[0002] Conventionally, as a method for evaluating peeling of an adhesive polymer gel, JP 2012-72262 A (Patent Document 1) discloses a method in which the gel is attached to a glass plate, left to stand in an atmosphere of 60°C and 90% RH for 24 hours, and the presence or absence of foaming of the gel and the presence or absence of peeling at the edge of the attached surface are visually observed.

[0003] JP 2012-72262 A

[0004] Electrical therapy devices, such as low-frequency therapy devices, relieve muscle tension and pain by attaching adhesive electrodes to the affected area of the user and delivering low-frequency electrical stimulation. Electrodes are consumables whose adhesiveness to the human body deteriorates due to repeated use, dirt, and sweat. Users are concerned that the electrodes' intended performance may not be fully realized if they are not aware of the expiration date or continue to use them for longer than their intended specifications.

[0005] Recently, cordless low-frequency therapy devices and electrodes that can be used while out and about have been developed, and since they are inevitably used in environments where electrodes are prone to deterioration, there is an increasing need for users to be more aware of the deterioration state of electrodes.

[0006] However, when using the evaluation method described in Patent Document 1, a thermostatic oven is required to maintain a high temperature and high humidity environment for a predetermined period of time, making it difficult for users to easily check the deterioration state of the electrodes (specifically, the adhesive strength of the electrodes) in their daily lives.

[0007] The present disclosure has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned problems, and an object of the present disclosure is to provide an adhesive strength checking device that can check the adhesive strength of an electrode with a simple configuration.

[0008] An adhesive strength checking device according to the present disclosure is a device for checking the adhesive strength of an electrode used in an electrotherapy device. The adhesive strength checking device includes an attachment part to which an adhesive part of the electrode can be attached. The attachment part includes a reference surface and an active surface connected to the reference surface. The active surface is configured such that, when the adhesive part is attached, the adhesive part is more easily peeled from the side of the active surface farther from the reference surface than from the side of the active surface closer to the reference surface.

[0009] In the adhesive strength confirmation device based on the present disclosure, when the direction perpendicular to the reference surface is defined as the height direction, the end portion of the action surface located farther from the reference surface may be positioned lower than the end portion of the action surface located closer to the reference surface.

[0010] In the adhesive strength checking device according to the present disclosure, the working surface may have a curved portion that curves downward as it moves away from the reference surface.

[0011] In the adhesive strength checking device according to the present disclosure, the curved portion may be provided so that the radius of curvature decreases with increasing distance from the reference surface.

[0012] In the adhesive strength confirmation device based on the present disclosure, the working surface may include a stepped portion that decreases in position from the side closer to the reference surface to the side farther from the reference surface.

[0013] The adhesive strength checking device according to the present disclosure may further include a checking section capable of checking the amount of peeling of the electrode.

[0014] In the adhesive strength confirmation device based on the present disclosure, the confirmation unit may include a translucent portion that allows at least the portion of the electrode that has been peeled off from the adhesive portion to be visible, and a scale that indicates the amount of peeling from the adhesive portion in stages.

[0015] In the adhesive strength checking device according to the present disclosure, the checking unit may include a sensor capable of detecting the amount of peeling.

[0016] The adhesive strength confirmation device according to the present disclosure may be provided so that a part of the electrotherapy device can be fixed thereto.

[0017] According to the present disclosure, it is possible to provide an adhesive strength checking device that can check the adhesive strength of an electrode with a simple configuration.

[0019] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In the embodiments described below, the same or common parts are denoted by the same reference numerals in the drawings, and the description thereof will not be repeated.

[0020] (Embodiment 1) Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing a state in which a low-frequency treatment device is placed on an adhesive strength confirmation device according to embodiment 1. Fig. 2 is a perspective view showing a state in which a low-frequency treatment device is placed on an adhesive strength confirmation device according to embodiment 1.

[0021] The adhesive strength checking device 50 according to the first embodiment is a device for checking the adhesive strength of two electrodes 20, 30 (see FIG. 3) used in the electrotherapeutic device 1.

