[0148] EXAMPLE 2
[0149] Best Method of Working Determining the optimal extraction method and formulation is pivotal in unveiling the most efficacious blend for the intended dermatological applications. Through meticulous experimentation and comprehensive analysis, a conclusive understanding of the best methods has emerged, highlighting the extraction technique and formulation that exhibited superior efficacy within this inventive framework.
[0150] Extraction Methodology Assessment:
[0151] The assessment of various extraction methods, including maceration, Soxhlet extraction, ultrasonic extraction, cold percolation, reflux extraction, and Soxhlet extraction with different solvents, unveiled nuanced results. Among these methodologies, cold percolation method with methanol emerged as the most promising technique for extracting active compounds from almond hull, calendula flowers, and chamomile flowers.
[0152] The cold percolation process, owing to its extended duration and gentle nature, facilitated an optimal extraction of a diverse range of bioactive compounds from the plant materials. It enabled a comprehensive extraction of Amygdalin from almond hull, Quercetin from calendula, and Apigenin from chamomile, ensuring a well-rounded representation of the potent compounds present in these herbs. The extraction of active contents by fume generation also gave best results showing both processes as best working methods.
[0153] Formulation Development:
[0154] Building upon the findings from extraction methodologies, the formulations underwent meticulous development and assessment to identify the blend that showcased the most favorable outcomes across various dermatological conditions.
[0155] Upon extensive evaluation, Formulation 2 emerged as the frontrunner in efficacy. Comprising 40% almond hull, 30% calendula, and 30% chamomile extracts, this formulation demonstrated remarkable efficacy in addressing skin-related fungal infections, psoriasis, eczema, and alopecia areta.
[0156] The synergistic effects of the compounds derived from almond hull, calendula, and chamomile in Formulation 2 exhibited superior therapeutic properties, showcasing notable improvements in efficacy compared to other formulations. It demonstrated a balanced composition that maximized the cumulative benefits of each herb, culminating in a formulation with heightened efficacy in addressing the targeted dermatological concerns.
[0157] Thus, the combination of the cold percolation extraction method and fume generation method, particularly using methanol, and the formulation ratio in Formulation 2 has proven to be the best method of working within this inventive framework. This optimized combination not only facilitated a comprehensive extraction of active compounds but also resulted in a formulation that showcased superior efficacy in addressing a spectrum of skin-related afflictions.
[0158] This conclusion, drawn from rigorous experimentation and assessment, signifies a significant milestone in refining the methodology employed within this invention. It serves as a guiding beacon, delineating the most effective pathways towards harnessing the therapeutic potential of herbal blends for enhanced dermatological care.
