Abstract
Description
[0001] PROTECTIVE TAPE
[0002] Field of the Invention
[0003] The invention relates to a protective tape made of plastic-based materials such as PP, PVC, which can be used as a gusset for insulation and resistance against external influences, which is resistant to water and scratches, and which can be rotated (folded) 360 degrees on both sides.
[0004] Prior Art
[0005] Protective tapes are currently used as gussets. These protective tapes are used for insulation and protection against external influences in many different places such as wall joints of homes or offices, skirting boards, furniture edges, edges of windows, etc.
[0006] However, existing products have some disadvantages.
[0007] One of these disadvantages is that the existing protective tapes can only rotate a maximum of 90 degrees in one direction. Existing products may break if they are rotated more than 90 degrees.
[0008] Another disadvantage of existing products is that they can be produced from flexible materials and materials that are risky for human health. For this reason, their use on a dining table, baseboards or kitchen furniture is quite risky for human health.
[0009] A protective tape (A) of the prior art is shown representatively in Figure 3. As seen in the figure, a very small V-shaped notch (B) is created in the form of a cut on the inner surface of the protective tape (A) of the prior art. However, this V-shaped notch (B) allows the protective tape (A) to be folded inward at a maximum of 90 degrees. If folded at angles greater than 90 degrees, the protective tape (A) may break off from the V-shaped notch (B). For this reason, it is difficult and risky to use existing products at joints with angles greater than 90 degrees.
[0010] In the patent and literature research, no patent similar to the protective tape subject to the invention was found.
[0011] Object of the Invention
[0012] The main object of the invention is to develop a protective tape that can be manufactured from plastic-based materials such as PP and PVC and can rotate (fold) 360 degrees on both sides. In this way, it has become possible to use the protective tape of the invention at joints with angles greater than 90 degrees.
[0013] Another object of the invention is that it can be used as a bracket for insulation and resistance against external influences, and it is resistant to water and scratches thanks to its polypropylene (PP) material.
[0014] Another object of the invention is to ensure that the inventive protective tape is preferably made of polypropylene (PP) material so that it can be used on dining tables, skirting boards or kitchen furniture without posing a risk to human health.
[0015] Brief Description of Drawings

[0028] Detailed Description of the Invention
[0029] The invention relates to a protective tape (1 ) made of plastic-based materials such as PP, PVC, which can be used as a gusset for insulation and resistance against external influences, which is resistant to water and scratches, and which can be rotated (folded) 360 degrees on both sides.
[0030] An illustrative perspective view of the inventive protective tape (1 ) is given in Figure 1. Protective tape (1) is sold in roll form and can be easily applied by sticking it to the desired area. With the help of the double-sided tape (2) on the inner surface (1.1 ) of the protective tape (1 ), the protective tape (1) can be easily applied by sticking it to the desired area.
[0031] A side section view of the inventive protective tape (1 ) is given in Figure 2. With the help of the channel (1.1.1 ) formed on the inner surface (1 .1 .1 ) of the protective tape (1 ), the protective tape (1 ) can be rotated (folded) 360 degrees on both sides. The form of said channel (1.1.1 ) may be semi-elliptic or semicircular. With the help of this channel (1.1.1 ) structure, the protective tape (1 ) has the ability to rotate (fold) 360 degrees to both sides. Thus, it has become possible to use the protective tape (1 ) of the invention at joints with angles greater than 90 degrees.
[0032] The width (1.2) of the protective tape (1 ) of the invention is between 20 mm - 200mm. The depth (1.3) of the protective tape (1) of the invention is between 0.4 mm - 5mm. It is ensured that the inventive protective tape (1) is preferably made of polypropylene (PP) material so that it can be used on dining tables, skirting boards or kitchen furniture without posing a risk to human health. It is also made water and scratch resistant with the help of PP material.
[0033] A protective tape (A) of the prior art is shown representatively in Figure 3.
[0034] The inventive protective tape (1 ) can be used in different sizes, for different purposes and in different shapes, as it is cuttable. It can be used in many areas such as frame profile, parquet profile, door profile, kitchen counter protection etc. In addition, thanks to its 360-degree bendability (foldable), it is possible to use part of the 8.5 meter strip of plastic protective tape (1 ) sold as a protective profile and angle iron, while the other part can also be used for insulation and decorative purposes. Therefore, multi-purpose needs are met with a single product.
