Abstract
Description
Crane system and operating device
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a crane system and an operating device.
[0002] A conventional crane system in which a crane is operated by an operating device is known, such as that described in Patent Document 1. In the crane system described in Patent Document 1, an operator operates the crane while referring to an image on a touch panel display, thereby moving the crane's hoisting device to a desired position.
[0003] JP 2012-180158 A
[0004] When using a portable operating device, the operator operates the crane from outside. At this time, if the operator determines that safety is required, an emergency stop must be performed. The above-mentioned crane system uses a touch panel, which poses a problem in terms of the reliability of the emergency stop.
[0005] The present disclosure has been made to solve such problems, and aims to provide a crane system and an operation monitoring method that can improve the reliability of emergency stops of a crane.
[0006] The crane system disclosed herein comprises a crane that handles objects using a hoisting device suspended by a sling, and a portable operating device that operates the crane. The operating device has an information terminal that displays images and allows input of operating information including at least the destination of the hoisting device, and a mechanical switch that instructs the crane to start and stop, and automatically moves the hoisting device to a set destination.
[0007] The portable operating device has an information terminal that displays images and can input operating information including at least the destination of the hoisting tool. Therefore, the operator can determine the destination of the hoisting tool while viewing the image from outside the crane. The information terminal automatically moves the hoisting tool to the set destination. Therefore, the operator does not need to operate specific crane operations when moving the hoisting tool to the destination. Here, the operating device is equipped with mechanical switches that instruct the crane to start and stop. Therefore, the operator can quickly perform an emergency stop by using the mechanical switches. In addition, the information terminal automatically moves the hoisting tool to the set destination. Therefore, the operator can perform an emergency stop without worrying about operations, focusing on confirming the safety of the area around the crane. As a result, the reliability of emergency stops of the crane can be improved.
[0008] The mechanical switch may be a deadman's switch that has a function of starting and stopping the driving operation. By using a deadman's switch that can stop the driving operation by releasing the operator's hand, an emergency stop can be quickly performed by the operator releasing the operator's hand.
[0009] The mechanical switch may be a grip switch. In this case, an emergency stop can be effected immediately when the operator releases his / her hand from the grip switch. This allows the mechanical switch to also function as a deadman's switch.
[0010] The crane system may further include a head-mounted display that displays an image in front of the operator's eyes, and a first image capturing unit that is provided on the crane and changes the capturing range in accordance with the movement of the head-mounted display. In this case, by changing the direction of the operator's face while wearing the head-mounted display, the operator can check the image captured by the first image capturing unit in accordance with the operator's movement.
[0011] The crane may further include a second camera unit provided at the base end of the hoisting member for capturing images below, and the information terminal may display an image captured by the second camera unit and set a destination based on a selected portion of the captured image. In this case, the operator can easily set the destination of the hoisting device based on the image captured from above by the second camera unit.
[0012] The information terminal may display a first selection image for selecting at least one of the swing angle and swing radius of the crane, and set the destination based on the selection in the first selection image. In this case, the operator can easily set the destination of the hoisting device based on the first selection image for selecting at least one of the swing angle and swing radius.
[0013] The information terminal may display a second selection image for selecting the height position of the sling, and set the destination based on the selection point in the second selection image. In this case, the operator can easily set the destination of the sling based on the second selection image for selecting the height position of the sling.
[0014] The information terminal may display a third selection image that allows the operator to select the amount of operation of the crane in stages, and may operate the crane based on the result of selection in the third selection image. In this case, the operator can fine-tune the position of the hoisting tool using the third selection image in stages.
[0015] The operating device is an operating device that operates a crane that handles loading and unloading objects using a hoisting device suspended by a sling, and has an information terminal that displays images and allows input of operating information including at least the destination of the hoisting device, and a mechanical switch that instructs the crane to start and stop, and automatically moves the hoisting device to the set destination.
