Description

Ammonia treatment system for ammonia engines

[0001] The present invention relates to an ammonia treatment system for an ammonia engine, and to a system for treating ammonia generated from an ammonia engine.

[0002] Various means of transportation exist in the industrial sector. For example, vehicles can be used for ground transportation, ships for water transportation, and aircraft for air transportation.

[0003] The above-mentioned means of transportation can obtain power for movement in various ways. Typically, the above-mentioned means of transportation may include a body forming an exterior, and an internal combustion engine installed within the body that generates power by burning fuel.

[0004] The above-mentioned internal combustion engine, or engine, emits exhaust gas generated after fuel combustion. However, this exhaust gas contains various harmful substances generated after fuel combustion, which can pose a significant environmental pollution problem.

[0005] Various attempts are being made to address this issue. For example, to suppress the generation of harmful substances containing carbon compounds generated by the combustion of petroleum fuels, eco-friendly fuels can be used in conjunction with or as a replacement for petroleum fuels.

[0006] The aforementioned eco-friendly fuels can vary. For example, engines can generate power by burning ammonia fuel, either alongside or in place of petroleum fuel. Engines that use fuel containing ammonia are referred to as ammonia engines.

[0007] Meanwhile, the ammonia engine may not consume all of the supplied ammonia, and some of the ammonia may be recovered. For example, a portion of the ammonia supplied in excess to maintain the pressure of the ammonia engine or for cooling purposes may be recovered from the ammonia engine.

[0008] Ammonia recovered from an ammonia engine can be supplied to the ammonia engine again through the ammonia supply line and used, but some of it cannot be reused and may be disposed of.

[0009] Waste ammonia can be harmful if directly exposed to the environment, and therefore, waste ammonia needs to be properly disposed of and discharged outside the ammonia engine system.

[0010] Related document KR 10-2023-0030937 A1 discloses a treatment system for the disposal of ammonia gas. The treatment system of the related document provides clean water to ammonia gas to produce ammonia water that absorbs the ammonia gas, and reduces ammonia gas emitted into the air by disposing of the ammonia water.

[0011] However, even if ammonia gas is treated and handled as ammonia water, the ammonia water is also a substance that must be avoided from being directly discharged into the environment, so there is still the problem of disposal of the ammonia water.

[0012] Therefore, effectively treating and efficiently utilizing waste ammonia generated from ammonia engines that use ammonia as fuel, thereby reducing the amount of ammonia subject to disposal, has become an important task in this technical field.

[0073] Meanwhile, FIG. 3 illustrates a basic system of an ammonia engine (10) according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0074] An ammonia engine (10) according to one embodiment of the present invention may be installed in a body (1) that forms the exterior of a moving object such as a vehicle, a ship, an airplane, etc. However, as described above, it may also be installed inside a stationary object such as a power plant.

[0075] An ammonia engine (10) can be driven by consuming fuel containing ammonia. The ammonia engine (10) can be operated using only ammonia as fuel, but can also use a fuel mixed with ammonia and various other fuels such as gasoline, diesel, NP gas, NG gas, etc.

[0085] One embodiment of the present invention may include an ammonia recovery unit (300) in which ammonia not consumed in an ammonia engine (10) is recovered.

[0086] The ammonia supplied to the ammonia engine (10) may not be completely consumed by the ammonia engine (10). For example, ammonia may be supplied to the ammonia engine (10) in excess of the consumption amount of the ammonia engine (10) to maintain the pressure of the ammonia supplied to the ammonia engine (10), to be used as a coolant for the ammonia engine (10), or unintentionally.

[0087] Furthermore, even if ammonia is supplied in an amount that matches the consumption of the ammonia engine (10), some of the ammonia may remain without being consumed due to various reasons such as the operating environment of the ammonia engine (10).

[0088] In one embodiment of the present invention, the ammonia recovery unit (300) can recover ammonia that is not consumed in the ammonia engine (10). The recovered ammonia recovered from the ammonia engine (10) can be delivered to the ammonia recovery unit (300) through a recovery line (305) connected to the ammonia engine (10).

[0092] The above-mentioned cleaning water is used to produce ammonia water, which will be described later, and may be clean water that has not been used for other purposes. However, the cleaning water does not necessarily have to be clean water; it may be water that has been used for other purposes and then reused, if necessary.

[0093] Meanwhile, an ammonia treatment system for an ammonia engine according to one embodiment of the present invention may include an exhaust purification unit (200). The exhaust purification unit (200) may supply water to the exhaust line (35) of the ammonia engine (10) to produce treated water that absorbs harmful substances in the exhaust gas.

