Abstract
Description
Hybrid power transmission oil baffle, hybrid power transmission and vehicle
[0001] This application claims priority to Chinese patent application No. 202322575247.3 filed on September 21, 2023, with utility model name “Hybrid-specific transmission oil baffle”, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field
[0002] The present application relates to the technical field of transmission components, and in particular to a hybrid-powered transmission oil baffle, a hybrid-powered transmission, and a vehicle. Background Art
[0003] Hybrid vehicles combine two power sources, the engine and the motor, through a power coupling device to provide power to the vehicle. The hybrid-specific transmission is the key component to achieve power coupling.
[0004] Hybrid transmissions contain oil, which lubricates moving parts such as the output shaft and differential. When a hybrid vehicle is traveling at high speed, the output shaft and differential of the hybrid transmission rotate rapidly within the oil, stirring the oil and causing it to splash throughout the transmission housing. This stirring increases the transmission oil temperature and creates a large number of bubbles. The compressibility of the foam in the oil can easily lead to pressure fluctuations and drops in the hydraulic system, increasing churning losses and reducing the transmission efficiency of the mechanical components.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0068] The following will be combined with the drawings in the embodiments of this application to clearly and completely describe the technical solutions in the embodiments of this application. Obviously, the embodiments described are part of the embodiments of this application, not all of them. Based on the embodiments in this application, all other embodiments obtained by ordinary technicians in this field without making creative efforts are within the scope of protection of this application.

Therefore, they should not be construed as limiting this application. Furthermore, the terms "first," "second," and "third" are used for descriptive purposes only and should not be construed as indicating or implying relative importance.
[0070] In addition, the technical features involved in the different embodiments of the present application described below can be combined with each other as long as they do not conflict with each other.
[0071] FIG1 illustrates a common hybrid transmission structure in the related art. As shown in FIG1 , the transmission receives power from two motors. A motor mounting position 21 is located within a transmission housing 20, positioned at the top of the transmission housing 20. A first motor (not shown) can be positioned within the motor mounting position 21. The first motor drives an output shaft 30 located at the bottom center of the transmission housing 20. The output shaft 30 transmits power to a differential 40 via gear meshing, thereby driving the vehicle. An input shaft 50 is positioned above the output shaft 30. The engine crankshaft (not shown) and a second motor (not shown) are connected in series and connected to the input shaft 50 to provide power. This power is then transmitted via gears to the differential 40, also used to drive the vehicle.
[0072] When the hybrid vehicle is stationary, the oil in the hybrid transmission shown in Figure 1 remains stationary, with the oil level located above the central axis of the output shaft 30. When the hybrid vehicle is traveling at high speed, the output shaft 30 and differential 40 of the hybrid transmission rotate rapidly in the oil. The high-speed rotation of the gear teeth on the output shaft 30 and the gear teeth of the differential 40 stirs the oil, causing it to splash throughout the transmission case 20. This oil stirring increases the temperature of the hybrid transmission oil and generates a large number of bubbles. The compressibility of the bubbles in the oil easily causes pressure fluctuations in the hydraulic system and a drop in oil pressure, increasing churning losses and, in turn, reducing the transmission efficiency of the mechanical components.
[0073] To address the aforementioned issues, the present invention further provides an oil baffle for a hybrid transmission, the structure of which is shown in Figures 2 and 3. Referring to Figure 2, the oil baffle 10 comprises an oil baffle body 11 and a connecting portion 12. The oil baffle body 11 is an arc-shaped plate that surrounds the gear driven gear 32 in the hybrid transmission. The connecting portion 12 is connected to the oil baffle body 11 and is used to secure the oil baffle 10 to the transmission housing 20 of the hybrid transmission.
[0074] By analyzing the stirring of the engine oil by each gear during vehicle driving, the inventors found that the engine oil inside the transmission housing 20 is mainly stirred by the gear driven gear 32 and the differential gear 41 on the output shaft 30, wherein the output shaft 30 is located in the middle position of the bottom of the transmission housing 20, the front of the differential gear 41 is blocked by the gear on the output shaft 30, and the rest of the differential gear 41 is surrounded by the transmission housing 20. Therefore, in the hybrid-specific transmission, the differential gear 41 has a limited stirring effect on the engine oil, and the stirring action is mainly generated by the gear driven gear 32 on the output shaft 30.