[0016] According to the operating device of the present disclosure, it is possible to obtain the same functions and effects as those of the crane system described above.
[0017] According to the present disclosure, it is possible to provide a crane system and an operation monitoring method that can improve the reliability of emergency stops of a crane.
[0018] It is a block diagram showing the block configuration of the crane system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. It is a schematic diagram showing the device configuration of the crane system. It is a schematic diagram showing an operation device. It is a diagram showing an image displayed on a touch panel. It is a process diagram showing the operation of the crane system.
[0019] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the crane system and operating device of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0020] FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing the block configuration of a crane system 100 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram showing the device configuration of the crane system 100. The crane system 100 is a system for operating a crane 20 arranged at a work site using an operation device 50. In this embodiment, a jib crane, which is a slewing crane, is exemplified as the crane 20. However, the type of crane 20 is not particularly limited, and may be a portal crane, a bridge crane, an overhead crane, or the like.
[0021] As shown in FIG. 1 , the crane system 100 includes a crane 20 and an operation device 50 .
[0022] First, an example of the configuration of the crane 20 will be described with reference to Figure 2. In this embodiment, a jib crane is used as an example of the rotating crane 20. The crane 20 is capable of traveling along rails 36 installed on the ground. The crane 20 includes a jib 31 that suspends a load, a main body 32 that supports the jib 31, a support 34 that rotatably supports the main body 32, and a traveling section 33 that supports the support 34 and is capable of traveling along the rails 36. A hoisting tool 37 is attached to the tip of a hoisting member 39 extending from the jib 31, and the hoisting tool 37 suspends a load 38. Therefore, the position of the load 38 coincides with the position of the hoisting tool 37.
[0023] The jib 31 rotates together with the hoisting device 37 around the rotation center CL at a rotation angle θ, and the radial position of the hoisting device 37 can be changed depending on the magnitude of the working radius R1 relative to the main body 32. The radius around which the rear end of the main body 32 rotates is defined as the rear rotation radius R2. Therefore, the hoisting device 37 can be moved within the range of the circle (working radius R1) indicated by the dashed-dotted line in FIG. 3(b). Furthermore, the position of the hoisting device 37 can be changed by the crane 20 traveling at a traveling speed V along the rails 36. Note that the term "swing radius" includes both the working radius R1 and the rear rotation radius R2.
[0024] The crane 20 includes a control device 10, an upper photographing unit 21 (second photographing unit), a movable photographing unit 22 (first photographing unit), and a communication unit 23. The control device 10, the upper photographing unit 21, the movable photographing unit 22, and the communication unit 23 are connected to each other wirelessly or via a wire so as to be able to communicate with each other.
[0025] The control device 10 controls the entire crane 20. The control device 10 is provided in the main body 32. The control device 10 (and the information terminal described below) includes, for example, a processor, memory, storage, a communication interface, and a user interface. The processor is a computing device such as a CPU (Central Processing Unit). The memory is a storage unit such as a ROM (Read Only Memory) or a RAM (Random Access Memory). The storage is a storage unit (storage medium) such as a HDD (Hard Disk Drive). The communication interface is a communication device that realizes data communication. The processor controls the memory, storage, communication interface, and user interface. As shown in FIG. 1 , the control device 10 includes a calculation unit 11 and an operation control unit 12. The calculation unit 11 performs calculations for various control processes for the crane 20. The operation control unit 12 controls each drive unit based on operation instructions. The communication unit 23 is a device that communicates with the operation device 50. The communication unit 23 is provided on the travel unit 33, but the location is not particularly limited.
[0026] As shown in Figure 2, the upper photographing unit 21 is a camera provided on the base end side of the sling 39 of the crane 20. In this embodiment, the upper photographing unit 21 is provided at the tip of the jib 31. The upper photographing unit 21 photographs the downward direction. This allows the upper photographing unit 21 to photograph the area near the sling 37 and the area near the ground below the sling 37. The upper photographing unit 21 transmits the photographed images to the information terminal 51 via the communication unit 23.