[0094] The exhaust purification unit (200) may be a part of the exhaust unit (30). The exhaust purification unit (200) may be provided in the exhaust line (35). The exhaust purification unit (200) may be provided to reduce harmful substances from exhaust gas flowing through the exhaust line (35).

[0095] The exhaust gas purification unit (200) can reduce harmful substances in exhaust gas in various ways. For example, the exhaust gas purification unit (200) can purify exhaust gas by generating treated water that absorbs harmful substances in the exhaust gas. The specific purification process of the exhaust gas purification unit (200) will be described below.

[0096] An ammonia treatment system of an ammonia engine according to one embodiment of the present invention may include an ammonia water generation unit (400). The ammonia water generation unit (400) may generate ammonia water from ammonia gas supplied from the ammonia recovery unit (300).

[0097] The ammonia water generating unit (400) can receive the cleaning water from the cleaning water supply unit (600). Additionally, if necessary, the treated water can be supplied from the exhaust purification unit (200).

[0098] The ammonia water generating unit (400) can generate the ammonia water by providing the ammonia gas to the washing water and / or the treated water. The ammonia water generating unit (400) can be connected to the washing water supply unit (600) through the washing water line (605) to receive the washing water. The ammonia water generating unit (400) can be connected to the exhaust purification unit (200) through the treated water delivery line (225) to receive the treated water.

[0099] If the ammonia generating unit (400) is connected only to the cleaning water supply unit (600), the treated water delivery line (225) may be omitted.

[0100] The ammonia water generating unit (400) can receive the recovered ammonia from the ammonia recovery unit (300). The ammonia water generating unit (400) can be connected to the ammonia recovery unit (300) through the recovery branch line (306). The ammonia water generating unit (400) can receive the ammonia from the ammonia recovery unit (300) through the recovery branch line (306).

[0101] One embodiment of the present invention can remove at least a portion of the ammonia gas among the remaining ammonia not consumed in the ammonia engine (10) through the ammonia water generating unit (400). This can reduce the amount of ammonia gas emitted during operation of the ammonia engine (10).

[0102] The ammonia water generator (400) can remove ammonia gas in various ways. For example, the ammonia water generator (400) can remove ammonia gas by absorbing it into water. The ammonia water that has absorbed ammonia gas can be stored / stored and then discarded, or can be utilized and consumed in various ways, as described below.

[0103] The ammonia water generation unit (400) can generate ammonia water by providing the ammonia gas to the treated water as well as the washing water and absorbing the ammonia gas. Accordingly, the amount of ammonia gas emitted into the air can be significantly reduced.

[0104] Furthermore, in one embodiment of the present invention, if the water used to produce ammonia water is treated water used to remove harmful substances from exhaust gas rather than the aforementioned cleaning water, there is an advantage in terms of recycling wastewater.

[0105] In addition, the treated water may have acidity by absorbing harmful substances including carbon oxides and / or nitrogen oxides in the exhaust, and the ammonia water that absorbs ammonia may have alkalinity depending on the characteristics of the ammonia. Therefore, by absorbing ammonia in the treated water that has acidity, the neutralization of the ammonia water produced can be achieved, which can be advantageous in terms of environmental issues during disposal and safety issues during handling.

[0106] Meanwhile, the ammonia treatment system of an ammonia engine according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a control unit (50).

[0107] The control unit (50) may be provided to control at least one of the ammonia engine (10), the ammonia supply unit (100), the exhaust purification unit (200), the ammonia recovery unit (300), and the ammonia water generation unit (400). The control unit (50) may be composed of a single control module or multiple control modules.

[0108] For example, in one embodiment of the present invention, the control unit (50) can control the ammonia supply unit (100) to supply ammonia to the ammonia engine (10), control the ammonia engine (10) to operate, control the ammonia recovery unit (300) to recover ammonia or adjust the recovery amount, control the exhaust purification unit (200) to generate treated water or adjust the generated amount, and control the ammonia water generation unit (400) to generate ammonia water or adjust the amount of ammonia water.

[0109] Meanwhile, FIG. 5 illustrates an exhaust purification unit (200) provided in an exhaust line (35) in one embodiment of the present invention.

[0111] The exhaust purification unit (200) may include a water treatment unit (210) that supplies water to the exhaust gas. The water treatment unit (210) may be provided in a purification line (205) that supplies water directly to the exhaust line (35) or branches off from the exhaust line (35) and bypasses a point of the exhaust line (35).

