Description

[0001] DESCRIPTION

[0002] A DATA COLLECTION SYSTEM

[0003] Technical Field

[0004] The present invention relates to a data collection system which enables the source of the problem to be detected and HV (high voltage) batteries to be monitored by collecting data relating to the battery in the events such as fire or accident by means of a black box integrated into the battery in addition to the vehicle computer or battery control unit.

[0005] Background of the Invention

[0006] A black box is a device consisting of various sensors and controllers, which monitor and control complex systems. Black boxes, which are manufactured to be resistant to collisions, heat and impacts, can collect and record data by means of their sensors. In the current technique, black boxes are commonly used in airplanes, and in vehicles, cameras or sensors are used for data recording in the event of accidents. However, in the event of an accident, the said cameras and sensors may get damaged and data recording cannot be performed. In particular, there is no data monitoring system developed for monitoring problems caused by batteries.

[0007] For this reason, considering the studies and deficiencies included in the current technique, it is understood that there is a need for a data collection system for monitoring the batteries, collecting data and checking the data relating to the batteries in the event of problems.

[0008] The Korean patent document no. KR20220134871A, an application included in the state of the art, discloses a black box system which is designed for electric vehicles and is integrated into the electric vehicle battery. The system provides power for the black box unit integrated in the vehicle battery pack to record longer with the fast-charging auxiliary battery system, especially when the vehicle has been in parking for a long time. In this way, the black box unit can record for a longer period of time compared to normal driving time. In the current technique, since the auxiliary batteries operate connected to the main battery of the vehicle, the charge state of the main battery must be sufficient and reliable. For this reason, the charge state of the main battery may cause various problems regarding the charge of the auxiliary battery in cases where the vehicle stops and is not running. The auxiliary battery module is directly connected to the black box and to the main battery of the vehicle. The battery packs in the vehicle are connected in parallel to each other in order to increase the operating time of the black box. The choice of power supply to the black box can be changed from the main battery of the vehicle to the auxiliary battery by switching the ACC (Accessory mode) of the vehicle on and off.

[0009] Summary of the Invention

[0010] An object of the present invention is to realize a data collection system which enables the source of the problem to be detected and HV (high voltage) batteries to be monitored by collecting data in the events such as fire or accident, in addition to the vehicle computer or battery control unit.
