Abstract
Description
Methods, devices and recording media for processing benefit information
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a technology for processing benefit information. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a technology for determining which benefits to recommend to a user who has not yet signed up for membership among various membership benefits, and providing information about the recommended benefits to the user.
[0002] With the rapid advancement of communications technology, e-commerce services are becoming widely used, enabling diverse forms of transactions. E-commerce service providers are exploring strategies to effectively sell a variety of products to users.
[0003] The introduction of a membership system is one such strategy, offering additional benefits to users who sign up for membership. Membership systems can generate revenue from membership fees, while also boosting user loyalty and increasing repeat purchase rates, resulting in positive outcomes. Therefore, research and development are underway to develop ways to encourage non-member users to become interested in membership and ultimately sign up, making it easier for them to recognize the benefits of membership.
[0004] Users using e-commerce services may be presented with a first page containing descriptions of one or more product categories. Users can select a product category of interest on the first page, receive a product list page for that category, and then select products to purchase from the resulting product list page. Thus, by performing actions such as selecting a product category on the first page, users can conveniently find products to purchase.
[0005] Meanwhile, if a user who has not signed up for membership can recognize the usefulness of membership while selecting a product category on the first page, the likelihood of that user signing up for membership can be increased.
[0006] Accordingly, the present disclosure aims to provide a technology that can help users who have not yet signed up for membership to feel the utility of membership and ultimately sign up for membership by providing a first page including membership benefit information to such users.
[0007] In addition, the present disclosure provides a technology that can further encourage a user's desire to sign up for membership through a user-customized first page by providing a first page including membership benefit information corresponding to a recommended category based on a recommended category that the user is actually interested in and likely to select among product categories.

[0054] FIG. 1 illustrates a system (100) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. The system (100) illustrated in FIG. 1 may include at least one of an electronic device (110) or a user terminal (120).
[0055] The electronic device (110) and the user terminal (120) are connected via a network and can communicate with each other. Meanwhile, FIG. 1 illustrates an example in which one user terminal (120) communicates with the electronic device (110) via a network; however, this is merely for convenience of understanding, and the number of user terminals (120) that can communicate with the electronic device (110) via the network may vary. That is, each of one or more user terminals (120) can access the e-commerce service provided by the electronic device (110). In addition, FIG. 1 merely illustrates a preferred embodiment for achieving the purpose of the present disclosure, and some components may be added as needed.
[0056] Below, each component illustrated in Fig. 1 will be described in more detail.
[0057] In one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may be a server device providing an e-commerce service. That is, the electronic device (110) may be a server device operated under the management of a provider of the e-commerce service. The electronic device (110) may manage the operation of the e-commerce service.
[0058] In one embodiment, the electronic device (110) can manage information about users using the e-commerce service.
[0059] For example, information about a user managed by an electronic device (110) may include the user's name, age, address, contact information, payment method, etc. Here, managing user information can collectively refer to a series of actions involving controlling and processing the relevant information. For example, managing user information may include storing, updating, or modifying the relevant information.
[0060] For example, information about a user managed by an electronic device (110) may include a user's history. Here, the user's history may be a comprehensive history (record) of the user's actions while using an e-commerce service.
[0061] For example, a user's history may include a history of the user's actions related to product purchases. This history may include the user's purchase history (purchase history), the user's selection of product categories (product category selection history), the user's addition of products to the shopping cart (add to cart history), and the user's search history (search history).
[0062] For example, a user's history may include a history of the user's actions on a page. This history may include a history of pages presented to the user (page access history), a history of the user's selection of user interface elements (e.g., images, text, buttons, etc.) on the page, etc.
[0063] For example, a user's history may include a history of the user's actions related to membership. Here, the history of the user's actions related to membership (membership history) may include a history of the user signing up for a membership, a history of the user using benefits while signed up for a membership, a history of the user attempting to cancel a membership, etc. Furthermore, the history of the user's actions related to membership may include a survey history generated when the user cancels a membership. The survey history may include the reason for the user's cancellation.
[0064] For example, a user's history may include a history of the user's actions related to coupons. This history may include a history of coupons being issued to the user, a history of coupons being used, and so on.
[0065] In one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may provide a page regarding the e-commerce service to the user terminal (120) in response to a request from a user using the e-commerce service. For example, the electronic device (110) may generate display information (e.g., information regarding the page) that enables the page regarding the e-commerce service to be displayed on the user terminal (120) and transmit the display information to the user terminal (120). Here, the display information is information that enables the page regarding the e-commerce service to be displayed on the display of the user terminal (120) and may be implemented as an image or text, for example. Based on the reception of such display information, the user terminal (120) may display various pages regarding the e-commerce service. Therefore, the operation of the electronic device (110) providing a page to the user terminal (120) may be expressed as the operation of the electronic device (110) providing a page to the user of the user terminal (120). That is, the operation of the electronic device (110) transmitting information about a page to the user terminal (120) can be expressed as an operation of the electronic device (110) providing the corresponding page to the user of the user terminal (120).
