[0033] The terms "comprises" and / or "comprising" as used in the specification do not exclude the presence or addition of one or more other components, steps, operations and / or elements.
[0034] FIG. 1 is a block diagram illustrating the configuration of a shopping service providing system (10) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 1, the shopping service providing system (10) may include a user terminal (100) and a service server (200).
[0035] A user terminal (100) may be a computing device used by a user to receive a shopping service from a service server (200). As exemplarily illustrated in FIG. 1, the user terminal (100) may include a smartphone (100a), a desktop (100b), a laptop (100c), etc. However, the present disclosure is not limited thereto, and the user terminal (100) may be implemented as any device. Hereinafter, when referring to any user terminal (e.g., 100a) or collectively referring to all user terminals (e.g., 100a to 100c), they will all be referred to by the reference numeral 100. The user terminal (100) may also be referred to as a 'client terminal', a 'buyer / purchaser terminal', a 'consumer terminal', etc.
[0036] The service server (200) may refer to a computing device / system that provides a shopping service. For example, the service server (200) may refer to a device / system (e.g., a shopping mall server) that provides an online shopping site. The service server (200) may provide a shopping service for registered products and may provide a page containing detailed information about the product. Furthermore, the service server (200) may provide a page that displays a combination of selectable options for each attribute for a product that includes one or more attributes. That is, the detailed information about the product may include, in addition to information about the product itself, an image of the product, price information, and delivery information based on the selected combination of options.
[0037] More specifically, the service server (200) can display information on a target product having a first attribute and a second attribute, each of which includes multiple options, on the user terminal (100). Furthermore, the service server (200) can display multiple combinations of one of the multiple options for the first attribute and one of the multiple options for the second attribute. For example, assuming that the target product is laundry detergent, the first attribute may be capacity and the second attribute may be quantity. In this case, the service server (200) can display multiple combinations of one of the options for the capacity attribute and one of the options for the quantity attribute.
[0038] If the number of options for the capacity attribute is M and the number of options for the quantity attribute is N (M and N are natural numbers), the number of multiple combinations will be M*N. However, since the screen size of the user terminal (100) is limited, not all M*N combinations can be displayed, and combinations of options that are helpful for the user's purchase should be displayed. Accordingly, the service server (200) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can representatively display a first combination of the currently selected option among the multiple combinations, a second combination corresponding to the lowest price, and a third combination having the highest purchase ranking. Each time each combination is selected, information on the target product (e.g., price information and delivery information) can be updated.
[0039] By eliminating the process of selecting options by attribute and directly displaying combinations of options, users can reduce the hassle of having to configure different options for each attribute to check product information. Users can also more intuitively view the prices of combinations corresponding to the lowest price and those with the highest purchase ranking, as well as easily identify price differences from the currently selected combination. This improves the user experience when purchasing products with multiple attributes.
[0040] Meanwhile, in some cases, two of the first, second, and third combinations described above may be identical. For example, the currently selected combination may be the combination with the lowest price, the currently selected combination may be the combination with the highest purchase ranking, or the combination with the lowest price may be the combination with the highest purchase ranking. In such cases, the service server (200) may additionally display the combination with the second lowest price or the combination with the second highest purchase ranking, resulting in a total of three combinations being displayed.
[0041] In addition to the three combinations described above, other combinations may be additionally displayed upon user request. Even in this case, the maximum number of combinations that can be displayed may be limited (e.g., limited to a maximum of seven) considering the screen size of the user terminal (100). The multiple combinations displayed in this manner may be sorted in ascending order based on either the first or second attribute.
[0042] Alternatively, in some cases, the displayed combinations may be sorted by the total price of the target product or by unit price. Out-of-stock combinations may be displayed at the bottom. Furthermore, if the total number of combinations exceeds the maximum number of combinations that can be displayed, an interface may be displayed allowing the user to select options for each attribute upon request.
