[0001] Connection and coupling piece for a corrugated hose
[0002] The present invention relates to a connecting and coupling piece for a hose according to the general term of claim 1 .
[0003] Corrugated hoses are used to accommodate electrical, pneumatic and other lines and thereby protect them. Accordingly, such a connecting and coupling piece for a corrugated conduit has a sleeve-shaped base body which has a first section with an insertion opening for inserting the corrugated conduit at its one end. The other end of the base body, forming a second section of the base body, serves as a connecting element for inserting the base body into a housing wall, for example, and fastening it there. The base body has at least one locking element at its end receiving the corrugated tube, which engages in the outside of the corrugated tube and locks it in the base body. The first section of the base body is subdivided with respect to the second section of the base body on the inside with a shoulder, in that the inside diameter of the second section is smaller than the inside diameter of the first section.
[0004] This type of connecting piece is required to hold the end of the corrugated hose securely and also to seal the end of the corrugated hose against moisture in particular. For this purpose, a hose-shaped seal is provided between the inner surface of the first section of the base body and the outer surface of the corrugated hose, which rests with its end opposite the insertion opening against the shoulder at the transition between the first section and the second section and has a circumferential flange projecting inwards at this end.
[0005] It has been shown that a corrugated hose inserted into the connecting piece is only sufficiently sealed if it is in the correct position. The correct position is when the end face of the corrugated hose is in contact with the flange of the seal. The correct positioning of the corrugated hose in the connecting piece is not recognisable to the user of the connecting piece, so that leaks can result even though the corrugated hose is sufficiently locked in the connecting piece via the locking elements engaging in the corrugation troughs.
[0006] A connecting element for a corrugated hose as described above, in which, however, the locking elements engaging in the outer surface of the corrugated hose are provided in a so-called sliding sleeve, is known from DE 40 20 171 C1.
[0007] Based on the state of the art, the present invention is based on the task of creating a connecting and coupling piece in which it is ensured that the end of a corrugated hose accommodated therein is sufficiently sealed via the seal in the housing.

[0010] The connecting and coupling piece has a tubular seal which has at least one outer projection on its outer surface and at least one inner projection associated with this at least one outer projection on its inner surface. The at least one outer projection is assigned to an opening in the base body and has such a length that it is only pressed radially outwards into the opening of the base body by the last shaft elevation at the end of the shaft hose when the end face of the shaft hose is in contact with the flange of the seal, in that the last shaft elevation is pressed onto the inner projection.
[0011] The last shaft elevation acts on the inner projection and pushes it radially outwards so that the outer projection protrudes from the opening of the base body beyond its outer side. This immediately indicates to the user of the connecting piece that the corrugated hose is correctly positioned and thus sealed. This correct positioning can be immediately recognised by the user not only visually, but also by touch. Preferably, the tubular seal has at least two outer projections, with each outer projection being assigned an inwardly directed inner projection, which presses the respective outer projection into the assigned opening via the corrugation of the corrugated hose. Two or more of these outer projections are evenly distributed around the circumference of the seal.

The connecting and connecting piece, as shown in the figures, and in particular with reference firstly to Figure 1 , comprises a sleeve-shaped base body 1 which has at one end a first section 2 with an insertion opening 3 for inserting a corrugated hose 4.

