[0001] AUTOMATIC DOOR OPENING AND CLOSING MECHANISM

[0002] Field of the Invention

[0003] The present invention reiates to an automatic door opening and closing mechanism used on the doors of ail motor vehicles such as cars, minibuses, lorries and vans.

[0004] In particular, the present invention relates to an automatic door opening and closing mechanism for automatically opening and closing vehicle doors by means of a remote control.

[0005] State of the Art

[0006] Various electronic systems have been developed with today's developing technology in order to provide comfort in motor vehicles, especially in passenger cars, and automatic opening and closing of vehicle doors has been provided. However, these developments are mostly used in electric vehicles in terms of their technological development.

[0007] In current practices, the majority of motor vehicles, especially those with internal combustion engines, do not have automatic door opening mechanisms. Because the mechanisms in the state of the art are have structures that require serious modifications in vehicle doors and have heavy and cumbersome systems. This increases the weight of the vehicle and causes assembly difficulties and the need for additional parts. For the installation of these mechanisms on the vehicle door, it is necessary to use metal connection sheets and connection brackets and labour- intensive applications are made on the door. On the other hand, in addition to labour losses due to the dismantling of the vehicle torpedo part during assembly, maintenance and repair operations are costly and cause loss of time in case of malfunctions that occur during the use of the system. In the systems of the state of the art, large motors are used and when the door is closed manually, the system malfunctions. For this reason, in the state of the art, there is a need for a mechanism that can be easily mounted on the door of all motor vehicles without the need for modification and eliminates the risk of failure during use. The document numbered TR2019 / 18049 can be cited as an example of the state of the art in the literature research. Said document relates to the automatic door for armored vehicles, which enables heavy doors that are difficult to open and close with manpower to be opened and closed easily without a push-button system. Said automatic door is intended tor use only in armored vehicles and is not suitable for use in vehicles such as cars, minibuses, trucks and vans.

[0008] As a result of the aforementioned issues and the limited supply of available solutions, it became necessary to carry out an improvement in the relevant technical field.

[0014] Another object of the present invention is to provide an automatic door opening and closing mechanism which eliminates the risk of failure during door opening and closing. Another object of the present invention is to provide a door opening and closing mechanism which can be applied to all vehicle doors as an original during production or can be integrated after production without the need for modification.

[0015] Another object of the present invention is to provide a door opening and closing mechanism which enables vehicle doors to be closed by applying very low force even without remote control.

[0016] The invention is an automatic door opening and closing mechanism used in the doors of all motor vehicles such as cars, minibuses, lorries and vans, in order to fulfil all the purposes that may arise from the above-mentioned and detailed description, comprising; tension mounting plate, which is connected to the side surface of the vehicle body,

[0017] - a rack and pinion gear, which is connected to the tension mounting plate in a free rotational movement,

[0018] - body, which is connected to the door leaf and reciprocates on the rack and pinion gear,

[0019] - reducer gear, which is located in the body and moves together with the body on the rack and pinion gear and enables the door leaf to be opened and closed automatically,

[0020] - gearmotor, which is associated with the reducer gear on the lower side of the body and enables the reducer gear to make rotational movement and at the same time to control the door opening and closing mechanism by means of an electronic card for opening and closing the door leaf.

[0043] Detailed Description of the Invention

[0044] In this detailed description, the preferred alternatives of the inventive door opening and closing mechanism (100) is described only for clarifying the subject matter such that no limiting effect is created. Figure 1 a shows the view of the door opening and closing mechanism (100) of the present invention mounted on the door leaf (300). Accordingly, the door opening and closing mechanism (100) mainly comprises the following; a tension mounting plate (10) connected to the side surface of the vehicle body (200), an inclined rack and pinion gear (20) connected to the tension mounting plate (10) in such a way that it can make free rotational movement, a body (30) moving back and forth on the rack and pinion gear (20), a reducer gear (40) located in the body (30) and moving together with the body (30) on the rack and pinion gear (20), which enables the door leaf (300) to open and close automatically, a gearmotor (50), which is associated with the reducer gear (40) on the lower side of the body (30) and enables the reducer gear (40) to make rotational movement and at the same time to control the door opening and closing mechanism (100) by means of the electronic card, a door leaf connection plate (60) for connecting the body (30) to the inner surface of the door leaf (300).

[0045] In the door opening and closing mechanism (100) of the present invention, the tension mounting plate (10) is connected to the side surface of the vehicle body (200) as shown in Figure 1b. Said tension mounting plate (10) is mounted in place of the balance arm located on the vehicle body (200) and door leaf (300) of motor vehicles such as cars, minibuses, trucks and vans without any drilling.

[0046] A rack and pinion gear (20) is connected to the tension mounting plate (10) in a free rotational movement. Said rack and pinion gear (20) is inclined as shown in Figure 2. This inclined structure ensures that the door leaf (200) closes properly.

[0047] For the opening and closing movement of the door leaf (300), a body (30) is connected to the inner surface of the door leaf (300) by means of a door leaf connection sheet (60). Said body (30) reciprocates on the rack and pinion gear (20).

[0048] In order for the body (30) to move back and forth on the rack and pinion gear (20), a reducer gear (40) associated with the rack and pinion gear (20) is placed inside the body (30) as shown in Figures 3a and 3b. Said reducer gear (40) moves together with the body (30) on the rack and pinion gear (20) and enables the door leaf (300) to be opened and closed automatically. A gearmotor (50) is connected to the reducer gear (40) on the underside of the body (30) for driving the rotational movement of the reducer gear (40). Said gearmotor (50), preferably a brushless DC motor, provides rotational movement of the reducer gear (40) and at the same time controls the door opening and closing mechanism (100) by means of an electronic card for opening and closing the door leaf (300). In addition, there is an encoder on the gearmotor (50) which controls the direction and speed of rotation of the gearmotor (50) to the reducer gear (40) according to the signal from the aforementioned electronic card.

[0049] As shown in Figure 4, at least one door fixing screw (31 ) on the body (30) is used to connect the body (30) to the door leaf connection sheet (60) on the door leaf (300). The gearmotor (50) is also fixed to the body (30) by means of at least one motor fixing screw (32) on the body (30), which enables the gearmotor (50) to be connected to the body (30). Furthermore, at least one centering pin (33) is arranged on the body (30) in contact with the non-threaded surface of the rack and pinion gear (20). Said centering pin (33) supports the rack and pinion gear (20) and ensures the centering of the rack and pinion gear (20) while the reducer gear (40) moves on the rack and pinion gear (20) together with the body (30).

[0050] The operating principle of the inventive door opening and closing mechanism (100) is as follows:

[0051] As seen in Figure 6, when the door leaf (300) is in the closed position, an opening signal is sent to the electronic card via the remote control and the gearmotor (50) activates the reducer gear (40). The reducer gear (40) moves together with the body (30) on the rack and pinion gear (20), and while the rack and pinion gear (20) also rotates, the door leaf (300) opens as seen in Figure 5. The opening angle of the door leaf (200) can be adjusted with the encoder on the gearmotor (50).

[0052] The door leaf (300) can be closed manually or with the closing signal sent via the remote control.