[0027] The movable imaging unit 22 is a camera with a movable imaging range. The movable imaging unit 22 is provided on the crane 20, and can vary its imaging range in accordance with the movement of a head-mounted display (described later). In this embodiment, the movable imaging unit 22 is provided on the front side of the main body 32, but the position is not particularly limited. The movable imaging unit 22 transmits the captured images to the information terminal 51 via the communication unit 23.
[0028] The operation device 50 is a portable device for operating the crane 20. By carrying the operation device 50, an operator can operate the crane 20 from a location other than the driver's seat of the crane 20 (for example, from the ground). As shown in FIG. 1 , the operation device 50 includes an information terminal 51, a switch 52, and a head-mounted display 53.
[0029] The information terminal 51 is a terminal that displays images and allows input of operation information including at least the destination of the load from the hoisting device 37. The information terminal 51 is also a terminal that can output an operation command pattern for moving to a set destination. Specifically, the information terminal 51 is configured as a portable PC with a touch panel, a tablet terminal, a smartphone, or the like. The information terminal 51 includes a communication unit 54, a calculation unit 56, an input unit 57, and a display unit 58. The communication unit 54 communicates with the communication unit 23 of the crane 20. The communication unit 54 may also transmit ID information for identifying the information terminal 51 to the crane 20. The calculation unit 56 performs various calculations in the information terminal 51. The calculation unit 56 calculates the display content of the display unit 58. The calculation unit 56 also calculates the operation content of the crane 20 based on input from the input unit 57. The input unit 57 is a unit that inputs operation information from the operator. The display unit 58 is a unit that displays images used by the operator for operation. The input unit 57 and the display unit 58 are configured by a touch panel 59 (see FIG. 3).
[0030] The operator sets the destination of the hoisting device 37 of the crane 20 by inputting operation information into the touch panel 59 while viewing the image displayed on the touch panel 59. The calculation unit 56 calculates what operation the crane 20 will perform to move the hoisting device 37 to the set destination. The calculation unit 56 calculates an operation that can move the hoisting device 37 to the destination by combining the travel, rotation, and retraction of the jib 31 of the crane 20. The information terminal 51 transmits the calculated operation information to the crane 20 via the communication unit 54. This allows the information terminal 51 to automatically move the hoisting device 37 to the set destination. Details of the image displayed on the touch panel 59 and the operation information input thereto will be described later.
[0031] As shown in FIG. 3 , the switch 52 is a mechanical switch that instructs the crane 20 to start and stop. The mechanical switch is not a switch displayed on an image, such as the touch panel 59 of the information terminal 51, but a switch with an actual pressing mechanism. The mechanical switch may be a deadman's switch equipped with a function for starting and stopping the crane's operation. The deadman's switch is a switch that can stop the crane's operation by releasing the operator's hand. The switch 52 is connected to the information terminal 51 via a line L1. In this embodiment, a grip switch 60, which is a type of deadman's switch, is used as the switch 52. The grip switch 60 includes a handle 61 that the operator grips and a button 62 that the operator presses. The button 62 is provided on a portion of the side of the handle 61. The button 62 is positioned so that it is pressed simultaneously when the operator grips the handle 61. The button 62 is released from its pressed state when the operator releases the handle 61. When button 62 is pressed, information terminal 51 determines that an instruction has been given to start crane 20. Furthermore, when button 62 remains pressed, information terminal 51 determines that an instruction has been given to continue operating crane 20. When the operator releases handle portion 61 and button 62 is released, information terminal 51 determines that an instruction has been given to make an emergency stop of crane 20.