[0043] In another embodiment, the service server (200) may filter the remaining combinations of options based on the first option selected from the first attributes among the above-described M*N multiple combinations. For example, if the number of combinations including the first option selected from the first attributes is three or more, the service server (200) may representatively display the currently selected first combination, the second combination corresponding to the lowest price among the combinations including the first option selected from the first attributes, and the third combination having the highest purchase ranking among the combinations including the first option selected from the first attributes. That is, if the user wants to see the combination corresponding to the lowest price or the combination having the highest purchase ranking but wants to keep the first option in the first attribute, the combination corresponding to the lowest price or the combination having the highest purchase ranking among the combinations including the first option may be displayed in this way, thereby assisting the user in selecting a combination of options for the product he or she wishes to purchase.
[0044] On the other hand, if the number of combinations including the first option selected from the first properties is less than three, and thus three combinations are not formed with only combinations including the first option, the service server (200) may, in the same manner as the above-described embodiment, representatively display the first combination of the currently selected option, the second combination corresponding to the lowest price among all combinations, and the third combination having the highest purchase order among all combinations.
[0045] The service server (200) may be implemented by at least one computing device. For example, all functions of the service server (200) may be implemented by a single computing device, or a first function of the service server (200) may be implemented by a first computing device, and a second function may be implemented by a second computing device. Alternatively, specific functions of the service server (200) may be implemented by multiple computing devices. For example, the computing devices may include any type of device equipped with a computing means and a communication means.
[0046] The user terminal (100) can also perform various operations / functions to provide the aforementioned shopping service. For example, the shopping service of the service server (200) can be provided through the web browser or application of the user terminal (100). For example, the user terminal (100) can display multiple combinations consisting of options for the first attribute and options for the second attribute for a target product including the first attribute and the second attribute. In addition, the user terminal (100) can, in conjunction with the service server (200), representatively display the currently selected combination, the combination corresponding to the lowest price, and the combination with the highest purchase ranking among the multiple combinations, and can additionally display the remaining combinations upon the user's request or provide an interface for selecting options for each attribute.
[0047] As illustrated in FIG. 1, a user terminal (100) and a service server (200) can communicate via a network. For example, the network can be implemented as any type of wired / wireless network, such as a local area network (LAN), a wide area network (WAN), a mobile radio communication network, or Wibro (Wireless Broadband Internet).
[0048] So far, with reference to FIG. 1, a shopping service provided by a user terminal (100) and a service server (200) according to some embodiments of the present disclosure has been briefly described. Below, a shopping service provision method according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, particularly embodiments that display possible combinations of product options, will be described in detail.
[0049] FIG. 2 exemplarily illustrates a user interface (20) for purchasing a product according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. For example, the user interface (20) may be an application running on a user terminal (100) or a screen displayed on a web browser. Referring to FIG. 2 , the user interface (20) may include an information display area (30) and an options display area (40). The information display area (30) displays information regarding the product's image, name, price, delivery, etc. The options display area (40) displays a combination of selectable options for each product attribute. In the case of FIG. 2, the target product is detergent, the first attribute is capacity, the second attribute corresponds to quantity, and the option display area (40) shows a combination of a capacity of 2.7 L and a quantity of 1 (2.7 L x 1 unit), a combination of a capacity of 2.7 L and a quantity of 2 (2.7 L x 2 units), and a combination of a capacity of 5.4 L and a quantity of 1 (5.4 L x 1 unit). In addition, a See More Options button is also shown in the option display area (40). The configuration of the option display area (40) according to the embodiment of the present disclosure will be examined in more detail below with reference to FIGS. 3 to 8.
[0050] FIG. 3 exemplarily illustrates an option display area (40) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The combination of options displayed in the option display area (40) of FIG. 3 is the same as the combination of options displayed in the option display area (40) of FIG. 2. As described with reference to FIG. 1 , the three combinations that are basically displayed in the option display area (40) may be a first combination of currently selected options, a second combination corresponding to the lowest price, and a third combination having the highest purchase priority. For example, referring to FIG. 3 , the currently selected 2.7L x 2 (42) may correspond to the first combination, 2.7L x 1 (41) may correspond to the second combination corresponding to the lowest price, and 5.4L x 1 (43) may correspond to the third combination having the highest purchase priority. At this time, if the user presses the Show More Options button (44), the remaining combinations not displayed in FIG. 3 among the multiple combinations may be displayed.