[0112] When a purification line (205) is provided, a water treatment unit (210) is provided in the purification line (205) to supply water to the exhaust gas flowing through the purification line (205) and recover it again. The water treatment unit (210) can be connected to a purified water supply line (215) through which water to be provided to the exhaust gas is supplied.

[0113] The purified water supplied to the water treatment unit (210) through the purified water supply line (215) can be provided to the exhaust gas to absorb harmful substances in the exhaust gas.

[0114] The water treatment unit (210) can absorb harmful substances into purified water in various ways. For example, the water treatment unit (210) can absorb harmful substances in the exhaust gas into the purified water by spraying or flowing the purified water into a chamber connected to the purification line (205) to bring the exhaust gas into contact with the purified water.

[0115] The purified water supplied to the water treatment unit (210) through the purified water supply line (215) may be the aforementioned clean water, but is not necessarily limited thereto, and may be water generated for a specific purpose, if necessary. [0121] The scrubber (420) can be connected to the recovery line (305) of the ammonia recovery unit (300) to receive ammonia, but is not necessarily limited thereto, and can be connected to the aforementioned recovery branch line (306) to receive ammonia.

[0122] Additionally, the scrubber (420) can receive cleaning water and / or treated water from the cleaning water supply unit (600) and / or the exhaust purification unit (200).

[0123] The scrubber (420) may include a chamber in which ammonia exists, and may spray or flow the cleaning water and / or the treatment water into the chamber. Through this, ammonia may be absorbed into the cleaning water and / or the treatment water that comes into contact with the ammonia, thereby generating ammonia water.

[0124] Meanwhile, FIG. 7 illustrates an ammonia treatment system of an ammonia engine including an ammonia recovery unit (300), an exhaust purification unit (200), and an ammonia water generation unit (400) according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0125] Referring to FIG. 7, the ammonia engine (10) can be connected to an ammonia supply unit (100) through a supply line (105), and can generate power by receiving ammonia from the ammonia supply unit (100) and consuming it.

[0126] The ammonia supply unit (100) may include an ammonia tank (110) in which ammonia is stored. The ammonia tank (110) may be connected to the supply line (105). [0127] The ammonia supply unit (100) may include an ammonia heating unit (120), and the ammonia heating unit (120) may be provided in a supply line (105) or the like to heat ammonia fuel flowing toward the ammonia engine (10).

[0128] By heating the ammonia fuel according to the requirements of the ammonia engine (10) through the ammonia heating unit (120), the lubricating oil temperature of the ammonia engine (10) can be maintained at an appropriate level, thereby improving the operating efficiency of the ammonia engine (10).

[0129] The ammonia supply unit (100) may include a high-pressure pump (185) that increases the pressure of the ammonia fuel. The high-pressure pump (185) may create a higher pressure than the supply pump (180) for the ammonia fuel flowing through the supply line (105).

[0130] The high pressure pump (185) may be located at a point of the supply line (105). When the pressure of the ammonia fuel is increased to meet the requirements of the ammonia engine (10) by the high pressure pump (185), the vaporization of ammonia can be suppressed and the operating efficiency of the ammonia engine (10) can be improved.

[0131] Meanwhile, the ammonia recovery unit (300) may be provided in the aforementioned recovery line (305) or may be defined to include the recovery line (305). The ammonia recovery unit (300) or the recovery line (305) may connect the ammonia engine (10) to the supply line (105) and / or the ammonia supply unit (100).

[0132] For example, the recovery line (305) connects the ammonia engine (10) and the ammonia supply unit (100), and ammonia recovered from the ammonia engine (10) can flow to the ammonia supply unit (100).

[0133] Cases in which ammonia is recovered from an ammonia engine (10) may include cases in which the ammonia engine (10) is normally stopped, and cases in which the ammonia engine (10) must be stopped in an emergency.

[0134] In some ammonia engines (10), ammonia may be recovered even when the ammonia engine (10) is operating normally. For another example, in some other ammonia engines (10), ammonia may not be recovered when the ammonia engine (10) is operating normally.

[0135] The ammonia engine (10) of the present invention may include an ammonia engine (10) that includes both a case where ammonia is recovered during normal operation and a case where ammonia is not recovered.

[0136] The ammonia recovery unit (300) may include a collection tank (310). The collection tank (310) may separate ammonia gas in a gaseous state and ammonia liquid in a liquid state from ammonia recovered from an ammonia engine (10).

