Description

Folding comb

[0001] The present invention relates to a folding comb having a plated surface.

[0002] When the surface of a comb is plated, the surface becomes smooth, reducing contact friction with hair. Such combs have been shown to be effective in discharging static electricity accumulated in hair by grounding the human body (see, for example, Patent Document 1). As noted in Patent Document 1, plating results in non-plated areas at the contact points with the electrodes. Plating can cause problems, such as peeling from the non-plated areas, and paint can dissolve in hair dyes and other agents. Therefore, these non-plated areas must be covered with plated parts. In Patent Document 1, the non-plated areas are covered with a mating lid. This plating process allows for smooth, comfortable hair movement and prevents clogging.

[0003] International Publication No. 2017 / 126021

[0004] However, in Patent Document 1, the non-plated portion of the comb is covered with a cover from both sides. This requires two separate covers in addition to the comb body, which increases the number of parts. Furthermore, in the case of a folding comb, the bent portion inevitably makes it thin, so there is a need for improved operability.

[0005] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned conventional technology, and aims to provide a folding comb that can efficiently cover non-plated parts without increasing the number of parts, preventing plating peeling, and that can improve operability during use.

[0006] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a folding comb comprising a comb portion having a plurality of teeth and a plated portion and an unplated portion, a through hole formed through the comb portion, a rotating shaft inserted into the through hole, and a grip portion rotatably connected to the comb portion via the rotating shaft, wherein the unplated portion is covered by the rotating shaft or the grip portion.

[0007] Preferably, the non-plated portion is formed on the inner wall surface of the through hole and is in contact with the outer wall surface of the rotary shaft.

[0008] Preferably, the grip portion has a raised portion that rises in the left-right direction around the rotation shaft.

[0009] Preferably, the grip portion has a recess formed by being recessed from the bottom side to the top side.

[0010] Preferably, the comb portion has a bulging portion that bulges out in the left-right direction on the gripping portion side of the comb teeth.

[0011] According to the present invention, since the non-plated portion is covered by the rotating shaft or the gripping portion, it is possible to cover and hide the non-plated portion with only the necessary components to form the folding comb. Therefore, it is possible to prevent plating peeling from the non-plated portion without preparing a separate part to cover the non-plated portion, i.e., without increasing the number of parts. Furthermore, since the non-plated portion is covered, there is no need to be careful not to touch the non-plated portion when using the folding comb, which improves operability during use.

[0012] Furthermore, since the non-plated portion is formed on the inner wall surface of the through hole and is in contact with the outer wall surface of the rotating shaft, it is possible to prevent the non-plated portion from being exposed to the outside as much as possible, and even if plating peeling occurs, the possibility of it being exposed to the outside can be reduced.

[0013] Furthermore, by providing a raised portion on the grip, thickness can be created around the rotation axis. This increases the rigidity of the area most likely to wobble and break, thereby extending the life of the folding comb. This thickness also makes it easier to grip and improves operability during use.

[0014] Furthermore, by providing a recess in the grip, the user can place the middle finger there, improving operability during use. This is particularly effective as thin folding combs are difficult to hold.

[0015] Furthermore, by providing a bulge on the comb, the thumb and index finger can be placed there, making it easy to determine the position of the hand during use. This allows for smooth start to use and improves operability during use.

[0016] Fig. 1 is a schematic side view of a folding comb according to the present invention; Fig. 2 is a schematic perspective view of the folding comb according to the present invention as seen from the side, bottom and back sides; Fig. 3 is a schematic plan view of the folding comb according to the present invention; Fig. 4 is a schematic side view of a comb section; Fig. 5 is a schematic side view showing a state in which the comb section is provided with a rotation shaft; Fig. 6 is a schematic perspective view of the rotation shaft; Fig. 7 is a schematic side view showing the folding comb according to the present invention in a folded state; Fig. 8 is a schematic perspective view showing the folding comb according to the present invention in a folded state.

