Abstract
Description
fishing rod
[0001] The present invention relates to a fishing rod.
[0002] Cross-Reference: This application claims priority to Japanese Patent Application No. 2023-219426 (filed December 26, 2023), the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference in their entirety. Conventionally, fishing rods in which a rod is inserted into a reel seat have been known (see, for example, Patent Document 1). In the fishing rod of Patent Document 1, the reel seat and rod are bonded together with an adhesive. In the fishing rod of Patent Document 1, the rear rod extending rearward from the reel seat functions as a part that provides auxiliary support for the fishing rod, for example, by being held between the armpits or against the body during actual fishing, thereby facilitating the operation of the fishing rod and reel. Generally, rear rods of fishing rods have different lengths and thicknesses depending on the design of the fishing rod, the type of fishing, etc., and a variety of products are available.
[0003] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2022-121083
[0004] However, the fishing rod of Patent Document 1 has a structure in which one rod is inserted into the reel seat, and the reel seat and the rod are bonded together with adhesive, which means that it is not possible to customize the rod to one's preferred design or by replacing the rear rod.
[0005] The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and aims to provide a fishing rod that can be easily customized by changing the rear rod shaft to one of different lengths and thicknesses.
[0006] To solve the above problems, the present invention provides a fishing rod comprising a front rod, a rear rod, and a cylindrical reel seat, wherein the rear portion of the front rod is adhered to the inner peripheral surface of the reel seat with an adhesive, and the front portion of the rear rod is attachable to or detachable from the rear portion of the front rod or the inner peripheral surface of the reel seat.
[0007] In the present invention, rear rods of different lengths and thicknesses can be attached to the rear of the front rod or the inner circumferential surface of the reel seat. This allows for excellent customization of the fishing rod. Furthermore, since the rear rod is attached to the rear of the front rod or the reel seat inside the reel seat, the joint is not exposed to the outside, and any unevenness or other irregularities caused by the joint do not come into contact with the gripping fingers. This also provides excellent fishing operability and design.
[0008] In addition, in a configuration in which the front portion of the rear rod is attachable and detachable to the rear portion of the front rod, it is preferable that the front portion of the rear rod is joined to the rear portion of the front rod by a spigot joint structure or a straight joint structure.
[0009] With this configuration, the front part of the rear rod can be directly attached to the rear part of the front rod inside the reel seat, improving the strength of the fishing rod. Also, since vibrations are transmitted from the front rod to the rear rod through the spigot joint structure or the parallel joint structure, sensitivity during actual fishing is good.
[0010] It is also preferable that the rear portion of the front rod and the front portion of the rear rod have different outer diameters.
[0011] This configuration allows for variations in the structure that allows the front part of the rear rod to be attached and detached to the rear part of the front rod or the inner peripheral surface of the reel seat, and also allows for changes in the appearance (design) of the part exposed behind the reel seat. This allows for easy customization of the fishing rod to your liking by simply replacing the rear rod with a different shape.
[0012] Furthermore, in a configuration in which the front portion of the rear rod is attachable to and detachable from the inner peripheral surface of the reel seat, it is preferable that a protrusion that protrudes radially inward is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the reel seat, and that the rear portion of the front rod and the front portion of the rear rod abut against the protrusion.
[0013] With this configuration, the rear portion of the front rod can be bonded to the inner peripheral surface of the reel seat by abutting against the protrusion. Also, the front portion of the rear rod can be attached to the inner peripheral surface of the reel seat by abutting against the protrusion, which makes it easier to assemble the front and rear rods to the reel seat. Therefore, the productivity and assembly of the fishing rod can be improved.
[0014] It is also preferable that the rear portion of the front rod and the front portion of the rear rod are expanded in diameter to a size corresponding to the inner peripheral surface of the reel seat.
[0015] With this configuration, even if the outer diameter of the front rod and the inner diameter of the reel seat are different, the rear of the front rod can be directly bonded to the inner surface of the reel seat. Furthermore, the front of the rear rod can be directly attached to the rear of the front rod or the inner surface of the reel seat. This eliminates the need for spacers or other components to secure the reel seat to the rod, reducing the number of parts and weight. Furthermore, the elimination of the bonding process for spacers and other components shortens assembly time and reduces costs. Furthermore, since vibrations are transmitted directly from the front rod to the reel seat, sensitivity is excellent during actual fishing.
[0016] According to the fishing rod of the present invention, the rear rod can be replaced with one of different lengths and thicknesses, making it possible to provide a fishing rod with excellent customizability.

[0018] Next, embodiments of the fishing rod of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings as appropriate. In the following description, "front" refers to the tip side, and "rear" refers to the butt side. In each embodiment, the same components may be omitted from the reference numerals and descriptions. Note that the cross-sectional views in each embodiment are schematic views, and the size and shape of each part are appropriately simplified for ease of understanding.
[0019] (First embodiment) Figure 1 is a cross-sectional view showing the main parts of a fishing rod 1 according to a first embodiment of the present invention. As shown in Figure 1, the fishing rod 1 comprises a front rod 10, a rear rod 20, and a cylindrical reel seat 30. The front rod 10 is directly bonded with an adhesive to a cylindrical inner peripheral surface 35 formed on the reel seat 30. The rear rod 20 is joined to the rear part of the front rod 10 inside the reel seat 30 using a spigot joint structure.
[0020] The front rod 10 and the rear rod 20 are configured as tubular bodies (hollow bodies) made of fiber-reinforced resin. The front rod 10 and the rear rod 20 are formed, for example, by winding a fiber-reinforced resin prepreg (prepreg sheet) made of reinforced fibers (mainly carbon fibers or glass fibers) impregnated with a synthetic resin such as epoxy resin around a core, and then undergoing a heating process and a de-core process.
[0021] The front rod 10 comprises a front rod main body 11 and a rear portion 12 that is continuous with the rear end of the front rod main body 11. The rear rod 20 comprises a rear rod main body 21 and a front portion 22 that is continuous with the front end of the rear rod main body 21. The rear portion 12 of the front rod 10 and the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20 are expanded in outer diameter to correspond to the inner diameter of the inner circumferential surface 35 of the reel seat 30.
[0022] The front rod body 11 is a cylindrical rod portion having a small diameter along the entire axial direction and an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30. The rear portion 12 includes a first inclined portion 13 continuing from the rear end of the front rod body 11 and a first large-diameter portion 14 continuing from the rear end 13a of the first inclined portion 13. The first inclined portion 13 has a funnel-like (approximately conical) outer and inner shape that gradually widens toward the rear. The outer diameter of the front end of the first inclined portion 13 corresponds to the outer diameter of the front rod body 11, and the outer diameter of the rear end 13a of the first inclined portion 13 corresponds to the inner diameter of the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30. The rear end 13a of the first inclined portion 13 is located radially inward of the front end surface 30a of the reel seat 30. As a result, the first inclined portion 13 is exposed in front of the reel seat 30 .
[0023] The first large diameter portion 14 is a cylindrical rod portion having a large diameter over the entire axial direction, and has an outer diameter corresponding to the inner diameter of the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30. The first large diameter portion 14 is bonded to the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30 with an adhesive. An annular member 40 for a spigot joint is previously bonded to the inner surface of the rear end portion 14a of the first large diameter portion 14 with an adhesive.
[0024] The rear rod body 21 of the rear rod 20 is a cylindrical rod portion having a small diameter along the entire axial direction. Like the front rod body 11, it has an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30. The front portion 22 has a second inclined portion 23 continuing from the front end of the rear rod body 21 and a second large-diameter portion 24 continuing from the front end 23a of the second inclined portion 23. The second inclined portion 23 has a funnel shape (approximately a cone shape) that gradually widens in diameter toward the front. The outer diameter of the rear end of the second inclined portion 23 corresponds to the outer diameter of the rear rod body 21, and the outer diameter of the front end 23a of the second inclined portion 23 corresponds to the inner diameter of the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30. The front end 23a of the second inclined portion 23 is located radially inward of the rear end surface 30b of the reel seat 30. As a result, the second inclined portion 23 is exposed to the rear of the reel seat 30 .
[0025] The second large diameter portion 24 is a cylindrical rod portion with a large diameter over the entire axial direction, and has an outer diameter that allows it to be press-fitted onto the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30. This reduces rattle of the second large diameter portion 24 relative to the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30. The front end 24a of the second large diameter portion 24 is externally fitted onto the rear outer surface of the annular member 40 so as to be attachable and detachable. With this spigot joint structure, the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20 is joined to the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10. As a result, the front rod 10 and the rear rod 20 are integrally connected inside the reel seat 30.
[0026] This rear rod 20 can be replaced with a rear rod 20 (not shown) of different lengths and thicknesses. In other words, by preparing a plurality of rear rods 20 (not shown) of different lengths and thicknesses, the fishing rod 1 can be customized to suit the type of fishing or the conditions of the fishing spot. When replacing the rear rod 20, the joint can be released by pulling the rear rod 20 rearward relative to the reel seat 30, making the replacement work easy.
[0027] The annular member 40 may be configured to be pre-adhered with an adhesive to the inner surface of the front end 24a of the second large diameter portion 24. In this case, the outer surface of the front portion of the annular member 40 is removably fitted into the inner surface of the rear end 14a of the first large diameter portion 14.
[0028] The reel seat 30 is a member for attaching a mounting leg of a fishing reel (not shown). The reel seat 30 also functions as a member for fixing the front rod 10 and the rear rod 20 together, and the front rod 10 and the rear rod 20 are integrally formed via the reel seat 30. The inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30 is a cylindrical surface with a large diameter over the entire axial direction, and has an inner diameter into which the first large diameter portion 14 of the front rod 10 and the second large diameter portion 24 of the rear rod 20 are inserted.
[0029] When assembling the fishing rod 1 described above, the front rod 10 is bonded to the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30 with an adhesive. In this case, adhesive is applied to the outer peripheral surface of the first large diameter portion 14 of the front rod 10 and the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30, and the first large diameter portion 14 is inserted into the inner peripheral surface 35 from the front of the reel seat 30 to a predetermined position. Then, after the adhesive has hardened, the second large diameter portion 24 of the rear rod 20 is inserted into the inner peripheral surface 35 from the rear of the reel seat 30 and fitted onto the rear outer surface of the annular member 40 of the front rod 10. In this way, the fishing rod 1 is assembled, with the front rod 10 and rear rod 20 attached to the reel seat 30.
[0030] The joint position (spigot joint position) between the front rod 10 and the rear rod 20 is not limited to the axial center of the inner peripheral surface 35, but may be shifted to another axial position.
[0031] According to the fishing rod 1 of this embodiment described above, rear rods 20 of different lengths and thicknesses can be attached to the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10. This allows for excellent customization of the fishing rod 1. By making the rear rods 20 interchangeable in this way, it is possible to create an optimal fishing rod 1 suited to the target fish, fishing method, fishing spot conditions, etc. Furthermore, since it is only necessary to prepare multiple types of rear rods 20 with different specifications, this is less expensive than preparing multiple types of fishing rods themselves, and also contributes to reducing the user's product purchase price.
[0032] In addition, since the rear rod 20 is attached to the rear part 12 of the front rod 10 inside the reel seat 30, the joint is not exposed to the outside, and the fingers gripping the rod will not come into contact with any unevenness or other irregularities caused by the joint. Therefore, it is excellent in terms of fishing operability and design.
[0033] Furthermore, the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10 and the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20 are expanded in diameter to accommodate the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30. This allows the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10 to be directly bonded to the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30, even when the outer diameter of the front rod 10 (the outer diameter of the front rod main body 11) and the inner diameter of the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30 are different. Furthermore, the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20 can be directly attached to the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10. This eliminates the need for spacers or other components to secure the reel seat 30 to the rods, reducing the number of parts and weight. Furthermore, the elimination of the bonding process for spacers or other components shortens assembly time and reduces costs. Furthermore, since vibrations are transmitted directly from the front rod 10 to the reel seat 30, sensitivity during actual fishing is excellent.
[0034] Second Embodiment Next, a fishing rod 1A according to a second embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 2. Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view showing the main parts of a fishing rod 1A according to a second embodiment of the present invention. This embodiment differs from the first embodiment in that a straight joint structure is used as the joint structure.
[0035] As shown in Figure 2, the rear end 14a of the first large diameter portion 14 is formed into a stepped cylindrical shape with a reduced diameter to form a straight joint structure. The front end 24a of the second large diameter portion 24 is removably fitted onto the rear end 14a of the first large diameter portion 14. This straight joint structure joins the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10A and the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20A.
[0036] In this embodiment as well, the second large diameter portion 24 is a cylindrical rod portion with a large diameter over the entire axial direction, and has an outer diameter that allows it to be press-fitted onto the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30. This reduces rattle of the second large diameter portion 24 against the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30. Note that the straight joint structure is not limited to this, and the front end 24a of the second large diameter portion 24 may be formed into a stepped cylindrical shape with a reduced diameter to form a straight joint structure, and this may be removably fitted into the rear end 14a of the first large diameter portion 14.
