Description

[0001] TOOL FOR CONSTRUCTION, PROPRIETARY AND SHORING OF STRUCTURES

[0002] DESCRIPTION

[0003] OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

[0004] The object of the present invention, as the title of the invention establishes, is a tool valid for construction, shoring and propping of structures, that is, to make and replace structural elements in existing constructions, supports or structures and that due to the intrinsic qualities of the tool itself is suitable for use in construction in its various trades such as carpentry or metal structures, this tool, due to its characteristics and to the fact that the execution of the works is shortened in a very important way, is adapted to the needs of the emergency services in terms of consolidation of structures in emergency situations (shoring and propping) of structures. This tool allows not only length measurements, but also upper and lower angle measurements accurately and simultaneously, allowing for the creation of a structural element made of wood, metal, or another material, all quickly and accurately.

[0005] The present invention is characterized by the special design and configuration of each and every one of the parts that make up the tool, having a main tubular element and another secondary element that can be telescopically deployed, which at their ends have replaceable heads that allow for encounters with different angles or supports, as well as for mounting on canopies or other supports with any angle or shape.

[0006] Therefore, the present invention is limited to the scope of construction, carpentry, metal structures, shoring and propping tools used in the reinforcement or replacement of structures. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0007] In the state of the art, when a structural element is to be replaced, or a structure to be propped up temporarily or permanently, one of the greatest difficulties is being able to cut the propping element, preferably a wooden plank, but also any other material, with the correct length and angle at the ends in order to fit perfectly between the ends to be propped up.

[0008] Cutting the shoring element to the correct length and angle at the ends is not easy, and involves numerous measurements, actions, and processes, which ultimately do not necessarily result in an optimal result and can also lengthen the tasks over time.

[0009] On the other hand, there are no known shoring elements that can be precisely adjusted in length and angle at their ends.

[0010] Therefore, the object of the present invention is to develop a tool for construction, support and shoring of structures that can even be used to take measurements for later cutting of a shoring element so that both the length and the angle required at the ends of the shoring element are truly necessary, developing an element such as that described below and included in its essence in the first claim.

[0011] DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0012] The object of the present invention is set forth in its essence in the independent claim and the different embodiments are set forth in the dependent claims.

[0013] The present invention relates to a tool for the construction, shoring and buttressing of structures comprising a main tubular element from which a secondary tubular element emerges telescopically, this secondary tubular element having both linear and angular graduation, the set formed by the tubular elements also having replaceable and interchangeable heads that are used for shoring and buttressing with inclined supports (bracing or balconies), vertical supports (upright posts or pillars) or horizontal supports (struts or tie rods) whose supports or encounters form 90°, or for an angle different from 90° or are used for shoring or supporting beams, overhangs or canopies by fastening these elements with a barb preventing their displacement.

[0014] Since the heads, regardless of their type, can have a different angle with respect to the set of tubular elements, the telescopic secondary tubular element has an angular graduation.

[0015] To determine the length and angle of the shoring element, the secondary telescopic tubular element also has a marked graduation.

[0016] The heads are replaceable elements and are articulated with the ends of the set of tubular elements, with one at each end; the heads at the ends do not have to be of the same type.

[0017] 90° buttresses allow for inclined shoring and bracing at 90° junctions, also for pillars or uprights, with or without deviation. Buttresses that allow for different angles are used for non-perpendicular junctions, which is often the case, especially for reinforcements in passageways and windows, better known as St. Andrew's Cross surrounds. In cases where it is necessary to prop up beams, overhangs, or canopies where vertical load transmission is not possible for various reasons, the third type of buttress is used.

[0018] Thanks to the features described above, it is not only possible to construct or shore up different structural elements independently of their relative angle with respect to others, but also to carry out precise measurements in both length and angle at the ends in order to subsequently cut the necessary structural elements.

[0019] Unless otherwise indicated, all technical and scientific elements used herein have the meaning commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which this invention pertains. Methods and materials similar or equivalent to those described herein can be used in the practice of the present invention.