[0066] In one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may transmit various responses corresponding to various requests received from the user terminal (120) regarding the e-commerce service to the user terminal (120). For example, the user terminal (120) may receive a user input corresponding to a user interface (e.g., a widget or button) displayed on a page of the e-commerce service and transmit the same to the electronic device (110). Here, the user terminal (120) may receive a response (e.g., information) corresponding to the user input from the electronic device (110) and perform an operation defined in the response (e.g., displaying the received information on the page).
[0067] In addition to the examples described above, the electronic device (110) can perform operations related to known technologies that can be performed by server devices providing e-commerce services. Therefore, applying the technical concepts of the present disclosure by referring to operations related to such known technologies is not excluded from the scope of the present disclosure.
[0068] In one embodiment, the user terminal (120) may be a terminal of a user using an e-commerce service. The user terminal (120) may display various pages related to the e-commerce service provided by the electronic device (110) on the display of the user terminal (120). These pages may have a user interface defined as a function related to the e-commerce service applied to them. The application of this user interface may be managed by the electronic device (110) described above. In addition, the user terminal (120) may obtain a user's input regarding the page, and process or transmit the obtained user's input to the electronic device (110). For example, the user terminal (120) may receive a user's input corresponding to a user interface displayed on the page and transmit the same to the electronic device (110). By obtaining a response corresponding to the user's input from the electronic device (110), the user terminal (120) may perform operations defined to correspond to the user's input. For example, the user terminal (120) may receive specific information corresponding to the user's input from the electronic device (110) and display it on the display. Thus, specific information corresponding to the user's input may be provided to the user. As described above, a web browser or application may be installed on the user terminal (120) to allow the user to utilize e-commerce services through the user terminal (120).
[0069] For example, the user terminal (120) may be any one of devices such as a desktop computer, a laptop computer, a tablet computer, a wearable device, or a smartphone, but is not limited thereto. The user terminal (120) may include an input / output interface capable of receiving information from a user or outputting information to a user, and may be any device capable of communicating with an electronic device (110) or other devices via a network.
[0070] In one embodiment, the user terminal (120) may provide information received from the electronic device (110) to the user, and may receive input from the user and transmit the input to the electronic device (110). For example, the user terminal (120) may obtain an input from the user to call various pages, and generate a command to call various pages in response to the obtained input. The user terminal (120) may transmit a command to call various pages to the electronic device (110). The input obtained from the user may include various forms of input, such as a click using a mouse, a touch using a touchpad or a touch screen, voice recognition, or other electronic input. The user terminal (120) may receive various pages from the electronic device (110) and output the various pages received.
[0071] A network may serve to connect an electronic device (110) and a user terminal (120), or other external devices. For example, the network may provide a connection path so that a user terminal (120) can be connected to the electronic device (110) and transmit and receive packet data with the electronic device (110). For example, the network may be implemented as any type of wired or wireless network, such as a Local Area Network (LAN), a Wide Area Network (WAN), a Mobile Radio Communication Network, or Wibro (Wireless Broadband Internet).
[0072] In one embodiment, the electronic device (110) and the user terminal (120) may operate as a single device. The user terminal (120) may be included in the electronic device (110) as all or part of the electronic device (110). In this way, the electronic device (110) that receives the request for the first page (300) from the user may generate the first page (300) and transmit first display information for displaying the first page (300) to the user terminal (120). Based on the first display information, the first page (300) may be displayed on the display of the user terminal (120), thereby providing the first page (300) to the user.
[0087] In one embodiment, the first page (300) may include at least one of information about recommended benefits (310) and information about product categories (320, 330). The first page (300) illustrated in FIG. 3 is merely an example for describing an embodiment of the present disclosure, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto. Some of the components of the first page (300) illustrated in FIG. 3 may be omitted, and other components may be included in addition to these components.
[0088] In one embodiment, a recommended benefit may be selected from one or more benefits of membership.
[0089] For example, one or more benefits of membership may include discount coupon benefits, free shipping benefits, early morning delivery benefits, same-day delivery benefits, fresh product delivery benefits, free international shipping benefits, free returns benefits, additional discount benefits, content viewing benefits, additional discount benefits for payment methods, and cash accumulation benefits.
[0090] - Discount coupon benefits: Discount coupons that can be applied when purchasing products may be a benefit issued upon signing up for membership.
[0091] - Free shipping benefit: This may be a benefit where the delivery period is set from the date the user purchases the product and no shipping fee is added.
[0092] - Early morning delivery benefit: This may be a benefit where delivery is completed early the next day after the user purchases the product and no delivery fee is added.
[0093] - Same-day delivery benefit: This may be a benefit where delivery is completed on the same day the user purchases the product and no shipping fee is added.