[0032] By using the grip switch 60, after setting the destination on the information terminal 51, it is possible to constantly monitor the status of the suspended load using the actual object or camera footage without operating the information terminal 51, and it is also possible to prevent erroneous operation such as touching the information terminal 51. In particular, when minute positioning by inching is required near the destination, touch operation on the information terminal 51 requires input while checking the button position, which slows down the operation and increases the possibility of erroneous operation due to repeated operations. In contrast, when using the grip switch 60, inching operation is possible by repeatedly turning the grip switch 60 ON and OFF. The grip switch 60 may also be equipped with an option button. For example, the grip switch 60 may be an option button located in a position where the operator can operate it with their thumb. Using such an option button enables zooming in and out of the image captured by the movable imaging unit 22, thereby achieving better monitoring during operation.
[0033] The head-mounted display 53 is a device worn by the operator on his or her face that displays an image in front of the operator's eyes. The head-mounted display 53 displays an image captured by the movable imaging unit 22. The operator can view images on the information terminal 51 through the gap in the head-mounted display 53 even while wearing the head-mounted display 53. The movable imaging unit 22 adjusts the imaging range in accordance with the movement of the head-mounted display 53. The head-mounted display 53 has an attitude sensor 63, such as a gyro sensor or an acceleration sensor, that can detect the left-right orientation D1A and the up-down orientation (tilt) D2A of the operator's face. The movable imaging unit 22 adjusts the orientation D1B and tilt D2B of the imaging range based on the detection result of the orientation of the operator's face. For example, if the operator falls, for example, and the detected value of the attitude sensor 63, such as a gyro sensor or an acceleration sensor, exceeds a predetermined range, an abnormality may be detected and control may be performed to bring the crane 20 to an emergency stop. Furthermore, the information terminal 51 may be operable in accordance with head movement. For example, a button on the information terminal 51 can be selected by moving left and right or up and down, and the button can be pressed by nodding twice.
[0034] Specifically, the head-mounted display 53 is connected to the information terminal 51 via line L2. The information terminal 51 acquires the detection result of the face orientation by the head-mounted display 53. The calculation unit 56 of the information terminal 51 calculates the left-right orientation D1B and the up-down tilt D2B of the imaging range of the movable imaging unit 22 based on the detection result of the face orientation. The information terminal 51 transmits command information for the orientation of the movable imaging unit 22 to the movable imaging unit 22. As a result, the movable imaging unit 22 changes the imaging range to an orientation that corresponds to the orientation of the operator's face based on the command information.
[0035] Next, an example of an image 70 displayed on the touch panel 59 of the information terminal 51 will be described with reference to Fig. 4. However, the image displayed on the touch panel 59 is not limited to that shown in Fig. 4. Furthermore, the content shown in Fig. 4 may be omitted as appropriate. As shown in Fig. 4, the information terminal 51 includes an upper captured image 71, a rotation selection image 72 (first selection image), a height position selection image 73 (second selection image), a retraction adjustment image 74 (third selection image), a travel adjustment image 76 (third selection image), a rotation adjustment image 77 (third selection image), and a main winding adjustment image 78 (third selection image).
[0036] The upper photographed image 71 is an image photographed by the upper photographing unit 21. When selecting a destination for the sling 37, the operator selects the desired destination from the upper photographed image 71 and touches the location. This causes the information terminal 51 to set the destination based on the selected location. The information terminal 51 sets the touched location in the upper photographed image 71 as the destination.
[0037] The swing selection image 72 is an image for selecting the swing angle of the crane 20 (see θ in FIG. 2(b)). The swing selection image 72 shows a schematic diagram of the crane 20 as seen from above. The operator selects a desired destination from the swing selection image 72 and touches that location. This causes the information terminal 51 to set the destination based on the location selected on the swing selection image 72. The swing selection image 72 allows the operator to specify the swing angle and working radius R1 (see FIG. 2(b)).