[0022] The electrotherapy device 1 includes a main body 10, electrodes 20 and 30 (see FIG. 3), and a holding unit 40. The electrotherapy device 1 is a low-frequency therapy device that relieves pain in a user by supplying a low-frequency pulse current to the electrodes 20 and 30 that are in contact with the surface of the user's body. The frequency of the low-frequency pulse current is, for example, 1 Hz or more and 1200 Hz or less.

[0023] The main body 10 includes a housing case 11 and an operation unit 15. A circuit unit (not shown) is housed inside the housing case 11. The circuit unit is electrically connected to the electrodes 20 and 30 via electrical paths, and controls the current and voltage flowing through the electrodes 20 and 30.

[0024] The operation unit 15 is provided in the housing case 11. The operation unit 15 has, for example, a measurement switch. The operation unit 15 is not limited to a push switch, and may be, for example, a pressure-sensitive (resistive) or proximity (capacitive) touch panel switch. Furthermore, the housing case 11 may be provided with a display unit separate from the operation unit 15.

[0025] The electrodes 20, 30 are arranged at a distance from each other in the first direction so that the main body 10 is located between the electrodes 20 and 30 in a plan view. The electrode 20 is arranged on one side of the main body 10 in the first direction. The electrode 30 is arranged on the other side of the main body 10 in the first direction.

[0026] The electrodes 20, 30 are used to pass a current through the user. The electrodes 20, 30 are provided so that they can be attached to the body surface of the user using adhesive force. The electrodes 20, 30 have an adhesive portion. The electrodes 20, 30 may be, for example, gel pads or layers of an adhesive layer and a conductive member. By supplying a current to the electrodes 20, 30 while they are in contact with the body surface of the user, a current can be passed through the user.

[0027] The holding unit 40 holds the electrodes 20, 30. The holding unit 40 is, for example, flexible and deformable so as to conform to the body surface. For example, insulating fabric or the like can be used as the holding unit 40.

[0028] Because the holding portion 40 and the electrodes 20, 30 are flexible and have a restoring force that causes them to return to their original shape when deformed, as will be described later, when the electrodes 20, 30 are attached to the adhesive strength confirmation device 50, a peeling force can be effectively applied to the electrodes 20, 30 (more specifically, the adhesive portion).

[0029] The holding portion 40 is fixed to the main body 10, for example. The holding portion 40 has a first holding portion 41 and a second holding portion 42. The first holding portion 41 holds the electrode 20. The shape of the first holding portion 41 is substantially the same as the shape of the electrode 20. The second holding portion 42 holds the electrode 30. The shape of the second holding portion 42 is substantially the same as the shape of the electrode 30. The first holding portion 41 and the second holding portion 42 may be connected by a connecting portion.

[0030] The adhesive strength checking device 50 has an attachment section 60 to which the two electrodes 20, 30 (more specifically, the adhesive portions) can be attached. In the first embodiment, the adhesive strength checking device 50 has a block shape, and the attachment section 60 is formed by the upper surface of the block shape. The adhesive strength checking device 50 is made of, for example, a resin member. The material, surface roughness, surface microstructure, etc. of the adhesive strength checking device 50 are not particularly limited as long as the adhesive portions of the electrodes 20, 30 can be attached.

[0031] The adhering unit 60 has two working surfaces 61 and 62 and a reference surface 63. The reference surface 63 is, for example, flat. The reference surface 63 may be parallel to the horizontal direction, for example, but the orientation of the reference surface 63 may be changed as appropriate when measuring the adhesive strength.

[0032] The action surfaces 61, 62 are connected to a reference surface 63. When viewed from above, the action surfaces 61, 62 are arranged such that the reference surface 63 is located between the action surfaces 61 and 62. The action surfaces 61, the reference surface 63, and the action surfaces 62 are arranged so as to be aligned in this order in the first direction. The action surface 61 is arranged on one side of the reference surface 63 in the first direction. The action surface 62 is arranged on the other side of the reference surface 63 in the first direction.

[0033] The working surfaces 61, 62 are configured so that when the electrodes 20, 30 are attached, the adhesive portions of the electrodes 20, 30 are more easily peeled off on the side of the working surfaces 61, 62 farther from the reference surface 63 than on the side of the working surfaces 61, 62 closer to the reference surface 63.

