[0001] NATURAL GAS LINE HYDRATE PREVENTION SYSTEM WITH HEAT TRANSFER FLUID

[0002] TECHNICAL FIELD

[0003] The invention relates to the natural gas line hydrate prevention system with heat transfer fluid, which prevents hydrate formations occurring in natural gas lines.

[0004] The invention pertains specifically to a natural gas pipeline hydrate prevention system, which receives heat energy from hot water passing through the water pipe through heat transfer and delivers this heat energy to the natural gas pipe via a lower collector and / or upper collector and / or intermediate heat transfer pipes, thus heating the natural gas pipe and consequently preventing the water inside the natural gas pipe from freezing, the system contains solid particles between 10-200 nanometers, such as colemanite, borax, AI2O3, SiOs, CuO, TiO2, SiL, boron carbide, szaybelite, and boron solid particles, which, thanks to their catalytic effect, rapidly transfer heat by evaporating, together with the heat extracted from the water pipe, during condensation after heat transfer, the nano-sized solid particles descend and collide with the inner surfaces of the upper collector and / or intermediate heat transfer pipes, enabling a slow phase transition of the heat transfer fluid.

[0005] THE KNOWN STATE OF THE TECHNIQUE

[0006] Natural gas used today is not available in pure form. In addition to its own compounds, natural gas contains many materials such as water and sulfur. Water molecules in natural gas form cage molecules with heavy hydrocarbons such as methane, propane, butane or gases such as CO2and H2S that make up natural gas. These lattice structures are called hydrates. These cage molecules are found in an ice-like solid state inside natural gas lines. When these molecules accumulate on the inner surfaces of natural gas line pipes, they cause clogging of natural gas lines. Hydrate formation in natural gas occurs under high pressure and low temperature conditions. In current technology, natural gas drying facilities are established to prevent hydrate formation in natural gas. These facilities contain elements such as coolers, separators, filters, heat exchangers, boilers and absorption towers. The installation of these facilities is costly. In addition, since the natural gas coming out of the facility cannot be completely dried, it cannot completely prevent hydrate formation.

[0007] As a result, the need for a new economical, convenient, fluid natural gas line hydrate prevention system and the lack of existing solutions for solving the above-mentioned problems existing in the current technique made it necessary to make a development in the relevant technical field.

[0008] THE PURPOSE OF THE INVENTION

[0009] The present invention relates to the natural gas line hydrate prevention system with heat transfer fluid that prevents hydrate formations occurring in natural gas lines which is developed to eliminate the above-mentioned disadvantages and bring new advantages to the relevant technical field.

[0010] The most important purpose of the invention is to include the heat transfer pipe with the heat transfer fluid that can change the phase. The phase-changing fluid transfers heat from the liquid phase to the vapor phase. After transmitting the heat, it condenses and returns. In the phase-change heat transfer system, evaporation is accelerated with the heat received, thanks to the solid particles between 10-200 nanometers such as colemanite, borax, AI2O3, SiOs, CuO, TiCh, SiL, szaybelite, boron carbide and boron. Since these nanoparticles have a catalyst effect, heat transfer is achieved quickly. After the heat transfer, these solid particles do not clump and do not stick to each other during condensation. It has a high capacity to retain heat. Thanks to these nanoparticles, heat pipes can be prepared without vacuuming. Sintering, grooving or pocketing process is not required on the inner surfaces of heat pipes. Thus, it can work vertically and horizontally without any shape restrictions. Another important purpose of the invention is to prevent the formation of hydrate in the pipes by preventing the temperatures of the natural gas lines from falling too low.

[0011] Another purpose of the invention is that the fluid that can change phase as a result of our R&D studies has a heat transfer coefficient of 16098 W / mK. Therefore, the invention provides a fast heat transfer by reacting very quickly.

[0012] Another important purpose of the invention is to reduce the pressure losses by passing the heating water only through the water pipes inside the heat exchangers.

[0013] Another important purpose of the invention is to provide savings in pumping costs in the system by reducing pressure losses.

[0014] The structural and characteristic features of the invention and all its advantages will be understood more clearly thanks to the figures given below and the detailed description written with reference to these figures and for this reason, the evaluation should be made taking into account these figures and detailed explanation.

[0028] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0029] In this detailed description, the preferred configurations of the heat transfer fluid natural gas line hydrate prevention system are explained only for a better understanding of the subject and in such a way that they do not create any limiting effects.