[0051] FIG. 4 shows an example of an option display area (40) after pressing the More Options button (44) of FIG. 3. Referring to FIG. 4, in addition to the combinations (41, 42, 43) shown in FIG. 3, combinations of 5.4L x 2 (45) and 10.8L x 1 (46) are shown. As shown in FIG. 4, a plurality of combinations can be sorted in ascending order according to the options of the first attribute and the second attribute. More specifically, a plurality of combinations can be displayed in ascending order of 2.7L, 5.4L, and 10.8L based on the first attribute, capacity, and can be displayed in order of 1, 2 based on the second attribute, quantity, within the same capacity. Meanwhile, a sold-out combination (in the case of FIG. 4, 10.8L x 1 (46)) can be displayed at the bottom.
[0052] In some embodiments, the plurality of combinations may be sorted based on criteria other than the options of the first and second attributes. For example, the plurality of combinations may be sorted in ascending order by the price of the entire product, in which case the combination corresponding to the lowest price (in the case of FIG. 4, 2.7L x 1 unit (41)) will be displayed at the top. Alternatively, the plurality of combinations may be sorted in ascending order by the unit price of the product, in which case the combination corresponding to the lowest unit price (in the case of FIG. 4, 5.4L x 2 units (45)) will be displayed at the top.
[0053] Additionally, as described with reference to FIG. 1, the maximum number of combinations that can be displayed in the option display area (40) displayed by pressing the Show More Options button (44) may be limited. If the number of possible combinations exceeds the maximum number of combinations that can be displayed, the user can check all combinations by pressing the Show All Options button (47).
[0054] Fig. 5 shows an example of an option display area (40) after pressing the View All Options button (47) of Fig. 4. Referring to Fig. 5, instead of listing possible combinations, the option display area (40) after pressing the View All Options button (47) may provide an interface (48) for selecting a first attribute, capacity, and an interface (49) for selecting a second attribute, quantity, for the selected capacity.
[0055] In the cases of FIGS. 3 to 5 examined so far, the number of options for the second attribute, quantity, that can be selected for each option of the first attribute, capacity, was two (one, two). If the number of options for the second attribute that can be selected for each option of the first attribute is three or more, the combination corresponding to the lowest price and the combination with the highest purchase order may be displayed among all products, but it may also be displayed among combinations having a specific first option of the first attribute. Hereinafter, with reference to FIGS. 6 to 8, an embodiment in which the number of options for the second attribute that can be selected for each option of the first attribute is three or more will be examined.
[0056] Figures 6 to 8 illustrate an option display area (50) according to another embodiment of the present disclosure. In the embodiments of Figures 6 to 8, the target product is a diffuser, the first attribute is capacity (500 mL, 1 L, 2 L), and the second attribute is scent (hotel wood scent, flower shop scent, white musk scent). Since there are three or more selectable options for the first attribute, as described above, the combination corresponding to the lowest price and the combination with the highest purchase order may be displayed among combinations having a specific first option of the first attribute, or may be displayed among all products.
[0057] Referring to FIG. 6, 500 mL x Flower Shop (52a) can correspond to the first combination currently selected, 500 mL x Hotel Wood Scent (51a) can correspond to the second combination corresponding to the lowest price among combinations with a capacity of 500 mL, and 500 mL x White Musk Scent (53a) can correspond to the third combination with the highest purchase order among combinations with a capacity of 500 mL. On the other hand, referring to FIG. 7, the first combination, the second combination, and the third combination are displayed among all combinations, as in FIG. 3. In the case of Fig. 7, 500 mL x Flower Shop (52b) can correspond to the first combination currently selected, 500 mL x Hotel Wood Scent (51b) can correspond to the second combination corresponding to the lowest price among all combinations, and 1 L x White Musk Scent (53b) can correspond to the third combination having the highest purchase order among all combinations.