[0094] - Fresh product delivery benefit: This benefit may be that delivery is completed on the same day or the next morning as the user purchased the fresh product (or fresh food) and no delivery fee is added.
[0095] - Free overseas shipping benefit: This may be a benefit where the delivery period is set from the date the user purchases an overseas shipping product and no shipping fee is added.
[0096] - Free Returns Benefit: This may be a benefit where the user does not incur return costs (e.g., shipping costs) for a predetermined period (e.g., 30 days) from the date the product was purchased.
[0097] - Additional discount benefits: Additional discounts may be provided upon membership registration when purchasing products.
[0098] - Content viewing benefits: This may be a benefit that allows you to view content.
[0099] - Additional discount benefit for payment method: This may be a benefit that provides additional discounts based on the use of a pre-determined payment method.
[0100] - Cash accumulation benefit: This benefit may involve accumulating cash based on the use of a pre-determined payment method when purchasing products. Cash may be a virtual currency that can be used for payment purposes, such as when purchasing products through e-commerce services.
[0101] Meanwhile, the membership benefits described above are merely for the purpose of explaining an embodiment, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto.
[0102] For example, a recommended benefit may be selected from one or more membership benefits based on the user's history. The user's history may be described in the aforementioned description. This may be illustrated in the description of FIG. 7.
[0103] For example, a recommended benefit may be selected from one or more membership benefits based on a recommended category for the user. This can be seen in the description of FIG. 8.
[0104] In one embodiment, the information (310) about the recommended benefit may include at least one of an image related to the recommended benefit or text related to the recommended benefit. As a specific example, if the recommended benefit is a free shipping benefit, the information (320) about the recommended benefit may include at least one of an image related to the free shipping benefit or text (Sign up for membership and save X won).
[0105] In one embodiment, information (310) about recommended benefits may be displayed as a first type on a first page (300). Here, the first type may indicate that the information (310) about recommended benefits is displayed within at least a portion of the first page (300). That is, in the case of the first type, the information (310) about recommended benefits may be displayed in the same layer as the first page (300). In this way, the information (310) about recommended benefits displayed as the first type may be a bar banner.
[0106] In one embodiment, information about recommended benefits (310) may be included on the first page (300) if the user has not signed up for membership.
[0107] For example, based on the user's history, it may be determined whether the user is enrolled in a membership. If the user is not enrolled in a membership, the user may be presented with a first page (300) containing information about recommended benefits (310). Conversely, if the user is enrolled in a membership, the user may be presented with a first page (not shown) that does not contain information about recommended benefits (310).
[0108] In one embodiment, the display location of information (310) about recommended benefits within the first page (300) may be predetermined.
[0109] For example, the display location of information about recommended benefits within the first page (300) may be predetermined by the e-commerce service provider. As a specific example, the display location of information about recommended benefits (310) within the first page (300) may be predetermined by the e-commerce service provider as the top of the first page (300).
[0110] For example, the display position of information about recommended benefits within the first page (300) may be predetermined based on the history of multiple users using the e-commerce service. Here, the history of multiple users may include a selection history on the display of the user terminal (120). As a specific example, if the number of times that multiple users select the upper area of the first page (300) displayed on the display of the user terminal (120) exceeds a predetermined number of times, the display position of information about recommended benefits (310) within the first page (300) may be predetermined as the upper area of the first page (300). As another example, if the number of times that multiple users select the lower area of the first page (300) displayed on the display of the user terminal (120) exceeds a predetermined number of times, the display position of information about recommended benefits (310) within the first page (300) may be predetermined as the lower area of the first page (300).
[0111] In one embodiment, the display location of information about recommended benefits within the first page (300) can be customized to the user.
[0112] For example, the display position of information (310) about recommended benefits within the first page (300) may be determined based on the display position of the recommended category for the user within the first page (300). This may be referred to the description of FIG. 9.
[0113] In one embodiment, information about a product category (320, 330) may be displayed in at least a portion of an area of a first page (300).
[0114] For example, information (320, 330) about a product category may include a user interface for requesting a page including a product list for the product category. For example, when a user selects information (320, 330) about a product category displayed on the display of the user terminal (120), the user terminal (120) may transmit a request for a page including a product list for the selected product category to the electronic device (110). In this way, the electronic device (110), which receives a request for a page including a product list for the selected product category from the user, may generate a page including a product list for the selected product category and transmit second display information to the user terminal (120) so that the page including the product list for the selected product category is displayed. Based on the second display information, the page including the product list for the selected product category may be displayed on the display of the user terminal (120), thereby providing the user with a page including a product list for the selected product category.
[0115] For example, information about a product category (320, 330) may include at least one of information about a first product category (320) or information about a second product category (330). Here, the first product category may be a recommended category for the user. Additionally, the second product category may be a normal category for the user.