[0030] Figure 1- 3 shows the hydrate prevention system and details of the natural gas line with heat transfer fluid, which is the subject of the invention. In our invention, the natural gas line hydrate prevention system consists mainly of the water pipe (50), where water passage is provided, the sub-collector (20), positioned outside this water pipe (50), the upper collector (30) positioned opposite this collector, the intermediate heat transfer pipes (40) lined up between these two collectors. The water pipe (50) is located in the sub-collector (20), located on the underside of the natural gas pipe (10) to be heated, so that there are two pipes intertwined. While the hot water passes only through the water pipe (50), it does not mix with the phase-changing heat transfer fluid located outside the water pipe (50). Hot water passing through the water pipe (50) decays heat to the intermediate heat transfer pipes (40) and from there to the upper collector (30) through the evaporation of a phase-changing, non-clumping fluid located in the subcollector (20) in this way, the natural gas hydrate prevention system, which reacts very quickly and effectively, ensures homogeneous and efficient heating of the natural gas pipe (10). Thus, the water inside the natural gas pipe (10) dries up. Hot water moves only in the water pipe (50) from the water inlet place (51) and from the water outlet place (52). In this way, heat transfer takes place without the need to pass water through the sub-collector (20), upper collector (30) and intermediate heat transfer pipes (40), and higher efficiency is achieved by using water.

[0031] In the invention, there are solid particles between 10-200 nanometers such as colemanite, borax, AI2O3, SiCh, CuO, TiCh, SiL, boron carbide, szaybelite, boron in the heat transfer fluid that can change phase, and these particles can be removed from the water pipe (50) thanks to their catalyst effect evaporation accelerates with the heat received. In this way, heat transfer is achieved quickly. After the heat transfer, these solid particles do not clump and do not stickto each other during condensation. During condensation, the upper collector (30) and the intermediate heat transfer pipes (40) cool down slowly thanks to nano-sized solid particles that hit their inner walls and decelerate. In this way, the capacity to keep the heat in is high. Thanks to these nanoparticles, heat pipes can be prepared without vacuuming. There is no need for sintering, grooving or pocketing on the inner surfaces of heat pipes. Thus, it can work vertically and horizontally without shape restrictions. In our invention, the heat transfer fluid that can change phase is filled into the heating system from the filling place (31) through the wall.

[0032] Intermediate heat transfer pipes (40) are connected to the sub-collector (20) and the upper collector (30) through the heat transfer pipe connection places (21). As shown in Figure 3, the water pipe (50) is positioned inside the lower collector (20). As shown in Figure 2, heating water enters the water pipe (50) from the inlet (51) and passes directly through the outlet (52). As a result of all connections, the heat transfer fluid natural gas line hydrate prevention system subject to the invention will have the appearance in Figure 2.

[0033] Alternatively, in the invention, the heat transfer fluid capable of changing phase may contain the above-mentioned solid particles between 10-50 or 50-100 or 100-150 nanometers.

[0034] Different pipe and collector lengths can be used in natural gas pipes with different geometric forms and diameters.

[0035] The most important thing about the water pipe (50) inside the sub-collector (20) is that it provides low pressure loss thanks to the simplicity of its shape.

[0036] In this way, the circulation pumps used in the system can be used with smaller capacities and the diameters of the pipes used in heating systems can be smaller. Thus, a great deal of savings is achieved in raw material costs and, secondarily, there will be a reduction in pressure losses since the heating water will only pass through the water pipe (50) in the sub-collector (20). Heating water can be heated with solid fuel, natural gas, electricity and similar heaters.

[0037] According to the EN442 standard, "The wall thickness of the material on the heating surface in contact with water should not be less than 1.11 mm." there is an expression. Since the sub-collector (20), upper collector (30) and intermediate heat transfer pipes (40) do not come into direct contact with water, a wall thickness of less than 1.11 mm is used in our invention. In this way, fewer materials and lower costs are obtained.

[0038] It is known that steel pipes will be used in our invention, as well as aluminum and plastic pipes.

[0039] The scope of protection of this application is determined in the claims section and cannot be limited to what is described above strictly for the purpose of illustration. It is clear that an expert in the technique can put forward the innovation revealed in the invention using similar structures and / or apply this structure to other areas with similar purposes used in the relevant technique. Therefore, it is obvious that such structures will lack the criterion of innovation and, in particular, overcoming the known state of technique.
