[0002] The present disclosure relates generally to compositions and devices for oral health and overall wellness. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to solid-state film toothpaste, dietary supplements, skincare, and pharmaceuticals compositions and devices to dispense or deliver the solid-state film formulations of toothpaste, supplements, skincare, and pharmaceuticals.BACKGROUND
[0003] Maintaining or enhancing oral health and wellness holds paramount significance in overall human well-being. A prime example underscores the repercussions of inadequate oral care, where neglect can precipitate gum disease, notably gingivitis, eventually culminating in tooth loss. Such ramifications extend beyond mere dental concerns, profoundly impacting an individual's holistic health and quality of life. Compromised oral health not only diminishes physical comfort and functionality but also exacerbates systemic health issues. The interconnection between oral health and general well-being underscores the urgent need for effective preventive measures and therapeutic interventions. By addressing oral health comprehensively, including through innovative solutions such as the dispenser device for solid-state film compositions, we can mitigate risks, improve outcomes, and foster enduring wellness for individuals across diverse demographics.
[0004] The primary culprits contributing to tooth loss encompass tooth decay and gum disease, posing substantial risks that amplify with age. Several factors exacerbate these risks over time. Firstly, issues with saliva production can compromise oral health,as saliva plays a crucial role in rinsing away food particles and neutralizing acids that contribute to decay. Additionally, age-related phenomena like receding gums expose vulnerable root surfaces to bacteria, heightening susceptibility to decay. Challenges in maintaining oral hygiene further compound these risks, often stemming from age- related factors such as deteriorating vision, cognitive decline, chronic illnesses, and physical limitations. Consequently, difficulties in flossing and brushing effectively arise, facilitating the accumulation of plaque and bacterial growth. Recognizing these multifaceted challenges underscores the imperative for tailored oral care strategies and innovative solutions to mitigate the impact of age-related factors on oral health outcomes.
[0005] In the United States, despite improvements in oral hygiene practices among adults, a significant portion still requires dental treatment, reflecting pervasive dental issues. Shockingly, over a quarter of adults (26%) grapple with untreated tooth decay, underscoring the pressing need for intervention to avert broader health consequences stemming from decay. Furthermore, the prevalence of gum disease is alarmingly high, with nearly half (46%) of adults aged 30 or older exhibiting signs of this condition, while severe gum disease afflicts approximately 9% of adults. One contributing factor to these concerning statistics is the logistical challenges individuals face in maintaining oral hygiene routines while on the go or after meals. The inconvenience of carrying traditional toothpaste and a toothbrush, coupled with the requirement for access to a sink and running water, presents formidable barriers that hinder timely oral care practices.
[0006] These obstacles not only impede immediate oral hygiene efforts but also exacerbate the risk of dental problems and undermine overall health and wellness. The inability to address oral hygiene needs promptly and effectively leaves individuals vulnerable to the progressive deterioration of oral health, potentially culminating in severe dental issues and compromised overall well-being. Consequently, there is a critical need for innovative solutions that transcend traditional oral care approaches, offering convenience and efficacy to facilitate consistent and accessible oral hygiene practices, particularly in scenarios where conventional methods prove impractical or inaccessible.
[0007] Concurrently, when users do brush their teeth, a vast majority of users use far too much toothpaste than necessary in order to clean one’s teeth. This can havenegative consequences apart from the clear burden of the increasing cost of toothpaste, such as for example, fluoride, when ingested in large amounts, can cause a cosmetic condition known as dental fluorosis on one’s developing teeth. The cosmetic implications range from mild discoloration to yellow and brown stains to obvious pits in the teeth.
[0008] Also, the recommended amount of toothpaste differs for users, such as between adults and children. It is difficult for users to ascertain the recommended amount of toothpaste to use based on their particular needs.
[0009] Consequently, what is needed is a composition and device for obviating the above-described problems in addition to addressing skin care needs, dietary supplementation, and pharmaceutical dispensing.SUMMARY
