[0002] The invention relates to a kit, a personalized textile obtained from this kit, a method of manufacturing this personalized textile as well as a customizable textile intended for the kit.

[0003] State of the art

[0004] US Patent No. US 6,137,787, filed in 1996, describes a method and apparatus for applying silicone molded elements to a substrate such as fabric. The molding may be performed by cold injection.

[0005] Some time ago, the haute couture and ready-to-wear fashion house Schiaparelli® launched T-shirts with nipples attached to gold metal plates.

[0006] The designs displayed on these garments are chosen by the manufacturers and cannot be modified or changed by the users of the garments.

[0007] Summary of the invention

[0008] The main aim of the invention is to provide a personalized textile that is easy to produce and inexpensive, allowing the user to choose and modify the decorative patterns as they wish, in an easy and reversible manner.

[0009] More specifically, the invention firstly relates to a kit comprising:

[0010] - a customizable textile having a surface equipped with at least one lug,

[0011] - at least one removable personalization part intended to be fixed reversibly on the customizable textile and comprising at least one housing capable of receiving the lug of the customizable textile.

[0012] The invention also relates to a personalized textile obtained from the aforementioned kit, by reversibly fixing the removable personalization part(s) on the customizable textile.

[0013] According to another aspect, the invention relates to a method for manufacturing the aforementioned personalized textile, comprising: - a step of manufacturing a customizable textile having a surface provided with at least one lug,

[0014] - a step of manufacturing at least one removable personalization part comprising at least one housing capable of receiving a lug of the customizable textile and

[0015] - a step of fixing the removable personalization part(s) on the customizable textile, by introducing at least one lug of the customizable textile into a housing of the removable personalization part.

[0016] Finally, the invention also relates to a customizable textile intended to be part of the aforementioned kit.

[0017] Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will now be described in detail in the following description which is given with reference to the appended figures, which schematically represent:

[0018] [Fig. 1]: a customizable textile forming part of a kit according to the invention;

[0019] [Fig. 2]: a personalized textile according to the invention;

[0020] [Fig. 3]: a mold for making a plate with lugs;

[0021] [Fig. 4]: a detail of figure 3;

[0022] [Fig. 5]: a lug mold surrounded by a base; and

[0023] [Fig. 6]: a mold for a spur without a base.

[0024] Detailed description of the invention

[0025] Kit according to the invention

[0026] According to the invention, the kit firstly comprises a customizable textile having at least one surface provided with at least one lug and preferably several lugs.

[0027] An example of such a customizable textile is shown in Figure 1. In this case, it is a T-shirt 1. On its front part, there are a plurality of lugs 2 projecting towards the front of the T-shirt 1.

[0028] According to an advantageous embodiment of this customizable textile, the lugs 2 are in one piece with a plate 3 which is permanently fixed, generally by gluing, welding or by a screen printing process, on the front face of the T-shirt 1.

[0029] The lugs 2 preferably protrude perpendicularly relative to the surface of the T-shirt 1 or the plate 3.

[0030] Preferably, the plate 3 is flexible, which will allow it to fit the shape of the chest of the future wearer of the T-shirt 1.

[0031] As can be seen in Figure 1, a part (on the right in Figure 1) of plate 3 does not have lugs but a pattern 4 composed of several colored zones 5, 6, 7, 8.

[0032] Of course, the lugs 2 and the plate 3 could just as easily be placed in other places on the T-shirt, for example, on the back, on the sleeves, etc.

[0033] Figure 2 shows a personalized textile according to the invention, i.e. a customizable textile, here also a T-shirt 9, provided with a preferably flexible plate 10, from which numerous lugs 11 protrude forward.

[0034] In the middle of these spurs 11, we also see an area 12 devoid of spurs.

[0035] Furthermore, there is a removable personalization part 13 comprising on its lower face several housings (not visible in FIG. 2) each capable of receiving a lug 11 of the T-shirt 9. In FIG. 2, this removable personalization part 13 is fixed on the lugs 11, the latter penetrating into the housings and thus achieving the fixing of the removable personalization part 13 on the T-shirt 9. This fixing is not definitive, the wearer of the T-shirt 9 can subsequently detach the removable personalization part 13, for example to replace it with another of a different color and / or size.