[0038] The height position selection image 73 is an image for selecting the height position of the hoisting tool 37 of the crane 20. The height position selection image 73 shows a schematic diagram of the jib 31 of the crane 20 as viewed from the side. The operator selects a desired destination from the height position selection image 73 and touches that location. This causes the information terminal 51 to set the destination based on the location selected in the height position selection image 73. The height position selection image 73 allows the operator to specify the height of the hoisting tool 37 and the working radius R1 (see FIG. 2(b)). The height position selection image 73 also displays the state of the auxiliary hoist, but since this is the same as for the main hoist, further explanation will be omitted.
[0039] The retraction adjustment image 74 is an image that allows for stepwise selection of the retraction amount of the jib 31 as the amount of operation of the crane 20. The travel adjustment image 76 is an image that allows for stepwise selection of the movement amount in the travel direction as the amount of operation of the crane 20. The swing adjustment image 77 is an image that allows for stepwise selection of the swing angle of the jib 31 as the amount of operation of the crane 20. The main hoist adjustment image 78 is an image that allows for stepwise selection of the amount of winding of the hoisting material 39 as the amount of operation of the crane 20. Each of the adjustment images 74, 76, 77, and 78 can be adjusted in four steps on either side, with the current position set to "0." For example, the operator may move the hoisting device 37 using the upper captured image 71, the swing selection image 72, and the height position selection image 73, and then make fine adjustments using each of the adjustment images 74, 76, 77, and 78.
[0040] The information terminal 51 can recognize the operation command of the operator when the operator touches a selected location on the image 70. When the switch 52 is ON, the information terminal 51 transmits the contents to the control device 10 of the crane 20. When the switch 52 is OFF, the information terminal 51 transmits all operation commands as 0 to the control device 10. When transmitting an operation command signal, the information terminal 51 also transmits its own ID information at the same time, so that the control device 10 of the crane 20 can recognize the command sender. The crane 20 may, for example, remember the ID information when the main power supply is turned on, and not accept other ID information until the switch is turned off.
[0041] Next, with reference to Fig. 5, a work process when operating the crane 20 using the operation device 50 will be described. Fig. 5 is a process diagram of the crane system 100. As shown in Fig. 5, first, the operator starts the operation device 50 and synchronizes the crane 20 with the operation device 50 (step S10). Next, the information terminal 51 displays an image 70 such as that shown in Fig. 4 on the touch panel 59 (step S20).
[0042] Next, the operator confirms the contents of the image 70 and checks the head-mounted display 53 to determine the destination (step S30). At this time, the movable photographing unit 22 changes the photographing range depending on the orientation of the operator's face. The operator touches the destination on one of the upper photographed image 71, the rotation selection image 72, and the height position selection image 73 on the touch panel 59. This causes the information terminal 51 to set the touched position as the destination (step S30). The information terminal 51 calculates a speed output pattern for each operating axis for moving the hoist 37 to the destination and transmits an operation command to the crane 20 based on this pattern. This causes the information terminal 51 to move the hoist 37 to the position desired by the operator (step S40). The process of step S40 is performed by the operator holding the grip switch 60 and pressing the button 62. After the movement is complete, the information terminal 51 determines whether or not work is possible (step S45). If it is determined that work is possible (NO in step S45), the process shown in FIG. 5 is completed. If it is determined that the work is not possible (YES in step S45), the operator then performs fine adjustment of the position of the hoisting device 37 (steps S50 and S60) by operating each of the adjustment images 74, 76, 77, and 78. Here, the fine adjustment includes setting a destination (step S50) and moving the hoisting device 37 (step S60).
[0043] Next, the functions and effects of the crane system 100 and the operating device 50 according to this embodiment will be described.
