Description

Stained glass window made of composite material Field of technology

[0001] The invention relates to the field of decorative products, namely to artistic stained glass windows, and can be used in interior design, for example, in lighting, in the manufacture of windows, doors, furniture, and also in architecture.

[0002] A stained glass window of increased strength RU 133778 U1, published on 27.10.2013, is known, comprising a base glass sheet and an artistic element composed on it, made by applying a polymer contour with subsequent filling of the intercontour space with colored polymer acrylic varnishes, a second glass sheet and an elastic sealing gasket, which, when assembled with the base glass sheet, form a glass unit, wherein the gap formed between the glasses is filled with acrylic or polystyrene, or polyurethane resin, or a liquid oligomer-monomer photocurable composition for strengthening the stained glass window with its subsequent polymerization.

[0003] The production of such stained glass is labor-intensive and expensive, and the finished product is quite heavy.

[0004] Stained glass RU 2179116 C2, published 10.02.2002, containing a decorative panel is known. The decorative panel contains a base of layers of dielectric material, which are fabric or paper impregnated with a polymer binder, or a film of thermoplastic material. Layers of decorative coating are applied to the front surface of the panel. The panel together with the decorative coating is obtained by pressing the layers.

[0005] This product is not transparent. Since the decorative coating is applied to the front surface, it is subject to external influences, requires caution when cleaning, carrying, storing.

[0006] The closest in manufacturing technology to the claimed stained glass is the multilayer product RU 2510437 C1, protected from counterfeiting, published on 27.03.2014. The product contains sheets of paper impregnated throughout the entire volume and coated over the entire surface with a polymer binder. The lamination package formed in this way is subjected to hot pressing-lamination.

[0007] The method for manufacturing such a product includes impregnating sheets of paper with a melt of a thermosetting or thermoplastic polymer or their mixtures throughout the entire volume so that the surfaces of each sheet are covered with a layer of polymer, followed by drying and partial polymerization, assembling a package containing several impregnated sheets, subsequent hot pressing-lamination of the assembled package and cutting out products of a given geometric shape.

[0008] The disadvantage of such a product is the low transparency of the resulting material, which does not allow it to be used as stained glass.

[0009] The objective of the proposed technical solution is to eliminate the shortcomings of known analogues and create a stained glass window that is light and durable compared to glass analogues, has acceptable transparency characteristics, and is less labor-intensive to manufacture compared to traditional technology. Disclosure of the essence of the invention

[0010] The technical result of the claimed invention is the creation of a stained glass window made of a composite material that has thermal and chemical resistance, in which the image is protected from external influences, which allows it to be used in an external environment, as well as to clean the surface of the stained glass window with thermochemical agents without damaging the image.

[0011] The technical result is achieved by producing a stained glass window containing layers of fibrous structure impregnated in a solution of thermosetting polymer, in which at least one of the layers is printed with an image, and all layers are pressed together to form a transparent or translucent structure in which the image is visible when held up to the light.

[0012] In particular, the fibrous structure is formed by plant and / or synthetic fibers and / or a mixture thereof.

[0013] In particular, bleached cotton or bleached wood pulp are used as plant fibers.

[0014] In particular, melamine or phenol or urea-formaldehyde resin in the presence of a hardener is used as a thermosetting polymer.

[0015] In particular, the image is made using offset, screen or flexographic printing.

[0016] In particular, the image is made by printing using reflective and / or luminescent dyes.

[0017] In particular, the image is applied to at least one inner layer.

[0018] In particular, at least one surface of the stained glass window is embossed.

[0019] In particular, at least one surface of the stained glass window is made glossy.

[0020] The production of stained glass includes impregnation of the fibrous structure with a solution of thermosetting polymer, drying and partial polymerization, assembly of layers into a package, while before assembly, at least one of the layers is printed with an image, and subsequent hot pressing-lamination. In this case, the thickness and number of layers are selected depending on the requirements for the transparency of the stained glass. Implementation of the invention

[0021] Example 1.