[0137] The ammonia recovered from the ammonia engine (10) may be in a mixed gaseous and liquid form and may include oil provided to at least a portion of the ammonia engine (10). The oil may be, for example, lubricating oil or cooling oil supplied to an ammonia fuel injector. In another example, the ammonia recovered from the ammonia engine (10) may not be included in the oil.

[0138] As described above, ammonia recovered from an ammonia engine can exist in various forms, and the collection tank (310) of the ammonia recovery unit (300) is connected to the recovery line (305) to receive recovered ammonia and separate gas and liquid from the recovered ammonia.

[0139] The liquid ammonia solution can be supplied back to the supply line (105) through the recovery line (305) and resupplied to the ammonia engine (10). A recovery temperature control unit (320) can be provided at the rear end of the collection tank (310) in the recovery line (305).

[0140] Ammonia supplied from the ammonia recovery unit (300) back to the supply line (105) has its temperature controlled to meet the required value of the ammonia engine (10) through the recovery temperature control unit (320), thereby improving the efficiency of the ammonia engine (10).

[0141] The collection tank (310) may be provided to condense ammonia gas in a gaseous state to produce ammonia liquid and flow it to the recovery line (305).

[0142] Meanwhile, the recovery line (305) may form a closed circulation line through which recovered ammonia is supplied to the ammonia engine (10) together with a portion of the supply line (105). Furthermore, the ammonia recovery unit (300) may include a recovery branch line (306) branched from the recovery line (305) and connected to the ammonia water generation unit (400) described above.

[0143] The recovery branch line (306) can connect the recovery line (305) and the ammonia water generation unit (400), and can be a path through which some of the recovered ammonia flows toward the ammonia water generation unit (400).

[0144] The ammonia water generating unit (400) can be supplied with ammonia by being connected to the ammonia recovery unit (300) through the recovery branch line (306) or the like. In one embodiment of the present invention, the ammonia water generating unit (400) can include a gas separator (410) in which recovered ammonia supplied from the ammonia recovery unit (300) is stored.

[0145] The gas separator (410) can receive ammonia from the ammonia recovery unit (300) and separate it into ammonia gas and ammonia liquid. The gas separator (410) is connected to a recovery branch line (306) branched from the recovery line (305) and can receive ammonia from the ammonia recovery unit (300).

[0146] A gas separator (410) may be provided to separate ammonia gas from the recovered ammonia. The gas separator (410) may supply the ammonia gas separated from the recovered ammonia to the aforementioned scrubber (420). The ammonia water generating unit (400) may include an ammonia gas delivery line (416) that connects the gas separator (410) and the scrubber (420).

[0147] The gas separator (410) can deliver ammonia gas to the scrubber (420) through the ammonia gas delivery line (416), and the collected ammonia liquid can be supplied to the ammonia recovery unit (300) or the ammonia supply unit (100).

[0148] The gas separator (410) may be connected to the ammonia recovery unit (300) or the ammonia supply unit (100) through the ammonia liquid return line (415). The ammonia liquid collected in the gas separator (410) may be delivered to the ammonia recovery unit (300), the ammonia supply unit (100), the supply line (105), etc. through the ammonia liquid return line (415).

[0149] FIG. 7 illustrates an ammonia liquid return line (415) that connects a gas separator (410) and a collection tank (310) of an ammonia recovery unit (300) as an embodiment of the present invention. Ammonia liquid delivered from the gas separator (410) to the collection tank (310) can be resupplied to the ammonia engine (10) through the return line (305).

[0150] However, the ammonia liquid collected in the gas separator (410) is not necessarily limited to being supplied to the collection tank (310), and may be supplied to various configurations of the ammonia recovery unit (300) and the ammonia supply unit (100) as needed.

[0151] As described above, the scrubber (420) can absorb ammonia gas into the cleaning water and / or the treated water to produce ammonia water. The scrubber (420) can receive ammonia gas from the gas separation unit through the ammonia gas delivery line (416).

[0152] Meanwhile, FIG. 8 illustrates an ammonia treatment system of an ammonia engine equipped with an ammonia water injection unit (510) and a nitrogen oxide reduction unit (500) in an exhaust line (35) according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0153] One embodiment of the present invention can reduce ammonia gas emitted into the atmosphere by using an ammonia water generation unit (400). Replacing ammonia gas with ammonia water and handling or disposing of it has advantageous aspects. However, ammonia water generated by the ammonia water generation unit (400) cannot be discharged without restriction and may require treatment or handling for disposal.