[0036] It goes without saying that it is possible to provide on the customizable textile 1,9 several distinct plates 3,10 more or less spaced from each other.

[0037] The lugs 2, 11 and the housings of the removable personalization part 13 intended to receive them preferably have a substantially cylindrical shape. The personalization part 13 is held by the lug(s) 2, 11 introduced into the housing(s) under the effect of mechanical friction by lateral pressure.

[0038] Whatever the shapes of the lugs 2, 11 and the housings, their cooperation constitutes a tight, but reversible, fit which allows the personalization piece 13 to be held on the lug(s) 2, 11. Of course, the tightening must be sufficient so that the personalization piece 13 is firmly held and does not come off on its own and, at the same time, the personalization piece 13 must be able to be placed relatively easily on the lug(s) 2, 11 by a user of the textile.

[0039] According to an advantageous variant, the lugs 2, 11 have a certain deformability and elasticity as well as a conical or truncated cone shape, their proximal end, the apex of the cone or truncated cone, then being fixed to the T-shirt 1, 9 or to the plate 3, 10, and their distal end being the part having the largest diameter. In this way, each lug 2, 11 must be forcibly introduced, thanks to its deformability, into a housing and, due to its elasticity, the removable personalization part 13 is then difficult to separate from the T-shirt 1, 9 and has little risk of accidentally detaching. Indeed, the part

[0040] Preferably, the user or wearer of the T-shirt 1,9 has at his disposal multiple removable customization pieces 13 each having one or more housings and / or various shapes and / or colors. He can thus give free rein to his imagination and create patterns in various numbers, colors and shapes on his T-shirt 1,9.

[0041] Method for manufacturing a personalized textile according to the invention

[0042] The personalized textile according to the invention can be manufactured using a process comprising:

[0043] - a step of manufacturing a customizable textile 1,9 having a surface provided with at least one lug 2,11, - a step of manufacturing at least one removable customization part 13 comprising at least one housing capable of receiving a lug 2,11 of the customizable textile, and

[0044] - a step of fixing the removable personalization part(s) 13 on the customizable textile 1,9.

[0045] Of course, the order of the first two steps can be reversed.

[0046] The fixing of the removable part(s) can therefore be carried out by hand, without using any tools.

[0047] The customizable textile 1.9 can be made of any suitable material but is preferably cotton.

[0048] Concerning the manufacturing stage of this customizable textile 1,9, it can include the production of a screen printing of the plate 3,10 and the lugs 2,11.

[0049] Alternatively, the lugs 2, 11 and the polymer plate 3, 10 are applied to the textile using a mold such as that shown in Figures 3, 4 and 5, then fixed under the effect of heat treatment with pressing.

[0050] According to another variant, a polymer plate 3,10 is applied by screen printing directly onto the textile, then polymer lugs 2,11 obtained by means of a mold such as that shown in Figure 6 are applied to the screen-printed plate, under the effect of heat treatment and pressing. The lugs 2,11 are then secured to the plate 3,10.

[0051] The lugs 2, 11, as well as the plate 3, 10, are preferably made of plastisol ink or a polymer, in particular a silicone.

[0052] The plate 3,10 may be made of any suitable material, preferably a flexible material, such as silicone, the lugs 2,11 secured to the plate 3,10 then being deformable and elastic.

[0053] As for the removable personalization part 13, it is made of any suitable material, preferably a rigid plastic material.

[0054] Thus, thanks to the invention, the user can easily attach removable personalization pieces to the customizable textile as he wishes and subsequently remove some or all of them, to replace them in part or in full with others, in order to obtain a customizable textile with a different aesthetic.

[0055] Customizable textiles can be of a wide variety of shapes and types. For example, they can be clothing, particularly T-shirts, pants, jackets, sweaters, headwear, or portable accessories such as handbags, backpacks, bags like fanny packs, or bicycle bags. Customizable textiles can also be part of portable accessories, such as suitcases.