[0022] The stained glass consists of 7 layers. Each layer is a semi-finished product based on a canvas of 100% bleached wood cellulose, impregnated with an aqueous solution of phenol-formaldehyde resin modified with an acrylic polymer. The composition of the impregnation for all layers, vol. %: resin 70, acrylic 30.

[0023] The upper and lower layers 1 and 7 are made of fabric weighing 25-45 g / m 2 .

[0024] Middle layers 2-6 are made of 90 g / m2 fabric 2 .

[0025] The image is applied to layers 3 and 4 using offset printing.

[0026] All layers are impregnated with a polymer composition so that all free spaces are filled and the thickness of the outer polymer layer is at least 0.3 microns.

[0027] Then, preliminary drying with partial polymerization is carried out to remove excess penetration mixture to obtain semi-finished products – composite films.

[0028] The resulting semi-finished products are assembled into a lamination package. Then, using the hot pressing-lamination method at a temperature of 120 to 210°C and a holding time corresponding to the temperature (15 sec. - 20 min.), sheet plastic is obtained.

[0029] The resulting plastic is mechanically cut into a stained glass window of the required shape.

[0030] Example 2.

[0031] The stained glass consists of 5 layers. Each layer is a semi-finished product based on a fibrous structure of 100% cotton fiber, impregnated with a 9.5% solution of urea-formaldehyde resin modified with acrylic polymer. The composition of the impregnation for all layers, vol. %: resin 80, acrylic 20.

[0032] The upper and lower layers 1 and 5 are a fibrous structure weighing 25-45 g / m 2 .

[0033] Layers 2 and 4 are made of fibrous structure weighing 65-120 g / m 2 .

[0034] Middle layer 3 is made of fibrous structure weighing 120 g / m 2 , has an image applied using flexographic printing.

[0035] All layers are impregnated with a polymer composition so that all free spaces are filled, and the thickness of the outer polymer layer is not less than 0.3 µm. Then the solvent is completely removed with simultaneous polymerization of polycarbonate to obtain semi-finished products - composite films.

[0036] The resulting composite films are assembled into a lamination package. Then, using the hot pressing-lamination method at a temperature of 160 to 180°C and a holding time corresponding to the temperature (from 15 seconds to 20 minutes) and pressure, sheet plastic is obtained. Plates or belts with a surface relief for obtaining additional decorative elements can be used for pressing.

[0037] The stained glass window of the required shape is cut out from the resulting monolithic composite.

[0038] Example 3.

[0039] The stained glass consists of 11 layers. Each layer is a semi-finished product based on a fibrous structure consisting of 80% cellulose and 20% polyamide fibers, impregnated with a solution of melamine-formaldehyde resin modified with an acrylic polymer. The composition of the impregnation for all layers, vol. %: resin 75, acrylic 25.

[0040] All layers 1-11 are fibrous structure weighing 65-120 g / m 2 .

[0041] Print layer 2 contains an image applied using screen printing with the addition of reflective dyes.

[0042] All layers are impregnated with a polymer composition so that all free spaces are filled and the thickness of the outer polymer layer is at least 0.3 microns.

[0043] Then, preliminary drying with partial polymerization is carried out to remove excess penetration mixture to obtain semi-finished products – composite films.

[0044] The resulting semi-finished products are assembled into a lamination package. Then, using the hot pressing-lamination method at a temperature of 120 to 210°C and a holding time corresponding to the temperature (15 sec. - 20 min.), sheet plastic is obtained.

[0045] The resulting plastic is mechanically cut into a stained glass window of the required shape.

[0046] The proposed technical solution allows for the production of stained glass windows containing multi-tone images with smooth transitions, unlike known technologies containing only single-color sections. The resulting stained glass window has a transparent / semi-transparent structure, in which the image is visible when held up to the light.

[0047] The image on the stained glass is protected from external influences and, therefore, has thermal and chemical resistance, which allows the stained glass to be used in the external environment, as well as to be processed with thermochemical agents without damaging the image.