[0034] Specifically, when the direction perpendicular to the reference plane 63 is defined as the height direction, the end of each of the action surfaces 61, 62 located farther from the reference plane 63 is positioned lower than the end of each of the action surfaces 61, 62 located closer to the reference plane 63. Note that when the reference plane 63 is parallel to the horizontal direction, the height direction is parallel to the up-down direction.

[0035] More specifically, when the direction perpendicular to the reference surface 63 is defined as the height direction, the working surfaces 61 and 62 have curved portions that curve downward as they move away from the reference surface 63. The curved portions are provided so that the radius of curvature becomes smaller as they move away from the reference surface 63.

[0036] The working surfaces 61, 62 and the reference surface 63 are made of a composition similar to that of a body surface. For example, the working surfaces 61, 62 and the reference surface 63 have a surface roughness similar to that of a body surface. This allows for appropriate evaluation of the adhesiveness of the electrodes 20, 30 to the body surface. The working surfaces 61, 62 and the reference surface 63 may be made of artificial skin.

[0037] When placing the electric treatment device 1 on the adhesive strength confirmation device 50, the electric treatment device 1 is brought close to the adhesive strength confirmation device 50 from above with the main body 10 facing the reference surface 63 and the electrodes 20, 30 facing the working surfaces 61, 62, and the main body 10 is placed on the reference surface 63.

[0038] FIG. 3 is a front view showing a state in which a low-frequency therapy device is placed on the adhesive strength checking device according to the first embodiment.

[0039] 3, when the main body 10 is placed on the reference surface 63, the electrodes 20, 30 are spaced apart from the attachment portion 60. From this state, the electrodes 20, 30 are attached to the action surfaces 61, 62.

[0040] FIG. 4 is a front view showing an attached state in which an electrode is attached to the working surface of the adhesive strength checking device according to the first embodiment.

[0041] The electrode 20 has a tip portion located farther from the main body 10 in the first direction and a base portion located closer to the main body 10, and the tip portion side of the electrode 20 is attached to the working surface 61. The base portion side of the electrode 20 may be attached to the reference surface 63.

[0042] The electrode 30 has a tip portion located farther from the main body portion 10 in the first direction and a base portion located closer to the main body portion 10, and the tip portion side of the electrode 30 is attached to the working surface 62. The base portion side of the electrode 30 may be attached to the reference surface 63.

[0043] In the above-described attached state, a peeling force acts on the tip portions of the electrodes 20, 30 to return them to the state shown in Fig. 3. That is, a peeling force acts on the tip portions of the electrodes 20, 30 so that the holding portion 40 separates from the action surfaces 61, 62. If the adhesive strength of the electrodes 20, 30 (more specifically, the adhesive portion) has weakened due to long-term use, the electrodes 20, 30 will separate from the action surfaces 61, 62 in accordance with the adhesive strength. By visually checking the degree of separation, the user can confirm the adhesive strength of the electrodes 20, 30.

[0044] The peeling force acts, for example, by the electrode pad, including the electrodes 20, 30 and the holding portion 40, restoring to its original shape due to elasticity. If the electrode pad has weak elasticity or the initial adhesive strength of the adhesive portion is strong, resulting in only a small amount of peeling of the electrodes 20, 30 even when the adhesive strength weakens with long-term use, stress may be applied in the direction opposite to the adhesive force. Specifically, the reference surface 63 may be oriented downward and slightly sideways to allow gravity to act on the electrodes 20, 30. Furthermore, the working surfaces 61, 62 may be provided with an elastic member that generates stress against the adhesive force. The elastic member is provided on the working surfaces 61, 62 so as to face the distal end of the electrode 30 in the attached state. When the working surfaces 61, 62 are provided with an elastic member, the working surfaces 61, 62 and the reference surface 63 may be flat and located on the same plane. Furthermore, the above-described elastic member may be provided even when the electrodes 20, 30 and the holding portion 40 are not flexible.