[0025] When the corrugated hose 4 is to be connected to the connecting piece, the corrugated hose 4 is inserted into the insertion opening 3 of the first section 2 of the base body 1 , so that the locking elements 7 of the base body 1 engage in the successive corrugated troughs 8 of the corrugated hose 4. However, it is not apparent to the user whether the corrugated tube 4 is already positioned in the first section 2 of the base body 1 in such a way that the end or the end face 14 of the corrugated tube 4 is in contact with the flange 13 of the seal 11 , whereby the effective sealing effect of the seal 11 is achieved. However, in order to indicate the correct position of the corrugated hose in the seal 11 to the user, the tubular seal 11 has at least one outer projection 15 on its outer surface and an inner projection 16 associated with this at least one outer projection 15 on its inner surface. The outer projection 15 is assigned to an opening 17 in the base body 1 and has such a length that, when the end face 14 of the corrugated hose 4 is in contact with the flange 13 of the seal 11 , it is pressed radially outwards into the opening 17 of the base body 1 by the last corrugated projection 9 of the corrugated hose 4, in that the last corrugated projection 9 acts on the inner projection 16 and presses it radially outwards. The outer projection 15 of the seal 11 is dimensioned such that, viewed in the radial direction, it is longer than the thickness of the base body 1 in the area of the opening 17 and thus protrudes beyond the outside of the base body 1 when the shaft elevation 9 of the corrugated hose 4 acts on the inner projection 16. This indicates to the user that the corrugated hose 4 in its end position is in contact with the flange 13 of the seal 11 , thereby ensuring that the seal 11 has a sufficient sealing effect. This end position can be recognized by the user visually and by feeling the outer projection 15 protruding over the outer surface of the base body 1 .
[0026] In Figure 3, which shows a perspective view of the tubular seal 11 , four outer projections 15 are evenly distributed around its outer circumference, each of which is assigned an inner projection 16 on the inner surface. Such a number of projections makes it possible to determine the correct positioning of the corrugated hose 4 in the base body 1 , regardless of how the connecting and coupling piece is held. While in the embodiment as shown in Figures 1 and 2, the locking elements 7 are part of the base body 1 , the embodiment of Figure 4 shows a base body 1 in which a so-called sliding sleeve 18 is inserted from the insertion opening 3, on which resilient locking elements 7 are arranged, which, corresponding to the embodi- ment of Figure 1 , lock in a shaft trough 8 of a corrugated hose 4 (not shown). A seal 11 , as shown in Figure 3, is also used in this embodiment of Figure 4, although the number of outer projections 15 and inner projections 16, which are distributed around the circumference of the seal 11 , can also vary here. To ensure that the respective outer projection 15 on the seal 11 can be easily moved radially outwards, it is held in the wall of the seal 11 in the form of a diaphragm-shaped connection 19, as shown in particular in Figure 2, in that the wall thickness of the seal 11 in this connection area can be increased. is reduced in this connection area.
Claims
Claims1 . Connection and coupling piece for a corrugated hose (4) with a sleeve-shaped base body (1 ) which has a first section (2) with an insertion opening (3) for inserting a corrugated hose (4) at one end and a second section (5) forming a connecting element (6) at its other end first section (2) with an insertion opening (3) for inserting a corrugated hose (4) at its one end and a second section (5), which forms a connecting element (6), at its other end, at least one locking element (7) being provided which engages in the corrugated hose (4), locking it in the basic body (1 ), the first section (2) having a shoulder (10) on the inside opposite the second section (5), by which the inner diameter of the first section (2) is reduced in relation to the inner diameter of the second section (5), and with a tubular seal (11 ) which bears against the inner surface of the first section (2) of the base body (1 ), bears against the shoulder (10) with its end opposite the insertion opening (12) and has an inwardly projecting circumferential flange (13) at this end, circumferential flange (13) at this end, characterized in that the tubular seal (11 ) has at least one outer projection (15) on its outer surface and has an inner projection (16) associated with this at least one outer projection (15) on its inner surface, the outer projection (15) being associated with an opening (17) in the base body (1 ) and the outer projection (15) having such a length, that the outer projection (15), when the end face (14) of the corrugated hose (4) at the end of the corrugated hose (4) is in contact with the flange (13) of the seal (11 ), is pressed radially outwards into the opening (17) of the basic body (1 ) by its last corrugated projection (9), in that the last corrugated projection (9) presses radially outwards on the inner projection (16) and the latter thus projects beyond the outside of the basic body (1 ).
2. Connection and coupling piece according to claim 1 , characterized in that the tubular seal (11 ) has at least two outer projections (15) and each outer projection (15) is associated with an inwardly directed inner projection (16).
3. Connection and coupling piece according to claim 2, characterized in that the outer projections (15) are evenly distributed around the circumference of the seal (11 ).
4. Connection and coupling piece according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the outer projections (15) are designed as wart-shaped nubs.
5. Connection and coupling piece according to any of claims 1 to 4, character- ized in that the outer projections (15) and / or the inner projections (16) are designed as webs.
6. Connection and coupling piece according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the inner projections each have rounded or beveled edges at their ends.
7. Connection and coupling piece according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the wall thickness of the seal (11 ) is reduced in the transition to the inner projection (16).