[0116] For example, within the first page (300), information (320) about the first product category may be displayed higher than information (330) about the second product category. That is, information (320) about the first product category, which is of high importance to the user, may be displayed with priority over information (330) about the second product category, which is of relatively low importance, thereby enabling the user to easily find a product category that he or she is interested in and likely to actually select within the first page (300).
[0117] For example, each of one or more product categories may be determined to be either a first product category (recommended category) or a second product category (general category) based on the user's history. This can be seen in the description of FIG. 8.
[0118] According to the embodiment described with reference to FIG. 3, information (310) on recommended benefits is displayed on the first page (300), so that the user can recognize the usefulness of the membership even when selecting a product category on the first page (300), and ultimately, the user can be induced to sign up for the membership.
[0119] FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating another example of a first page (400) including representations of one or more product categories according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. The description of the first page (300) of FIG. 3 may also be applied to the first page (400) of FIG. 4 , and for the sake of concise description below, any common content with the first page (300) of FIG. 3 will be omitted.
[0120] In one embodiment, the first page (400) may include information (410) regarding recommended benefits. The first page (400) illustrated in FIG. 4 is merely an example for describing an embodiment of the present disclosure, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto. Some of the components of the first page (400) illustrated in FIG. 4 may be omitted, and other components may be included in addition to these components.
[0121] In one embodiment, a recommended benefit may be selected from one or more membership benefits. This may be described in detail in FIGS. 3 and 7.
[0122] For example, a recommended category for a user may be determined based on the user's history, and a recommended benefit may be selected from one or more membership benefits based on the recommended category. This can be seen in the description of FIG. 8.
[0123] In one embodiment, the information (410) regarding the recommended benefit may include at least one image or text related to the recommended benefit. For example, if the recommended benefit is a discount coupon, the information (320) regarding the recommended benefit may include at least one image or text related to the discount coupon (e.g., "Shop with a 5,000 won coupon").
[0124] In one embodiment, information about recommended benefits (410) may be displayed as a second type on the first page (400). Here, the second type may indicate that the information about recommended benefits (410) is displayed overlapping at least a portion of the first page. That is, in the case of the second type, the information about recommended benefits (410) may be displayed as a layer floating on the layer of the first page (400). In this way, the information about recommended benefits (410) displayed as the second type may be a floating banner.
[0125] In one embodiment, information about recommended benefits (410) may be included on the first page (400) if the user has not signed up for membership. This may be referred to as the description in FIG. 3.
[0126] In one embodiment, the display location of information (410) about recommended benefits within the first page (400) may be predetermined.
[0127] For example, the display position of information about recommended benefits within the first page (400) may be predetermined by the provider of the e-commerce service. As a specific example, the display position of information about recommended benefits (400) within the first page (400) may be predetermined as at least a portion of an area remaining within the first page (400) excluding an area where one or more categories are displayed. That is, the display position of information about recommended benefits (400) within the first page (400) may be predetermined as at least a portion of an area that does not overlap an area where one or more categories are displayed within the first page (400) (e.g., an area below an area where one or more categories are displayed).
[0128] For example, the display position of information about recommended benefits within the first page (400) may be determined in advance based on the history of multiple users using the e-commerce service. Here, the history of multiple users may include a selection history on the display of the user terminal (120). As a specific example, if the number of times that multiple users select the upper area of the first page (400) displayed on the display of the user terminal (120) exceeds a predetermined number of times, the display position of information about recommended benefits (410) within the first page (400) may be determined in advance as an upper area within the first page (400). As another example, if the number of times that multiple users select the lower area of the first page (400) displayed on the display of the user terminal (120) exceeds a predetermined number of times, the display position of information about recommended benefits (410) within the first page (400) may be determined in advance as a lower area within the first page (400). Alternatively, the history of multiple users may include the handedness of the users. Specifically, if the proportion of right-handed users among the multiple users exceeds a predetermined value (e.g., 60%), the display location of the information (410) regarding the recommended benefits within the first page (400) may be preset to the right area within the first page (400) displayed on the display of the user terminal (120). That is, when the user terminal (120) is held with the right hand, the display location of the information (410) regarding the recommended benefits within the first page (400) may be preset to the area close to the right hand. This is because, when a right-handed user uses an e-commerce service through a small user terminal (120) such as a mobile phone, there is a high possibility that the user will hold the user terminal (120) with his or her right hand. Therefore, if the information (410) on the recommended benefits is displayed in the right area of the first page (400), the user can more easily check and select the information (410) on the recommended benefits. Alternatively, when the proportion of left-handed users among a plurality of users exceeds a predetermined value (e.g., 60%), the display position of the information (410) on the recommended benefits within the first page (400) may be predetermined as the left area of the first page (400) displayed on the display of the user terminal (120). That is, when the user holds the user terminal (120) with his or her left hand, the display position of the information (410) on the recommended benefits within the first page (400) may be predetermined as the display position of the information (410) on the recommended benefits. This is because, when a left-handed user uses an e-commerce service through a small user terminal (120) such as a mobile phone, there is a high possibility that the user will hold the user terminal (120) with his or her left hand. Therefore, if the information (410) about recommended benefits is displayed in the left area of the first page (400), the user can more easily check and select the information (410) about recommended benefits. Alternatively, if the number of right-handed users among a plurality of users is greater than the number of left-handed users, the display position of the information (410) about recommended benefits within the first page (400) may be predetermined as the right area of the first page (400) displayed on the display of the user terminal (120). Alternatively, if the number of left-handed users among a plurality of users is greater than the number of right-handed users, the display position of the information (410) about recommended benefits within the first page (400) may be predetermined as the left area of the first page (400) displayed on the display of the user terminal (120).Meanwhile, if the number of left-handed users and the number of right-handed users among the plurality of users are the same, the area where one or more categories are displayed within the first page (400) may be predetermined as at least a portion of an area that does not overlap with the area (e.g., an area below an area where one or more categories are displayed).
