Abstract
Description
[0001] DESCRIPTION
[0002] PROTECTIVE URBAN FURNITURE
[0003] OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0004] The invention, as the title of this specification indicates, is protective street furniture. This innovation offers advantages previously unknown within current technologies.
[0005] The street furniture presented here has at least one solar panel on its roof, generating enough electricity to power fans. This allows people to stand under the roof to protect themselves from the sun's rays and also receive a flow of air that reduces the sensation of heat.
[0006] TECHNICAL SECTOR
[0007] Therefore, this invention is limited to the sector of manufacturing urban furniture and structures for protection against inclement weather, as well as within the manufacturing of garden furniture or recreational or leisure areas of a public or private nature.
[0008] STATE OF THE ART
[0009] Within the state of the art in the field of urban installations and public furniture, it is recognized that heat waves are a growing concern, especially in urban areas where temperatures can reach extremely high levels. This problem is exacerbated for vulnerable groups such as the elderly, infants, or people with certain medical conditions, for whom high temperatures are not only a matter of discomfort but can also pose a significant risk to their health.
[0010] Exposure to the sun for prolonged periods of waiting, such as waiting for a bus or in any other situation requiring outdoor exposure, is particularly dangerous for these groups of people. Currently, street furniture, such as bus stops, provides basic protection from direct sun exposure, but does not effectively address the reduction of ambient heat buildup in these areas. Given this need, it is clear that infrastructure that offers more than shade, implementing solutions that activate cooling and improve thermal comfort in public spaces, is essential. Thus, the development of street furniture with integrated cooling capabilities, such as bus stops with advanced shading systems that incorporate elements such as finely atomized water sprinklers, fans, or even evaporative cooling technologies, is considered relevant.
[0011] The current state of the art regarding street furniture that combines solar protection with active cooling is still developing, representing an area of opportunity for innovation. The design of these new structures must consider energy efficiency, sustainability, and harmonious integration with the urban environment. The implementation of such systems will not only improve the quality of life and public health, but will also reflect a commitment to adapting to and mitigating rising urban temperatures.
[0012] The existence of any product with the same technical characteristics as the invention presented here is unknown.
[0013] DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0014] The object of the present invention is the creation of protective urban furniture that provides a notable innovation within its field of application in the current state of the art, the characterizing details that make it possible being conveniently included in the final claims that accompany this description.
[0015] The furniture presented here allows people and animals to protect themselves from the elements, especially heat and heatstroke. In addition to protecting against the sun's rays, it also reduces the sensation of heat by incorporating fans.
[0016] For this purpose, the furniture comprises a structure consisting of a cover and at least one pillar or support attached to the ground. The length of the pillar or support must be such that at least one person, standing or sitting, can be placed under the cover.
[0017] The roof will have at least one solar panel located on the top of the roof, as this is where the sun's rays hit. To reduce the thermal sensation, the structure has at least one fan powered by the solar panel. This ensures that the furniture is self-sufficient, and it also generates the most electricity when it is most needed, as this is when it is hottest, and this is when the fan or fans are driven. EXPLANATION OF THE FIGURES
[0018] To complete the description being made and in order to help better understand the characteristics of the invention, this descriptive report is attached, as an integral part thereof, with a figure in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented.
[0019] Figure 1 shows a view of an example of furniture.
[0020] PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
[0021] In the context of improving street furniture to address the challenges of extreme heat, the present invention introduces a novel design solution to provide protection and relief to citizens.
[0022] The protective urban furniture incorporates a structure (1) comprising a cover (1.1) supported by at least one pillar or support (2), designed in such a way that at least one person standing or sitting can comfortably take shelter underneath.
[0023] This cover (1.1) integrates at least one solar panel (3) in its upper part, which captures solar energy to power at least one fan (4) located in the structure (1), thus providing refreshing air circulation without dependence on the electrical grid.
[0024] In a preferred embodiment, the fan (4) is mounted on the bottom of the cover, strategically to maximize the cooling effect for people below.
[0025] The furniture may also include at least one USB charging connector (5), allowing users to charge mobile devices using the energy generated by the solar panel, adding additional functionality to the furniture.
[0026] Preferably, the cover has opaque properties, offering effective shade and protection against direct solar radiation.
[0027] In one embodiment, the furniture has two pillars or supports (2), which suggests a robust and stable configuration to support the cover.
[0028] It could also include at least one seat (6), providing users with a comfortable place to sit and rest, increasing the usefulness of the protective street furniture.
[0029] The invention may also include a lighting system, for example using LEDs. In one embodiment of the invention, the structure (1) comprises at least one means for generating heat, thereby providing warmth to the users of the street furniture during the cold season.
[0030] In a preferred embodiment, the structure (1) comprises a battery to store the electricity generated by the solar panel (3) in such a way that the elements that require electricity to operate, such as fans, the USB charger or heating means, can operate, at least for a period of time even when no electrical energy is being generated by the solar panel (3).
[0031] This invention represents a significant improvement in urban infrastructure, focusing on the comfort and safety of citizens during hot weather, while incorporating renewable energy and sustainability into its operation.
[0032] Having sufficiently described the nature of the present invention, as well as the manner of putting it into practice, it is not considered necessary to explain it further so that any expert in the field may understand its scope and the advantages derived from it, stating that, within its essence, it may be put into practice in other embodiments that differ in detail from that indicated by way of example, and to which it will also achieve the protection sought provided that its fundamental principle is not altered, changed or modified.
