Abstract
Description
STENCILS FOR MEDICAL INJECTIONTECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present disclosure generally relates to drug delivery, and particularly, to medical injection.BACKGROUND ART
[0002] Transdermal drug delivery (TDD) is a noninvasive transportation of drugs across patients’ skins and may have several advantages over traditional methods, such as oral drug delivery or hypodermic injection. TDD may provide a simple yet reliable mechanism for administering drugs. In addition, TDD may be self-administered due to its noninvasive and painless nature.
[0003] Stencils may be potential aiding tools for facilitating self-administered TDD. Currently, stencils are utilized for tattoo and cosmetic applications [US Patents no. 9,433,277 B2 and 11,452,855 B2], However, application of stencils in self-administered TDD may face serious challenges since high precision may be necessary in choosing appropriate location and dosage of medicine that is to be delivered to a subject’s body.
[0004] There is, therefore, a need for stencils that may provide appropriate locations for medical injection that may be easily utilized for self-administered TDD. There is further a need for stencils that may provide instructions for appropriate dosage of medicine that can be delivered in self-administered TDD.SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE
