Description

GASIFIER BURNER FOR DRY-FEED PULVERIZED COAL GASIFICATION PROCESSESBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a gasifier burner for a dry-feed pulverized coal gasification process.

[0002] The traditional way of utilizing coal is direct combustion, which is not only inefficient but also highly polluting, leading to increased emissions of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and atmospheric mercury. In the past decade, the coal chemical industry has been influenced by environmental-protection factors and gradually developed in the direction of large-scale and greening. Coal gasification is an important way for clean utilization of coal, and the technology adapts to the requirements of sustainable economic development and has developed rapidly in recent years. Coal gasification technology is a technology that turns solid coal into gaseous hydrocarbons, CO, H2 and other gases, with the aim of obtaining clean energy and chemical raw materials. The principle thereof is cause a chemical reaction between coal, coal coke, or petroleum coke and gasification agents (air, oxygen, water vapor, hydrogen, and the like) at a certain temperature and pressure, converting the organic matter in coal, coal coke or petroleum coke into coal gas. Entrained flow coal gasification processes can be further divided into coal-water slurry gasification and pulverized coal gasification. Compared with coal-water slurry gasification, pulverized coal gasification has the characteristics of high gasification efficiency, good performance indicators, wide application of coal types, and has relatively high techno-economic and environmental advantages.

[0003] In pulverized coal gasification processes, a pulverized coal burner is the core equipment of the gasifier, which is expensive and costs high in maintenance and replacement, having a large impact on the economy of gasifier operation. Since the burner is placed in the gasifier, the working environment is harsh, and the life thereof is relatively short in general. Therefore, the service life of pulverized coal burners has become the key to the long period operation of gasifiers. The part of a pulverized coal burner that is most prone to erosion is the fire-facing face of the burner, and the abrasion is mainly caused by the high temperature radiation or direct flame burning in the gasifier. Although extensive research has been conducted in the prior art on gasifier burners, there are still many problems remain to be solved.

[0004] In addition, food processing industry, paper industry and the downstream side of coal chemical industry produce a large amount of organic waste liquids, which may contain toxic and harmful substances such as benzene, phenol, phenanthrene, naphthalene, anthracene, quinone and the like, and may also contain organic substances such as carbohydrates, proteins, grease, lignin and the like. Organic waste liquid is prone to cause water eutrophication, which poses relatively large harm and requires complex process methods to handle, such as physical methods, extraction methods, adsorption methods, concentration methods, biodegradation methods and the like. The complexity in the composition of organic waste liquid is the key factor that makes it difficult to treat or degrade, and the increasingly demanding environmental-protection requirements urge chemical enterprises to invest a large amount of cost to deal with waste liquids produced in production.

[0005] Therefore, there is a need to develop a burner that can realize the functions of ignition start-up and of being thrown into waste liquids after the ignition start-up, while ensuring the cooling of the burner, increasing the service life thereof, shortening maintenance cycles, increasing production capacity, and reducing costs.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] Aspects and advantages of the present invention will be set forth in part in the following characterizations, or may be apparent from the characterizations, or may be known by the practice of the invention.
