AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Conventional aluminum fins for heat exchangers in outdoor units of air conditioners face challenges in achieving a blackened aesthetic appearance while maintaining hydrophilicity to prevent condensation water adhesion and splashing, which can lead to ventilation blockage and reduced heat exchange efficiency.

Method used

An aluminum fin material with a corrosion-resistant resin coating layer containing a black pigment and a hydrophilic coating layer, where the L value is controlled to 83 or less, ensuring a black appearance and effective hydrophilicity to prevent condensation water adhesion.

Benefits of technology

The solution provides an aluminum fin material with excellent aesthetics and hydrophilicity, preventing condensation water splashing and maintaining heat exchange efficiency by controlling the L value and using specific pigments and resins in the coating layers.

Abstract

Provided is an aluminum fin member that is capable of having an improved appearance due to the surface thereof being blackened, has excellent hydrophilicity, and is capable of suppressing the adhesion of condensation. An aluminum fin member (10) includes an aluminum plate (1) and a coating layer (2) formed on the surface of the aluminum plate (1). The coating layer (2) includes, in the following order from the aluminum plate (1) side, a corrosion-resistant resin coating layer (3) and a hydrophilic coating layer (4). The corrosion-resistant resin coating layer (3) contains a black pigment (6), and the L*value in the L*a*b color system obtained by using a spectrophotometer to measure the surface of the aluminum fin member (10) is 83 or less.
