[0030] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

[0031] 1 is a block diagram showing a schematic configuration of a pump control system according to one embodiment. The pump control system includes a pump 1, a terminal device 2, and a server 3.

[0032] Identification information "IDP10" is set in the pump 1. The pump 1 can be equipped with a wireless communication board 10, and can communicate wirelessly with the terminal device 2 (for example, short-range wireless communication compliant with Bluetooth). Note that "equipped" means that the wireless communication board 10 may be built into the pump 1, or the wireless communication board 10 may be externally attached to the pump 1.

[0033] In this embodiment, the wireless communication board 11 (first wireless communication board) currently mounted on the pump 1 is replaced with another wireless communication board 12 (second wireless communication board). The wireless communication board 11 can be said to be the wireless communication board 10 before replacement, and the wireless communication board 12 can be said to be the wireless communication board 10 after replacement. Here, identification information "IDS11" is set in the wireless communication board 11, and identification information "IDS12" is set in the wireless communication board 12. The identification information may be, for example, the MAC addresses of the wireless communication boards 11 and 12.

[0034] The terminal device 2 is typically a smartphone and includes a display 21, a communication unit 22, and a control unit 23. The display 21 displays various screens in accordance with control by the control unit 23. The communication unit 22 wirelessly communicates with the wireless communication board 10 mounted in the pump 1 and communicates with the server 3 via the Internet. The control unit 23 performs the processes described below, for example, by having a processor execute a predetermined program.

[0035] The server 3 has a communication unit 31, a control unit 32, and a storage unit 33. The communication unit 31 communicates with the terminal device 2 via the Internet. The control unit 32 performs the processing described below, for example, by having a processor execute a predetermined program. The information stored in the storage unit 33 will be described below.

[0036] 2A is a diagram schematically illustrating information stored in the storage unit 33. As illustrated, the storage unit 33 stores identification information for each pump and identification information for the wireless communication board mounted thereon in association with each other. For example, in FIG. 1, identification information IDP10 for pump 1 and identification information IDS11 for the wireless communication board 11 mounted thereon are stored in association with each other. In addition, identification information IDP20 for a pump not shown in FIG. 1 and identification information IDS20 for the wireless communication board mounted thereon are stored in association with each other.

[0037] When the wireless communication board 11 is replaced with the wireless communication board 12, it is necessary to newly associate the identification information IDP10 of the pump 1 with the identification information IDS12 of the wireless communication board 12 (FIG. 2B). For example, the following method can be considered as a method for doing this.

[0038] First, the administrator makes a note of the identification information IDS11 of the wireless communication board 11 before replacement and the identification information IDS12 of the wireless communication board 12 after replacement. The administrator also makes a note of the identification information IDP10 of the pump 1. Then, after replacing the wireless communication board 11 with the wireless communication board 12, the administrator inputs the noted identification information IDS11, IDS12, and IDP10 into a predetermined system, and rewrites the information stored in the memory unit 33.

[0039] However, with this method, it is time-consuming for the administrator to take notes or input data into the system, and there is a possibility of errors occurring. Therefore, in this embodiment, the following method is used.

[0040] 3A and 3B are sequence diagrams illustrating the processing operation of the pump control system of FIG. 1. Note that these diagrams are illustrative, and some steps may be omitted or additional steps may be included. In these sequence diagrams, the pump 1 is equipped with a wireless communication board 11 (and therefore, as shown in FIG. 2A , the identification information IDP10 of the pump 1 and the identification information IDS11 of the wireless communication board 11 are stored in association with each other), and it is assumed that this board will be replaced with a wireless communication board 12.

[0041] Although not shown in Fig. 3A, the administrator replaces the wireless communication board 11 mounted on the pump 1 with the wireless communication board 12. Then, the administrator uses power supply from the pump 1 to set the wireless communication board 12 to a state where it can communicate wirelessly (however, the administrator does not update the information stored in the storage unit 33 (Fig. 2A)). As a result, the wireless communication board 12 begins to transmit identification information IDS12 of the wireless communication board 12 by periodic one-way wireless communication (for example, Bluetooth advertising communication) without specifying a destination.

[0042] The communication unit 22 of the terminal device 2 used by the administrator receives the identification information IDS12 from the replaced wireless communication board 12 (step S1).The communication unit 22 of the terminal device 2 then transmits the received identification information IDS12 to the server 3 to inquire whether there is a pump corresponding to the identification information IDS12 (step S2).

