Description

[0001] A MAGAZINE BASE PLATE INTENDED TO BE USED FOR FIREARMS

[0002] Technical Field

[0003] The invention relates to the construction of a magazine base plate which prevents the magazine spring from bending when the base plate is connected to the magazines of firearms.

[0004] State of the Art

[0005] The mechanism that keeps the bullets of firearms such as pistols and rifles ready for firing, carries a certain number of bullets, and is used to feed these bullets into the barrel one after the other is called a magazine. In general terms, magazines consist of a body, a spring, a follower, a base and a base lock. The magazine body is the largest part of the magazine and is the part in which the cartridges are placed.

[0006] The magazine spring pushes up on the follower to ensure that each cartridge fits accurately between the lips of the magazine.

[0007] The magazine base and the base lock are the part that is located at the bottom of the magazine body and keeps the cartridges in the magazine. It is made to close the side of the magazine body.

[0008] In the magazine configuration, the most fundamental factor that determines the movement of the cartridges and therefore the total capacity of the magazine is the magazine spring.

[0009] Magazine springs can react differently, especially in cases where external parts such as the magazine base plate pool, etc. are added to the magazine.

[0010] As in conventional magazine mechanisms, the magazine spring is spread and partially tensioned in the magazine. As shown in Figure 1, a part such as a magazine base plate pool can be connected to the magazine by sliding it horizontally from the bottom. With this connection, the spring, which is partially installed to be inserted in the previous capacity of the magazine, is released in the direction of the magazine base plate pool, and with this movement, the spring spreads into the inside of the pool. However, it is not desirable to distort the shape of the spring during this assembly movement. For a proper connection, it is desirable that when the base plate is connected to the magazine, the magazine spring should sit flat in the magazine base plate pool without distortion.

[0011] In the embodiments in the state of the art, during the assembling of the magazine spring in the magazine base plate, the bottom 1 or 2 nodes of the spring may be bent into the depth of the magazine base plate pool. Since this situation reduces the total vertical installation capability of the spring, it leads to the desired number of rounds cannot be loaded into the chamber, resulting in the firearm being used with fewer rounds and becoming inefficient.

[0012] The magazine configuration shown in Figure 2 is an example of an embodiment in the state of the art. In this embodiment, after the magazine and the magazine base plate are connected, the state where the spring in the magazine is placed in the magazine base plate pool is shown.

[0013] After the two parts are connected, since there is no obstruction in the magazine base plate pool, the spring is free and therefore bends in the pool.

[0014] The bending shown in Figure 2 actually shortens the length of the magazine spring and reduces the installation capacity. Such a problem may cause the weapon to hold fewer cartridges than desired or not function at all.

[0015] Patent application numbered TR 2007 / 03776 describes a classical magazine configuration that can be used in all types of firearms, machine pistols, machine guns, assault rifles and antiaircraft guns, hold a large number of rounds and fires multiple rounds.

[0016] Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0017] The aim of the invention is to provide a magazine base plate which prevents the magazine spring from bending when the base plate is connected to the magazines of firearms.

[0018] For this purpose, at least a protrusion is formed on the magazine base plate.

[0019] In the preferred embodiment of the invention, a male protrusion is designed on the magazine base plate to aid spring positioning. The purpose of the protrusion is to prevent bending by positioning and / or fastening the spring.

[0020] Rather than the spring being held in place, the protrusion of the invention is intended to prevent the spring node from breaking on the invisible part of the inside. This configuration will provide a significant advantage, especially in the case of connecting base plates used with flat pools. In this embodiment, since the spring is not visible inside, when the base plate is connected to the magazine, the condition of the spring cannot be recognized and misuse may occur.

[0021] With the use of the inventive configuration, the bending problem has been completely eliminated.

[0037] 7. Lower part base Description of the Invention

[0038] The invention relates to a magazine base plate (3) which is provided with at least one assembling track (4) for connecting by horizontally sliding into the magazine (1) comprising at least one spring (2) therein, and which comprises at least one cavity (5) in its interior.

[0039] Said magazine base plate (3) is provided with at least one blocking element (6) for preventing the spring (2) from bending during the connection by horizontally sliding the base plate (3) into the magazine (1).

[0040] According to Figure 3, which shows the preferred embodiment of the invention, the blocking element (6) is configured in the form of a protrusion.

[0041] As shown in Figure 1, the engagement between the magazine and the base plate is provided by connecting the base plate (3) to the magazine (1) by sliding it horizontally. For this purpose, said magazine base plate (3) has an assembling track (4). Said assembling track (4) is intended to be connected to the counterpart of the assembling track (4) formed on the magazine (1).

[0042] More specifically, the female channels of the magazine base plate (3) pass into the male parts of the magazine (1) body.

[0043] The magazine (1) body, which enters the female channels of the magazine base plate (3), is pushed forward, allowing the magazine spring (2) to be inserted into the magazine base plate (3) pool.

[0044] As a result of this movement, the magazine spring (2) is fully inserted into the magazine base plate (3) pool. While the blocking element (6) in the form of a protrusion formed on the magazine base plate (3) is placed in the cavity (5) formed in the form of a pool, the blocking element (6) prevents the spring (2) from being installed in an upright position and ensures proper installation.

[0045] In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the blocking element (6) is formed on the lower part base (7). In this embodiment, the upper part of the lower part base (7) defines a cavity (5) configured in the form of a pool. According to Figure 5, the blocking element (6) is configured on the lower part base (7) in such a way that its perimeter remains empty. More particularly, according to Figure 5, the blocking element (6) is formed in the central section of the lower part base (7).

[0046] According to Figure 4, the blocking element (6) is configured as a monolithic protrusion on the lower part base (7). In different embodiments of the invention, forms of the blocking element (6) which can be an external part and which can be connected to the lower part base (7) can also be used.

[0047] Figure 5 shows an embodiment of the blocking element (6), in which it consists of a block (6.1) with one end beveled on the lower part base (7) and the other end flat (6.2).