[0058] That is, according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, when there are three or more selectable options of the first attribute, the possible combinations may be displayed as in FIG. 6 or as in FIG. 7, but when there are less than three selectable options of the first attribute, the possible combinations can only be displayed as in FIG. 7.
[0059] And, when the user presses the See More Options button (54), the option selection area (50) of Fig. 8 will appear. The plurality of combinations can be sorted in ascending order according to the options of the first and second properties, and the sold-out combination (2L x White Musk Scent) can be displayed at the bottom. Referring to Fig. 8, the plurality of combinations can be sorted according to the options of the first and second properties, similar to Fig. 5. At this time, the user can also check the combination of all options by pressing the See All Options button (55). The interface for checking the combination of all options is the same as that described with reference to Fig. 5, and therefore, a duplicate description will be omitted.
[0060] FIG. 9 is a flowchart exemplifying a method for displaying a combination of product options according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. For reference, FIG. 9 illustrates steps / operations of a method for displaying a combination of product options performed on a user terminal (100). Therefore, in the following descriptions, if the subject of a specific step / operation is omitted, it can be understood that it is performed on the user terminal (100). However, in an actual environment, some functions / operations of the user terminal (100) may be implemented on the service server (200), and some functions / operations of the service server (200) may be implemented on the user terminal (100). In other words, the subject performing a specific step / operation may vary depending on the implementation method.
[0061] In step S110, information on target products having first and second attributes, each of which includes multiple options, may be displayed. Furthermore, in step S120, multiple combinations, each consisting of one of the multiple options of the first attribute and one of the multiple options of the second attribute, may be displayed. Specifically, in step S121, a first combination of currently selected options, a second combination corresponding to the lowest price, and a third combination having the highest purchase ranking may be displayed. In step S122, upon a user's request (e.g., by clicking the "See More Options" button), combinations other than the first combination, the second combination, and the third combination may be additionally displayed. Finally, in step S130, information on the target product may be updated according to the selected combination.
[0062] FIG. 10 is a flowchart specifically illustrating the step (S121) of displaying the first combination, the second combination, and the third combination of FIG. 9. Referring to FIG. 10, in step S121-1, it may be determined whether two of the first combination of currently selected options, the second combination corresponding to the lowest price, and the third combination having the highest purchase order are identical. If two of the first, second, and third combinations are determined to be identical, in step S121-2, the fourth combination corresponding to the second lowest price or having the second highest purchase order may be additionally displayed.
[0063] Fig. 11 is a flowchart exemplifying a method for displaying combinations of product options according to another embodiment of the present disclosure. Similar to Fig. 9, Fig. 11 illustrates steps / operations of a method for displaying combinations of product options performed on a user terminal (100). Steps S210 and S230 are identical to steps S110 and S130 of Fig. 9, and therefore, redundant descriptions will be omitted, and step S220 will be described in detail.
[0064] In step S220, a plurality of combinations composed of one of a plurality of options of the first attribute and one of a plurality of options of the second attribute may be displayed. Specifically, in step S221, it may be determined whether the number of combinations including the first option selected from the first attribute is three or more. If the number of combinations including the first option selected from the first attribute is less than three (NO), in step S222, similar to step S121, the first combination of the currently selected options, the second combination corresponding to the lowest price, and the third combination having the highest purchase order may be displayed. On the other hand, if the number of combinations including the first option selected from the first attribute is three or more (YES), in step S223, the first combination of the currently selected options, the second combination corresponding to the lowest price among the combinations including the first option, and the third combination having the highest purchase order among the combinations including the first option may be displayed. Of course, if there are three or more combinations including the first option selected from the first properties, the second and third combinations may be displayed among all combinations, as in step S222. In step S224, combinations other than the first, second, and third combinations may be additionally displayed at the user's request.
[0065] FIG. 12 is a block diagram showing the hardware configuration of a computing device (500) for displaying a combination of product options according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