[0043] The communication unit 31 of the server 3 receives the identification information IDS12 of the wireless communication board 12 from the terminal device 2 (step S31). Then, the control unit 32 checks whether the received identification information IDS12 is stored in the storage unit 33 (FIG. 2A), and the communication unit 31 transmits the result to the terminal device 2 (step S32). If it is stored, it means that the wireless communication board has not been replaced. If it is not stored, it means that the wireless communication board has been replaced.

[0044] The communication unit 22 of the terminal device 2 receives information indicating whether or not the identification information IDS12 is stored in the storage unit 33 (FIG. 2A) from the server 3 (step S3).

[0045] If it is stored (YES in step S4), the wireless communication board has not been replaced, and the control unit 23 displays a screen (for example, FIG. 4) on the display 21 indicating that the replaced wireless communication board cannot be found, and ends the process.

[0046] On the other hand, if it is not stored (NO in step S4), the wireless communication board has been replaced. The control unit 23 may cause the display 21 to display a screen (e.g., FIG. 5) confirming that the wireless communication board has been replaced. The administrator then causes the terminal device 2 to acquire the identification information IDS11 of the wireless communication board 11 that was installed in the pump 1 before replacement. In other words, the control unit 23 of the terminal device 2 acquires the identification information IDS11 of the wireless communication board 11 (step S5). As a specific example, in FIG. 4, when the administrator selects "Yes," the control unit 23 may cause the display 21 to display a screen prompting the administrator to read the identification information IDS11 of the wireless communication board 11 before replacement.

[0047] There is no limitation on the acquisition method, but for example, the wireless communication board 11 is provided with an identification code (such as a two-dimensional code) linked to the identification information IDS11, and the control unit 23 acquires the identification information IDS11 by photographing and reading this with a camera (not shown) of the terminal device 2. As another example, the identification information IDS11 may be printed on the wireless communication board 11, and the identification information IDS11 may be acquired by photographing this with a camera (not shown) of the terminal device 2 and reading it using an OCR function.

[0048] Then, the control unit 23 of the terminal device 2 determines whether wireless communication with the wireless communication board 11 before replacement is possible (step S6). This determination is made, for example, by determining whether the communication unit 22 can receive the identification information IDS11 of the wireless communication board 11.

[0049] Normally, the wireless communication board 11 before replacement is removed from the pump 1, and power is not supplied to the wireless communication board 11. Therefore, wireless communication should not be possible between the terminal device 2 and the wireless communication board 11. If the terminal device 2 is able to wirelessly communicate with the wireless communication board 11 (YES in step S6), the control unit 23 displays on the display 21 a screen (e.g., FIG. 6) indicating that the identification information acquired in step S5 does not belong to the wireless communication board 11 before replacement, and ends the process.

[0050] If wireless communication with the wireless communication board 11 before replacement is not possible (NO in step S6), the communication unit 22 transmits the identification information IDS11 of the wireless communication board 11 to the server 3 (step S7).

[0051] The communication unit 31 of the server 3 receives the identification information IDS11 of the wireless communication board 11 from the terminal device 2 (step S33). Then, the control unit 32 checks whether the received identification information IDS11 is stored in the storage unit 33 ( FIG. 2A ) in association with the identification information of any pump, and the communication unit 31 transmits the result to the terminal device 2. More specifically, if the identification information is not stored, a message is sent indicating that there is no associated pump, and if the identification information is stored, the identification information is transmitted (step S34).

[0052] 2A, the identification information IDS11 is stored in association with the identification information IDP10. Therefore, the communication unit 31 transmits the identification information IDP10 of the pump 1 to the terminal device 2.

[0053] The communication unit 22 of the terminal device 2 receives from the server 3 information indicating whether the identification information IDS11 before replacement is stored in the storage unit 33 (FIG. 2A) in association with the identification information of the pump 1 (step S8).

[0054] If it is not stored (NO in step S9), the wireless communication board has not been replaced, and the control unit 23 therefore displays an error screen (e.g., FIG. 7) on the display 21 indicating that the previous wireless communication board cannot be found (i.e., it is not associated with the pump), and ends the process.

[0055] On the other hand, if it is stored (YES in step S9), the control unit 23 causes the display 21 to display a screen (e.g., FIG. 8) confirming the received identification information IDP10 of the pump 1. Then, in response to an operation by the administrator (e.g., selecting "Yes" on the screen in FIG. 7), the communication unit 22 transmits to the server 3 a request to associate the identification information IDS12 of the replaced wireless communication board 12 (received in step S1) with the identification information of the pump 1 (received in step S8) (step S10).

[0056] The communication unit 31 of the server 3 receives the request (step S35). In response to this request, the control unit 32 stores the identification information IDS12 of the replaced wireless communication board 12 in association with the identification information IDP10 of the pump 1, instead of the identification information IDS11 of the wireless communication board 11 before replacement stored in the storage unit 33 (step S36, FIG. 2A).