[0154] One embodiment of the present invention can reduce nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas by consuming ammonia water. For example, in one embodiment of the present invention, ammonia water generated in an ammonia water generating unit (400) can be supplied to an exhaust line (35), and a nitrogen oxide reduction unit (500) that removes nitrogen oxides from exhaust gas mixed with ammonia water can be provided in the exhaust line (35).

[0155] Figure 9 conceptually illustrates a process in which nitrogen oxides are removed through a nitrogen oxide reduction unit (500) while ammonia water is supplied to exhaust gas.

[0156] Referring to Fig. 9, an ammonia water injection unit (510) for supplying ammonia water to the exhaust gas may be provided in the exhaust line (35) through which the exhaust gas generated after combustion in the ammonia engine (10) flows.

[0157] The ammonia water injection unit (510) can receive ammonia water through an ammonia water delivery line that connects the ammonia water generation unit (400) and the ammonia water injection unit (510). The ammonia water injection unit (510) is provided in the exhaust line (35) and can inject the ammonia water supplied from the ammonia water generation unit (400) into the exhaust gas.

[0158] Exhaust gas mixed with ammonia water can flow downstream of the ammonia water injection unit (510) in the exhaust line (35). A nitrogen oxide reduction unit (500) can be arranged downstream of the ammonia water injection unit (510) in the exhaust line (35).

[0159] A nitrogen oxide reduction unit (500) is provided in the exhaust line (35) and can remove nitrogen oxides from the exhaust gas mixed with the ammonia water. The nitrogen oxide reduction unit (500) can change nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas into non-hazardous substances such as nitrogen, oxygen, and water through a catalytic reaction or the like.

[0160] Specifically, nitrogen oxides (N0x) can be removed by chemically reacting with ammonia water containing ammonia (NH3) and water (H20) and changing into forms such as nitrogen (N2), oxygen (O2), and water.

[0161] The nitrogen oxide reduction unit (500) may include a catalyst for the chemical reaction, and thus, nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas passing through the nitrogen oxide reduction unit (500) may be converted into nitrogen or oxygen, etc. and removed by reacting with ammonia water through a catalytic reaction, etc.

[0162] Referring again to FIG. 8, the nitrogen oxide reduction unit (500) may be located downstream of the ammonia injection unit (510) in the exhaust line (35). In FIG. 8, the exhaust purification unit (200) is depicted as being located upstream of the ammonia injection unit (510), but this is not necessarily limited thereto.

[0163] The ammonia water delivery line may be provided to connect the ammonia water injection unit (510) and the ammonia water generation unit (400) and allow the ammonia water to flow. The ammonia water delivery line may be connected to, for example, a scrubber (420) of the ammonia water generation unit.

[0164] The above ammonia water delivery line may be equipped with an ammonia water valve (408) whose opening rate is controlled, and the ammonia water valve (408) may be directly controlled by the user or controlled by the control unit (50) described above.

[0165] Meanwhile, FIG. 10 illustrates an ammonia water generation unit (400) including an ammonia water storage tank (430).

[0166] The ammonia water storage tank (430) can receive and store the ammonia water from the scrubber (420). However, in one embodiment of the present invention, the means for generating the ammonia water is not necessarily limited to the scrubber (420), and therefore, the ammonia water storage tank (430) can be connected to a generating means for generating the ammonia water in addition to the scrubber (420).

[0167] The ammonia water storage tank (430) can store ammonia water generated from a scrubber (420) or the like. The ammonia water storage tank (430) can be installed in an ammonia water line (405). The ammonia water storage tank (430) can be connected to the scrubber (420) or the like through an ammonia water line (405).

[0168] The above ammonia water storage tank (430) is connected to the ammonia water injection unit (510) through the ammonia water line (405) and can supply the ammonia water to the ammonia water injection unit (510).

[0169] When ammonia water is supplied from the scrubber (420) to the ammonia water injection unit (510), the amount of ammonia water produced may not keep up with the amount of ammonia water consumed, and the ammonia concentration of the ammonia water may increase depending on the situation, which may be disadvantageous.

[0170] In one embodiment of the present invention, the ammonia water generating unit (400) may include an ammonia water storage tank (430) that stores ammonia water generated from a scrubber (420), etc., and the ammonia water injection unit (510) receives ammonia water through the ammonia water storage tank (430), thereby effectively securing the supply amount of ammonia water and significantly reducing the fluctuation range of ammonia concentration.