[0075] Therefore, in the embodiment of the present application, the oil baffle 10 is fixed on the transmission housing 20 and arranged around the gear driven gear 32. In this way, when the vehicle is running, the gear driven gear 32 on the output shaft 30 generates an oil stirring action, driving the engine oil to splash forward. The oil baffle 10 surrounding the gear driven gear 32 can form a shield in the parabolic direction of the oil splashing, so that the oil is splashed onto the inner surface of the oil baffle 10, thereby shortening the splashing distance of the oil. The inner surface of the oil baffle 10 will guide the oil splashed on the oil baffle 10 back to the interior of the transmission, so that the various components in the transmission are lubricated with engine oil while reducing the generation of bubbles, reducing oil stirring losses, and improving the transmission efficiency of the mechanical components.
[0076] It should be noted that, in the embodiment of the present application, “front” refers to the direction close to the front of the vehicle, and “rear” refers to the direction close to the rear of the vehicle.
[0077] In some embodiments, as shown in Figures 2 and 6, the connecting portion 12 includes a first mounting leg 121 and a second mounting leg 122. The first mounting leg 121 is provided with a first mounting hole 1211 at the end away from the oil baffle body 11, and the second mounting leg 122 is provided with a second mounting hole 1221 at the end away from the oil baffle body 11. The oil baffle 10 is fixedly connected to the transmission housing 20 by a first fastener (not shown in the figure) passing through the first mounting hole 1211 and a second fastener (not shown in the figure) passing through the second mounting hole 1221.
[0078] The connecting portion 12 is connected to the transmission housing 20 via fasteners, thereby securing the oil baffle 10 to the transmission housing 20. The first mounting leg 121 and the second mounting leg 122 are both bent relative to the oil baffle body 11. This not only facilitates assembly of the oil baffle 10, but also prevents the connection between the connecting portion 12 and the transmission housing 20 from contact with the engine oil in the transmission, thus preventing the connection from being corroded by the engine oil.
[0079] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG3 , the first mounting leg 121 and the second mounting leg 122 are not directly opposite to each other, but are staggered on both sides of the oil baffle body 11 to facilitate assembly while avoiding local stress concentration in the oil baffle body 11 .
[0080] For example, the first fastener may be a screw or a bolt, and the second fastener may be a screw or a bolt. Optionally, the connecting portion 12 may also be fixed to a mechanical oil pump 60, which is fixed to the transmission housing 20. That is, the oil pump housing (not shown) of the mechanical oil pump 60 is part of the transmission housing 20.
[0081] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 3 , the oil deflector body 11 has a first side wall 111 and a second side wall 112 , and the first side wall 111 and the second side wall 112 are opposite to each other in the axial direction of the oil deflector body 11 .
[0082] It should be noted that the oil baffle body 11 is an arc-shaped plate, the inner and outer surfaces of the arc-shaped plate are both arc-shaped surfaces, and the inner and outer surfaces share a central axis, which is specifically a straight line where the centers of the circles of the arcs that make up the arc surface are located. Therefore, the axial direction of the oil baffle body 11 refers to the extension direction of the central axis of the oil baffle body 11.
[0083] As shown in Figure 3, the first side wall 111 includes a first portion 1111 and a second portion 1112 connected along the circumferential direction of the oil baffle body 11, wherein the first portion 1111 is connected to the oil baffle extension 13, and a portion of the oil baffle extension 13 is located on a side of the first portion 1111 away from the second portion 1112.
[0084] The oil baffle plate 10 further includes an oil baffle extension 13. One side of the oil baffle extension 13 is connected to the first portion 1111 of the first sidewall 111, and the other side of the oil baffle extension 13 extends along the axial direction of the oil baffle body 11, away from the second sidewall 112. The orthographic projection of the oil baffle extension 13 on a set plane partially overlaps with the orthographic projection of the oil baffle body 11 on the set plane, where the set plane is perpendicular to the axial direction of the oil baffle body 11.
