Vehicle wheel bearing

Abstract

According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is a vehicle wheel bearing for rotatably mounting a vehicle wheel to a vehicle body and supporting same. The vehicle wheel bearing according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a wheel hub on which a vehicle wheel is mounted and which rotates together with the vehicle wheel; at least one inner ring mounted on the wheel hub; an outer ring coupled and fixed to a vehicle body-side member; a plurality of rolling elements for supporting the wheel hub and the inner ring to be able to rotate relative to the outer ring; and a sealing member for preventing the entry of foreign substances from the outside. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a sectional toothed portion is provided on the inner axial end of the wheel hub or the inner ring, so that the sectional toothed portion may mesh with a corresponding sectional tooth portion formed on a constant velocity joint so as to transmit power. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the sealing member may comprise: an outboard-side sealing member for sealing at the outer axial end portion of the bearing space in which the rolling elements are positioned; an inboard-side sealing member for sealing at the inner axial end portion of the bearing space in which the rolling elements are positioned; and a toothed-portion sealing member for sealing around the sectional toothed portion. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the toothed-portion sealing member may comprise: a frame to be mounted on the inner ring; and an elastic sealing portion attached to the frame. The elastic sealing portion may comprise a sealing lip formed to extend toward the constant velocity joint. The sealing lip may be configured to provide sealing by coming in contact with a groove provided on the outer circumferential surface of the constant velocity joint.
