[0002] The invention relates to a bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker, a foldable wheeled walker comprising said bag and a method of safely storing times in such a bag mounted to a foldable wheeled walker.

[0007] Therefore, the invention provides a bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker, in particular a bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to claim 1. The bag comprises a first bag part having a first rear side arranged to face a first side of a folding arrangement of the wheeled walker and a second bag part having a second rear side arranged to face a second side of the folding arrangement. At least one of the first bag part and the second bag part comprise a receiving volume for receiving items therein. The first bag part and the second bag part are foldable in a direction that is in a plane of the first rear side and the second rear side respectively.

The receiving volume 7 has an access opening 34 to allow the user to access the receiving volume to put in or take out a load. By providing the access opening 34 in a direction away from the rear side, the user can access the receiving opening without hindering or being hindered by the folding arrangement of the walker. The access opening 34 of the first and / or second bag part 2, 3 can be closable by a flap element 8. In the example shown in Fig. 3A, the flap element 8 is provided on a top side 9 of the bag 1, and closes both openings of the receiving volume 7 of the first bag part 2 and second bag part 3 respectively. Alternatively, the flap element 8 may only partially close a receiving volume 7 of a corresponding bag part 2, 3 and / or may only be provided for one bag part 2, 3 having a receiving volume 7. In the shown example of Fig. 3A, the flap element 8 comprises a downward rib 20, which facilitates closing off the receiving volume 7. Specifically, the downward rib 20 can be attached to the corresponding bag part 2, 3, thereby preventing that the flap element 8 can open. Opposite of the downward rib 20, the flap element 8 is hingeably attached to the bag 1, such that the flap element 8 can be removed in order to access the corresponding receiving volume 7. The flap element 8 can comprise a rigid element, e.g. by making the flap element 8 completely or partially out of a rigid material, such as plastic, respectively. In the shown example of Fig. 3B, an alternative flap element 8 is depicted. The flap element 8 is arranged provided on a side opposite the rear side 21 of the associated bag part 2, 3. The flap elements 8 are hingeably connected towards the bottom of their associated bag parts 2, 3. The biasing elements 38 are arranged to be releasably connected to the foldable wheeled walker 10, in the shown example the biasing elements 38 are provided as a pair of elastically deformable loops 38. On the first side frame 14 and the second side frame 15 a pair of loop hooks 39 has been provided, the pair of loop hooks 39 being an example of a biasing connector arranged for cooperating with the biasing elements 38. Each elastically deformable loop 38 can be connected to a corresponding loop hook 39. Providing the loop hooks 39 towards the bottom of the corresponding side frame 14, 15 and towards the folding arrangement 11, it is facilitated that due to the elastic force applied by the biasing element 38 to the corresponding bag part 2, 3 that both bag part 2, 3 remain fixed relative to the foldable wheeled walker 10. In a further advantage, it biasing elements 38 and loop hooks 39 may ensure that each bag part 2, 3 covers the folding arrangement 11, increasing safety.

[0067] Referring to Figs. 7 A, 7B and 7C, various stages of folding of an foldable wheeled walker 10 have been depicted. Fig. 7A depicts the foldable wheeled walker 10 in the walking position, Fig. 7B depicts the foldable wheeled walker 10 in a semi-folded position and Fig. 7C depicts the foldable wheeled walker 10 in a folded position. Comparable to the previous examples, in the walking position, the first and second side frame 14, 15 are at a distance from each other with the folding arrangement 11 in an unfolded position therebetween as can be seen in Fig. 7 A. For example, while all examples relate to a foldable wheeled walker, it will be clear to the person skilled in the art that the bag may be used for a non-foldable wheeled walker as well. Furthermore, many different methods of attaching the bag, the bag parts, and components of the bag towards a foldable wheeled walker. Only a limited amount of examples are shown, but it will be understood to the skilled person that many other combinations of the various features in the shown examples are possible as long as they are comprised within the scope of the invention as defined by the following claims.

Claims

Claims1. Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker comprising:- a first bag part having a first rear side having a first width and a first height, arranged to face a first side of a folding arrangement of the wheeled walker;- a second bag part having a second rear side having a second width and a second height, arranged to face a second side opposite the first side of the folding arrangement;- wherein the first rear side and the second rear side are of the first bag part and the second bag part respectively and are facing each other;- wherein at least one of the first bag part and the second bag part comprises a receiving volume for receiving items therein;- wherein the first bag part and the second bag part are foldable in a folding direction, which folding direction is in a plane of the first rear side and the second rear side respectively, between an unfolded position in which the respective rear sides extend over their respective heights and widths, and a folded position in which the respective rear sides have a width smaller than their respective widths in the unfolded position.

Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to claim1, wherein the first bag part and / or the second bag part comprise a stiffening structure, adjustable between an expanded position, arranged to provide some stiffness to the respective bag part, and a folded position, wherein the stiffening structure is folded to allow the bag parts to fold in the folding direction in the plane of the respective rear sides.

Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to claim2, wherein the stiffening structure in the folded position projects in adirection transverse to the folding direction away from the associated rear side of the bag part to keep the bag part free from the folding arrangement of the wheeled walker.

Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the first bag part and I or the second bag part comprises a pair of side panels, wherein each side panel of the pair of side panels is provided on opposite sides of the corresponding bag part and wherein each side panel of the pair of side panels faces in the folding direction, and wherein each side panel of the pair of side panels is a shaperetaining side panel such that each side panel is arranged to have substantially the same shape when the bag is in the folded position and in the unfolded position.

5. Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to any of the preceding claims, wherein both the first bag part and the second bag part comprise a receiving volume for receiving items therein.

Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the receiving volume is provided with an access opening to allow users to access the receiving volume, optionally wherein the access opening extends in a direction away from the respective rear side of the respective bag pat comprising the receiving volume.

7. Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to claim 6, wherein the flap element is provided on a side opposite the rear side of the associated bag part.

8. Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to any of the preceding claims, further comprising a bridging section arranged to connect the first bag part and the second bag part.

9. Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to claim 8, wherein the bridging section is arranged to be — in use — positioned above the folding arrangement of the wheeled walker.

10. Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to any of the preceding claims, further comprising a seat section arranged to be substantially horizontal during use.

11. Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to any of the claims 6-10, wherein the bridging section is configured to comprise at least one of the flap element and the seat section.

12. Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to claim 11, wherein the bridging section and / or the seat section and / or the flap element is foldable in a direction parallel to the folding direction.

13. Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the bag comprises attachment elements arranged to releasably attach at least two of the first bag part, the second bag part, the flap element, the bridging section and the seat section to each other.

14. Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the bag comprises a mounting arrangement for mounting the bag to the wheeled walker.

15. Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the first bag part and I or the second bag part comprises a biasing element arranged to be releasably attached to a foldable wheeled walker.

16. Bag for mounting to a foldable wheeled walker according to claim 15, wherein the biasing element is provided towards a top or a bottom of the corresponding bag part.

17. Set of a foldable wheeled walker and a bag according to any of the preceding claims comprising a foldable wheeled walking having:- a first side frame and a second side frame connected by a folding arrangement such that the foldable wheeled walker has a walking position in which the first and second side frames are at a distance from each other with the folding arrangement in an unfolded position therebetween and a folded position in which the first and second side frames are adjacent to each other with the folding arrangement in a folded position therebetween;- a pair of wheels provided on the first side frame and on the second side frame such that a first wheel of the pair of wheels is provided towards a front of the corresponding side frame and a second wheel of the pair of wheels is provided towards a rear of the corresponding side frame, seen in walking direction; and- the bag mounted to the foldable wheeled walker such that the folding arrangement is in between the first rear side and the second rear side of the bag and the bag is foldable together with the wheeled walker.

18. Set according to claim 17, wherein the mounting arrangement comprises first mounting elements for mounting the bag to the foldable wheeled walker.

19. Set according to claim 18, wherein the foldable wheeled walker further comprises second mounting elements for cooperating with the first mounting elements of the bag.

20. Set according to claim 19, wherein the first mounting elements comprise a pivot element and the second mounting elements comprise a receiving element, wherein the pivot element and the receiving element are arranged for pivotably mounting the bag to the wheeled walker.

21. Set according to any of the claims 17-20, wherein the foldable wheeled walker further comprises a biasing connector for cooperating with the biasing element of the bag.

22. Set according to any of the claims 17-21, wherein the first mounting elements are at least provided to the bridging section.

23. Set according to any of the claims 17-22, wherein the bag part of the bag comprising the receiving volume is mounted at a rear side of the foldable wheeled walker in walking direction.

24. Set according to any of the claims 17-23, wherein the stiffening structure is arranged to in folded position to allow the bag parts to fold transverse to the folding direction.

25. Foldable wheeled walker comprising:- a first side frame and a second side frame connected by a folding arrangement such that the foldable wheeled walker has a walking position in which the first and second side frames are at a distance from each other with the folding arrangement in an unfolded position therebetween and a folded position in which the first and second side frames are adjacent to each other with the folding arrangement in a folded position therebetween; and- a pair of wheels provided on the first side frame and a pair of wheels provided on the second side frame such that a first wheel of the pair of wheels is provided towards a front of the corresponding side frame and asecond wheel of the pair of wheels is provided towards a rear of the corresponding side frame, seen in walking direction; the wheels of the two pairs of wheels defining a support plane;- wherein the wheeled walker is provided with a bag according to any of the claims 1-16 having a receiving volume for receiving items defining a load therein, wherein the receiving volume of the bag is arranged to the wheeled walker such that a projected position on the support plane of a center of gravity of the load, when in the receiving volume, is adjacent a center of the support plane of the wheeled walker, seen in a longitudinal direction of the wheeled walker.

26. Foldable wheeled walker according to claim 25, wherein a projection on the support plane of a combined center of gravity of the foldable wheeled walker, the receiving volume and the load, when in the receiving volume, is near the center of the support plane.

27. Foldable wheeled walker according to claim 25 or 26, wherein the receiving volume is arranged at a rear side of the folding arrangement, seen in a direction of walking.

28. Method of safely storing items in a foldable wheeled walker, comprising the steps of:- providing a foldable wheeled walker, said wheeled walker having a set of front wheels and a set of rear wheels provided towards afront of the wheeled walker and provided towards a rear of the wheeled walker in the direction of travel respectively;- providing a bag according to any of the claims 1-16;- mounting the bag to the foldable wheeled walker, such that at least one receiving volume is provided between the front wheels and rear wheels towards the rear wheels;- storing items in the receiving volume such that a combined center of gravity of the foldable wheeled walker, receiving volume and items in the receiving volume is located between the front wheels and the rear wheels, preferably halfway in between the front wheels and the rear wheels.