[0017] As is clear from FIGS. 1 to 8 , the folding comb 1 according to the present invention comprises a comb portion 2 and a grip portion 3. The comb portion 2 has a plurality of comb teeth 4. The comb teeth 4 are used to comb hair. As shown in FIG. 4 , the comb portion 2 has through-holes 5 that penetrate the comb portion 2 in the left-right direction. The comb portion 2 is plated, and the plated portions form plated portions. On the other hand, the comb portion 2 also has non-plated portions that are not plated. The non-plated portions are formed at contact points with the electrodes during the plating process. In the example shown in the figures, the non-plated portions are formed on the inner wall surfaces of the through-holes 5. Note that plating may also be formed on the surface of the grip portion 3.

[0018] As shown in Fig. 5, a rotating shaft 6 is inserted through the through-hole 5. As shown in Fig. 6, the outer shape of the rotating shaft 6 is formed to match the shape of the through-hole 5, with a generally cylindrical shaft body protruding from it. A hole is formed in the gripping portion 3 into which the generally cylindrical shaft body can be inserted, and the rotating shaft 6 is fitted into this hole. Therefore, the gripping portion 3 is rotatably connected to the comb portion 2 via the rotating shaft 6. In the folding comb 1 having such a structure, the non-plated portion is covered by the rotating shaft 6 whether the comb portion 2 and the gripping portion 3 are in an open state in which they extend in a straight line, or whether the gripping portion 3 is in a closed state in which it is rotated and folded relative to the comb portion 2.

[0019] Because the non-plated portions are covered by the rotating shaft 6, they can be concealed using only the components necessary to form the folding comb 1. This eliminates the need for additional components to cover the non-plated portions, i.e., the number of components is not increased, and plating peeling from the non-plated portions can be prevented. Furthermore, because the non-plated portions are covered, the user does not need to be careful not to touch the non-plated portions when using the folding comb 1, improving operability during use. In particular, in the illustrated example, the non-plated portions are formed on the inner wall surface of the through-hole 5 and in contact with the outer wall surface of the rotating shaft 6, minimizing exposure of the non-plated portions to the outside. Even if plating peeling does occur, the possibility of the non-plated portions being exposed to the outside can be reduced. Furthermore, because the non-plated portions are formed on the inner wall surface of the through-hole 5 and in contact with the outer wall surface of the rotating shaft 6, friction between the comb portion 2 and the grip portion 3 does not rub against the non-plated portions when opening and closing the folding comb 1, preventing plating peeling from the non-plated portions.

[0020] The non-plated portion may be formed anywhere in the overlapping region 7, which is the portion that overlaps when the gripping portion 3 rotates relative to the comb portion 2. Even if a non-plated portion is present in this overlapping region 7, the non-plated portion is covered by the gripping portion 3, thereby achieving the same effect as described above. In this case, it is preferable to have a non-plated portion in the overlapping region 7, which is the portion that is covered by the gripping portion 3, whether the folding comb 1 is in an open or closed state, because the non-plated portion will always be covered by the gripping portion 3.

[0021] The grip portion 3 has a raised portion 8 that rises in the left-right direction around the rotating shaft 6. By providing the raised portion 8 on the grip portion 3 in this way, it is possible to create thickness around the rotating shaft 6. This increases the rigidity around the rotating shaft 6, which is the area most likely to wobble and break, and extends the life of the folding comb 1. Furthermore, this thickness makes it easier to grip and improves operability during use.

[0022] The grip 3 has a recess 9 that is recessed from the bottom to the top. By providing the recess 9 on the grip 3, the user can place the middle finger there, improving operability during use. This is particularly effective because the folding comb 1 is thin and difficult to hold.

[0023] The comb portion 2 has a bulging portion 10 that bulges out in the left-right direction on the grip portion 3 side of the comb teeth 4. By providing the bulging portion 10 on the comb portion 2, the thumb and index finger can be placed there, making it easy to determine the position of the hand during use. This allows for a smooth start to use and improves operability during use.