[0171] Meanwhile, in one embodiment of the present invention, an ammonia water pump (480) for flowing ammonia water may be provided in the ammonia water line (405). The ammonia water pump (480) may be placed downstream of the ammonia water storage tank (430).

[0172] That is, the ammonia water generation unit (400) and the ammonia water injection unit (510) are connected, and an ammonia water pump (480) that controls the pressure of the ammonia water may be provided in the ammonia water line (405) through which the ammonia water flows.

[0173] Meanwhile, FIG. 11 illustrates an ammonia treatment system of an ammonia engine equipped with an additional ammonia supply line (106) in one embodiment of the present invention.

[0174] In one embodiment of the present invention, the ammonia injection unit may be provided to directly supply and inject ammonia from the ammonia supply unit (100) in addition to the ammonia water generation unit (400) described above.

[0175] That is, the exhaust line (35) may be equipped with an ammonia injection unit that is connected to the ammonia supply unit (100) and injects ammonia into the exhaust gas. In other words, the ammonia supply unit (100) may supply ammonia liquid to the ammonia injection unit.

[0176] The ammonia injection unit may be arranged adjacent to the ammonia water injection unit (510). However, if necessary, the ammonia injection unit may be omitted, and the ammonia water injection unit (510) may be arranged to inject both the ammonia supplied through the ammonia supply unit and the ammonia water supplied through the ammonia water generation unit (400).

[0177] Specifically, depending on the concentration of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas, the amount of ammonia produced, or the ammonia concentration in the ammonia water, the ammonia water generated in the ammonia water generating unit (400) alone may not provide an appropriate level of ammonia to the exhaust gas.

[0178] Accordingly, in one embodiment of the present invention, the ammonia supply unit (100) may be arranged to directly supply ammonia stored in the ammonia tank (110) to the exhaust line (35). The ammonia supply unit (100) may provide ammonia to the exhaust line (35) through an additional supply line (106) connected to the ammonia tank (110) or the supply line (105).

[0179] The above additional supply line (106) may be connected to an exhaust line (35), for example, an ammonia injection unit (510). However, the exhaust line (35) may be equipped with an ammonia injection unit connected to the additional supply line (106) separately from the ammonia injection unit (510) connected to the ammonia delivery line.

[0180] The additional supply line (106) may be equipped with an additional supply valve (108) whose opening rate is controlled. The additional supply valve (108) may be directly controlled by the user or the opening rate may be controlled by the control unit (50) described above.

[0181] In one embodiment of the present invention, the ammonia supply unit (100) may include a supply pump (180) and an injection pump (190).

[0182] The supply pump (180) may be provided to supply ammonia to the supply line (105) connected to the ammonia engine (10) as described above. The injection pump (190) may supply ammonia to the injection line connected to the ammonia injection unit.

[0183] The injection pump (190) may be installed at a point of the additional supply line (106). For example, the injection pump (190) may be installed with an ammonia tank (110) and connected to the additional supply line (106). The injection pump (190) may be installed in the ammonia tank (110) and supply ammonia liquid in liquid form to the ammonia water injection unit (510) or the ammonia injection unit.

[0184] However, it is not necessarily limited to this, and the ammonia supply unit (100) may be arranged to supply ammonia gas in gaseous form to the ammonia water injection unit (510) or the ammonia injection unit through an additional supply line (106).

[0185] Meanwhile, in one embodiment of the present invention, a nitrogen oxide measuring unit (520) for measuring the amount of nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gas may be provided on the downstream side of the nitrogen oxide reduction unit (500) among the exhaust lines (35). In addition, the ammonia injection unit may adjust the amount of ammonia injected according to the measurement value of the nitrogen oxide measuring unit (520).

[0186] The nitrogen oxide measuring unit (520) can measure the amount of nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gas passing through the nitrogen oxide reduction unit (500). For example, the nitrogen oxide measuring unit (520) can be provided to measure the concentration of nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gas.

[0187] Depending on the amount of nitrogen oxide measured on the downstream side of the nitrogen oxide reduction unit (500), the opening rate of the ammonia water valve (408) of the ammonia water line (405) and / or the additional supply valve (108) of the additional supply line (106) can be controlled.

[0188] The control unit (50) can receive the measurement value of the nitrogen oxide measurement unit (520), and by adjusting the opening rate of the ammonia water valve (408) and / or the additional supply valve (108) based on the measurement value, the ammonia concentration provided during exhaust or the consumption rate of ammonia water and pure ammonia can be adjusted.