[0129] In one embodiment, the display location of information about recommended benefits within the first page (400) may be customized to the user.
[0130] For example, the display position of information (410) about recommended benefits within the first page (400) may be determined based on the display position of the recommended category for the user within the first page (400). This may be referred to the description of FIG. 9.
[0131] In one embodiment, the action parameters of the information (410) regarding the recommended benefit on the first page (400) may be determined. That is, when the information (410) regarding the recommended benefit is displayed as a second type, the action parameters of the information (410) regarding the recommended benefit on the first page (400) may be determined. An action (visual effect) related to the information (410) regarding the recommended benefit may be displayed on the first page (400) according to the action parameters.
[0132] According to the embodiment described with reference to FIG. 4, information (410) on recommended benefits is displayed by floating on the first page (400), so that the user can more effectively recognize the existence of membership benefits in the process of selecting a product category on the first page (300), and this can lead the user to feel the utility of membership and ultimately to sign up for membership.
[0133] FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating an example of information (510, 520) on recommended benefits according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0134] Referring to FIG. 5, information about recommended benefits (510, 520) may be displayed as either the first type or the second type on the first page (300, 400).
[0135] In one embodiment, the information (510) about the recommended benefit displayed as the first type may be the information (310) about the recommended benefit of FIG. 3. Here, the information (510) about the recommended benefit displayed as the first type may also be referred to as first type information about the recommended benefit (first type display information).
[0136] For example, information (510) about a recommended benefit displayed as a first type may include at least one of an image (511) related to the recommended benefit, text (512) related to the recommended benefit, or a first user interface (513) for requesting removal of information (510) about the recommended benefit from the first page.
[0137] For example, an image (511) related to a recommended benefit may include images of monetary benefits (savings, discounts, etc.) according to the recommended benefit, products to which the recommended benefit can be applied, etc.
[0138] For example, text (512) related to a recommended benefit may include text regarding the financial benefits (savings, amount, discount amount, etc.) of the recommended benefit, products to which the recommended benefit can be applied, conditions under which the recommended benefit can be applied, etc. In addition, text (512) related to a recommended benefit may be customized to the user. That is, text (5120) related to a recommended benefit may include text determined based on the user's history. For example, if the recommended benefit is a discount coupon benefit and the user has a history of purchasing a product by applying a discount coupon in the past, text (512) related to the recommended benefit may include information about the user's history of purchasing a product by applying a discount coupon in the past and the details of the discount coupon benefit. In this case, text (512) related to the recommended benefit may be "You purchased a product by applying a discount coupon 3 months ago. Sign up for membership to receive a discount coupon."
[0139] For example, at least one of the image (511) related to the recommended benefit or the text (512) related to the recommended benefit may be a second user interface for requesting a second page for membership registration or may include a link to the second page. As a specific example, when a user selects the image (511) or text (512) displayed on the display of the user terminal (120), the user terminal (120) may transmit a request for the second page to the electronic device (110). In this way, the electronic device (110) that receives the request for the second page from the user may generate the second page and transmit second display information that causes the second page to be displayed to the user terminal (120). Based on the second display information, the second page may be displayed on the display of the user terminal (120), thereby providing the second page to the user. Meanwhile, the second page may refer to the description of FIG. 6.