[0085] “Partial overlap” means that a portion of the orthographic projection of the oil baffle extension 13 on the set plane overlaps with the orthographic projection of the oil baffle body 11 on the set plane, and another portion of the orthographic projection of the oil baffle extension 13 on the set plane is outside the orthographic projection of the oil baffle body 11 on the set plane.
[0086] As shown in FIG3 , only a portion of the sidewall of the oil baffle extension 13 adjacent to the oil baffle body 11 is connected to the first portion 1111 of the first sidewall 111 of the oil baffle body 11. The remaining portion of the sidewall of the oil baffle extension 13 is suspended in the air and does not connect to or contact the oil baffle body 11. Therefore, as shown in FIG6 , after the oil baffle 10 is installed on the transmission case 20, at least a portion of the oil baffle extension 13 can extend below the output shaft 30, thereby shielding the oil splashing downward from the meshing area between the differential gear 41 of the differential 40 and the power take-off gear 31 of the output shaft 30, effectively directing the oil at that meshing area to flow forward and upward along the inner surface of the oil baffle extension 13, thereby preventing the oil from colliding with the irregular inner wall surface of the transmission case and reducing the generation of bubbles.
[0087] The second portion 1112 of the first side wall 111 of the oil baffle body 11 is connected to the first mounting leg 121, with the distal end of the first mounting leg 121 extending away from the inner surface of the oil baffle body 11. The second side wall 112 of the oil baffle body 11 is connected to the second mounting leg 122, with the distal end of the second mounting leg 122 extending away from the inner surface of the oil baffle body 11. Therefore, the first mounting leg 121 and the second mounting leg are positioned away from the output shaft 30, avoiding any interference with the rotation of the output shaft 30 while facilitating securement to the transmission case 20.
[0088] Optionally, the inner surface of the oil baffle body 11 is a smooth arc-shaped plate surface.
[0089] Optionally, the oil baffle plate extension portion 13 is also an arc-shaped plate, and the inner surface of the oil baffle plate extension portion 13 is a smooth arc-shaped plate surface.
[0090] Therefore, when the engine oil splashes onto the inner surface of the oil baffle body 11 or the inner surface of the oil baffle extension 13, the engine oil can flow along the inner surface of the oil baffle body 11 or the inner surface of the oil baffle extension 13, and is not easy to hang on the oil baffle 10, thereby reducing the engine oil loss.
[0091] In some embodiments of the present application, as shown in Figures 2 and 3 , the oil baffle body 11 includes a first plate 113 and a second plate 114 connected in the axial direction of the oil baffle body 11. The first plate 113 is connected to the oil baffle extension 13, and the second plate 114 is located on a side of the first plate 113 away from the oil baffle extension 13. As shown in Figures 4 and 6 , the plate surface of the first plate 113 and the plate surface of the second plate 114 are both curved surfaces.
[0092] Furthermore, as shown in Figures 2 and 6 , in the thickness direction of the oil deflector body 11, the first plate 113 is closer to the central axis of the oil deflector body 11 than the second plate 114. After the oil deflector 10 is secured to the transmission case 20, as shown in Figure 6 , the first plate 113 is positioned outside the smaller diameter gear of the shift driven gear 32, while the second plate 114 is positioned outside the smaller diameter gear of the shift driven gear 32. This reduces the distance that oil splashes from various locations on the shift driven gear 32 can splash.
[0093] 2 , the oil baffle extension 13 includes a third plate 131 and a fourth plate 132 connected in the axial direction of the oil baffle extension 13 . The third plate 131 is connected to the oil baffle main body 11 , and the fourth plate 132 is located on the side of the third plate 131 away from the oil baffle main body 11 . The axial direction of the oil baffle extension 13 is the direction in which the central axis of the oil baffle extension 13 extends. As shown in FIG6 , the plate surfaces of the third plate 131 and the fourth plate 132 are both arcuate surfaces, and the plate surfaces of the third plate 131 and the fourth plate 132 share a central axis. The central axis is specifically the straight line containing the center of each arc forming the arc. Therefore, the axial direction of the oil baffle extension 13 refers to the direction in which the central axis of the oil baffle extension 13 extends.