[0189] Meanwhile, FIG. 12 illustrates an ammonia treatment system of an ammonia engine in which ammonia is supplied from an ammonia supply unit (100) to an ammonia water generation unit (400) according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0190] In one embodiment of the present invention, the ammonia supply unit (100) may be connected to the ammonia water generation unit (400) rather than the ammonia water injection unit (510) described above to supply ammonia. The ammonia water generation unit (400) may be connected to the ammonia supply unit (100) to receive ammonia.

[0191] The aforementioned additional supply line (106) may be provided to connect the ammonia supply unit (100) and the ammonia water generation unit (400). The ammonia supply unit (100) may be connected to the ammonia water generation unit (400) through the additional supply line (106) to supply ammonia gas to the ammonia water generation unit (400).

[0192] An additional supply line (106) may be provided to connect an ammonia tank (110) and an ammonia water storage tank (430). However, this is not necessarily limited to the above, and the additional supply line (106) may be provided to connect various configurations of an ammonia supply unit (100), such as a supply line (105), and various configurations of an ammonia water generation unit (400), such as a scrubber (420).

[0193] The ammonia supply unit (100) can supply ammonia gas generated in the ammonia tank (110) to the ammonia water storage tank (430) or the like through the additional supply line (106). The ammonia water generation unit (400) can generate ammonia water by absorbing the ammonia supplied from the ammonia supply unit (100) into cleaning water and / or treatment water. However, the ammonia supply unit (100) can also supply ammonia liquid instead of ammonia gas to the ammonia water generation unit (400).

[0194] In one embodiment of the present invention, the ammonia water generating unit (400) can generate the ammonia water by absorbing the ammonia gas supplied from the ammonia recovery unit (300) and the ammonia supplied from the ammonia supply unit (100) into the washing water.

[0195] That is, the ammonia water generation unit (400) can generate ammonia water by absorbing ammonia provided from the ammonia recovery unit (300) and / or ammonia provided from the ammonia supply unit (100) into the washing water and / or the treated water.

[0196] The absorption process of ammonia gas provided from the ammonia recovery unit (300) and the absorption process of ammonia provided from the ammonia supply unit (100) may be performed in the same configuration or in different configurations, and may be performed simultaneously or sequentially.

[0197] For example, the ammonia water generating unit (400) of the present invention may include the aforementioned scrubber (420) and ammonia water storage tank (430). The scrubber (420) may absorb ammonia gas provided from the ammonia recovery unit (300) into the cleaning water, and the ammonia water storage tank (430) may be provided to store ammonia supplied from the ammonia supply unit (100) as ammonia water.

[0198] That is, the ammonia water storage tank (430) can additionally absorb ammonia supplied from the ammonia supply unit (100) into the ammonia water stored by absorbing ammonia gas supplied from the ammonia recovery unit (300).

[0199] Accordingly, one embodiment of the present invention can primarily generate ammonia water through recovered ammonia generated from an ammonia engine (10), and secondarily control the ammonia concentration of the ammonia water through ammonia supplied from an ammonia supply unit (100).

[0200] The ammonia concentration of the ammonia water may change depending on the operating status of the ammonia engine (10) or the operating status of the scrubber (420). However, in order to efficiently treat nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas, it may be advantageous to maintain the ammonia concentration of the ammonia water at a necessary level.

[0201] Accordingly, one embodiment of the present invention supplies ammonia from an ammonia supply unit (100) to an ammonia water generation unit (400) through an additional supply line (106), and the ammonia water generation unit (400) can manage the ammonia concentration of the ammonia water to an appropriate level through the ammonia of the ammonia supply unit (100).

[0202] In one embodiment of the present invention, the ammonia water generating unit (400) may be equipped with an ammonia concentration measuring unit (432) that measures the ammonia concentration of the ammonia water in the ammonia water storage tank (430).

[0203] The ammonia concentration measuring unit (432) may be installed in the ammonia water storage tank (430). However, if necessary, it may also be installed in the scrubber (420) or the ammonia water additional storage tank (440) described later. The control unit (50) can determine the ammonia concentration of the ammonia water by receiving the measurement value of the ammonia concentration measuring unit (432).

[0204] An additional supply line (106) connecting the ammonia supply unit (100) and the ammonia water generation unit (400) may be provided with an additional supply valve (108) whose opening rate is adjusted according to the measured value of the ammonia concentration measurement unit (432).