[0045] As described above, in the adhesive strength checking device 50 according to the present embodiment, the adhesive strength of the electrodes 20, 30 can be checked by attaching the electrodes 20, 30 to the working surfaces 61, 62 and visually checking the lifted state of the electrodes 20, 30. As a result, the adhesive strength of the electrodes 20, 30 can be checked with a simple configuration.

[0046] In the above description, an example was given in which the main body 10 is placed on the reference surface 63 and then the electrodes 20, 30 are attached to the action surfaces 61, 62, but the electrodes 20, 30 may also be attached to the action surfaces 61, 62 at the same time as the main body 10 is placed on the reference surface 63.

[0047] (Embodiment 2) Fig. 5 is a perspective view showing a state in which a low-frequency therapy device is placed in an adhesive strength checking device according to embodiment 2. An adhesive strength checking device 50A according to embodiment 2 will be described with reference to Fig. 5 .

[0048] 5, the adhesive strength checking device 50A according to the second embodiment differs from the adhesive strength checking device 50 according to the first embodiment mainly in that it includes a checking unit 70 that can check the amount of peeling of the electrode. The other configurations are substantially the same.

[0049] The adhesive strength checking device 50A has a main body 51 and a plurality of wall portions 52 to 55. The main body 51 has a block shape, and has a shape substantially similar to that of the adhesive strength checking device 50 of the first embodiment. The plurality of wall portions 52 to 55 are provided so as to surround the main body 51. The plurality of wall portions 52 to 55 are provided so as to protrude above the joining portion 60.

[0050] The walls 54 and 55 are provided to face each other in the first direction. The wall 54 is provided at an end of the main body 51 located on one side in the first direction. The wall 55 is provided at an end of the main body 51 located on the other side in the first direction.

[0051] The walls 52, 53 are arranged to face each other in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The wall 52 is arranged at an end of the main body 51 located on one side of the second direction. The wall 53 is arranged at an end of the main body 51 located on the other side of the second direction. The second direction is also perpendicular to the up-down direction. The up-down direction is parallel to the direction in which the adhesive strength confirmation device 50A and the electrotherapy device 1 are aligned when the adhesive strength confirmation device 50A is placed on the electrotherapy device 1. When the reference plane 63 is parallel to the horizontal direction, the up-down direction is the direction perpendicular to the reference plane 63. A confirmation unit 70 is provided on the wall 52.

[0052] FIG. 6 is a diagram showing a checking unit for checking the amount of peeling of an electrode in an adhesive strength checking device according to the second embodiment.

[0053] The confirmation portion 70 includes a light-transmitting portion 71 and a scale 72. The light-transmitting portion 71 is provided so that the tip of the electrode 30 can be visually confirmed. For example, an acrylic plate can be used as the light-transmitting portion 71. The scale 72 is provided next to the light-transmitting portion 71 and indicates the amount by which the tip is separated from the action surface 62. Note that the scale 72 may be provided on the light-transmitting portion 71 itself.

[0054] Generally, the adhesive strength of the electrode 30 weakens over time as the number of uses increases or as the period of use elapses. The position of the scale indicated by the tip of the electrode 30 changes depending on the strength of the adhesive strength. When a strong adhesive strength is maintained, the tip of the electrode 30 is located at the lowest position. As the adhesive strength weakens, the tip of the electrode 30 points to a scale located further upward. In this way, the amount of peeling of the electrode 30 can be confirmed using the scale 72. Note that, although the above description exemplifies a case in which the scale is oriented perpendicular to the reference surface 63, the direction is not limited thereto and may be parallel to the reference surface 63.

[0055] Even when configured as described above, the adhesive strength checking device 50A according to the second embodiment can obtain substantially the same effects as those of the first embodiment. By providing the checking unit 70, the current adhesive strength can be checked more accurately.

[0056] (Embodiment 3) Fig. 7 is a front view showing a state in which a low-frequency therapy device is placed on an adhesive strength checking device according to embodiment 3. An adhesive strength checking device 50B according to embodiment 3 will be described with reference to Fig. 7 .

[0057] 7, the adhesive strength checking device 50B according to the third embodiment is different from the adhesive strength checking device 50 according to the first embodiment in that it includes a checking unit 70B that can check the amount of peeling of the electrode. The other configurations are substantially the same.