[0057] Thereafter, the communication unit 31 may transmit information indicating that the association has been completed to the terminal device 2. In response to receiving this information, the control unit 23 of the terminal device 2 may cause the display 21 to display a screen ( FIG. 9 ) indicating that the replacement of the wireless communication board has been completed.

[0058] As described above, according to this embodiment, when replacing a wireless communication board, the replaced wireless communication board 12 can be associated with the pump 1 instead of the previous wireless communication board 11. In other words, when replacing a wireless communication board, the identification information IDS12 of the replaced wireless communication board 12 can be associated with the identification information IDP10 of the pump 1 instead of the identification information IDS11 of the previous wireless communication board 11. This association requires little work by the administrator, is simple, and is less likely to result in errors.

[0059] The invention described above is not limited to the pump 1 and can be applied to any industrial equipment (for example, a rotating machine having a motor).

[0060] Any part or all of the functional units described in this specification may be realized by a program. The program mentioned in this specification may be distributed by being non-temporarily recorded on a computer-readable recording medium, or may be distributed via a communication line (including wireless communication) such as the Internet, or may be distributed in a state where it is installed on any terminal.

Furthermore, a "system" may be composed of a single device, or may be composed of two or more devices (e.g., a server and a terminal device, or multiple terminal devices).

[0063] Furthermore, not all of the features described in this specification are essential requirements. In particular, features described in this specification but not included in the claims can be considered optional additional features.

[0064] Furthermore, unless otherwise specified, the term "means" in this specification and claims refers to hardware itself (or a function realized by hardware) and does not include a human being (or human mental activity).

A program that causes a terminal device to function as: first means for receiving second identification information for identifying the second wireless communication board from the second wireless communication board via wireless communication; second means for transmitting the second identification information to a server that can access a memory unit that associates and stores identification information of a rotating machine and identification information for identifying a wireless communication board mounted on the rotating machine; third means for acquiring first identification information for identifying a first wireless communication board; fourth means for transmitting the first identification information to the server; and fifth means for transmitting a request to the server to associate the first identification information with the identification information of the rotating machine.

12. The program according to claim 11, wherein the third means is provided on the first wireless communication board and acquires the first identification information by reading an identification code associated with the first identification information.

13. The program according to claim 11, wherein the third means acquires the first identification information by reading the first identification information printed on the first wireless communication board using an OCR function.

14. A program according to any one of claims 11 to 13, further causing the terminal device to function as a means for receiving from the server information indicating whether or not the second identification information transmitted by the second means is stored in the memory unit.

15. A program as described in any one of claims 11 to 13, further causing the terminal device to function as a means for receiving the identification information of the rotating machine from the server when the first identification information transmitted by the fourth means is stored in the memory unit in association with the identification information of the rotating machine.

16. A program as described in any one of claims 11 to 13, further causing the terminal device to function as a means for receiving information from the server indicating that there is no rotating machine associated with the first identification information when the first identification information transmitted by the fourth means is not stored in the memory unit in association with identification information of a rotating machine.

17. A program according to any one of claims 11 to 13, further causing the terminal device to function as a means for receiving, from the server, information indicating that association of the second identification information with the identification information of the rotating machine has been completed.

18. The program according to any one of claims 11 to 13, wherein the fourth means transmits the first identification information to the server when wireless communication with the first wireless communication board is not possible.

19. A program according to any one of claims 11 to 13, wherein the first wireless communication board is a wireless communication board before replacement, and the second wireless communication board is a wireless communication board after replacement.

20. An information processing method in which a terminal device receives second identification information for identifying the second wireless communication board from the second wireless communication board via wireless communication, transmits the second identification information to a server that can access a memory unit that associates and stores identification information of a rotating machine and identification information for identifying a wireless communication board mounted on the rotating machine, obtains first identification information for identifying a first wireless communication board, transmits the first identification information to the server, and transmits a request to the server to associate the first identification information with the identification information of the rotating machine.

21. A terminal device comprising: first means for receiving second identification information for identifying a second wireless communication board from the second wireless communication board via wireless communication; second means for transmitting the second identification information to a server that can access a memory unit that associates and stores identification information of a rotating machine and identification information for identifying a wireless communication board mounted on the rotating machine; third means for acquiring first identification information for identifying a first wireless communication board; fourth means for transmitting the first identification information to the server; and fifth means for transmitting to the server a request to associate the first identification information with the identification information of the rotating machine.

22. An information processing system comprising: a server according to claim 10; and a terminal device according to claim 21.