[0044] The portable operation device 50 displays an image and includes an information terminal 51 capable of inputting operation information including at least the destination of the hoisting device 37. Therefore, the operator can determine the destination of the hoisting device 37 from outside the crane 20 while viewing the image. The information terminal 51 automatically moves the hoisting device 37 to the set destination. Therefore, the operator does not need to operate specific operations of the crane 20 when moving the hoisting device 37 to the destination. Here, the operation device 50 includes a mechanical switch 52 that instructs the start and stop of the crane 20. Therefore, the operator can quickly perform an emergency stop by using the mechanical switch 52. In addition, the information terminal 51 automatically moves the hoisting device 37 to the set destination. Therefore, the operator can perform an emergency stop while paying attention to confirming the safety of the area around the crane 20 without worrying about operation. As described above, the reliability of an emergency stop of the crane 20 can be improved.
[0045] The mechanical switch 52 may be a deadman's switch that has a function of starting and stopping the driving operation. By using a deadman's switch that can stop the driving operation by releasing the operator's hand in this way, an emergency stop can be quickly performed by the operator releasing the operator's hand.
[0046] The mechanical switch 52 may be a grip switch 60. In this case, an emergency stop can be effected immediately when the operator releases the grip switch 60. Thus, the mechanical switch 52 also functions as a deadman's switch.
[0047] The crane system 100 may further include a head-mounted display 53 that displays an image in front of the operator's eyes, and a movable image capturing unit 22 that is provided on the crane 20 and changes the capturing range in accordance with the movement of the head-mounted display 53. In this case, the operator can change the direction of his or her face while wearing the head-mounted display 53, thereby checking the image captured by the movable image capturing unit 22 in accordance with the operator's movement.
[0048] The crane 20 further includes an upper photographing unit 21 that is provided at the base end of the sling 39 and photographs the area below, and the information terminal 51 displays the image photographed by the upper photographing unit 21 and may set the destination based on a selected portion of the photographed image. In this case, the operator can easily set the destination of the sling 37 based on the image photographed by the upper photographing unit 21 from above.
[0049] The information terminal 51 may display a swing selection image 72 for selecting at least one of the swing angle and swing radius of the crane 20, and set the destination based on the selection made on the swing selection image 72. In this case, the operator can easily set the destination of the hoisting tool 37 based on the swing selection image 72 for selecting the swing angle.
[0050] Information terminal 51 may display height position selection image 73 for selecting the height position of sling 37, and set the destination based on the location selected in height position selection image 73. In this case, the operator can easily set the destination of sling 37 based on height position selection image 73 for selecting the height position of the sling.
[0051] The information terminal 51 may display each of the adjustment images 74, 76, 77, and 78, which allow the amount of operation of the crane 20 to be selected in stages, and may operate the crane based on the selection results of each of the adjustment images 74, 76, 77, and 78. In this case, the operator can fine-tune the position of the hoisting device 37 using each of the staged adjustment images 74, 76, 77, and 78.
[0052] The operating device 50 is an operating device 50 that operates a crane that loads and unloads objects using a hoisting device 37 suspended by a sling 39, and has an information terminal 51 that displays images and can input operating information including at least the destination of the hoisting device 37, and a mechanical switch 52 that instructs the crane 20 to start and stop, and automatically moves the hoisting device 37 to the set destination.
[0053] According to the operating device 50 of this embodiment, it is possible to obtain the same functions and effects as the crane system 200 described above.
[0054] The present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiments.
[0055] For example, in the above-described embodiment, a grip switch was used as the mechanical switch. This mechanical switch can be replaced with a different type of switch depending on the actual operation and application. For example, a controller used in games, equipped with a variety of switches and mechanisms, such as a more compact and simple push button switch, joystick, or vibrator, may also be used. A variety of inputs can be used to input crane operation operations, and when a crane alarm is issued, the switch vibrates to notify the operator of a dangerous condition. As in the above-described embodiment, the switch and the information terminal are connected by a line and configured as separate devices, so that they can be retrofitted to an existing information terminal. This allows the operator to start and stop the crane using only the switch without having to hold the information terminal in their hands (e.g., while it is tucked away in their clothing). This effect can also be achieved by using various types of switches, such as those described above.
[0056] The head-mounted display may be omitted.