[0020] Throughout the description and claims, the word "comprises" and its variants are not intended to exclude other technical features, additives, components, or steps. For those skilled in the art, other objects, advantages, and features of the invention will be apparent in part from the description and in part from the practice of the invention.

[0021] EXPLANATION OF THE FIGURES

[0022] To complement the description being made and in order to help better understand the characteristics of the invention, in accordance with a preferred example of practical implementation thereof, a set of drawings is attached as an integral part of said description, in which the following has been represented for illustrative and non-limiting purposes.

[0023] In Figure 1, we can see a perspective view of the tool object of the invention with a first head at both ends for shoring and propping at 90°.

[0024] In Figure 2, we can see a detail of the telescopic secondary tubular element and its connection with a head for 90° connections.

[0025] Figure 3 shows a detailed representation of the connection of the second type of header for joints with angles that may be different from 90°. Figure 4 shows a detail of the third type of header, which is used for trusses, beam supports, overhangs, or canopies.

[0026] Figure 5 shows a front view of how shoring takes place for 90° encounters at both ends.

[0027] Figure 6 shows a front view of how shoring takes place for a meeting that is not at 90° at both ends.

[0028] Figure 7 shows the placement of the tool on a plank that will later be cut to obtain a shoring element.

[0029] PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

[0030] A preferred embodiment of the proposed invention is described below in view of the figures.

[0031] In figure 1 we can see that the tool object of the invention comprises a tubular element (1) from which a secondary tubular element (2) emerges telescopically, provided with a linear (3) and angular (7) graduation (figure 2), where the previous tubular assembly has at each end a first type of head (5) connected in an articulated manner and fixable in its position with respect to each end of the tubular assembly.

[0032] Also on the tubular element (1) there is a level gauge (4) in order to certify the level position of the tool.

[0033] The first type of head (5) allows the meeting with structural elements at 90°, and are joined in an articulated manner with the ends of the tubular assembly and can be positioned in an angular manner in relation to the ends of the tubular ends. The fixing of the position of the first type of head (5) is carried out, in a preferred but not limiting embodiment, by means of wing nuts (6). In figure 2 it can be seen that the secondary tubular element (2) has a linear graduation (3) along the length of the secondary tubular element (2) and an angular graduation (7) arranged at the final end before the articulated union with the first type of head (5), such that depending on the angulation of the first type of head (5) it overlaps with the angle mark that the first type of head is showing in relation to the second tubular element.

[0034] Figure 3 shows a second type of head (8) comprising a first arm (8.1) and a second arm (8.2) independent, both connected in an articulated manner to the end, in this case, of the secondary tubular element (2) and fixable by means of fixing elements (9).

[0035] Figure 4 shows the third type of head (10) used for shoring beams, canopies or canopies, which as can be seen comprises a first arm (10.1) and a second arm (10.2) where the joint (11) between the arms is adjustable along the length of the respective oblong perforations (10.1.1) and (10.2.1) of each of the arms.

[0036] This third type of head (10) also has a graduation (10.3) on each of the arms (10.1) and (10.2) in order to facilitate the measurement. Although the third type of head (10) appears graduated, the graduation can appear on any of the types of head.

[0037] Figure 5 shows the tool object of the invention to prop up structural elements that have an angle of 90° at both ends, for which a first type of head (5) is used, while Figure 6 shows the same tool that has a second type of head at the ends because the meeting between the structural elements does not have 90°.

[0038] Figure 7 shows the positioning of the tool on a board for subsequent cutting. The graduated length and angle of the ends ensures a precise cut. Having sufficiently described the nature of the present invention, as well as the manner of putting it into practice, it is stated that, within its essential nature, it may be put into practice in other embodiments that differ in detail from the one indicated by way of example, and which will also achieve the protection sought, provided that its fundamental principle is not altered, changed or modified.
