a glass body 31 and an antimicrobial layer 32 sintered onto a first surface of the glass body 31. The antimicrobial layer 32 comprises an antimicrobial component having a hydrophobic group. In some embodiments, the antimicrobial component comprises a quaternary ammonium compound.

[0115] Because the antimicrobial component contains hydrophobic groups, when the antimicrobial layer 32 of the antimicrobial glass 30 comes into contact with bacteria, the hydrophobic groups can penetrate into the bacterial lipid layer, altering the permeability of the bacterial cell membrane, disrupting the cell membrane structure, and affecting bacterial metabolism, thereby killing the bacteria and achieving a sterilizing and antibacterial effect. Furthermore, the antimicrobial layer 32 is tempered and sintered onto the glass body 31, ensuring high adhesion. This ensures that the antimicrobial glass 30 exhibits excellent wear resistance and long-lasting antimicrobial properties.

[0116] In order to further illustrate the technical solution of the present application, examples and comparative examples of the prepared antibacterial glass are provided below for verification purposes.

[0117] Example

[0118] Pre-treatment: etching, shaping and alkaline cleaning of the glass body.

[0119] Spraying: spraying a coating on the first surface of the glass body, the coating comprising the following components: polysiloxane: 3%, 3-propyl trimethacrylate: 9%, propylene glycol methyl ether: 30%, water: 7%, nitric acid: 1%, and quaternary ammonium salt compound: 50%.

[0120] The nozzle's reciprocating speed on the x-axis is 1000-1200 mm / sec, and its height on the z-axis is 40-80 mm. The atomization pressure used is 120-160 kPa. Atomization pressure refers to the gas pressure used in the spray equipment to convert the paint into fine particles or atomize it. The nozzle flow rate is 40-60 g / min.

[0121] Tempering: The glass is tempered to sinter the antimicrobial component onto the first surface of the glass, forming an antimicrobial layer. The process parameters used are: baking temperature of 640°C-720°C, baking time of 120-160 minutes, and wind pressure of 80-90 MPa.

[0122] Post-processing: Silk screen printing and alkaline cleaning of antibacterial glass.

[0123] Through the above steps, a plurality of identical antibacterial glasses can be obtained. The antibacterial glasses are cut into sizes that meet the test requirements to prepare a plurality of test samples.

[0124] Comparative Example

[0125] Pre-treatment: Shape processing and cleaning of the glass body.

[0126] Tempering: Tempering the glass body.

[0127] Post-processing: screen printing and cleaning of the inner surface of the glass body.

[0128] Spraying: Spray a silver ion coating onto the first surface of the glass body. The main ingredients of the silver ion coating include: fluoride: 2%-5%, polytetrafluoroethylene: 5%-10%, silicon dioxide: 60%-70%, alkyd resin: 10%-20%, and silver ions: 1%-3%. During spraying, control the nozzle pressure to 3Mpa-7Mpa and the flow rate to 15g / min-30g / min.

[0129] Baking: Baking the glass body sprayed with the silver ion coating to obtain silver ion antibacterial glass, wherein the baking temperature is 50° C.-70° C. and the time is 30 min-60 min.

[0130] Cleaning: Clean the silver ion antibacterial glass.

[0131] The above steps can produce a plurality of identical silver ion antibacterial glasses, which are cut into sizes suitable for testing to prepare a plurality of comparative samples.

[0132] The following tests were performed on the test samples and the control samples:

[0133] (a) Test samples and control samples were subjected to wear resistance tests respectively.

[0134] Adopt test eraser (for example model is Faber Castell 7017R) to rub back and forth at first surface of test sample, friction intensity is 500gf, is a circulation with 3000cycles, and friction speed is 40cycles / min, and the diameter of eraser is 40mm.

[0135] Adopt test test eraser (for example model is Faber Castell 7017R) to rub back and forth at first surface of comparative sample, friction intensity is 500gf, is a circulation with 3000cycles, and friction speed is 40cycles / min, and the diameter of eraser is 40mm.

[0136] The results of the wear resistance test are as follows: the test sample has a wear resistance of more than 10,000 times, while the comparison sample has a wear resistance of less than 3,000 times.

[0137] As can be seen, compared to silver ion antimicrobial glass, the antimicrobial glass prepared using the method described in this embodiment exhibits significantly improved wear resistance. In this embodiment, the antimicrobial component is tempered and sintered onto the glass body to form an antimicrobial layer, resulting in a layer with high adhesion, good wear resistance, and long-lasting antimicrobial properties.

[0138] (b) Performing antibacterial tests on the test samples.

[0139] Antibacterial testing was performed on the test samples according to JIS Z 2801:2010 Antimicrobial Finished Products - Test Methods for Antimicrobial Properties and Determination of Antimicrobial Effect. The control sample was a plastic film without antimicrobial properties. The test data shown in Table 1 were obtained:

[0140] Table 1

[0141] As can be seen from Table 1, the control sample without antibacterial properties, after 24 hours of contact with bacteria, both colonies multiplied in large numbers and the number increased significantly. As for the test sample, before contact with bacteria, the number of bacteria on its surface (reference B value) was also relatively low. After contact with bacteria, the number of bacteria (reference C value) decreased significantly, indicating that the test sample has strong antibacterial and bactericidal properties. The antibacterial activity value (reference R value) of the test sample is also low, and the surface test sample has a higher level of bactericidal ability. The antibacterial rate of the test sample (i.e., the antibacterial glass in the embodiment of the present application) for Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus reached more than 99.9%, which meets the antibacterial standards.

[0142] (c) Perform environmental tests on the test samples.

[0143] The test samples were subjected to high-temperature testing, high-temperature and high-humidity testing, low-temperature testing, and thermal shock testing. The high-temperature test (HTS) was conducted under the following conditions: 85°C for 300 hours. The high-temperature and high-humidity test (THB) was conducted under the following conditions: 85°C for 300 hours, 85% humidity for 85°C. The low-temperature test (LTS) was conducted under the following conditions: -40°C for 300 hours. The thermal shock test (TST) was conducted under the following conditions: 300 cycles of alternating -40°C and 85°C.

[0144] It is understood that before the environmental tests, water droplets were dripped onto the surfaces of the four test samples to measure the water drop angle on the surfaces. It is understood that the water drop angle reflects the anti-fingerprint level, and the larger the water drop angle, the higher the anti-fingerprint level. After the four test samples underwent the above four environmental tests, water droplets were dripped onto the surfaces of the four test samples to measure the water drop angle on the surfaces. The test results are shown in Table 2 below:

[0145] Table 2

[0146] As shown in Table 2, the test sample (the antimicrobial glass in the present embodiment) exhibited good anti-fingerprint performance before and after exposure to high temperatures, high temperatures and high humidity, low temperatures, and thermal shock. This indicates that the antimicrobial layer of the antimicrobial glass in the present embodiment exhibits resistance to high temperatures, low temperatures, and high humidity, and exhibits long-lasting antimicrobial properties.

[0147] In summary, the method for preparing antimicrobial glass provided in the embodiments of the present application comprises spraying a coating comprising an antimicrobial component having a hydrophobic group onto the first surface of a glass body. Following spraying, the glass body is tempered to sinter the antimicrobial component onto the first surface of the glass body to form an antimicrobial layer, thereby producing the antimicrobial glass. In this embodiment, the antimicrobial component is tempered and sintered onto the glass body to form the antimicrobial layer, resulting in high adhesion of the antimicrobial layer. Consequently, the antimicrobial glass exhibits excellent wear resistance and long-lasting antimicrobial properties.