[0094] In some embodiments, the central axis of the oil baffle body 11 coincides with the central axis of the oil baffle extension 13. As shown in Figures 2 and 6 , in the thickness direction of the oil baffle extension 13, the third plate 131 is closer to the central axis of the oil baffle extension 13 than the fourth plate 132. After the oil baffle 10 is secured to the transmission case 20, as shown in Figure 6 , the third plate 131 surrounds the outer side of the power take-off gear 31 of the output shaft 30, while the fourth plate 132 avoids the inner wall of the transmission case 20.
[0095] Optionally, as shown in Figure 3, the oil baffle body 11 and the oil baffle extension 13 are an integrally formed structure, wherein the inner surface of the first plate body 113 and the inner surface of the third plate body 131 are arranged on a common arc surface, and the first mounting leg 121 and the second mounting leg 122 are formed by cutting and bending a part of the plate used to manufacture the oil baffle 10.
[0096] The present application also provides a hybrid transmission oil baffle, the structure of which is shown in Figures 2 to 7. Referring to Figures 2 to 7, a differential 40 and an output shaft 30 are arranged at the bottom of the transmission housing 20. The output shaft 30 is located in front of the differential 40. The differential gear 41 meshes with the output shaft power output gear 31 at the end of the output shaft 30. An input shaft 50 is arranged above and in front of the output shaft 30. The input gear 51 on the input shaft 50 meshes with the gear driven gear 32 on the output shaft 30. The input shaft 50 is driven to rotate by torque provided by the engine and / or electric motor. The oil baffle 10, which is fixedly connected to the transmission housing 20, is spaced apart and positioned in front of and below the gear driven gear 32 on the output shaft 300. The term "spaced apart" means that the oil baffle 10 is arranged around at least a portion of the gear driven gear 32, with a gap between the oil baffle 10 and the gear driven gear 32.
[0097] In one example, an engine (not shown) is connected in series with a second electric motor (not shown) via a clutch (not shown), and both are connected to an input shaft 50. This allows the power output from the engine and the second electric motor to be transmitted to the input shaft 50. The input shaft 50 then transmits the power to the output shaft 30 through gear meshing. Alternatively, the first electric motor (not shown) can directly transmit the power to the output shaft 30. Ultimately, the output shaft 30 transmits the power to the wheels via a power output gear 31 at its end that meshes with a differential gear 41. During the gear transmission process, the oil within the transmission housing 20 is agitated by the gear driven gear 32 and differential gear 41 on the output shaft 30. Because the output shaft 30 is located in the middle of the bottom of the transmission housing 20, the front of the differential gear 41 is blocked by the gears on the output shaft 30, and the rest of the differential gear 41 is surrounded by the transmission housing 20. Therefore, in a hybrid-specific transmission, the differential gear 41 has a limited agitation effect on the oil, and the agitation is primarily generated by the gear driven gear 32 on the output shaft 30. As shown in Figures 4 and 5, when the vehicle moves forward, the differential gear 41 rotates counterclockwise in the figure, the output shaft power output gear 31 on the output shaft 30 is engaged with the external differential gear 41, and the output shaft 30 rotates clockwise. The engine oil is driven forward by the shaft teeth below the output shaft 30 and splashes forward. Therefore, the oil baffle 10 is placed at the front and lower position of the gear driven gear 32 on the output shaft 30 to directly block the parabolic direction of the oil splashing, shortening the path of the oil splashing in the most efficient way, and the blocked oil flows out along the plate surface of the oil baffle to better achieve oil guidance, so that the various components in the transmission are lubricated with engine oil while reducing the generation of bubbles.
[0098] To reduce the oil stirring effect of the differential gear 41, the axial extension 13 of the oil baffle plate 10 extends to a position below and in front of the differential gear 41 and is positioned below the output shaft power take-off gear 31. In the above embodiment, the differential gear 41 and the output shaft power take-off gear 31 on the output shaft 30 are externally meshed, causing the oil between them to be thrown downward at the meshing point. The placement of the oil baffle plate extension 13 effectively guides the oil in this area to flow forward and upward along the inner plate surface (i.e., the inner surface) of the oil baffle plate extension 13, thereby preventing the oil from colliding with the irregular inner wall surface of the transmission housing 20 and reducing the generation of bubbles.
