[0003] The present invention relates to a hair treatment device. In particular, the device which is the subject matter of the present invention can be used for hair styling, in particular it is intended for amateur use by the end user and preferably, but not exclusively, directed at a female audience.
[0004] A hair styling device is known in the state of the art. This device comprises a flexible hose, e.g. made of rubber, which is placed over the user's head. In use, the hair is wrapped around the tube and then held in place for an extended period of time, at the end of which the device is removed.
[0005] The known device has some disadvantages. In particular, the device is unable to complete the styling satisfactorily.
[0006] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0007] In this context, the technical task underlying the present invention is to provide a hair treatment device which obviates the drawbacks of the prior art as described above.
[0008] In particular, it is the aim of the present invention to make available a hair treatment device capable of completing the styling process in a short time.
[0009] The defined technical task and the specified objects are substantially achieved by a hair treatment device comprising the technical characteristics set forth in one or more of the appended claims.
[0010] In particular, a hair treatment device in accordance with the present invention comprises a top portion configured to be stably positioned on top of the user's head.
[0011] The device also comprises at least a pair of the functional portions extending from the top portion. Each functional portion is made at least partially of thermally conductive material, and has at least one contact surface arranged to be placed in contact with a user's hair. Each functional portion can be associated with a perimeter area of the user's head.
[0012] A heat source is placed within each functional portion, and is thermally associated with the contact surface to transmit heat to the user's hair.
[0013] In accordance with the present invention, the top portion comprises a support that can be fixed to a user's head. The functional portions are rotatable with respect to the support.
[0014] This device solves the technical problem as it incorporates a heat source in its inside. For proper styling, it is then sufficient to place the device on a user's head and wrap the hair around the functional portions. The heat input given by the device itself is in fact sufficient to perform the styling in a much shorter time than that of the known device.

[0022] With reference to the appended figures, 1 denotes a hair treatment device in accordance with the present invention.
[0023] In particular, the device 1 comprises a top portion 2, which is designed to be placed stably on top of a user's head. In accordance with a first embodiment of the invention, shown for example in Figure 1, the top portion 2 has a predominantly two- dimensional development and has its own flexibility, which makes it capable of adapting to heads of different shapes and sizes. Preferably the top portion 2 is made of a suitable material such as rubber or silicone. Alternatively, in the embodiment shown in Figure 6, the top portion 2 is defined by a support 30, which preferably takes the form of a circle.
[0024] At least one functional portion 3 extends from the top portion 2. The functional portion 3 is made at least partially of thermally conductive material, as its function is to transmit heat to the user's hair in order to carry out proper styling. The functional portion 3 can therefore be associated with a perimeter area of the user's head.
[0025] Note that the device 1 comprises a plurality of the functional portions 3, in particular an even number of the functional portions 3. In use, the functional portions 3 are placed symmetrically to each other on a user's head. In the embodiment example in figure 1 , the device 1 comprises two functional portions 3. Similarly, in the embodiment example shown in Figure 5, the device 1 comprises four functional portions 3. Preferably, each functional portion 3 is made at least partially of a highly heat-resistant material, e.g. silicone.
[0026] In more detail, each functional portion 3 has a substantially tubular shape, in particular it has a substantially circular cross-section. The functional portion 3 is also flexible, so that it can easily adapt to the shape of the user's head, if necessary in conjunction with the top portion 2. Each functional portion 3 has in particular a first end 3a connected to the top portion 2 and a second end 3b free and opposite the first end 3a. The functional portion 3 is at least partially hollow. In particular, a seat 7 is defined within the functional portion. More details on the components located in the seat 7 will be provided in a later part of this description.
[0027] In the embodiment of figure 6, the functional portions 3 are defined at the respective ends of a tubular element 31, which then extends continuity between them. A connecting element 32 is arranged between the functional portions 3 and the above- mentioned support 30. In detail, the connecting element 32 is arranged between the central area of the tubular element 31 and the connecting element 32. Advantageously, the connecting element 32, by keeping the functional portions 3 further away from the user's head, allows higher temperatures to be reached than with known devices, thereby improving the styling effect.