[0037] In this embodiment, too, a rear rod 20A of a different length or thickness can be attached to the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10A. This allows for excellent customization of the fishing rod 1A. Similarly, since the rear rod 20A is attached to the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10A inside the reel seat 30, the joint is not exposed to the outside, and any unevenness or other irregularities caused by the joint will not come into contact with the gripping fingers. This provides excellent fishing operability and design.
[0038] (Third Embodiment) Next, a fishing rod 1B according to a third embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 3. Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view showing a main portion of a fishing rod 1B according to the third embodiment of the present invention. This embodiment differs from the first and second embodiments in that the rear rod 20B is configured to be attachable and detachable to the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30B by screwing.
[0039] As shown in Figure 3, the first large diameter portion 14 of the front rod 10A is bonded to the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30 with an adhesive, as in the first and second embodiments. On the other hand, a male thread 24n is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the second large diameter portion 24 of the rear rod 20B. The male thread 24n is formed over substantially the entire axial length of the outer peripheral surface of the second large diameter portion 24. The area where the male thread 24n is formed can be set as appropriate.
[0040] An internal thread 35n is formed on the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30B, into which the external thread 24n of the second large diameter portion 24 is threaded. The internal thread 35n is formed in approximately half of the rear side of the inner peripheral surface 35, and faces the second large diameter portion 24 of the rear rod 20B. The formation area of the internal thread 35n can be appropriately set in accordance with the formation area of the external thread 24n of the second large diameter portion 24.
[0041] The front end surface 25 of the second large diameter portion 24 is abutted against the rear end surface 15 of the first large diameter portion 14 of the front rod 10B in a state in which the second large diameter portion 24 is fastened to the inner peripheral surface 35. As a result, the rear rod 20B is pressed and fixed to the reel seat 30B and firmly attached.
[0042] In this embodiment, rear rods 20B of different lengths and thicknesses can be attached to the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30B. This allows for excellent customization of the fishing rod 1B. Furthermore, the jointed portion is not exposed to the outside, and the fingers gripping the rod will not come into contact with unevenness or other irregularities that may result from the joint. This also provides excellent fishing operability and design. Furthermore, because the rear rod 20B is attached to the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30 by screwing, it is difficult to come off, and the attached state can be reliably maintained without any rattle.
[0043] (Fourth Embodiment) Next, a fishing rod 1C according to a fourth embodiment will be described with reference to Figure 4. Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view showing the main parts of a fishing rod 1C according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention. This embodiment differs from the first to third embodiments in that abutment projections 36 are provided on the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30C. As in the third embodiment, a male thread 24n is formed on the second large diameter portion 24 of the rear rod 20C, and a female thread 35n is formed on the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30C.
[0044] As shown in Figure 4, the protrusion 36 protrudes radially inward from the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30C. The rear end surface 15 of the first large diameter portion 14 of the front rod 10C abuts against the front surface of the protrusion 36 and is bonded thereto with an adhesive. The front end surface 25 of the second large diameter portion 24 abuts against the rear surface of the protrusion 36 by being fastened by screwing. The front and rear surfaces of the protrusion 36 are sized to face the rear end surface 15 of the front rod 10C and the front end surface 25 of the rear rod 20C, respectively.
[0045] Although the protrusion 36 is shown as one that protrudes circumferentially from the inner circumferential surface 35, the present invention is not limited to this and the protrusion 36 may protrude partially from the inner circumferential surface 35. The protrusion height (the amount of protrusion radially inward) of the protrusion 36 can be set appropriately. The protrusion 36 may be shaped like a wall that divides the inner circumferential surface 35 in the radial direction, and the rear end surface 15 of the front rod 10C and the front end surface 25 of the rear rod 20C may abut against the front and rear surfaces thereof.
[0046] According to this embodiment, the same effects as those of the above-described embodiment can be obtained, and in assembling the fishing rod 1C, the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10C can be easily positioned relative to the inner peripheral surface 35, facilitating assembly work. Therefore, the assembly time can be shortened, and costs can be reduced and productivity can be improved.
[0047] Furthermore, when the rear rod 20C is screwed in, the front end surface 25 of the second large diameter portion 24 abuts against the protrusion 36 while the rear rod 20C is fastened, so that the rear rod 20C is pressed and fixed to the reel seat 30C. This allows the rear rod 20C to be firmly attached to the reel seat 30C.
[0048] Fifth Embodiment Next, a fishing rod 1D according to a fifth embodiment will be described with reference to Figure 5. Figure 5 is a cross-sectional view showing the main parts of a fishing rod 1D according to the fifth embodiment of the present invention. This embodiment differs from the first to fourth embodiments in that the outer diameter of the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10D and the outer diameter of the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20D are different from each other. As with the third and fourth embodiments, a male thread 24n is formed in the second large diameter portion 24 of the rear rod 20D, and a female thread 35n is formed in the small diameter inner peripheral surface 35b of the reel seat 30D.
[0049] As shown in Figure 5, the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10D has a larger diameter overall than the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20D. Relatively speaking, the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20D has a smaller diameter overall than the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10D. Corresponding to these, the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30D is formed in a stepped cylindrical shape with a large-diameter inner peripheral surface 35a and a small-diameter inner peripheral surface 35b having different inner diameters. A step surface 35c is formed at the boundary between the large-diameter inner peripheral surface 35a and the small-diameter inner peripheral surface 35b.
[0050] The first large diameter portion 14 of the front rod 10D is bonded to the large diameter inner peripheral surface 35a with an adhesive. The rear end face 15 of the first large diameter portion 14 is bonded so that a portion of the rear end face 15 abuts against the stepped surface 35c of the inner peripheral surface 35. The second large diameter portion 24 of the rear rod 20D is attached to the small diameter inner peripheral surface 35b by screwing. A portion of the front end face 25 of the second large diameter portion 24 abuts against the rear end face 15 of the first large diameter portion 14 by being fastened by the screwing.
[0051] According to this embodiment, the same effects as those of the above-described embodiment can be obtained, and in assembling the fishing rod 1D, the rear end surface 15 of the first large diameter portion 14 can be attached so as to abut against the step surface 35c, which facilitates positioning and assembly work. This reduces assembly time, reduces costs, and improves productivity. Furthermore, since the front end surface 25 of the second large diameter portion 24 can be fastened so as to abut against the rear end surface 15 of the first large diameter portion 14, the rear rod 20D can be firmly attached to the reel seat 30D.
[0052] Furthermore, variations can be made in the structure that allows the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20D to be attached to and detached from the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30D, and the appearance (design) of the portion exposed to the rear of the reel seat 30D can also be changed. This allows the fishing rod 1D to be easily customized to one's liking by the simple task of replacing the rear rod 20D with one of different specifications.
[0053] Sixth Embodiment Next, a fishing rod 1E according to a sixth embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. 6. FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view showing a main portion of a fishing rod 1E according to a sixth embodiment of the present invention. This embodiment is a modified example that combines the fourth and fifth embodiments, and is characterized in that the outer diameter of the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10E and the outer diameter of the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20E are made different from each other, and the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10E and the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20E abut (contact) against a protrusion 36E provided on the inner peripheral surface 35. In this embodiment, as in the fourth and fifth embodiments, a male thread 24n is formed in the second large diameter portion 24 of the rear rod 20E, and a female thread 35n is formed in the small diameter inner peripheral surface 35b of the reel seat 30E.
[0054] As shown in Figure 6, the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10E has a larger diameter overall than the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20E. Relatively speaking, the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20E has a smaller diameter overall than the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10E. Corresponding to these, the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30E is provided with a large-diameter inner peripheral surface 35a and a small-diameter inner peripheral surface 35b, which have different inner diameters. The inner peripheral surface 35 has a stepped cylindrical shape.
[0055] The protrusion 36E protrudes radially inward at the boundary between the large-diameter inner circumferential surface 35a and the small-diameter inner circumferential surface 35b. The rear end surface 15 of the first large-diameter portion 14 of the front rod 10E abuts against the front surface of the protrusion 36E and is bonded thereto with an adhesive. The rear surface of the protrusion 36A also abuts against the front end surface 25 of the second large-diameter portion 24 of the rear rod 20E by being fastened by screwing.
[0056] This embodiment provides the same advantageous effects as the fourth and fifth embodiments. Specifically, when assembling the fishing rod 1E, the rear end surface 15 of the first large diameter portion 14 can be attached to the protrusion 36E, facilitating positioning and assembly. This reduces assembly time, reduces costs, and improves productivity. Furthermore, the front end surface 25 of the second large diameter portion 24 can be fastened to the protrusion 36E, allowing the rear rod 20E to be securely attached to the reel seat 30E.