[0099] The gear driven gears 32 on the output shaft 30 include a second gear driven gear 322, a first gear driven gear 321, and a third gear driven gear 323, which are arranged adjacent to and spaced apart from each other. The second gear driven gear 322 is closest to the output shaft power output gear 31. The main portion of the oil baffle 10 (i.e., the oil baffle body 11) is positioned below and in front of the first gear driven gear 321 and the second gear driven gear 322. The oil baffle body 11 and the oil baffle extension 13 have smooth, arcuate surfaces facing the output shaft 30 and / or the differential gear 41.
[0100] In the above scheme, the first-gear driven gear 321 and the second-gear driven gear 322 on the output shaft 30 produce the greatest oil stirring effect. The third-gear driven gear 323 is located on the innermost side of the output shaft 30, with its front portion close to the inner wall of the transmission case 20, and thus has relatively high damping when stirring the oil. Therefore, the oil baffle body 11 is positioned below and in front of the first-gear driven gear 321 and the second-gear driven gear 322, maximizing the use of the crowded internal space of the transmission. The side of the oil baffle 10 facing the output shaft 30 has a smooth, curved surface that conforms to the parabolic path of oil splashes, improving oil blocking efficiency and reducing the possibility of bubble formation.
[0101] To facilitate the secure installation of the oil baffle plate 10, a mechanical oil pump 60, fixedly connected to the transmission case 20, is positioned in front of the oil baffle plate 10. The upper edge of the oil baffle plate extension 13 is lower than the upper edge of the oil baffle plate body 11. A first mounting leg 121 extends forward from the transition edge between the upper edge of the oil baffle plate extension 13 and the upper edge of the oil baffle plate body 11. A second mounting leg 122 extends forward from the left edge of the oil baffle plate body 11. The oil baffle plate 10 is bolted to the mechanical oil pump 60 via a first mounting hole 1211 located at the end of the first mounting leg 121 and a second mounting hole 1221 located at the end of the second mounting leg 122. In the aforementioned embodiment, the upper edge of the oil baffle plate extension 13 is lower than the upper edge of the oil baffle plate body 11. The gap above the oil baffle plate extension 13 is to provide clearance for the C2C3 clutch's kinematic mechanism (not shown) and fixed components such as the clutch (not shown). The mechanical oil pump 60 is located in front of the third-speed driven gear 323. Therefore, the outer wall of the mechanical oil pump 60 also serves as an oil barrier, reducing the footprint of the oil baffle 10. The oil baffle 10 is bolted to the mechanical oil pump 60 via the first and second mounting legs 121, 122. Compared to bolting the oil baffle 10 directly to the transmission case 20, this achieves the same securing effect, facilitating the placement and installation of the oil baffle 10 and saving manufacturing materials.
[0102] The oil baffle body 11 includes a first step plate 113 positioned in front of the second-gear driven gear 322, positioned closer to the output shaft 30. The right edge of the oil baffle extension 13 includes a second step plate 132, located further away from the differential gear 41. In this embodiment, the second step plate is designed to avoid the inner wall of the transmission case 20. Since the diameter of the second-gear driven gear 322 is smaller than that of the first-gear driven gear 321, the first step plate allows the oil baffle 10 to be closer to the second-gear driven gear 322, further shortening the oil splash path and reducing bubble generation.
[0103] The embodiment of the present application also provides a hybrid-specific transmission, as shown in Figures 4 to 7, the hybrid-specific transmission includes a transmission housing 20, an output shaft 30, a differential 40, an input shaft 50 and an oil baffle 10, the output shaft 30 and the differential 40 are arranged at the bottom of the transmission housing 20, and the output shaft 30 is located in front of the differential 40, and an output shaft power output gear 31 and a gear driven gear 32 are provided on the output shaft 30, the output shaft power output gear 31 is located at the end of the output shaft 30, and a differential gear 41 is provided on the differential 40, and the differential gear 41 is meshed with the output shaft power output gear 31; the input shaft 50 is located in the front and upper part of the output shaft 30, and is driven to rotate by the torque provided by the engine and / or the motor, and an input gear 51 is provided on the input shaft 50, and the input gear 51 is meshed with the gear driven gear 32; the oil baffle 10 is fixedly connected to the transmission housing 20, and the oil baffle 10 is surrounded at the front and lower position of the gear driven gear 32 and is spaced apart from the gear driven gear 32.