[0058] The confirmation unit 70B includes a first unit 73 that measures the amount of peeling of the electrode 20, and a second unit 74 that measures the amount of peeling of the electrode 30. The first unit 73 and the second unit 74 each have a plurality of distance sensors 75. The plurality of distance sensors 75 are, for example, arranged side by side in the first direction. The plurality of distance sensors 75 are arranged so as to be located below the electrodes 20, 30 when the electrodes 20, 30 are attached. The plurality of distance sensors 75 are, for example, embedded in the main body 51.

[0059] Each of the plurality of distance sensors 75 is provided so as to be able to measure the distance in the up-down direction from the distance sensor 75 to the electrode 30. As the plurality of distance sensors 75, for example, ultrasonic sensors that can detect the distance to an object in a non-contact manner can be used.

[0060] As the adhesive strength weakens, the distance between the distance sensor 75 and the electrode 30 increases. By measuring this distance, the amount of peeling of the electrode 30 can be confirmed.

[0061] Even when configured as described above, the adhesive strength checking device 50B according to the third embodiment can obtain substantially the same effects as those of the first embodiment. By providing the checking unit 70B, the current adhesive strength can be checked more accurately.

[0062] (Embodiment 4) Fig. 8 is a front view showing a state in which a low-frequency treatment device is placed on an adhesive strength checking device according to embodiment 4. An adhesive strength checking device 50C according to embodiment 4 will be described with reference to Fig. 8 .

[0063] 8, the adhesive strength checking device 50C according to the fourth embodiment is different from the adhesive strength checking device 50 according to the first embodiment in that it includes a checking unit 70C that can check the amount of peeling of the electrode. The other configurations are substantially the same.

[0064] The confirmation unit 70C includes a first unit 73 that measures the amount of peeling of the electrode 20, and a second unit 74 that measures the amount of peeling of the electrode 30. The plurality of distance sensors 75 may be provided on the action surfaces 61, 62, for example.

[0065] Each of the plurality of distance sensors 75 is, for example, a contact-type electrode sensor, and can measure the impedance (resistance value) and capacitance of the electrodes 20, 30. By measuring the impedance, which changes depending on the contact state of the electrodes 20, 30, the amount of peeling of the electrodes 20, 30 can be confirmed.

[0066] Even when configured as described above, the adhesive strength checking device 50C according to embodiment 4 can obtain substantially the same effects as those of embodiment 1. By providing the checking unit 70C, the current adhesive strength can be checked more accurately.

[0067] (Embodiment 5) Fig. 9 is a perspective view showing an adhesive strength checking device according to embodiment 5. An adhesive strength checking device 50D according to embodiment 5 will be described with reference to Fig. 9 .

[0068] 9, the adhesive strength checking device 50D according to the fifth embodiment differs from the adhesive strength checking device 50 according to the first embodiment in the shape of the pasting section 60D. The other configurations are substantially the same.

[0069] In the attachment portion 60D, the action surface 61, the reference surface 63, and the action surface 62 are arranged in this order in the second direction. The action surface 61 is arranged on one side of the reference surface 63 in the second direction. The action surface 62 is arranged on the other side of the reference surface 63 in the second direction.

[0070] In this case, the ends of the electrodes 20, 30 located on one side of the second direction are attached to the working surface 61, and the ends of the electrodes 20, 30 located on the other side of the second direction are attached to the working surface 62.

[0071] Even when configured as described above, the adhesive strength checking device 50D according to the fifth embodiment can achieve substantially the same effects as those of the first embodiment.

[0072] (Embodiment 6) Fig. 10 is a perspective view showing an adhesive strength checking device according to embodiment 6. An adhesive strength checking device 50E according to embodiment 6 will be described with reference to Fig. 10 .

[0073] 10, the adhesive strength checking device 50E according to the sixth embodiment differs from the adhesive strength checking device 50 according to the first embodiment in the shape of the pasting section 60E. The other configurations are substantially the same.

[0074] In the attachment portion 60E, each of the action surfaces 61 and 62 includes a stepped portion that decreases in position from the side closer to the reference surface 63 to the side farther from the reference surface 63.