[0140] For example, if a user selects a first user interface (513) displayed on a display of a user terminal (120), the user terminal (120) may transmit a request to remove information (510) about recommended benefits to the electronic device (110). In this way, the electronic device (110) that receives a request to remove information (510) about recommended benefits from the user may transmit instruction information instructing the removal of information (510) about recommended benefits to the user terminal (120). Based on the instruction information, the information (510) about recommended benefits may be removed from the first page displayed on the display of the user terminal (120) and not displayed. Thereafter, if another page is provided to the user and the first page is provided again, the information (510) about recommended benefits may not be displayed (included) on the first page provided again to the user. Meanwhile, in the present disclosure, the user's history may include a history in which the user requested the removal of information (510) about recommended benefits. That is, in embodiments of the present disclosure, at least some of the operations of the electronic device (110) based on the user's history may be performed based on the user's history of requesting removal of information (510) regarding recommended benefits. As a specific example, in an operation in which the electronic device (110) selects a recommended benefit from among one or more benefits of membership, the electronic device (110) may select a recommended benefit from among the remaining benefits excluding benefits for which the user has requested removal from one or more benefits.
[0141] In one embodiment, the information (520) about the recommended benefit displayed as the second type may be the information (410) about the recommended benefit of FIG. 4. Here, the information (520) about the recommended benefit displayed as the second type may also be referred to as second type information about the recommended benefit (second type display information).
[0142] For example, information (520) about a recommended benefit displayed as a second type may include at least one of an image (521) related to the recommended benefit, text (522) related to the recommended benefit, or a first user interface (523) for requesting removal of information (520) about the recommended benefit from the first page.
[0143] For example, an image (521) related to a recommended benefit may include images of monetary benefits (savings, discounts, etc.) according to the recommended benefit, products to which the recommended benefit can be applied, etc.
[0144] For example, the text (522) related to the recommended benefit may include text about the financial benefits (savings, amount, discount amount, etc.) of the recommended benefit, products to which the recommended benefit can be applied, conditions for applying the recommended benefit, etc. In addition, the text (522) related to the recommended benefit may be customized to the user. That is, the text (522) related to the recommended benefit may include text determined based on the user's history. For example, if the recommended benefit is a fresh product delivery benefit and the user has a history of purchasing fresh products in the past, the text (522) related to the recommended benefit may include information about the user's past purchase history of fresh products and the fresh product delivery benefit. In this case, the text (522) related to the recommended benefit may be "You purchased a fresh product a year ago. Sign up for a membership and get fresh products delivered for free."
[0145] For example, at least one of the image (521) related to the recommended benefit or the text (522) related to the recommended benefit may be a second user interface for requesting a second page for membership registration or may include a link to the second page. As a specific example, when the user selects the image (521) or the text (522) displayed on the display of the user terminal (120), the user terminal (120) may transmit a request for the second page to the electronic device (110). 6.
[0146] For example, if a user selects a first user interface (523) displayed on a display of a user terminal (120), the user terminal (120) may transmit a request to remove information (520) about recommended benefits to the electronic device (110). In this way, the electronic device (110), which has received a request to remove information (520) about recommended benefits from the user, may transmit instruction information instructing the removal of information (520) about recommended benefits to the user terminal (120). Based on the instruction information, the information (520) about recommended benefits may be removed from the first page displayed on the display of the user terminal (120) and not displayed. Thereafter, if another page is provided to the user and the first page is provided again, the information (520) about recommended benefits may not be displayed (included) on the first page provided again to the user. Meanwhile, in the present disclosure, the user's history may include a history in which the user requested the removal of information (520) about recommended benefits. That is, in embodiments of the present disclosure, at least some of the operations of the electronic device (110) based on the user's history may be performed based on the user's history of requesting removal of information (520) regarding recommended benefits. As a specific example, in an operation in which the electronic device (110) selects a recommended benefit from among one or more benefits of membership, the electronic device (110) may select a recommended benefit from among the remaining benefits excluding benefits for which the user has requested removal from one or more benefits.
[0147] FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating an example of a second page (600) for membership registration according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. The second page (600) may be a page where a user who is not yet a member can apply for membership registration.
[0148] In one embodiment, if a user selects an image (511, 521) related to a recommended benefit or text (512, 522) related to a recommended benefit on a first page (300, 400), a second page (600) may be provided to the user. That is, if the user selects an image (511, 521) related to a recommended benefit or text (512, 522) related to a recommended benefit displayed on a display of a user terminal (120), a second page (600) may be displayed on the display of the user terminal (120).
[0149] Meanwhile, based on the user's history, the user's membership subscription type may be determined as either a new subscription or a re-subscription. For example, if the user has no membership subscription history, the user's membership subscription type may be determined as a new subscription. Alternatively, if the user has previously subscribed to a membership but has not used the membership benefits, the user's membership subscription type may be determined as a new subscription. Alternatively, if the user has previously subscribed to a membership and has used the membership benefits, the user's membership subscription type may be determined as a re-subscription. The examples of determining the membership subscription type described above are intended to illustrate embodiments of the present disclosure, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto. The electronic device (110) may determine the membership subscription type in various ways in addition to the examples described above. If the user's membership subscription type is a new subscription, the second page (600) may be a new membership subscription page. In this case, the second page (600) may display information indicating that the user can apply for a new subscription with a membership fee exemption. Alternatively, if the user's membership type is re-registration, the second page (600) may be a membership re-registration page. In this case, the second page (600) may display information indicating that re-registration can be applied for after paying the membership fee.