[0028] It should be noted that, in the embodiment shown in Figure 6, the connecting element 32 is rotatable with respect to the support 30 around a central axis A which, in use, is arranged in a vertical or near-vertical position. In other words, the connecting element 32 defines a hinge 33 with respect to the support 30. Advantageously, this allows the angle at which the functional portions 3 are placed on the user's head during use such that to vary hairstyle.
[0029] With further detail, the functional portion 3 has a contact surface 4, i.e. the lateral surface of the functional portion 3. This contact surface 4 is designed to be placed in contact with a user's hair.
[0030] The contact surface 4 also has at least one knurled area 5, in particular placed at the second end 3b of the functional portion 3.
[0031] The functional portions 3 comprise end portions 34, which each define a corresponding second end 3b of a respective functional portion 3. In an embodiment not shown, the end portions 34 are interchangeable so as to vary the dimensions of the functional portion 3, in particular its diameter. More specifically, the interchangeability of the functional portions 3 is achieved by replacing the tubular element 31 in its entirety. It should be noted that the electronics required for the operation of device 1 are preferably housed in one of the end portions 34, so it is simple and inexpensive to provide a plurality of tubular elements 31, each with a different diameter, together with device 1. Advantageously, this allows the treatment to be tailored to the user's wishes.
[0032] In accordance with the present invention, the device 1 comprises a heat source 6 located within the functional portion 3, in particular in the housing 7. The heat source 6 is also thermally associated with contact surface 4, so that heat is transmitted to the user's hair.
[0033] In more detail, the heat source 6 is defined by an electrical resistor located within functional portion 3. The device 1 thus comprises power supply means 8, associated with the heat source 6 and located in the top portion 2 and / or functional portions 3. Such power supply means 8 optionally comprise at least one battery 9, preferably of a rechargeable type and even more preferably located near the second end 3b of the functional portion 3. The battery 9 is a rechargeable type, preferably of the lithium polymer type. Preferably, the battery 9 is capable of delivering at least 600 W within ten seconds after being switched on.
[0034] The power supply means 8 also comprise at least one socket 10, electrically connected to the battery 9 and in particular located at the second end 3b of the functional portion 3. The socket 10 can then be connected via a cable 11 to a power source (not illustrated) so that the battery 9 can be recharged.
[0035] In an alternative embodiment, not illustrated, the battery 9 is not present. In this case, the heat source 6 is supplied directly by cable 11 connected to an external power source.
Claims
CLAIMS1. Hair treatment device (1), characterised in that it comprises a top portion (2) configured to be stably positioned on the top of the user's head; at least a pair of functional portions (3) extending from the top portion (2), made at least partially of a thermally conductive material and having at least one contact surface (4) arranged to be placed in contact with a user's hair, the functional portion (3) being associated with a perimeter area of the user's head; a pair of heat sources (6) each placed within the a relative functional portion (3), thermally associated with the contact surface (4) and configured to transmit heat to the user's hair characterized in that the top portion (2) comprises a support (30) that can be fixed to a user's head, the functional portions (3) being rotatable with respect to the support (30).
2. Device (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that comprising a connecting element (32) arranged between the functional portions (3) and the support (30), the connecting element (32) being rotatable with respect to the support (30) around a central axis (A).
3. Device (1) according to the preceding claim, wherein the connecting element (32) defines a hinge (33) with respect to the support (30).
4. Device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the support (30) is defined by a circle.
5. Device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein each functional portion (3) is flexible.
6. Device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein each functionalportion (3) has a substantially circular cross-section.
7. Device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that it comprises an even number of functional portions (3) configured to be positioned symmetrically to each other on a user's head.
8. Device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that it comprises four functional portions (3).
9. Device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the heat source (6) is defined by an electrical resistance placed within the functional portion (3).
10. Device (1) according to the of the preceding claims, characterised in that it comprises electrical supply means (8) associated with the heat source (6) and placed in the top portion (2) and / or in the functional portions (3).
11. Device (1) according to claim 6 or 7, wherein electrical power supply means (8) comprise at least one battery (9) preferably of a rechargeable type.
