Abstract
Description
PACKAGING APPARATUSTECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present disclosure generally relates to automated packaging machines. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a packaging apparatus for making containers and packing products in the container.BACKGROUND
[0002] The following description of related art is intended to provide background information pertaining to the field of the disclosure. This section may include certain aspects of the art that may be related to various features of the present disclosure. However, it should be appreciated that this section be used only to enhance the understanding of the reader with respect to the present disclosure, and not as admissions of prior art.
[0003] The field of automated packaging technology has seen significant advancements over the years. Existing packaging technologies / devices / apparatuses are implemented in two functions, viz. manufacturing containers (which may be in the form of paper / cloth / plastic bags, boxes, bubble wraps, and the like), and packing goods / products into the containers. Though there are advanced packaging technologies, there are challenges that remain in optimizing the cost and rate of container production and packaging of products thereinto.
[0004] Traditional packaging systems often use pre-opened containers or tubular film rolls, each of which have their own set of limitations in terms of cost, production rate, and flexibility. In conventional systems, the pre-opened containers are used as consumables for packing products. This approach involves a multi-step process that includes the manufacture of pre-opened containers on a different machine and supplied to a packing machine, the insertion of products (container into the container, and the sealing of the containers thereafter. While effective, this method is time-consuming and incurs high costs due to the manufacturing and material expenses associated with pre-opened containers. Additionally, such methods provide limited flexibility in terms of adjusting container sizes, as the existing machines typically accommodate only containers of a predetermined size(s).
[0005] To address the high costs and limited flexibility associated with the preopened containers, some manufacturers have adopted the use of different type of film rolls. However, the existing machines designed to process different type of films often suffer from low production rate due to the mechanical complexity of the container-manufacturingprocess. Moreover, these machines cannot easily accommodate pre-opened containers, further limiting their versatility. Although several prominent packaging machine manufacturers provide machines adapted for pre-opened containers to achieve better production rates, such packaging machines suffer from drawbacks such as high cost of consumables, limited size flexibility, incompatibility with tubular fdms, low production rate, and the like.
[0006] Therefore, there is a need to address the above-mentioned drawbacks, along with any other shortcomings, or at the very least, to provide an alternative to the packaging machine.OBJECTS OF THE PRESENT DISCLOSURE

In the packaging station (102B), the containers may be extended out and support on the inclined supporter (150) and the shelf (148) as shown in FIGs. 1 and 2. The user / operator may place the products into the container through the opening created by the pneumatic cylinder (402), as shown in FIG. 5A. Once the products are placed, the packaging station (102B) may be configured to seal the container, and detach the container from the film, as shown in FIG. 5B. To seal the second end of the container, the second end may be pressed between the clamping cylinder (126) and the top sealing bar (124). A sealing means between the clamping cylinder (126) and the top sealing bar (124) may seal the container. Further, to remove the container from the film, the perforations in the second / bottom side may be tom by rotating the secondary indexing rollers (128) in the reverse direction while the clamping cylinder (126) and the top sealing bar (124) are pressing on the container while sealing, as shown in FIG. 5B. Once the container is removed, the secondary indexing rollers (128) may resume forward rotation to extend the next container on the film out and support the next container on the shelf (148). Further, the air curtain (134) may provide a consistent airflow to maintain the container in an open position during a process of packaging to allow the products to be placed therein as the container holder (136) holds the next container, as shown in FIG. 5A.