[0150] For concise explanation, the following description assumes a user's membership type is a re-registration. The following description of page 2 (600) may also apply to a user's membership type as a new member.
[0151] In one embodiment, the second page (600) may include at least one of first information (610) about one or more benefits of the membership or second information (620) about a specific benefit among the one or more benefits.
[0152] For example, the first information (610) may include at least one image or text for each of one or more benefits. Meanwhile, when a second page (600) is provided to a user by selecting an image (511, 521) related to a recommended benefit or text (512, 522) related to a recommended benefit on the first page (300, 400), the first information (610) may be configured (set) so that among one or more benefits of membership, the recommended benefit for the user is displayed on the second page (600) with priority over other benefits.
[0153] For example, the second information (620) may include at least one image or text for a specific benefit among one or more benefits. In addition, the second information (620) may further include a monetary benefit according to the specific benefit, conditions for applying the specific benefit, etc. Here, the specific benefit may include a discount coupon benefit. Alternatively, when a user selects an image (511, 521) related to a recommended benefit or text (512, 522) related to the recommended benefit on the first page (300, 400) and a second page (600) is provided to the user, the second information (620) may be configured (set) to include at least one of an image, text, monetary benefit, or application conditions for the recommended benefit for the user.
[0154] FIG. 7 is a flowchart illustrating an operation of a benefit information processing method according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0155] Referring to FIG. 7, in S710, the electronic device (110) may receive a request for a first page including representations of one or more product categories from a user who has not yet subscribed to membership. Here, the first page may be the first page (300, 400) described with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4. For example, if the user selects a user interface for requesting the first page displayed on the display of the user terminal (120), the user terminal (120) may transmit a request for the first page to the electronic device (110). As a result, the electronic device (110) may receive a request for the first page from the user.
[0156] In S720, the electronic device (110) may determine a recommended benefit for the user from among one or more benefits of membership in response to a request on the first page.
[0157] In one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may select a recommended benefit for the user from among one or more membership benefits based on the user's history.
[0158] For example, the electronic device (110) may select a recommended benefit from one or more benefits based on the user's purchase history. As a specific example, if the user has a history of purchasing fresh produce, the electronic device (110) may select the fresh produce delivery benefit from one or more benefits as the recommended benefit.
[0159] For example, the electronic device (110) may select a recommended benefit from one or more benefits based on the user's search history. For example, if the user has a history of searching for clothing products, the electronic device (110) may select the free returns benefit from one or more benefits as a recommended benefit. Since clothing products are highly likely to be returned, recommending the free returns benefit to users interested in clothing products allows the user to more easily recognize the utility of membership.
[0160] For example, the electronic device (110) may select a recommended benefit from one or more benefits based on the user's shopping cart history. As a specific example, if the user has a history of adding overseas shipping products to their shopping cart, the electronic device (110) may select the free overseas shipping benefit from one or more benefits as the recommended benefit.
[0161] For example, the electronic device (110) may select a recommended benefit from one or more benefits based on the user's product category selection history. As a specific example, if the user has a history of selecting the home appliance category, the electronic device (110) may select a discount coupon benefit from one or more benefits as the recommended benefit. Here, the discount coupon benefit may include a benefit that issues a discount coupon applicable to the purchase of home appliances upon membership registration.
[0162] For example, the electronic device (110) may select a recommended benefit from one or more benefits based on the user's page access history. As a specific example, if the user has previously selected a user interface for the dawn delivery benefit and been presented with a page for the dawn delivery benefit, the electronic device (110) may select the dawn delivery benefit from one or more benefits as the recommended benefit.
[0163] For example, the electronic device (110) may select a recommended benefit from one or more benefits based on the user's membership history. The electronic device (110) may determine the user's membership subscription type based on the user's membership history. If the user's membership subscription type is re-subscription, the electronic device (110) may identify the reason for cancellation selected in a survey when the user canceled a previous membership. Thereafter, the electronic device (110) may select a benefit corresponding to the cancellation reason from one or more benefits as the recommended benefit. As a specific example, if the user canceled a membership in the past by selecting "recently decreased number of shopping trips" as the reason for cancellation, the electronic device (110) may determine the content viewing benefit as the recommended benefit. Alternatively, if the user canceled a membership in the past by selecting "expensive membership fees" as the reason for cancellation, the electronic device (110) may identify a membership benefit with a higher financial benefit than the membership fee and determine this as the recommended benefit. That is, if the membership fee is X won, the electronic device (110) can identify a membership benefit that can obtain Y won, which is a higher monetary benefit than X won, when the benefit is applied, and determine this as a recommended benefit.