[0057] (Seventh Embodiment) Next, a fishing rod 1F according to a seventh embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 7. Fig. 7 is a cross-sectional view showing the main parts of a fishing rod 1F according to the seventh embodiment of the present invention. This embodiment differs from the first to sixth embodiments in that a press-fit is used as the mounting structure for the rear rod 20F. The first large diameter portion 14 of the front rod 10F is adhered to the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30F with an adhesive.
[0058] The second large diameter portion 24 of the rear rod 20F has an outer diameter that allows it to be press-fitted into the rear portion of the inner circumferential surface 35 of the reel seat 30F. The rear portion 12 of the front rod 10F and the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20F are arranged in a non-contact state with a gap S1 in the axial direction of the reel seat 30F. As a result, when the rear rod 20F is attached by press-fitting, the front end surface 25 of the second large diameter portion 24 does not abut against the rear end surface 15 of the first large diameter portion 14 of the front rod 10, resulting in a structure in which the front rod 10 is not subjected to stress from the rear rod 20 due to press-fitting. The size of the gap S1 can be set as appropriate.
[0059] According to this embodiment, similar to the above-described embodiment, a rear rod 20F of different length and thickness can be attached to the inner peripheral surface 35 of the reel seat 30F. Furthermore, since the structure for attachment (joining) is simple, the cost of the fishing rod 1F can be reduced.
[0060] Although the embodiment of the present invention has been described above, appropriate design modifications are possible within the scope of the present invention. For example, while the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10 (10A, etc.) and the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20 (20A, etc.) are shown to have large diameters, they are not limited to this and may be formed with small diameters. In this case, the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20 (30B, etc.) is configured to be attachable and detachable to at least the reel seat 30 (including those with a spacer interposed therebetween).
[0061] In addition, in each of the above embodiments, the first inclined portion 13 and the second inclined portion 23 are shown to be exposed to the outside of the reel seat 30 (30B, etc.), but this is not limited thereto, and they may be configured so that a portion thereof is located inside the inner circumferential surface 35 of the reel seat 30. In addition, the first large diameter portion 14 and the second large diameter portion 24 may be configured so that a portion thereof is exposed to the outside of the reel seat 30 (30B, etc.).
[0062] In addition, for example, a hole may be formed in the reel seat 30 (30B, etc.) so that the joint state (contact state) between the rear portion 12 of the front rod 10 (10A, etc.) and the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20 (20A, etc.) can be visually observed from outside the reel seat 30.
[0063] In addition, in each of the above embodiments, the front rod 10 (10A, etc.) and the rear rod 20 (20A, etc.) are shown as tubular (hollow) bodies, but this is not limitative, and one or both of the front rod 10 (10A, etc.) and the rear rod 20 (20A, etc.) may be solid bodies, or a portion of them may be solid bodies.
[0064] The rear portion 12 of the front rod 10 (10A, etc.) may be made of a fiber-reinforced resin prepreg (prepreg sheet) different from that of the front rod body 11. Similarly, the front portion 22 of the rear rod 20 (20A, etc.) may be made of a fiber-reinforced resin prepreg (prepreg sheet) different from that of the rear rod body 21.
[0065] In addition, in the first and second embodiments, the outer diameter of the first large diameter portion 14 of the front rod 10, 10A and the outer diameter of the second large diameter portion 24 of the rear rod 20, 20A are shown to be approximately the same size, but this is not limited to this, and the outer diameters may be different from each other.
[0066] In addition, in the third and fifth embodiments, etc., the front portion 22 (second large diameter portion 24) of the rear rod 20B (20D) may be configured to be attachable and detachable to the rear portion 12 (first large diameter portion 14) of the front rod 10B (10D) by screwing it onto the rear portion 12 (first large diameter portion 14).
[0067] Furthermore, in the third to sixth embodiments, the reel seat 30B (30C, etc.) and the rear rod 20B (20C, etc.) are configured to be attachable and detachable by screwing together, but this is not limited to this, and the second large diameter portion 24 of the rear rod 20B (20C, etc.) may be configured to be attached and detachable by press-fitting into the inner surface 35 of the reel seat 30B (30C, etc.).
[0068] 1 to 1F: fishing rod; 10, 10A to 10F: front rod shaft; 12: rear portion; 20, 20A to 20F: rear rod shaft; 22: front portion; 30, 30B to 30F: reel seat; 35: inner peripheral surface; 36, 36E: protrusion