[0075] Even when configured as described above, the adhesive strength checking device 50E according to the sixth embodiment can achieve substantially the same effects as those of the first embodiment.

[0076] (Embodiment 7) Fig. 11 is a front view showing a state in which a low-frequency treatment device is placed on an adhesive strength checking device according to embodiment 7. An adhesive strength checking device 50F according to embodiment 7 will be described with reference to Fig. 11 .

[0077] 11, adhesive strength confirmation device 50F according to embodiment 7 differs from adhesive strength confirmation device 50 according to embodiment 1 in that a part of electrotherapy device 1 is provided so as to be fixable. The other configurations are substantially the same.

[0078] The adhesive strength checking device 50F according to the seventh embodiment is provided with an engagement portion 65. The engagement portion 65 is provided, for example, on the reference surface 63. The engagement portion 65 is provided so as to be able to engage with the main body 10. The engagement portion 65 is, for example, a protrusion that protrudes from the reference surface 63. The protrusion is provided so as to fit into an engagement recess provided in the main body 10. The engagement portion 65 engages with the main body 10, thereby positioning the main body 10. This makes it possible to prevent the electrotherapy device 1 from moving while the adhesive strength of the electrodes 20, 30 is being checked.

[0079] (Embodiment 8) Fig. 12 is a perspective view showing a state in which an electrotherapeutic device is placed on an adhesive strength checking device according to embodiment 8. An adhesive strength checking device 50F according to embodiment 8 will be described with reference to Fig. 12 .

[0080] 12, adhesive strength confirmation device 50F according to embodiment 8 differs from adhesive strength confirmation device 50D according to embodiment 5 in that fixing device 56 is provided. Also, an electrotherapy device 1A including main body 10, two electrode pads 25, and two lead cords 27 may be used.

[0081] The main body 2 is located apart from the two electrode pads 25, and each of the two electrode pads 25 is connected to the main body 10 by a lead cord 27. The lead cord 27 has a connector portion 26 and can be detachably attached to the electrode pad 25. One electrode pad 25 has the above-mentioned electrode 20 and a first holding portion 41, and the other electrode pad 25 has the above-mentioned electrode 30 and a second holding portion 42. The first holding portion 41 and the second holding portion 42 are formed independently of each other, and the two electrode pads 25 are provided so as to be able to move independently of each other.

[0082] In such a case, as shown in FIG. 12 , only one of the electrode pads 25 may be attached to the adhesive strength confirmation device 50F. In this case, the electrode pad 25 is attached so as to straddle the reference surface 63 and the working surface 61 or 62. In this case, a portion of the electrotherapy device 1A (specifically, a portion of the electrode pad 25) may be fixed to a fixing device 56. The fixing device 56 is provided on the reference surface 63. For example, a string-like member such as a rubber band or a cord may be used as the fixing device 56. In this case, the end of the electrode pad 25 is pressed against the reference surface 63 with the string-like member. Note that adhesive tape or the like may be used as the fixing device 56 instead of a string-like member. Alternatively, the fixing device 56 may be omitted, and the electrode pad 25 may be fixed by the user pressing the end of the electrode pad 25 against the reference surface 63.

[0083] Note that Figure 12 illustrates an example in which the electrode pad 25 is attached to the adhesive strength confirmation device 50F while connected to the lead cord 27, but the lead cord 27 may be removed and only the electrode pad 25 may be attached.

[0084] (Other Modifications) The adhesive strength checking device may have a first surface and a second surface facing each other, and may be configured such that the electrode 20 is attached to the first surface and the electrode 30 is attached to the second surface with the holding portion 40 bent into a roughly U-shape.

[0085] In the above description, an example has been given in which the peeling force is adjusted by providing a difference in height between the working surfaces 61, 62, but this is not limitative, and the peeling force may also be adjusted by performing a surface treatment on the working surfaces 61, 62. For example, the surface roughness of the working surfaces 61, 62 on the side farther from the reference surface 63 may be smaller than the surface roughness of the working surfaces 61, 62 on the side closer to the reference surface 63.