[0164] Meanwhile, the electronic device (110) may determine recommended benefits for a user based on the recommended category for the user. This can be seen in the description of FIG. 8.
[0165] In S730, the electronic device (110) may provide the user with a first page containing information about recommended benefits.
[0166] In one embodiment, information about a recommended benefit may include at least one of an image related to the recommended benefit and text related to the recommended benefit. Additionally, information about a recommended benefit may further include a first user interface for requesting removal of information about the recommended benefit from the first page.
[0167] In one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may determine the display location of information about recommended benefits within the first page when providing (generating) the first page.
[0168] For example, the display location of information about recommended benefits within the first page may be predetermined by the e-commerce service provider. This can be seen in the descriptions of Figures 3 and 4.
[0169] For example, the display location of information about recommended benefits within the first page may be predetermined based on the history of multiple users using the e-commerce service. This can be seen in the descriptions of Figures 3 and 4.
[0170] For example, the display location of information about recommended benefits within the first page may be customized for the user. Specifically, the electronic device (110) may determine the display location of information about recommended benefits within the first page based on the display location of recommended categories for the user within the first page. This may be described with reference to the descriptions in FIGS. 9 and 10 .
[0171] In one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may determine action parameters for information about recommended benefits on the first page when providing (generating) the first page. The action parameters may include one or more parameters for defining an action (e.g., a visual effect) by which information about recommended benefits is displayed on the first page. This may be referred to the descriptions of FIGS. 11 and 12 .
[0172] According to the above-described embodiments, the electronic device (110) may generate a first page including information about recommended benefits based on the display position or action parameter of information about recommended benefits within the first page, and transmit first display information that causes the first page to be displayed to the user terminal (120). That is, the first page generated based on the display position or action parameter of information about recommended benefits within the first page may be provided to the user.
[0173] FIG. 8 is a diagram illustrating detailed operations (S810, S820) for determining recommended benefits for a user in a benefit information processing method according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. For example, if the user has previously been presented with a page containing detailed information about a specific product, the electronic device (110) may determine the product category to which the specific product belongs among one or more product categories as the recommended category.
[0180] In one embodiment, the electronic device (110) may determine a recommended category from one or more product categories based on the user's membership history. For example, if the user's membership type is re-registration and the user has purchased a product during the period of previous membership, the electronic device (110) may determine the product category to which the product belongs from one or more product categories as the recommended category. Alternatively, if the user's membership type is re-registration and the user has previously selected a reason for cancellation in a survey when canceling a previous membership, the electronic device (110) may determine a recommended category from one or more product categories based on the reason for cancellation. If the user has previously selected a low discount benefit as the reason for cancellation, the electronic device (110) may determine the product category with the highest average discount rate as the recommended category.
[0181] In S820, the electronic device (110) can select a benefit corresponding to a recommended category from among one or more benefits of membership as a recommended benefit.
[0182] In one embodiment, the benefits corresponding to a recommended category may include benefits that can be used (applied) to purchase products belonging to the recommended category.
[0183] For example, if the recommended category for the user is the fresh product category, the electronic device (110) may select the fresh product delivery benefit as the recommended benefit among one or more benefits of the membership.
[0184] For example, if the recommended category for a user is the clothing category, the electronic device (110) may select the free return benefit from one or more membership benefits as the recommended benefit. That is, since clothing products are more likely to be returned, the free return benefit may be recommended to a user for whom the clothing category is selected as the recommended category.
[0185] For example, if the recommended category for the user is the overseas shipping product category, the electronic device (110) may select the overseas free shipping benefit from among one or more membership benefits as the recommended benefit.
[0186] For example, if the recommended category for a user is the home appliance category, the electronic device (110) may select a discount coupon benefit from one or more membership benefits as the recommended benefit. Here, the discount coupon benefit may include a benefit that issues a discount coupon applicable to the purchase of home appliances upon membership registration.
[0187] Meanwhile, the above-described examples are merely intended to illustrate embodiments of the present disclosure and are not intended to limit the present disclosure. In addition to the above-described examples, the electronic device (110) may determine a recommended category for a user in various ways, and select a benefit corresponding to the recommended category from among one or more membership benefits as a recommended benefit for the user.
[0188] According to the operations (S810, S820) of FIG. 8, membership benefits applicable to products belonging to a category in which the user is likely to be interested are accurately identified, and such membership benefits are recommended, thereby enabling the user to clearly recognize that signing up for membership can satisfy his / her needs.
[0189] FIG. 9 is a diagram illustrating detailed operations (S910, S920, S930) for determining the display location of information on recommended benefits within a first page in a benefit information processing method according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. Operation (S730) for providing the first page of FIG. 7 may include operations (S910, S920, S930) of FIG. 9.
[0190] Referring to FIG. 9, at S910, the electronic device (110) may determine a recommended category for the user. For example, S910 may refer to S810 of FIG. 8.