[0205] The control unit (50) may be provided to adjust the opening rate of the additional supply valve (108) based on the measured value of the ammonia concentration measuring unit (432). Through this, the ammonia concentration of the ammonia water prepared in the ammonia water generating unit (400) can be efficiently managed.

[0206] Meanwhile, FIG. 13 illustrates an ammonia water storage tank (430) equipped with a temperature control unit (436) according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0207] In one embodiment of the present invention, the ammonia water storage tank (430) may be equipped with a temperature control unit (436) for controlling the temperature of the ammonia water. The temperature control unit (436) may be provided to control the temperature of the ammonia water stored in the ammonia water storage tank (430).

[0208] The ammonia water generation unit (400) can control the temperature of the ammonia water through the temperature control unit (436). The process in which ammonia gas is absorbed into the washing water and / or treated water corresponds to an exothermic process, and therefore, lowering the temperature of the ammonia water can be advantageous to the dissolution process of the ammonia gas.

[0209] Therefore, the ammonia water generation unit (400) can improve the efficiency of ammonia water generation by lowering or controlling the temperature of the washing water or ammonia water to an appropriate temperature through the temperature control unit (436) during the ammonia water generation process.

[0210] However, the temperature control unit (436) is not necessarily limited to being provided in the ammonia water storage tank (430), and, if necessary, the temperature control unit (436) may be provided in the cleaning water line (605), the treated water delivery line (225), the scrubber (420), the ammonia water storage tank (430), and / or the ammonia water additional storage tank (440).

[0211] Meanwhile, the temperature control unit (436) may be configured to control the temperature of the ammonia water in various ways. For example, in one embodiment of the present invention, the temperature control unit (436) may include a cooling water line (437) through which cooling water flows.

[0212] The temperature control unit (436) may be provided to control the temperature of the ammonia water through heat exchange between the cooling water flowing through the cooling water line (437) and the ammonia water.

[0213] Meanwhile, in one embodiment of the present invention, the ammonia water generation unit (400) may include an ammonia water additional storage tank (440). The ammonia water additional storage tank (440) may receive and store the ammonia water from the ammonia water storage tank (430).

[0214] In this case, the ammonia water storage tank (430) is connected to the ammonia water additional storage tank (440) through the first ammonia water line (406), and the ammonia water additional storage tank (440) can be connected to the ammonia water injection unit (510) through the second ammonia water line (407).

[0215] The first ammonia water line (406) can connect the scrubber (420) and the ammonia water storage tank (430), and the second ammonia water line (407) can connect the ammonia water storage tank (430) and the ammonia water additional storage tank (440). The ammonia water can flow in the following order: the scrubber (420), the first ammonia water line (406), the ammonia water storage tank (430), the second ammonia water line (407), and the ammonia water additional storage tank (440).

[0216] The ammonia water line (405) described above may include the first ammonia water line (406) and the second ammonia water line (407). The ammonia water storage tank (430) and the ammonia water additional storage tank (440) may be provided on the ammonia water line (405) while being spaced apart from each other.

[0217] In one embodiment of the present invention, the ammonia water generating unit (400) is provided with an ammonia water additional storage tank (440), so that the storage capacity of the ammonia water can be easily controlled and the maximum storage amount can be increased.

[0218] Furthermore, the ammonia water additional storage tank (440) can provide a relief space to reduce the unevenness of ammonia concentration in the ammonia water.

[0219] Specifically, when ammonia supplied from an ammonia supply unit is provided to the ammonia water storage tank (430) as described above, the ammonia concentration of the ammonia water may also change in the ammonia water storage tank (430) along with the scrubber (420).

[0220] In one embodiment of the present invention, ammonia water primarily generated through a scrubber (420) can be supplied with ammonia from an ammonia water storage tank (430) to secondarily control the ammonia concentration, and ammonia water with a controlled ammonia concentration in the ammonia water storage tank (430) can be stored in an ammonia water additional storage tank (440), thereby efficiently supplying ammonia water with an appropriate concentration to the ammonia water injection unit (510).

[0221] Meanwhile, when the ammonia water additional storage tank (440) is provided, the ammonia water pump (480) described above may be provided between the ammonia water storage tank (430) and the ammonia water additional storage tank (440) in the ammonia water line (405), and an ammonia water additional pump (490) for forming a flow of ammonia water may be provided on the downstream side of the ammonia water additional storage tank (440).