[0104] In the hybrid-specific transmission provided in the embodiment of the present application, an oil baffle 10 is fixed to the transmission housing 20, and the oil baffle 10 is arranged around the gear driven gear 32. In this way, when the vehicle is driving, the gear driven gear 32 on the output shaft 30 generates an oil stirring action, driving the engine oil to splash forward. The oil baffle 10 surrounding the gear driven gear 32 can form a shield in the parabolic direction of the oil splashing, so that the oil is splashed onto the inner surface of the oil baffle 10, thereby shortening the distance of the oil splashing, and the inner surface of the oil baffle 10 will guide the oil splashed on the oil baffle 10 back to the inside of the transmission, so that the various components in the transmission are lubricated with engine oil while reducing the generation of bubbles, reducing oil stirring losses, and improving the transmission efficiency of mechanical components, thereby improving the power performance of the hybrid-specific transmission.
[0105] In some embodiments of the present application, as shown in Figures 2 and 3, the oil baffle 10 includes an oil baffle body 11 and a connecting portion 12. The oil baffle body 11 is an arc-shaped plate and surrounds the gear driven gear 32; the connecting portion 12 is connected to the oil baffle body 11 and is fixedly connected to the transmission housing 20.
[0106] The curved surface of the curved plate can adapt to the parabolic shape of the oil splash, thereby achieving a better shielding effect, while reducing the generation of bubbles and reducing oil stirring losses.
[0107] In some embodiments of the present application, as shown in Figures 6 and 7, the gear driven gear 32 includes a second gear driven gear 322, a first gear driven gear 321 and a third gear driven gear 323 that are adjacent to and spaced apart in sequence. The second gear driven gear 322 is closest to the output shaft power output gear 31, and the oil baffle body 11 is arranged in the front and lower position of the first gear driven gear 321 and the second gear driven gear 322.
[0108] Since the first-gear driven gear 321 and the second-gear driven gear 322 on the output shaft 30 have the greatest oil stirring effect, and the third-gear driven gear 323 is located on the innermost side of the output shaft 30, with its front close to the inner wall of the transmission housing 20, and its own damping of stirring the oil is relatively large, the oil baffle body 11 is arranged in the front and lower position of the first-gear driven gear 321 and the second-gear driven gear 322 to maximize the use of the crowded internal space of the transmission.
[0109] In some embodiments of the present application, the connecting portion 12 includes a first mounting leg 121 and a second mounting leg 122. The first mounting leg 121 is provided with a first mounting hole 1211 at the end away from the oil baffle body 11, and the second mounting leg 122 is provided with a second mounting hole 1221 at the end away from the oil baffle body 11. The oil baffle 10 is fixedly connected to the transmission housing 20 by a first fastener passing through the first mounting hole 1211 and a second fastener passing through the second mounting hole 1221.
[0110] In some embodiments of the present application, the hybrid-specific transmission includes a mechanical oil pump 60, which is arranged in front of the oil baffle 10; the transmission housing 20 includes a main housing and an oil pump housing of the mechanical oil pump 60 (not shown in the figure), the oil pump housing is fixedly connected to the main housing, and the oil baffle 10 is fixedly connected to the oil pump housing by a first fastener passing through the first mounting hole 1211 and a second fastener passing through the second mounting hole 1221.
[0111] Connecting the oil baffle 10 to the mechanical oil pump 60 facilitates its installation and fixation. Furthermore, since the mechanical oil pump 60 is located in front of the third-speed driven gear 323, the outer wall of the mechanical oil pump 60 also serves as an oil barrier, reducing the footprint of the oil baffle 10. The oil baffle 10 is bolted to the mechanical oil pump 60 via the first and second mounting legs 121, 122. Compared to a direct bolt connection to the transmission case 20, this achieves the same fixing effect, further facilitating the placement and installation of the oil baffle 10 and saving manufacturing materials.

[0114] In the above solution, there is a staggered portion between the oil baffle extension 13 and the oil baffle body 11, that is, there is a gap above the oil baffle extension 13, which is to avoid the clutch's moving mechanism and fixed components such as the suction and discharge rate.
