Abstract

A system may include a first storage compartment. A system may include a second storage compartment. A system may include a middle compartment situated between the first and second storage compartments, wherein the middle compartment includes a hidden pocket supported by an expandable material. A system may include a plurality of attachment points disposed on the carrier bag. A system may include a shoulder strap configured to allow a user to wear the carrier bag, wherein the shoulder strap is connected to the bag by a subset of the attachment points.

Conventional carrier bags typically consist of a single storage compartment, limiting the organization and separation of items within the bag. However, these designs often lack additional features that enhance functionality and user experience.

The middle compartment may be selectively expandable via a zipper mechanism. The zipper mechanism may be a closed-bottom zipper having a bottom stop that prevents the opposing sides of the zipper from fully separating. This mechanism, when unzipped, may reveal the hidden pocket. The zipper mechanism may include a tapered, extended zipper. This design may allow the middle compartment to expand outward, creating a flat, supported pocket.

The hidden compartment in the middle compartment of the carrier bag may, when expanded, be configured to hold a beverage container. Furthermore, the exterior of the carrier bag may provide additional quick access storage options for items that require frequent access. The shoulder strap of the carrier bag may be adjustable, allowing for changes in length and orientation to suit various user preferences. Theexpandable material of the hidden pocket may be designed to collapse when the pocket is not in use, contributing to maintaining a compact profile for the carrier bag. Due to the zipper mechanism 118 extending past the sewn edge, the bottom wall 116 allows the bag to expand outward, thus creating a flat, supported pocket. The tapered tab allows the pocket to expand without the user having to re-feed the zipper box and pin.

Claims:

1. A carrier bag system comprising: a first storage compartment; a second storage compartment; a middle compartment situated between the first and second storage compartments, wherein the middle compartment includes a hidden pocket supported by an expandable material; a plurality of attachment points disposed on the carrier bag; and a shoulder strap configured to allow a user to wear the carrier bag, wherein the shoulder strap is connected to the bag by a subset of the attachment points.

2. The carrier bag system of claim 1, wherein the middle compartment is selectively expandable via a zipper mechanism that, when unzipped, reveals the hidden pocket.

3. The carrier bag system of claim 2, wherein the zipper mechanism includes a tapered, extended zipper that allows the middle compartment to expand outward to create a pocket having a flat, supported base.

4. The carrier bag system of claim 3, wherein the hidden pocket is configured to hold a beverage container.

20. The method of claim 19, wherein the step of expanding the hidden pocket includes allowing the expandable material to create a flat, supported pocket, and wherein the tapered tab of the zipper mechanism allows the expanding without the need for re-feeding the zipper box and pin.
